Mourinho anyone? Arsenal are the gift which keeps on giving….

Morning all.

Leicester had drawn on Tuesday night, the Totts faced a tricky trip to West Ham last night. This could be our chance to grab three points and close the gap.

As expected, the Totts lost, as unexpected or perhaps expected, so did Arsenal.

Joe Campbell replaced Theo Walcott – great move by Arsene Wenger as that’s what we all wanted. A worker, a dangerous little player who can cause problems. He did and early on too which made a refreshing change and 1-0 it soon was. This could be a rout said one of the BBC football reporters as the Arsenal team looked lively and up for the challenge for once.

Rout, not a hope in heck as after 1-0, the usual tippy tappy stuff returned. Then a sucker punch. Yet again a foul on Ozil was missed by the referee, Swansea went on the attack and scored.

Just after the hour mark, the most bizarre of all changes was made by Wenger. Off went Joel Campbell and on in his place came Danny Welbeck. Not knocking bringing on Welbeck but taking off Campbell who was lively when others around were having a stinker, was little other than odd.

If the first goal was bad, and it was bad because a goal, a second scored by Williams, who was offside, made it 2-1 to the visitors but I’m not using those two decisions for our loss. Swansea were the side in a relegation battle but to be honest, Arsenal looked more like the side in the bottom three and who’d given up all hope of survival rather than a team chasing a Premier League title.

Yes we had chances, another penalty shout, we hit the woodwork, but Swansea too had chances of their own. It really was dire stuff from Arsenal yet again but nothing is going to change in our approach now. The tippy tappy stuff has been going on too long, the lazy approach seems ingrained in the players minds and until changes are made in the managerial position and/or coaching set up, we fans can expect little different from Arsenal.

To make matters worse, Petr Cech, who has been carrying a groin injury since before the Utd game, suffered more damage late on in last nights game and has now been ruled out of the NLD, as has Laurent Koscielny.

Happy days eh….

Mourinho in the summer anyone?

He’d sort the squad out wouldn’t he? He’d certainly sort the defence and midfield out too but he’d come at a cost and I don’t just mean financially. (Mind you, Arsene gets a nice cheque each month)

He’s arrogant, loves himself and the sound of his own voice, he has opinion about every other club as well as the one he manages, and really spouts some rubbish sometimes…..

Those managerial traits sound familiar to me but I can’t think why…… 😉

All joking aside, this summer has to be a summer of change.

The club has money, it’s in a great position of stability and all it really needs is for the majority shareholder to show ambition. He has to bring in new blood, a man with fresh footballing ideas and one who has one thing in mind and that’s to take this football club where we fans all believe it should be.

Oh, and inject a huge dose of passion and pride back into the squad again but I doubt that man will ever be Mourinho.

Until then, expect more of the same……

Scott why will a new manager “keep copping bad?”

How about a new manager with new ideas makes us competitive again and we win proper trophies???

Strengthens the team where stubborn bollocks has refused to.

Or at least make a fist of it trying and not choke or bottle it at every opportunity….

Not keep making the same fucking mistakes season after season and expect different results…

The list is endless, there will be life after Wenger and we will fulfil our potential or at least give it a better shot than this loser!

Being an arsenal supporter, is like loving a person that doesn,t love ye back, great analogy.
Morning Rico, They just don’t look as if they have the belief or the energy. No fight, no leadership first time since 2010 to lose 3 games in a row,10 games since Giroud has scored, definitely worrying times, I know piers morgan is not popular, sorry to say i am a fan, tweeted “I was told on very good authority last night that Pep Guardiola wanted to come to Arsenal with Thierry Henry as his No2”, if true doesn,t that just stick in your gut. that we could well be stuck with this man for the foreseeable.

  3. Lee says:

I don’t mind someone making bad calls but if they just stick to them because they don’t want lose face that’s unacceptable………….Wenger has done this several times’ I mean sticking with Almunia in goal was a colossal fuck up!!!

  4. Wavy says:

Wenger has to go. He’s too stuck in his ways. Same old routines. Same old diet. Same old, same old! It’s what you do when you get old. You find a method that seems to work for you and you repeat it over and over again, because it worked once, twice three times even! It must be good! In the meantime everyone around you has found a new, more efficient method of gaining success and knows how to deal with your strategies. Your found out! The grey mTter has addled and you don’t know where to turn, but absolutely refuse to listen to or take advice from anyone as they don’t have the experience you have and, anyway what do they know?
So, old, stuck in your ways, clueless, and burned out, but never mind, never say die, keep soldiering on………etc, etc.

Wenger has to go! He’s in terminal decline and taking the club with him to new levels of failure! Not seen since the days of Billy Wright!

