It was great but what comes next? Wenger puts Poch in his place…

Morning all.

In my mind, the visitors were starting the game with twelve men with Mike Dean on their side but after not booking Granit Xhaka for a cynical foul which stopped a Totts attack, perhaps for once he was going to be fair I thought. Well, more fair than he usually is in a NLD.

The Totts, a team full of England international players and a club which has the media swooning over were dead certs to win this match in their eyes, after all, Alexis Sanchez was the only one deemed good enough to be included in a team selected from both squads. Throw in the old and tired manager vs the young and ambitious one and we were doomed before the game kicked off.

The power in North London had shifted, well that’s according to the headlines in the sports pages but they’re referring to a club which hasn’t beaten Arsenal away from home in years. A club which you have to search the history record books from years gone ago to find out when they last won anything of significance.

Many of us have questioned Wenger’s motivational skills, we’ve also criticised the players for their lack of effort but as said in yesterday’s post, every now and again, they all spring a surprise. Yesterday was one of those days.

Our first goal came after Sanches fouled Sanchez. Soft free kick? Perhaps but there was certainly contact on Alexis before Sanches won the ball with a fair tackle. We don’t usually get those decisions so you won’t hear me grumbling about that one.

We don’t usually get the benefit of the doubt on offside calls either so when no flag was raised after Mustafi having the end of his toenail in front of everyone else so what! Mesut Ozil delivered a wonderful free kick and the German defender did what those media darlings love to praise Kane for, he rose high, made a great connection with his head and the ball curled past a hapless Hugo Lloris into the back of the net. Stunning finish.

The second came courtesy of Alexis Sanchez. To be honest, I thought the chance had gone but the little Chilean had other ideas. With Lloris just inches away from him there was only one way past the Frenchman. High and hard over their keeper his shot went. Brilliant!

The result was sweet but the performance was superb. We wanted the ball, we fought to get the ball and everyone was giving their all. That kind of performance and attitude by all is the kind of performance which could see us win the league, IF they could play that way for more than just once or twice a season. Play at that tempo with the same work rate for most of the remainder of this season and Man City will start looking over their shoulders.

But there’s the problem, we can’t, we don’t and we’ve been like that for too many seasons.

Mesut Ozil was awarded the man of the match award but that could have easily gone to a few others too. Mustafi was outstanding I thought, his best game in an Arsenal shirt. Koscielny had a really really good game too, as of course did Alexis, Lacazette and Kolasinac. To be fair, other than Ramsey losing his footing and the ball too often, not one player really let themselves down. Perhaps I’m being generous because of who we beat but one thing is for sure, the North London bragging rights our ours and perhaps they always will be. The media might love the Totts but yesterday they were quite average because we made them look average. Their key players are probably still trying to get out of the pockets some our boys kept them in. Don’t let the pundits fool you, players like Dele and Kane weren’t off their game, we were on ours.

As were the Arsenal fans who were superb. Either that or someone at The Emirates stadium whacked the volume up. Seriously, they were in full voice from start to finish and they always would be if Arsenal played at the level they did yesterday or somewhere close.

How I smiled when ‘You’ll always be s**t, you’ll always be s**t, Tottenham Hotspur, you’ll always be s**t’ was bellowed out…

All in all a great day to be an Arsenal fan so make the most of it. After all, we really don’t know when we’ll see a similar kind of performance next..

Maybe it’ll be at Burnley next Sunday, but then again, maybe not..

Power shift my Arse-nal…. Back into your hovels you swamp dwelling middlesex vermin………

Oh how the media are so gutted their ‘darlings’ got stuffed…! An offside goal by an inch or two yet what advantage did Mustafi actually get..? None, he beat two defenders to the ball and whilst that Vertonghen prick was pulling his shirt as well, So one decision back for the Stoke goal we should of had and the Citeh goal that was a country mile offside, we still owed a goal then and wait til we get it and listen to the media lovies go into one….!

