The blame game, but where does the buck stop?

Morning all.

The debate goes on about who’s to blame for all things bad at Arsenal. Well, it certainly does here.

Arsene Wenger is deemed to be the most guilty, after all, he signs the players, he trains them, plays them and in his system. He’s also the one who fails to spend money on players when we the fans believe we so desperately need them. He’s too soft, picks his favourites and doesn’t adapt his tactics depending on who we face and he over trains them or overplays them which results in so many suffering injury.

Stan Kroenke is blamed too as if he was more ambitious, he’d demand a lot more from his manager, he’d ensure the Frenchman spent more of the reported £200 million which sits in the bank and he’d make us winners. In fact if he was serious about wanting to be a successful owner and not just financially, he’d have sacked Arsene Wenger before now, or certainly not given him a new contract.

Then there’s the players, most of whom are pretty good aren’t they? Yes, all they need is better training, better tactics and a more robust manager who’d demand a lot more from them each game. A manager who would get more from Walcott, stop Ramsey from bombing forward at every given opportunity and one who would never have dreamt of bringing Flamini back to the club, regardless of him being free.

Ah, but hang on, these players are all professional, highly paid footballers who surely want to be successful aren’t they? Of course, so why aren’t they all working hard for themselves and the club?

The same applies to Arsene Wenger. He’s paid handsomely for doing his job but whatever he’s doing, it’s not quite right is it? So in theory, he’s no better than the players who ‘fans’ believe a different manager would make much better.

So if a different manager would improve this group of players, whose job is it to improve Arsene Wenger?

Hope that all makes some kind of sense… 😉

The buck stops with Wenger. He is responsible for the matters ie recruitment, tactics etc.
He is lucky to be at Arsenal where he is indulged.Me thinks his time could be up and soon if the gunners continue to falter in the title race.

Good topic for discussion and a good read.

For me the blame lies with AW. My reason being he set the bar extremely high in his first 7 years that fans expect the same.

I am not an old timer supporter like the Kevs, Potter, Adam, Wath of this blogoshere but as a man interested in history I know as a club we are in a much better place now than we have vever been…

All I want is to out last the reign of AW to see the success fans are crying out for…
For the ‘AOBer’, AW leaving will make us some sort of domestic kings; history on teh other hand has shown from AC Milan, Ajax, PSV,Liverpool, BM, Monaco, OM, RM and most recently Man Utd that managerial transistions can take longer to bring success than waiting.

  3. Nashua Gunner says:

Good morning again to you all.
    Good read Rico.
I understand the criticism of AW when he doesn’t get things right. The Buck stops with him. He trained his players, he picked the team, and the instructions with regard to tackles. But some never gave him credit even when we won. Instead they down play the opposition that its not a good team.

Btw, AW is doing exactly what SK want. SK’s investment is going up the rooftop. It all about money. In American money is everything. Don’t believe otherwise.

  4. rico says:

I guess what I’m just throwing around is that if Wenger is to blame for so much, then who is to blame for Wenger?

If Kroenke is happy then it matters not what we fans think, Wenger will stay put.

I blame them both, one is gutless, and one is stubborn. Too stubborn to change. I also blame some of the players who just don’t seem to be able to work hard every game which again comes back to the lack of demands from AW… And Kroenke..

    It’s a chicken/egg situation isn’t it…..

  5. Mike nation says:

A very good analytical article. Arsene Wenger is certainly to blame and should have been replaced 5 years ago. We consistently implode after Xmas and the manager has regularly missed the opportunities that the January transfer brings to purchase the 2 players that would give us the very realistic chance of winning the premiership.

  6. tsgh says:

    Ditto Ng.

AW’s only fault is that he hasn’t walked away. Or he did not walk away in 2006 and made us a mid table team. I bet fans would still be calling for him if he had done that…

Maybe he is loyal to us or unambitious or a glutton for punishment but as frustrated as I get after a bad lose I still have to wake up and go to work and pay my 40% tax on this slave ship…

Football in the grand scheme of things is becoming less than secondary for me now, considering all the shite happening in this world…

I am beginning to understand why fans of smaller clubs I know consider Arsenal fans to be the biggest moaners in football. 🙂

  7. rico says:

But a transition doesn’t have to be long winded imo Ts, not when everything is in place as it is at Arsenal. Which is why I believe that someone already at the cub will be the next manager.

Not too much upset, the Academy stays the same but just a new, fresh approach to training and match days.

