Sanchez, Schneiderlin and Grenier to sign, That will do for starters

Morning All,

Well surprise surprise the stories rumours and gossip kicks into overdrive with a tweet from a usually reliable source in France saying Arsenal hope to tie up the signings of Alexis Sanchez and Morgan Schneiderlin.

If I am honest both are exactly the type of players we need and would for me fit in perfectly. Schneiderlin has premier league experience and is physical and technical which from a physical side is what our midfield has lacked for a few years now.

I am amazed that Southampton would be prepared to let yet another player leave but as they say money talks but are we the kind of club to make money talk despite the untold tens of millions in the bank.

Sanchez for me is different class, How and why Barca would be prepared to sell him is beyond daft in my eyes the bloke has everything, he scores, he creates and he puts in a hell of a shift, we obviously don’t want him taking penalties but am sure we can resolve that little problem. Lets hope that for a change he’s a player that wants to play for a team to play and win and isn’t blinded by promises of mega riches to plant his backside on the bench of some oil rich club.

This morning certain papers are saying we are back in for Clement Grenier, Wenger has been watching his progress and return from injury and will launch a bid. Is he not far different from Cesc…. Why turn down Cesc by saying we full in the midfield are and then go and try to buy Grenier..? Is it because he’s a third of the price of Cesc or does he see Grenier as more of a Pires type player. This begs the question that are we then definitely not interested in Griezmann?

All gossip until we see a player in the Arsenal shirt on the pitch but it seems things are about to get lively as more and more teams and players get knocked out of the World Cup.

Talking of which is seems that the English players are also on the move, Would you of paid nearly 30 million for Shaw, would you pay 25 million for Lallana…? Are these prices inflated due to the home grown rules or is it just a matter of teams trying to keep an English identity with a core of English players in their squad..?

When you look at a player like James Rodriguez of Colombia how is it our scouts are missing players with his talent? we used to pick up gems like him and yet lately those purchases have all but dried up. It’s great to see talented players like this at the World Cup yet supposedly already he has indicated he’d prefer to join Real Madrid over Barca…? Least he knows already where he wants to be, am sure Monaco are chuffed to hear that.

If the Arsenal transfer machine is about to kick into gear lets hope we can sign Sanchez and Schneiderlin quickly and get the players settled into the club as quickly as possible. We desperately need the added quality for us to step up a level but we also don’t need the last day buys in the transfer window where the players are then only settled into the squad come Christmas time.

That’s all for today, Have a good one.

    Morning All…..

Has Micko got his shirt of Scott yet…?

That was some goal from Rodriguez last night, for me even better than Cahills purely with the technique and the fact he created the chance with the chest control and set up for the volley…. Stunning..!

Shame Chile couldn’t take a decent penalty but then again least now our new striker can have a decent rest and holiday to recoup.

  2. Wath says:

My pure inventions…! Really, Don’t you read the papers then Angel…..? Perhaps you’ll see they’re the papers inventions if they are or not we’ll find out shortly won’t we…!

Maybe call Arsene and ask him if he is sick of the newspaper stories..!

  3. chrom. says:

Sanchez would be mega!!!throw it a cheap remy, schneiderlin, aurier, lovren,a goalie and we wud be in a great position with campbell coming back this summer.I don’t think we need a grenier though

  4. Wath says:

Chrom, Am with you if we did manage to get Sanchez add Remy to him and you’re looking a a very pacy forward line with Campbell in the equation as well.

I am not sure Aurier is the answer though, I thought his defending was pretty average but yes he’s good going forward, first and foremost I want my full backs to be able to defend.

  5. Bezzer says:

Monaco paid Porto €45 million for James Rodriguez last summer which is a huge amount of money, having said that he had a great season at Monaco last year and an even better World Cup.

  6. gunnerpete says:

Wath you have it spot on……..I was never a big fan of Sagna because his defending was no better than average until he played CB ! Aurier is very similar but he is the best crosser Ive seen in many years. If we ( Gunners ) had a choice of buys I would suspect that having got rid of 11 deadwood from the staff and hopefully a few of the long term loanies will go too, then a star like Sanchez plus Schneiderlin, Aurier and Gernier would be perfect to add to our already brilliant squad. England and AFC missed Thoe and OX more than anyone has said and they will be magic next year. I also expect Santi to go along with Arteta. BUT Arsene must start buying some real top young UK talent to add to our brilliant group because it is essential for the fans to find another Ramsey etc.,

  7. Wath says:

This is Bezzer that kind of money for Monaco with their oil rich owners is nothing….. Be interesting to see if he now pushes for a move to one of the big Spanish two….!

