Six definitely going & Robin hints at staying, unless one of the Elite come crawling……

The provisional International squads are being prepared for the Euro’s which take place next month, the opening fixture is on June 8th and it’s Poland v’s Greece.

So far, six of our players have been named and will be heading off to Poland/Ukraine:

Robin van Persie – Holland

Lukas Fabianski and Wojciech Szczesny – Poland

Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski – Germany

Laurent Koscielny – France

But how many more are we expecting to be called up to represent their country?

Andrey Arshavin – Russia

Tomas Rosicky – Czech Republic

Nik Bendtner – Denmark

Theo Walcott – England

I make that about it, Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines should keep Kieran Gibbs out, Bacary Sagna is injured and any other players who are full internationals, represent a country that haven’t qualified.

I make that ten players who have to carry on playing until nearly the end of June, some may have to play on beyond that date as the semi-finals are scheduled for the 28th June.

The Premier League season kicks off the second week in August usually and there is no reason to belive it will begin any later next season and should we fail to secure third place on Sunday we could very well have a Champions League qualifier to play straight after our opening league fixture.

That is assuming of course that Chelsea don’t win the Champions League Final, if they do, we know the outcome.

Not much rest for our players is it, Holland, Germany, England and France could all make the quarter finals and they are the sides that the bulk of our players represent.

Not good eh…

Juventus have been in the news recently, publicly declaring their desire to sign up a top quality striker this summer and yes, Robin van Persie was top of it. However, our captain has been quick to dismiss any intention of joining them, in fact he is reported to have  told close friends that it would take an ‘extraordinary’ offer from one of Europes Elite clubs to make him leave Arsenal.

I guess that means either Barcelona or Real Madrid…

Nah, he’s staying.

Talking of players talking to friends, Yann M’Vila has told his that he wants to join us regardless of what happens on Sunday!

Roll on Sunday in many ways, get the last game out of the way and then we will all know where we are heading.

It’s got to be a win too, we don’t want to be watching the Champions League final with fingers and toes crossed for a Bayern victory, in fact I don’t want to be watching the Champions League final at all…..

That’s it for today, have a good one….

So you guys still think M’vila is still signing then? do you not think Chambo will be called to the england squad ?

  2. Matty says:

Haha how could you forget our main future prospect 😛 i hope he does go that would be great and would do him some good!

As for M’vila its defo a strange one i mean it sound like a typical move from an agent, however it has been quoted on skysports that we would like to play for us! The press did the same with podolski one min he was coming to the Emirate next he was off to Lazio, who knows hey!

Pj o come across this post this morning defo worth a read if you want to know more about Usmanov and where he stands atm with the take over.

Contents fine. Very happy RvP seems to be staying. Only 10 of our players going seems to suggest that we don’t have enough quality players, despite not including Sagna and Diaby.

One seemingly irrelevant point however, if you are going to construct a headline using a word that means certain to eg definitely please spell it correctly! Things are finite and so they become defInIte as opposed to separate or indeed desperate.
Right spelling lesson over! You could of course use the spell checker on completion of your blog.

Sorry to criticisize but it is really annoying reading mis-spelt work.

  4. rico says:

As long as he would get some playing time Matty, otherwise he’s best resting ready for next season…

No point in him travelling just to sit on the bench….

Interesting article, wonder if AU has plans instore for this summer….

  5. Matty says:

Yea true Rico well guess will all know for sure next weds!

Well according to that article its going to be a bit of a mission for AU to purchase anymore shares and the writer seems to think that someone is purchasing fans shares for a higher cost. Guess the question now is who the mystery man if it isnt AU??

  6. rico says:

Cheeky toad wavy, i think you will find its correct!

By the way, its a blog, not a peice of work up for grading by my teacher 😉

  7. rico says:

Can’t think who would want to buy the shares, and certainly not at a higher price, unless its on behalf of AU…

is that when Roy names his squad?

