Pulis and Shearer spot on! Wenger showing signs of desperation….

Morning all.

Ex Arsenal footballers turned pundits are forgetting why they are in a job right now. If it wasn’t for their successful careers at our club, they’d be nothing, certainly not a football pundit on a big fat salary. Blokes like Alan Smith, who was hardly a great player really, now enjoys kicking the club whilst it’s down. I don’t mean by being critical of what’s going on on and off the pitch but on Sunday, his defence of the linesman who couldn’t see David Silva was offside, was embarrassing. It’s not the first time he’s been anti the club either is it? I actually don’t enjoy his punditry and never have. He’s not the only one either. I read some comments from Tony Pulis the other day and as much as he’s another bloke I have little time for, what he said was true about how these so called experts all have an opinion on what clubs, managers and players should be doing at their respective clubs yet when they dipped their toe into management/coaching, they failed. But here they all are earning a living off the back of a failed managerial career, instead, preferring to stay in the warm spouting their pearls of wisdom. If they are so smart, why aren’t they out their persevering with a career in football? Especially when one considers they so often talk about there being so few English managers in the league. Why did Thierry Henry choose Sky Sports over a job with the club he loves? I don’t get it, not one bit as it’s not like he doesn’t want to be involved in the game otherwise he wouldn’t have teamed up with Roberto Martínez and the Belgian international team as assistant manager. Perhaps it’s Arsene Wenger, Theirry didn’t want to work with him, after all, I’m sure I read Josh Kroenke wanted our all time goal scoring record holder at the club. In fact I read an article in The Telegraph which suggested the son of the big wig actually wanted Henry to replace Wenger. Imagine that eh, shame Daddy didn’t agree.

Another pundit who grates me is Alan Shearer but again, what he’s said this weekend is right too and that’s that Arsene Wenger should apologise to Raheem Sterling for calling him a diver after he earned his side a penalty at the weekend. It was clear for everybody to see that contact was made by Nacho Monreal which caused Sterling to go over and to suggest the Englishman took a dive is cheap, lazy and disgraceful. But he’s desperate, desperate to find an excuse for his team failing once again away from home and against a top four side. Yet City were there to be beaten and I’m sure a better manager, or even just a more organised and disciplined manager will prove that before the season ends. Battered by Liverpool both in terms of football and goals, battered by City as far as the football goes. A 2-1 loss might have looked more credible on paper but who would bare deny that in terms of the football on show, City and Arsenal were gulfs apart for most of the game.

The reality is though, there’s little point in expecting this situation to change under Arsene Wenger. He has two players in the squad who want out and they will be very soon, other players are coming to the end of their contract either this summer or the following one and who would blame them for wanting out too. What about Kolasinac and Lacazette, are they going to stick around for long at a club which is going the way we are?

We’re no longer an ambitious club, we’re an average one just floating along for the ride whilst others around us improve and compete. Still, I guess if the decline continues which is quite likely, one day our toothless board will spring into action and do what they should have done a while ago..

They’ll have no choice…

I ran the Sterling penalty incident a number of times and my criticism of Wenger’s comments are that he used the wrong word . He did not dive and in today’s game it was a penalty because it is the acceptance of his little trick by referees that make it so. He was hardly in front of Monreal and there was legal contact at the shoulders but the salient bit was the slight contact on his calf caused simply by Sterling moving his foot across and into Monreal’s leg. Was it a deliberate trip ? NO . Was there deliberate contact of his calf ? NO . In this day and age was it a penalty ? YES>
Dive was the wrong word , Did he decieve the referee yes , Was he actually going down before the contact ? Probably yes. Was it simulation ? NO Was it a penalty ? not when I played but today Yes.

  2. gnarleygeorge9 says:

Penalty or not, video referrals will sort out the divers or deceivers in future.

The real issue is what was the point of giving Arsene Wenger another 2 years. Who were the dopey buggers that signed off on that decision?

