Morning all.
So the rumours earlier this week about Aaron Ramsey suffering an thigh injury were not far off of the truth. Both he and Mathieu Flamini face late fitness tests ahead of tonights fixture. Both were training with the squad yesterday so it doesn’t look all bad.
Cazorla, Diaby, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Podolski, ย Sanogo and Walcott are all missing through injury and this match comes just a few days too early for Tomas Rosicky but as said yesterday, he resumes training on Monday and could be ready in time for Napoli in the Champions League.
Gnabry should continue to fill the void left by Theo Walcott, as long as Wednesdays victory over WBA didn’t take too much from his body having played the full 120 minutes.
Despite limping off in midweek, Mikel Arteta is fit to play.
I would imagine that we’ll see the same starting eleven which faced Stoke City last weekend at The Emirates and brushed them aside 3-1.
Today though will see a much tougher test.
Swansea are going through a purple patch. Having lostย their first two league games they’re now ย on a run of three unbeaten and have had a very good victory over Valencia in Europe. They are struggling to win in front of their own fans though having gone seven home games without a win in the league but don’t let that record fool anyone, both Manchester United and Liverpool has been two of their opponents this season.
Arsene Wenger is clearly a huge admirer of Michu, suggesting he plays ‘like a Bergkamp’ – positionally, not ability but he’s a good player regardless and a very good finisher as we found out last season so our midfield and defence need to be at the top of their game.
Don’t let him get the ball, then he can’t hurt us. Same can be said of their new summer signing Bony, another good player who could harm us, in fact Swansea have a few good dangerous players.
We too are on a good run, a very good one in fact, apart from the opening day blip, we are unbeaten both home and away and we’ve had a great result in Europe too, albeit the Champions League!
Seriously, it’s great to see yet another once great player for Arsenal return and be part of the squad in training. Shame Sir Bobby is not twenty years younger eh….
Back to tonight, we need to keep our good run going, play like we have been of late and we should do too.
As said before, Swansea will be no pushover and they have a manager who likes his side to play football the right way.
With the way they play and the way we do too it should make for a great game of football. One in which whoever takes their chances, and I think there will be many, will be the winners.
We have enough to make sure that’s us….
COYG’s…..
I believe this match is gonna be one of the hardest ones.
If we have a lot of injured players and comes Monday, Rosicky will be back to full training. This with Arteta and Vermaelen back in contention we will have depth again.
Great header, could you try to make it a bit more inaccurate in future. Thank you.
What is inaccurate Philbet? They both face late fitness tests and both could fail them..
Jeez, some people!
Good morning!
Not a clear day here
Come on Arsenal!
I hope they are fit…and all injured Gunners return soon. Lets make Winning an instinct. Please, will Wenger still start Mertesacker after a gruelling 120 minutes at West Brom in midweek?
Nor here JM, good weather for a game of football…
Tiz – good question, maybe TV will start with Kos, but then TV also played 120 mins midweek..
I’d personally rather Merts plays tonight and gets a rest for the CL game..
Wilshere to score today…. Hi Rico, hi all in the house.
Boo! Hello, rico. How is everyone? ๐ Our squad is getting really thin. ๐ COYGS!!
Hi kene, hope more than just him scores ๐
“set to miss” and “it doesn’t look so bad”. That’s why Rico ๐
Boo to you agag, how is your holiday going?? Or has it gone now…
Yes, but taking part in training is very different to playing a competitive match lex….
I hope they both pass fitness tests but we’ll find out later whether or not they do.
rico,i dont like your title
i see no problem with the header.. ‘set to miss’ was with a question mark. that means possibility..50/50.
anyway i hope both are passed fit bse both are vital..
It’s gone, rico. ๐ ๐ I’ll send you photos. But I am off on an extended one beginning next week. ๐ How are ya??
I hope we keep our momentum going, and that players start coming back in. Too many are in the treatment room. Ick.
Morning all, Nice one Rico.