  8. Matty says:

Defo well maybe Wavy can give you some spelling lessons and in return you can brush up on his charm techniques haha!!

Yep so the sun say, next weds is the big day for the england players!

Reg to share, maybe that a wise move from his behave if that what AU is doing! cant see the yank bringing any success to the club, just aint footy minded.

    Brunt out for Baggies
West Brom skipper wants to be ready if he gets Olympic call
    Last Updated: May 10, 2012 9:42am

    .
Chris Brunt: Has had his troublesome tonsils removed ahead of the Olympics
.West Brom skipper Chris Brunt is out of Sunday’s season finale with Arsenal at the Hawthorns after having his tonsils removed.

With the 10th-placed Baggies in mid-table safety, Brunt has had the procedure now as he is a potential candidate for the Great Britain Olympic squad and he wants to ensure he will be available if required by Stuart Pearce.

There are also doubts over two other key players in leading scorer Peter Odemwingie and winger Jerome Thomas for a match the third-placed Gunners need to win to secure a UEFA Champions League spot.

Albion No.2 Keith Downing confirmed: “We know Chris might be considered for the Great Britain team.

    Stop-start
“He has been stop-start with them (the tonsils) so the decision was taken to (remove them) now and it will give someone else the opportunity to play on Sunday.”

Odemwingie (leg) and Thomas (illness) are also battling to be fit to face Arsene Wenger’s side.

Downing added: “Peter is doing rehab to try and get back before the weekend while Jerome has been out for the past couple of days with a virus.”

Sunday’s game will be new England boss Roy Hodgson’s final match in charge of the Baggies and Downing is still waiting to find out whether he will remain part of Albion’s plans after Hodgson’s departure.

He said: “I’ve not spoken personally to anyone. We will review it this summer. I’m a realist.”

  10. Marinello says:

    Hi Rico,
    Trust you are well.
With regards whether Robin stays or goes, I think that it depends on many factors.
Apart from personal ones ie; family etc, what could be his last big money move that would set him and his family up for life, the Boards intentions etc, maybe Wenger’s future plans on retiring etc. If say Barcelona came calling, I am sure he would find it hard to turn down their offer, on the plus side he appears fairly loyal to the Club (if that is possible in this day and age for any player to show true loyalty), so I think it will come down to whether one of the big 2 European clubs make him a huge offer, if not I think he’ll stay, but maybe only sign a 2 year extension to his one year left.

  11. rico says:

Matty, i’d love to see AU breeze in and buy Stan out….

We’d soon get the ‘old wenger’ back then…

  12. Matty says:

Yeh Rico maybe you can send a letter to the board in request… just make sure you get Wavy to check your spelling lad! Thats a good boy 😛

  13. Lewis says:

I think only 10 heading off this summer isn’t too bad, without injusies it would be 3 more. At least the break will give them time to recover properly without the immediate stress of having to get back to full fitness asap and rushing things. Maybe we’ll even see a fit Diaby at the start of next season……….

  14. rico says:

Hi Lewis – ditto, in fact the more of the baggies who are missing the better 😉

Hi Marinello – i honestly can’t see him moving his family, they are far to settled here in London.

Get 3 points on Sunday and I’m sure that will be enough and then IG needs to start earning his money on signings…

  15. rico says:

That last bit caused me to chuckle Lewis 😉

Ha ha Lee, i haven’t see that stuff in anyones house for years, revolting drink….

  16. Matty says:

Are you actually haha??? oh my!! damn all this time i thought you was a bloke!! pass me the D hat haha!!

  17. Marinello says:

Rico, I hope you are right about RVP staying.

And you definitely spelt definitely correctly. Woy might have pronounced it defwinitely…..

  18. Scott From Oz says:

So Eden Hazard tells us he will definitely be wearing blue next season.
My 6 y.o. looks at me and says Hazards coming to Arsenal.
I reply with Chelsea or Citeh.
Sean says Hazards tricking everyone…..he’s talking about our away shirt!!
With the games being played, tell me this isn’t a possibility,I dare you.
    Morning all.

