‘Oh what fun it is to see, Arsenal win away………’
That’s what the Arsenal fans were merrily singing as the game came to an end last night. They were superb yet again, they didn’t give up for the entire match…
The night belonged to Santi Cazorla who bagged his first hat-trick for Arsenal. Lukas Podolski gave us the lead with a rocket of a strike, this was followed by three from the Spaniard and the goal scoring frenzy was complete when Walcott finally found the net before the end.
There were three changes from the team knocked out of the Capital One Cup last week, Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaced Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey respectively and Walcott returned in place of Gervinho.
Within the first couple of minutes, Oxlade-Chamberlain nicked the ball from Cazorla forced a good save from the Reading keeper, Adam Federici. Reading went straight onto the attack through Pavel Pogrebnyak who got having passed Kieran Gibbs, cut his cross back to Jay Tabb who shot wide.
Reading’s Noel Hunt then had a chance from a corner but his header went wide..
On the quarter of an hour mark, Gibbs, who was having so much freedom and space down the left, crossed to Podolski at the near post. The German stopped the ball with his right foot then fired home with his left. Stunning finish!
We should have gone two up, Cazorla split the Reading defence with a fine ball to Gibbs on the left who was clear but his shot was blocked. The Spaniard teed up Walcott next, the perfect ball, the perfectly timed run but the Reading keeper denied our central striker.
Wilshere was the next to see a chance go begging, his volley was palmed away by the keeper and then Gibbs and Podolski had chances blocked by the Reading defence.
Up the other end, Thomas Vermaelen made a good tackle to prevent Kebe from making it 1-1.
Just past the half-hour mark, we made it 2-0. Podolski chipped the ball into the six-yard box from the left and somehow, the smallest player on the pitch doubled our lead with a diving header. Minutes later he grabbed another, Gibbs again was the provider.
Walcott should have made it four but he fired a shot wide from range.
3-0 became 4-0 on the hour, Podolski got free on the left and unselfishly squared the ball for Cazorla to fire home his hat-trick.
Reading then hit us twice from nowhere, Le Fondre got the first and after some good play by Robson-Kanu, Kebe got the second.
The Reading fans woke up and Arsenal players and fans seemed nervous just for a while.
Theo Walcott put pay to any Reading hopes though when he finally grabbed himself a goal. Cazorla’s saw a long range shot was saved by Federici and then the same player turned provider for Walcott to plant in the back of the net….
Two comments came from behind me during the game and don’t forget, I was forced to sit with the Reading fans.
‘This will kick start Arsenal’s season’ and ‘they have brought on Ramsey, good, he’s s**t……’
One comment I hope comes true of course…
Three points needed, three points we got and right now, that’s the main thing…
That’s it from me, I’ll leave you to chew the game over in the comments….
Some fans can’t even enjoy a win without shitting on Ramsey….lovely and loyal.
Morning Rico.
How was the atmosphere??
The away fans seemed to be singing non stop!
Good morning Rico, I hope you enjoyed your lie-in this morning, 😀
Good morning all,
What a difference a bit of pace makes? The whole attacking dynamic of the team was improved dramatically by the inclusion of the pace of Walcott and the Ox. Without the ball and chain effect of bloody Ramsey, the whole team where able to up the tempo to the extent that a poor Reading side were completely out-played.
There were a couple of defensive lapses which led to Reading’s goals, a lack of concentration that should not be tolerated, particularly against better teams.
One swallow does not a summer make, but could we be seeing the green shoots of a recovery. (two clichés in one sentence, I could be writing for a red top).
I was delighted to see how comfortable Gervinho looked throughout the game, obviously Arsene has finally sorted out his best position…on the bench!!!
Morning Scott, JW and all…
Scott, that about Ramsey was from the Reading fans…
JW,when one player is bad,our entire 11 is bad.
The amount of times the whole side lacks energy and enthusiasm makes it impossible to blame one or two players.
I don’t get it.
We play badly…all eleven players…..Ramsey and Gervino cop it.
We play well and still they are abused and insulted.
Santi was better than he has been.
Arteta….ditto.
Ox…..same.
Podolski….likewise.
Jack…..improving every game.
The list goes on.
To suggest it is because two guys did not play is ignoring the fact that none of these players have been at heir best of late.
Fair enough Rico, but Ramsey is copping it still on the net,FB…..it never stops.
I am off….early one tomorrow.
Have a great day guys.
It was a strange atmosphere Scott, one reason being I was sat with the home fans and of course Reading are in a real mess, and I mean Real…
But, our fans were on fire and the banter between their ‘noisy’ ones and ours was great. They were next to each other in the stadium…
Good Morning my Esteemed Fellow Gunners.