In my paper this morning it claims that what i said a couple of months ago about wenger dieing in service could posibly be true, as apparently Wenger has said that he will sign his new 8 million a year contract, Yes you read that right 8 million contract, when he has the time, as at the moment he has other things taking his time up. He also has supposedly said that he wants to be here for life. That has really pleased me, but i know many would feel like topping themselves with that news. Mind you this is paper talk and we know whats thats like. Not true till you hear it from the horses mouth. Personally i would accept Wenger for life in a heartbeat but another thing Wenger said in this interview was that no manager has a job for life even if your happy to stay as managers are not the the people that appoints managers and you could be sacked at any time. (or words to that effect)
I personally see a successful manager as a man that can keep you in top flight positions for a susstained period Wenger has done this and also has won the odd trophy along the way, now although i would have loved more trophies i have to look at the situation logically and look at the big picture. 16 years in top four he started with 3rd then 1st then2nd then2nd and so on until now where we are currently 1st We have the longest serving manager and the most successfull one in Arsenals history. Many men have been done plenty over the years none other than Herbert but Wenger in my opinion have surpassed them all. 8 million some supporters will chock on that as that has stuck in many throats over the years but sixteen inclusions into champions league makes that a drop in the ocean he has paid for our new stadium and helped pay his own wages since he came. When i pop my cloggs i only hope that man is still leading Arsenal. Enough said. COYRRG’S
Thank you topats..
That went quickly agag ๐
I’m good thanks, be better if we win later.. Photo’s, nice ๐
step-one – I don’t care…
SSP, I’d be happy for AW to stay, provided that he supplements the team with more Ozil type signings. ๐
rico, I know. Hols are always too, too short.
Carragher has been saying nice things about us. That makes for a change. Oh, and Owen is such a donut.
Who are these people nitpicking on the title of the post?? Seriously!!
Thanks Sp, I’m with agag, as long as signings like Ozil aren’t a one off, he gets my support…
Oh, and we win a trophy or two… or at least look like a squad who can..
I posted a link from Carragher, good read I thought..
Agree agag, but its always nice to go home I think…
It’s the weekend, maybe kids have been let on the internet…
rico, well, their folks should clearly take away their surfing privileges. ๐ ๐
๐ agag, indeed they should.
I think i must be getting old, 60 year old pop stars kids who spend their lives playing games on computors instead of learning about the real world. the only things that stay the same is Arsenal in the top 4 and politicions lying. Yep i’m getting old. O and women with more shoes than there are days of the week ( oh Hi Agag) ๐
Afternoon Gunner,
Just dropping live stream link for Chelsea vs Swampies

Enjoy responsibly!!! Hahahahahaha.
Nice interview with Wilshere by the DailyFail.

60 is young Sp ๐
Thanks Dg and Afternoon to you…
1-0 to the Toots
Don’t judge a book by its cover is a clichรฉ that has stand the test of time for a reason.
If you’re here to skim titles you probably don’t have any context to share. Please stay away.
Thank you on behalf of Highbury House regulars and the lady of the house.
Good morning HH, Chelsea looks nervous. lol
Mike Dean is a spurs fan.
morning all..
A good read Rico… c’mon Reds…
Rico, I can’t find my crystal ball to make predictions for 2day, but the good old stats tell me we win when we play at 5pm most times so… ๐
Going back when Bobby was 19 y.o he was just a lanky central midfielder who looked like olsson; I am sure the Erm faithful won’t have wanted another flat footed french winger now.lol
Another of the original sicknotes representative of most of AW’s buys during his time with us… A true legend nonetheless…
tootts are very strong
Who know Arsenal line up?
Thanks Dg….
Hi Gdna/Ts..
Bobby was one of my favs, I’d love him back at any age ๐
Hope for once your stats make some sense later Ts.. ๐
I must depart, Fido needs a walk….
Back in an hour or so…
JM, totts is strong because cfc is shit, i can see the reason why Ts don’t fancy Jose is a prick. If Spurs play we like that they will b murdered.
Ginge
Bobby did have that duck walk, like he slipped on studded scuba flippers. Among legends nonetheless.
Could serve us well this season as an extra on the Colney perimeters.
Don’t mention it Rico. We have high standards on this blog. Why should we accept anything less.