  19. rico says:

    What a slow old day…..

Who will watch the CL Final?

Just had a thought – after the Euros there is asmall matter of football in the Olympics, more players involved…

  20. rico says:

I wouldn’t go to Italy to play either Lewis, it’s all a bit dodgy…

Marinello – you mean cowwectly 😉

  21. Lewis says:

Probably watch it Rico, but will most definitely be Deutsch for the evening. Bugger had forgotten about the Olympics! If selected do players have to go?

  22. Scott From Oz says:

Rico, sometimes it takes a child to show us the obvious…..you never know!
    Thanks Marinello.

  23. Scott From Oz says:

It’s right Lee,or so my wife says.
You and her are the only two adults alive who watch Mary Poppins enough to know that lol!!!!!

  24. rico says:

I f we get 3rd on Sunday, i might watch it, especially as you know who could be 4th 😉

    Maybe we’d want a Chav win then…

Not sure re the Olympics, think Ramsey is hoping to play though…

Scott – i think Hoilett is more likely than hazard, if reports are true about M’Vila’s price being the problem, then can’t see us paying what we’d have to for hazard…

  25. Scott From Oz says:

Rico,I don’t believed the price is the issue with M’Villa,I think his off field issues will make Wenger think twice.

  26. Micko says:

Scott, we also got blue in our new home kit for next season, the odds are stacked in our favour.

  27. Marinello says:

Vidal Sassoon has died aged 82. Famous for the Mary Quant geometric cut. Too late now for Gervinho to have his barnet sorted out by the Hairdresser to the stars. Do you think that he may not possess a mirror in his house?

  28. rico says:

    Morning Micko 🙂

I read something earlier Scott, but tbh i think you are more likely to be right, i still have a feeling AW will try for Nzonzi, especially now that BB are relegated…

  29. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all,
Rico you spelled some thing wrong must be a spanking in order, i can help there. Reminds me when i was at junior school and i done something wrong the teacher said i was in for a caneing and told me to bow to the north i bowed down 3 times befor i got it right but i knew where the north was after that, but sadly only in that classroom. 🙂

  30. rico says:

Anyone got any pictures of next seasons away kit, hopefully the players won’t look like they are about to be involved in the 3.30 at Ascot….

  31. Micko says:

M’Villa, Vertonghen, Gourcuff, all players that were linked with us last summer, same old carry on.

  32. Marinello says:

Was it you Lee who said that Gervinho looks like Flipper the dolphin? That still makes me laugh.

  33. Thorny says:

    Hello.
Its a good point that if we had that sort of dosh for Mv we’d prob spend it on something else, eg Hazard etc. I just cant see AW breaking the record for this unless song was sure to leave.

  34. rico says:

    Hi Thorny

Apparently we have bid for M’Vila before so it’s not beyond belief that we are in for him, just don’t think any deal is as near as we are led to believe, same old agent talk….

  35. Lewis says:

Lee, we have lost 10 games and conceded 47 in the league this year so fucking the WB game is a distinct possibility. Got a feeling we’ll do it though.

  36. rico says:

Steve – he’s a strong one, he’s not going to be on the medical table very often…

Lewis, we are often better away from home in games like this…

  37. rico says:

If we lose at WB and the Totts and Geordies both win, we will be 5th…

Is that not enough to motivate this current crop???

  38. rico says:

You and me both Lewis, 90 mins of flat out football and passion, thats not too much to ask for is it??

  39. Lee says:

Lewis, 47 goals conceded, now that’s a fucking joke! We’ll need to halve that next season…..

  40. Scott From Oz says:

Lee,we can halve it by not playing at Old Trafford lol.
Rico, got hold of an Emu egg on the weekend, fresh picked.
They say its the equivalent of a dozen chook eggs, but a richer flavour.
Not that I will find out,Sean dropped it ten minutes after I got home!!!

