If in doubt Jamie, don’t bother!

Morning all.

It’s simple really isn’t it, Jamie Vardy either wants to move to Arsenal or he doesn’t and if it’s the latter then so what, it’s his choice. Leicester plucked him from Conference League side Fleetwood Town four years ago, they gave him a chance and that’s why he is where he is right now, in France, ready to represent his country. A fairytale story really.

So why wouldn’t he be thinking long and hard about turning his back on Leicester as it’s a huge decision to make for him and his family. I’m sure a part of his decision will involve money but if he’s settled up north, maybe he simply doesn’t want to move down south. Maybe the people of Leicester love him too much and he doesn’t want to hurt them. Maybe they’ve been burning blue shirts with No9 on them, a bit like the Liverpool fans did when Gerrard was on the verge of moving to Chelsea. I jest, only Liverpool fans would do such a thing.

Whatever the reason, if he turns Arsenal down then so be it, the club needs footballers who want to be there for footballing reasons and not just money as we already have a few hangers on who get paid mega bucks but don’t put put in a shift when they play. So when Vardy finally makes his decision, whatever it is, we have to respect it.

I don’t subscribe to the ‘we are Arsenal, players should jump at the chance to play for the club’ because based on the last ten years, what has Arsene Wenger/Arsenal actually achieved? Two FA Cup victories and a top four place, and that’s it! So are we really such an attractive prospect?

Yes we have lots of money in the bank, we have a super stadium coupled with great training facilities etc but on the pitch, some of the football dished up each match day has been awful over those ten years. Slow, sideways, backwards, sideways, backwards, sideways passing – which is hardly the style of football to attract a player with oodles of pace and a massive winning mentality. His style of play could of course change all that should he decide to make the switch but I can certainly see why he’s taking time to think seriously about leaving behind the recently crowned Premier League Champions.

Perhaps it’s more simple than that. Maybe Leicester want to replace him before any announcement is made so they don’t get ripped off when other clubs know they are in dire need of a striker… Ok, I’m clutching at straws now…

It’s all a guessing game but I hope it’s resolved either way real soon and in the meantime, Arsene gets to work on other transfer targets…

  1. Peter Benovsky says:

Long time in sport and especially in football it comes to money and a lot of money. Each player seeks expression and better contract. Vardy not a phenomenon, he’s a good footballer, direct and quick and has flair and skill to score. He received good passes from Mahrez, Kante and other Leicester players. As a direct and ambitious player it is very suitable for Arsenal, but could not decide anything without Sanchez and Ozil, without Cazorla. Again Wenger is not sufficiently aggressive and make tactical mistake. When he decided to take a player to team with large financial resources, must be total, as do this the large clubs. Wenger must offer a price that nobody can deny. If he believe that Vardy is the right player for Arsenal, had to offer him a contract 160 000 pounds a week. Why. Vardy has a contract for 60 or 70 000 with Leicester. Arsenal offer 120 000 and as understood Liverpool are ready to offer Vardy 140 000. This figure currently Leicester offer him a new contract with a higher amount to keep him in myself. probably 100 000. Plus speculations, accusations, tears and requests from fans and Ranieri. If Arsenal had offered 160 000, then Leicester had nothing to do. To keep Vardy had to offer at least 140 000. This would already be a scandal for the other players in the team. If there is a line in receiving money players in a team, then team spirit crumble. Can Leicester to give 120 000 Mahrez and Kante also. Hardly. But Wenger is timid and indecisive as ever. So is within speculation and lack of results.

  2. joe says:

Rico your been hard on Arsenal two fa cups and continous cl football.
Clubs would kill for that record ask Chelsea, man utd this season no cl football for them one won’t even be playing Thursday night football.?

  3. joe says:

All clubs have good and bad periods why ten years why not twenty even with the billions spent by Chelsea and man utd they have not been in the cl continually.

  4. Lee says:

Liverpool, Manure and the chavs have all won the CL while Arsenal just make the numbers up every season (apart from one final)

We haven’t got past the last 16 for 5yrs running……pathetic really!

  5. rico says:

They do Joe, and perhaps the likes of City, Utd and Chelsea have just had theirs….

But at least in between they have won the PL, Arsenal however…..