  8. Wath says:

Gunnerpete, Easier said than done mate finding and bringing in good English talent though….. If they are beyond puberty it seems your looking at 15million plus…! We need to get that Academy of ours back on track hopefully with the new Dutch fella coming in things will change and for the better.

I’d like Debuchy at RB or Janmaat from Feyernoord…! Solid defensively and decent going forward, that’s good enough for me.

Also agree, Very little said on the negative effect loosing Theo and Ox had on England but being “Arsenal” selfish am glad both didn’t go.

  9. santy says:

If not Aurier who do ya think is the most likely replacement for Sagna ?? There’s talk of Debuchy too but i’m not too sure of him either.

  10. Wath says:

Santy, As said I quite like Debuchy, bit of a hot head but I think definitely more solid defensively than Sagna. I also like Janmaat the dutch right back and also only 24 and very reliable and solid.

I still think we need to give Jenks a chance though, I know many disagree but I just think the more he plays the better he’ll get. A risk maybe but we won’t know til he gets an extended run in the side.

  11. Scott From Oz says:

Wath, Micko sourced some from DNA who got them from a “reputable” supplier in Macau.
    Morning all.
Let’s hope we stop talking about these players and lock them in.

  12. Wath says:

    Evening Scott,

Am so pleased Micko is sorted I could tell he was very depressed regarding the shirt situation and your reluctance to help out… 😉

What we seem to forget Scott, is that it’s not just the two clubs that need to agree on a deal, firstly its the fee and are a club willing to sell, then does the player want to leave and does he actually want to join us… At the same time you then have the selling club thinking well if we are going to sell lets rock the boat and let it slip we willing to sell player “A” and hopefully one of the oil rich clubs will come in for him and offer way more than Arsenal…. Vicious circle…! It’s why I believe it seems things are quiet yet in fact we’re busy behind the scenes…….. Well i hope so otherwise Sep 2nd am slitting my wrists…!

  13. Scott From Oz says:

Wath, players agents and fathers have destroyed honest, open negotiations.
    It’s a dirty game now.

  14. Angel says:

Wenger will buy a cheap right back that is less than 8 million, dont forget that Wenger rate Bellerin highly, and he might fast track him into the first team. He has plenty of wing options (Walcott, Joel Campbell, OX, Podolski, Gnabry), so forget Griezmann. He will buy another direct striker to suit his 4-2-3-1 formation therefore forget Remy and Sanchez both are not direct and they wont be able to hold the lines for mid and wide players to run in. Sanchez is better as a wide man, but will Wenger want to disrupt Gnabry’s growth? He wont buy Grenier because Zelalem is a pure talent coming up, Wenger will want to give him more playing time. People keep talking about a DM when Arteta, Flamini and Diaby are still in the team. I dont see a DM coming. Wenger is not going to buy a striker that will bench Giroud therefore expect a cheap strikers. People should understand Wenger by now. We wont see another Ozil this summer.

  15. Wath says:

Sanchez isn’t direct… Well I totally disagree with you Angel but then again that’s what this site is all about, being able to have an opinion and to disagree.

All those young players you mention may or may not make it… potential is one thing… producing entirely another.

Arteta is not as slow as a cart horse and getting older and Flamini not far behind him, both for me great squad players now and a proper physical midfielder we’re still crying out for. As for throwing in DIaby that’s like winning the lottery if we get more than 10 games out of him, can’t be relied upon at all, time to move on from that one surely.

  16. Wath says:

Scott, spot on mate and very few players have the integrity to see past the cash. It’s difficult with the agents constantly in their ear yes but at what point do you look at yourself and say well I can earn great money playing for team “A” and play regular football with a chance to win things or I can join team “B” earn ridiculous amounts of cash but will sit on the bench…! Very hard to turn down the cash in this day and age but bottom line is surely they footballers who want to play rather than sit and play second fiddle on the bench for the oil barons..? Again the hangers on have such a affect on many players.

  17. Scott From Oz says:

Angel, 12 months ago you’d have said we will never get a player like Ozil, so sorry if I question you.
We never knw what Wenger is thinking, do we Wath?
That’s part of the joy of being a Gooner.