  8. tsgh says:

    chicken and egg indeed Rico.

looking at the state of Stan’s portfolios I wonder why we Arsenal fans think he should treat us any differently?

When I look at the state of Aston Villa or even the dippers, I count us lucky…

  9. rico says:

And just because other clubs have failed as they have replaced managers, it doesn’t mean we will.

It’s a bit like the ‘we don’t want to do a Leeds’ when fans call for money to be spent really…

  10. rico says:

    Welcome Mike.

Ng, you make a very good point there. When we beat City last season at their place, City were labelled average, same this season and then Utd’s midfield were woeful, which is the reason cited for us battering them so easily in the first half.

November and January have been awful though and it’s always the here and now which sticks in our minds…

  11. tsgh says:

Rico you have a powerful point.

Although I believe in the whole wo dares win mantra but talking about transistion I see no difference between us and the Barca, RM, both Milans, Juve and Yanited before they went through barren spells when the fans became too over ambitious…

I might sound like an AW apologist or defeatist but as the saying goes “Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it”…

Too many clubs have made that same error and gone into far worst positions than they were before the said changes fans were calling for…

The way i see it, its always the fans who suffer. The players just move on with their over inflated wages…

  12. tsgh says:

Pep, carlito and Klopp are now unavailable.

Who will fans want to replace AW. Simeone, Conte, Spalletti, emery?

De Boer can’t even beat CoCu in the Eredivisie so imho the EPL will be too much for him against oil backed City and teh chavs…

As I was saying yesterday the same old Huddink vs Cruyff discipleship battle…

  13. boiveall says:

The Man AW is the best we will ever have, the minute he goes the gunners will nose dive, AW is now closer to having the Team he has been trying to build after the INVS, if we don’t win the EPL ever one will say blame AW, but no, the players are the ones not hitting the target, not AW.

  14. keeps says:

Arsenal supporter to fully blame. They pay expensive match day tickets accept under per, mediocre performance from Giroud and co AW keeps lying about strengthening the strike force and does nothing they havent made their feeling know about the disservice from one GREEDY ARESEN WENGER. Can people boycott home matches please

  15. rico says:

I have to disagree Ts, there’s every reason to think Arsenal can get it right. Change doesn’t have mean failure imo..

Depends which side of the fence one sits I guess… 😉

  16. rico says:

    Welcome boiveall and keeps.

Boycotting the home games is all too easy to suggest but in practice, impossible as football fans support the team through good and bad don’t they? Not sure a empty stadium would do the players much good…

  17. tsgh says:

One thing is for sure Aw will never be there for ever.

I hope we around to see the end of his tutelage.

As he is not spending any new manager who comes in will have the cash to spend if it was available in the first place…

Not sure how we can be certain out board can do better than Yanited or RM or barca or FC Munchen did when those clubs are better at every other thing than us and have bigger bank balance…

boiveall have to agree with you with regards to the players taking some blame…

As Gary is finding out in valencia, you can be the most self motivated person and best leader but only 24 y.o earning £5m a year can really motivate themselves.

My beef is AW rewarding mediocre players after he has signed them and they have failed to impress.

  18. rico says:

The million dollar question about the money. That’s something which we might find out after he’s gone but have to agree re some of the players he bought, and then stuck with for far too long…

Yet again though, the question has to be, would a different manager get more from them? Is it all a bit too easy at Arsenal for some of the players….

  19. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good Morning Lovelies and Hunkies.

That is an interesting topic Rico. I enjoyed reading the article. Probably fuelled by the rantings we throw everyday.

Ginge I agree with many points you make. Then again we rarely disagree. lol.

We should meet up one day Ginge for a glass of wine or two or three. maybe four. Problem is…..I dont like London that much so it must be somewhere outside of London.

Now that would be a great day for me…..see you, Rico, Wath, Adam and me dear old buddy….the Lord of cabbies himself…..Kev le taxi.

I blame AW for many things….but who doesn’t. But at the end of the day he is responsible for two issues……playing staff and tactics. The problem is that the club have given him more than he should chew and that is creating a rift in his job.

What I find galling is that he has the money…..so at the end of the day its his stubborn mentality which is failing to get us better players. We have a good first 11 but imo not an equal 2nd 11. We do not have great players challenging the first 11 except in few positions.

Cech has no equal. He knows it but he gives a toss as he is a professional with an attitude. Sanchez the same…..he plays to win. He knows that no one can replace him but he does not care. His workrate is phenomenal. Monreal is our most consistent defender this year but he knows that there is Gibbs waiting in the wings. Bellerin has set top standards, but is having a dip atm. Incidentally, why doesn’t AW put chambers as a RB and put Bellerin in front of him as a winger? Better than Theo imo if we want to stretch defenders out wide.