    Wenger has to go!

Morning all. Nice here, dentist calls yum, yum!

The poisonous Pygmy? Manager of Arsenal? Never in a million years! If he arrives I shall take my support down the Orient!

  5. Wath says:

I’d take Stevie Wonder over Wenger as it seems he doing a great job of being blind recently anyway….!

  6. goonster says:

Morning guys am still smiling 😀 great time to be a gooner. After 10 years of mediocrity I think the winds of change is sweeping our direction. Am loving it. Arsene losing his shit on the sidelines brings me so much satisfaction . It’s evil I know but I love it 😀

  7. goonster says:

Hey ts what do you think of Martin Schmidt Maine manager? Oh my that’s a tactician if you ever need one. The way he compressed bayern’s play last night impressed me. Shut them out and hit them on the counter. I see him having a great career. Won’t be surprise if he’s managing bayern in 3 years. Plus he’s really really young. I ll take him pronto.

  8. Steven says:

Since Wenger won the FA cup two years running I think he bought himself some time but this year at this point he has to go now…. end of the season re-shuffle needs to happen why have the wheels fell off? I could understand if it was Chelsea we got beat 3-2 and Man City beat us 2-1 at home and they were flying in the league but it wasn’t it was the worst Man Utd team to grace the prem vs arsenal and a Swansea team fighting to stay in the league without their manager on the side line it was like god said look i’ll riddle utd with injuries and make the Swansea man ill to give you an even better chance…

it’s nothing short of a joke Giroud 10 games without a goal? Sanchez where has he gone? shadow of the player we seen last season.

if we lose against Spurs I really think the fans will revolt and rightly so besides Jose who would you give the job to? that’s what I wanna know I hate Jose but I’d love him on board he would win the league but at what cost? the passion Henry has shown for us when he played and being a former captain and the fire he has when talking about arsenal on TV he would kick some Arsenal a*s

    Hello again all..

Potter, I’ve looked at the contact page, but nothing…

Goonster, it’s not often that I don’t – cheeky! lol

  11. potter says:

It was there but gone however I found it in history so send me a link and I will send it on thanks

  12. goonster says:

Kev arseblog gets it spot on. It’s what I ve been saying for months now. Those players aren’t half as bad as we make them. Wenger is shit and has been shit for years now. I know theo is not a world beater but in an fast paced counter attacking game he’s a beast. Theo is not a good Passer of the ball or a dribbler. Alexis is not built to play our one touch crabby footie. Chuck him up front. Hurl Ramsey off and send him to the under 21s till he get his acts together. Then ditch the possession football and let’s return to what made us one of the most feared teams of the last decade.

  13. potter says:

I jotted some ideas for a post and tried to send it to you but is there a way apart from the contact page.

  14. goonster says:

We keep harping on how bad our English core are but no one ever question why these lads never seem to improve year in year out. Walcott gibbo AOC Wilshire and heck even chambers are better than mark noble Creswell and few of the spuds lads. But look how far behind they are development wise. We ve have always been shit under wenger just that back then most English teams had shit players but now the penny has finally dropped and teams like west ham can afford payet stoke shaqiri and leceister inler. The spuds have been closing the gap season after season for the past 10 year. Now they ve surpassed us. It’s painful but it’s the truth. In arsene we rust.

  15. goonster says:

2001/2002 season we were 8 points ahead of manure heading into the home stretch but we stumbled and manure won the league at our expense. I remembered crying my eyes out. Yes folks even back then we were bottlers thanks to leshite. What a cnut. Wenger out now.

  16. Bob John says:

I would rather be relegated than have Moronho as manager! The problem we have is that the syrup is completely clueless and wouldn’t have the foggiest idea on who to recruit. Probably end up with an offensive co-ordinator, defensive co-ordinator, special teams coach. etc etc…

  17. rico says:

He picks his nose a bit too much though Lee, a bit like Alistair Cook. Just saying….

Devil, what’s the rest of the song? 😉

  20. Micko says:

Ranieri has told his players to think like rock climbers and not look down, if they did they’d only see some deluded Frenchman clinging to a ledge by his finger-tips.

Where do we go from here !

  21. Joaquim Moreira says:

I intend to make a petition:
“Given the poor results, the anarchic football, lack of motivation, claw, gene, will and passion and in order to return to the Arsenal supporters happy hours, I propose the replacement of A. Wenger by rico, until the end of the season” .

  22. Micko says:

Everyone should do their little bit, I’ve decided I definately won’t be flying over for the title parade this year……sod em.

  23. scottfromoz says:

People are potentially setting themselves up for a horrid few years, the likes nightmares are made of.
Not that I think it should or will happen, but what if Wenger extends his contract?
    Mass suicides, I fear 🙂
    Morning all.