  41. Micko says:

rico, I don’t believe the players will be stupid enough to believe 5th is like a trophy, that would be pushing it too far.

  42. Marinello says:

Good point Lee. 47 goals conceded will never win the EPL. Maybe Arsene believes that as long as we score more, like 150, we have a chance….
WBA will be a tough one, they will be pumped up for Woy and will want to go out on a win for him. We have to come out of the blocks and attack them from the first minute and show our intent.
Hope The Ox starts along with Theo.

  43. stevepalmer1 says:

We’ll win Micko but they will make a right meal of it.
I reckon there will be a few referee decisions before we seal it up, we are not a liked club so i am getting used to dodgy refs

  44. Micko says:

Hope so steve, be great if it was all over by half-time, don’t wanna be still pulling our hair out after 89 minutes.

  45. Marinello says:

I’ll take 1-2 against the Baggies. A few years ago, we wouldn’t even be feeling the slightest worry over this fixture. How times have changed eh.
I remember watching Jeff Astle play centre forward for them in the late 60’s. He was a bit of a character who liked to sing! Hope we will be singing after Woy’s last game in charge.

  46. stevepalmer1 says:

this will be the most expensive game these guys have ever played in, and theres our board saying it wouldn’t be a catastrophy if we didn’t qualify if they really believe that they shouldn’t be there

  47. Lewis says:

47 goals is a complete joke, is that a record for us in the prem? Here’s hoping its still 47 come sunday evening but with more than our current 71 scored!!!

  48. Micko says:

Marinello, I can only go as far back to Cyrille Regis, what a monster he was.
Didn’t Astle’s playing career play a part in his death, wasn’t it a brain injury, partly caused from headering so many balls, the balls are so much lighter these days, much heavier back then, don’t think Chamakh will have too many nightmares.

  49. rico says:

Scott – 😆 re the egg, what a shame though

Micko – if knowing that isn’t enough to wake our lot up, or get Wenger on his toes, nothing will – we need 90 mins of how we played in the second half against the totts…

The money factor should get Wenger prepared, I bet Stan has been on the phone…..

  50. rico says:

Pick your team time then 🙂

    Ches (no choice)

    Jenks Kos TV Gibbs

    Coq Song Rosicky

    Theo RvP Yossi

“Pat has been amazing for me over the past 16 years. When I first arrived at Arsenal, Pat was always there and taught me so much about this great club. “Thank you Pat, we’ll miss you and all of us wish you and your family the best of health and happiness for the future. Although, we’ll still see Pat a lot, as I know he’s planning to come to all the home matches as a supporter!”

The player, 28, also just a one year contract with the Gunners and leaders of Juventus would be willing to pay about 30 million to Arsenal to immediately release the striker.
However, Van Persie is not even considering changing the Arsenal by the newly-Italian champion. In your mind are only two other options: Barcelona or Real Madrid. Otherwise stay at Arsenal and could even renew the contract.

print..Pat Rice to leave post as Arsenal assistant manager
Arsenal assistant manager Pat Rice will leave the club at the end of the season, with Steve Bould confirmed as his replacement.

Rice, 63, has been Arsene Wenger’s right-hand man since 1996 and his departure will bring to an end a 48-year association with the club.

“I would like Pat to forgive me for the bad moments I’ve given him as well but he has been a constant loyal supporter”

    Wenger on Rice

“Pat is a true Arsenal legend and has committed almost his whole life to Arsenal,” said Wenger.

Bould steps up from Arsenal’s academy, where he has worked since 2001.

Bould impressed Wenger by leading the club’s youngsters to the FA Youth Cup in 2009 and to the Premier Academy League title in 2008 and 2009.

“His qualities are that he has the experience of the top-level game. He has managed here. He knows our football philosophy and therefore there will be a continuity,” said Wenger.