  18. Scott From Oz says:

Wath, I am signed up as Sean’s manager and agent for life hahahahaha
Between you and me……should have seen the volley he nailed the other day.
Wasn’t struck as well as my penalty least week, but he’s only young 🙂

  19. Wath says:

If reports are to be believed your penalty was spotted by NASA the other day so lets hope Sean merely played his volley 😉

I thought we were sharing those management/agent responsibilities…?

  20. Scott From Oz says:

You need the GG to ease the suffering lol.
Speaking of suffering…some little grub cleaned me up late and from behind today…I reckon I’ve gt a few cracked ribs!
    Thank goodness for alcohol!

  21. Wath says:

I do laugh at these stories that us and that shower of shit down the road are fighting over Remy…. The simple fact is “IF” we want him he’ll come to us… If we don’t want him he will have to settle for second best and join them…!

  22. Wath says:

Holy shit…. looking at that split your Mr Greedy not just Mr 50%….

The older you get you start to imagine injuries Scott lol

    Just ask Kev….!

  23. rogerbij says:

Hi Wath, I see the quality of the posts is on the rise 😉
Just to chip in, and without veering into dreamland too much, I would be a very happy boy with: Sanchez, Schneiderlin, Remy, Aurier/Debuchy, keeper.

In fact I would start believing in Santa again. And when I pull out my trusty casio calculator, all safe in its pocket protector, and punch in the fundamentals, all of this seems possible for 65-70m. Add Campbell into the mix and Diaby like a new signing 😉 And noone can stop us! mwhaha!

  24. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to all fellow Gooners in residence. I gather that The Lady of the House is away at the seaside.

Wath – Are you scribe of the day? Seeing Rico is away on holiday, has it rained yet.

  25. Canadian Gooner says:

Scott – To be accurate and politically correct you should add WAGS and mothers to your list. There was a player who’s mother was his agent, qualified and registered with FIFA.

  26. Wath says:

Roger, Rico will return and see that comment of yours….

I merely write a load of drivel mate and regurgitate the crap that’s in the papers…! Micko always says I write a load of crap…!

Lets be honest we can spend 100 million with our eyes closed and still have 50million left in the bank.

For me it’s all about the intent and ambition.

Morning CG, you can guarantee where ever Rico is it’s absolutely lashing down with rain…!

  27. goonster says:

WATH do you really believe barfa ll sell sanchez let alone we beating off everyone to get him? I mean this is arsenal! We are shit when it comes to transfers. Plus why would sanchez choose us when he could actually triple his salary by going to an oil rich club. Never gonna happen. Not in a million years. Morgan yes but sanchez no chance. Morning HH.

  28. Canadian Gooner says:

Angel – Regarding Arsenal buying a new DM; Arteta and Flamoney are nearing the end of their careers and are loosing pace and will be more prone to injury. As for Diaby, he is great if you can keep him off the treatment table, but that’s about as easy as selling evening dresses at a nudist colony. We can’t wait till all three breakdown before replacing them.

  29. Wath says:

Rog, if we got those players you mentioned i’d also be a rather happy chappy….! Can I throw in Di Maria as well just for fun……. Or would that be for “delusional” purposes…!

  30. Wath says:

Stan, Yes for what ever reasons it seems Barca are willing to sell…..! I think they mental if they sell him but hey if they are willing then we need to get our arses into gear and be the ones getting him signed up.

  31. Wath says:

Stan, from what I hear Sanchez wants to play football, he son’t wanna sit and watch…. he wanted to leave Barca last year upset he wasn’t getting enough game time… No idea how much truth in that but seems feasible when they play him on the right and not through the middle where he used to play for Udinese…!

  32. goonster says:

I heard he doesn’t get on well with messi. Ok let’s agree he is on sale and barfa are willing to sell him. Why ll he even consider us? We can’t triple his salary or guarantee him a career laden with trophies. Come now WATH get off the GG 😀

  33. Canadian Gooner says:

Stan – Apparently Sanchez and FC Farcelona’s ‘Golden Boy’ Lionel Messi don’t get along too well. So, with that and a new coach wanting to put his stamp on the club, Sanchez to Arsenal might just happen.