Forever in our shadow… Enuff said….

  2. ScottfromOz says:

    Wath, I’m less eloquent.
    No surprise there.
    Fukk ‘em 🙂
Regardless of what any of pundit, critic or Spuds fan says, we ripped them apart.
They were never in the game and the result probably even flattered them.
    Morning all.

  3. potter says:

Morning all, from the silence I assume that we are still getting over the shock. As we all said yesterday the players can do it and maybe we should ask what exactly is the catalyst that gets them up for a few matches a season. If it’s down to manager or the players themselves,or is it the atmosphere or the build up from the media. Something sparks them off ,we need to find out what it is.

  4. rico says:

Yesterday’s performance reminded me of when we played Utd at The Ems. Got the goals and then concentrated on defending. Just wish we’d have scored more because we deserved more imo.

  5. Wath says:

I’m being polite Scott, very unlike me I know but I’m in a very relaxed chilled mood and I am gloating…..

I don’t think we ripped them apart but what was very pleasing was that we go stuck in and we kicked, pushed and harried them all over the pitch, we only occasionally left a few holes for them to exploit but in general it was the tempo and the commitment that I expect and want but all to often we don’t get it. I think Welbz for Laca was a substitution that could of earned us an extra goal or two the last 20mins as we ran them ragged at the back and showed up Vertongshit for what exactly he is, a f’kin yard dog, all he good at is kicking ppl and without Toby in their defense they looked very ordinary.

A great day all round it seems…………. 😉

  6. Wath says:

Lloris made a couple of very good saves 2nd half that kept the scoreline down, he’s very good in 1on1 situations and Cech also made a really good save from the Dier header..! Best i’ve seen Koz in ages apart from the first 10/15 mins where he was all over the place but after that back 3/5 were very good.

  7. rico says:

That’s my criticism too Wath. I think bringing on Coquelin helped them more than it helped us. Lacazette may not have scored but his closing down and workrate was spot on.

  8. ScottfromOz says:

Wath, I reckon we were totally dominant.
They had a few chances but we had even more.
Kozzer was erratic early but damn, he and Mustafi were superb for 70-75 minutes.
When they tag team opponents, they’re fantastic.
I’m not sure why Lacazette came off when he was looking dangerous, and Xhaka was looking dangerously close to a second yellow!!

  9. Wath says:

The way the front three closed down and hassled from the front was excellent, we see it so rarely yet shows they can do it when they want 2, Still think Ramsey running around lacking responsibility so leaves Xhaka exposed way to often but the whole performance was one that at least gave us a huge lift to enjoy beating those scummy gits …..

Now I can at least switch off again and not worry to much about getting beat by Burnley or who ever else cos we don’t turn up or show that intensity again. Long as we play the same in Feb at Wembley I’ll be happy lol

  10. ScottfromOz says:

Rambo was running into holes the entire game, and some of his through balls were fantastic.
Was he given instructions to sit deep, or to attack?
He’s still attempting the fancy stuff when the simple thing is the best option, though.

  11. rico says:

Perhaps Ramsey should have come off for Coquelin, Welbeck for Lacazette.

I know it was a great result but Ramsey was our weak link I thought..

  12. ScottfromOz says:

Rico, I’ve been saying that that’s his weakness for years, now.
When he keeps it simple, he’s a much better player but singling him out is unfair, imo.
He did a few things wrong, but he did plenty right.
He and Xhaka outdid their opponents and that was a concern before the game, so he gets a pass mark, where most of the lads got an A plus.

  13. rico says:

I don’t think highlighting Ramsey’s weaknesses yesterday is unfair at all. We do it with all the players/manager each day on here. I know you rate Ramsey highly but in all honesty he’s little better than Walcott. Both of whom haven’t improved much since the day they arrived..