“We always want to give an advantage to people who know how we work, how we want to coach.”

    Pat Rice at Arsenal
•Joined Arsenal youth team in 1964
•Made more than 500 appearances for the club between 1966 and 1980
•Became part of Arsenal’s coaching staff in 1984
•As youth-team manager, won the FA Youth Cup in 1988 and 1994
•Became assistant manager to Arsene Wenger in 1996

As part of the reshuffle, reserve team coach Neil Banfield will be promoted to join Wenger and Bould in coaching the first team.

Rice’s departure will mark the end of an era at Arsenal.

He joined the club as a youth-team player in 1964 before turning professional two years later and went on to make more than 500 appearances for the Gunners, captaining the side to FA Cup victory in 1979.

Rice left Arsenal for a four-year spell with Watford in 1980 before returning to the club as a youth-team coach.

Working alongside Wenger, the Northern Irishman has helped guide the club to three Premier League titles and four FA Cups.

“His life was linked with Arsenal. Arsenal was privileged to have him as a player, as a captain, as a coach and personally I’m very grateful for his contribution to my period here,” said Wenger.

“I would like him to forgive me for the bad moments I’ve given him as well but he has been a constant loyal supporter and I’m just very grateful and privileged to have him at my side for such a long time.”

    Hello again you lot.
Went for a surf, bit windy and still cold.
Its the Great Dennis Bergkamps birthday. Dennis did more Arsenal than he realises. He is one of the finite reasons why RVP will be staying. The dutchman who won trophys will be encouraging our current number 10 to stay and win at Arsenal. Call me Naieve (is that the spelling?) but that is what RVP wants more than anything. A side built around him, a bit more money, and plenty of banners about not needing batman.

  67. Micko says:

Rico, 12.25, that team is hardly going to strike fear into the hearts of West Brom, it’s gonna come down to who wants it the most.

Lee, 12.59, my mate has had a 100 notes riding on it all season, hoping to have a good ole knee’s up with Mother Brown on sunday night.

  68. Lee says:

Micko, I’ve got a bit more than that on it, I bet my yid mate after they robbed us at shite hart lane…..got bundles of emails ready to be sent if we do it!!

  69. Thorny says:

Pat Rice does deserve credit for time put in but him and Wenger started looking like grandads in the dugout. Last of the summer wine – 1. When Wenger was banished to the stands last year PR looked lost.

  70. upgunners says:

In war let your great objective be victory not lengthy campaigns(ART OF WAR;Sun Tzu)perhaps Wenger should strategise for victory and stop the lengthy campaigns of his youth philosophy.

  71. Thorny says:

Miko….I’m a Cornish gunner. Perranporth in Cornwall. I own a surf shop on the beach. Its good having you lot on here as there a few gooners about but not lifetimers or members like me. Its a great trip to the emirates on the sleeper from here. Can or 3 of Cornish ale in the buffet car in my number 10 shirt. Sleep. Match. Pint in Islington. Home again.

  72. Lee says:

Wow Thorny, that’s a round trip and a half….me and my wife stay at a hotel in mawgan porth from time to time.

  73. Micko says:

Sounds great Thorny, I’m about half an hour away from Inch Stand in Kerry, surfers galore, moved over here a couple of years back, couldn’t give up my season ticket, still manage a few games each season, hopefully we won’t fall off the board sunday.

  74. Thorny says:

Mawgan porth is a great spot hey Lee. We camp there now and then. Its 20 mins up the coast from me. Yeah its a good trip to emirates…..really bad when we lose though.

  75. Thorny says:

Yeah Micko fingers crossed they’ve got some grip. I think they will. Surfed a bit in County Clare, good trip. Crab island, Doolin point etc. Ireland is going through the roof for big wave stuff….its F’ing hardcore Atlantic. Reckon Wenger should go for a surf…..although he’d probably get even more Philosophical and grow his hair guru style.