Per is a good organiser but his lack of pace and age is catching up with him. But Gabriel is hard as nuts and what he lacks in experience he more than makes up for it with attitude. Kos the same. Coquelin is a consistent performer as well as is Cazorla. Ozil has upped this season and Aaron is performing well atm. Ollie has been carrying the attack and has scored 18 goals so far, but no one is challenging him so he needs to kick himself.

But beyond that??? We do not have great players who strike fear in other teams coming on. yes we can have 21 top internationals with a good back up keeper and three youngsters who can fill in. but we do not.

At the end of it all its AW himself who has to buy those top class backups. And rotate.

imagine we had Coquelin and Krychowiak…..both would have had a good number of games each and when games begin coming in thick and fast AW would have rested and rotated them.

  20. Malaysian gunner says:

Vardy scored his first goal from a high ball with only a defender near him. His second was off a deflected shot. Same with Aquero. Wenger’s tactics are easy to counter and neutralize with massed defences.
Until this changes ,imho, the speed of the attack is too slow unlike Vardy’s team and will be unlikely
to win the epl. I just hope I am wrong.
Btw,Spurs have never finished above Arsenal since Wenger came. All records are meant to be broken .So don’t be surprised Spurs finish higher than Arsenal. Then what?Especially if the gunners cant get cl qualification. If this happens Wenger shd bite the bullet

  21. scottfromoz says:

Wenger is a member of staff.
CEO’s and owners make businesses fail, not the staff.
If the staff aren’t doing their job, the big boys have a responsibility to replace them.
    It’s clear cut for mine.

  22. tsgh says:

AW or the club never seem to grasp why certain clubs chairpersons do not like dealing with us.

Krychowiak was apprently keen to join us before he went to Spain as he was struggling to get into bordeaux’s team. Same can be said of kramer at Bayer 04..

So what does Aw do? Most probably because he treats the club money like it is his (if rumours are to be believed), he goes back to the club to say forget about the bid on the table. Instead, I will take the player on loan with a view to buy if he impresses me. Club chairman and players’ agent tell AFC to shove it and then we miss out on a potential decent player…

AW then tells himself he could have paid 36m 12 months earlier and so he won’t pay £25m for the same player. Fans complain, we end up as 3rd and then he spends the next summer repeating the same.

As Zlatan at 17 y.o told AW to F’ off, so has a few players recently due to AW changing his mind…

Then again maybe Krychowiak may not have adopted to the EPl style of play so no one knows.

  23. tsgh says:

Scott- if you say it like that it is very simple and straight forward but other blogs will lead us to believe Aw controls the board? 😛

Maybe that is a conspiracy thoery…; Micko I ve’ loaded the gun for you. 😛

  24. Bob John says:

    Hi all
I would answer ‘all of the above’! And for the very reasons stated. Whatever Arsene’s shortcomings are, and there are a few, it is the players who miss the chances or don’t track back or get caught ballwatching. As for Krone. Don’t get me started!

  25. Wavy says:

TR7, it’s all over for him! Arsenal career coming to an end. Thigh injury far mores serious than first thought. Well there’s a shock!
No news about JW. My feeling is that he too is far more seriously ill and as a result he injures himself too easily. Premature osteoparosis perhaps. Certainly his body cannot cope with the rigours of football, for whatever reason or malfunction. Just be patient and wait for the announcement that he has had another set back, followed by another in June and another in October ad nauseum!
AW will then wonder why he wasn’t more proactive during the transfer window having deluded himself into believing ALL his players were fit for purpose or ar least would be soon! Well mr Wenger you got it wrong again and the team is paralysed by your inertia and misguided loyalty! When wil it ever end, when will it ever end! (Tune required).

Nice article ‘Eco’ enough to get us all moaning in harmony!

  26. allezkev says:

I’ll tell whose fault it is, it’s Danny Fiszman and Peter Hill-Wood…

They were responsible for the coup that ousted David Dein and the one man on the Board who truely understood and empathised with the fans, had Wengers back and didn’t let him get carried away with his projects…

The other directors are quite happy to let Wenger hang himself with own petard, whilst they hide in the background…

If Dein had stayed, we’d still be in the Emirates, Kroneke would be on the Board, but not in total control, and there would have definately been more quality investment in the squad…

It’s all conjecture tbh, but that’s my opinion.