Good match report Rico.
Scott………….you said…..Some fans can’t even enjoy a win without shitting on Ramsey….lovely and loyal.
During the match itself you should have seen ESP’s comment….at 4-2 the first thing he said was that we were going to draw 4-4.
Some people are so negative minded that they fail to see the negativity emanating from their nose and ears.
Scott,
There is no doubt that bloody Ramsey reduces the tempo of our play. He cannot think fast enough to cope with the snappy passing that is an integral part of Wenger’s tactics. If one player is slowing the game then obviously it effects the team over-all.
Ramsey may be a good player, but he doesn’t fit into a fast attacking side.
I wish JW, had to get to the vet early for the yearly jabs – not mine I hasten to add 😉
Podolski and Gibbs were really good, mind you they had loads of freedom. Santi, well he was just everywhere, watching him live is so different to the television.
Arteta too, he isn’t as slow as some like to make out, that’s for sure but we are wasting his talent playing him so deep imho…
And TW, I suspect he will get knocked a bit today for missing his chances at the beginning but he made some good runs and none of our players spotted him, or if they did, they just didn’t pass early enough and a few times the ball through the middle was too short or not high enough.
Get that right and he gets used to playing central, he’ll score….
Off now! It’s my grandchildren’s carol service, got to grab a pew near the front rather than near the font.
Morning devil and thanks.
Re the negativity, to be honest, when it went to 4-2, it was clear the players thought the same, they had a period where they were awful. The passing started to go astray, we couldn’t keep the ball and we were hoofing the ball out of defence unlike before when we passed the ball out…
Trust me, any negativity the fans have starts with the players and for the first time I witnessed that with my own eyes…
Have a good day JW, hope they don’t forget their lines 😉
I agree with you Rico. However, even when things are going well some people, even bloggers, still manage to find the negative point and comment about it. I can assure you that people like ESP, still managed to find something negative even during the season 2003/04.
Boooooo!! Finally, some time to blog!! I bet you enjoyed that, rico! 🙂
Hiya, Devil. 🙂
http://gossip.ladyarse.com/arsenal/2012/12/17/zambian-media-report-midfielder-set-for-arsenal/
Good day all,
Nice write up Rico, shame you had to sit in with the home fans but I’m sure u enjoyed it none the less.
We looked good last night apart from a 10 minute blip where the whole team lost their heads, a clean sheet would have been a real added boost but that doesn’t really suit us.
High 5 2 all the gooners.
That’s life devil 😉 I’d be shocked if anyone found anything to be negative back then, apart from the Sir Bobby dive against Pompey and wasn’t there another penalty muck up between him and Henry?
Hi agag –
I did enjoy it thanks. Not the two sloppy goals we conceded by switching off and to be honest, we should have had ten last night but that’s searching for perfection…
Merts really is huge and Santi really is tiny 🙂
Hi Agag.
How is life there?
Rico……….what you said about Cazorla and Arteta is true. The problem with TV is that it only shows the ball and the 10metre radius around it. It does not show the whole ground.
Recently, the Director of Football at my club and myself went to an under 19 match armed with two video cameras. I had mine at a wide angle and was filming half the pitch at least. He was filming like tv does. The area around the ball.
We showed the wide angle game to half the team and the rest of the team saw the other film. Then we asked the players themselves to comment.
The results were totally different even though it was the players who played in the game itself who were analysing it.
The same goes towards Ramsey. Many people comment on the moments he is with the ball. However watch all the team players and see who is the one who covers most miles running off the ball.
Hi Lewis. It was tough at times but I just smiled within….
Pace and width made so much difference and we had it both sides of the pitch.
I know some will say ‘its only Reading’ and of course they are right but that was the same side the Mancs only just beat 3-2 at the Mad Stad.
The silly errors at the back are a worry.
One thing I noticed was Bould was out of his seat a lot more than the television shows him to be. He was in the tech area for a lot of the game.
tbh I fell on the floor laughing when Santi scored with a header.
bdw……that story about the Zambian international is even on italian and french news.
He is 6ft 2 and a half. That means he is nearly tall as PV04 who stood at 6ft 3 and slightly above Diaby who is 6ft 2.
We do need a monster in midfield.
Hope he is good as they make out.
Lewis ………… only one thing I do not agree with you. And that is……saying that it was a shame that Rico had to sit with the home fans.
Why???
That is what true football support should be about. Sitting near each other without being afraid of the other team’s supporters.
Reading should be commended for doing that.
Arsenal are reportedly considering a shock move for Barcelona full-back Dani Alves, as boss Arsene Wenger seeks to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.