He is doing his badges with the club… and judging from the photo above he will offer a lot tactically to our younger midfielders as TR07, Arteta are doing for the younger clubs…
members currently… I should have added.
Hi Dg
Rico, I also don’t like your title…. ๐
Mata
Talking about the CL match and who should play in the CB positions… Dries Mertens, Hamsik, Pandev will cause us big problems if we are not on our toes… Kosser needs to play but I won’t mind Sagna playing in CD either.
where is Oscar day?
today… even
I know that Gnabry played 120 minutes on Wednesday night, but that lad is only 19 and must have energy to burn…
He’ll be fine, probably Miyaichi could replace him for the final 15/20 minutes if his level drops too much…
Swansea have played as many games as us and will possibly suffer an adverse reaction to losing their trophy in midweek…
It’s gonna be a tough game that’s for sure…
Erikson better than ozil, its all fools day.
Good to see the Chavs and Spuds really getting stuck in to each other…
Ginge
Just done in depth reading on Benteke. Puts talent development in perspective.
Most blame an academy but that lad came through by pure determination, passion and perseverance. You can’t teach that.
By every turn he took the mountain seemed to get larger and larger, punching holes in the clouds, still he kept his head down and dug deep into his self belief.
Renders a lot of respect with me. Hats off to Villa for acknowledging his potential.
Dna, your buddy the ref is biased…
Mourinho moaning about the schedule for the League Cup tie at Arsenal…
I don’t believe a word he says about fielding an U21 team…
Wenger won’t take any notice I’m sure…
And if Mourinho does follow through on his threat, then I’d like to see Wenger put out his strongest side in order to destroy them…
Torres off, ha ha, get stuck in lads… ๐
๐ Kev; Mauren showing all his cards is as believable as Tony Blair being against war…
It might just be my imagination Ginge, but I can’t shake off the feeling that Mourinho has lost a bit of his lustre….
Even his apologists in the Press are less enamoured by his verbal nonsense these days..
The ‘box office’ appeal as the media call it.lol
At croke park today 82000 all Ireland final.be checking in on my beloved arsenal though keep me posted.love cork, love arsenal.getting drunk now come on the rebels.coyg.
No more Didier Drogba to save his arse…
Stunning News……….
Marica signs for Getafe…
Yawn…,
Man U is the LA Lakers of the PL, downwards they go….lol
Ozil first goal to come…
Mighty Getafe… what happened to the big salary Marcia was demanding?lol
$hitty losing to AV
What a weekend in the PL. Lets go Red Army.
Very misleading headline, what sort of blog is this anyway.
We do the bizo this evening and it could turn out to be a very nice weekend indeed.
C’mon Arsenal.
Ts, are you watching Nani?
Come on Arsenal!
Did anyone watched Gervinho goal on last wednesday?
Good Morning, Good Afternoon flock. What a day this beginning to looks like. AV3-ManCity2, ManU1 -WBA2
Lets go and get it done, boys. This suppose to be our season… the good guys.
Lets go Red Army…
Evening all…
Kev, you are cheeky and hard to please ๐
Kev
Maureen lost his fur and media are eagerly pulling his canines. One by one at a week’s pace.
Dna, I didn’t how was Nani?
Very interesting Laudrup has decided to go man for man in midfield with only Michu upfront. No Bony…
I expected him to go 2 upfront as we struggle 2v2 at the back but I guesshe wants to control or share possession like us…
Dutch, everyone gets what’s coming to them…
Nani was bossing the game.
COYFRRG
DG ๐ some of the things you come up with are hilarious…
Serge goal today…
We need to stop Shelvey in midfield. I am hoping Ramsey is fully fit to do what he needs to do…
You’re as bad as Kev Micko, but I expected nothing less ๐ ๐
Crazy results today….

Yeah I don’t mind Nani for less than ยฃ10m…; I was open to his coming to join the real REDs…
I really miss Walcott, we are really doing well considering the players we have injured.