  27. rico says:

    Afternoon Kev and all…

Kev, add the daftie who sold their shares to Kroenke to your list…. lol

Bob, same here. The hole lot play their part in the failings…

  28. Lee says:

I was on the ipad last night, when the Mrs came over and asked what I was doing…. told her I was looking at cheap flights. Her eyes lit up and she told me she loved me and we had a great sex. Surprising really, she’s never really shown an interest in darts before!

  29. Marshall says:

I’d say AW is to blame. The board and Stan support him on whatever move he’s making if Wenger points them to a certain direction they’d definitely follow suit. Unfortunately AW been less ambitious and too comfortable with his job. ‘He’s the only manager who is not under pressure’

  30. Wavy says:

I made a few remarks about JW earlier today and low here comes the first part of my prophecy! Hold your breath until the end of the season to see the second date come true etc.

The following quote appeared on BBC Sportsday web site a little earlier this afternoon. I truly believe that I am the next David Icke!!

Wilshere keen to get back to action
    Football
    Posted at 16:20
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere admits it has been difficult to stay positive in the face of his injuries.

The 24-year-old was due back this month after being out with a broken leg but his return has been delayed until mid-March.

    Jack Wilshere
    Getty Images
“Sometimes it’s been difficult to stay positive, especially after the injuries that I’ve had which have been frustrating, but as the injury goes, you get closer to full fitness and you see the light at the end of the tunnel, then you start to think about coming back and getting involved in the team,” he told the club website.

“I’m back on the pitch and I’m just trying to build my fitness up because everyone knows how tough it is to play in the Premier League. I’m working on it and I’m slowly getting there.”

  31. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good Evening Lovelies and Hunkies……….

Imo…..next summer AFC should release TR07, MF, MA and look to sell JW. Yes I would even sell him for around 20 mill. RVP only gave us one full season, stayed fit for one more at Manure then the old injuries returned. I would move on Per and also Gibbs by selling them.

I was just browsing through the net on players for every position…….and came up with this to make our team better…….obviously the 2nd 11 are by no means reserves….they are a team in their own right, so any player can fit in without any trouble.

    1st 11……

    Cech
    Bellerin, Kos,Gabriel, Nacho
    Coquelin, Cazorla,
    Aaron, Ozil, Sanchez
    Ollie

    2nd 11

    Ches
    AINA (Chavs…19), SCHAR, STONES, J HECTOR(Koln…25)
    Elneny, Chambers.
    Theo, ISCO, Ox
    DW23

That means a new defence……Aina (English) Schar (Swiss), Stones (English). Hector (German) plus Isco from Real.

From that lot only Stones would be very difficult to get as he would cost a lot of money. However the following would be sold it would balance the books…….

    Ospina 5.5 million
    Per 4 million
    JW (if fit) 20 million
    Gibbs 7million
    Campbell 9 million
    Gnabry 4 million
    Jenkinson 5 million
    Debuchy 5 million
    Wellington 5 million.

The youngsters under 21 I would all keep. MF, MA and TR Free release

That lot would fetch around 65 million. Enough imo to get Aina from the Chavs (free), Schar (15 million), Hector (10million), Isco (25 million)

the remaining 15 million would see the first year in wages of the above players.

Considering that AFc have nearly 200 million in the bank……35-50 million on Stones would be similiar to the fee that manure paid for Ferdinand.

All ifs and buts and fantasy…..but hey….that team would surely be much better than what we have now.

  32. Mark says:

I reckon a new manager would get more out of the team different Tactics hell some would say some tactics ! Dropping out of form players.
    Lots would change .
I’m also getting seriously fed up with Ramsey and the choices he makes. Always trying to play ‘ Hollywood balls & conceding possession. Or trying to shoot when a better option would have been a pass.

I don’t think people realise the negative effect it has on a game. Team constantly under pressure.
He had one standout season & has been flattering to deceive for a while now. I say let Barca have him and reinvest in a quality team player rather than a Glory Hunter !

We just don’t look like a team who are comfortable with the ball lately & when pressed rush things & make mistakes.
As for Transfers Just two players over two windows when we have aging crocks and insufficient cover for defense midfield & strikers speaks volumes about AW ! Especially when everyone else has noted we’ve needed recruits is a Disgrace!

When we go out of the cup & don’t get 4th place this year let’s hope beyond all hope that he goes!! It would be worth the pain .

  33. rico says:

Mark, so do I. Discipline, tactics, attitude – if all upped a gear, this crop of players could be much better imo.