Alves has found himself sidelined for the past few weeks after suffering a pulled hamstring against Levante last month, and his replacement Adriano has wasted no time in making the right-back spot his own in Alves’ absence.
The Brazilian was also out of action during October with a thigh problem, with Martin Montoya proving a more than able replacement on that occasion.
Having returned to fitness, the 29-year-old is now being targeted by Wenger as a replacement for Bacary Sagna, who could depart the Emirates in the new year for Paris Saint Germain.
So in essence that means replacing a 29 year old with a 29 year old who would want more then his current salary.
The press come out with such crap that it makes you want to cry and bang your head against the wall
How were you able to control yourself, rico?? I’d have been screaming like mad if I were you. 😀
Devil, I am well. I’m in NYC now. Brrrrrr. C-c-coooold. 😉 And you?
I have no time for Ramsey bashers.
All is well thanks devil…
Agree about the coverage which I have noticed many times when going to matches, just not with this current crop.
I’m not convinced by Ramsey so I’m not the best person to comment on what he does off the ball, he certainly didn’t do a lot that I saw last night….
I read that too devil, it has to be garbage. If Sagna goes, which I very much doubt, Jenks will step up I suspect..
Ha ha agag, when surrounded by so many Reading fans, keeping quiet seem the natural thing to do. There was another gooner in front of me too, he was ‘spotted’ …..
He was not on that much Rico.
As I said yesterday.
The problem is not the players.
Its the system which the players have to fit in.
And AW is another part of the problem for sticking always with the same tactics.
I do wish to see Giroud with TW up front in a 4-4-2.
I would like to see Podolski with TW up front in a 4-4-1-1
I would like to see Podolski with Giroud in a 4-4-1-1
I would like to see Giroud, TW, Podolski in a 4-3-3
There are so many options with endless propositions.
Yesterday Podolski, TW and Ox looked great combination play. And it was easy for Podolski and TW to interchange.
I strongly suspect that Sagna will go next summer……..to be replaced by Luke Shaw when Southampton go down.
Jenkinson and Shaw can both play multiple positions along the back four.
Jenkinson can play Right, Left and centre.
Shaw can play Right and left.
But as Kev said yesterday……………..if Gibbs manages to avoid those confidence sapping injuries he will eventually replace Cole as left back.
Here it is…………….
Make out of it what you want to believe…………..
……………….Chipolopolo defender Stoppila Sunzu is set to join English Premier League side Arsenal after Zambia’s participation at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sunzu told fazfootball.com on Monday that talks between Arsenal and TP Mazembe Chairman Moise Katumbi had reached an advanced stage.
“I will be travelling to England to sign a deal with Arsenal after the friendly game against Tanzania. As we speak, Mr Katumbi’s personal consultant Salomon Eskadela is here in Zambia waiting to travel with me to England,” said Sunzu.
“I don’t know the details of the deal yet because I have not discussed with both Arsenal and TP Mazembe. However I spoke to both Mr Katumbi and Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger who assured me that I would not be going to London for trials but to discuss personal terms and possibly sign a contract.”
Sunzu meteoric rise began when he represented Zambia at the 2007 Under-20 Fifa World Cup in Canada after which he was invited for trials at English Premier League side Reading but a move did not materialise due to work permit problems.
Before joining TP Mazembe in 2009, Sunzu had been on the books of Chateroux , Zanaco FC and Konkola Blades.
Sunzu is among the the most decorated players on the African Continent at the moment having won the Zambian Super League with Zanaco, the Congolese Super League, The CAF Champions League and the CAF Super Cup with TP Mazembe before he won the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with Zambia.
Lalalaaaa lalalaaaa lalallaaaaa
I am off now my friends.
Off to collect the little prince.
Bdw Rico and Kev and W.A.T.H…………news is better.
Cu all tomorrow hopefully. Maybe this evening if possible.
devil – i agree on the tactics. Wenger is not flexible enough as many of us have said, especially during a game in which we are struggling…
Oh dear, Messi has signed a contract extension, guess that’s rules out a move to us in Jan….
Hiya DG10.
Good day to you mate.
Hope you are ok.
Nice to see you bringing some lovely sunshine in our lives. Surely some nice chicks will brighten anyone’s mood.
Off now. Enjoy the rest of the day.
Sounds like that story could have legs devil, we’ll see soon enough….
Hi DG – I will take a peep later …
Dev, hope the little prince is okay. rico, I’d have been easily spotted as well. I’d be kitted out in my full AFC regalia. 😀 😀
Hiya, Dutch!!
Great news devil 🙂
I too have to pop off, Fido needs a walk and then a few things left to get from the shops 🙁
Back later in the day…
Afternoon Gooners,
Hiya Coach. Brighter days ahead, even for blondes. 😉
Zambian midfielder? Are we going Shaka Zulu?
