Only one way to stop Santi Corzorla as Hammers hammered…..

Morning Gooners.

Doesn’t it make you just laugh, the so called ‘expert pundits’ on ESPN start discussing what is ahead for the day and the presenter can’t even pronounce the name of our little Spaniard.

Santi Corzola he called him, how ignorant is that? I sat there telling the television, it’s CAZORLA, it’s b****y CAZORLA!!! (yes I did feel foolish after)

Anyway…..

Two changes from last weekend for yesterday’s fixture against West Ham which meant most of us got what we hoped for. Mertesacker and Giroud came in, giving us a bit more height and both ends.

We lined up:

Mannone Jenkinson Mertesacker Vermaelen Gibbs Gervinho Ramsey Arteta Cazorla Podolski Giroud

On the bench:

Martinez Koscielny Santos Coquelin Oxlade-Chamberlain Walcott Arshavin

Bearing in mind our injury list has grown recently, that wasn’t a bad first eleven and the bench was pretty strong too, but would it be enough to stop Big Sam and his hoof ball tactics?

We came out of the blocks well and it wasn’t long before Podolski had our first chance from just outside the box which went wide. Olivier Giroud then forced a save from Jaaskelainen and from the resulting corner, Carroll cleared.

Santi Cazorla was the next to pop up with a shot which Reid blocked and from another corner; Carroll again headed away the danger.

Thomas Vermaelen was deemed to have tackled Carroll unfairly and from the resulting free kick, he made up for his naughtiness by clearing the cross from Noble.

We went onto earn yet another corner, Collins cleared for another, which Cazorla again crossed, this time Giroud got on the end of it but Carroll got in the way and blocked it.

Then from pretty much nothing, West Ham went 1-0 up. Ramsey was passed with ease by Diame just outside the penalty area and Merts was a bit too slow getting between the West ham player and the goal. Mannone had everything covered bar the top right hand corner, the very place where the ball ended up. Credit where it’s due, it was a top quality finish.

Diame went into the book for celebrating with his own fans….

Ramsey saw his shot go wide and just after, Diame, already on a yellow card, committed a late tackle on Arteta – how he didn’t see red I am not sure.

Ah, it was Dowd!!

Giroud had a chance to equalise when Giroud just failed to connect with Per Mertesacker’s flicked header through the six-yard box.

Reid was next in the book after hacking down Santi – that was the only way they could stop him yesterday, he was here, there and everywhere and West Ham had no answer.

Then, just as half-time looked likely to come and go with us having a one goal deficit, we struck.

Podolski had possession on the left and supplied an inch perfect cross for Giroud, who had burst into the box, to blast home from close range.

A truly well deserved goal! And he broke his duck one game earlier than the great Thierry Henry.

We had a couple more corners which came to nothing. 1-1 and the half time whistle blew.

Soon into the second half and Cazorla was fouled again, this time by Kevin Nolan then shortly after, Wenger made his first change, one which was forced as Gibbs appeared to have picked up an injury.

West Ham have another chance but just as all the rest during the remainder of the match, it was off target, this one from Nolan went flying over the bar.

Just before the hour mark and earlier than usual, Wenger made the second change of the afternoon. Gervinho, who had been pretty awful all game, was replaced by Theo Walcott. No doubt there were others like me, who wondered which TH14 we would see on the pitch.

The next change was made by the home side, Vaz Te had just been through on goal but Mannone came out and saved well before the player got there. Instead of jumping over our Italian Stallion, he followed through with his leg and gave Mannone a kick around the back of his head. No foul, no yellow card, yet again. Maybe justice was done though when he fell awkwardly and dislocated his shoulder. Matthew Taylor came on in his place.

Cazorla was next up with a shot, unfortunately Walcott got in the way and blocked it, Giroud saw another chance go wide and then down the other end Carroll fluffed his header.

Olivier Giroud had an effort from just inside the box which went wide and Kevin Nolan saw his chance go over the bar!