Arsenal team to play Swansea: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Wilshere, Ramsey, Flamini, Ozil, Gnabry, Giroud
subs: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Monreal, Jenkinson, Arteta, Ryo, Bendtner
Oh dear Jamie has admitted Ramsey is the best midfielder in the country…
Ginge
Nani for less than 10mln?? Someone clearly c*cked up with the Aldi price gun.
Dna, Theo is a big game player but imho this is not the type of game for Theo… we need to keep the ball better and I am afraid Theo is not one to do that when it is needed….
Stats show he plays poorly against Swansea anyway…
Having 3 none defending players in the line-up would have hamstrung us… imho of course…
Verminator has gone missing me thinks. Aarrggghh the curse of the armband.
https://twitter.com/samuelj29060/status/383989739579510784/photo/1
Sessagon or Nani would have been good squad players.
No chance of Nani, he signed a new contract a few weeks ago….
Saying that, all the Mancs might want out soon – Rooney ๐
๐ Dg… Nani is not English so he would have been cheaper than Henderson (dippers);Over the summer I said I would have liked him for less than ยฃ10M as he was asking for ยฃ120kpw in salary
I agree Ts, but we need theo pace to get behind their defense.
Gdna – I’m with you, TW would have loved today, Swansea play football and we should get chances…
Fingers crossed Serge isn’t tired from Wednesday…
True Sessagnon is good… for a man from the voodoo/juju capital of the world. ๐
I like Mulumbu too but you do not rate him…
Rico, i don’t like playing without theo or ox, irrespective of the team we play. Theo offer something that no other player offer in the league.
Last Dec TW played and we lost 2-0 and he gave the ball away more than anyone.
Arsenal starting lineup vs SCFC 2012:- Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Cazorla, Arteta, Wilshere, Walcott, Gervinho, Podolski
Ts, Mulumbu is not afc quality. lol. Its just as pundits saying Erikson better than ozil. lol
Lets go Red Army.
Dna, I know it is in the past but I remember you and ESp saying last time that Dyer was even better than Theo in that match… ๐
I am pleased ‘we’ are missing what Theo brings to the table when he is out… as most of the time he gets lots of stick… OM match before his goal is an example…. and I said he would score,
What about in the like for like away game which we won 2-0 Ts?
DNA
Sessagon for me.
Nani has that Portuguese haughtiness that has spread like wildfire within their National camp (Sorry JM). Blatantly and disdainfully proud with a insulting attitude.
Would tick off some humble characters we have among our midst.
Serge already showing his value.
Theo scored?No
Gervinho scored
Swansea will be well up for it in the opening 20/25 minutes, following a Laudrup flea in the ear…
We have to keep it tight and see out Swansea’s early efforts.
Then gradually strangle the life out of the Swans…
COYFRRG
I know, as did Monreal but my point is he played and we won…
Is it not interesting that whenever we need to improve on our ball retention Ramsey is made to play deeper and Flamini is moved further up…
Sessagon, Nani, don’t want either of them tbh Dutch…
Olsson, Akpom, Zelalem, Hayden, Gnabry before either of the above ‘show ponies’…
Reus in January would be nice…
JW looks lost.
I agree Rico; I was never saying he was the reason for us losing…
You know I am one of the few who defend Theo on here.. I just think he is useful for certain games… Swansea do not keep a high backline and so Theo is ineffective against them;just my observation… I may be wrong or you may agree that is why he plays well against Spurs and the likes…
Reus for me any day … the missing piece; a gentleman’s Suarez in my view.
Kev even Honda will do on the lhs for us…
Dear oh dear Scez
Honda is very good on the rhs and behind the striker too; and Stan will sell enough shirts in the Far East to get his money back.lol
Dna, I would bring Monreal on to play on the lhs…
AW need to change formation, Swans are passing but they are average as fuck.
What is wrong with Ramsey today, not sure he likes playing in Wales….
JW need to be sub.
And Giroud looks dead n his feet already…
Come on guys, pick it up…
Massive yawn so far.
Oh dear, Giroud looks in pain
Come on guys don’t allow frustration to creep in. Keep a cool heads.
Passing is all over the place Lewis, it’s not what we are used to this season…
Even Ozil is struggling…
Needs a big talk from the manager..