See ya Lata Devil. Enjoy the quality time with the Prince.
Boo Agag. How’s my tropical butterfly?
New York, New York heh. You work your magic on that place.
Oh, I will, Dutch. It’s cold and rainy. Ick. But a lovely, thrumming place. 🙂 How are you?? Is it snowing in Amsterdam now?
Afternoon all..
No goonie yesterday? I bet he creamed so much he had a nervous breakdown.lol
Our players are shite sometimes because we do not dope unlike some other teams….
Watch the space guys, Barca and one other team may be done for doping soon. 😉
Hiya Rico. The HH Curry Club convened last night and a carnivorous time was had by all. Why doesn’t Wenger play Ramsay on the left wing? I don’t get it. 🙂
Hi Agag. Is Christmas a big deal in The Philipines?
Afternoon all! How are we today?
Great result… Although I must confess, I did start to get nervous when they got 2 back in quick succession. I thought it was the 4-4 with Newcastle all over again!
Did you have a good evening Rico? Bit chilly?!!
Ts – I’d be VERY surprised if Eufa’s favourite team Barca get done for anything.
Booo, Adam! 🙂 A. Very. Big. Deal. Christmas carols start playing when September arrives. 😀 Very OTT.
How was the curry club’s dinner??
Hiya, rocky! 🙂 Mind yer sugar. 😀
For a country the economy of which is going to the dogs, how are Madrid and Barcelona allwed to pay players so much? Aren’t both clubs so heavily in debt??
Hiya, ginger!!
Hi agag! Been a while! How are you? What are you doing in NYC? Curry Club was, once again, outstanding! Even better for me, as I didn’t pay! Whoop!! (Cheers again Kev for the lift to the station and beers!!)
We are growing, growing higher and higher………. We are growing, growing higher and higher.
Spending the hols here. Been avoiding the shops, rocky. 😀 Haha. But what do you know, the first one I saw (winking merrily at me) when we went to Upper West was DSW. 😀 😀 The universe is challenging me.
That Kev is a big spender, eh? I always knew it.
Hi Agag. Curry Club was great. Your name came up and we drank your health just as Rocky massacred a Lamp chop with a beer in the other hand. We all wished that one day you would come to these shores and we could take you along on an evening with us. Would be great. 🙂
Dutch, how do you find all those vids? 😉
They’re all generous guys agag!
Who are you kidding about not shopping?! There’s no way you’ll not soend, spend spend! I lasted about 2 hours in Boston 2 weeks ago without spending, until I was in Tiffany buying a Christmas pressie!
How long are you in the States for? I love Christmas in NYC. Been there twice, the week before Christmas both times, and the atmosphere is amazing. So much better than London.
Adam’s not lying AGAG…. A lamb chop was well and truly massacred. I was eating it Henry VIII style. And it was glorious!
Agag
No snow in Amsterdam. Shame though, it turns the place into a picture postcard. The white blanket takes away rough edges providing a temporarily sense of innocence.
Btw A knife, a fork, a bottle and a cork…… that’s the way we spell New York. 😉
That’s nice, Adam. 😉 🙂 I hope it was GG with some pink juice. 😀 😀 I’ll make it to London someday. I am still trying to figure out how to go about it. UK has weird visa requirements. There are questions on pets, for crying out loud!! And they get your passport for the duration of the visa application. Which can take a while. 😉
Agag – It can’t be that difficult!!
Agag
I think you got the Paris Hilton visa application. 😛
Have you tested your skills on the irons yet? Skating on Times Square is a must do during the Holidays.
rocky, I love lamb chops and… Tiffany’s, too. Lol. 🙂 Great choice. Here for three weeks. Partly on unpaid leave. 🙁 🙁 I’m waiting for the post Christmas sales. Strategizing. 🙂
Dutch, Amsterdam is pretty even without snow. 🙂 What a lovely city, your home is.
I wish we could organize a family dinner with HH regulars in the future. What a blast that would be.
You’d love these lamb chops agag. Seriously, get over here and come to Tayyabs with us! (You’ll have to bring your own bottle of GG though unfortunately as they don’t sell alcohol). I’m sure you have a few bottles knocking about though!
Anyway, why are you even up and blogging at this time?! Must be 8.30am over there, and you’ve been blogging for over 2 hours!!
That’s the dream Dutch…. That’s the dream! Best get your arse over here as well, sharpish!
Paris Hilton, yuk. 😉 We should have a grand HH get together. rico will host. 😛
Lamb is grillicious!!!! Even better with herb seasoned potatoe chips out of the oven and crusty garlic bread. Companionship and a barrel of beer. Truly a King’s course.