Santi had another shot blocked, Podolski forced a save from Jaaskelainen and then yet another corner found the head of Carroll! A couple more corners from us followed but again, they came to nothing.

Then it came, and what a goal it was too. After a great ball from Giroud into the path of Walcott, Theo carried on into the box and slotted the ball just inside the near post and passed a helpless, diving Jaaskelainen!  2-1…..

Like Diame earlier in the match, Walcott was booked for celebrating with the fans, mind you, the whole team could have been booked, they were all there with him.

Nolan again went close, but not close enough.

More corners for us, more shots, this time by Mertesacker and Giroud but again, nothing came of them.

Diame was replaced by replaced by Carlton Cole as West Ham went in search of an equaliser but unlucky for them, we were the ones to score another goal, the final goal of the game and what a stunner it was and so so well deserved.

Santi Cazorla had an outstanding game, as said earlier, West Ham didn’t have a clue how to play against him, he simply was sublime and his finish was as good as his performance.

Walcott had the ball outside the penalty area and just as it looked like he’d lost it, he nicked the ball back and played it to the little Spaniard who rifled the ball into the top right hand corner.

Stunning!

The final change for us was Koscielny on for Podolski…..

It was over, we played the ball around the park for fun as the Ole’s were heard loud and proud from the away fans who again, had been superb.

Just as the result was…….

3-1 to the good guys…..

Now it’s the International break, so let’s just pray for no injuries and a few of our already injured will be fit and ready to return when we head off up to face Norwich…..

Have a good day all……

arsenal are more efficient & proffessional than they have ever been…notice how we have conceeded in the 20th minute two weekends running,& have chased the game in three games.had we scored 1st v city & chelsea, the result would surely have been more favourable.but, spare a thought on how we are making a habbit of scoring just before halftime, its now three games on the spin including vs olympiakos

  2. rico says:

    Morning all…

Still smiling after such a great result? I am….

Now England ladies need to beat the Aussies 🙂

  3. eastsidepaul says:

I say every club worth mentioning are kicking themselves for letting Cazorla go to Arsenal! I heard an ESPN commentator refer to 16.7m as a hefty fee! Really?!

How much did liverpool spend on the likes of Henderson, Carroll and Downing?!

How much have united paid for Nani, Carrick, Anderson, hargreaves?

16.7m is nothing for a player like Cazorla, what a player!

Good result yesterday, still feel we are one or two players light. But we are certainly moving in the right direction! How long did it take to finally notice that the youth policy wasn’t working!

Wasn’t very impressed with TV5 storming forward when we were 2-1 up in the last few minutes of the game. Would like to see that type of thing cut out, Jenks played fantastic also, so too Merts.

    Any word on Gibbs?
    Or Diaby?
    Or our #1
    Or… our RB
    … Or … anyone else I’m forgetting?!

  4. Mohd Isa says:

In the West Ham game,Arsenal had many corners and were unable to score .This is unacceptable. We have seen teams score from corner kicks. Why can’t Arsenal do it?
It seems Wenger wants to score spectacular goals which could be a problem playing the top teams.

  5. Potter says:

Actually there is a case for Cathorla being the Castillian pronunciation of the name. As the letter Z being TH is common in some areas of Spain. Perhaps in the next question and answer session could clear that up.

Anyway such mere peccadilloes should not get us away from yesterday’s performance , it would have been easy to roll over but the new players are coming to the party and the team is gelling, dark horses for something I reckon,

  6. rico says:

I must have blinked Esp, didn’t see Tv bombing up the pitch..

On the injury front, I suspect Diaby, Gibbs, Jack and Frimps will all be ready after the international break…

  7. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

    Good morning,

    wtc good observations.

This could have been the longest 2 weeks of gunners lives had lost.

It was good to see that 10 of out 11 starters turning up unlike last weekend. This was summed up nicely by Ben Findon in his match report for The Telegraph.

‘Sheer class ultimately told for Arsenal, thanks to the coolest finish you could wish to see from Theo Walcott and a magnificent long-range strike from the outstanding Santi Cazorla.’