Did you see Ramsey’s interview on the official site?

  34. Hell Raising Devil says:

    which ones Rico???

    Ospina 5.5 million
    Per 4 million
    JW (if fit) 20 million
    Gibbs 7million
    Campbell 9 million
    Gnabry 4 million
    Jenkinson 5 million
    Debuchy 5 million
    Wellington 5 million.

I still think they are reasonably priced.

  35. rico says:

Actually, saying that, the English players might fetch a bit more than you suggest, just because they are English….

But if AW stays there is no chance of him selling most of the players you name Imo.

  36. scottfromoz says:

Ginge, the board have no power, but that’s their own choice.
Why blame the staff member when those who should wield power reqlinquish it?
No, the buck starts at the top and that’s where it should, but doesn’t, end.
    Fukk off Stan.

  37. Lee says:

Hearing rumours Arsenal are charging a surcharge to season ticket holders for the Barcelona match…… Brudder is this true?

Also that the lack of activity in the last two transfer windows was done to Arsenal spending money on their training facilities….. **cough cough** What a load of bollocks!!!

  38. rico says:

Rumours are that Arsene Wenger has slapped a media ban on all the players…

And, Arsenal have agreed a deal with Madrid for Isco, He’ll be ours in the summer… 😉

    Morning Lee and all….

  39. rico says:

Sturridge wants out of Liverpool and we are top of the queue of clubs wanting to sign him…

Guess he has the right injury credentials… 😉

  40. rico says:

I bought the product Lee but when I went to itunes to sort out the settings, I couldn’t find it. Maybe I need to set the box up before going through the settings step….

  41. Joaquim Moreira says:

I want to go for aq swim too, rico.
If we win all the games til the end, probably will be champions.
Why you are talk about transfers now?
wht’s is done it’s done. Is with those players and manager that we can win something. We are 4th but we can upper next week, we are in the FA cup and in the Champions for be drop in next round.
So, we can fight for both domestic titles.

  42. rico says:

You have a nice blue ocean Jm… lol

It’s just the rubbish the media write re transfers…

Win all our games until the end of the season is asking for a lot from this team right now, but it’s not impossible. Isn’t this the time of the season we hit some form and go on a good run…

  43. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good Morning Lovelies and Hunkies

That is a great post boss. had to re read it this morning. over and over again. 😉

Sturridge is eyeing exit. Give them Theo+ £1 in exchange I would say. Straight swap.

What do you think Rico and Kev??

  44. rico says:

    I suspect it resembled yesterday’s Devil… lol

    There won’t be one today..

I wouldn’t give Klopp Theo, never in a month of Sunday’s…

    Catch up in a bit….

  45. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Why not Kev???

    6ft 2 (taller than Theo)
44 goals in 72 apps for the dippers
Age 26. Looking for a new start and wanting to prove himself.

Yes, I agree Rico….would not give Theo to Klopp ……but atm I feel Theo is staring up a blind alley. And he will not improve imo. At AFC Theo will not progress anymore.

I much prefer Sturridge or Afobe instead of him.

Atm I prefer Campbell, Iwobi or Reine Adelaide in his place.

DW23 could not come back much quicker.

  46. allezkev says:

As Lee said, good player but another crock.
We’ve got enough of them already mate.

I’d rather look abroad or bring one our own youngsters through…

Malen, the Dutch youngster, looks promising.
    And Fortune, the French kid…

  47. Hell Raising Devil says:

I agree on that issue Kev. Just saw on the wiki that he has averaged just around 17 games in the last 4 seasons…..shades of TR07. So you are right. nononono for him.

on that note…..why doesnt AW give more time to Iwobi then??

  48. Wavy says:

Sturridge? Never. He would hog one of the Diaby dedicated sick bay beds! He’d play less often than Rosicky! What a waste of the hard pressed supporters turnstile money! Look again. I agree I’d sooner swallow my pride and buy back Afobe or give Akpom a whirl. But Sturridge no, he’s high maintainance on every level! What ever we paid for him we would not get even reasonable value for money!

    No, no not for me!

Cautionary tale. (Very short). Beware the men coming from the east!

If we thought we ripped off Citeh for Nasri, Adeybadboy, etc etc when the men from the peoples’ republic arrive with their trunks full of yen and offer £40m for Giroud watch Stan and his syrup take the cash and then buy himself more real estate in the US. Or any other of our players whom they offer Monopoly money for! Oscar? £57m? They’re having laugh! Except they’re not.