  3. jeff wright says:

With all due respect I don’t agree with your view of the incident Potter these slow mo replays can be deceiving . Monreal shoved Sterling in the back which when you are running at speed can cause you to fall over even if the contact his slight and I would say that it was more so than that . Monreal also used his foot to impede Sterling catching him around the ankle. So Monreal deliberately pushing Sterling and tripping him was under the laws of the game foul play .Even 40 years ago that was the case although refs were more lenient back then . ‘Rambo bundled the City GK over with a shove in the back and that also was a foul although refs years back did not see goalis as being a protected species . There was a lot of desperation about our play in the game with it being obvious that City were far superior to our lot .How many goals has Sanchez scored in the Prem this season >? More idiotic management by Wenger in forcing the sullen faced Chilean to stay. This approach with want away players never works .It ‘s Wenger’s management or lack of it that we need to keep pointing out and not try to back him up by buying his excuses .If the Sterling incident had been at the other end and one of our players was involved Wenger would have expected a penalty and rightly so. The man is a complete charlatan who has done irreparably damage to his own legacy due to his arrogance and greed.. He has always been a liar and cheated on his wife so he is not by any means the paragon of virtue and ‘values’ that he makes himself out to be.

  4. Chairman Gallant says:

If every contact between a striker and a chasing defender should be a penalty, then its time football ceases to be a man’s game .Arsene Wenger is right, that was a dive but by another name. In our match with Watford, Danny Welbeck was pushed to the ground, and up till now, he is still out injured, but no penalty was given. The issue here is that Premiership refs are too inconsistent with their officiating.

  5. Tommy gunn says:

I thought i was going mad. Was i the only one that could hear this ex-gooner and clubman alan smith everytime.
He consistently favors the other team against arsenal, his commentary is biase without reason.
Is he another bitter ex player who doesnt like being excluded by Wenger? Arsene does right to keep the likes of smith, keown, sol, wrighty, away from our club. Cant stand listening to alan smith anymore i watch the games on sky with talksport xommentary

    rico
The same overpaid fools who claim the Club is punching above its weight?

If the Club had proper football plan in place, orchestrated by people with actually a clue, the Club would not have to be punching above its weight. For a statement like that to be made publicly is a cop out.

  7. Obi says:

Scott, now day I watch Arsenal games on DVR, because I can’t be bother scheduling my activities around Arsenal anymore.

On tape, I get your point about the 21 turnovers with Sanchez and I also noticed Ramsey was horrible. However, shouldn’t good manager or a proactive manager noticed those things and sub them both off. So in actuality, Sanchez’s 21 t.o. is another indictment on AW lack of management and tactical ability. ….he’s done.

  8. ScottfromOz says:

Funny how people will criticise Wenger for his obvious failures, yet on the other hand will applaud Alexis for his.
    21.
I wonder if people have done the math.
That’s a hell of an effort in 90 minutes, a
fuck up every 4.3 minutes but it’s everybody else’s fault, to be sure.

  9. allezkev says:

Wavy, I wouldn’t worry about tempting Allegri away from Inter mate, he’s the coach of Juve…?
Like you Allegri is my No.1 choice since Pep went to City.

But I wouldn’t mind Ancelotti, no compo to pay, tried and tested in the EPL and he’d actually do some serious work on our defence.

    Morning Rico, good post.

  10. gnarleygeorge9 says:

The Arsenal is littered with overpaid underachievers. Fact!!! And the lame duck majority shareholder that married the Walmart shiela doesn’t have the will in him to change things coz he has no bloody idea what makes a champion football club tick.

  11. allezkev says:

I can recall Tony Adams, Steve Bould, Martin Keown, Lee Dixon, David Seaman, Ian Wright, bawling team mates out, but nobody sulked in those days because they had character.
And nobody refused to pass to a team mate.
    Unacceptable in my opinion.

But systematic of how soft we’ve become and how we have an ever so sensitive bunch of underachievers in the squad.

I see nobody has criticised Ozil for telling team mates to fcuk off?

  12. rico says:

    Morning Kev, thanks.

I’d love Allegri but getting him from Juve might be a too difficult task for our pathetic board. Ancelotti would be good and see where he takes us…

  13. ScottfromOz says:

    Obi,
You won’t see me disagree on that count.
In fact, id go a step further-I blame Wenger for keeping a guy at the club who doesn’t want to be there.

  14. Wavy says:

I’m with GG the video ref should sort out all these game changing moments and put an end to the spats that occur on here and elsewhere! However, I don’t think it was a pen either. When was shoulder to shoulder a foul?