This match in a way has convinced me that we need a Frimps or Capoue asap in the midfield if AW thinks none of the youngsters are ready.

The ease at which Diame sliced through our midfield worried me after re-watching most of the match ( I know I am sad. lol)

  8. rico says:

MI, I don’t think that will be the case most weeks, yesterday Carroll just defended well, how many other sides have a player like him to defend corners?

Potter, it should be pronounced with the TH, and the commentator during the actual game got it right. You can kind of forgive Cazorla, as not all brits know Spanish, by Corzola, that is just ignorant!

  9. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

ESp, did you notice the ‘handshake’ after the match? lol

Fat Sam pretending to now like AW….

  10. rico says:

    Morning Tsgh –

You know my view on a Capoue or similar.

I also believe we still lack depth between the sticks…

Seems TW has made it very clear he wants to stay…..

Cazorla – hefty price, what a joke, still, guess Andy Carroll justified his £25M price tag yesterday 😉

  11. rico says:

Hi Scott, they are, unless they suddenly drop a few wickets, this will be a breeze…

    Oops – one down 😉

  12. rico says:

Another thing I liked yesterday and I know it didn’t come off but TWs path was blocked so he tried a little back flick. A bit less weight and Giroud would have been in….

  13. ktr7 says:

Good read as always.West ham have become quite the long ball team.it was more hit and hope for them.despite the commentators waxing lyrical about Caroll he is quite poor at everything else bar aerial balls.Giroud was much better than him.

  14. Scott from Oz says:

    KT,credit where it’s due though.
Carroll is a player of limited ablity, imo, yet makes the most of it when in a side set up to play a style that suits him.
    He worked very hard.

  15. rico says:

Hi Kt, good to see you back…

But that happens Scott, as do things like Arteta and Santi getting in each others way….

I missed the tackle on Ramsey in the post too, should have been a free kick right on the edge of the box…

  16. Scott from Oz says:

Dowd pisses me off because every time he makes a decision,he props, struts then theatrically blows his whistle.
Referee the bloody game and stop paying up to the crowd!!!
    Oh,and be fair,you arsehole!!

  17. eastsidepaul says:

I thought AW didn’t shake hands at first, but then saw the tunnel shot!

I saw TV bombing up, I was screaming at tele “get back!!” I always keep an eye out for him wandering up the pitch, he does get back in time usually though.

Per was solid yesterday, was on the edge of my seat when I saw him go down after that tackle!

  18. Scott from Oz says:

Rico,it was definitely a free kick to Ramsey, but it was also one i could understand the ref missing,to be fair.
I wasn’t as harsh in my judgement as some were.

  19. rico says:

I think we are being harsh on Carroll, he’s not a bad player, he’s just not worth £25m

He did really well defending our set-pieces, and on another day, he would have buried that chance he had. Don’t forget, he’s been out injured a long time….

Bet your bottom dollar Rodgers wishes he had Carroll sat on the bench each week now….

  20. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

Anyone read the sunday papers yet? Interesting comments on Cashley and Tom Terry.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/9590947/Chelseas-Toxic-Twins-John-Terry-and-Ashley-Cole-are-an-embarrassment-to-the-game-and-their-peers.html

Also, I am now a convert to the believe of the need for a beast or a bull dog in the middle of the park.

On another observation, it seems that all of our wingers from last season dislike playing on the flanks or are struggling there.

Gerv has had poor games this season playing on the wing, TW wants to play as a striker and the Ox wants to play as a CM and has struggled on the wings lately.

  21. eastsidepaul says:

Scott what particularly gets me about Dowd is when he mades a decision (Like not rewarding us a penalty), he screams, as if he is Leonidas from 300!

  22. rico says:

Ditto re Dowd Scott, fancy directing a scowl at Sam from the half way across the pitch, what a plank!

So did I Esp, thank goodness he carried on. Maybe that knock will resurrect itself today, just to keep him out of the Germany squad.. 😉

  23. rico says:

Tsgh – shame the courts won’t go for a re-trial!

