Judge me in May, which one Arsene? Will he stay another few years yet?

Morning Gooner’s,

I have to admit that since we got knocked out of the last trophy chance we had, I have been more than a little deflated.

Yes I know you hear this all the time but that 7 years is now 8 years and we look no nearer to changing that statistic for the time being.

Word is that the Arsenal manager has started to pressurise the players into putting in a bit more effort in the last seven games. Wenger has supposedly told the players that he expects them to finish the season strongly, telling them that their Arsenal futures depend on it. He’s also said that he expects results and that he has plans to make big changes for next season and if he doesn’t see the commitment in the players, then he will be happy to buy and sell accordingly…

Arsenal’s board seem quite happy to let Wenger manage the team in his usual way, after all he has finished the last sixteen years in the top 4 and that is a feat for any manager in the world. But I think the board now realise that the fans aren’t happy with just a top four finish. Nor are they happy watching us get dumped out of the cups so easily, especially the domestic ones.

I would imagine that the board have by now spoken to Wenger about his contract which is coming to an end. No doubt they want to know if he’s decided to sign a new contract or to walk away, as this Arsenal team has just not performed as well as is needed.

The Board will no doubt  have been very pleased with Wenger’s top 4 finishes over the years as qualification to Champions League has produced a massive £30 million every year since champions league started 16 years ago. They also know that Wenger’s spending has been pitiful as far as supporters goes, but financially,  for the club, it’s been very successful.

Wenger has been very successful as far as getting top four finishes, but as for trophies, he has been a failure of late.

Every little chance we have had in the Carling Cup, Capital One  Cup, FA Cup and even the Champions League has been a bitter let down for Arsenal fans. Either last minute goals or sending’s off or bad refereeing decisions has always stood between us winning something but when supporters look at the bigger picture, most of these games could and should have been won. They would have been had we had just one or two players of a higher standard on the pitch.

Whether supporters are behind Wenger or not, they must surely be questioning why we keep falling short and perhaps the board are asking the same.

If Wenger decides to move on, can the Board  replace him with the same kind of Manager, can they see another man  getting us into the top four next year?

If so, can he do it without spending vast amounts of money, can he get the supporters behind him, or, could things get decidedly worse should he leave.

Arsene Wenger has in all fairness been a stalwart Arsenal man and he’s played a key part in helping the club balance the books.

We don’t know whether Wenger has had any restrictions on his spending or if he has been told to keep  players wages down to certain levels but I feel that must be the case as who would sell the only players to help us reach top 4 if he hasn’t been directed from above?

I can see Wenger signing another long term contract and I can see the Board doing everything in their power to keep him. Wenger is no quitter, he will believe he can turn this around and if finances are made available Wenger would be the right man to lead us.

Wenger is stubborn, he will want to leave Arsenal at the top and I expect that as Wenger is only 63 years old, he would rather carry on here rather than start again some where else.

Arsenals situation has changed from being deeply in debt with the move to the Emirates, to a club that earns a healthy profit. If Wenger is allowed to spend as many believe he will be able to, this summer could finally be the one where we sell the deadwood and buy 2/3 quality players.

Other than that its in the hands of the Gods as who ever else comes in would want a healthy transfer fund.

Although  have written all this, I would like to see change. I’d like like to see a new man with new idea’s in charge. With a healthy transfer amount in his pocket, he would breathe new life in Arsenal’s history.

For years now, at around this time of year I have heard Wenger say that things are changing but when the new season begins, the same old vulnerabilities rear their ugly heads.

I am done with false promises and am now looking for change, a breath of fresh air and belief that we are heading forwards.

Wenger continuously says judge him over the sixteen years he’s been here, I feel he would love to still be saying that in ten years time, what’s your view?

    Morning Gooners
Morning Rico, Lee, Wath and Adam

The Mancs will probably need 12 more points to clinch the EPL title.
That means they could do it at the Grove… 🙁

  2. rico says:

Good read Sp, I’m actually having a change of heart, mind you, I seem to do that daily when it comes to Arsene Wenger.

I ask myself what is the point in changing the manager if the board won’t change their ways?