Men bearing wealth from the east was never a good story. Look how it all finished up! Just saying.

    Morning all.

  49. tsgh says:

It’s a shame the nigerian billionaires like goonie the blond Adonis have not been allowed to buy into the EPL. 😉

    Good morning all

  50. Hell Raising Devil says:

What a waste of talents. Diaby and Tomas. Both could have been greats for us but injuries saw to that.

that is life. A pity since both were skilful. And it seems that JW is going to go the same path.

  51. bradster says:

Maybe Jack can be that holding midfielder we need but not in the Coq mould but in the Cazorla role. I think he will get less 50/50 tackles, he can start the move from deep, pick a pass and pop up in and around the box like Cazorla does.

  52. allezkev says:

Coach, I can see Iwobi getting few more outings, off of the bench, this season…

I’m not sure amigo, but I have a feeling that Wengers patience with Theo Walcott, is coming to an end, and he could well be moved on, maybe as soon as next summer.

I’m sure that we could spend that £140k per week a lot more wisely and get a much better return elsewhere….

  53. allezkev says:

Yes Coach, you have a point…

Following the announcement that Arsenal are going to charge season tickets holders, an extra fee for using their final cup ticket in the Barcelona game, I wonder if that work in reverse?

That is, if Arsenal draw shit teams in the early rounds of the CL and FACup, that the club pay you a refund…?

Therefore my son is being charged an extra £16.11 if he uses his 7th cup ticket for the Barcelona game. A game he’d already paid for in advance, giving our greedy money-grabbing club his money up front, that they earn interest on…

How about a £20 refund for the Burnley game?

Our club is really morphing into a total bunch of bloodsucking cnuts…

  54. allezkev says:

What made me laugh was Wenger trying to justify not lowering ticket prices, following the new TV deal, because of the cost of new signings…

    Lmfao…

    You couldn’t make that shot up… ?

  55. rico says:

Started by Kroenke though, I bet…

The defence of ticket prices because of new signings is an absolute joke when it comes to Arsenal!

  56. Rick says:

    Afternoon Rico and the House
Just recovering from a very busy and good 8 days(more later)
Its been a good afternoon for the U21’s who have beaten Brighton 4-1 and go top of the league with games in hand of all below them.
Scorers were Nelson Bielik Mavididi and Bannacer.
Nelson also had 2 assists and haa great game.
    Wellbeck played 60mins

Kev even more encouraging , 8 of the team were English and 6 of those come from Hale end’
The oldest of the six was just 18 and 2 of them was 16 in Dec
I think Danny played up front with Mavididi.
By the way I hear the Cup game against Hull is on Friday 19th.(bbc Tv???)

Due to the number of matches played this season and the categories assigned to them, there will be an additional cost to your season ticket for the 2016/17 of £16.11. This additional cost will be added to your renewal price for next season.

How do I ensure my attendance for this fixture?

    Arsenal = Big Club???

    Or

    Arsenal = Money Grabbers???

You know Fagin didn’t live that far from Islington. He must have left them a few tips of how to nick a few more quid than the club actually deserves!
You’d think that after some of the games of purported football that have been dished up this year that, they would be paying us to attend not the other way round!
If I had enough cash I’d sue the club for false representation of being a football club and as a double whammy id take a second claim out against them under the misrepresentation of the Trades Description Act!
Then we’d see who was taking the piss!

    Morning all.
Pay the price and stop whining.
    Whinging poms.
    Weather is too cold.
    Beer is too warm.
    It never ends.
    Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
    Potter, I heard the smashing.
Seriously, that’s possibly the most ridiculously us decision the clubs ever made-the original one to raise the price, I mean.
Damn, they leave themselves open to criticism.

  61. allezkev says:

    Morning All…

It does make you wonder about the competence of those managing the club and those in the PR dept, when you think of how this fiasco over the ticket surcharge could have been so easily avoided.

Arsenal are not in desperate need of the few thousand it would have brought in, but the effect on the already strained relationship with the fans will not have been helped by all this at all.

What on earth did the management think the reaction would be, coming so soon on the teams worst run of this season?

You have to despair at their insensibility and crass stupidity…

  62. allezkev says:

Hey Scott, you should touch the icon on the keypad with the microphone and then start dictating your message…

The spellings are out of this world mate… ?

  63. allezkev says:

Rico, what kind of thigh injury, if the rumours are correct, keeps you out injured for three months?

Rosicky should just retire now as his body has given up it seems…