  34. goonster says:

CG not when the chavs manure Monaco of this world are involved. Come on now. This is a genuine world class player. I mean this is Alexis fucking sanchez. Nah. It’s never gonna happen. I won’t get burned this time. Mata seared me really good.

  35. rogerbij says:

Sure Wath, you can add Di Maria – he’s obviously quality, but he needs to learn to score more goals . Thats why Griezmann is popular – he hit 16 goals in la liga last season to 4 for Di Maria. But dont get me wrong, Di Maria is awesome for assists and causing general mayhem! I fear though that we are now veering into wonderland…

  36. goonster says:

CG if sanchez comes to arsenal. I ll actually take any ugly picture. Which is impossible cause am a blonde Adonis 😀

  37. Canadian Gooner says:

Scott – Your whining about agents and fathers ruining the game, yet you and your co-conspirator are planning on taking 60% of Sean’s professional earnings. Talk about exploitation.

  38. goonster says:

Where us lee…he’s always insightful and knowledgeable. He ll back me up on this one. Sanchez to arsenal is like Gambon to wenger. They never mix.

  39. Canadian Gooner says:

Roger – Di Maria could/would score more goals if his prime directive from management wasn’t to pass to ball to the teary eyed CR7 to score.

  40. Canadian Gooner says:

Ah Stan – out of the mouths of babes (famous last words). Until the transfer window closes at midnight of the last day, I shall continue to dream.

  41. rogerbij says:

Hey CG, yeah probably if he had more shots, but dont get carried away. Stats say he scored 4 from 63 shots (~6%) – pretty poor ratio, actually the worst I can think of.

  42. Hell Raising Devil says:

2nd best you say Wath????? 😆 you got to be joking.

they are not even 6th best.

    Good Afternoon lollipops and sweeties.

  43. Wath says:

Stan, Your Mata ordeal has totally blinded you….!

Not all players are totally cash driven and we won’t need to treble his wages, he”l get a pretty penny if he signs for us… Wait and see 😉

Di Maria and Alice in Wonderland go well together Rog, I can but hope….

  44. Tai Emeka Obasi says:

If one believed the papers, Arsenal would have signed 100 players already. My style? Fingers crossed until I see announcement on Arsenal.com.

While at it, I don’t see Wenger buying Sanchez and Remy. That’ll mean Giroud, Sanchez, Remy, Campbell, Sanogo…

    Not Wenger!

  45. goonster says:

Hahahhahahahaha listen to yourself WATH…not all players are what?? That’s comedy. Yes they are. Bac sagna left for a fat pay check. So did van herpes sami nashit adethewhore and the rest of them. The name of the game is money WATH. Stop dreaming. It’s never gonna happen. End of.

  46. Wath says:

Stan your soooooooooooooo cynical…. Bac went cos he needs a new challenge 😉

Give him some credit, he underpaid at Arsenal lol

  47. goonster says:

Tai you re a man after my heart. You know le scrooge. You know him very well. WATH seems to have caught a bug or something. Can’t believe he ll believe such dross.

  48. Tai Emeka Obasi says:

Hmmm…Wath, Wenger rates Sanogo highly, got him on a free and determined to prove to the world he was right. He’d want to develop Sanogo personally…personally blve Le Prof will pass Remy by just for Sanogo’s sake.

  49. goonster says:

Sanogo is 3 years away from being in adethewhore’s class let alone world class. We need better.

  50. Wath says:

I’m off for a bit need to go drink some more, Stan drives me to drink… Anyone stuck in moderation while I am away sorry but will let you out when I get back lol….

No faith Stan that’s your problem and your blinded by the cash you wish you were earning as a player….! Speak to Scott he may give you 10% of his agent fees lol

  51. goonster says:

I don’t call that shrewd tai. I think he’s just arrogant in a very annoying way. He’s the kinda kid you want to bitch slap but can’t cause he’s so fragile. Grrrr THAT Man Irks me.

  52. Angel says:

Gooners are the most believing and trusting fans in the whole world. Dont forget Kallistrom in January after several rumors.Wenger wont change overnight just because he had a nice time at Brazilan beaches.

  53. goonster says:

Later WATH have a drink for me too. Stuck at home with brianna. Look at what I ve become. Adam warned me but I didn’t listen now my life as I know it is over. Am now a father. God help me.