I’d still like to see AU and AW work together…

  3. allezkev says:

Morning Sir Stevo, a great post, yet again…

I wouldn’t be totally surprised if Wenger doesn’t go into his final season without signing a new contract.
That way, if his spending ‘has’ be curtailed by the Board and in particular Kroenke, then that will give him more leverage to squeeze more funds out of them this Summer…

  4. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning all.
Kev, we will smash the bastards at home mate 🙂
I want the board to come out and tell us Wenger not only HAS 70-80 million to spend, but that 70-80 WILL be spent.
None of these slithers of info that he has x amount of dollars to spend if he wants to, because none of us can really say whether it is there or not.
Stand up and tell us it is there and will be used.
If Wenger spends it, plus whatever he makes off sales, then he should be given one season andone season only to get us back to the top and competing.
Even if we do not win a trophy, as long as we are truly competing at the top level and not losing quarter finals, nor finishing 10-15 points off the PL leaders, i would be content.

  5. goonerkitt says:

I feel that maybe Wenger’s time is up. For a man so unwilling to give top quality players over 30 anything more than a 1 year contract extension(Bergkamp, Pires, etc), his insistence on playing players out of position until all their talent or potential has been sucked out of them (Arshavin, Bendtner, etc), his policy of trying to play tippy, tappy all the time, his lack of any real tactical play, his inability to recognise a weakness (Almunia, Flaps, Chezza, The defensive midfielder conundrum, The back four playing to high a line and getting caught weekly, etc), his insane post match comments, his super, super qualitee signings that never materialise and much, much more. If the board do offer him a new contract it should only be a 1 year, incentive driven contract, make him earn his money, because in the real world you don’t get 8+ years to do your job properly.
    Top post by the way!

  6. Wavy says:

Morning and yes, of course! Why npt? He could become player manager!
Well, I think I’ll go and have a reality check at the local sanitorium!
Leave it with me I’ll get back to you, if they let me out.

  7. tsgh says:

    Morning all…

This is more like the old Sir SP… very good post putting the question out there…

Have you seen the Lewandowski link or alleged negotiation?

  8. tsgh says:

Hi Rico. Having a change of heart for AW…. wonders shall never end! I have to get me a lottery ticket. 😀

  9. W.A.T.H says:

Morning All, How’s that tea AK…?
Adam you still in your nightie and curlers?
Scott no way will the Club say what funds they got mate the price then goes up on every single player we look at..!

Good post SP, many very valid points and many that are just so debatable as none of us know the answers to them…!

  10. goonerkitt says:

That is the most annoying thing. We have a great stadium, huge support, a great brand (I can’t believe I just typed that!) and a huge transfer fund. We should be right up there, if not on top of the pile then we should be no more than 5 points behind. Manure are bang average this year. They seem to have won a lot of their games before a ball has been kicked. With Fungus in charge they have always had a fear factor, but with RVP (thats the RVP sold for footballing reasons) teams stand off and let them come at them. Without RVP Manure would be third or fourth this campaign and if he was still at ours, with Cazorla, Podolski and Giroud we would have been ahead of them easily. We need a statement of intent from the board, a couple of big signings. Jovetic is ok, Goetze would be great and if the Casillas rumour ever came to fruition we would be letting the rest of the footballing world know we mean business.

  11. potter says:

The problem is buying and selling players and dealing with Sharks ( agents ) is like playing poker and if you show your hand they will tear you limb from limb. To say that we have X amount of money when you arrive at the table is to go all in on the first hand. As much as I want to see new players come in , I would want it to be done sensibly and get two or three rather than get held to ransom and blow it all on one hit.

  12. Matt says:

Be my worst nightmare eva seeing RVP lift the title at the emirates that would be a slap in the face!

  13. Mattyboy says:

Be my worst nightmare eva seeing RVP lift the title at the emirates that would be a slap in the face!

  14. tsgh says:

Hi Ak, can you tell me the last time AW made 3 defensive changes in a game before the West Brom game? Was that a SB influence or an evolving AW?

  15. Dave Highbury says:

European manager of the DECADE. Wanted by Real Madrid, Barca, Dortmund and France. Keeps the clubs head above water while providing the stability of a NEW STADIUM. And now (since the arrival of Arteta) the production of a squad that means business. LIKE YOU KNOW BETTER THAN REAL AND BARCA. The killer blow for me is the 5 young british players. Now that just makes you sound stupid now doesn’t it. p:s STOP KNOCKING MY TEAM YOU SPOILT OUT OF DATE BITCHES. At least we’re all not weak like you eh? I propose this… that during matches you lot shut the fuk up cos you’re spoiling my day. I go to the emirates to have a good time. I also propose that anyone who slags during a game gets a fukkin slap. We are on the up FACT so give it a rest. I love this present squad and I back them ALL THE WAY. What is this? Le Grove spillage?

