Montero, Mata, Cabaye & Rooney all possible. Forget Wenger, Gazidis, the Board & Kroenke. The players need you….

Morning all.

I’ll get the newspaper stories out the way first:

Jefferson Montero, an international winger is linked to us, he’s rumoured to be wanted by Cardiff but as Di Maria is looking more and more difficult to sign because that Scum knob is holding back on the Bale transfer, the Ecuador player is Wenger’s backup plan. He mainly plays on the left but can fill in as striker if needed.

There is an interesting article in the Daily Mail by Rob Shepherd – it’s here if you are interested in reading it but basically, David Moyes would have and still could sell Wayne Rooney to an overseas club or to us, if the player really wants to leave Manchester United. The article suggests that Moyes could not and will not sell to Chelsea as he has to stand his ground during his first season. Having taken over from SAF, selling a player like Wayne Rooney to a club fighting for top spot would not be a good start.

I’d argue that selling Rooney to us would go a long way to helping us be title contenders too, especially if we do get other signings in before 11pm tomorrow…

In other gossip, Juan Mata could move from Chelsea if he submits a transfer request and we have made another offer for Cabaye. £15 million is the figure reported.

It’s Derby day and never before have I dreaded one as much as I do this one.

Whilst AVB has been snapping up new recruits left, right and centre, our manager has done pretty much nothing, other than nabbing a couple of freebies of course, but then we all know that by now.

No doubt most of the neighbours new signings will be on display today, either in the starting line up, on the bench or simply around the dugout which will no doubt be enough to raise the voices of the away fans. They’ll be full of abuse and insults about how tight Wenger has been so far this summer transfer window.

We need to shut them up!

Every game is about eleven v eleven and our eleven is pretty darn good on it’s day and today has to be one of those days if we are to get all three points.

Thomas Vermaelen, Mikel Arteta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby are all longterm injuries leaving our likely squad looking something like:

Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Rosicky, Walcott, Giroud, Fabianski, Monreal, Jenkinson, Sanogo, Frimpong, Flamini, Gnabry.

I strongly suspect that Flamini will go straight into the side in place of Mikel Arteta. The Frenchman is no stranger to a NLD and he’ll be out to show all fans and the manager why re-signing him was nothing other than a very good idea.

It’s NLD day and it matters!

Today means so much to all Arsenal fans, it’s much more than just three points and I don’t care how we get them, do you?

We fans know what this game means, no doubt all the players will do too, all have been part of at least one before, well except Sanogo but I suspect he’s been told exactly what this means to everyone involved with Arsenal.

No player should need to be reminded about what today means to Arsenal fans, if our boys are not up for this game they should not be in the red and white that represents OUR club, our history and just what days like today mean to us!

Bacary Sagna knows:

As I have said before, we can beat anyone. We have very talented players who are young and motivated.

This game is one of the highlights of the season because it is a derby – we know how important it is for the fans, the club and the players to win it. The atmosphere is just magic and it will be even more magic if we win on Sunday.

So does Carl Jenkinson:

It means an awful lot to me. It’s a massive game and it’s the first one I look for at the start of the season. And of course I am spreading the message throughout the dressing room about how important it is.

I wouldn’t miss it for the world as a fan or as a player. I have grown up supporting the club and I know what it means to the fans. The boys in the changing room need to be aware of what it means as well.

But I don’t think it will be an issue. We’ll be up for it.

Come on you Arsenal men, fight for your lives and give us the win we all so desperately want and need..

And all you fans going today, forget Arsene Wenger for 90 minutes, or whoever else you choose to blame for this fiasco of a transfer window. Put all of that to one side. Today is not a day to sit and home in protest, leaving your seat at The Emirates empty it’s about getting behind those in red and white..

Those players matter today and that’s all.

Each and every one of them need us behind them 100% from start to finish.

Let’s not let them down…….

Good Morning Lady, Sir, Gentlemen and Ladies.

The one we might all be dreading might turn out fine for us today. I dont know why but besides dreading it today I am also feeling that we will be smiling come this evening.

  3. Kevvy says:

I’ll be there supporting my team, but don’t expect me not to have a go at Wenger and Gazidis. To have a massive budget and not to have spent a penny is a disgrace. We’ve already dropped 3 points at home to a team who haven’t got a point since, and if we lose today I not going to keep quiet. I want Wenger “out” even if we win today, and then spends £100m tomorrow, he’s gambled on our season by waiting so long.

  4. Cescsheun says:

Tha’s rumour plz.. we’re not carried away with all these rumour plz. let wait till 11:59 tomorrow. Up gunners.

  5. devilgunner says:

    Good post Rico bdw.

Monteiro, Kalou I dont care. We need bodies.

Yes I would prefer Mata and Cabaye and Torres. But we need bodies to bulk us up.

  6. devilgunner says:

The club has banned the use of Flags inside the Ems. Why????

We saw how the Turks support in their backyard. Why cant we do the same?

The Italians do so as well. Why not us???

Are the club’s management so dumb???

  7. Chuks says:

If we eventually win this derby, wenger will not sign any player on the deadline day. but if we lose it, that will persuade him to sign.

  8. ktr7 says:

Good reae rico.nothing else matters today other than beating that lot.lets hope fans at the Emirates get behind the players for this one.

  9. Wavy says:

Dg,flags banned because the bod are frightened of the messages that the might carry. Many will not be very positive, I think. So disalloy them ALL!

  10. tsgh says:

A fine motivational post Gen. Wesley Clarke will be proud off…

Now the rest is up to AW. and the boys. Does AW select his best XI or does he look at the best players available who can neutralise the spurds threats?

I will do the later. Cancel out Walker and Townsend or Lennon and then we have a chance…

They will definitely score, the issue is come we out score them…

    C’mon gooners…

  11. asiangooner says:

I wish I could be at the erms and support the boys……. no negativity please today. Well not till we beat the scums anyway 😉

    Morning rico & all,
What I’ve seen so far of the spuds,
    is very slow methodical football,
I think we will be to quick for them today.
    come on you reds.

Jenkinson has a lot riding on this game
most of his family are spuds.

  15. rico says:

I suspect the flag banning is more about health and safety and viewing. If i recall rightly, the NLD’s see the stewards relax all the rules, the club want the standing, the noise and the atmosphere …

  16. BrainwashedKev says:

You gotta luv Carl Jenkinson, a throw-back to Adams, Parlour, Keown etc, players who were in-tune with the feelings of the fans…

Wesley Sneider, now that’s a new one on me?!!!

£6 million and 29 years old makes him about perfect.

Add Kaka at 31 years and we’d start looking like Tony Waddington’s Stoke City.

Waddington’s policy was to buy old quality players and squeeze the last drips of talent out of them. Stoke actually played good football in those days (yes, hard to believe eh?)…

  17. asiangooner says:

I think TS we should field our best players for important positions esp midfield….. if we will focus to much on canceling out their players than we will not be able to play our natural game imho

I think we should focus on our game and score as many as we can as i am sure they will score.