I like that, Dutch. The game was on at Shake Shack yesterday. 😀
Where abouts are you staying agag?
Rocky- it is very strange that Barca issued a statement recently stating that Dr. ‘Doping’ Mirelles has never been on their pay roll. They stopped short of saying he has never worked for them.
Note that Juve and OM have all been done for doping in the past but questions are been asked according to some rumours I heard about how quickly the martian Messi recovers from fatique and injury…
hi agag, no flagellation for you then? lol
HH family dinner. yummie. Is Rico cooking? lol
Better yet just drive us to your Friday night regular spot i.e the Fat duck restaurant…
Ginger, wouldn’t put it past Barca. They are a dirty club. I haaaaate their guts.
Upper, upper, upper West Manhattan. 😀 😀
Agag
Paris never travels without her pet woofer. UK has got strict requirements for import animals cuz it’s an island. Any diseases introduced could be devastating.
tsGH – Messi’s recovery and ability to react quickly could be as a result of growth hormones he took at his early age. He was rickety when he joined barca at a tender age and was taking growth hormones treatment. I think the hormones must have had a positive effect on him esp ability to be able to react to opponents trying to get the ball off him. He thinks faster, agile and ride through challenges
rico – Glad you enjoyed yourself yesterday. it’s good to watch live and appreciate what the players are doing on the pitch
b/w hi agag, dg10, rocky 😉
look at you agag! Upper West, eh?! Don’t go getting all snobby on us!
Hi Emma! Hope you’re well.
You’re right abouty Messi. All those pig horemones he was pumped full of as a kid could have given him some superhuman healing ability!
God, I’d love it if Barca, and Messi in particular, to be found out for doping! That would be the bect Christmas gift anyone could ever give me! I’m sure Platini would come up with some excuse though and let them off!
D.A?
rocky – cool at my end and urs?
rocky – I guess we will have to wait and see when it starts wearing off(Messi). Wont be surprise like tsGH the high pressing game by Barca could be dope inhibited.
Afternoon Emma.
Have anything on the Zambian general coming our way?
D.A Lee…. D.A
Great here too thanks Emma. Gearing up for Christmas now. Hardly any work is getting done. I’m at my desk, Absolute Radio blaring out behind me, posting stuff on here, and just started the first puzzle in this months Take a Break’s Take a Puzzle magazine. Life doesn’t get better!
Mourinho has made comments on how surprise he is that messi recovers so quickly from injuries. I will find the link and paste the comments
rocky, I emphasized upper, upper, upper West, not the posh upper west. 😉
Hey ya, Lee. 😉 How are you, emma? I always look out for your updates. Dutch, I’m from a third world country, foreign jurisdictions always suspect we’d overstay/be illegal immigrants, hence, the silly visa requirements. Ick.
Ahhh, sorry Agag!! You’re as big a pauper as the rest of us after all!! Makes me feel a bit better about myself! Also, regarding the visa… you should see some of the reprobates and douchebags already in this country….. I’m sure you’ll have no problems!
Not that I’m calling you a reperobate or douchebag, you understand……!
Rock
Speaking of dreams heh? Barfa stripped of all their titles over the past decade. Never gonna happen, mind you. They are FIFA’s buzz flagship and UNICEF ambassadors.
Exactly that Dutch. Barca are their little pet team.
AW Lee. Dry. 🙂
Insists, Adam.
I was about to protest, rocky. 😀 😀
Off out to do my touristy stuff. been up since 3, good luck to me. 😉
catch you later, good people. 🙂 Dutch, it would be the best Christmas present if Barca were exposed for the doping team they are. 🙂 I have absolutely no basis for saying that, but there you go. I haaaaate their guts.
I just missed you AGAG I was in the big apple last week………… 🙁
Rocky. That’s right. I forgot about the insistence factor.
Hi all. Hope u are all well. I have been very busy at work lately so I’ve decided against having any internet connection on my phone. Good to see us displaying some positive attacking football. Hope we can keep it up.
doping arseholes….
It’s very important Adam!
Have fun agag! Let us know tomorrow how badly you have hit your credit cards!
barselona that is….
Agag
You’re suspect as an illegal bride, au pair or a carrot chopper for restaurants. 😛
The Big Apple’s weather is biting cooooold, Lee. 🙂 But I’m sure it’s nothing to you. 😉
https://twitter.com/martynziegler/status/281034875585306624
https://twitter.com/martynziegler/status/281036034802872320
See you Agag take a large bite out of the apple. Think we all share that intense disgust with Barfa on HH.
Best I could find on our new Zambian general. Eye the Mohawk.