  54. Canadian Gooner says:

Great talking to you all today, but I need to catch a few hours sleep before Judas van Pursestrings leads the Netherlands out onto the field. I shall arise as a Mexican for the morning and a Costa Rican for the afternoon.

Have a great day fellow Gooners. Keep The Faith!

  55. Hell Raising Devil says:

They cant be 2nd best surely. you are mistaken mate.

    1st Arsenal FC
2nd Arsenal Ladies (actually they should be 1st atm)
    3rd Arsenal under 21
    4th Arsenal under 19
    5th Arsenal under 17
    6th Arsenal young Girls
    7th Arsenal under 8
    8th Swampy spuddies

    There you are

  56. Canadian Gooner says:

Stan – My beef is with Judas, not your whole nation. Unfortunately, they are both closely linked in this situation. I already restrained some of my remarks knowing you were there. Gooner first.

    Off now.

  57. Angel says:

Canadian Gooner, am a Gooner for ever but I have been left dejected after the closure of every transfer market for the past 5 years. Enjoy your sleep and wake up a nigerian tmorrow. Thank you

  58. goonster says:

CG you old goat 😀 go ahead spill your guts. Let me know how you really feel about my country. Go ahead. Be a pal. Spill it. It’s always nice to hear about other people’s impression about your country.

  59. Scott From Oz says:

CG, I’m only in it for the lad, and not personal gain at all 🙂 🙂
Off for a sleep and up soon to watch Stans mob get a whooping 🙂

  60. Micko says:

    Burrito’s Stan !!!

British players have always been over-priced.
Rio to united for 30 mill in 2002 stands out, lots of league, fa cup, league cup and CL medals along the way, good business for them, lots of other disasters as well.
Wath, your posts are about as subtle as a broken leg, don’t let anyone tell ya anything less.

  61. Wath says:

Knew I could rely on you for a bit of support Micko… 😉 You know I don’t do subtle mate.

Rog, I have had word from the boss lady that your comment has been seen, noted and your due a slap on her return lol

Coffee grouts do it for me….

Actually that sounds like my daily shift out of Kings Cross… 😀

  63. Wath says:

I knew you were coming into money Kev, Lee told me you’d let him a few bob to buy his yacht…!

As for the tall dark stranger that must have been that yank bird the other week 😉

  64. BrainwashedKev says:

I did read that there’s been a serious disturbance in a pub, down in the West Country…

  66. BrainwashedKev says:

Yes, it was quite funny the way I convinced Lee that that P&O ferry was my yacht… 😛

A very solid post Wath; I enjoyed reading that… but as Micko said it is not subtle;)
I see you didn’t go to the samew journalism school as our lady rico… 😀

Bezzer good point re James…; people forget how much money AS Monaco spent last summer on Falcao, Abidal (salary), Kondogbia as well as a several free transfers and the odd £5m signings like Syg’s Toulalon.
    Grenier is another player I do not want to see at AFC.. another elegant player with little end products. We need big game players;

Get me Medel the pitbull, Morgan Schnerderlein,Víctor Sánchez from Espanyol as Pelle’ as bought the octupus and Ginter from the black forest…

    Afternoon/evening all…

  75. tsgh says:

Goonster, why was my boy Blind so weak leading up to the goal?

Is he too blond for the heat in South America? 🙂

  76. tsgh says:

The diving gets better and better the more you re-watch it…
… I bet he can retire from football and lead Netherlands to an Olympic medal…

  77. goonster says:

Ginge the European teams are struggling due to the heat and humidity. Am so glad we progressed today. Hopefully Germany and Greece will too. We can’t allow an all south American final. It won’t be good for the game. An all European final I won’t mind though 😀

  78. Scott From Oz says:

    Bad loser?
Stan, I lost nothing….I’m not Mexican.
Football is the loser every time that prick plays.

  79. Scott From Oz says:

    Hahaha Ginge….
Damn that rat faced bald headed prick gives me the shits!
I truly wish he was rubbed out of the game.
Put him and Suarez on an island somewhere and be done with it.

  80. tsgh says:

typical European you are Goonie… 😉

I want Holland to do well just because no one rated them before they beat Espana…

But an all European final… you taking the piss 😛

Justice should have been Ghana vs Australia in final… 😛

The Old Original Gold Coast vs the new Gold Coast… 🙂

  81. Scott From Oz says:

Stan, I’d honestly rather lose with class than win the way your guys do.
It should be about the game, not the cheats.
    Costa Rica or Greece guys?

