Midfielder in for Sunday… ex Barca striker on radar.

Afternoon all,

Another quiet day,  The transfer window is half way through and very little of interest has happened so far has it.

We have had it confirmed from the Boss that Mikel Arteta and Mathiey Debuchy will both miss the best part of the next three months due to injuries and subsequent operations. I am glad the Boss also expressed his opinion that the shove on Debuchy was totally out of order yet the FA deem that it wasn’t worth looking into, We all know if it had been an Arsenal player who had pushed someone he’d of been hung drawn and quartered by now……  Pathetic..!

Krystien Bielek is apparently in the squad to play Man City tomorrow according to some reports. How can that be true when Arsenal have not even confirmed the signing of the player yet. It seems the young man will be signing for us very soon and seems a great prospect but we’ve had many great prospectsa who have not quite made the grade and what we really need now is someone in the central midfield who can come straight into the team and boss a game physically and who gives us tempo as well. We’ve needed that for a while though haven’t we.

It seems that we are also interested in ( looking at ) Antonio Sanabria from Roma who we were also supposed to of been interested in before he left Barcelona last year. I think we are as usual being linked with players that we have no interest in what so ever as an agent is looking for a new contract for his player or hinting his player wants more game time etc etc etc…. The list goes on, you get the point.

The game tomorrow is being billed as the Sanchez v Aguerro match but I think it’s more like who can defend better. City have over the last few weeks let in soft goals and been poor defensively but we all know our defence at times resembles a tea bag and yes sometimes has even more holes. Can our midfield protect the defence a little better and give us some power through the spine. Will Ramsey play next to Coq with Santi given the free role to pull the strings, should Rosicky have that role as he tends to give us tempo when on the ball and also isn’t shy to get back and defend either.

The Boss has options to decide upon and we have players who can most definitely get at City and cause them problems but we also need to make sure we can compete with them in the middle of the park and we need to work as a unit at the back.

That can be discussed more in tomorrows post.

That’s your lot for today.

Have a good one.

    Afternoon all……

    Have we signed anyone…?

Ok in that case back down the pub me thinks…. Micko… get ya head out that pint glass…!

“He is destroyed,” Wenger said, “because he is such a keen player, so professional, so willing. It is his first year here and of course he is embarrassed. But it is not his fault.” Wenger described Marko Arnautovic’s push, which caused Debuchy’s awkward fall, as “not needed”. F—K this, Its all the more reason to get this team and f—ckin shake and shake them and tell them that’s it, No more getting kicked. MAN UP and lay in to this Man City or whoever comes our way. Enough is enough . And Im sure I will hear , “we havn,t got the players to do it. But I,m sorry its nothing got to do with that, it,s the mentality, Rico I managed to read Yesterdays post last evening.” You stated, Stoke never battered Newcastle players the way, that” thug battered him last weekend and to think the FA thought it was all in a day’s work”. Spot On Rico , as I said last week myself, Stoke break our bones and continue to get away with it, So frustrating, but wouldn’t it be nice for once, to be the kickers, and not be the kicked. Sorry for the Rant.

Dublin, People don’t get away with it on Sanchez cos he’s feisty and gets up and gives them a dig back… Paul Davis wasn’t big either yet he seemed to put one on Glen Cockerill that made ppl take notice…. You don’t have to be big to get stuck in and make sure you don’t get bullied, we have to many softies but maybe that also comes from that nice atmosphere in the dressing room of non-confrontational…?

  4. Wath says:

Amazing that the only bloody camera in the ground caught him doing it Bt…. I was standing there saying to my mate, why that geeza laying there on the floor… lol

  5. Wath says:

Exactly Paula, So how can so many sites say he in the squad for the match tomorrow….? The worst thing is how many will believe it’s true lol

  6. babakrdaemi says:

I think he is the squad of 25 players, not match day sqauds. Akpom and Zalalem are also in the 1st team squads – but don’t play.

I don’t think he will play a lot, maybe V Brighton, but I can’t see the guy being used much. He is 4th choice at least. Don’t forget Coq isn’t in the squad because Flamini got injured, he is in the squad because Ox got injured and Ramsey, Jack and Arteta were injured as well. So in reality he is behind at least six players away from the team.

