Midfielder to make Arsenal return in January & Good news from Arsene Wenger..

Morning all.

What better way to see out 2015 than with Arsene Wenger muttering the words:

We will be busy in the transfer window’…

He even went onto say that he’s already busy..

I’m already busy and I said already one month ago we are a bit short to deal with all the competitions we face, especially in midfield. We will be busy, yes.

If that’s not enough to wet your whistle, then him (allegedly) saying Gabriel is set for a lot more playing time, should. I’m actually surprised he’s not played more often already as he’s clearly a no-nonsense defender who won’t be bullied on or off the ball. Costa found that out although on that day, Gabriel was a little naive but to be fair, had the situation been dealt with properly on the day, Gabriel would have been the one left smiling instead of taking an early bath.

At least the FA tried to put things right but by then the three points had gone which is probably all they cared about!

Gabriel may have stepped in for Laurent Koscielny against Bournemouth but if he is to get more playing time, I think he’ll be paired with the man he replaced, rather than Mertesacker because the big German has been struggling a bit of late. He’s had his moments of brilliance but when he comes up against a a bit of speed, he struggles. I’m not suggesting for one minute he should be offloaded because blokes like him are good to have in the squad and he’s not quite ready for the compost heap yet…

Other mutterings from the manager’s press conference:

Will anyone will be back for Newcastle…

We might have Flamini back. Alexis will be too short for Newcastle. He [could] be back for Sunderland.

Arteta…

Arteta is back in training but is too short [of match fitness] to be selected in a competitive game.
on post-Bournemouth updates…

We have no new injuries from Bournemouth, only fatigue. Everybody is alright.

Rosicky…

He is three weeks away [from training] now.

Rotation…

Certainly we will rotate again. Everybody else in the squad against Bournemouth should be available.

Finally, Isaac Hayden is set to return to Arsenal after Hull City’s match against QPR at the weekend. That move has been confirmed by Steve Bruce on Hull City’s official website.

That’s it for Thursday. Actually, that’s it for 2015!!

Have a great evening guys and gals…

Joe, he must be doing something right…..plenty won’t admit it, but it’s fact.
Still, there’s plenty of room for improvement.
1 hour 44 minutes and counting, Rico.

    Morning All…

    Morning Rico, Scott, JM…

Coquelin had an average time at Frieburg on loan, before returning to Arsenal so we shouldn’t automatically write off Hayden.
With Debuchy leaving, Isaac could step into the squad as a straight replacement?
He won’t need to adapt to the English game and he knows the club already.
And he’s another English player who Sukky can slag off. It’s all win win…

  3. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good Morning Lovelies and Hunkies.

Who me being ironic Rico??? no way. I stand by what I said. In no way I was sucking up to Sukky either. I have my own opinion and I say it as I see it Lady. i wear my heart on my sleeve.

Kev….shame on you for saying……he’s another English player who Sukky can slag off. It’s all win win…………….sukky is always right. Right???? 😉

Well we have to accept that we are crap. Infact we are so crap and lightweight that in the EPL there are other 19 teams holding us up while there are what in total????? around 90 clubs till the 4th division??? we are so predictable that we only win by one or two goals. And teams laugh at us so much that they have allowed Cech to keep around 8 clean sheets this season.

Rico…….you have just written the crappiest post of the season.

Ahh well. I should go to a shrink and try to have an overhaul on my brain. I should not see it so negatively.

Sukky….wtf did you smoke or drink or inhale man???

Can I change my name to Smeagol or Gollum Rico???? Or do you prefer Devil???

You busy with all the cooking, lady?

  6. agirlagunner says:

Happy New Year, Dev!! Any traditional holiday dishes you serve in Malta?

rico, you drinker, you!! I’ll have some of that with the roast pork we’re having for dinner! 😛

  7. Joaquim Moreira says:

yes, I’m watching too and also in New Zeeland.
So, when we expect news from Arsenal? At the weekend or only next week?

  8. Wavy says:

Happy new year Scott and Agag, and 11 hours on, all other HH readers and contributors. 2015 has been a good year lets all wish that 2016 is even better. If you know what I mean?

  9. Wavy says:

Oh and of course a very Happy New Year to Rico and her support group who have added spice to all things Arsenal. We all know it’s hard work creating and generating new articles on a daily basis and we are all truly grateful for what we receive, long may it continue.

  10. agirlagunner says:

  11. Hell Raising Devil says:

Afternoon, I too must hone in by wishing Rico and all who work with and contribute to the Website, a very happy new year, still the only one I would, or have ever posted on,
I may not post as much as others, but always know when i get home at nights, my go to thing to do has always been to read the well thought out and thought provoking topics and the posted comments, Long may it continue.
    To the year ahead.