  82. goonster says:

Hahahahah I just pissed on myself now. ..ghana and Australia? What are we supposed to be watching the common wealth games. Hahahahahahah

  83. tsgh says:

Scott, about from his diving… if I knew Ox I would tell him to study ‘the faces’ ‘ game inside out…

Do you see how he only takes on opponents where it really matters re. in and around the penalty box…

  84. tsgh says:

Costa Rica for me Stan… I want to see more of JC..

    The NWo in football…

Goonie, the common wealth games indeed. 😀 😀 lmfao…

where is Dg your countryman by the way?

  85. Scott From Oz says:

Yes Ginge….he goes out with one thought…win a penalty.
He is such a cynical, devious scumbag though, I don’t want any Arsenal player copying him.

  86. agirlagunner says:

Typical Robben. Cometh the hour. Cometh the… diver.

Why the refs let themselves be conned by that piece of scum is beyond me. He does it again, again, and ever again. You would think they would be more wary of his antics…

Good write from the Deputy Sheriff! 😉 rico, enjoy your hols!

Hello, all! Come on, Costa Rica. I can’t make myself like Greece. They are so supremely boring.

  87. agirlagunner says:

Ginge, but he fell for the dive that led to the winning goal. Eeek.
Greece are like a less talented Chelsea. Park the bus, hit it long. Boring boring.

Goonie, I wanted to punch Robben’s smiling face. He knew he got one over the Mexicans. Tut tut.

Scott, I agree on the ding. Really ruins it for me. That’s why I hate… barcelona. Lol. You know I just had to say that.

  88. goonster says:

Lol agag get off our case…we won fair and square 😀 hey tai I thought you re my friend I support Nigeria you support the oranje. Come on now 😀

  89. tsgh says:

ha ha Agag.. was just pulling your legs lady..

we all know what we can expect from diving Robben… he has done it to us in the UCL a few times now it has become so predictable…

Re. Greece, Giorgos Karagounis is a warrior and I wanted to see more of the real Kosta not Costa… lol i.e Kostas Mitroglo.

However, the Greek players are not like the English players. They asked for their bonuses to be used for nations’ good/future.The English players however, took hold of their nth Xbox one console…

And the FA paid for 2 separate charter flights for those losers.. talking about environmental damage…

    Daylight Robbeny, goonie. 😀

I still remember how BM played against Arsenal; RObben, Muller, Lahm all playacting. Grrr.

  91. Tai Emeka Obasi says:

goonster…ok….I’ll accept your bribe. But your team woke up just after that ‘Cooling Break’…whatever they cooled with!

  92. goonster says:

Tai that’s the mark of a champion. We re the world champions in waiting. The era of the spaniards has ended and it’s our time 😀

  93. agirlagunner says:

Yay to the generosity of the Greek players!!

The problem with the English boys is their sense of entitlement. And now that you mention it, the carbon footprint! 😀 Poldi takes public transportation; and Per Mertesacker and his German teammates took the train to Wembley!

  94. agirlagunner says:

Poor Santos! But good riddance! 😀

goonie, you a Robben fan now??

Enjoy the next match, guys! 🙂

  95. tsgh says:

Agag, re Goonie being a Robben fan I was reading what Goonie said in February 2013 after BM beat us… lol

Goes to show blood is thicker than a red shirt.. 🙂

  96. Micko says:

First things first, what the hell is rico doing swimming off a british beach, talk about living life on the edge !!!

Well done stan, Greece or Costa rica to come, get the deck chairs out and crack open a couple of beers, think the dirty argies will take you out in the semi’s mind ya, enjoy the good times.

  97. Tai Emeka Obasi says:

goonster…will celebrate with you when that happens…though my sentiment lies with Messi…the third best player that has ever played the beautiful game needs a World Cup to so revered. He may never get another chance!

  98. goonster says:

Sorry tai I don’t do sentiments. If messi deserves it then fat Ronaldo deserves the Champions League. Plus did I mention it’s the oranje era.

  99. Micko says:

There’s a lotta bitter people on here stan, no coincidence all their teams are out already !!!