Anyhow to the post. I’m not sure that I agree with you Rico in your assessment of Smudger. He may not have been as good as his successor Wrighty’s but he was far better than a journeyman cf. he scored many good goals some very important, some cup winning goals. Perhaps he wasn’t the most athletic of players but he made up for his lack of pace by making very intelligent runs that either helped other players to find him in space so he could ‘have a go’. Also, so far as I’m aware he never went into management or coaching, he was far more savvy than that! He went into journalism because, surprisingly he is/was literate. A graduate from Leicester or was it Warwick university, he played for Nuneaton until he’d graduated and then joined Leicester and subsequently us. At the end of his prematurely ended career, he wrote by lines for several of the dailys. Notoriously, if memory serves me, he wrote a piece about the Arsenal that upset the manager! Who then barred him from the training ground! Perhaps that’s why he is less than effusive about the Arsenal team’s performances. Revenge can be an ongoing cold dish! I agree he got Sunday’s offside call completely wrong, for which, really he should apologise, but you can perhaps see why he wouldn’t. ?
For the most part I find his remarks about Arsenal and their performances, largely measured and reasonable. At least he doesn’t rant!

Just to return to yesterday’s post, I wrote the following but it was last item after the ,”new post up” message! I’d hate not to get my sixpenneth in! (Even if nobody reads it!)

    Wenger out!
The question is who will replace him? Who is available? Koeman ? Pardew? Bilic? McClaren? Look abroad, Allegri? Why would he leave Inter? Jardim? Who doesn’t want to live in Monaco? Simeone? Cheated to get Beckham sent off, I’ve never forgiven him! He has no English so he’d find the job very difficult, imo. Ancelotti? Yes, I’d have him and he may be happy to come to Arsenal, but he too is not in the first flush of youth!
The Board however, due a lack of understanding, well total ignorance where football is concerned, would probably look at Chris Wilder (Sheffield Utd) or some other moderately successful lower division, cheap manager!
Or perhaps they find somebody languishing in Wenger’s sheltered accomodation, care home whom they can employ for, not a lot of notes!
The whole mismanaged mess has and is still at the door of Wenger! Will he go at the end of this year? Sorry to disappoint but I don’t think so. He’s never not fulfilled a contract and I can’t see him doing so now. The Board are totally inept they don’t have the gumption to act. They are frightened of anything unknown. So Wenger stays…….more mayhem and failure! But I bet the money will continue to roll in and so the status quo will remain, at least until the end of next season!

Morning all. What a grey day it is today!

  15. rico says:

I saw that from Ozil Kev, thought it was the ref he was having a go at. Clearly not…

I bet the pair of them can’t wait to get away…

  16. ScottfromOz says:

Herb, if you can show me where Ramsey actually tried “pulled rank” then I’d have a question to answer, but until then,
your question is just a hypothetical.
It was our Chilean sook who pulled rank but what gives him the right?
    He’s not the captain.
He’s not a leader of the squad.
    He’s our 21 mistakes a game man.

  17. ScottfromOz says:

    Kev, you miss my point.
I couldn’t care less if Alexis tells teammates to fuck off, but on the back of making so many errors, what right has he got to do it???
    He showed his petulance again,
And highlighted the fact he’s in it for himself.
    Well, that’s what I believe.

  18. allezkev says:

We’ve got some tasty old fixtures in December, so that could be the precursor to an interesting January at all levels.

Some of the players were being linked to remind me very much of the Kiwomya, Hartson, Helder period – just a thought.

    Panic buys, desperation?

But in truth, if Kroenke has decided to back Wenger with a 2 year deal, he isn’t going to pull the carpet is he, it’s just not in his nature…

  19. micko says:

Wavy, and only booked once in his career, the 1993 fa cup final replay against Sheffield Wednesday at Wembley, I don’t hold any grudges against Smudger either.

  20. Herb's Army says:

Without Sanchez for the last couple of seasons, Arsenal would probably have been mid-table.
    He’s not Captain?
When did Arsenal last have a proper Captain? Certainly not since the stadium move.
Sanchez played under Pep at Barcelona which immediately ranks above anything Ramsey has achieved, plus he’s a winner at International level with Chile, in a tournament that includes Brazil and Argentina.
That too pulls rank on Ramsey.
So he doesn’t want to play for the current Arsenal set-up. Who can blame him!

  21. allezkev says:

No Scott, I got your point, it’s just that I see things differently.