  14. ScottfromOz says:

Ramsey has a hell of a lot more going for him than Theo, and has proved that time and again.
Plenty concede Ramsey rarely plays in his ideal position on one hand, then criticise him on the other.
As always, Alexis turned it over often enough yet not a word from anyone, anywhere in the net about that.
I guess we all see things differently, but as an 11, we were brilliant.
    More of it, please lads.

  15. rico says:

But Alexis makes a huge difference to the team, regardless of anything else. Ramsey couldn’t even work out which boots to wear in the rain… lol

  16. rico says:

Not trying to sound confrontational but what has Ramsey proved time and time again? A few Fa Cup goals and one super season.. yet still he try’s to be fancy but just doesn’t have what it takes to be flash imo..

  17. kelsey says:

    Morning All.
Absolutely delighted by the result and every man played his part.I always remain consistant in my views and have always been a believer in Ozil. He,Lacazette and Sanchez combined so well but how often will we see them again so that the partnership can blossom
Ozil had played twice for germany since our last match and my hunch is that he will stay. Sanchez at least was the Sanchez we expect to give 100% but I fear he will be gone as for the last two years we didn’t add at least two players of a similar quality and intelligence, which may have improved us significantly .Whose fault is that.?
Mustafi was fantastic, the same guy we tried to sell in the summer.
24 hours on how many Spurs players would have got into our team yesterday ?
Match of the Day as usual twisted everything with clever editing to make it look like an even game.
At least we can enjoy the weekend then awaits another tough test with (same points as us)Burnley.

  18. Adam says:

Yesterday was a great win but I wouldn’t draw too many conclusions myself. Lots of super performances and an honourable mention for Nacho Monreal who nipped danger in the bud many times.

  19. jeff wright says:

The spuds have been over – rated in reality by the media and not least by themselves. Their win over Real Madrid was blown up out of all proportion. Ronaldo and co were beaten by a lower Spanish league side a few days before and that club had not beaten Real since before sliced bread was invented so Real were obviously not on top of their game when they played the spuds at Wembley .A few days later the spuds struggled at home to beat relegation fodder Crystal Palace 1-0 and then lost away to United 1-0 and now to us 2-0 ! Work it out. Anyway , as I suggested ,not to every ones approval, after the game yesterday in the greater scheme of things it meant little and the results for the other top teams later proved that to be true. I see City ,United and Chelsea as being nailed on for the first 3 places in the top 4 table with us ,Liverpool and the spuds fighting over the dogs dinner 4th qualification spot. I guess that Liverpool will be happy with us beating the spuds whom they will see as being the bigger threat to their 4th place finish. Right back to reality this midweek when all the above named, apart from us, play in the Champions League, we will plodding about in a meaningless Thursday night on TV Ropey Cup yawn inducing game that’s the reality. When I see Wenger putting in a genuine title challenge in the Prem and competing in Europe in the European Cup to win it and not to just make up the numbers then I will believe that he is the man to lead the club forward. However, as it is, despite the euphoria of yesterdays win over the spuds , that all Arsenal supporters, ,especially those of us who have actually been to games against the scum at the lane of shame enjoyed , I will continue to believe that Wenger is a has been and odd results ghere and there such as yesterday’s one do not change that fact. Anyway I.m off for a couple of weeks to Tenerife tomorrow it’s a bit warmer there and it is in England so I will not be posting for awhile !

  20. Joaquim Moreira says:

    I couldn’t posted yesteday.
    1) One more game without Iwoby and Ozil at he same line up. 3 points
    2) Whoever saw the game, had the perception that Arsenal was better closed, with the lines more closed and never stopped attacking and having the opposing goal in the head. (Iwoby and Ozil not together at the same line up again)
    3) Finally, AW made the most useful substitution to maintain the balance and the same cohesion in the team. Exchange Ozil for Iwoby when the “legs” fail to follow the reasoning. (Iwoby got cold and made a wrong first step but then got in the game well and above all, the team did not get off balance)
    4) I think the team is still pushing ahead, especially Ramsey, who is overtaken by a big hole between the defense and the forward. There is no necessity!