  16. tsgh says:

Mattyboy don’t worry Agag is working on driving her Humvee over Vpursey’s foot before that… 😀

  17. Scott from Oz says:

Dave, i have read your post twice and still wonder wtf you are on about.
What i suggest you do is pull your head in, read back over the last few days or even months and give yourself an uppercut 🙂

  18. tsgh says:

    D. Highbury…. I think it is unfair to assume this site is any thing like LG… no disrespect to those folks but this site is very very welcoming and we welcome even those who thing Squillaci is better than Maldini…

On a serious note, you make some valid point about the grove crowd but I doubt you read any of the post otherwise you would not form such an opinion….

  19. tsgh says:

oh wee… the media have started playing monopoly and FIFA 13 with our players already… they aresaying Kos i swanted by the Bavarians and TV is back on the wish list of Tito…

  20. rico says:

potter – I think most of us want that, throwing money around for fun isn’t the way to go as you say.

Three quality players would be good, four would be even better … 😉

  21. Wavy says:

Can’t make up my mind about Wenger, whether he will stay or go at the end of next year. He always said that if he was fit enough and the desire was still there then, he would renew his contract. So maybe he will still be with us attempting maintain our 4th place finish for another few years.
Also I think he wants to outstay old rednose, just to see if we can overtake the mighty reds! They will be a completely different kettle of fish after he’s gone!
Despite all the criticism Wenger has received over the last few years, especially in the press, they started it! He has been and still is a remarkable manager. We too, will do well to replace him with anyone as good next time round. Not even Phill Neville could match his accomplishments!
A little reluctantly, but I think realisitcally, I should prefer Wenger to remain in charge for the foreseeable future, and hope that the old goat will make sure he grooms his replacement with love, cunning and care.
How about Hope Powell? Now there would be a revolutionary change in direction!

  22. rico says:

Matty, it won’t happen, we will finally beat Fergies very average lot..

Dave Highbury, please refrain from using capitals on here, all it does is highlight your rather silly comment even more. Thanks

  23. rico says:

    Welcome goonerkitt

Everything is in place, just the last few missing pieces to the jigsaw and only the board/Wenger can sort that out

  24. Bradster says:

    Morning all,

I’d prefer a change. I don’t see the board changing any of the way they’re currently managing things.
Last Summer the “war chest” was swelling and then rescinded so no change expected there from me.
A new manager may have new fresh ideas or fail hopelessly in finding diamonds to sell while buying coal, either way it’ll make us better or light a fire under the board’s asses when the profits decrease.

  25. jay hay says:

let’s stop criticising Arsene wenger bcos u can’t find any manager better dan him in d world @ large,a manager who can use even his team b to keep his team among d top team.I believe in arsene cos he got eyes for players and i also believe in d players he bought dis season,i know come next season dey will be a very hard nut to crack.Gunners 4 life and arsene wenger d greatest manager in d world @ large

  26. NashuaGunners says:

    Good Morning Rico and All.

Good read SteveP and a lot of unanswered questions in our minds…

“We don’t know whether Wenger has had any restrictions on his spending or if he has been told to keep players wages down to certain levels but I feel that must be the case as who would sell the only players to help us reach top 4 if he hasn’t been directed from above?”

As tsgh once said, why would Stan flew to Germany during the training session? The answer is simple… Because AW refused to sell RVP, so he has to go there bodily and authorized him to sell.

Which BIG CLUBS sell their best players… which manager sells his adorable gem when he wants to compete and make name for himself if not for Arsenal????

When you’ve a manager who refuses to carry out your company polices, you fire him… simple.

  27. Scott from Oz says:

Nashua, i honestly believe Wenger has taken a lot of flack for the board.
I have read thousands of comments criticising Wenger, and plenty of opinions on his spending, but not one single thing written has ever proven that he has had access to the tens of millions “supposedly” available.
If it were ever proven he has had it, i would be the first to condemn him.
Lets hope this summer is the summer the cash is there and is spent.
We have a very solid squad and just need those few little sparks to low the league apart, imo.

  28. NashuaGunners says:

If the Board is not satisfy or Stan is not happy with the way his investment been managed he would have asked serious questions or show AW the door. The only ones at the short-end of the stick are the fans and supporters.

