Lacazette or Higuain to sign shortly…

Well if you believe the gossip columns and social media that is……….

The days roll by with little of no news and after Alexandre Lacazette took to twitter to favourite a comment made by an Arsenal fan that Wenger likes the player and wants to negotiate a deal with Lyon stories are now abound that we will be signing him………. We all know Aulas the Lyin president can’t stand Wenger so is there any hope of a deal? Will money talk? Will we pay what Lyin want or does Lacazette have a release clause that means if triggered he can be sold to who ever.

In many respects Lacazette ticks all the right boxes for us, he is different to what we have and he also plays well with Giroud when they have been teamed up for the french national side which is more than can be said for that bloke at Madrid you know the one that Benzema fella.

The higuain stories keep on and on and on…. Yawn…. Yet as we have all mentioned why pay for a striker we could of bought for millions less a year or so ago… I think there is now way we want him and if we ever did want him then it did not happen for what ever reason. I think there are better around and better value, he can’t even take a penalty either…!

If Wenger really feels he needs a striker then Lacazette would i feel fit into our style but does Wenger really think we need a striker..? Don’t we have enough… Are they not already good enough..?

How can anyone think we don’t need to strengthen central midfield when we are potentially an injury away to Le Coq away from Arteta and Flamini centrally…? That for me is the no brainer and the position that most needs to be filled.

We are flying off to Singapore this evening and am sure as said before a few of the younger players will be keen to show their quality but we still need the experienced quality buy for central midfield in my view.

The gossip columns are also saying we prepared to listen to offers on Cazorla and Monreal…. Is that due to contracts running down and they made a good story or do these rumours have legs..? Could be a bit of both in reality, Both are quality players but both now on the 30 years of age mark and is Wenger thinking cash in buy the same quality but who are younger players..? The wheeler deeler in Wenger is always looking to get value from players and always looking to try and recoup an outlay maybe its him just tryin to balance the books with players who younger as good and who could improve…. Just a thought.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Afternoon you lot, Welcome back Rico…..!

Amazing reading how players join a club like the barcodes then tell the world they turned down the likes of Arsenal, Mancs and Livpoo to join said club…..

Actually its cos the decent clubs never wanted you… Mugs…! Decent clubs meaning Arsenal… the other two are pretty crap and only sign players by paying way over the odds on transfers and wages….! Funny really though.

  2. rogerbij says:

Thanks for putting the fire in my belly, Wath.
Lacazette + top DM (Schneiderlin or similar) = Premier League title. I really think so.

I also think Roger Federer in 5 sets. Comeon!!

  3. goonster says:

Wath 😀 that’s it?? You call this a post? A half drunk pissed chicken could do better 😀

  4. Wath says:

Roger, From what I have seen of Lacazette and that’s not much if I am honest he is quick direct and knows where the goal is, he also gets stuck in and grafts. He also seems to play pretty well with Giroud which would allow us if we wanted to go 4-4-2 if necessary. Him and a top quality central midfielder and I agree with you we’d be ultra competitive…!

  5. Wath says:

Yep it’s up to my normal standard Stan but then again so is your comment full of hot air and bull… Pretty much like your gonads.. Non existent…! You’ll be squeaking like a chicken once Rico slices them off with a blunt instrument..!

  6. goonster says:

Hahahahahahahahahah blunt?? I knee you were crazy but that’s going overboard! !! Blunt he says. Hahahahahahahah

  7. Wath says:

He is not in the travelling party Jp….. Nor is Hayden and a few others that may of thought they would of got the call…! Maybe it means a season long loan is on the cards..?

Who knows what Arsene has planned…!

  8. Wath says:

    The pub calls so laters……….

In a vice Stan cut off with a blunt spoon……….. That should at least shut you up……….!

    Probably not…………..

  9. rogerbij says:

Ya Wath, if you watch the Lacazette compilations on youtube, one thing that strikes me with his goals is the variety. Both brutal shots, fox in the box stuff, headers, chips, speed and rounding defenders etc. He scores the lot. Really reminds me of Drogba with that power and poise. I wouldnt hesitate for 30m. And I wouldnt drop 30m on Higuin unless desperate…

  10. sw23 says:

i feel walcott is a better striker than both of them. his movement off the ball is just different class, his finishing isnt thaf bad either!

  11. Dublingunner says:

Afternoon, Friend of mine text, ,”word is” a club record fee of 49 million for Mario Gotze is on the table, he would play as a no,9. Most probably b***sh*t, but if true could be Cazorla,s replacement. Oh the rumours!

  12. Wath says:

I wouldn’t drop 30million Zimbabwe dollars for Higuain Roger…. I think he well over rated.

I don’t care if you not finished with your dinner Stan…. I got way better things to do with my Sunday afternoon than listen to your drivel… Way more interlectual to listen to Brianna alas she can’t type yet…!

Ah the gossip DG… Thing is Arsene has always liked Gotze but for me as good as he is he another luxury player definitely don’t graft for the team.

    Right, I’m gone…………..

  13. Wath says:

SW, that’s why I asked do we really need another Striker….? We have Theo, Welbeck and Akpom…. Isn’t a proper world class central midfielder more of a priority than a striker..? I’d say all day long… A world class striker would then be a bonus…!