  21. allezkev says:

    Afternoon All.
Great atmosphere yesterday, you could see that Tottenham are a quality side but they were totally eclipsed by us with their best player being Lloris, he must have saved them 3 or 4 times on breakaways. Alexis should have had a hat trick.

Yeah Rico, I agree, I reckon that Boulder had some words with the players in the build up to the game last week.

JM, I couldn’t have put it better myself.

  22. allezkev says:

When you see Mustafi play like that Rico it makes you scatch your head and wonder how Wenger could have ever considered selling him to Inter Milan last summer

  23. micko says:

And the scum sneaking out early…….normal service resumed there.

Mustafi, after 6 weeks out looked great, good up front as well as the back.

The turnover kid didn’t do too badly either lol.

They may only be 3 miles down the road from us but looked a million miles away yesterday.

Sure Arsenal mess with our heads but we can enjoy the rest of the weekend this time around, love thy neighbour……not me.

  24. Wavy says:

It’s simple Kev, despite yesterday’s result, the fact remains that he, Wenger doesn’t know what he’s doing. It’s what happens when you’re past it!
It was an unusually good ‘team’ effort in fact, I’m sure I saw Alexis pass to Ramsey, once! And Ramsey returned the courtesy, just once, too. On all other occasions they turned away from each other and found another team member to pass to, or not! There is definitely no love lost between them, that’s for sure.

Who’s for 0-0 at Turf Moor? And another turgid performance from the Arsenal! Or, have we morphed into a progressive football team who are no longer, petrified of ‘november’?

Bright and sunny here but, distinctly cold. I missed the frost though. Got up too late!

  25. andrewh1313 says:

24 hours on, still glowing at the way we played. Have never felt Sanchez shirked so not surprised he still gives 100%. He had a rant at another player not spotting him and passing, but this week he is not pilloried for it because we won. Had we lost, it would have been a talking point. Alexis is what he is, one of the best five players in the league. He turns over because he goes forward with ball more than any other player, especially important without Wilshire or any winger taking people on.

Mustafi brilliant in air but also for his blocks, do we really know if he was that unhappy or could press have been stirring? The delight amongst his team mates when he scored certainly didn’t look like he hasn’t been getting on with some of the team.

Good Cech save after being a passenger, and some woeful Spurs shooting.

A great Sunday to reflect 🙂

  26. Kk says:

    Afternoon rico and all.
    Great win yesterday

I thought we were all over the place for the first half an hour. .and only got going after we scored.

we played with a bit of fight and determination and that imo compensated for our lack of quality in midfield.

Xhaka and Ramsey pairing must be one of the worst wenger ever assembled, only eclipsed by the formidable pairing of song and denilson.

I give rambo huge credit for his energy and enthusiasm but he is really an averge midfielder..Xhaka remains big liability. .

Before the game I predicted a boring draw and the consequent wenger moaning and winging, so credit to the team they saw this one out.

I see Mugabe has been ousted from power at last ..so there is hope for arsenal!

  27. NashuaGunner says:

    Good Afternoon Rico and All.
It’s a joy to read your post this morning.

Experience with age toppled young and energy. Everything was just right. ALL those who go with the notion and assumption that Arsenal is wick and don’t get what it takes were proving wrong yesterday. We went toe to toe with every tackle they can dish out. Even Ozil was putting in a tackle yesterday.

Mustapha was man of the match for me. Not only because of the goal but, he hardly put any foot wrong. He wasn’t intimidated by Ali or Kane. And he got Kos’ back.
Ramsey with his stylistic football and giving away the ball cheaply sometimes, there is not a player in Arsenal that covered that much ground than Ramsey. He can be headless chicken once on a while but he usually put in the shift.
Yesterday was different. The players were ready because they have been called wick so many times and proved to us that they got what it takes.

  28. rico says:

    Afternoon Kk, Ng and all.