  76. Micko says:

Thorny, can’t be easy getting cut up by the manc’s on the way home from the emirates !!!

  77. Marinello says:

Micko, I had to nip out to the shops.
Yeh, Jeff Astle finished some games concussed. When I played,we used a leather T ball. T was the pattern on the ball and the inner tube piece that would connect to a pump (to pump up) would stick outside the ball, even though it was laced down. When it rained, it was like kicking or heading a lump of concrete. I was on Watfords books in 69 under Ken Furphy, and these balls certainly sorted the men out from the boys if you were a centre forward or centre half etc. I last kicked a modern ball in a vets match at 47, and it was like unreal, in terms of lightness and how you could bend it and whip it. Anyway, enough of all that.
Always a pleasure reading your comments Micko.
    Marinello.

  78. Micko says:

Glad you lived to tell the tale Marinello, you must have been half decent, I went for a trail at Watford when I was 14, never made it.

good stuff rico, yep I can see it from here. suns coming out. Seems 50 50 on M’v but doesnt look like will be anytime soon. Like you said, Wenger is keen on him and has been a while…..it was just that enormous price tag, doesnt sit right. Agent could be experiencing a giant backfire.

  82. Micko says:

Hi rico, were you told you were responding well to treatment this afternoon, that’s always a good sign that you might make it.

  85. rico says:

Never have the marshmallows though Thorny 😉

Micko, the consultant was very impressed with my recovery, I didn’t tell him that that was all down to me doing nothing but blogging for four weeks 😉

  86. rico says:

    Hi Adam,

The operation wasn’t that good, I couldn’t cook before 😉

Being serious, yes i can but can’t lift any heavy pans so I’m just careful…

  87. Marinello says:

    Hi Micko,
Like your goodself, a lot of good youngsters slip through the net and do not pursue other trials. I got mine after playing in a Schools cup final at Borehamwood. Mate of mine’s Dad was chairman of the Borehamwood Minors League and he must have had trials all over London and signed for Spurs, was transferred to Fulham in 74 for £100k and became a journeyman Pro, and Ending up at Barnet.

I ended up getting the boot from the Hornets, no apprenticeship offered after a season and did a spot of non league for a few teams. Did you play on Micko after the trial. I found that work always got in the way, for training Tuesday and Thursday nights.

I fancy a 1-2 result against Woys boys. They’ll be up for it big time, just hope we are.

  88. Marinello says:

Sorry Lee, it was Micko who had the trial, must have a spot of althzymers creeping in, too many heavy balls off me bonce.
Sorry Micko, read it and pretend to be Lee but not Woy….what a Bozo I am at times.

  89. Micko says:

Marinello, very similiar to you, only I was playing in a final at Hendon.
I carried on playing locally saturdays and sundays for 15 years, I don’t think there was ever any danger that Jimmy Hill would be analysing my game play on the box on a saturday night.

  90. Marinello says:

Thanks Rico, very kind of you. I felt a bit like Uncle Albert there, you know, going off into one…. During the war and all that.
Glad to hear that you are recuperating from the operation.
Reckon it has to be easier replying on a laptop rather than a BlackBerry…
Right I am off to cook some dinner now.
I am off this week from work, so will make the most of the time and cook something healthy….
    Catch you later everyone.

  91. Marinello says:

Micko, were you from Hendon? I lived there for 7 years. I think Tony Curry, ex England player was from round there or maybe Edgware.
Yeh, I know what you mean. Saying that, have you ever watched a Pro match and thought to yourself “how the f#*k did he make it as a Pro?” A lot was about being in the right place at the right time, does your face fit and oh yeh, hard work ethic and a fair bit of technique and skill and strength. Trouble was I never managed to get all of these at the same time. I had thinner legs than Twitchy Redknapp when he played!
Are you in Ireland now Micko?

Yann M’Vila: Arsene Wenger says the club have made no offer for the French midfielder

Arsene Wenger today poured cold water on reports the club were poised to sign France midfielder Yann M’Vila in a big-money move from Rennes.