  13. Sukky says:

Am finally back after almost 13 months. It’s so good to be back. Where’s kev, Adam and Co? Rico, you also believe we can win the title? #FindMyRico

  14. agirlagunner says:

Dev, that all sounds so yummy! I just might hold you that when (not if) I make it to your neck of the woods! 😀

Happy New Year, dublingunner!! I second that! 🙂

Sukkyyyyy!! Yeah, it’s been a while! happy New Year!

  15. Sukky says:

I think Isaac Hayden is a DM and can also play as CB. He’s not a full back. If we sell debuchy, who will cover for Bellerin?? Cambers? We all know he’s shit playing RB, Jenkinson? Headless chicken. Flamini? Or maybe we will buy a full back.

  16. Bob John says:

Happy New Year to all of you. I think we all know what we are wishing for in 2016! But I don’t suppose Ellie Goulding will be knocking on my door anytime!
    Big love everyone x

  17. agirlagunner says:

We need a DM and an LB at a minimum, Sukky. If Wenger is on baller mode, maybe, he’d even get us a striker! Flamini should retire, isn’t he now worth gazillions?

    Happy New Year, Bob John!!

  18. Joe says:

Happy new year to one and all and to Scott who is now in the future what’s it like ☺
    Agag hope your doing well

  19. agirlagunner says:

Happy New Year, dear Joe!! I’m doing great, I hope you are, too! just an hour to go until the New Year here. Fireworks are poorly regulated here, so the noise levels are deafening but the sky is alight an pretty!!

  20. Hell Raising Devil says:

why not Alexis you might ask??

He does not form part of the spine. He plays laterally usually so although his importance to the team is a very big one ask yourself the question……did we cope without him?? the answer is yes.

The above will be the spine AFC will have in 2016/17

  21. rico says:

    Afternoon guys and gals…

Thanks for all the New Year wishes, I wish you all a great 2016 full of good health, happiness and Arsenal trophies… 🙂

I am looking forward to seeing Isaac in our colours once again I only hope they don’t send him on loan once again.

Happy House how fitting is that?!?!?!
Happy New Year to all my friends (house mates) I hope 2016 brings you happiness, health, wealth and the fucking premier league title!!!

  27. Lee says:

Quote Woody Allen “In my next life I want to live my life backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in an old people’s home feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch and a party on your first day. You work for 40 years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement. You party, drink alcohol, and are generally promiscuous, then you are ready for high school. You then go to primary school, you become a kid, you play. You have no responsibilities, you become a baby until you are born. And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa-like conditions with central heating and room service on tap, larger quarters every day and then Voila! You finish off as an orgasm!” Enjoy 2016!!!??

  28. Adam says:

Agag and Brudder. Yes, Mrs Adam is in full champers mode. Hope you are well and I send my very best.

No chance of catching up Scott…

Rick, you stay well and we’ll have a natter in the New Year…
    Coach, take care mate….

  33. tsgh says:

Happy New Year and all the best wishes to the fellow HHers.
And Rico, hope with all your hard work over the past years for all HHers AW and his boys reward with a big trophy in May.
Wath- may the gods of GG fill your barrel to the fullest…

  34. scottfromoz says:

    Morning all 🙂
Kev, I only managed one beer last night-true story lol.
Wifey had to work so I was in charge of Sean, so we went ou for a meal and washed it down with a lovely ale.
    Boring.
    Old age kicking in.
    Ready for retirement Hahahaha.
How long have you all got to go?
    AGAG and Devil….HNY already.

  35. Micko says:

    Happy New Year Gooners !

Hope you got somewhere safe to bury tonite’s takings Kev lol !

Give us a twirl rico or should I say take a bow, it’s not true what Wath says about ya !

Scott, a puppy for the pavement and an ole dog for the road !!! 1 hour and counting.

Have a great evening guys, always a pleasure, never a choir.

  36. scottfromoz says:

    Devil, you’re a good man.
    Something very few know…..
Two years ago, my wife and I were tossing up whether or not to send Sean to the Football school he now attends.
My concern was putting too much pressure on the kid.
Devil kindly did a little research on the net about the school and it’s set up.
I remember him asking could he come over and coach there, basically telling me it was a no brainer as the entire system was equal to anything, anywhere.
    That did it for me.
So, in 10 years time, if there are a bunch of drunken Aussies at every Arsenal game cheering on Sean Jackson, you can all blame Devil, as it was he who, inadvertently, set Sean on his journey.
From the bottom of our hearts, the Jackson’s offer you a massive thanks, Devil, as 2 years on, I can safely say it’s the best decision we ever made regarding our son, and if he doesn’t make it, it most certainly won’t be due to a lack of trying, or opportunity.
One day we shall meet 🙂

  37. allezkev says:

Mick, I made sure it was stashed away safely before I went on the razz…

Rico, that Cava is quite good boss ?

    Scott, one beer!
    Ffs what’s happening blue…?

  38. rico says:

    Morning Sukky and all…

Micko, did you catch my twirl? I did one just for you, then fell over…

Kev, cheers, just seen the fizz, hope you enjoyed it… 😉