Not exactly a sell-out crowd! That’ll be the Emirates soon if things aren’t sorted out!
Barca a UEFA team more like a UN team.lol. How the heck did UNICEF get money to sponsor a football team…
Juve was initially UEFA pet until they were caught. I am still waiting for Olympique Marseille style busting for manure. Oh i would love it….
I can’t wait for your link Emma re Maureen on Messi.
Concerning working hard… thanks to HH I have learnt the act of delegating far more than any prep school or RMA can offer… 😉
Afternoon Gooners.
Afternoon Rico.
DA anyone???
A bit like Milk Tray…
Straight down the chimney, from Santa…
Sunza dance to rival the BFG doing the Nigerian dance… :d
Exactly Lee, doping arseholes those Uefalona tossers.
DA indeed. UEFA are insistant…
At least he has the Thierry-hush-sign combined with an African war dance. Good lad. Samba times here we come.
At least Stopilla Sunzu can score a crucial penalty unlike some off our candy-floss players who have…
Ginge
It’s the other way around. Barfa in coherence with UEFA provided UNICEF with the opportunity at no costs, since the Catalonians historically don’t do shirt sponsors deals.
However now their bankroll is drying up that will change next season when they don Ayatollah Foundation on their jerseys. (Qatar Foundation).
I’ll pass on the DA Kev, if it’s all the same!! How are you mate? Got your text this morning at 4am…. Do you ever sleep man?!! Great night last night, cheers again.
You are right DG on UNICEF/UEFA vise versa… was just gisting…
Barca were sponsored by Nike apparently for ages. it appeared they had no sponsor, but apparently nike paid the to have nothing on their shirts except their on Nike ‘tick’. That’s what my friend (pretty high up in PR at Adidas, and the man behind the hated red strip on the collar of Chelsea’s kit a few years ago) told me at the time anywaym, and it was common knowledge in PR circles. So while they didn’t have a big sponsor on their shirt, by not having one, the only visible thing apart from the badge was the kit maker. Pretty clever marketing by Nike there.
Bendtner will be out for 3 months!
yesterday game: my key pont: Arsenal can’t play with Cazorla-Wilshere-Ramsey at the some tine. How long I have written this?
Then, they are other things.
Anyway, we had suffer two goals (or two gifts,,,). Our defence sometimes, are nigtwares and his completely out of the game
I lie… He wasn’t responsible for the red strip on the collar… he was responsible for the story that it was “A nod to the chelsea pensioners who wear red coats”. It wasn’t at all.
…Or illegal marketing /underground economy/laudering. I bet there had a huge chunk of taxes cancelled Rocky… ;
Like Starbucks stating they make no profit in the UK with their Artemis logo…
marketing is DG’s field so I am sure he would have some valuable info/input…
Artemis are wank anyway so it doesn’t matter (Nothing like a bit of Fund Management rivalry!)
Ginge
Let’s keep HH sanitized from these atrocious events. Best provide me a link instead of the full article. Shocking none the less. I fear time and those involved already eroded evidence.
Have you heard about the suspicious suicide wave at UK defense contractor Marconi. Already 22 and counting.
Did you know Denise Van Outen used to date Gary Glitter…?
I too would love to know how unicef can afford sponsorship.
You are right DG10. i would get Rico or WATH to take that off if they are reading…
Marconi is Selex now. i do some work with them as part of my role as a consultant in the D&A industry. My friends things are happening that if the regular kate or john from the street knew about there would not be bothering about some bad results… 😉
Mr. Adam is probably the conspiracy man is out again.
She used to insist on seeing him Lee, apparently…..
Dutch, their HQ was in Chelmsford, Essex.
Rock, that’s Basildon girls for you… all fur coat and no Alan Whickers!
Gotta love them mate! Think I may have a trip to Basildon soon. I hear Vange Village is wonderful this time of year! Remember the girl I told you about last night, who also insisted (The one my mate was with)? She lived in Vange Village! Notorious!
i meant the godess rocky… 😉
Has any one heard about the legislation that are supposedly been discussed to stop the use of fairytale stories that have traditional family values removed from all European schools?
My cousin in Belgium says her kids private schools do not allopw that. I just heard from my colleague that her kids in public school are made to read harry potter instead of such fairytale books….
I know mate…. It was a tongue in cheek pop at an inferion Asset Management house!
Flange as it used to be known…back in the day!
There was a club called “Raquels” in Basildon…proper naughty!!
Dirtbags Lee. Proper dirtbags!
I didn’t know that Lee but I am not surprised at all…
:grin rocky
Amazing to think that Amanda Holden was married to Les Dennis.
DG were your talking about the Star wars program?
