Thanks Arsene but we know how to support our team

I think Arsene has gone on a little bit of a defensive….

It would seem the media comments about him lying to the fans and being economical with the truth have hit a nerve. We have been told that he didn’t know the extent of the injury to Danny Welbeck and that despite this strikers do not just fall from the sky during the transfer window and he didn’t think that what was available was value nor would they of added to our squad.

We can argue til we green in the face about who or what would of constituted good value or who would or would not of added quality to the squad but he does seem a little flustered by it all.

As has been pointed out there are a small proportion of fans who want multi million pound signings and those only and then then are the same sort of proportion who think no transfers are fine. I think the vast majority what good solid reliable players who would come into the squad give us added quality and added depth. In my mind you cannot tell me those players were not out there..?

As a few people have brought up, would two or three Ray Parlours not add to this squad…? would they have cost more than say fifteen to twenty million quid…? I don’t think so and I think it’s more frustrating that those kind of additions were not brought in.

We now have our boss telling the fans that we should support what we have and support the club…….. Rather patronizing if you ask me. We are all told we have never manager a team for half a day when he is questioned yet he is now telling us to stop moaning and support the Club.

Well Arsene I like many many tens of thousands of fans have supported The Arsenal long before you came along and will continue to do so long after you have departed so kindly don’t tell us how to support our club when you are so apt at telling us we know nothing about being managers..! How many games have you followed Arsenal as a fan..? I rest my case.

Tomorrow sees us playing that rugby lot from Oop Norf so hopefully we don’t suffer any injuries and get a most needed and vital win. Lets also hop OG doesn’t get on the score sheet again…. No not Ollie but own goal.

Have a good one.

    Totally agree wath.

We will support the team, it’s not them we are upset with. The transfer window is shut and we have what we have, it should be enough to take Stoke at the weekend.

    Who up top though?

Probably because the man has moulded all other aspects of the club he now feels it to be his calling to concentrate on how he wants the fans to behave. He is showing all the signs of an aging control freak.

Afternoon, well done keeping posts going when there is no news. Still feeling down that we didn’t get anyone, hard to raise enthusiasm.

I just wish a commentator would ask Wenger outright when he says no one around. ‘Would Morgan Schneiderlin not have added to Arsenal’s squad?’ A no risk buy who wanted to come (we were led to believe).

  4. potter says:

Whether he wanted to join or not is immaterial. Dick Law and his team worked 25 hours a day 8 days a week apparently so they must have seen more than just him.

    Good Afternoon Lovelies and Hunkies.

I agree with all you say Wath…..except that I would have wanted one Ray Parlour, one Bobby Pires and one Gilberto instead of three Ray Parlours.

I am not one for multi million pound players but I want two players for every position plus three squad players. We are still missing 2 very good players plus two squad players like Grimandi. Players who can fit in many positions and not grumble if they do not play.

The ridiculous thing is AW telling us Porkies. Anyone with Fifa games can tell you that many players can improve our team. Do not tell me that Gabi and Kos do not know of other players who are similiar to them in the Brazilian/Spanish/French leagues.

Personally when players like Kos and Per retire I would sign them for two years as scouts in their countries. I bet they will enjoy it.

Brilliant article I love it, this wenger is something else, we can support our team bu
t cannot support a man who finds it to buy a player yet he has a PhD in economics, buy players and leave us alone or better yet leave the club jurgen klopp or pep to come in!

  7. ant says:

There no balance in the man,be it team selection, transfers and targeting player who will realistically never leave major trophy’s winning teams and now the bs he telling as in press conference is getting way to much to believe. He wants us to be puppets, he forget we pay to support Arsenal.when he payed 8million a year to be the board puppet. The man to much Wenger out

  8. Wath says:

Dev, you being greedy wanting another Bobby Pires…..I’d settle for another Romford Pele and Gilberto any day of the week.

  9. Adam says:

Afternoon all. Scott. Honestly mate, I do feel sorry for him. Whether he lied or not I believe he has done great things in the past and is doing his best right now. What is happening, I think, is that football is changing and that the demise of FFP has accelerated that. It’s hard to pull great players out of the hat like he used to and he, like all of us, is getting older. With 3 massive spenders in the PL and a lot more in Europe, life looks difficult for Arsene and his way of doing things for the foreseeable future. I am quite pessimistic when I look forward.

    A Wenger:
“The maneger of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, the Frenchman explained that Anthony Martial (Manchester United) is not a forward, but a winger.