  18. Wavy says:

Good rousing post Rico, just the job.
Hope this is not the kiss of death but, I think we have a better team than the N17 scums and we will win today.
But overall if we do not increase the numbers of first team players with and injection of at least 4 quality signings, come the end of the season we will find ourselves beneath them in the table. The reason being our squad has virtually no b ack up. We have 4 out now, long term too, and nothing really in reserve. There is a simple solution but the stubborn old git continues to rest on his laurels of past, long past successes, and project youth. Still not dead very much alive and kicking, just not very effectively, yet!

  19. asiangooner says:

I think we should have rosicky, ramsey and cazorla in our midfield today….. walcot and wilshere on wings OG upfront

  20. ktr7 says:

“But Schalke could change their mind and say ‘Well, 40 or
30 million euros is not so bad,’ and then I can’t do much
about it.” interesting that draxler thinks he is worth between €30-€40 mil not the crazy amounts touted

  21. potter says:

Well I’m on my way and shall be standing all the way through. As always with this one trepidation rules. Good luck to all going and for those watching on the box , you will see the minutiae we will see the general pattern . Tomorrows chat should be fun one way or the other.

  22. Paded says:

I strongly believe on what my gunners boys can do,lets all give them the all but 90min suports they need 4rm us the fan and forget Wenger for just 90min.

  23. tsgh says:

Ag, personally I will play Gibbs and Monreal on the lhs and keep the midfield 3 who played at Fulham. The midfield 3 will out run and out think the midfield 3 of Dembele/Capoue and Paulinho.

Walker is on form if AW makes the mistake of playing SC19 on the lhs with him having natural tenancies to drift in, our lb will be killed literally… imo

  24. saint remy says:

hey guyz gudmornin.lets go out dia n gve our boys d maximum support they deserve for 2days NLD.forget wenger n gazidiz for nw.

  25. BrainwashedKev says:

    Morning All btw…

Tbh, I cannot see Arsenal doing any business with Real Madrid, and I really don’t know why Wenger even bothers to try?

Kaka is a giveaway, the only problem being his unrealistic wage demands and the astronomical bung his thieving agent will no doubt demand…

Arsenal simply have to deal elsewhere and get their fcuking finger out…

  26. tsgh says:

I know yesterdays was only 1 match but it is obvious Boateng will over shadow Draxler in his preferred are on the pitch.

What SC04 do not want is for Draxler to lose his value because he has to change his game to suit Boateng.

And of course as a BVB fan I want SC04 to lose Draxler too 😉

  27. asiangooner says:

hmmmmmmm interesting ts. lets see what AW does

I am off for a few hours now will be back later. Take care guys

  28. tsgh says:

I agree Kev re dealing with Real; AW has used Perez to get improved salary from us over the last 12 years.

Perez really wanted AW this summer instead of Carlito and AW stayed and had the cheek to ask for Hig…

  29. ktr7 says:

ts schalke need cash right now and they aren’t even going to get anything close to that.they are just posturing right now and with Draxler speaking out it seems we have definitely been in contact with schalke.

also don’t forget Dortmund and Bayern are sniffing around him.if he has a good year you can bet your bottom dollar Bayern will be on their doorstep.when Neur left them for Bayern the schalke fans were outraged and it could be even worse with Draxler.it would be better to ship him abroad when you can.

  30. BrainwashedKev says:

The Scummers have yet to score in open play in the EPL…

This will be their biggest game of the season so far.

We shouldn’t build them up into some kind of super-team.

They’ll also have a lot if new players experiencing a NLD for the first time,
    Culture shock or what?!!!

Plus, no Chimpanzee to save their arses…

  31. tsgh says:

kt/Dev- 11 am kick for RM vs Bilbao I shall be keeping an eye on our potential targets and also if Herrara will start for Ath… it will be funny if Yanited miss out on him…

  32. ktr7 says:

Ts i also think its plausible that Wenger has decided to go for di maria and draxler since he has given up on finding a ‘special’ striker.

  33. Keith says:

great post, but flamini will not start today. Im very positive and excited by the prospect of rosicky, wilshire and cazorla in the same team…as it rarely happens, our midfield will outplay theirs and its where the battle needs to be won!

  34. andy says:

morning guys. i’m a blue’s fan { chelsea } what the fuck is wenger upto ? i’m not hear to be sarcastic or abuse, but christ he needs to get a move on. that said i hope he don’t get mata. so good luck hope you win

  35. tsgh says:

Kt- I think Mata is still on the cards too. SG04 comment this morning about Suarez is interesting… it makes your conspiracy spring to mind. 😉

Does anyone know anything about Montero? I must admit I know ziltch even though he was at Villareal 2 years ago…

  36. rico says:

I don’t why either Kev, Higuain should have been the final straw..

Catch you later, go steady and mind those Toots fans in your can…

  37. frednerk says:

Arsene Wenger insists he wants to make the final decision on what players Arsenal buy and sell, disregarding suggestions he requires a director of football to assist him in the transfer market.
    Arsenal’s Scouting Network
Danny Karbassiyoon in America, and he covers Mexico too.
Sandro Orlandelli Pablo Budner and Everton Gushiken.
in Brazil, Argentina and the rest of South America.
Bobby Bennett does all of Scandanavia.
Francis Cagigao in Spain and Portugal.
Gilles Grimandi in France and Switzerland.
Jurgen Kost covers Germany, Czech Republic.
Tony Banfield in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.
    Peter Clarke, based in Holland.
    Pat Holland covering Europe(young talent)

Now you know who to blame if a player
    can’t cut the mustard.

  38. rico says:

Thanks Keith, we’ll see re Flamini 😉

Welcome Andy, I think you dislike them nearly as much as we all do, not quite, but nearly..

lol re mata, great player who seems to not be Jose’s favourite, I hope he’s in red and white by 11pm tomorrow 😉

  39. malex says:

Well, what an atmosphere of uncertainty due to luck of re-enforcements and injuries from the gunners perspective. But this result will for once and for all, answer the myth that ‘re-enforcements equals guaranteed success for clubs’!!!!Wenger is gonna annihilate AVB just to prove his point to all doubters…..

  40. rico says:

Welcome to those joining HH today…

Eric Dier is being linked to us, English DM/CH, 6′ 2″ tall and Tony Adams reckons he’s mustard…

    Can not wait!

  42. rico says:

Enjoy the game Scott, I am not quite as confident as you but if ever these players need to turn up, it’s today and I think they will…..

They know what this game means…..

  43. Scott from Oz says:

    Hi Rico.
In all seriousness, our boys are good enough and they have so many new players in we do have that advantage.
We just need a little luck with injuries, because if we lose one or two early we are in trouble.

  44. GunnerDNA says:

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right and forgot about the one who don’t and believe everything happen for a reason. If you get a chance take it, if it changes your life let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it will be worth it. Good morning HH, 3 nil to the Arsenal.

  45. rico says:

Is there such a player Mg, or do you mean Arda Turan? 🙂

I just worry about the depth Scott, one injury during the game and we are in a difficult situation. I pray that doesn’t happen…

  46. rico says:

Ha ha, I doubt it, he has a clause in his contract around £25 million I reckon, and we were linked to him around 4/5 years ago when he would have cost a lot less than that….

We’ll see, but you know you have a history of failing to have any credibility with your rumours..