Kev, agree re Mustafi. All seems rather odd to me. Just as selling Gabriel was odd when no-one was bought to replace him..

Micko, you won’t get away with love thy neighbour these days… lol

  29. Le Coq Monster says:

    Excellant report Rico.

Today I`m basking in the Cornish sun and yesterday I was basking in the Solar Arsenal………………..who needs Teneriffe Jeff, it`s all here in Cornwall just ask Wavy !……

Not even thinking about Wenger today as it`s all about us fans and beating the scum…………

MotD showed last night how we pressed intelligently not like headless chickens and that started at the front with the Holy Trinity.
It was disciplined and well organised and I`d like to think that is how we should always play………..and why not, it`s not rocket science is it !

If we beat Spuds every week who would need drugs………alcohol……..sex……etc` ? hahaha

  30. rico says:

    Thanks Ng by the way..

Kk, I thought Xhaka did well yesterday, a liability maybe but I reckon that first blatant tackle was taking one for the team. 🙂

  31. rico says:

    Thanks Lc.

For a change, it was quite nice to write something more positive. However, I do wonder what next Monday’s post will be like….

  32. Kk says:

Yes rico re xhaka. .but he does it way too blatantly and often recklessly. another day could have had 2 yellows and a dismissal! Certainly the cnut Mike Dean was generous yesterday ..for a change !
Maybe wenger winging about referees worked after all!

  33. rico says:

Kk, he’s calmed of late but I get what you’re saying. Funny how Poch kept Aurier on the bench yesterday, he’s another red card walking kind of player..

  34. Alex says:

    Afternoon Rico

Lovely post as usual and what a joy to shut the press off with that performance.

The win over R. Madrid was blown out of proportion by the media.

The Tooty team us built on shear physicality all over and i expect their downfall will continue.

When Ozil is on MOTM award that tells me as well how jaded and flat where the noisy neighbours.

Arsene team was better physically equiped
    This time around.

    Nothing special for me.

  35. rico says:

Hi Alex, did you watch the match?

Ozil won his plaudits because of the way he played, not because the Totts were jaded as you put it..

  36. Le Coq Monster says:

There is a stat out there on the web that Ozil is reguarly one of the highest distance covered players, but also up there with the most sprints and not forgetting the most chances created anywhere in the league, yes he will never be able to tackle, but does the next best thing in jockeying a player !…………………….I`d take all the plus points against him not being able to tackle like Peter Storey !………………………………what side of the fence do people sit ?……………………….build a team around Ozil or build it around Coquelin ?………………………..My leaned Ladies and Gentle men, I rest my case……………………………….and it is filled with fruit and nut !……………..

    🙂

  37. rico says:

It’s not about the ground covered surely? It’s about what a player does with the ball.. many of us could jog around for 90 mins but doesn’t mean we’d make good footballers…

  38. Le Coq Monster says:

But he creates the most chances, Rico, and all with workrate which most moan about that some players dont do enough of …………………………anyway, no blaspheming it`s Sunday !

  39. Le Coq Monster says:

Need to run to create space aswell !…………………..stand still and you`re easily marked !………………………….it`s a well known fact that for every ounce of tubbyness you put on it`s easier to mark Arshavin !

  42. ScottfromOz says:

    Morning all.
Rico, I blame the kit manager for Rambo wearing the wrong boots 🙂
Bloody ridiculous for a professional to have the wrong boots on!!!
Ramsey and Alexis actually were involved in 4-5 passing exchanges.
Not many came off though lol

  43. ScottfromOz says:

They are pretty pampered though, Rico 🙂
Nah, no question he stuffed up massively and at any level, let alone the highest, it’s just ridiculous.

  44. ScottfromOz says:

    Ozil is not lazy, imo.
    He’s usually defensively irresponsible, though.
Damn, if he played every week with the determination he showed on the weekend, he’s a top 10 player in the world.
He’s set the precedent now, so no excuses to fall back into the old ways.
    Morning all.