Terry/Cole should never be allowed to represent England again! In fact they shouldn’t even be allowed to play for their club.

  24. Scott from Oz says:

In ANY sporting event, the best performances from a referee are those where the official isn’t noticed.
Why some of these guys want to be in the spotlight is bend me.

  25. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

Well Scott on Dowd, he would not even pass the fitness test for track drivers if there is one. 😀

He does not even keep up with play.I noticed he spent most of his time in our half especially in the 2nd half because he couldn’t be bothered running to and fro as whenever we lost the ball WHU hoofed the ball to Carroll.

  26. ktr7 says:

Is there a player more comfortable with either foot than Cazorla?…the speed at which he shuffles the ball between his feet is crazy really.Iniesta regularly does that too.Iniesta is my favourite player in the world but Santi is catching up.its quite a good feeling to know that our rivals are jealous of us having him.

  27. rico says:

Tsgh – i didn’t pass his fitness test to be a ref first time around in the summer, goodness know how he passed a second one…

  28. rico says:

What I love about him too Kt is he plays with a smile, it’s so clear to see how happy he is with us.. Just love the little man…

  29. eastsidepaul says:

    Ha its a qualifier!
Sure we will see what happens, a new man in charge would be nice! Trap hasn’t a clue i’m afraid!

  30. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

Gerv did play on the wings…

I am referring to his 2 wing appearances since he has been moved to the strikers position. He had some sort of strap on his right hamstring that may explain his very poor performance yesterday.

Or maybe he has played too many matches and fatigue is catching up to him. 2 x 90 min matches on international break a month ago in Africa plus all the matches he has played thus far.

  31. rico says:

Maybe you need Sam Allardyce esp 😉

Could be any of those things Tsgh or it could be he is sulking and showing a bad attitude.

After all, that’s what some choose to think about TW14 when he has an off day 😉

  32. ktr7 says:

I loved the 2nd goal yesterday.when west ham’s attack broke down it took 2 passes and a matter of seconds for us to see Theo wheeling away at the other end after his excellent finish.it was a throwback to the days of Vieira-Bergkamp-Henry…BANG!in seconds.we have scored several counters this season.despite us having lots of pace intelligence is vital too in such sitiuations.

  33. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

    Possibly sulking…

With both him and TW14 up front rotating we should be fine up front so AW should now buy a bloody beast in the middle of pitch come January.

I am so desperate for one I will settle for Cattermole

  34. devilgunner says:

Good Morning my Esteemed Fellow Gunners.

    Nice positive post Lady.

One thing no one mentioned……….Theo actually LOOKED to see where Giroud was before he scored. When he saw that he was in a better position he shot the ball himself.

  35. rico says:

Ticking over nicely Scott, they are doing much better than that, I’m watching it and it’s not good….

Kt, we attacked a few times like that, just didn’t get the finish, don’t we all say that when we play at a much higher tempo we are very dangerous…. Trouble is, sometimes we don’t play that way…

  36. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all,
    good report Rico.
i hope all the doubters are happy now we have the three points. now i know West Ham are not bad but against us

  37. rico says:

Tsgh – one thing for sure, if those two are left to battle it out, it’s going to be win win and TW was on the wing but his head was in the right place yesterday.

  38. rico says:

At least Cattermole is used to the PL 😉

Morning devil and Steve, thanks re the post…

I noticed him looking up too devil but glad he didn’t pass 😉

Steve, there are still little things that need ironing out though, I suspect there always will. 2 players in Jan and we could finally have a good second half of the season 😉

  39. Scott from Oz says:

KT,great point, and its the reason why Giroud has shown plenty of promise since day one.
The goals were always going to come,as he consistently gets into great positions.

  40. ktr7 says:

We need to get Poldi even more.i feel he is isolated alot during games and he could get into goalscoring positions much more.

  41. Scott from Oz says:

We have plenty of improvement in us everywhere KT.
If everything comes together,we will be fighting for top spot in the new year.