  47. Scott from Oz says:

    Agreed Rico.
Still, if we beat them today, then sign some decent players they will be in our shadow again this season.

  48. ktr7 says:

I’ve not seen enough of viviano to comment but it seems szczesny is still 1st choice with him as back up.he has a complicated ownership though.

  49. ktr7 says:

    Jamie Sanderson @Sanderson 21s
Arsenal spoke to Madrid last night over
Angel Di Maria. Also in for Palermo
    goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano.

  50. devilgunner says:

    Complicated ownership????

That rumour is doomed from the start.

I see our ace has returned. Good. We might win today then.

  51. devilgunner says:

that means that if we buy him for say 5 milion, 2.5m go to Palermo and 2.5m go to Internazionale.

AW usually steers clear from such deals.

  52. ktr7 says:

    Jamie Sanderson @Sanderson 8m
Arsenal almost got Viviano last summer,
but he wanted to stay in Italy. #afc now
keen after failing to land Vicente Guaita.

  53. devilgunner says:

Viviano is going to be on loan for a season with the option of buying him outright if AFC are impressed.

Viviano is solid. Not spectacular but he is one of the calmest keepers in Italy.

  54. devilgunner says:

Palermo goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano is reportedly set for a medical at Arsenal today.

The Rosanero are whittling down their squad after relegation to Serie B and this morning Werder Bremen took defender Santiago Garcia on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Viviano will fly out from Sicily this afternoon to undergo a medical in London.

The deal would be a paid loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

Viviano has been a problem for Palermo since Fiorentina turned down their option to buy him on a permanent basis.

A former Italy international with six caps to his name, the 27-year-old is a lifelong Fiorentina supporter who even has a tattoo of the club symbol and called his daughter Viola.

Viviano was heartbroken when the Tuscans did not want to make his loan permanent, but some pundits felt the pressure of playing for his hometown club affected his performance.

He has been linked with several other clubs this summer, including Milan, Torino, Roma and Napoli.

  55. ktr7 says:

Devil di maria starting doesn’t mean much just like ozil being on the bench.on Wednesday Boateng started for milan in the CL playoff against PSV and scored twice but on Friday he was a Schalke player.a few years back nasri started for us against pool but was sold days later.

if bale had been at madrid now di maria would be on the bench.am not saying its a guarantee that he will come but its too early to draw conclusions right now considering bale hasn’t arrived and due to his cost he will start and its likelty di maria will be the casualty.

  56. Abeh@ +2347068065071 says:

Mates, what interest me now is our 3 point in d NLD. To hell with Wenger & d board. Gunners 4 Life!!!

  57. tsgh says:

SG- “I saw what happened to Fernando Torres (when he joined Chelsea in January 2011). I didn’t want Luis to make the same mistake and that’s the advice I gave him. He’ll have another chance to move forward to a club that he deserves to be at.”

ha ha… a bit desperate I will say

  58. Woody says:

Yeah Ts – why is Gerrard coming out with these comments now?

Also, it’s not exactly a sidewards step moving from Liverpool to Arsenal. One team generaly fails to make Europe, but sometimes plays in the Europa league and one team plays in the CL every year.

Also, all this bollocks about Arsenal not being able to compete…neither could Chelsea or City until they bought decent players.

What people fail to say is that Suarez would make us a better team and if he came with another 1 or 2 players, then we’re a far improved team

  59. ktr7 says:

From Gerrard’s comments its almost like he is hoping for the best.and about us being a sideways move is total BS.pool were not even in the Europa league draw 🙂

  60. ktr7 says:

If we don’t go in for draxler right now you can almost guarantee he’ll be in munich sooner rather than later considering how old robben/ribery are.

  61. tsgh says:

    The timing is intriguing Woody…

Multiple.. I am currently in the same position as you and most people on that one… re potential buys.

At the beginning of the window I caught wind of our potential targets and knew we were not really looking at any CB. I also knew Di Maria was originally part of our targets just before we went to BVB earlier in May and enquired about Lew.

Hig was a backup even behind Benteke…

The reason why I also talked about Mata joining us even before he was linked to us was that, I heard one of his people approached Arsene to see if he will be interested after the Confed cup and pre-season…

I heard Bosque told Mata he had not improved tactically since joining Chelsea and Bosque advised him to look at Arsenal and AW.

  62. stevepalmer1 says:

Morning all, nice rousing post Rico, lets put the transfers aside bit tickled me you just couldn’t 🙂 Good comment Woody, that is the truth. Why pundits comentators and other clubs player have a lot to say about how Arsenal do their spending, is it sticks in their throats that we have maintained top position’s without the expense. Before the game starts there will be an hour of why he has or hasn’t done what they think he should do, they just don’t like him thats all. Should we lose of course they will crucifi him but when we win they will be a slightly bit quieter until the window closes. Wenger looks cool so he has done his work and we will hear tomorow.

  63. ktr7 says:

Gerrard thinks we are a sideways move…

    Sky Sports News
    @ SkySportsNews

    Subs for Liverpool: Jones, Sterling,
    Wisdom, Kelly, Ibe, Flanagan, Alberto.

considering only kolo and suarez who are missing that is a quality bench 🙂
if we sign some players and get our injured players back we’ll be miles ahead of that lot.

  64. stevepalmer1 says:

Afternoon Ginge, He could have took that job and had 7 mill a year with only a handfull of games 🙂 Wenger will never get the recognition he deserves but there are a few who still think the world of him. 🙂

Ts, if AW is serious arsenal can win the league, the best game of the season so far is Arsenal vs Fulham, I’m yet to b impressed with some of the big teams.

  84. tsgh says:

Its a nervy one… I hate games before and after any international hiatus…

If we start with our midfield from Tuesday I think we will lose… so I hope not… Scez saved us on Tuesday with master saves before we went ahead.

  85. tsgh says:

Dna, I agree even Klopp said we were too impressive against Fulham… But will AW have the bottle to make the right selection? I doubt he would…

Most midfields will struggle against Sidwell and Parker.
Interestingly, Cabaye came on and made a huge difference to the magpies…

  86. Gunnerdna says:

I’m wondering if VP can understand what Stevie G is saying, talk like he got something hot in his mouth, every word starts and finishes with a S. lol

  87. tsgh says:

Phil Jones… the one tipped to be greatest Yanited defender… ha ha ha.

Dna, Fergie bought 4 players lastsummer only 1 i.e improed aby AW is deemed good enough.

All of AW signings last summer were influential but AW has a bad recruitment policy. hmmm

The difference is that Yanited have played together for donkey years.

  88. tsgh says:

    Wayne Veysey ‏@wayneveysey 11m
Finally, some transfer activity at Arsenal. One deal done & told #AFC working on two others

  89. Gtid says:

We ♥ you Arsenal, we do, We ♥ you Arsenal, we do, We ♥ you Arsenal, we do,oh Arsenal we love you.
If Ramsey can show us what he’s being doing in the past 3 games and scores again today, he should be favourite for player of the month.
North London is Red and will always be.
    COYG

  90. tsgh says:

De Rossi has rejected MUFC move. Roma willing to sell & had lined up a replacement but player not too keen.