How the hell did he miss that!!!!
Lord knows Ng…
Misses too many clear cut chances.
Undynamic and unbalanced. No width and too slow through midfield. Gnabry showed what can happen of you drive into defenders instead of playing everything in front of them.
Disappointing so far but perhaps a second half resurgence?
Don’t worry folk… the goal will come.
How many interceptions did Serge make; He did what I expect from him technically.
Dna, AW has got Monreal warming up.. probably thinking what you are thinking…
Wilshere is playing?
Swansea have individual marks to all of us midfield players.they follow them from everywhere
Spot on there Adam… We certainly need to see something very different in the second half…
Serge does what he did there very often playing for the dfb and u-21’s.
I believe Sagna will admit he has had an easy afternoon defensively due to the support Serge has given to him all afternoon.
Is this beginning of the return of “The Prodigal Son”??? I hope so.
Kev
I trust your view on the youngsters.
Regarding buy options on Cesspool and Nani-narcissistic
Arsenal is the best.
Get the fuck in there!
Check my 5:12
Some cof us know what we are talking about… yes. lol
Yesss……………..
The Germans are coming!!!
Goal yes you good thing.
Game should be dead!
OMG Ozil.
I like that flamini is prepared to take a booking to break down a counter attack. Not enough players have been prepared to do that in recent years. IMO.
Boy wonder… Ramsey is not Arsenal quality… ha ha ha
Drink a few for me Cork.lol
Aaron fucking Ramsey, ur messi
Speechless ๐
@DNA. I know you would come around.
@tsgh, Yes we’ll check it. What say you our soothsayer????
Wow
Michael Owen ur a cnut. Sorry rico but its the truth.
ha ha Ng…
No soothsayer; just a guess as Rico said.lol
I’m sorry Ramsey, my apologies. Ts and Scott get that 1 right. lol
Now keep the pressure on. Don’t give them a hint of resilience.
Ginge tip my hat for your prediction. Gnarby to score.
ML is being found out. lol
Super save Scz.
Yes… Swansea would have won with a 4-3-1-1 formation but he decided to match us…
As I say none of the AW disciples can outplay the old Fox… and that includes Klopp and Conte…
Where is Scott?
Arteta on to calm the nerves.
Ts, how u loving it?
serge goes off and a goal comes from our rhsa…
2-2?
Oh dear. Good goal. No challenge tho!
I will bring B-52 on on the rhs
Indeed Lewis no challenge…. we fans do not appreciate hard workers…
2 weeks of boring international after this… pfff
Squeaky bum time.
Is it really ts? Thought we just had an interlull?!
Sure is Lewis, big time…
Lewis, the international matches are after next weekend match at WBA
Napoli on Tuesday too before then
You are right Rico… Napoli and WBA before… ๐
Yes… a new record. ha ha ha
Red Army.
Really good win, shabby 1st half, much much better 2nd half..
Great goal for Gnabry, superb tackle by Jack to set up the second and another good finish by Ramsey….
I would take the international break now, we need some of our players back.
How many MoTM performances has Ramsey had? WoW
He is still not Arsenal quality though… he can’t even score a hat trick ๐
Ches also deserves a mention, he was solid all game… One slight blip with his heavy touch but not sure that should have gone back to him at the pace it did and with Michu lurking..
Great results all round today…
EPL record Ginge or Europe overall?
Ditto Rico on JW’s tackle
Ts – who are your ‘not good enough’ comments directed at??
No-one here has or still is suggesting that this season so I don’t get the point re your comments…
MA 08 lost his place in the squad, another captain to the bench.
Ramsey has a nice little dig at Arsene…
Rico don’t let Ginge run with it. Hahahaha
Both… for us and to Yanited’s in EPL 8 straight wins.
I thought everyone played well Rico…
Most of our players are playing continental/tactical football; we bring the ball back when needed and try to recycle the game.
Even our English players are doing like-wise.
Rico that’s true because I was the main Ramsey basher and I apologies. Lol
Dg – I try not to ๐
Rico, it was a joke ok… based on Scott always saying Aaron will score a hat trick!