  29. Scott from Oz says:

Rico, Stan wouldn’t even know which city The Emirates is in.
He knows it is in Scotland, but can’t narrow it down much further 🙂

  30. Dave Highbury says:

Hi this is dave Highbury apologising. I am fed up with so-called supporters passing negative judgement all season and no-one even defending their own team. Wenger has been nothing short of brilliant this season.

  31. NashuaGunners says:

If the Board is not satisfy or Stan is not happy with the way his investment been managed he would have asked serious questions or show AW the door. The only ones at the short-end of the stick are the fans and supporters. Why would they (Stan and the Board) renew his contract if they’re not satisfy with the way AW runs things… The blame is not with AW but Stan and the Board… If changes have to come its has to be from the top.

  32. Adam says:

Morning all. Dave Highbury. Please, please tell me that you are having a laugh and trying to be either ironic or thought-provoking.

  33. Scott from Oz says:

Dave, stick around and you will see this group is tolerant….except of us colonists….and capable of change.
Took a while, but they all finally accept Ramsey is our best player!!!
I can’t condemn you mate, because my first few posts on here were even more fiery lol
    Stick around….see for yourself.

  34. Bradster says:

I’m sure he won’t be involved Rico. The board would pick a new manager.
I still think Kroenke has a riskless investment with Wenger.
Debt investment while the club pays the interest via his ‘management fees” off the profit Wenger makes. If all comes crashing down, Usmanov will more than double what he invested. Win-Win situation with no personal funding.

  35. arsewhale says:

Hi guyz, great post Steve! I’m a Nigerian and have been following ur post for a while now (about 2 years to b precise). However, this wld be my first time to post/comment. I love Arsenal as a football club, at times i ask myself y, and i’m prepared to support d club al d way….

  36. tsgh says:

Al-Khelaïfi thought PSG deserved all 3 points against marca last week… if a chairman of a football club does not know what is at stake at the quarter final then it says it all… some may say it was a slip of the tongue but he said it twice… but a least he spends mega bucks or euros I should say… 😀

  37. goonerkitt says:

Rico this is what has pissed off so many fans, almost all the pieces have been in place for 3-4 years. When we moved to the grove I think most fans were willing to accept a few years without trophies. History has shown that few teams move stadium and hit the ground running especially when the project is self funded. The problem I have is that after the initial period of transition we stagnated as a team and as a global brand. We have gone from being the invincible force of 2004 to a team of also rans of the present day. We have lost finals to Barcelona and Chelsea (no shame in that) but also to Birmingham. We have thrown domestic cup games and given away the family silver (Cole, Fabregas, RVP, Henry, Pires and Veiera). We have all been discussing the 2-3 pieces of the jigsaw that we need for what seems like an eternity. We buy 1 piece and sell 2 pieces or swap a world class piece for a selfish mental piece(Cole for Gallas anybody?) The club has shown sentimentality at the wrong times for the wrong players and handsomely reward mediocrity. We as fans should be getting a lot more back for the money, support and devotion we give. Its time for the club to man up and live up to the rich heritage of past endeavours. We are THE Arsenal and we ARE the best. Its time to live up to it.

  38. rico says:

Dave Highbury, glad to see you came back, please though, in what way has Arsene Wenger been brilliant this season?

  39. rico says:

Bradster, but do you think they know what they are doing? And if PHW has anything to do with it, we’re up the creek without a paddle…

  43. arsewhale says:

Don’t know Rico 8-)! But all d same i’m here now n ready to get involved in da house…:)

  44. Bradster says:

Oh no, he was as bad as Grimonde when he played for us and we’ve seen the results of Grimonde’s scouting.

  45. southyorkshiregunner says:

As a player Bradster, I thought Grimandi was dire …… a nasty, dirty player with little skill who possessed the face of a washing line raider ….

Remi Garde was a French international who adequately filled in the holes in defence for us in Wenger’s first full season… He’s young and I would think …ambitious ……

  46. Adam says:

Apparently Chedjou has decided not to sign for us. Yes, it’s hard to stomach isn’t it? Dis is da baddist ting in d world.

  47. rico says:

    I quite liked Grimandi..

Remi Garde wouldn’t be so bad imho either, at least having been a defensive minded player he might recognise a good one…

  52. George says:

    Afternoon all,

Just caching up on the board postings…I think Le Prof should move into a technical director role and Bouldy alongside Hope Powell(Emma suggests) as an assistant may be a good move.