    Lamela in spurds squad…

  91. Gtid says:

Good news if deals go through but why wait until the last day of the season, is this man trying to prove something??

  92. Judge me in May says:

    Aftermoan,

I have a feeling that we gonna lose, and we gonna lose ugly, with the usual red card/penalty incident and few injury casualties..
I swear I could see wenger flapping his arms and kicking few bottles…
    I hope I am wrong..
Win or lose he better do some business before it is over..
Apparently Rooney has some serious HAIR injury 🙂
    COYGS..

  93. rico says:

Malaga, you are welcome here but keep the daft rumours down could you please, you make them sound like fact but we all know they are not..

Also, if you start the abuse like last time, you’ll be off again, it’s up to you….

  94. tsgh says:

pfff—- Arsenal team: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud
subs: Fabianski, Sagna, Monreal, Flamini, Zelalem, Gnabry, Sanogo

  95. tsgh says:

    The swampies

Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose; Capoue, Paulinho; Townsend, Dembele, Chadli; Soldado

subs – Erik Lamela is on the bench – Friedel, Naughton, Holtby, Lamela, Sandro, Sigurdsson, Defoe

  96. tsgh says:

    You are right Dna…

I just hope Ramsey and TR07 play in the double pivot…

But I suspect TR07 may go lhs instead. Ideally JW plays on the wings and causes them problems..,

  97. tsgh says:

Moyes face after the final whistle priceless…lol

    Hello Micko… I am normally positive but the line-up and Sagna’s illness…

Frimps has the same illness too I heard…

  98. Wavy says:

Pin front of the tv watching the dippers beating a very very ordinary manure side. Not sure that manure will finish in the top four! They have been very mid-table imo.
However, I’m really excited at the prospect of AW announcing our mega buys before k.o. At 4.00. Ee, I can’t wait!

  99. tsgh says:

According to Carrusel Madrid have received 2 offers for Ozil, one from the Premier League and one from France (Paris SG)

  100. Scott from Oz says:

    Back again guys.
An hour and a but drive in the middle of the night to watch the game also being shown in my loungeroom.
    Madness 🙂

  101. rico says:

I hope those players just heard what Souness had to say!

Now go and ram his words right back down his throat!!

    COYR’s…

    You’re mad Scott 😉

  102. arsenal11730 says:

    Nice write up Ric.
    Good start for the boys.
Nice to see SC19 take the free kicks as TW is wasteful.
We must keep an eye on 2 local boys Rose and Townsend.
    Rosicky and Cazorla are key.
    COY REDS
Hopefully a win and couple signings, but must admit I’m very nervous and not confident.

  103. arsenal11730 says:

    Agree Tsgh
Cj25 is very nervous and we miss the natural calmness and attacking threat of Bac.
We all Love Cj25 as he is a diehard Gooner like us.

  104. tsgh says:

Ag, do you see how TR07 has taken it upon himself to help on the lhs when we do not have the ball.

Ramsey has gone on the rhs behind Theo and infront of CJ25 too…

    2 very tactically astute players…

  105. tsgh says:

My stat calculator tells me Ramsey has won more tackles already than Capoue and Paulinho already with 27 mins gone…

And Sounes was talking shite earlier.

  106. tsgh says:

Honestly, changes are need tactically or personnel changes have to be made…

TR07 is on a yellow card now. Dembele is being allowed to fall behind our DM

  107. Micko says:

Flamini, our big summer signing…..he’ll chew ’em up and spit ’em out.
We’re starting to look a bit stretched.

  108. tsgh says:

Oz- 3 runners in the centre of the park will calm the game down.

Its the wings I am seriously concerned about. AW has to use his 3000 plus substitution experience to cut either Theo or SC19 imho…

TR07 is on a yellow card as well so that is a concern too.

  109. NashuaGunners says:

Bollox to the pundits! Score 3 more and shove it down their throats… Exactly Rico. That’s what I’m talking about.

  110. tsgh says:

    Hmm 2 forwards…

Flamini has to help now… but that may give us the extra man in the middle to gain back possession again… I hope

  111. tsgh says:

AW has swapped Flamini and Ramsey’s positions so that we can win the ball further up in their half… SC19 and Ramsey can orchestrate play better that way.

  112. tsgh says:

    Yesssssssssssssssss.

    only 1 Arsenal Only 1 Arsene…

Ramsey and TR07… class. BFG and Koss Class. Gibbs class.

    In Wenger We trust.

  113. asiangooner says:

chez made some superb saves…… but overall great defending and play

now get those fucking players in you wankers……. lol

the fans have been superb…….. great atmosphere

  114. asiangooner says:

I know it did rico…….. but still i had to moan about those 5 mins 😉

we share the same feelings rico and almost the same comment 🙂

  115. tsgh says:

The game was lost when AVB shot himself in his foot again by going 2 upfront and 2 in CM midfield…

That is a text book error all AW’s managerial pupils or disciples do all the time… 😀 😀

    Jose will never do that

  116. asiangooner says:

it was a very tough game…… we had to work so hard

I think everyone put in a good shift today. well done boys

I am so glad… not my 5-2 wish but a win is a win. We could have easily scored 3 though

  117. Micko says:

Giroud 3 PL goals already, 11 last season, getting his act together, doesn’t mean we don’t need a top striker to come in tomorrow mind ya !!!

  118. tsgh says:

The pundits look so disappointed one would think they were spuddies…

When AW said the team will need time to gel re spuddies the world laughed at him.

But now it is the reason why they lost today. lol

  119. rico says:

    🙂 Ag

Never Micko, not today, Giroud for me, ok he fluffed a few things but he defended so well in the final 10 mins…. 🙂

  120. rico says:

Carragher has obviously learned from Neville and not Souness, he says we could have won 3-0 and Totts never really threatened us 🙂

  121. rico says:

Wenger on transfers ‘maybe we will have a good surprise for you’…..

Smiling from ear to ear. Has he really got something up his sleeve….

  122. S2S says:

    Rico,

Didn’t I tell you Spurs are cheating, diving lot. AVB is running school for divers.

Wasn’t Levy asking that guy next to him to get him AW or SAF?

Imho Spurs should have spent 25M less on Lamela and should have asked BvB to release Klopp for them.

  123. NashuaGunners says:

Don’t worry Rico, once he announce the new signings you’ll come around. He’ll make some mistakes alone the way but…

  124. NashuaGunners says:

I did some lips reading some 25 years ago. S2S that was exactly what Levy was saying. Get me AW at all cost.

  125. S2S says:

    Rico,

he must be talking about Viviano then..lol

And it isn’t about how much they dived but how they dived. There were hardly any genuine falls from a Spurs player.

And about Ollie G, I guess for Arsene he must be our 5th choice CB. Whenever we defend corners with him in the team, I feel so assured about keeping them out.

  126. rico says:

Ng, so did I, he didn’t say that at all…. What he said was, ‘I paid out £100 million and we still couldn’t beat Arsenal’…

  127. ozgunner says:

haha did i miss something have we won the european cup tonight? Wenger’s God Squad are rocking tonight! We did do them 5-2 last season and finished with what exactly?