  100. Biscuitbum says:

Forget Debuchy. For me he`s no better than Jenks, who just needs games to improve. Aurier I like. I have to laugh at the Remy stories, which we all know is bx. I believe Schneiderlin will come, and would be a cracking signing. One story has us battling the spuds for him, but judging by the players supposed statements, they`d be wasting their time. Sanchez would be the dream signing but it`s probably just a pipe dream. Grenier has turned us down once, just like Capoue did a few years ago, probably bitterly regretting the way things turned out!

  101. tsgh says:

So true.. Gundugan could have been in that squad if he was fit..

The French only had Digne and Lloris as natives..

Morgan is part German, Swiss like AW…

  102. Tai Emeka Obasi says:

ok, goonster…still look over your shoulders…Germany is very hot on the heels…and as an Arsenal fan…we got three there in Brazil…and then the sentiment of RVP…don’t expect a lot of support here!

  103. agirlagunner says:

Micko, a quarter of the USMNT (silliest team name, ever, like we don’t know, it’s their “national” team, hello!!) is German, too. 😛

enjoy it while it lasts, goonie. Ginge, isn’t Giroud “native”?

  104. Sukky says:

Capoue,I remember that guy.All arsenal fans are dying for him to be signed but he eventually went to hot sparm, now we see how it turns out. That’s why I don’t jugde Wenger’s decision. We are just fans, what do we know#Aha

  105. tsgh says:

Sukky so true but Capoue like Sissoko stopped playing DM at least 18 months before they joined the EPL. Didot was the holding midfielder or the Ivorian midfielder but as per usual the English media said they were DM so they had to be…

  106. tsgh says:

France 198 line vs Brazil in1998… ho many of them were ‘proper’ french?

France – Barthez, Thuram, Desailly, Lebouef, Lizarazu, Deschamps, Petit, Karembeu, Zidane, Djorkaeff, Guivarc’h Subs – Vieira, Boghossian, Dugarry

I counted 4 of of the strating XI; Djorkaeff was Armenian/polish

  107. Micko says:

Tony Cascarino has to be the biggest laugh tsgh, I’m sure you know the score.
C’mon Joel, anyone would think he’s playing for a move away from Arsenal !
    Keep it real, laters.

  108. Scott From Oz says:

The momentum swung quite a Few times, didn’t it Sukky?
Greece had thei chances, CR stayed solid and took theirs on the end.

  109. BrainwashedKev says:

Have to say that Joel Campbell had a very good game…

I’ll be very suprised if he isn’t a part of our squad next season.

    Morning Lee

  110. Scott from Oz says:

Kev, Joel copped some criticism from Mates here, but I backed him because he ran his arse off and was absolutely gasses by the end.
He will need a decent break either way before the new season starts.
I reckon he can make it.

  111. tsgh says:

Interesting that the saints have been allowed talks with Axel Witsel – only after WC so not to distract from Tournament. £14m fee agreed (less than half Zenit paid!)

Considering they have Wanyama in the DM role and are losing Lallana it must mean Morgan is on his way out…

    Morning Wath, Scott et al…

  112. tsgh says:

Catalan sports paper Mundo Deportivo reporting we have made 40million euro bid for Alexis Sanchez but Barca are holding out for more…

  113. frednerk says:

    Morning All,
Ts if barce can get Hector from the dippers Sanchez will go.
Sammy Khedira is Ozils mate so could be some legs in that.

  114. Wath says:

    Morning All,

Great pens by Costa Rica last night….

Ts, is that a stat your posting from that Mundo paper 🙂

Do we really believe anything that comes out of a spanish paper they are worse that the daily fail on a great day..!

  115. Scott From Oz says:

    Morning guys.
Wath, I thought that even the Greece lads took top penalties, but one seriously great save denied them.
So the wheeling and dealing is in motion transfers already.

  116. tsgh says:

    Hi Bondex, Nickie…

Apparently Barca are now the only candidate in for ‘Hector Jaws’…

It also seems ‘s’ has implicitly stated he won’t move to the the city of culture so Barca are trying to use Sanchez in a swap deal for the Vidal. Alll in all we need to cough up money in excess of MO11’s fee if we really wanat ‘s’
I guess that is what happens when the whole world knows we have one of the the biggest cash reserves in football… that still complies with FFP.

Also RM are now prepared to do some sort of ‘horse trading’ with Monaco to help Monaco meet the FFP rules as they will be in the UCL. They are in negotiating with Monaco for James…

I am certain James would want to move to RM… that will meant Benzema’s place may be in trouble…
