Saturday night’s have just got better..

Morning all.

Big Tony, aka Mr Arsenal is one of the Strictly Come Dancing contestants this autumn/winter. I can’t wait to see him strutting his stuff on the dance floor. If nothing else, he’ll be entertaining I’m sure. This video has appeared on Twitter again.

Good luck to the big guy, and his partner who’ll have one heck of a job on her hands. Perhaps he’ll surprise us all.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be on his way back to the Premier League just seven months after leaving it. Chelsea are waiting to see if Barcelona will sell him and if they do and he scores goals, the media will have a field day. Let them, Arsenal did what was right for the club and it’s future. That future is young and hungry players who want to learn and bring success to Arsenal, not players who simply want to have a run around for 95 minutes on a match day.

Pablo Mari is on his way to Monza. A loan deal with an option to buy is the deal according to Fabrizio Romano and according to other reports on NN, Hector Bellerin and his agents are hoping to get the player’s contract terminated so he can move on too. There’s no news floating around about AMN, Reiss Nelson or Nicolas Pepe. Or Alex Runasson for that matter.

Sambi Lokonga is linked to a permanent move to Italy with AC Milan. Poppycock I say as Mikel Arteta will need need him this season, especially if another midfielder doesn’t arrive at the club before the transfer window shuts. Just because he didn’t feature much during the second half of last season, it doesn’t mean he’s leaving. He’s young, Arsenal’s future and I’m sure Mikel Arteta will play him more when it’s right for the player and the team. As said before, there’s a lot of fixtures to get through this season so Mikel Arteta will need every player he has in the squad.

There’s not a lot of news around relating to Arsenal so I’ll leave it there but Sky Sports are anticipating a hectic three weeks of transfer deals in the Premier League. Thankfully, Arsenal have got most of their business done but there’s always room for more. Two more…

See you in the comments.

Good morning Rico, from yesterday, I can see your point about William but in hindsight would we have done better to play Nelson on the wing instead?

Tony Adams must be skint if he has the need to earn a crust by prancing around on what I consider to be the trashiest show on tv. His appearance on the show will make no difference to my Saturday night entertainment.

  2. Potter says:

If Tony finishes his routine with one arm held aloft Travolta style he will be fine. Not that I will be watching it or anyone going into the jungle, an island or anywhere else. If it doesn’t have a ball in it , I don’t watch it.
As for transfers I think most of us have ideas but whether they are the same as Arteta’s and whether his choices are available is something else . We have to wait and see.

Can any red members check and see if the Leicester match is sold out because if not that’s why the exchange is not working.

Morning Cicero, good question but if we look at Nelson’s history, it wasn’t until the second part of last season that he really started doing well on loan. It’s similar to Martinelli really, I know I kept moaning about him not playing but Arteta knows these players capabilities, better than me so there was a reason he wasn’t playing. There’s probably a reason Nelson wasn’t considered ready either. Had he played and played badly, imagine the stick he’d have got.

  4. Potter says:

Holding to Bournemouth and Runnarson to a mystery Turkish club have appeared this morning .
I can only wish Rob the very best, he has never given any less for us and deserves the chance to play and the arrival of Saliba has pushed him further back on the list.

  5. rico says:

I hope he doesn’t drop his partner Potter. Lol

I think we all have our own ideas re everything related to the club. Transfers, team selection, tactics, subs etc etc but let’s face it, if we were that good at doing the job, we wouldn’t be here on HH. 😂

  6. Pete the Thirst says:

Wasn’t it just a few seasons back Barcelona were after Bellerin for £50 million? Just shows that there are virtually all clubs outside the Premier League are broke or shaking the magic money tree.

@Potter Leicester definitely sold out. The .com website as usual is a bit of a mess.

  7. rico says:

Agree Pete, European clubs are certainly in the driving seat when it comes to selling players. Mind you, Barcelona don’t seem to be struggling to spend money. What a mess they’re in.

  8. Dave28 says:

I wonder if Auba goes to Chelsea he will continue to miss training sessions just so he can get more trashy tattoos or furry dice for his cars etc….

  9. Obi says:

Potter @ 10:05, my sentiments exactly, “if it doesn’t have a ball in it, I don’t watch it”. Football, NFL, Baseball, Basketball, whatever has a ball or running I am watching.

European clubs are so broke it is not funny. If strict financial rules are applied many will fold. According ESPN, if Barcelona are unable to register Kesse and Christiansen by Saturday, they will be free to sign with any other team on free transfer because they came to Barcelona free. As far as their other transfers are concerned, they need to raise additional revenue and are negotiating to sell additional 24% stake in video rights; this is after the suspected video rights deal that brought them 600m this summer.

  10. Obi says:

It’s obvious but worth repeating, the thing about sports is that not all moves/ transactions work out. William moved looked good that the time, even Chelsea was trying to keep him but on a year by year renewal. It could’ve worked, but it didn’t.

On Auba, it will work at Chelsea, remember Tuchel allowed him to get away with a lot when they were at Dortmund. And by Tuchel accounts they keep in contact.

  11. Potter says:

But if he gets special treatment the rest of the squad will want the same or discontent will breed. The difference is that he was the main man at Dortmund whereas at the bridge he will be one of a few

  12. Cicero says:

It seems that Aubameyang would rather stay at Barcelona than move back to the Premiership with Chelsea.

  13. rico says:

Morning Cicero, I’m not surprised. Life in the Spanish league seems a lot easier, nicer weather, cheaper living… what’s to to prefer?