  128. rico says:

Oh well, if you are right S2S, they will suffer….

What matters now is we beat them… And, what happens between now and 11pm tomorrow….

  129. S2S says:

AW or even Martinez could do much better with this team then what AVB is doing. Even Harry would do better. I still think they should have looked at one or two RB or LB else they’d get bettered many times.

  130. ozgunner says:

not a hard man Nash, i am very pleased with tonight, what i do know is this lot can loose to Hereford just as easy tomorrow and the squad is in appalling condition numbers wise and I know who i blame. As he said, the buck stops with him… to right it does

  131. rico says:

S2S – not being funny, but who really cares about what goes on at the Toots??

    So do I Ag..

Spot on Oz, and that’s where the problem is. Also, look how knackered our players were with 15 mins to go. They were on their last legs. Now they go off on international duty and I bet we don’t get them all back uninjured…

  132. George says:

hi Rico and fellow joyous gooners..

I thought everyone was v good today. TR07 and Cazorla bossed midfield. My MoM was Flamini…thought he was the DM we have all been craving. Worrying thing for me is not defence , nor midfield…but attack. Should OG12 geet injured….who do we have???? NB52 or Sanogoal?? F£$%

Lets hope we buy half of Real with Spurs money lol

  133. malaga gooner says:

    villa scoring again.
i like him rico, its just hes a spud and im drunk.
    roast chicken then bed happy.

    night all

    god bless every 1

    thanks rico

  134. rico says:

Neither Jack or Sagna should have featured today, they were both ill but lack of depth meant they were..

    Keeper
    CH – (right sided)
    DM
    Top striker

I’d be chuffed with that four as long as they are very good…

  135. stevepalmer1 says:

the deals have been done, just waiting for the last day to announce. Thank you Arsene for giving us somthing to talk about all TW. Tell them fcuk all

  136. ArsenalDK says:

Hello guys. Really ecstatic about the win, but if we dont add 2-3 quality players, we’re gonna be suffering from injuries and fatigue…we have a strong lineup but the squad is just too thin! Di Maria rico!? I would be over the moon, but I just cannot see it happening..

  137. Judge me in May says:

Well done to the lads, outstanding performance and good result..
All dug in deep and kept going..
Giroud man of the match without a doubt… really gave it all..
Theo lacked a bit of compsure and he carried that in his head all game, but vital assist for the goal..
    I liked flamini enthusiasm..
Still too early to judge on the totts team imo, there are some classy players there.. Thanks god dafoe didn’t start..
I am also glad that my gut feeling was wrong before the game.. I think it’s a matter of expect the worst and hope of the best..
Looking forward to the top top special signings..

    .

  138. rico says:

Judge, I’m glad we played them today because if AVB gets them playing together, I hate to admit it, but they might be half decent…

That’s as complimentary it gets from me…

  139. NashuaGunners says:

Rico, AW is stubborn but not stupid. He got rid of the dross. He’ll add bodies on this squad, but whether or not they’re to our expectations, is the question.

Oz, this squad that beat Spud can loose to Easyford from the second division, but sometimes it down to the players on the pitch. Their determination and commitment are what count. How badly they want the win…

  140. GunnerDNA says:

Rico, if we had ox, pold and MA08 the game would been wrapped up from the 1st half. They are ok but nothing special, a front 3 with Bale, Lennon and Ade is better than Chadi, Town and Solgado.

  141. rico says:

Yes he did Gdna – worried me a bit after he got booked but credit to him, he calmed down. Over excited maybe …

We still need a big beast in there though, Flamini is a very good squad player and rotation will be the key if we are to win something…

Ng, sorry but leaving it this late to sign players is stupid imho.

  142. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning wall.
Just after 4 am, home in one piece and pretty happy.
    Our boys defended like lions.
I know Spuds have a quite a few new players and haven’t yet gelled, but individually, none of them out any scare into me.
Just over 24 hours to go??
Get the job done, and we can compete with the best of them.

  143. Scott from Oz says:

Also, and this will shock you all….Merts for motm for me.
He made what seemed like 100 interceptions and challenges.
You would not see a better show of postion and timing from a defender.
No weaknesses out there……sensational performance and we were unlucky not to put another few past them.

  144. BrainwashedKev says:

Great result, now get that bloody chequebook out Arsene you stubborn sod…

The substitutes bench looked like our League Cup squad…

Liverpool won again, those arseholes are looking quite dangerous…
Apparently their win percentage drops when Suarez plays….
Now would that not be rather ironic……

  145. rico says:

Motm was tough today, Merts was outstanding, got his foot in at the right time so many times – I reckon it should have been a team motm, because although one or two had off days, they chipped in with the goal and defending at times…

But Girouds goal was top top class…

  146. rico says:

    Amen to that Kev….

The old Badger missed a chance at the end of the dipper match, I chuckled but wish he’d have scored…

  147. Scott from Oz says:

Rico, i just didn’t want to be bandwagon jumper and plump for Aaron 🙂
Yep….the goal was an absolute ripper.
    Off to bed now.
    Later guys.
    Ooh to be a Gooner!

  148. BrainwashedKev says:

Now I want to see Wilshere, Gibbs, Walcott, Ramsey and Jenkinson all cry off with injuries until the Interlull ends….

Cazorla, Kozzer and Girould all looked unwell to me.
    Have a week off lads…. 😉

  149. BrainwashedKev says:

RVP has won the EPL title he craved Rico, now lets see him spend the rest of his ManUre contract wishing he was back at Arsenal…

He can spend the next three years counting his money…

  150. rico says:

I certainly hope Wenger gives him a reason to wish he was back Kev…

Shame that he’d have to stay and play under Moyes…

    They looked pretty average today…..

  151. Micko says:

That’s 3 men of the match I count then, ramsey pressed all game, supported giroud well, won tackles against players twice his size all afternoon, giroud a close second and Merts third.

Too right rico, this transfer window has been a right dog’s dinner, 24 hours to get at least 3 quality players in, nothing else will do !

  152. Joaquim moreira says:

    Cazorla was sensational today
The team defended very well, with a great spirit and very close. Something taht missed in the past.
However, our squad is very thin.
totts has good players but many ego there. good for us.
Liverpool is a surprise but Suarez maybe in the way out

  153. Andrew says:

Sooooooooooo happy find it hard to sit down and relax!!!
Transfer deadline day towmorrow! It’s like Christmas Eve!!:D

  154. malaga gooner says:

did any 1 watch barry silkman on sly snorts,i thought he said he was involved in a big transfer from europe to go through to a london club

  155. Andrew says:

Loved watching yer(I’m Irish) comments after the match it was like reliving the match all over again!….
    This is a quality blog!
    Ozzzziiiiillll ktr7 would be quality
    …That grin from arsene 😉
He is up to something that sly dog:L

  156. BrainwashedKev says:

Andrew sounds like he’s been on, or about to go on, a few pints of the ‘black stuff’… 😉

Corky must be on the Murphy’s.

And Mick is on anything he can get his hands on…

Hiya George, today has been a very good day mate.
Now I’m gonna knock-off work and go home for some liquid refreshment… 😀

    Hiya Lee….