That was the first part of last season and before Gdna, he deserved it then ๐
Dna, that was not aimed at you at all and not to anyone.. as I say Scott and WATH are always joking about AR16 scoring 3 goals in a match…
Not many teams are going to get points off Swans when they go to Wales, it was a massive win. Moyes would love to be in our position.
I see Ts…
I reckon they might Gdna, I think that’s 7/8 matches since they last won at home – not sure how though, they played good football at times…
Ts. I know u was joking and I was too. I was just going to post the “AW don’t do tactics”. Lol
Yes… AW don’t do tactics…lol
Its subtle changes as Ramsey said…
AR16 digging at AW but he does not realise playing on both wings helped him to develop tactically. imho of course.
yes, we won!
Nice day!
Rico, What we just did wasn’t easy, teams are going to be tired chasing the ball. Liverpool was a perfect example.
DNA
Synchronicity at play here. Was just about to tout the same. Swans will claim some chief scalps this season. They are already out of the COC competition so that leaves them an extra breather.
The other day I think it came out wrongly when I said ML10 has been found out as a coach… I was just referring to his 2nd year record at all his clubs… but still ๐
The home record is a worry but I am sure he will work it out eventually… Laudrup is a bit one dimensional imo…
People say AW does not do tactics but the best managers do not…
We can only guess really Gdna, I actually hope they pick up as I like Swansea, some good players and a good manager imho..
I agree with you DNA at 7:39.
That is why we need another Ramsey in the squad other wise we won’t win jack shite… I am expecting Frimpong to come in and do that when he is fit… Hayden is a bit too raw imho…
A runner in midfield to dictate play, slowing and speeding play up…
Ts, please phone Jamie Redknapp and tell him the score, he reckons we are top because all our oppositions we play was weak and Swan will be the real test.
Another assist from OG12
๐ Dna
Any team that goes to Wales and try and out pass Swans will be demolished, AW got his tactics right. The two halves was played differently which shows he and Boldy watched a few tapes. JW was the only 1 switching off in the first half. But did better in the second half.
Winning Mentality….
I wrote that a few days ago, and this team just digs deep and grinds out winning results…
The performance to me is secondary.
The points are everything…
You are spot on Kev…
But that is what having a core of a team together for more than 1 team can do… the first time since 2006.
Fergie won for having the same team since 1996 and he is a genius… ๐
Ts, did u read Michael Owen article? He is another 1 trying to be relevant, when we all knew his relevance expires in 2006.
wow what a night of results – 3.00am and pumping – well done lads great team effort
I read that buddy; even Piers Morgan slated him for that…
Pumping what at 3:00am Oz?. ๐ ๐
All goals and action. Chopped in bite sizes.
http://arsenalist.com/
7:48 should read … But that is what having a core of a team together for more than 1 year can do…
Spot on Kev points over performance, that’s something i noticed AW is also keen on, check his comments after STOKE CITY out pass us at home. lol
Ozzy got a flat tire???
tsgh – ๐ i have had a couple mate ๐ impressed with team spirit
Or did you patched your doll??
better get my ass to bed – night all
The hat trick will come Ginge…have a little patience and leave the kid alone ๐
Morning guys.
Barely had a spare moment over the last few days,a few little issues to sort through of late..nothing major, but damn, family can really be a pain in the arse at times.
Still, the mighty Gunners keep us ticking over, and how good is it to see them on top of the league where they should be.
Love it!!
Another decemt performance, a few more goals and the all important 3 points.
Catch you all later…i need some more sleep.
Enjoy your evening guys ๐ ๐ ๐
Gnabry is a first team player his goal was well taken, no more u21.
Nite to Down Under. Skippy & Skippy gonna hit the sack. LOL
Kev, your pre-match comment was spot on too, soak up the pressure and then go for the goal. Little bit of late pressure too but we dealt with that…
Night Oz, you’ll sleep well…
Nite Oz
Credit to Michu on the Szczer incident.
Kept going at it, nearly turning a non-event into a egg on face lead.
Nite Scott… hat trick is passed its due date mate.lol
Gdna, are you peeping at what I am writing for tomorrow ๐
Talking of which, I’m off to finish it and then catch up on Strictly..