Alexis is a quality player, a player who makes the difference that’s why you allow him more latitude, Ramsey can be a game changer, but he isn’t up to the level of Alexis.

It’s up to Wenger to manage the situation, it’s up to him to give th3 captaincy and responsibility to a strong character on field, but he’s afraid it seems to do that in case that strong character challenges his authority.

  22. rico says:

It’s just the two years which gives me hope Kev. If it’d been three then I’d I say he’s he to stay for a while yet…

Micko, ok ok, I give in. Sorry Smudger… 😉

  23. micko says:

Before he went on strike wasn’t Nicolas Anelka treated like a dog by Marc Overmars, he only had eyes for Dennis Bergkamp apparently, I probably wouldn’t pass the ball to Ramsey either !

  24. Lee says:

I know they play in different positions but facts are facts….

    Sanchez:
    Games 111
    Goals. 54
    Assists 24

    Ramsey:
    220
    32
    35

Man up Ramsey, another player that is a reflection of our very own French Mr Barraclough

  25. Lee says:

Micko, our very own Thierry was a stroppy sulking fucker no?

Ramsey is nowhere near Sanchez’s level and like Micko fuck passing to the Hollywood pass expert!

  26. rico says:

Perhaps the reason Alexis loses the ball is down to the lack of movement from other players so he has no pass to make.. And lets not forget, he often has more than one player marking him as other managers know what a threat he is…

  27. Adam says:

I can’t see how a video ref would make any difference to Sunday’s penalty. Judging by the varying views on here, it would be just another opinion surely.

  28. potter says:

Interesting that we see things differently Jeff but reach the same conclusion that ” It was a penalty “. The dangling foot has been around since Francis Lee and probably prior to that. Pires did it as we have been reminded so often when this subject comes up .It’s now an accepted move and I am sure that it’s taught from an early age.
As for Ramsey and his shove clearly not a shoulder barge , clearly a foul , lucky not to have got a yellow.
Would Wenger have wanted a penalty ? Yes , but as we hardly ever run at speed into the area we are unlikely to get one.

  29. micko says:

Lee, in fairness to Number 21 he probably let everyone down when he made the decision not to take up Welsh lessons when he joined the club !

  30. jeff wright says:

just had another look at the Monreal -Sterling tete a tete and from what i can see of it Monreal starts with a shoulder charge ,these are usually outside the goal area given as fouls by refs these days , but then the Spaniard leans onto Sterling and pushes him over while wrapping a foot around his ankle ! Sterling is not known for being a diver and Wenger tried to sign him in January but Sterling did not want to know. Perhaps that helped to influence the old man of Alsace’s view .Anyway as I said on here before Wenger can’t complain really about these penalty calls after all he was the one who when he introduced what he called ‘forensic evidence’ in the Eduardo diving ban appeal that showed a slight contact with diving Eddy’s ankle by the Scottish GK’s glove Wenger won the appeal and this ensured that the diving would go on. As for Wellbeck he’s another terrible signing by Wenger . I recall the crowd outside the Emirates cheering when it was announced that Sky had got it wrong by claiming that he had been signed by Arsenal . Ivan the liar came out and denied it . Later though it transpired that in fact the United reject had signed for us this made the supporters who had cheered the news that he had not been look rather confused. They were right though the first time it would have been better if he had not been signed .Just more money wasted by Wenger.

  31. potter says:

Maybe he did and as only about 15% of people from Ramsey’s part of Wales do speak it , they don’t understand each other.

  32. micko says:

rico 1156, isn’t that one of the main reasons we bought Ozil in, turns out Alexis has to make them and score them himself ! The one saving grace, we’ll only have to put up with him for another 2 months !

  33. Lee says:

Yeah Micko can’t wait to see the back of the hard working, assisting, goal scoring, diving, miss-passing tosser….. I’m sure Wenger’s been grafting on a master plan to replace him!!
I suppose it’ll give Ramsey and Ozil an opportunity to pick up the slack and no one will get the hump when they get shouted at! Ah bless their cotton socks, each and everyone of these pampered Wenger assembled bottlers!!
The team reflects Wenger and has done for ages….