  157. Andrew says:

Flamini looks to be our defensive mid signing along with Arteta coming back so I’d be suprised if we do sign one….
    A am/winger and a striker !

  158. rico says:

I’m gutted, really thought we were in with a chance of signing him, £8.6 million and just what we need imho…

  159. Andrew says:

yeah agreed however we have numbers in that position:
    Arteta
    Flamini
    Ramsey/Wilshere
    Can’t see wenger buying there..!
I think he wants a bit of pizzazz up front so to say rico?

  160. rico says:

We’ll have to agree to differ Andrew 😉 New spine for me, that will make us contenders…

Boo to you agag, and a very fine goal it was too ….

  161. Andrew says:

    Ozil sky sports understands !!!!!!!
    We will rico!!
For what it’s worth i don’t actually disagree with you I’m just trying to figure out Arsene as impossible as it is !!…

  162. agirlagunner says:

It was, wasn’t it, rico? 🙂 🙂 Now for Theo to start scoring, too. WATH, you happy? 😛 Have a pink GG cocktail for me. 🙂

  163. rico says:

Andrew, I’d give up trying to fathom what is in his mind 😉

Man Utd want Ozil too, would be one heck of a catch if we get him…

Top class finish agag, agree re Theo, he came close today just either a heavy pass or a Lloris save stopped him. Unlike him not to get one in a NLD..

  164. agirlagunner says:

He’s saving his goals for the CL, rico. 🙂 🙂 He thrives on the big stage. 😉 You having a Stella as a reward?

  165. Adam says:

    Evening Rico, Agag and all,
Excellent day at the Emirates today. Tense too.
A LOT of trouble outside the ground before and after the game.
The boys had a determination and a steel about them today. Really good.

  166. Andrew says:

Moyes or Wenger after todays matches I know who I would choose…
Been following him since his werder days
Ozil Santi Wilshere Rosicky and Ramsey all togheter
    passing orgasm!

  167. rico says:

I’m calling it a day guys and gals, catch up tomorrow..

Maybe Ozil will have been signed by then…

Night agag, Andrew and all, have a good one

  168. W.A.T.H says:

AGAG I can assure you I have drunk enough for you RIco and myself and yet I’m still a little thirsty…

I thought I would finish the day as I started Rico 😉

    NorthLondonisRed…!

Ni night…………. Lest hope 2moro also puts a smile on our face with at least 2 quality additions to the team/squad.

  169. Adam says:

Fighting I am afraid. I witnessed a charge with 6 police horses abreast. Impressive.
But there are many, many morons in our midst.

  170. tsgh says:

Wenger to BBC on transfers: “We work very hard so I plea with you not to keep me for too long in this interview.”

Arsenal & Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of Mesut Özil on a €50m dea

Wenger: “We need one or two super players. Maybe in 24 hours we can surprise you

  171. tsgh says:

    Lord Sugar ‏@Lord_Sugar 4h
@GaryLineker been saying that for ages. Now Sir Alex gone Wenger is the best manager in PL. arsenal fans should kiss the ground he walks on

    WoW absolute Wow

BREAKING: Ozil chose #AFC over #MUFC because Wenger offered €7m/year, Manchester United only €5m/year

  172. tsgh says:

Deal done according to Al Jazeera. The biggest signing this summer…

Still some folks will moan it is too late. 😛

  173. Wavy says:

Sourness is an ex-spud, don’t forget. That’s where he learned how to be a nob!
Another Arsenal hater. I love SSN they always choose to employ dispassionate wall sitting know nuthin’ nobs! Imo of course.

  174. NashuaGunners says:

    Good Evening Everyone.

tsgh stop it. What are you trying to do? You want us to start dancing before the announcement? Stop pulling our legs.

  175. agirlagunner says:

Malaga, surely of the dozens of names you floated, one would be right. 😀

Adam, good to see you happy. 😛 Good night, rico. WATH, you’ll have a nasty hangover tomorrow. Hope you don’t have to go to work.

  176. BrainwashedKev says:

    Mesit Ozil eh?

There’s a big Following for Arsenal among the Turkish community in North London, so he’ll be welcomed like a hero…

€50 million is quite an outlay for an attacking midfielder, but I think he’ll be perfectly suited to English football…

I still reckon that Wenger is gonna bring in 4 players…

  177. potter says:

Best thing about today :- There was skepticism about the transfer window , the board and Wenger but once the team took the pitch there was only one objective . The crowd was 100% behind the team. Long may it continue to be so.

  178. BrainwashedKev says:

Mind you, we were getting all excited about Suarez a few weeks ago, and that went tits up, so lets not count our chickens on Ozil….
    Nice thought that it is….

I saw that the agent of Gareth Bale got £5 million out of his transfer!!!

    Why???????

What on earth, does an agent, any agent, do during the few weeks of the summer window, to justify 5 million quid???!!!

    What a fcuking joke…

No wonder Arsenal pull out of deals for so many players…
    Fcuk ’em.

Look at that bunch of ‘superstars’ the Spuds have got?!
    Value for money? My arse!!!

  179. Woody says:

Yeah fantastic support from the fans today – I was a bit concerned.

It could have been difficult had the Spuds scored first, but there was definitely a positive feeling in the stands today.

If we can get Ozil and a world class proven striker, plus one other then I will be chuffed to bits.

  180. BrainwashedKev says:

Ah Adam, I see that Mrs Adam ‘kicked off’ after the game… 😉

I don’t know about you mate, but sometimes she scares me… 😀

  181. BrainwashedKev says:

Have to say, that Le Quiff has certainly shown signs of improvement from last season…

Seeing young Jacks new quiff it seems that Olivier’s fashion sense is rubbing off on his team mates…

I wonder if Kroenke will get himself a quiffed syrup?

  182. agirlagunner says:

It’s 7 am here now, Nash. Won’t be able to go back to sleep.

Kev!! Well, I hope AW goes wild at the last day sales. 😀

Adam and potter, good to hear about the atmosphere at The Emirates. 🙂

  183. potter says:

A few extras would be handy , as the second half went on we were being pushed back and could not hold the ball, we needed fresh legs . Our bench needed a bit more,

  184. BrainwashedKev says:

Hi Agag, I just wish that Arsene Wenger showed as much enthusiasm as we do, when shopping for new players… 😉

It’s Midnight here Agag, 23 hours for Arsene to go as crazy as us in the January Sales 😀

  185. Adam says:

Kev. She’s a powerful woman to restrain, as you know.
Again I agree Potter. You could see that, in the second half we were losing control of midfield possession but the cupboard was bare. The defence were admirable and refused to let Spurs get in behind. Their most dangerous outfield player was Townsend but Lloris kept them in it. A striker is a must tomorrow.

  186. Wavy says:

Ozil. Clever really if it is to be him who comes to the Arsenal from RM in that all the attention has been focussed on di Maria, whT a blind! Clever, the Arsenal way!
Mind you we haven”t signed him yet.
Tomorrow, ne today whish is it that never comes?
Roll o the next nearly 24 hours. Xmas eve I’m opening my stocking, or T least I hope I am!