I’m not gonna get to hot under the collar just yet, unless he gets in the team for Spuds, then i’ll worry.

    COME ON THE GUNNERS

  7. Dublingunner says:

Never thought i,d condone thuggery as part of our game. But it would certainly produce a wry smile, if i could see a bit more of it from our lads, too many times of late have i seen us succumb to it. and for Steve Bould, either he has mellowed with age, or he is not being allowed to instill he,s leadership and fighting qualities throughout team. which begs the question , what is the point in having him, there.

  8. Wath says:

Dublin, I can vouch for Boiudy being no shrinking violet….. Why indeed is he there if he not allowed to instill a bit of fight and attitude…!

Krystian Bielik is on the verge of completing his £2.5m transfer to Arsenal after the club agreed a fee with Legia Warsaw and the 17-year-old underwent a medical on Friday. Arsene Wenger confirmed the deal was in place to sign the defensive midfielder in his press conference on Friday, although contrary to reports he will not be eligible to play against Manchester City as he wasn’t registered for this weekend’s action before the Friday afternoon deadline. However, Wenger did confirm that he will go into the club’s first-team plans immediately despite his inexperience.

  10. Wath says:

The wankers in the media are forever shit stirring when it comes to us mate nothing changes so why let it worry ya….

  11. Rick says:

Afternoon Wath Kev and anyone else.
There is something else the media are forgetting he cannot play any form of football untill we have got international clearence for him.
We have fallen foul of this rule this season and we will not make the same mistake with this lad.
Belick has said Arsene has told him he willTrain with the first team but play with the U18, U19 and U 21. Different to what the press are saying.
This morning a very young and very weak U18 team lost to Reading 2-1,
thie is Nine games without a win.

  12. Wath says:

    Hi. Rick,
Yep no clearance and no games but the press forget that not everyone is stupid to think we believe everything they print.

Rick, seems it’s gonna take a while for the youngsters to start winning with the change in the way things are run… Am sure we will maybe only see the benefit of Jonker next season.

  13. Rick says:

Kev some imfo on Graicer(Czech Lad).
I hear he is in the next Scholarship intake in july and cannot sign a contract untill then .. this means he can only play as a school boy untill then.
Wath The way things are playing out I get the fealing we are concentrating on the U18 cup the U19 cup and the U21 league. We have some hard games in these 3 coming up and I think our older players are being held back for these games.

  14. Wath says:

    Bollox, f’kin mancs….

Kev, matters not what the Chavs do what matters is mancs dippers n Yiddish they the ones we need to beat to 3rd or 4th….!

  15. Wath says:

Think your right Rick, hold back the elder players for cup runs keep the young ones all together to fight it out and learn together…! Getting a thumping and learning as one sometimes helps make a team and players… Learn it’s not a silver platter laid out for you it’s something you need to fight for if you wanna make it

  16. rico says:

Results didn’t do us a favours today! 🙁

Hope Newcastle can get all 3 points tonight…

    Evening all….

Thanks for the post Wath – Tetleys or PG??

dublingunner the one thing you fail to take into account when you say arsenal should lay into city or anyone who comes our way, and that we should do the kicking and not be the ones kicked, is that there is one rule for our opponents and a totally other rule for our players, we get players booked and sent off for barely committing a foul, the likes of Dean would do a little jig of delight at the chance to send off an Arsenal player. I don’t know the final stats from last season, but near the end of it, Arsenal had by far the least number of fouls to cards in the FAPL, and as we all know we seldom commit nasty fouls, so I’m at a loss to explain why refs are so quick to book our players. We’ve seen it this season, opponents keep getting final warnings, but our players one foul = a booking. Its one of the big things that is over looked

  18. rico says:

ed, we all know its one rule for them and another for us but like others on here today, I’d love that table to be turned and it was us allowed to get away with what do many teams against us do…

    We’d win the league… Lol

  19. Wath says:

When we got stuck in and were physical yes we had players sent off and suspended but we never got bullied and amazingly we won the league as well or finished in the top two… If your squad good enough all their one rule for them and us makes no difference…! It never used 2…!