  34. rico says:

I actually hope Alexis gets his move in January because then we’ll see how bad we are without him…

Fekir apparently Lee, he’s the one to arrive and dampen the disappointment of Alexis leaving…

  35. ScottfromOz says:

Aahhh, the days of us winning the League regularly will leave with Alexis 🙂
We will just all agree to disagree, but why so many can’t argue the actual point is strange-I can’t remember once saying Ramsey is playing well or in the right when it comes to this situation, yet plenty seem to be making the discussion a comparison of him v Sanchez-im not sure what the relevance is but so be it.
I said a few years ago on here that the Video red made viewers sit and wait, only to come up with a decision half agreed with, and half didn’t, so what’s the point?
On offsides and goal line clearances it’s great but on most things, it’s a waste of time, literally, but most wanted it when it was mooted at the time.
After having it here in League for years now,
It’s the most onpopular part of the game, now.

  36. ScottfromOz says:

What has changed for the better since Alexis arrived at the club, guys?
Our football is dull and getting worse.
We still finish 4th at best.
We’ve won a few FA Cups-great, but not what we aspire to.
    Squad harmony is hardly great.
Fans are at each other’s throats.
Now I can’t put any of this squarely at the feet of Alexis, but the problems we have are a hell of a lot bigger than him, so whether he’s played for Pep or not hardly matters, and nor does his International success because If it did, keeping in mind we have a few World Cup winners in the squad, we’d be having much more success.
Will it really matter if he stays or goes, because the impact of he and Ozil hasn’t been what any of us would have hoped for and again, that’s not down to them.
We keep buying one off top class players when 3-4 (or more) are needed at any one time.

  37. jeff wright says:

Scott you make some good points regarding Sanchez deja vu Ozil . Personally I never thought that our squad was strong enough for just a couple of marquee signings to turn it into being a league or euro champions one. Also I was never convinced that Ozil is that great anyway and Sanchez was replaced at Barcelona by the player that Wenger could have signed – if he were more ambitious ,Suarez. So a few things mixed in with the Ozil and Sanchez signings that do not add up to marriages made in heaven so to speak. I also believe that the intrepid glum duo were signed to placate disgruntled supporters and not to build a new squad around. Then of course there is the perennial loser monsieur know it all Wenger to add to the equation .Until that clown goes it’s pointless to expect anything to change for the better. In fact it’s obvious that they are getting worse under his fractious weak management .

  38. Le Coq Monster says:

    Evening all and thanks Rico.

Whilst you lot have been tearing your hair out with frustration I have invented the the best apple pie ever through experiamenting with every form of mathematics, potions, wizardry and the karma sutra !……………I`ve cracked it and it will be worth a slight diversion from the A30 the next time any of you are in Cornwall. hahahaha

Not bothered about Alan Smith as like Wavy there`s a few important goals he scored……….two if I remember rightly and lets also remember he souds like he`s a brummie so can be forgiven for having a charisma bypass……….even an ugly woman would turn down sex with Brad Pitt if he opened his mouth and spoke like a brummie !.

I think we can safely say that no body wants Wenger to stay nowadays, so you are missing a very important point !……………………….there`s a certain bastard who keeps him on and it aint Gazidis !………………………………..actually, Wengers brain fart in the TW will now probably get him nearer to the sack as by losing out on all the transfer money and letting his two star players leave for nothing and have to replace them by spending zillions will push Kroenke over the edge………………….Niagara Falls would be nice……………….club losing money !

Simeone for me, but you know that and I dont care what he did to Simple Spice and that he doesn`t speak English as it sounds more threatening if he speaks angrily in Argentinian……………………a snarling hello could come across that he wants to bang your wife and mother !……………………………..

  39. jeff wright says:

Rico, it looks to me that Sanchez, who looks even more surly this season, has given up just one league goal so far and he keeps getting caught in possession losing the ball in dangerous areas by dawdling around. So for me he is now a liability. Although I do take your point on regarding that any Sanchez is better than no Sanchez because we don’t have a replacement for him.Overall though Wenger needs to get this sorted, not that old clueless he will do so of course .

  40. frednerk says:

    Evening Rico and All
Reading some of stuff it’s clear
not that many have seen our great
ex-players perform live and off camera.
    Wrighty..Mona lisa
    Henry..Billy Big Bananas
    Big Tone…Barking Mad
What would be like if we could get
    a bit of that.
Arsene tells us before the City game
Sanchez is now ready for the season,
    november..Effing november.
    What a load of Frogs-arse.