  42. ktr7 says:

Scott even despite the misses his movement for them in the S’land/L’pool/Chelsea games was excellent.i honestly think his movement to drag defenders is very reminiscent of our former no.10.just look at Poldi’s goals at Anfield/montpellier whereby he made excellent decoy runs to allow Poldi to finish.if he develops a clinical edge he’ll score loads.

  43. rico says:

Kt, or got a connection to Merts headed flick on, he totally naffed that one up. But I suspect had that chance come after his goal, he would have scored….

  44. devilgunner says:

I guess that the Lady’s legs were all GAGA when she saw Theo come face to face with Jussi!!! 😉

She likes them both. Isn’t that so Rico???

  45. rico says:

    Certainly is right devil…. 🙂

Not sure my legs go gaga over Theo though, more of a motherly liking of the boy 😉

  46. ktr7 says:

I was intrigued to see us play with 3 at the back when West ham put Carlton Cole on which mean we always had a spareman at the back and as a result won the 2nd ball everytime.its good to see we are developing tactical varieties this season.

  47. rico says:

Be positive gdna, its the Windies year in this competition…

Don’t think Santi has a weak foot 😉

    I didn’t notice that Kt… thought we had 4 at all times…

  48. hakzah says:

    morning happy housers

what away to enter this looong international break..just what the doctor ordered…

got all what hoped for…Merts & Giroud starting
moved quicker to do our subs (Gervo) ….earlier than we usually do our changes
taking the initiative eraly in the game ..nice to see us bossing fat sam from the start.

Dowd might as well be working in the butchery up the human market place…the man is a butcher in the making !.

Merts is a starter for me,rotation has to be b/w Vermo & Kos…..
am not sure with that armband though ! tricky..

Theo might be boosted by the promise of AW to give him a chance
up front….he showed good approach to the game …i say sign up sooner young man and get on with it..
though most of his goals so far ,if not all, came from him drifting in from wider positions…so..

    and yeah…am 120euros better off … (1/3 scoreline) COYGs.

  49. ktr7 says:

When Kos came on we played a 3-5-2.a back 3 of kos/BFG/Verm with jenks/santos playing as wingbacks and Theo/Giroud uptop with santi behind them.its the same system Italy/Juve use.we outnumbered their 4 men in midfield and we outnumbered them with a 3 v 2 at the back.West ham barely had a kick when we switched to 3-5-2.

  50. rico says:

Sulky Mario Balotelli stormed down the tunnel when he was substituted by manager Roberto Mancini after just 55 minutes of Manchester City’s victory against Sunderland on Saturday.

And within hours, the 22-year-old Italian had boarded a budget airline flight from Manchester back to his homeland.

    😆

  51. rico says:

I thought TV shifted to Lb, Kos and Merts in the centre and Jenks just carried on doing what he had done all game Kt. Santos just push up onto the left of a front three…

  52. gunnerdna says:

I don’t feel sorry for Vaz Te, he almost broke Vito jaw, class less like their manager, let him sit and watch the sport, he a c**t.

  53. gunnerdna says:

I like how PHW says it rico, if AW wants…AW and spending in the same sentence? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…lol

  54. Adam says:

Hi Rico and all. Wasn’t Andy Carroll’s fee £35million, or have I missed something? As far as I can see we are about 3 players away from being very competitive.

  55. allezkev says:

Two years ago only Walcott, Arshavin, Koscielny, Vermaelen and Ramsey, would have been involved in this game.
In barely 14 months, Wenger has re-built.
    This is a new team.
    With a new coaching staff.
Done on the price of a £35m player…

  56. NashuaGunners says:

    Good Morning Rico and All.

Kev said,”Two years ago only Walcott, Arshavin, Koscielny, Vermaelen and Ramsey, would have been involved in this game.”

We all can say what we like and dislike about AW, when he is on his game, there is no one like him. I still trust and believe in him to take us forward once more to the promise land.