Another great result… and that’s all which matters…
Night all, have a good evening…
Hi and bye Scott…
Best free agent of the summer, Flamini…
Ts, Ramsey cant continue like this, he is taking the pressure off Ozil.
Rico, lol.
Ginge, we are constantly told that we ‘cannot defend’ and that we have a ‘thin squad’…
Well I don’t see either of those two things in this squad…
What we have, is an increasing number in our squad of players with a winning mentality, allied to a crop of exceptionally talented Kids…
Dutch, your use of the English language is so, er, Dutch…
The minimum words for the maximum effect…
Like a Cryuff Turn or a Van Basten volley…
Jamie Redknapp says Aaron Ramsey showing hallmarks of Patrick Vieira. How much mouth this dude got?
Cheers Rico….
Enjoy the dancing…
Ok, I reckon I’m quite a few pints behind Mick, as usual…
So to keep my end up, I’m off to sink a few Peroni’s…
Adam, missed ya earlier mate, rock n’ roll buddy…
Spot on again Kev… it could be argued we need a ‘Suarez’ but BVB and FC Bayern only have one strikers of note…
This days and like when we use to win something… we need our midfielders to chip in with goals…
Pizzaro of Munchen only scores for the Bavarians when they are 2 or 3 up… its the Robbens and Mullers who come from deep to score… and that is why I have been calling for Reus like you and Emma for a while now…
Aaron Ramsey won all 7 of his tackles v Swansea. No player for either side won more tackles than him. (via @Squawka ) pic.twitter.com/kRytIEmo1Z

Later Kev…
Dna, Ramsey’s figures were not far of Patrick’s last season; he is infact ahead of PV in terms of STATS now and he does not get red carded every 5 or so matches either….
And I bet he has not got Dein orchestrating a move for him as we speak… ๐
Ramsey’s injury record is actually spotless if you blot out the Shawcross incident.
Interesting stat on AR16 again… he makes Flamini look good believe me.. lol
Dna, you comment on Ozil is spot on…
I mentioned before he even played for us that I just hope the faithful do not turn on him like they did with AA23.
29 successful tackles made thus far in the EPL for AR16… 5 more than any other player.
Second in the whole Europe… first is a CB
By January some will desperately wanna move cuz of the Rio World Cup. Strike when the iron is hot I say. Jack said its the ultimate for any pro.
Cheers Kev
Can’t wait to see Ozil, SC19 and TR07 combo.
Man United is in 12th position. #Moyesin#
I think Ozil’s performances will go up logarithmically with SC19 and TR07 and even MA08 playing next to him…
Ts, do u have any idea of Gnabry current contract? We need to make sure this guy is on a proper contract because he is some talent. Check the defensive side to his game, its impressive.
He signed a 5 year contract 18 months ago…
He would have made his appearances last season but he had 2 minor ankle injuries at key times…. September and January so he could not cut it then… hopefully he stays injury free.
Aneke will come back in January but unfortunately for him, we have 6 or 7 players ahead of him in central midfield so…
Reus helped my other teasm BVB to win 5-0 over Ginter/ Le Coq’s team
Night guys and ladies…
No Agag today?
Evening all, Well done the lads, but i must admit it looked like they had all been out on the piss last night. I felt i was watching an old black and white movie where it looks as if its half pace. We gave the ball away at every chance we had. It was 20 minutes before i realised that Giroud was on the pitch but i wont moan as the rest looked like they wanted to be anywhere rather than in Wales. Swansey also wasn’t at their best either, better than us but still not good enough to beat us and i feel sorry for them. Both teams improved in the second half, and for the the first 20 odd minutes we took our chances, then tried to close the door but they got behind us and nicked one back. Ramsey named man of the match, i personally would have given it to Serge Gnabry as i felt he was the only spark in the box while he was on. I am very happy that we won and moved 2 points ahead of every other team. I am just happy that we have a few returning from injury as our team looked jaded and thats with a weeks full rest.
Gnabry is a defo 1st teamer now.