I said at the beginning of the season
as much as Sanchez is our best player
we should have sold him,he couldn’t give
a monkeys about The Arsenal and thats plain
    to see.

This has got to be some sort of protest from
    Arsene…Or is it
Maybe he has gone Compleatly Mad…Nurse

  41. Adam says:

Evening Rico. Agreed and more and more Arsenal people that I know are saying they hope we’re in the end-game of Arsene’s reign now.

  42. ScottfromOz says:

I do get that, Rico, and there’s no doubt we are better for having him but really, until we have 4-5 absolute top drawer players, it’s nearly impossible for us to compete with City.
I’d just like the see the guy encourage others rather than talk to them like they’re shit.
Maybe he thought we were better than we actually were on joining us.
Anyway, Nothing changes until changes are made at the top.

  43. Lee says:

Has the loser fucked off yet? I cannot wait until a new manager comes in and sorts out Wenger’s monumental fuck ups! The infrastructure is definitely in place it’s just being badly utilised by an egotistical megalomaniac….
I hope your premonition about him leaving in the summer occurs Rico.

  44. Le Coq Monster says:

    Morning all.

Two rumours, one good and one bad…………………..although both could be bad to some on here…………………………good one…………Ozil has aparrently bought a new house in London, although there are what ? some 14 clubs in London !………………………………..bad one……………………..Everton`s top target is ……….Simeone !………………..just an opinion though on whether good or bad !

    Is Kroenke still breathing ?

  45. rico says:

Hopefully Ozil has bought his house near Fulham or Crystal Palace Lc… ?

Can’t see Simeone at Everton personally but who knows…

  46. Le Coq Monster says:

Also, rumour has it Ozil wants Jacks number 10 shirt as part of any deal as it aparrently boosts his money making brand !

  47. potter says:

We will get flooding here soon , more houses , more roads , more concrete , high river levels nowhere for the water to go . All we need now is a surge tide with high winds and it’s water wings all round.

  48. Le Coq Monster says:

This was the post, Potter…………………………….”Who will Arsenal’s next manager be and what we can learn from Moyes?”……………………………..and my comment which is still in moderation was….

“A Wenger clone is all we need !………………………..interesting that Wenger`s average spend is lower than his annual salary !………….what am I insinuating who know`s ?

    🙂

  49. jeff wright says:

The hapless French centre – back Keystone Kos, who swapped his shorts with David Silva after helping the Spaniards team to win 3-1 on Sunday, says he will retire from international football, adding that ‘everything must end’… true apart that is from Wenger managing Arsenal … yawn…

  50. Lee says:

LC who is to say our next manager will turn out bad?? There’s a lot of managers out there that could do a much better job than Wenger….I mean leaving Launderette on the bench v the dippers & city?!?!

    Fucking moron…

  51. Le Coq Monster says:

Quite possibly Lee, but I just dont want a Wenger clone and who`s to say Kroenke isn`t secretly trying to clone Wenger underneath his £500M ranch ?……hahaha

I`d like to say I was perplexed by Wenger leaving Laca” on the bench , but nothing he does surprises me any more, just expect more head scratching decissions to come !

  52. Le Coq Monster says:

Keystone cop stuff…………………fitting that in the past of silent movies we now have Silent Stan and have gone from Herbert Chapman to Charlie Chaplin as manager and the Marx Brothers as a board !

  53. potter says:

That won’t get posted , however his salary only exceeds the average cost of a player. Their chart however points out a few things to me firstly in the unspecified time period he has purchased more players (98 ) which suggests that he he doesnt target his needs as opposed to his rivals Guardiola (40 )or even Mourinho ( 90 )

  54. Le Coq Monster says:

Hahaha………………maybe they wont see the sarcasm and think I actually meant a Wenger clone is all we need !

Also very misleading saying he has spent a lot as his is the lowest per player spent on the list !………………..Pep has spent twice as much per player………..he buys quality and thats reflected in the trophies he has won, you wont win trophies shopping at LIDL`s !

  55. allezkev says:

Guardiola probably sees Wenger as an old guy who he respects and likes personally, who is now out of touch with modern methods and is reactive rather than proactive, but who he doesn’t fear or even consider from a football perspective.

Mourinho see Wenger as a bullshitter, much like himself, but someone who still has in general the respect of the football world, unlike himself and that has eaten away at him since he originally arrived in England.