  187. BrainwashedKev says:

Looks like we’re being linked to some Hernandez guy, a striker who plays for Palermo…

Can’t see us managing to prise Benzema away from Real Madrid…

I’d still like to see us bid again for Suarez…
£45 million might persuade the Scousers, bearing in mind the form of Sturridge..
It would unsettle him and them again in any case, and it’s worth bidding just to fcuk with their stupid heads.,,

  188. BrainwashedKev says:

Ok you Happy Gooners, night to you all…

    Have a good day Agag…

I’ll tell ya what, go and treat yourself to those shoes you saw.
Go on, if Arsene can have a spend up, then why not you buddy???!

    Morning Lee….

  189. agirlagunner says:

Good night to the Adams 🙂

Kev, I very much like your last statement. If not tomorrow, we could get Suarez in January.

Hello, Wavy. It would be clever if we pull it off/ United does not pip us to it. I would still really like Suarez though.

  190. Wavy says:

Yeah, hideous creature that Suarez is I’d take him too. He is an exceptional player, totally unpredictable on the pitch and in life too. But he could become Arsenal’s Premiership winner, al la RVP grey badger greedy git little boy! One player, yeh he’d do for me!

  191. Scott from Oz says:

    Ozil hey?
    Reading it everywhere now.
Let us hope it is some of Wengers best work, because this wold be one sensational signing.
I am surprised Real are letting him go.

  192. devilgunner says:

Oh when the SCUM go sulking back,
Oh when the SCUM go sulking back
I dont wanna be in their number
Oh when the SCUM go sulking back.

Oh when the SPUDS finish behind,
Oh when the SPUDS finish behind,
I dont wanna be in their number
Oh when the SPUDS finish behind,

Oh why the Yids, do spend so much?
Oh why the Yids, do spend so much?
They would like to be in our number.
Oh why the Yids, do spend so much?

And now we won, albeit one nil,
And now we won, albeit one nil,
I prefer to be in our number
And now we won, albeit one nil,

  193. devilgunner says:

Good Morning Lady, Sir Gentlemen and Ladies.

    A fine morning it is.

Top of the NORTH LONDON to you all.

    Bragging rights???

Ha. Kev will be wearing a smile and a grin as wide as an ocean.

have you been spud hunting and bashing yet??

Rico….make sure you mention the word spurs in the headline. We might get a spuddie to bash in the comments.

  194. devilgunner says:

Ole Twitchy (the triffic one) wants the Togolump and Assou ekotto.

On loan with the spuddies paying half his wages. lol

  195. devilgunner says:

Bale has signed a 300kpw deal with RM.

That works out at £29.76 per minute.

So remember that while he is holding his tiny weeny friend peeing down the loo he is earning much more than you and me do in two hours work.

  196. devilgunner says:

I still would like us to sign Mata and maybe Torres.

Maybe Cabaye but on yesterday’s showing I think we should put the pivote to rest between Flamini, Ramsey, Wilshere and Arteta.

Then again if Ozil comes (and he would be a great welcome) it would enable us to have one of the strongest midfields in the EPL.

  197. Andrew says:

Yeah still hoping we get Ozil though he is truely world class likr santi!
    Abel hernandez is interesting………..

  198. devilgunner says:

    Good Morning Brad and Andy.

I still would like a combo of Ozil and Mata. But if one comes the other will not.

Hernandez is interesting. I have seen him play regularly and I like him. But not exactly one of the power houses. I doubt he will dislodge anyone of Theo, Giroud and Cazorla. Ox and Poldi are far superior to him.

But he can be an impact sub and good for rotation.

  199. Andrew says:

Exactly and at the age of 23 there is still room for development!…
I’ve always had a soft spot for him in Serie A!
Ozil looks the most like i just hope he sees that at the arsenal he can be main man along with Santi and Jack
    Can you imagine the football,,,!
Oh Viviano is coming today should challenge Schez!
He had 32 apps for Fiorentina last saeson and Largely impressed!

  200. devilgunner says:

    Morning Lady.

Mention the name spurs in the headline…..we might get to bash a few spuddy heads.

Seems as if Ozil has chosen us as well.

    Lets hope so.

  201. Andrew says:

Devil i do watch espn often at night!…Admitidlly it does bore the arse off me at times!
    Love watching Napoli or Roma!
    Have any team there!?

  202. potter says:

Not bothered about a new keeper to be honest . Strengthen the ones in front of him and he is fine. Ozil and Mata is Wenger going for his seven dwarf midfield again. ? It stuck out a mile yesterday ,Giroud was running on gas and air for the last 15 minutes and we had no-one to give him the break he needed, that’s when injuries occur.

  203. rico says:

Morning Devil, no mention of Spuds, don’t want them polluting HH 😉

Marca report we agreed terms with Ozil on Friday, fingers crossed.

  204. rico says:

I’d have to agree to a degree re the keeper potter. I’d love Begovic but before any keeper I’d rather we signed a big strong midfielder, striker and Ozil..

Our midfield definitely needs a bit more height and strength, Capoue looked good yesterday, albeit a bit rusty, he’d have been perfect for us.

There has to be someone out there, Fellaini maybe… 😉

  205. devilgunner says:

    I say it again Rico.

Aaron and Matthieu will dominate the midfield this year. Arteta will have a hard time getting in and I daresay that even Jack.

Yesterday Flamini and Aaron dominated midfield. They have energy to burn and run all the time. One is young and willing to discover what he can achieve. The other is old enough and experienced to know when to drive forward, cajole, sit back and what is needed.

It might be possible to see the following midfield formation…..

    Aaron,Flamini
    Theo, Ozil,Cazorla

    backup…..

    Arteta, Jack
    Ox,Rosicky,Podolski

And that is with Diaby on the bed.

So if we get Ozil do not expect another midfielder. Much as I would like Mata I do not see him coming if we get Ozil.

  206. emma says:

    Morning all,
Interesting TDD ahead. Hope it goes well for us
Marca reporting this morning that Ozil wants to stay with madrid. It’s going to be a fluid situation till the close of TDD

  207. devilgunner says:

I think its in this order…..

    1st option……..Ozil
    2nd option…….Draxler
    3rd option……..Mata.

If we get the 1st the other two will drop off.

  208. emma says:

Nothing is done until it appears on .com remember. It’s going to be a fluid situation which we all know it will be. Anything can happen

  209. devilgunner says:

    Cheers mate. Highly appreciated.

Looking forward to your predictions tomorrow.

Incidentally if you have a strong opinion about your predictions how come you have not yet decided who will be the unfortunate prick upon whom your predictions will fall?

At least can you tell us who you predict will sign for us today?

Make sure that the sum total of the transfer fees does not go beyond 69, 999,99 and 99c. Aw does like a little bit of loose change here and there.

  210. devilgunner says:

first of all I prefer him to the other two. keep that in mind.

secondly its how I think that AW is thinking. I might be right and I might be wrong.

I feel that AW’s top of the list is Ozil…..a marquee signing.

Draxler comes 2nd because AW likes young players who he can mould into superstars.

Mata comes 3rd for the simple reason that I do not think that Mourinho wants to do business with us and also because he has not yet handed in a transfer request. So unless he hands it in I see it happen only on a smaller percentage on the others. Schalke need the money. Likewise RM. The chavs do not need the money.