@gunnerdna, AW once enquired about Ozil but he chose RM. I still like him, neat player playing for scumbag.

  57. rico says:

Hi Ak, and AW has another £35M to spend in Jan…..

Hi NG, there are positions I’d like us to sign players in before Ozil…

  58. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

Hi, actually he has rebuilt a whole team by making profit whilst liverpood has spent £120 million and are lingering around mid table with the Micky Quins mickey mouse cup to shgow for it.

  59. allezkev says:

    Mancs and Spuds winning 2-0…
    Not good.
TSGH, yes mate, you are probably right about that.
I wasn’t aware of the figures tbh.
Just threw in £35m as Rico kept on about £25m, 😉

  60. rico says:

Good Ak, hope the Mancs get a few, especially you know who… but it’s Webb, so no doubt it will be a barcode….

Boo to you agag, enjoy that game yesterday??

    Thanks Tsgh…

  61. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

What was the point in PHW talking about how much we have to spend? For an old Etonian he has no brains. What he does is make Laws job very difficult when it comes to purchases.

  62. rico says:

Totally agree Tsgh – keep his mouth shut and don’t tell the world how much money we have, otherwise, ker-ching, up goes the price….

  63. Scott from Oz says:

Seems to me he wants the world to know that Wenger has money to spend, and if it’s not spent,”don’t blame the board”.
It’s a cowards act from people who are happy to take no responsibilty for things.
If the money truly is available, the oard should be adding “and Wenger will be directed to spend it” at the end of such a statement!!!
    Morning all.
    Early morning wake up!!

  64. allezkev says:

    Don’t blame PHW, blame Kroenke…

Kroenke is happy to have that idiot as the club Chairman.

And we have to suffer every time PHW opens his gob…

    Meanwhile Stan hides behind him…

  65. rico says:

Totally agree Scott, talk about set Wenger up for fan abuse if he doesn’t spend it.That little bit on the end would make all the difference. Morning to you….

I blame them both Ak, Stan is gutless and PHW should really know better….

  66. devilgunner says:

Good Afternoon my Esteemed Fellow Gunners.

Back after a fine day out. It ended up with buying the little Prince a hamster to add to our menagerie of birds and animals.

That is his second pet after a rabbit.

The hens we usually get are for the dish. 😉

  67. Joaquim Moreira says:

MU 0-3 but Newcastle had score a claer goal!
Vaz Té out yesterday, was the reference for the game changed
    Totts won again…
Balance of the League: chelsea 7 games – 6 wins and one draw. On the top five places Chelsea, Mancs, totts and everton (perhaps the Newcastle of the last year). We are 7 points behind the top…3 -3-1. .Conclusion: Although not having lost any games out, we can not lose many points, in groups of seven in seven games.

  68. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

What PHW failed to add was that what ever amount of money AW has to spend also includes the first year salary for the recruits unlike other teams who have another budget for salary.

He always seem to make this kind of comments once a month a least 3 months before the window opens to divert attention from the board.

  69. Adam says:

Webb is dishing out the decisions but Rooney is telling him what to do. Newcastle have been poor though.

  70. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

Adam, there must be a rule against such casual chatting between officials and players.

I was wondering what they were talking about?

  71. Adam says:

But Rico, you are talking about Man Utd and Howard Webb. The two go hand in glove. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Webb as ref when we play them. I was right about Atkinson showing up last week against Chelsea despite some calling me cynical when I predicted it. 🙂

  72. Adam says:

TSGH. I believ that is an extension of Untold Arsenal who have done some very interesting work on refereeing statistics. It makes it more than plain what I happening in the PL.

  73. rico says:

    I know devil 😉

gdna, lucky? nah, the Windies deserved it, not only for today but the way they have played throughout… 🙂

  74. rico says:

Why do any of us expect anything different what Webb, the only people who don’t see what is right under their nose, is the FA but then if Fergie has them in his pocket, is there any wonder?

  75. Adam says:

It isn’t in the FA’s interests to stir anything up. There is just too much money involved. Too much to lose.