  56. allezkev says:

There’s a guy sitting in a white van on the other side of road, that’s not you Cocker is it?

  58. Le Coq Monster says:

I reckon Pep doesn`t give a toss about any manager as a rival, not with the spending power he has access to, which compliments his ability as a great coach, perfect match !.

Regarding Kos prolonging his career at AFC you are probably right Rico .After his horror show in the Euro Final that cost les blues the chance of winning it in Paris perhaps the pressure is on Kos from the French supporters as well .With them now realising that Kos is not the world class player that a certain French TV pundit, whose day time job is managing Arsenal FC, told them that he was. The old fraud once tried to get Almunia to play for England ! Having Joe Hart is bad enough .Speaking of Internationals this current break really is just one big yawn inducing exercise in futility. It gives Poch though a chance to rest Kane and Winks for the real game. No doubt Sanche will be off jetting away to the far sides of the Earth and return too tired to play. Not that it helps much when he does do.

  60. rico says:

His form has really dipped Jeff. Maybe though it’s just a case of being all too comfortable at the club..

Yes, I noticed Poch has withdrawn a few, other clubs too apart from us..

  61. Wavy says:

Don’t think Pep worries about any other manager, least of all our beloved old wrinkly out of touch one! The poison dwarf on the other hand having spent years traducing Wenger’s reputation, ability and longevity has now knocked it on the head! Even he sees there is no need to comment on the old has been because, mr moron knows Wenger has lost it and poses no opposition to him or his team anymore. So where would be the point? Apart from which I’m fairly sure he’s been told to shut up by the manure board, ‘cos he ain’t no red nose! Nor even his clone!

As for Kos. He was never that marvellous but for years he has been our best defender! Says a lot that doesn’t it? Wenger’s choice of defenders, since the glory days, has been woeful. And that’s all down to his poor judgement and a highly inefficient scouting system. The scouts are also down to him! He’s let things slip and slide for years. That’s what happens when you want to do ALL the jobs, you become master of none! And poor at them all! I bet he can’t even make a decent cup of tea!

Morning all. Azure skies here could be on the piste in Val d’Isere! Lovely?

  62. kelsey says:

Cockie, Ozil bought that house months ago off Heath Street in Hampstead in an area called Frognal. So Ramsey and Sanchez don’t get on and on Sunday Ramsey told Sanchez more than once to eff off and Bellerin now that Barca seem to want him is also throwing his weight around and that’s all we know of, so there is unrest in the dressing room and AW can’t control it.Shearer and Cole hated each other for years when they were at United but the difference was that they didn’t let that affect their on pitch performance.
Now ozil who no one has made an official bid for since last Summer, and is reported to be on 150K a week (but I think it’s a bit lower) wants Jack’s number 10 shirt and at the same time wants Jack to stay.
    Turncoat. Oh Good Morning.

  63. Le Coq Monster says:

Heath Street Hampstead, Kelsey !…………………………….any councill, social or affordable housing there ?

    🙂

Is Ozil going to want to move to lovely Manchester from Slummy Hampstead ?………………………rains more in Manchester than it does where Wavy lives !

    🙂

  64. allezkev says:

I guessed it was you Cocker, the foreign number plates gave it away…

Was you impressed with the way I made my third cup of tea?
It’s takes years of practice, my body is a temple.
    Or something like that… ?

  65. Wavy says:

Do you have to squeeze out the pustules if you have wengeritis?

    How deeply unpleasant.

LC, I’ll have you know where I have my mission it is almost as dry per annum as Potter’s domain! It just that it’s not so sunny! Gloomy the East Midlands, I have to say.

All this falling out in the dressing room! You’d think a competent manager would remove the offending articles and sell them all. That’d show them who’s boss! Wenger won’t do that because he would upset so many of his favourites he’d have no first teamers left!

    Still sunny here!

  66. Le Coq Monster says:

Third cuppa Kev !…….the hattrick !………….did you slide along the tarmac on your knees and acidently headbutt an Uber driver in the jacobs ?
    🙂

Girl at work who`s a top club runner is always going on about her body being her temple, does meditation and stuff………not very christain like though as she wont let me into her temple to pray !………….said I`d even take my own hassock ! hahaha

  67. rico says:

Wavy, perhaps if Wenger removed himself, there’d be no changing room fallouts…

Funny though, Wenger said this is most together squad… pfff,