  45. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    Afternoon all, inc rico,

If the NLD performance by The Arse illustrates are change in direction, Ozil & Alexis need to stay beyond January. In so doing, why can’t the players & home fans be like that more often?

The home fans should be like that loud & proud all the time. To use a term made famous by the former Gov,na of California, the home fans have been sounding like ‘girly men’ lately. But not on Saturday Night (that being a more civilised kick off of 11.30pm) it sounded like, dare I say it, the ‘old days’.

  46. Le Coq Monster says:

    🙂
    )

…………Zonal Pressing !…………..Alexis was disciplined to press on his side of the pitch,……..Lacazette in the centre and Ozil on his side of the pitch…………bloody simple !.

  48. Adam says:

Morning Rico. Yes, RIP Jana. Terrible news and no age at all.
Better news about that dog Pulis though, the architect of Ramsey’s appalling injury. A truly ghastly man.

  49. Le Coq Monster says:

Zonal Pressing !…………………………………….bet Pep gets a lot more money than me for inventing something like that !……………bet your impressed, Adam !………….hahahahaha

  50. Adam says:

LC. Pep has always played and managed in the same way. Seems to work if he can get the right players. He comes across as a very intense man to me. 🙂

  51. ScottfromOz says:

Whatever you call it, LC, it was brilliant, as was Mustafi and Kozzer teaming up on Kane, and with more than handy assistance from Nacho.
He just gets abour his job with a minimum of fuss.

  52. Le Coq Monster says:

Yes Scott, I`ve researched the highlights and come to the conclusion that it was a case of my other invented system that kept us a clean sheet………………Quantum Defending !……………………….at this rate of revolutionary coaching phrases I will get any managers job I want !

    hahaha

  53. Adam says:

Rico. I am, but I bet he walks into another job. As for the wider picture, it seems that good managers are becoming something of a rarity these days. Did you see the reports in Spain linking us with Luis Enrique? Interesting manager but still a bit of an unknown quantity perhaps. Looks a miserable sod too. 🙂

  54. Le Coq Monster says:

Right…………..I`m off to the gym to do some Quantum Kenetic Muscular Motion………………….that will undoubtably impress the ladies !

    😎

    hahaha

  55. potter says:

Luis Enrique? :- Great player that did the switch from Real Madrid to Barcelona and won trophies as a player and later as a manager. Then again as we have discussed with Pep having a team with Xavi , Iniesta and of course Messi , it’s hard not to win things. However having said that if we are looking for a young ambitious man with a history of winning things his CV stacks up.

  56. Wavy says:

Will Luis Enrique ever replace the leg end that is RB Mugabe-Wenger? The parallels that can be drawn between these two aged men are stark! Talk about stick ability, they both have it in spades! Near enough one club men, have been diamonds in their time and wear their hearts on their sleeves. Neither of then are jokers though and these days they are not gifted with a full deck of 52. Cards they may have been once but both are now no better than a busted flush.

Bloody miserable here, really quite depressing, unlike Cornwall, of course!

  57. allezkev says:

Rather ironic that so many journalists have criticised the Arsenal website for instigating the abuse suffered by a nondescript Daily Mail hack (who I’d previously never heard of), baring in mind that they as a profession never instigate anything likewise…..

    Well fcuk the Daily Mail.
Boycott the Daily Mail website, click-bait fcukkers that they are!
Apparently there are 12 million Gooner online so I bet the advertisers on the Daily Mail would be interested if we boycotted the shit DM website.

  58. allezkev says:

During Saturdays game I was chatting to my sons mate during the 2nd 45 and he mentioned substitutions and as you do you speculate about whose coming on and in place of whom?
We spotted Coquelin stripping off and Bill reckoned that it could be Xhaka coming off as he was on a booking. I’d seen Lacazette seemingly running out of puff, maybe that’s his laconic style, but he seemed less energised so I mentioned that it could be him, tactical reasons as well obviously.