I hope you understand my line of reasoning and explanation.

If you want I can make it more simple…… 🙂

  211. devilgunner says:

As I have said earlier I prefer Mata and Torres then signing Ozil. First of all I think that 40 million will get us both of them. Ozil and Suarez will cost over 45 million each so getting Mata and Torres combined for less than that will make it 2 players with fewer money.

Secondly both know the premier leageu.

Thirdly and this is the most important……..Ozil and Suarez will come expecting to be the messiah. They will want to be the most important and this might make the others resentful. and if we get Mata and Torres both will have a point to prove and will be humble enough to know that AW will also play the others. So both of them have been scorned in the past and both will relish playing for us.

And fourthly it will increase our numbers.

  212. devilgunner says:

thanks for being so illuminating MG. I appreciate it a lot having people like you pointing out some plain basic things out.

    Highly appreciated.

  213. BrainwashedKev says:

    Morning All…

Marca and AS eh? Paragon’s of the truth….

Btw the Islington Gazette reckons we’re in for Benzema and the South London Press thinks Wenger will swoop for Grant Holt….

It ends at 11 pm, thank heavens…. 🙄

  214. devilgunner says:

Hiya Kev. How are you habib?

Seems as if you are tired of the TW. I am as well.

I would like the TW to open on 1st June and end on the 31st June. I think that it is enough for managers and DOF to do their businesses.

  215. emma says:

devilG – You and I know that Mata/Torres won’t happen. Mou won’t sanction it cause he is freaky scared of The Arsenal 😉

  216. BrainwashedKev says:

Any transfer into Arsenal today could depend on how much of a ‘backhander’ the parasite gets….

    For parasite read agent…

If Bale’s parasite can get £5 million for fcuk all then how much does Ozil’s parasite want to smooth thru a deal… A pox on all of their houses..,,

  217. devilgunner says:

I am more interested to see where the fiver will end up….Rico or Kev.

Is there anyone out there who can predict where that dratted fiver will end??? I am dying to know.

  218. malaga gooner says:

your welcome devil, seeing as your such an intelligent fellow, i know how hard it is for some 1 like you to get the simple things out in the open

  219. BrainwashedKev says:

Morning Coach, June 1st to July 31st for me.

That way the players will all be back from their holidays.

Letting it drag on another month just extends the agony…

  220. tsgh says:

    Morning all,

Surely not Ozil. Not a second time round… you can’t do that to your mentor at Bremen the BFG.

c’mon Mg, drop one on us please…

  221. tsgh says:

I think Wrighty has gone up in my estimation of him by admitting 2 times this week that if he knew what he knew now, he won’t have been so critical of AW.

  222. bradlop says:

I’m just glad that we are not dealing with Dein other than with Flamini.
That agent is a dog to our club.
I missed where Wilshere went off. Was he injured as I hear something about feeling sick like Sagna was.

  223. BrainwashedKev says:

Some of those sites on NewsNow, I fcuking hate them.

Forever regurgitating old news and doenright lies, I never click on them, every time you do they earn from advertisers…

Even some of the newspaper sites, which I read, they’re almost as bad…

I’ll be glad when all this shit is over…

  224. devilgunner says:

yes malaga gooner. you are right and I must accept this sorry state of affairs for my well being.

    again thanks and highly appreciated.

Kev……..Bale will fet 29.76 for peeing down the loo. I presume you get nought when you pee seeing that you cannot hold your best friend and the steering wheel at the same time 😆

  225. tsgh says:

If we can’t get Ozil or Mata, I will settle on Ayew for £20M.

But Ozil is the assist king. The very last of a dying breed of proper no.10’s left in the world of football..

  226. devilgunner says:

Hiya Ginginho. How are you mate.

Temperatures are normal now. That means that the little prince and I can go and splash in our lovely sea.

  227. tsgh says:

Good to hear Dev. Please for you and your boy.

I am good thanks for asking. I got my F5 prepped and ready for the next 14 hours. lol

Ozil is on 5M after tax. Wow.

  228. malaga gooner says:

how am i any different than the media,i think they get as much wrong as i do.

i have loads on between now any january,i lead an interesting life

  229. tsgh says:

I have no idea Mr. Adam… but he has changed his tune in the last few days. Even when he appeared on Sky on Tuesday he seemed a bit more pragmatic…

Last night after the game he was defending AW on radio and says he agrees with AW for not paying what his agent asked for 2 years ago after we had agreed a deal…

  230. tsgh says:

Andrew- Per was his mentor at Bremen… I heard Ozil even stayed with Per when he first joined the senior squad from SC04…

  231. stevepalmer1 says:

Morning all, Pundits saying that The Arsenal are a class act, I had to play it back and hear it again. Its at this time i would like to point out that Stan is doing a fine job, Not many would agree with me but football teams run smoothely when the manager controls the football side and Managment do their thing. I know i am being premature here but that is the faith i have with The Arsenal. We are without question the most classiest club around. Wenger keeps the lid on things and he still manages with the club the most important thing. Scandles and daft actions are limited and the clubs name is relativly clean. To be an Arsenal player today has lots of consequences there are strick rules in place and players are expected to toe the line. That is a well run outfit. Wenger has been tight lipped about his dealings but i have confidence that he wont let us down. We all have our favorites that we would like to see at the club, but Wenger the man who builds the teams would have players who will fit our system they will be informed on how he see’s their roll’s they will fit in like that daft signing of Flamini. I expect good signings today, and would be disappointed with less than 3 that would bring our intake to 5, which i believe is more than anybody predicted. Great NLD result, well done Wenger and the boys.

  232. devilgunner says:

seems as if a gentle wind has nudged the fiver a little bit.

where will it end????? East or west?? In a pocket or in a purse??

  233. tsgh says:

Hmm, AW wanted El- Shaaraway last January but Milan did not want to sell then…

He is another striker/winger though… I am not sure we need another of those.

    Ideally we need a proper winger or a no.10 plus a striker…

Aneke and Miguel come back in January… I will give them a chance too…

  234. Andrew says:

Really that sounds great! Hard to believe Per only turned 28 he seems so mature! What a result yesterday! Anyone watch Motd2?
The host was rubbish he got Giroud mixed up with Kos when he threw his shirt into the crowd!!

  235. tsgh says:

Mg, Kaka move to Milan confirmed too subject to medical….

Milan are now content with fighting for 3rd place so I guess a nice offer will tempt them…

  236. rico says:

I couldn’t find any confirmation last night either Ts, fingers crossed…

    Andrew, you’d think not but….

Ozil could be a smokescreen 😉

    Morning Adam

  237. devilgunner says:

    😆

According to the Real Madrid website, Gareth Bale has become the first “Welch” player to move to the Bernabeu.

    😆

  238. Andrew says:

    09.54 – @BenSmithBBC Tweets:
I am told #MUFC definitely NOT in for Mesut Özil. Working hard on deals for Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera. #DeadlineDay

    What larks!
    Please God let this happen…
Off to take the dog off for a walk!
He stung his leg yesterday I couldn’t figure out for the life of me what was wrong with him until I bathed his leg with salted water