“He was followed since childhood, but we are talking about a player who is more a winger,” Wenger said in statements to the local press.

The Frenchman dismissed their hiring, as in his squad has multiple options for that position.

“He is an exceptional talent, but I think he plays in the same positions, Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxdale-Chamberlain or even Joel Campbell.”
My answer: Alexis is not a winger and play much better and their performances are much better in the middle, then a winger. Moreover, trying play him like a central forward is a mistake. He must play back the number 9.
AOX, is a winger but moves inwardly. Is not a a traditional winger.
JC, is not a choice for AW. Anyway, whenever you played was not a winger. He played together, for example, with Sanoko and not as a winger.Purposely not as a winger.
And TW? It’s not a center forward although AW have it placed. Does not yield this position. Due to its characteristics, can be a winger.
Marcial is a (real) winger and in my opinion, was one of my targets for this season

  11. Wath says:

Was it not rather blinkered to put all our eggs in the FFP basket though Adam..? we all knew it wouldn’t work properly and there would be loop holes but still doesn’t excuse the last of spending what we have you know that as well as I do.
His ideals are all well and good but reality is what it is..!

  12. Wath says:

I’m with you JM, we do not have a proper out and out winger and Ox who is the closest to one thinks he’s a central midfielder..!

  13. Wavy says:

I would too but, “they don’t fall from heaven, you know”! Outstanding, top, top players!
Well that’s the answer, send Gabriel on a mission to scour the firmament for players of quality and then they can, ‘come on down!’
What a load of tosh! It’s not like he hasn’t got a good command of the English language, even if it is his second lingo, ‘cohesion’ ‘efficient’ bollocks, load of……! He’d be better off if he just said nothing instead of ‘not lying’ through his teeth, constantly Imo, of course.

    Afternoon all.

Well done Wath, but you were helped by a manager who creates fiction and talks no sense!

  14. Ogban says:

I will keep my gun powder till end of season. If by then we have not made significant improvement over the last, then I will not only ask for his silver-haired head but his balls, coat(with or without that zipper) and all.??

  15. Simon Ngulube says:

Jack…that’s well said, this man has lost direction that’s it.

Lets not bit around the bush…now he wants to coach supporters or manage supporters on how to support or voice out their concerns…

Has he ever supported Arsenal as a supporter himself or he is doing it out of obligation because he has a job to do at the club. I don’t think he understands how a supporter feels because he has not supported one.

Being a manager of the team does not necessarily mean you have the team at heart …NO! It’s evident that Stan and Wenger are there for one thing and one thing alone…MONEY…we can’t be fooled by lies anymore.

If you work 24/7 and you can’t identify a player we having been looking for the past 3 years then you are incompetent and inefficient….hence move!

  16. allezkev says:

De Gea has signed a new 4 year contract with ManUre, on a reported £200k per week.

That’s almost up to the same level as Adam and Lee…

  17. Marshall says:

OG seems like he’s our incognito 12th man. I say he keep that up.

AW does it again. He’s a condescending French a§§ too. Telling the fans to stick to whatever he’s dishing out. He’s always right, what do I know.

According to him he’s the smart one, we are all (the fans) the dumb fellas who shed tears and keep on spending money on the club.

  18. Micko says:

Too right Wath, when I was running about in me shorts pretending to be Liam Brady Arsene was running about in his pretending to be a defender for Strasbourg !

  19. Rick says:

    Evening All,
During the last fortnight while Arsene has been hung drawn and quarted,
Jonker and Theiri have been written off as potential managers, I have been keeping tab on our youngsters.
The players who represented England at various levels all performed with credit, and Silvar Crowley and Zelalem were all voted MOM for their loan clubs.
The U18 played twice winning 4_2 at Brighton and 1-0 against West Ham.
Tonight the u21’s are away to Newcastle and as I write are leading 1-0 through a Iwobi goal.

I should add Theiri was on the bench in both the u18’s games.

  20. Rick says:

Mavididi scored the 2nd goal in a 2-1 win which puts them clear at the top.
They have won all 4 games with a G/D of+8
The next game of note is next Wednesday when the bU19’s are away ti Zagreb in the Uefa Youth League
I see you are going to the Stoke game Kev , I hope they put on a good show just for you mate.

  21. Wath says:

    Thanx Rick,

It seems it’s taken Andries a full year to get things how he wants them and now we starting to see what he brings to the club and the set up of the academy. I was told he was a good un and so it seems…!

Lets hope they keep it up.