Arsenal have already secured the £10million signing of Germany striker Lukas Podolski from Cologne, but the Gunners boss said he is not looking to strengthen further.

“It is not true,” the Gunners boss said. “There is not any interest at the moment.

“We have not been in touch with anybody, we have not made any offer to anybody and we are nowhere near to buying anybody at the moment.

“We are focused on our final game of the season.”

Arsenal could have Theo Walcott back from a hamstring problem at The Hawthorns, with the England winger set to rejoin training tomorrow.

France full-back Bacary Sagna is out for the season and of the European Championships following his broken leg suffered against Norwich.

“He will have surgery tonight. It is a straight broken fibula,” said Wenger.

“We expect him to be out for a few months, but let us see how surgery goes.”

  93. devilgunner says:

Good evening Guys and Chicks of the Gunners’ Faith.

    Hope you are all well.

Good to see you better Rico. But you will need a lot of therapy now and be careful to do it all in a good proper way. Healing will be slower because the older you are the slower it will be. But if it is done properly.

Any news mates. Was not on the computer for the whole of today and yesterday. Had too much to do on my hands.

  94. rico says:

AK – just below the comment box is two boxes, have either got a tick in??

If so, remove them and it should stop, Lee had the same problem earlier in the week….

  95. allezkev says:

Ah yeah, follow up comment box [ only one box btw ]…
All sorted, phewwwwww, cheers boss 🙂

  96. devilgunner says:

    hehe Rico.

Not exactly although you might be.

But even a forty year old will take slightly longer than a twenty year old…..especially where the bones, joints, tendons and ligaments are concerned. The suppleness goes from the body every passing year.

  97. devilgunner says:

Hiya Sir AK. How are you habib???

Dad is a bit under the weather. but nothing to worry about. just a normal cold.

  98. allezkev says:

    Still happening Rico….
Could it be coming from my phone????
Which has been off all day?!

  99. rico says:

    Phew, thank goodness AK 😛

He he to you devil, i am an oldie 🙂 but, i have been following the rules to the letter because if i didn’t, age plays a huge factor for recovery as you say…

And i got a gold star from the consultant… 😛

  100. allezkev says:

    Sounds wubberly….

So Lee, you’ve have the invasion of the e-mails then?
    Sorted now thankfully…

  101. allezkev says:

    Jamie Sanderson‏@YoungGunsBlog

Van Persie said he signed for #AFC using David Dein’s ‘lucky pen’, and that ‘Arsenal feeling was strong. I’ll always feel like a Gunner’.

  102. rico says:

Bloomin WP, useless – actually, I am going to try over the next six months to get rid of WP and set up an independant site – all depends on how much it costs etc, then hopefully the wordpress issues will be gone….

  103. allezkev says:

    Bring them both back Rico….

Pedro might be able to give you advice on that one Rico?!

Both ACLF & Arsenal Arsenal are still on WP, so who knows????

  104. devilgunner says:

Oui Sir AK. Spooky. A lot.

But not as much as spooky as the following…..

…ever since my day has been supporting AFC he has always stressed that whenever someone who he knows (of had been his friend and an AFC supporter) dies the following season AFC have won either the league or a European cup.

    That is spooky mate.

….you can bet on it that if we finish third, the spuds finish fourth and the chavs win the CL (I do not want them though) and therefore out of the CL, I will be cracking my sides with laughter.

  105. rico says:

I think i have pestered Pedro too much over the last eighteen months AK 😉

I’m hoping to catch up real soon with a guy who knows a bit about setting up websites, going to see what he thinks…

  106. devilgunner says:

bdw……………Dennis Bergkamp celebrates his 43rd birthday,

    Happy Birthday to DB10.

I know of another person who shares the same birthday. An amazing winger who can cross with both feet and still feels the joy of playing like a small kid.