Theo has some competition for his position, which should motivate him and benefit us.
Arteta is back, adding some more competition to our ‘thin squad’…
And I’m about to get my third pint of Peroni…
Still a long way behind Mick, but catching up…
SteveP
Points over performance mate, like that BrainwashedKev fella says. ๐
Rambo got MotM partially from the consistent press buzz he’s creating. Mouths filling papers and talk shows need something to shoehorn their take on things.
I would have chosen Flamini as his off the ball positioning prevents opponents finding their mojo and flow. Although giving a young lad some well deserved praise would have carried my full approval.
Nite mate.
BTW Rico
Put your entire mortgage on Susan Boyle reaching the final of Strictly.
Kev, the digger has stalled, you can’t be too far behind me now.
Top of the league,
Moyes gone by xmas,
What’s that you say Rvp, you wanna come back…….aaahhhhh boo hoo hoo.
Commiserations Cork !!! Scant consolation but a cracking game.
Dutch 10.06, word of warning, don’t let tsgh catch you using the ‘F’ word, he’ll have your guts for garters !!!
Watching MOTD, they’re showing the two Manchester games before us, thought we were top of the league, isn’t that usually how it works, makes you laugh, ooh to, ooh to be, ooh to be a gooner !
Nite Gooners.
Morning all.
Manchester fans are self doubting themselves, yes they know their owners have pots of money, but they are in a quandry. How can a club like Arsenal be top of the league when this time last year we were right down the league and they were topping. One signing of Ozil who lets face it he hasnt set the world on fire and one loaner who hasn’t even dirtied a glove yet. Sanogo who has been injured after one game who cost absolutly nothing and Flamoni who has been a breath of fresh air. Reserve players who have hit the ground running and established players who have had a year injured back running things. A centre forward who after one season was written off, how can this mix and match team be top of the league. Pundits who usually spend all their time slating Wengers transfer dealings and how he is a dinosaur, how were short of depth and players who are second rate. Funny that after 5 games we have midfielders who are probably now some of the best in the world a manager who has to be admired and a club that does things the right way. Makes me laugh, its like buying a Skoda and entering a race with all the top makes and Skoda goes out and wins what can you say. These morons who have earned their living backbiting everything Arsenal now have to go back on all the things they have said in the past, it must be twisting their guts to have to say something nice about us. Maureen Noisy and Pelagrimace must be wondering if this could effect their future, i certainly hope so COYG’S
Shit Steve…..that makes my “morning all” look bloody average ๐
How goes it bud?
Top of the league…who’d have thought it possible??
A few of us more positive ones, maybe ๐
Morning All…
Looking forward to Napoli this coming Tuesday…
They turned us over in the Emirates pre-season so underestimating them isn’t an option.
Benitez can be a slippery customer, so it’s gonna be typical European fare…
How are you Kev?
I have noticed a spike in your level of enthusiasm of late and it is great to see.
A long way to go, but hey, we can only judge the club on what we see and so far, i like what i see ๐
Morning Scott, lets face it mate if we were honest with ourselves we don’t know whats happening ourselves, i keep pinching myself to see if i’m dreaming, but its about time we had a decent bit of press, although not sure how long it will last. ๐
Morning all,
Still buzzing…I was speaking to a Yanited fan last night who reckons Moyes wants our Jack as part of Wooney move in January.pffff.joker.
Kev, Naples are quite slippery customers but this season they have dropped off in the 2nd half and you know about our new found resilience. Lol
Steve, we should all just enjoy the ride mate.
Hiya Ginge.
Just met a guy who had a cleaning business in London and cleaned the apartment on Pires……of course, i had to give him a bottle of Piees Pilsener ๐
Hiya Scott
๐ lucky guy he is….
You are right about the ride…our annual October dip is around the corner, lets hope fans stick around….
I have a hypothetical question…
As Serge is a natural no.10 should he play there if Ozil is not fit ahead of sc19..
I know its just one game but…
Kev, should be pleased…we are linked with Lars again.
I dont think we need him though but solid performer in an already crowded midfielder.
Morning all.
Dg – Boyle is not in it ๐
New post up now…