  20. eduardo says:

wath it always made a difference, we would have won several more titles and cups but for the amount of players we got easily sent off, the invincibles should have been a third or fourth straight league title, we would also have won back to back leagues in 99. We had an outstanding team for five or six years and they still had to be at their very best nearly all the time to win the league, it made a difference big time, despite the titles we did win.

  21. Wath says:

The point is we still won things…… Yes we got cheated and conned always have and always will. I never said it never made a difference but we still managed to win things because we were that good, took 14 men and shit decisions to stop us wiping the floor but it’s never been any different…!

  22. Wath says:

My biggest issue back then was even winning we didn’t complain enough, you moan when you lose its sour grapes or you’re a bad loser so why didn’t we moan more about the shit decisions and the bias officials when we were winning…. Missed a trick there…!
    Not the Arsenal way though…!

  23. eduardo says:

we have more rich clubs to contend with now, than then, that makes a big difference too.

I agree to a point about we should complain when we win, but I think we all know it would make no difference in a good way, in fact I think it would only mean refs would target us more, and media would ignore it more. We don’t have backers in the media, look at the difference in our ex players working in the media and how ex liverpool, or utd or chelsea guys go about it.

  24. Wath says:

Don’t agree about since Riley, there were as many if not more turds around than him before he took charge.
Manu or Vieira always managed to be suspended for a Manc game, it was a given. We just happened to be a far better team then to now.
If we also honest decisions you see week in week out are utterly pathetic and it’s always the 3/4 teams that seem to benefit
We get stitched up so why not moan it cannot of got worse, when you win and moan even neutrals take note, no one does when you lose and whinge.

  25. rico says:

Find it hard to disagree Wath, whinging after a defeat is easy, I’d like to see AW send Bould out to face the press after we have won but highlight the errors made by the officials. Last weekend was a prime example…

  26. Wath says:

If we were good enough Kev other results are pretty irrelevant so shows us we not when we so concerned with other results.
Only result that bothers me is the yids and that’s cos I hate the cnuts and just want them to lose every game……

The rest….. Not interested 2b honest, we win other results are quite meaningless.

  27. Wath says:

How can any sensible person not see the shove on Debuchy was outrageous, off the pitch and the ball had gone. Why not say we have had players sent of this season for less…. Would the media be so quiet if one of our players did that to an opponent..?

The best way to highlight things is when you don’t need to, if you have won is the best time. We just won’t do it.

  28. Wath says:

Stats are misleading Joe, I rather trust my own eyes and as for stats just ask Ts he knows they up to shit lol hey Ts… 😉

  29. allezkev says:

    Almost finished for the day…

I forgot to say when he was here, but that was a great post Wath…
    (always been a terrible liar 😉 )

  30. rico says:

🙂 Kev, I like the Voice, but I can listen and stay on here lol

    Don’t you go upsetting Wath now…. 😉

Thanks Ts, is he any good?

  31. allezkev says:

Thanks for the info Rick, maybe Bielik is gonna be a part of those crucial games as well.

I heard that BOO is fit again, so we should have quite a tasty U21 squad and most of the kids can also play the U18/U19 games.

Long overdue Arsenal picking up some silver wear at that level…

  32. allezkev says:

Good point Wath, yes we had a succession of players sent off, many of them, too many imo, were harshly sent off…

But we had a strong team/squad, both physically and mentally.

And how good did it feel to beat all those Northern cnuts with only 10 men… 😀

  33. allezkev says:

Great points about complaining Wath, whether we win or lose, it makes no difference.

Wenger should continually highlight poor decisions and game changing mistakes by referees…

Notice how Mourinho is right on it…

And he won’t give up either.

Eventually the refs will start favouring the Chavs again.

Probably just in time for their visit to the Grove!!!

They will anyway, Whether things are worse or not since Riley took over is immaterial . We don’t get a fair shake and his actions at Old Toilet in the 50th game just summed it all up.

  36. allezkev says:

“Let’s see on Sunday, but I believe, yes, we are on a level [with City],” he said. “Winning big games makes you stronger and we should not question our potential to do it. We just have to turn up with the right level of performance.

    So says Arsene…

We are on the same level as Man City!

    Really?

Well we’ll know what our level is, at around 5.50pm tomorrow…

    Night All….

    Have some coffee Fred… 😉
    Night mate