  107. allezkev says:

    Sounds good Rico….
Maybe if a few more blogs left WP then they might have a look at themselves?
    Unlikely though….

Untold keep on knocking on the door.
    Good luck to them.

    The 12th…?

  108. Joaquim Moreira says:

    Chelsea won FA youth cup
Diaby is out for France 🙁
Does Jeff Astle play on sunday, Marinello?

  109. rico says:

    The 12th AK??

Agree, but its easy with WP to set a blog up, i couldn’t without them but the changes have been their downfall…

    Nighty devil….

  110. Micko says:

Marinello, my local team was Kingsbury Town FC, I was over in March for the Villa game and had a swift half in the Claddagh Ring that weekend, I’m sure you know it well.

  111. Marinello says:

Micko, I didn’t know Kingsbury that well. I was a Borehamwood lad, and lived in Hendon for a while and worked in Harrow on the Hill for a bit. I played against Kingsbury Town in the London Senior Cup (I think).
Have a good night Micko and everyone else. I’m off to stick some washing on.
    Catch you all later.
    Marinello

  112. rico says:

I think RvP is just like us fans AK, he wants to see a few really good signings this summer, we are long overdue….

  113. allezkev says:

    Agree Rico, totally.
Robin’s stance, as far as team recruitment is concerned, runs alongside what all us fans want.
Management/Board may not like it, but they are over a barrel and need to show ambition in order to retain our best player.

    Good for Robin.

    Good for us fans…

  114. rico says:

Morning Lee, and Happy Birthday to Mini Lee 🙂

That M’vila stuff is in the new post Lee 😉

  115. rico says:

Spot on AK, it’s been far too long since we had something to give us a bit more belief and a reason to look for ward to the next season.

Pod is a great start, just a couple more with his credentials would be perfect….

  116. allezkev says:

    Morning Lee.
    Happy Birthday to your son…

Could be Wenger waiting to see how Coquelin performs at the Hawthorns prehaps…

Why spend £17.7m when we could have the answer on our books already?

    Also a bit of horse-trading Lee i suspect…

Agent/Media, all the same to me…

  117. Lee says:

I’m just worried we’ll be linked to players of M’Vila’s pedigree and buy lidl-esque players!

  118. rico says:

Ha ha AK, no chance, i was off playing nettball or hockey or anything rather than the gg’s 😛

  119. rico says:

    Are you sure Kos???

‘Here, there’s no play-acting… when it’s tough, it’s tough. And it isn’t the worse for it. There’s no cheating, and that’s a good thing.’

  120. Lee says:

West Brom will be missing skipper Chris Brunt for their game with Arsenal on Sunday.

Brunt has had his tonsils removed now as he is a potential candidate for the Great Britain Olympic squad, and wants to play at London 2012, if required by Stuart Pearce.

Albion assistant manager Keith Downing confirmed: “We know Chris might be considered for the Great Britain team.

“He has been stop-start with them (the tonsils) so the decision was taken to (remove them) now and it will give someone else the opportunity to play on Sunday.”

The Baggies also have doubts over leading scorer Peter Odemwingie and winger Jerome Thomas for a match the Gunners need to win to secure a Champions League spot.

Downing said: “Peter is doing rehab to try and get back before the weekend while Jerome has been out for the past couple of days with a virus.”

Squad: Foster, Daniels, Fulop, Jones, Olsson, McAuley, Dawson, Ridgewell, Shorey, Mulumbu, Scharner, Andrews, Thomas, Dorrans, Tchoyi, Cox, Fortune, Long, Odemwingie, Hurst, Roofe, Berahino, Morrison.

  121. rico says:

    I wonder why AK 😉

Just going to spell check the new post heading 😉

    Then it will be up…

Lee – can you re-post that in a mo please…

  122. Lee says:

A woman has been admitted to hospital with a hoover nozzle wedged in her vagina. Although she’s in Intensive Care, doctors say she’s picking up nicely!