We don’t want to get another in who will blow the kitty and sign Joe Allen’s for £15m , or if we are to replace him, should really push the boat out and get someone of a similar if not higher standard. Who? There are what a handful only available and while we have those clowns in charge at board level, who is going to want to come somewhere , where we constantly shop in Lidl?

Martin Angha leaving is no surprise, he wasn’t going to cut the mustard. We will be seeing a few of these young guns go, hopefully for a few quid.

    Good post SteveP

  53. Xr!s says:

Why would someone call Gervinho a poor man’s Hazard? Is it because Arsenal didn’t spend £34m on him? Why all the hype on almost-an-average-player-to-me? He’s never set the BPL on fire so he’s not close to being World Class. We’ve just got to be proud of what we have, that’s what marriage is (isn’t it?) and we are married to Arsenal. We just need to be proud of her body parts and try to fight for repairs on wherever that’s decaying and not make inferiority comparisons with others that were not made to be like ours

  54. southyorkshiregunner says:

Xris. Don’t take it personal. We know almost every African Gooner loves to see their boys doing well….

  55. potter says:

Xris , his contribution to the cause has not been as effective as that of Hazard to the Chavs. He remains an enigma but from a defender’s perspective he is difficult to stop but easy to guide where you want him. If and when he finds regular end product to his own runs he will or at least could be a major asset.

  56. southyorkshiregunner says:

    That’ts been said already GoonerKitt….

It makes a change though ….. A Russian guy going off with an English woman …… It’s generally the other way around ….

  57. potter says:

I should think Arshavin’s confidence is about shot . He came as a top player and for various reasons has gone downhill ever since. He probably feels it better to pack up than try to start again, although I believe if he played in a team that set itself up differently he would find the ability he had when he joined.

  58. Danish Gooner says:

I Just love your blind optimism that finally this summer is gonna be the summer where we spend millions of pounds sterling and get some serious players in but let me be the one to burst your bubble and i take no pleasure in doing it but it will save yourself a lot of heartache.1.Van persie left because he knew Arsenal were not going to spend any money on quality players for the forseeable future.2.FFP,financial fairplay,Wenger have hitched his wagon to this fatamorgana and sincerely believes it will curb spending(it will not).3.Kroenke is so detached from the club that he will never sanction any serious spending because he have fan loyalty or any club ffelings involved,it is cool cash and nothing more a great investment made possible by wenger.

  59. stevepalmer1 says:

Afternoon all,Many thanks as always Rico.
Many fans feel that Wenger because we have started a climb is the be and end all, In actual fact the man’s a genius if your only concerned with our finishing position. In my eyes 3rd or 4th is very good and for the length of time brilliant, but finishing 3rd 20 odd points behind the winners is much the same as finishing outside the top 4. I want to see us challenging in all the cups and the league not just as cannon fodder but as winners and you know as well as me that if Wenger keeps holding the reigns we will still be the same in another 8 years. Can we find another Manager to make this happen, I believe it will be tough but i also feel its worth a try. And thank you all for your comments.

  61. southyorkshiregunner says:

What really, Rico? It’s sunny up here. Cold, but sunny…..

“A bit of insignificant chit-chat about the weather sort of masking the lack of super star signings into the club,” thought Rico as she kicked the dog in anger knowing that Wenger had just sold super starlet Martin Angha and there was no ready made replacement to take his place.
“Perhaps Wenger might buy another rubbish African from Ligue One?” she thought as she took a long drag of her Camel cigarette and pulled the curlers from her hair.
Meanwhile her pal WATH was knocking back the lager tops in the Grave Maurice down near Bethnal Green Tube Station with some of his old Cockney pals. WATH was a serious diamond geezer and had just done ten years in Wormwood Scrubs for a complex parking violation. He’d run a traffic warden over whilst reversing his three-wheeler into a disabled zone…….

  64. Adam says:

SYG. You know mate, you are wasted digging tunnels, you should write this stuff for a living. 🙂

  65. frednerk says:

    Good Read Steve
Wenger has lost, his luck and his magic over the last 8 years,
    that is a fact.
We all know he loves a pound note in the bank.(ain’t I good Stan)
When he gets a lot of stick he reacts to a certain extent,
IE..after the 8-2 and the left back fiesco end of last december.

Not to sure why people are having a go accusing some of wenger bashing.
The papers are full of talk that we in for an experienced keeper,
    thats probable true.