  14. goonster says:

Gee wath you sound angry 😀 it’s all banter Mon fre 😀 don’t take it personal. If you don’t like it just tell me and I ll drop it. Sheesh. Lol

  15. goonster says:

Lol yeah right 😀 wath just called me dunce. Intellect??? Nah that’s far away from me 😀 am a brainless lunatic tooting a shot gun 😀

  16. rico says:

    Just a quick visit.

Goonie, having read back over the last 24 hours, can’t say I’m overly impressed with some of your stuff fired at Wath. Let’s get back to football and fun without all the other crap eh…. Thanks..

  17. goonster says:

Gee rico it’s just all for fun. You know I love wath. Everyone here know I was just messing with him. If I hurt his feelings or anyone’s else I apologize. Like I said it’s all banter.

  18. goonster says:

Plus I never really attacked the man just joking about his writing which is top notch. I can’t do what he does. He’s doing a remarkable job behind the scenes. It’s just how we tease each other. Dev teases me all the time. Even adam and kev. It’s all for fun rico. I promise I ll stop it. Go back to football like you said. Am sorry.

  19. goonster says:

And here I go….sorry guys. I ll be a different me henceforth. No more over the top comments. Am done. Am sorry wath forgive me rico.

  20. rogerbij says:

Bloody hell, tennis from another planet. Federer epic tie break comeback in the second!! Breathless stuff .

  21. frednerk says:

All theses strikers…The last time we were linked with that many
we were all doing a 3-day week.
    Come back Arther Scargil.

  22. TT says:

He will play Cazorla, Chambers, Rosicky, Ramsey, Wilshere and Ox before he plays Arteta and Flamini together.

  23. allezkev says:

That’s more like it Stan, stick to football buddy. Leave it to me to insult Wath, he loves it… 😉

  24. allezkev says:

    Nice one Fred…

Coach, an interesting clutch of clubs interested in Gnabry, one or two of them might have an eye on trying to sign him permanently at the end of the loan..,

Technically, I think he’d benefit most from playing at Southampton, they’re such a well run club and play great football..,

Playing for Pulis at West Brom would definitely toughen him up, much like Jacks loan to Bolton.
He’d probably play more games as well…

Villa under Sherwood, plenty of games.
Newcastle under Carver, plenty of games.
CPalace under Pardew, plenty of games.
But I’m not sure he’d learn as much at either of those three as he’d learn at Southampton or West Brom?

  25. allezkev says:

£45 million for Sterling is about £25 million more than he is worth…

I sense another Shaun Wright-Phillips in the making at Wastelands…

  26. allezkev says:

Jonny Evans’ attacking capabilities are very underrated Adam…

He could be our new ‘Fox in the Box’….

  27. Adam says:

Kev. When you read a transfer story like this in Metro, you know you have to take it seriously. Stranger things have happened. 🙂

  28. Rick says:

    Evening Rico and the House.
Once again I am playing catch up on some good posts.
    Re the rumours on loans.
If you listen to (and believe) N/N Jeorge Bird and others who claim to be
in the know Akpom, Gnabry Hayden Iwobi Crawley and Zelamin are all joining
Niles on long loans. Now that is the spine of our U21 team and I just do not see all of them going on loan.
In respect of Gnabry and Hayden having watched them in the U21’s and u20’s
I think they are both not fully fit and I want to see them remain under Shad until they are
Sorry this is short see you latta

  29. allezkev says:

Some great pictures there Joe, seems to be a good spirit in the camp…

That’s interesting Rick, wonder what happened there?
Adelaide got a knock in training perhaps or maybe Toral impressed Wenger, again in training?

Pleased for Toral all the same, hope he makes the most of the opportunity…

    Morning All….

Morning Wath, how’s it going mate…

  30. Adam says:

Morning Rico and all. So, no Schniederlin then. And no Sterling either. Still, Jonny Evans perhaps and an Algerian LB.

  31. allezkev says:

Van Gaals transfer activity is bordering on the edge of desperation…

How much has he spent so far?

What does that say about the squad that Ferguson left behind?

  32. Adam says:

Kev. With Pep on the distant horizon I imagine he feels he has to win something quickly. With a head the shape of his, it all makes perfect sense.

  33. tsgh says:

    Morning all..

    Welcome back Rico.

When you were gone there was a bloke caling himself What or Wath posting shocking stuff on here; he allowed a red-neck goonie on here too… 🙂

    ”30million Zimbabwe dollars” classic
Just be careful though Wath; if you didn’t know Mugabe’s wife has sleepers in London who can drop a pill or 2 in your GG for making such comments about the Z$?

Listening to all the scousers on the radio saying how Sterling is not worth even £20m is comical.

  34. tsgh says:

Hmm, I rate Schweinsteiger but £30m plus for a 31 y.o who has been dropped by Pep for Alaba, Rode, Gaudino, Lahm in 2 years….?

Good bit of business by Karl Rummenigge & FC Hollywood.

  35. Adam says:

Rico. If he became available I would imagine that MU would be interested. Something about LVG has ‘short-term’ written all over it to me.

  36. rico says:

Adam, I get what you mean about ‘short-term’ – I thought he was an odd appointment really…

    Lee, that’ll please AW..

  37. Adam says:

Arsenal really wanted Pogba last year. The £49 mill/£200k per week deal for Sterling kind of rearranges player valuation in some bizarre, unrealistic way. Or perhaps not. It all depends on how crazy and desperate you are.