Now though a few people i know who have worked with SSTL in Uk are all resigning…
I know. The dress she wore one night when she was with him was a grave error of judgement…..
david Icke and his ilk will be having a field day on this….

Whispers nightclub on Romford Road also had quite a reputation for insistance…
So I was told…
A pleasure Rocky. Always is mate.
Lee, any parties. You got my number mate.
Lata
Kev. I used to go to Whispers. That was where I was recruited to the Secret Service.
Ginge
Indeed the Star Wars program. All victims were working on it. Promising young scientists with ample reasons to take their own lives.
Adam, I went there for a different service altogether…
did someone say Walter Mitty?
I also suspected Mr Adam was d. Turpin in disguise… lol.
talking of dirtbags or douchbags as they say in Americano mafioso movies, I just came across the saville,Bruno and ripper foto I just thought that is a funny handshake with the foto putting a lot of focus of the handskake… 😉
DG that is slightly old news. check up on SSTL
Right, I’m off. these crosswords aren’t going to do themselves. Night all

I know, the story catching dust for a while, it popped up in a documentary I watched. Was surprised how little investigation was done, especially with grieving spouse doubting the occurrences that led to these tragedies.
Thanks. very kind of you. i apologise if it was offensive…
I know DG- as a man bound by the OSA 1989 for the rest of my life with some awareness of ‘wink wink’ than a regular European or Uk national, I am afraid to say the world is truly messed up mate… I guess that is one reason I have become less worried or obsessed about arsenal and our fortunes even though my love for aFC is steadfast.
Hi Rico. Thanks. Last night was fantastic fun once again.
Early kick-off please dont remind me rico. :d
Wigan before x-mas is always a good time to play them but it will depend on the ref Ferguson assigns to us on the day too. Did I say that loud? :-d
Mourinho slipped in an ironic comment in reference to messi injury http://www.marca.com/2012/12/17/en/football/barcelona/1355773702.html
Thanks Emma. I am sure they all know it…
Hi Dg, no, it was a mad rush and a dash home into the warm 😉
No probs Ts, I didn’t get round to reading it….

Ginge same here. Regarding less worried and obsessed….. steadfast love AFC. I only started educating myself on these subjects seriously about 6 years ago. Lot of clutter though to debunk and stay on track. I’m fortunate enough to have an inquisitive mind and an sound analytic brain.
tsGH – I guess so. Off for now. Catch u guys/gals later

Busy busy busy 🙂
Night Rocky…
Santa Rico 😀
Gone now
He was Rico and also a special friend of George.
You are always busy Charlie 🙁
Very special Adam, I saw George in concert a few years ago, he’s still got a lovely voice despite everything….
So I hear Rico. I thought he’s stopped performing.
We’re you a Culture Club fan then?
Huge fan Adam, I think it was about four years ago,… But, have seen him advertised as being involved in some recently….
Tell me Rico. Did you wear the make-up and have the hairdo and the hat etc?
No, not me Adam, although many did….
I must go and eat now, back later…….
Sorry to change the mood here but TS are debating whether Arsenal are scared of WHU that is why we are postponding the boxing day match. Never mind the tube strikes…

Now Arsene Wenger has given Theo Walcott a chance as a striker he has to give him a run of games to really show what he can do. It is time for Walcott to sink or swim in attack.
Wenger often wants to rest people and change things around, but one thing you have to do with Walcott is give him a run and it is time to let people see if he can play in the position that he has been targeting for so long.
He has been talking the talk, so let’s see if he can walk the walk. Okay, he isn’t going to be at the top level immediately, scoring in every single game, but this is the time for Walcott to show if he has the guile and intelligence required to be a striker.
You need to be able to improvise if you play that role for Arsenal – look at the way Thierry Henry kept surprising us – and it is not just about pace. Walcott has to be able to put the fear of God into opposition defenders and I don’t think he is anywhere near that level yet.
To be honest, I am still unconvinced about Walcott as a striker. I am willing to eat humble pie if necessary because Henry became a great forward but still I don’t think that Walcott is clever enough for the role. He doesn’t have the quick feet or the tricks you need.
What the position does provide for him is more scope to run at players and also to run into space, and if there is one thing Walcott is, it is a runner. You need to put balls in behind for him and I think that makes it easier to defend against as you just drop deep.
It worked against Reading but they have conceded more goals than any other Premier League club. It was an okay performance, but you can’t conclude from that that Walcott is now some kind of established striker – he has to be tested against the best teams and the best defences.
Even last night there was a moment in the first half when he ran through on goal but couldn’t finish one-on-one. At the moment he isn’t a natural goal poacher and I think he has been made into a footballer to an extent – he wasn’t born to do it. It just isn’t in his DNA in that way.