How come wenger has taken so long to sort this postion out,
we are left with a very talented young man, flapping around, and kicking the ball into row Z when a simple pass would have done.
I know he has time to fullfill his dream and be the No 1,but I do not understand wengers thinking.
    Do you.

  66. southyorkshiregunner says:

    I haven’t dug a tunnel since 2008, Adam – Under a Dixon’s warehouse near Newark…..
    Prior to that was 1992.

  67. Adam says:

Xr!s. After 7 wives, I should think so. 🙂 at least I know my ideal woman now though.
SYG. You didn’t actually dig the tunnel though did you? 🙂

  68. southyorkshiregunner says:

Frednerk had hit the nail on the head. Not a lot got past Frednerk.
“The papers are full of talk that we are in for an experienced keeper, which is probably true.”
Frednerk knew that Wenger had a major problem with the No. 1 spot which had never been truly filled since Jens Lehman had left.
“How come Wenger has taken so long to sort this postion out?” he snarled.
Rico just took another puff of her Camel cigarette and gave a sigh. “What’s he fcukng asking me for?” she thought. “Why do I get the flack?”
“We are left with a very talented young man ,flapping around, and kicking the ball into row Z when a simple pass would have done,” snarled Frednerk whilst bashing his hand on the table and scaring everyone around him including Rico’s trusty poodle
Frednerk was a vicious man with a wooden leg and had a penchant for violence.
“Wenger has lost, his luck and his magic over the last 8 years,” he screamed turning over the table.
Rico was unconcerned. She took another puff of her cigarette and shot him.
No one ever upset her dog.

  69. rico says:

fred, not only the keeper situation and they’ll always be fans who when it comes to Arsene Wenger, they hear, see and speak no evil….

  70. W.A.T.H says:

A three wheeler… FFS SYG could you at least not put me in a better jam jar than that… I ain’t Delboy from Sarf of the river you know… 😉 You and those whippets really are bored lol

  71. agirlagunner says:

Boo! SSP, I see the fishing is going much better. Now this sounds so much more like you. 😛 If our board refuses to sanction player purchases that are not of the bargain bin nature this summer, then we’ll just continue to lose our players. No one wants to be in a club without ambition.

    Hello, hello, all!

  72. agirlagunner says:

Was a bit busy cleaning out my closet, rico. 🙁 Bank holiday here today, got some stuff done. How are you?

  73. rico says:

Crikey agag, that must have kept you busy for many hours, all those shoes, handbags and dresses you have bought. And that’s just those you have told us about on here 😉

I’m good thanks, be glad when some warmer weather find the UK though….

  74. W.A.T.H says:

If you wanna know Lee bought if off me and gave it to his little one to drive to the shops in….!

  75. agirlagunner says:

rico, I realized, have a LOT of crap. 😛 Stuff that even charity would reject. Eeeek much. 😉

  76. agirlagunner says:

There is more to go through, rico… 🙁 But I agree, it feels very cleansing. 🙂 My sister sent me even more shoes. I don’t know where to store them. 😕 Eeek.

WATH, you know, no one will hold it against you, if you have a three wheeler. You must run over RvP’s ankle driving it though.

Ginge, I would if I could. 😉 SYG, some really funny comments. 🙂

  77. agirlagunner says:

    What are you having, rico?

Ha ha. Make sure you don’t miss your target. 😛 Shoot at the right ankles too, just to be sure.

  78. W.A.T.H says:

I’ll aim at his knee caps AGAG I ain’t missing believe me… Now SYG will be going on about Cockney Gangsters…!

  79. southyorkshiregunner says:

No one else had been in the house so AGAG had utilised the short window to clean out her closet,
It was noted that she was a very private person and THAT closet held some of her most darkest secrets.
She remembered Rico’s advice, “It’s good to get rid – It’s a kind of cleansing,” she had said trying to reassure her.
AGAG looked up to Rico as a mentor. Rico had educated her about the flexible 4-3-3 formation and how to break the flat back four down as well the intricate workings of the W-M formation and the utilisation of a ‘false nine’. Rico was shit hot; she was the dogs bollocks. What she didn’t know wasn’t worth knowing.
AGAG looked deep into her closet and there it was staring back at her. She knew she had to remove it before she got rumbled by the ‘Phillipino old bill’. She closed her eyes and carefully put her hand in the closet. The feel of it was horrible. She just couldn’t look as she pulled it out.
The Phillipino authorities would jail her for fifteen years if they knew about it.
Rico had always had her on about the shoes and handbags, but what she now had in her hand was nothing like a fake Prada handbag or a pair of knocked off Jimmy Choo shoes … She closed her eyes tight knowing of peril she was putting herself in before opening them again…
…..There it was …. a signed photo of Wayne Rooney wearing nothing but a red thong. It was the one she had stolen of Adam all those years ago …

  80. Lee says:

AGAG, Mrs L is a woman after your own heart….she’s has had a cupboard in our bedroom transformed into a “shoe cupboard!” God knows how many pairs of shoes there are… I must of married a bloody centipede!!!!

