Mrs Sanchez the key coach. What’s your question for the AGM & Alexis sends update in a text.

Morning all.

Happy birthday to Mesut Ozil. A few goals at the weekend would be a nice way to celebrate turning 27 years old.

Alexis Sanchez has been quick to pour cold water over the rumours linking him with a return to Spain with Real Madrid. He’s been quoted in The Mirror saying:

I’m very happy at Arsenal. I don’t think about leaving. I always want to be the best at everything I do. I’m never happy with what I do, I always want to give more.

Who’s the driving force behind him away from the pitch?

My mum is always my coach. She phones me and tells me to shoot at goal more often.

Mrs Sanchez could do with telling a few more of our players to shoot more often!

Team news from the boss ahead of Saturday’s game against Watford:

Laurent Koscielny:

Koscielny has a slight chance to be back on Saturday. He has a definite test tomorrow. (Today)

Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini:

Arteta and Flamini are back in full training. We need to see how they are and how confident they are, but we can’t rule it out.

Other team news:

From the internationals we only have positive news. We are still waiting for Campbell, Alexis and Ospina to return, but they all texted back to say they are OK, so we just have to see if they were objective in their assessment.

I can’t see any of the three South American players being involved on Saturday.

Arsenal hold their AGM later today so with that in mind, what would you like to ask the owner, board or manager if you had the opportunity?

Why do the club charge so much for tickets? After all, we are the most expensive in the league and across Europe I think.

Why, when so much money is in the bank, did Arsene Wenger not sign more than just Petr Cech in the summer?

What about the money Stan Kroenke takes out of the club, would you like to know why he does? I know it’s not much but it’s money which would be better spent on players.

Why, when the club fight tooth and nail each season to make the top four and with it, a Champions League place, does Arsene Wenger not equip the club with a squad which has a chance to win it?

Why did Lord Harris make such a stupid bold statement about Messi and Ronaldo being the only players the club couldn’t afford to sign, then not ensure that more of the money available was spent last summer?

The last question brings me to a bigger issue.

Why do Arsenal have board which consists of so many ageing men?

Sir ‘Chips’ – 75 years old, Lord Harris – 73 years old, Ken Friar, 81 years old. Then of course there’s Ivan Gazidis who’s a big younger at 51 years old and finally there’s Kroenke Snr. and Jnr. (Both whose footballing knowledge could be questioned)

Where’s the younger blood, the retired players who know Arsenal inside and out and would want nothing but the best for the club.? Men, or women who would bring new ideas with them and have a bit more passion and drive than this current crop appear to have. Surely there’s a few ‘out there’ who would jump at the chance of taking the club they love forward?

I’m sure other questions will spring to mind as the day goes on but what’s yours?

That’s it for Thursday, have a good day guys….

Adam that has made my morning.

“Arsenal hold their AGM later today so with that in mind, what would you like to ask the owner, board or manager if you had the opportunity?”

My question would be – Did the club get close to signing another player and what position was the player in question? along with is this player a household name?

I’m pretty sure Reus will be an arsenal player next season maybe January – I think Ozil & Merts will be the pull he needs as Klopp starts to pick off his old team… Reus is the last star in that team. I know he plays in the sanchez role however I can see him on the right with Campbell going the other way and being a success.

How old is Usminov the unwanted? Is he a mere juvenile at 60+? And why is his input not required?
And for Krnonke, how much cash will he need to cream off the top to make up for the dramatic loss made by Walmart this year? Will it approach £200m for example?

If we are being ageist here, when you consider it, Wenger and Usminov are striplings in their mid sixties when you compare them with the rest of the post 70’s pensioners! Experience is all very well but, being run by a group of age challenged geriatrics is hardly progressive, when running a 21st century premier league football club!

Pass the port please, from the left, naturally!

I prefer the carrot cake myself Kev.. Rather tasty, although I don’t buy the mixes very often, only when I’m lazy and feeding others… 😉

MG, it’s funny you have taken such a set against Wneger of late.
Is it because he failed to sign the various players you said were done deals?
    Maybe it’s just coincidence lol

scott what rumours have i posted on here,i have been anti wenger for about 7 years,it just didn’t arrive over night.

    Afternoon Rico, All…

    Good read.

It’s always easy to question another’s productivity based on advancement in age until the questioner starts getting on too. I’ve read somewhere that young men think old men are fools but old men don’t just think… they know young men are fools.