  24. rico says:

I was being ironic though Scott, I’m all for change and think things will improve. Can they be much worse? Lol

But if that American gives him another three years, he needs a visit from the men white coats…

  25. scottfromoz says:

Sorry, Rico, that wasn’t actually a response to your comment….timing is everything lol.
Just a general comment, as all I’m reading everywhere at present is who will be our next manager…..
Nothing would surprise us no, surely.
Let’s face it, Stan will look at the end of the season and see a top 4 finish-Job done from his point of view.
I’d be bloody astounded if it happened, but I’m bloody astounded by Arsenal more and more all the time.

  26. rico says:

🙂 Scott, yes, bad eh.. Lol

I’d not be surprised if he stayed, nor would I be surprised if Kroenke asked him to but surely, even Wenger can see there’s a huge problem and he’s a big part of it…

  27. Mark says:

We may not even get 4th !! Seriously . Even fans almost believe it’s a given. The way we’ve been playing for a while now. I’m telling you we may not get CL football next year!
But if it gets Wenger out it’d be worth it. We’d be straight back in the following season anyway. Maybe in with a chance of winning it. Hahem ! Well better than last 16 that’s for sure.

It’s growing like a snowball. More people are talking about his lack of motivating ability. He will be under more & more pressure but will he go.Stubborn as he is he may have a hissy fit & walk.
    Let’s all hope eh .

    Wenger OUT !

  28. Marshall says:

Mourinho? Never and no thanks. He’ll win the league for a season maybe go the distance in the UCL in his second season and he’ll be done. Leave us without any football identity. Again nope.

We do not owe Wenger anything. If at all he owes the club for the unquestionable support he gets. He should be dignified enough to call it quits come end season. He built an empire and brought it down to the ground.

Saying he doesn’t pay attention to critism since none of y’all have 30years on the touchline- if you are paying for the matches, buying merchandises and following the club on your armchair your dissatisfaction should be heard. But hey not at arsenal. Of fifth spot gets him out then so be it.

  29. Wavy says:

At this late hour just an observation. Who said history never repeats itself? Were they right? Probably not! How many of you remember Nottingham Forest’s demise? I give you Brian Clough, a legend in his own lifetime who lost the plot big time!
Historical parallel? Arsene Wenger! Both outstayed their respective welcome, neither knew their day was done and neither left or will leave with grace!
The old man needs taking to one side and telling that his days in the sun are now over and it’s time for him to move on to pastures new or just out to pasture. With a call of thanks for the memories, and perhaps a bit of a specially awarded gong to recognise his past successes. An illuminated bus pass should be given to him to ease his passage into old age, to let him him travel freely throughout the borough of Islington, Andmay it be long and fruitful but, not at Arsenal!

  30. Marshall says:

Lol Lee, he has ti 2017- always honors his contracts. He says that like it’s worth a medal, that old geezer.

  31. Wath says:

Seems Alexis is questioning that winning mentality….. About time someone brought it up…! Can imagine he looks round the dressing room and thinks well if half this lot put in 50% of the effort I put in we’d of pissed the league by now..!

  32. Lee says:

Wenger hasn’t had a leader on the pitch for ages instead there’s a load of over paid weak yes men….. you reap what you sow!

  33. Adam says:

Morning Rico and all. Huge amounts of discontent around and a blurring between the Wenger the once-great manager and the man himself. It seems a shame that it all looks like it will end unpleasantly when there was absolutely no need for it to be this way.

  34. allezkev says:

Morning Rico, Lee, Adam, Wath and All…

These things never end nicely, if everything in the garden was rosey, we wouldn’t be debating when AW is going to resign/retire, we’d be giving it ‘3 more years’…

It’s gonna be messy, it’s gonna be acrimonious and it’s gonna be regrettable.

If only Arsene, like Ferguson, had the sense to go at the right time, instead of a death by a thousand cuts.

  35. Lee says:

It’s his own fault, he could of strengthened in the summer/January and really gone for the PL and then retired with his head held high…… instead this shit is playing out!

  36. Marshall says:

Wenger won’t quit. His stubbornness precedes him. Till ’17. Hold on fellas.
    i hope am wrong

  37. scottfromoz says:

Alexis is spot on, but also guilty of doing Fukk all to earn his wage at present.
Rather they ALL do their talking on the pitch.
I’m dirty in nearly very one of them atm.
    Morning all.

  38. Wath says:

Have to disagree there Scott, Alexis is playing poorly but you can’t ever accuse the bloke of not trying, he still runs his balls off still wants the ball he don’t hide at all unlike others and still chases and gets stuck in, his problem is form wise he has been way below par since returning from injury