  76. rico says:

I was being cheeky really Adam re the goal, of course the Manc biased commentators will say it was meant….

The cricket was really good, very cat and mouse…

  77. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

A website is already saying that we should use the alleged £35M to buy Falcao.

Tomorrow the ginger idiot on talkshite will be telling some gullible fans we should be boycotting our team because we are not spending any money on players.

What none of them will add to those statements are that without player sales (even though we all hate it) we will not break even because of our lack of commercial income

  78. rico says:

    I don’t Adam…

As for the Falcao story, what a joke that rumour is, one of the Sunday Newspapers started it didn’t they

  79. Adam says:

Oh we’ll, I am off for the evening. I have to be up at the ungodly hour of 5 am tomorrow. A hateful time. 🙂

  80. rico says:

Have a good evening Adam and an early night I hope….

5am, you might see Lee on his way to work by then 😉

  81. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

its funny how most responsible adults who call that show are so gullible and may I say stupid.

For me its just for comedy factor. I remember once, this so called season ticket holder who claimed he was so pissed off with AW that he was not going to renew his ticket this year. He however, tripped over himself when he said he was a 37 year old man who has held a season ticket for 35 years.lol. What a numpty. I bet he was paid to make that call to make the show appear credible. 😀

Hello all. Rico you have been spot on regarding the cricket today! Sri Lanka bowled well and WI did the same. Samuels innings was the standout performance and it ended up winning us the match. Good job windies.

  83. Adam says:

TSGH. It doesn’t surprise me at all.
I refuse to listen to it since Eduardo’s broken leg when they came to the conclusion that it was really his fault. To give that man the oxygen of publicity goes against everything that is right. As I said before the only way he would be of any use whatsoever is if he was boiled down into a very small jar of glue and used to stick pieces of paper together. Otherwise he is one of the least relevant things on the Earth.
    Night all.

  84. Will XL says:

i watched the second half of the match again last night. It looked a much better showing the second time around. Although that may be only because i already knew the final outcome. Santi is the best player we have had in terms of his technical ability in a while. He is just superb on both feet and it makes him so difficult to deal with. Arsenal are in a great position.

  85. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

No song again another numpty. An extra 10 grand so he left us. What his agent did not tell him was from next year he will be paying more tax in spain.

  86. rico says:

Hi Will, I thought you would enjoy that game…. Did you especially enjoy Theo’s goal 😉

    Night Adam – again 😉

  87. devilgunner says:

  88. rico says:

Guys, I am off for the day too, catch up tomorrow…

Enjoy the El Classico if you are watching, if not, just have a lovely evening..

    Night all….

  89. devilgunner says:

Fascinating stuff. We at AFC aspire to play such football.

the rest of the EPL look to Pulis and Allardyce and Brown for inspiration. lol

  90. devilgunner says:

Song got so tired of seeing Messi on TV as the only player in the planet who can spend an hour juggling the ball without anyone else touching it……even if they tried their hardest, that he went there to have a closer look from the bench. lol

  91. TalkShiteGingerHater says:

Fat Micky Quinn and his cronies claim Chelsea are playing the best football the EPL has ever seen. I bet he thinks he has a six pack too

  92. Michu says:

Chelsea are playing the best football in the Epl to be honest.
And as for carzola,he is pretty overrated,by mostly arsenal fans.
    Mata,oscar or hazard>>>> carzola.
    PS:I am a swansea fan.

  93. allezkev says:

Morning Scott, RIP should get a 3 match ban…
But Red Nose will tell the FA what they have to do, as usual, and it’ll be swept under the carpet.

  94. allezkev says:

Rico, Reading (a) League Cup, is sold out, well the Arsenal section is.
    Are you going anyway?
    I’ll be working that night I suppose…

  95. rico says:

    Morning all

Ak, not sure yet, I doubt it as would mean sitting in the wrong seats. The PL fixture has now been changed to the Monday too

Michu. wonder if you will be saying that on December 2nd….