My question … Why doesn’t Arsenal FC spend good money on PR and positive press instead of being the good guys and allowing the press to mischievously decide FA, referees and public opinion on everything Arsenal?

  7. Adam says:

Apparently Sir Chips has just asked for someone to be flogged mercilessly after he asked an impertinent question about vintage port and its suitability with anything other than the finest Stilton.

    Things every supporter should know:
    Part 1,

Sir Chips Keswick – Sir John Chippendale Lindley

Or as his friends refer to him, “a real chip off the old block!”

He really has become part of the furniture, hasn’t he?

Now, I bet nobody knew that!

    What do you know?

  9. allezkev says:

Sir Chippendale Keswick, is typical of his kind…
Educated at Eton and taught that he will be a leader and decision maker.
And as with all his ilk, they do not enjoy being questioned about their decisions and dislike even more having to justify them…

Straight out of the Hill-Wood mould of an arrogant buffoon…

Give me Dein, any day of the week…

  10. Wavy says:

Was Dein a Kentish Grammar school type, perchance? Or was he from more humble stock? A Secondary Modern type, hooligan stock?
In any event he was a damned sight better than the chinless wonders plus the syrup that are presently running our beloved club!
Would the Russian oligarch be any better? Well, who knows? Perhaps Putin will seize charge, in that, he supplied all the Uzbec’s money for him and now it’s pay back time!
God, we are blessed aren’t we, damned with what we’ve got and damned with what we may be getting!
    Hey ho!

What did I say about the old stooges in the post…. Hopeless lot eh…

Evening all, summer really is over isn’t it… I should have taken my beanie with me this afternoon..brrrrr

  12. scottfromoz says:

    Morning all.
MG, what rumours have you posted?
That’s the funniest post ever on HH lol.
    Brilliant stuff.
What a start to the day Hahahaha.
Rico, your 1.05 pm shows my hypothetical question was spot on……why won’t they answer questions, the bastards.
In positions like that, they should be an open book.

  13. rico says:

To be fair to Mg Scott, since he’s been on here recently, he’s not posted any rumours about players we are definitely going to sign.. Just like me in the lists and so many of us, Mg justs talks about stuff in the papers…

Arsenal an open book? Never will that happen and possibly rightly so… All I ask is for them to be honest, passionate and ambitious…

Oh, and get some younger blood on the board….

  14. allezkev says:

I see that Mourinho has called his £50,000 fine and one match ban, suspended, ‘a disgrace’…

I think the FA should have taken him to the Tower, where he should have been given 50 lashes with a cat o’ nine tails…

    And then keel hauled…

    Night All…

  15. allezkev says:

Seems that the Isco rumours won’t go away as we’re linked to him again this January…

I don’t really know him but Adam rates him, but do we really need another attacking midfielder?
He could, I suppose, be the eventual replacement for Rosicky, but he’ll only come to Arsenal if he can play regularly…

So, who drops out for Isco?

Also we’re linked with another Madrid player, a striker – praise the Lord – called Rodriguez. He’s just recovered from a long-term injury, a favourite ploy of AW, he’s 22 and AW wants him initially on loan…

Rodriguez might have ‘more legs’ than Isco, so to speak…

    Lata

  16. Adam says:

Morning Rico and all. If that is Jesse Rodriguez then I reckon he is very decent. He looked quality before his injury. Isco? Another superb player and a valuable asset I would think.
Watching the mental disintegration of Mourinho is becoming rather amusing. I am all for his keel hauling though. Followed by a stadium ban of course. I wonder what his nickname is among the Chelsea players?

  17. tsgh says:

I see Fat sam is still making waves in the news.
He is going after all the mnagers but Hoe-say.

Interesting looking at the stats, he has not really had an upper hand over AW. This is another exmple of how we can be led to believe lies…

    Wenger v Allardyce PL
    Overall W13 D6 L4.
    Away W5 D3 L4.
    At home W8 D3 L0.

  18. rico says:

    Morning Ts..

Adam, I’m enjoying the game which the locals are playing. On a concrete wicket can you believe… lol

    New post up now..

  19. scottfromoz says:

    Morning all.
Isco would be a sensational purchase.
He’s brilliant, and we should have got him 3-4 years ago.
Rodriguez I don’t know much about at all.
Ginge, I’m here to amuse Hahahahahaha