  81. agirlagunner says:

SYG, eeeeek. I’d sooner wear Jimmy Chew or Gutchi than have anything that has anything to do with Shrek!! Anyone who has a Shrek-related somthing warrants reclusion perpetua, no that is too kind… a death sentence, honestly!!

  82. Adam says:

I’ve still got mine SYG. It’s affixed to the gold-plated calor gas bottle I stole from outside Rooney’s caravan.

  83. Lee says:

My four yr old daughter has already shown an interest in Mrs L’s shoe collection….must be programmed into women!

  84. agirlagunner says:

Oooohhh, a “shoe cupboard”!! I have Mrs. Lee to thank for a lightbulb moment! 😀 😀 I love it!! Lee, you should be thankful you did not marry a millipede. 😛

  85. agirlagunner says:

    Hello, Adam! 🙂 🙂 Howdy?

Well-done, Baby Lee! She has her priorities sorted out. 😀 Lee, consider yourself warned. 😛

  86. Lee says:

I had to perform the Austrian dancing sketch at Male airport looking for my credit cards as Mrs L had designs on a trinket….. Got away with it!!!

  87. Adam says:

Hi Rico. How was dinner? I made a putrid concoction and now it’s music time for me until a glance at the footie.

  88. Lee says:

A mate of mine’s wife has a few of pairs of Laboutins, and whenever she wears them when we go out she walks like she’s shxt herself…..is that normal???

  89. rico says:

Hi Adam, lovely thanks – I was caught between Chinese chips and curry sauce or pizza and salad. I could decide so had both.

    I’m rather full now though….

  90. agirlagunner says:

Arshavin didn’t shine when he had to. Plus, he made such a big show of being lazy and unhappy. Couldn’t have pleased AW. 🙁

Adam, ha ha. 🙂 Make sure Shrek’s picture is in a place of honor… like the rubbish bin, for a start. Or the paper shredder. 😉

Lee, a close shave!! But stuff at the airport is almost invariably overpriced. 😕 Did you stay in Male or some of those distant atolls?

  91. agirlagunner says:

    Niiiice, rico. 🙂 All-meat, pizza, I bet! 😛

Lee, Louboutins are a torture device; they are as pretty as they uncomfortable. Just doesn’t work for me. Waste of money. (wow, is this me??) 😉

  92. rico says:

Hunters in this part Lee 😛

I still think Wenger wasted his talent agag, he should have been a player that Gooners would remember for the right reasons…

Shame really, why he wants to retire though at his age I don’t know. Maybe he really is too lazy to earn his money. Fulham offered him a chance, as did Zenit and Reading but he chose to stay and take his money without having to work…

    Sad….

  93. agirlagunner says:

It is such a shame, rico. He was sublime v. Liverpool in that one match. Bet he isn’t sad about his paycheck though. Or maybe, he wants to be a full-time designer. he used to go on about that in his website. 😀 When I was in NY, those fashionable ladies in Soho and the Meatpacking District were in Hunters and Le Chameu. 😛

  94. rico says:

He was agag, why he couldn’t carry that on will always a mystery to us all…

    Nighty to you, rest well….

  95. Adam says:

I am off for the evening. I don’t really understand the coded messages here. 🙂 I won’t tell you what Mrs Adam calls me as a nickname. It says too much about me. 🙂
Cobras all round on Thursday Rico. Sod the price. It doesn’t happen very often does it?

  96. rico says:

I too am heading off for the day…

Enjoy the footie Lee, and the rest of your evening…

    Night to you and all…..

  97. potter says:

Make sure Shrek’s picture is in a place of honor… like the rubbish bin, for a start. Or the paper shredder.

    Dart board occurs to me.

  98. Adam says:

Oh, sorry Lee. I did notice that and thought it strange but put it down to an auto-correct spellchecker. Your spelling and grammar is usually pretty good. 🙂
