Subotic, Morata, Lacazette, Sidibe, Draxler all due to sign imminently…

Really…………….?

The headlines and players being bandied about gets more ludicrous by the day and so do the fee’s mentioned.

Arsenal to pay fifty million for this one and sixty five million for that one…. bla bla bla I suppose the headlines are mean’t to sell papers and attract attention but really we have this nonsense year in year out and since when did we ever ‘smash’ transfer records?

Yes we all know we want and need strengthening but the only stories for me that could hold any truth are the ones where the price is reasonable or where a player is about to be out of contract and we try to snap them up on the cheap. Throw in another player for around the thirty million mark and that would be our business done in my opinion.

Like it or not defend it or not we all know Arsenal penny pinch when it comes to transfers and haggling over fee’s…. I still believe players will be leaving us permanently but maybe just maybe we’ll buy in first before we let a few go.

The Subotic stories seem reasonable enough but is he any better than what we have? the Sidibe link also makes sense as he can play either right back or left back and is a good age but would he join to sit on the bench?

We’ve been linked with Draxler for at least twenty seasons, yes from his birth it seems and he’d of been a lot cheaper then to the fee being quoted now but he is an exciting player and would give us width and speed plus he scores a reasonable amount of goals as well but again the fee could be the stumbling block as it was when we were apparently quoted twenty million for him 2 seasons ago.

It’s a daily occurrence of being linked with ten players none of whom will join us but we at least get to wonder…..

Enjoy ya day.

Draxler is not quick and IMO is not what we need, another very good footballer who comes inside, we need to go back to the philosophy of pace and power otherwise more of tippy tappy shite.

Yep I agree Davey, Draxler another who loves to come inside but he’s pretty quick…!
I’d be way happier with an out and out winger but very few of those around and Arsene just doesnt seem interested in proper wingers.

Bob, media saying it’s agent fed stuff to get Monaco to sort the deal out pronto…!?!?

Frankly, I think it’s short sighted of Arsenal and the others, pulling out of the EFL Trophy, to me it’s a valuable opportunity for our youngsters, and they won’t get that kind of experience in the FAYC or Academy League… Stupidity imo…

St Wath, you have done a sterling job, it must be a nightmare writing posts whilst supping in the Hawley Arms…

    I am in awe… ?

    Actually I’m in South London