Anyway Lacazette came off for Le Coq and the crowd booed the decision, so despite outplaying flavour of the month Tottenham, Wenger was still getting stick.
But I wonder if the booing directed at Wenger was because it was Lacazette coming off alone an£ if the reaction would have been different if it had been Jack coming on?

  59. Le Coq Monster says:

    Wenger Out !

    Kroenke Out !

    Mugabe Out !

Oh well, one out of three aint bad !.

I`ve been outside with my new LIDL leaf blower and it aint bad !…………………..3 year no quibble guarentee bargain !……………….worked up such a sweat in the heat that I ended up just wearing ear defenders !………..brilliant blow jobbing session, not a leaf anywhere ………….apart from the fig leaf !…………………hahaha

  60. potter says:

Hi Kev , wasn’t there so can’t comment , but if Lacazette is blowing at the end of November then there has to be something up with his training regime. Maybe we should hand him over to Le Coq to increase his stamina with or without fig leaf .

  61. allezkev says:

Hi Potter, it must be getting windy up there in the land of the Angles?
Fortunately I had my gas fire repaired today so I’m as warm as toast.
It’s so warm that I might do some crunches in a minute…

Not really sure if it was fitness or style Potter, Lacazette isn’t a whippet, he’s quicker than Giroud obviously but I reckon that Welbeck is swifter.
You know, Lacazette to me has all the tool to be a support striker, false 9 or No.10, take your pick mate, but I could see him dropping in behind another striker. He’s good on the ball, hard to knock off of the ball and Good at link up play, in fact he dovetailed beautifully with Alexis, switching positions and taking up some really intelligent areas. He can create as well as he can score, I really like him.

Also, Xhaka had one of his best games in an Arsenal shirt.
He took a card for the team quite early in the match and you kind of fear that with over an hour to go that he’s a red card walking, but he was disciplined, focused and kept his head whilst those in white were losing theirs. Very impressive performance.

Welbeck might be quicker but Lacazette is a better goalscorer which is what we need. We make enough chances but have not really converted enough of them . Nowadays I only get the TV picture and it doesn’t always show the full picture of the runs players make , but you could see that he was pulling Dyer all over the place and Vertonghen was reduced to his standard push , shove and kick game. He is an asset without a doubt , but must be getting concerned over the withdrawal policy Wenger seems to have for him. He always looks dangerous to me and once he goes off we always seem to get pushed back onto the back foot and don’t look as comfortable as we might.

When all singing from the same hymn sheet it`s like a well oiled machine, but if and when Ozil and Alexis go soon…………. major components will be missing from the engine…………………..Piston Alexis without Fuel Injection Ozil…..Arsenal will blow an head gasket and grind to a halt………and with winter coming soon (apart from Cornwall) we will need the gritters out early to stop the sliding chaos !

Sorry Adam, I had to go out but glad to be home in the warm now. It’s been a horrid day weather wise.

I didn’t see that link to Enrique, interesting if true. I’d prefer Silva I think.

Rumour is Pulis could opt for the Wales job… That should please Ramsey.. lol

  66. rico says:

Kev, I too thought Xhaka had a really good game on Saturday, he just needs someone more intelligent alongside him imo..

    Is that Arseblog story fact?

  67. rico says:

Just checked the official site and it’s there. This has to be great news surely?

Makes me more convinced Arsene Wenger is off in the summer…

  68. allezkev says:

Interesting Rico isn’t it, the new head of scouting allied to Mertesaker taking over the academy then the prospect the guy from Barca joining as Director of Football or whatever they wanna call him so Arsene doesn’t have a hissy fit…

Next is a new goalkeeping coach.

rico 4.45, think your reading too much into it, he’s just waiting for the nod from his native alsace, they gain independence, he becomes national team coach and leads them to world cup glory in Qatar 2022.
    Sounds like a plan eh.