The experiment of playing Walcott as a striker is still in its infancy, and as we know with him, often one good game precedes two mediocre ones. There is no guarantee of consistency with him yet and he still has much to prove as a striker.
He is not a young player any more: he is an experienced member of the squad and an England international and he needs to start showing that regularly in his performances.
To be honest I think Arsenal are correct not to bow to his wage demands and expectation that he will get a regular place in attack. They should have broken the bank to keep players like Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas and Patrick Vieira but Walcott is not on that level.
Manchester City have been linked with him, as have Chelsea and Manchester United, but I don’t think the big clubs will be clambering over themselves to sign him. Even Liverpool have Raheem Sterling and Suso who can play out wide or possibly through the centre. Will Walcott get regular football elsewhere? There has to be some doubt about that.
I think he has to forget the hype, look in the mirror and realise that he is playing for a great club. If he gets the chance to impress as a striker and takes it, then all the better.
Adam, I have a pair of tarten trousers…
And I was a keen fan of Bananarama…
Ginge, don’t listen to TalkRubbish…
Or you’ll end up with a brain haemorrhage..
ha ha ha…
I noticed that Gary Nevile made a disparaging reference to TalkRubbish in his piece about Arsenal over the weekend.
He continues to go up in my estimation.
A proper football analyst, of which there are painfully few in the British sports media…
How long until Neville is offered a managers gig??
Morning guys.
Kev. Please wear them at our next meeting.
It is true that Gary Neville has improved a lot with his punditry.
Niall Quinn, Keown and Charlie Nickolas are excellent pundits too. Quinnie I believe because he gained experience running a Sunderland club so is more against players holding clubs to ransom…
It is a shame that some ex players have a microphone stuck in front of them and suddenly believe they are experts.
Gary Neville, pff, nasty toad….
Good pundit though …..
Reyes vs G. Neville. Box office special…
Host of the night Rico HH…
Over-rated played in my book Ts and a bully….
Kev washing his car…

I take it G. Nevile is not on your christmas card list then Rico?
No chance Ts 😉
I’m calling it a day – Have a good evening and catch up tomorrow…
Night all….
night Rico
Has anyone read about Stoppila Sunzu’s claims of joining Arsenal?
Looks big and powerful, any thoughts on the story?
My initial reaction to the possible arrival of Sunzu, was an overwhelming feeling of being underwhelmed.
But where do all these French clubs source their big physical defensive midfielders from?
Africa directly or the sons of African immigrants who have settled in France.
Well why not cut-out the middle-man (Ligue Un) and go straight to Africa itself.?!!!
Lets hope if he signs that he’s more Vieira and less Diaby.
Eriksen of Ajax has suddenly come back into focus among the rumourmongers of the Press.
I wonder if his agent is trying to generate interest?
Not sure if he’s the next Danish wonderboy, but if he really is as good as he’s being talked up. Then I can’t see beyond the petrodollar clubs for his signature… Yawn!
Kev,Eriksen is of smilar quality to Gotze,in my opinion.
He would fit in to Arsenal perfectly…..comes from Ajax, after all.
Hiya Digger, just been reading a good article about Sunzu.
Can’t do a link, but its on a blog called sandalsforgoalposts.
He sounds quite intetesting.
http://www.fanatix.com/news/arsenal-to-confirm-january-deal-for-talented-defender/103483/
I look after mates…..even pommy ones lol.
The only negative is Wenger loathes anyone speaking about possible deals.
This guy has pedigree……he looks the real deal.
Gotze, Eriksen, they’re just like Hazard and Mata.
Arsenal do all the chasing and at the 11th hour Mankini or Abumovitch come in, millions or dollars blazing, and just blow us away.
Digger, to me those guys don’t exist anymore.
We’ll not see their like in an Arsenal shirt under ‘The Syrup’.
Eriksen is a chance Kev,i reckon….that’s if we want him.
He seems to have a lower profile than the others you named, for some reason.
Then again, with the likes of Eisfeld coming through the ranks,do we need him??
I did read that he was a devensive-midfielder, I do hope that’s Wenger’s intention.
I’m cream-crackered Digger, I gotta get me some kip.
That’s Sunzu, not Eriksen….
Night Digger
Night mate.
Morning all…
Sunza scored the winning penalty for Zambia at the last AFCON.One thing I know is we have not had a player like him under AW.He is better than Wagama.Work permit should not be an issue if the rumours are TRUE but we don’t have space in the squad for many any non-British player unless we get rid of the deadwoods…
Morning Ginge.
So you agree he is the real deal then?
Morning Ts & Scott.
New post is up…..