  6. Adam says:

I agree Brudder. I can’t think of a season in the last decade where we achieved like we should, or even over-achieved given our squad. Wenger knows this and hopefully is going to make the changes to push us up that level so we can seriously compete.
Value for money where transfer fees and wages are concerned is a moveable feast these days.
Leicester proved that money doesn’t buy success and Ranieri did fantastically well with what he had. Can Wenger equal his achievement, backed by a lot, lot more money?

  7. rico says:

Terrible Lee. AW just doesn’t do Europe at all well. It’s the same old thing each season. CL begins, he concentrates on that, the PL challenge suffers and we end up on a downward spiral…

For wht? A competition he doesn’t know how to approach, let alone win.

  8. obi says:

Couldn’t agree with you more Rico, either he comes or stay at LC. Lets move on. If 120 p.w. is not enough then oh well, because Vardy is not a 160 p.w.player just like we are complaining that TW is not a 140 p.w. player. It has nothing to do with whether we have won recently or not.

  9. rico says:

It’ll be interesting to see how Ranieri does in the CL, didn’t he take Chelsea to the semi finals before they became mega rich…?

    I won’t mention their quarter final opposition… 😉

  10. goonster says:

Morning everybody it’s a done deal with vardy I mean why else ll he be waiting this long to decide? Am thinking Leceister is looking to sign someone first to cushion the blow before announcing his departure. Am over him by the way. If he signs fine if he doest fuck him. We re the arsenal!!! My fear is knowing wenger that ll be it for a cf this window which is why I wanted this deal to happen so bad. Hope he proves me wrong though.

  11. goonster says:

Ts I have a question for you?? Are you voltron defender of arsene wenger ??? men the way you stick up for him it’s cringe worthy. Dude stop it. It’s laughable. Lol

  12. Adam says:

TS. I guess we all assume that Arsene has full control over all team matters. From selecting players to buy, through integration, training, tactics, team selection, substitutions and on-field, in-game management. Plus, all the other matters that directly relate to the playing staff, back room staff, training ground, diet, emotional support etc.
From what I understand Ivan is the club’s figurehead in England and the guy that enables Arsene this total freedom.

  13. allezkev says:

That was a very good post Rico, Morning btw, and you might have a point about Leicester not wanting the move made public until they’ve signed a replacement…

If it was only about money, then I guess a 4 year deal worth approx £25m, might have swayed Vardy…
    I mean £25m, isn’t that enough?

    Morning All

  14. joe says:

How much luck was involved in their wins and how much money was spent on their squads while Arsenal was paying for the stadium.
Between 2004 -2014 no trophy wins a couple of finals that we lost.
No club has a divine right to win something every year.
By the way what has Liverpool won since the cl in 2005 and the last time they won the league 26 going on 27 years ago.

  15. goonster says:

Adam I can’t complain my man. Just hoping this stupid saga ll be over so we can move on. I mean it’s Jamie fucking vardy. Not James Rodriguez!!!

  16. joe says:

Wenger had control of the team with sweet fa when it came to money.
The is a simple fact when teams build new stadiums thay normally get relegated not stay in the top four.
Don’t trust me ask tsgh or look it up ?

  17. tsgh says:

Adam- I am referring to Vardy not signing or deals falling through…

One minute fans say AW should only identify players and get IG or the board to negotiate the next they say IG would buy whoever AW tells the board to buy.

Goonie- I slate AW on here for his tactics especially relying on a squad players like Le Coq and Ox… 🙂

  18. goonster says:

Lol joe money has nothing to do with us not winning the cl. How much did Porto spend?? What about that Monaco team that lost in the final to Porto? Atleti??? Valencia twice??? Heck even loserfools didn’t spend a fortune yet made the final twice in 2 years. Let’s stop all this arsene wenger ass licking or bashing. It’s getting too old. The bottom line is a different coach a different approach and same players we would have achieved more. End of story.

  19. goonster says:

Allegri spaletti unai emery would have won the league with theovannasrigas. That team still breaks my heart. They had it all. Or what about the triumvirate that is tr7 hleb flamini and fabregas in 2007/2008??? Please guys stop it. We are where we are because of shit tactics poor player management and a stubborn manager. Money has nothing to do with it.

  20. allezkev says:

Morning Adam, Arsenal’s record in Europe is truely ordinary, accepting some of the unfortunate draws we’ve had in the last 16, our performances in the group stages have been poor and bordering on negligence.
You begin to wonder if there is any kind of tactical thought or respect given to the opposition ?
Our players seem routinely under motivated and almost casual on the approach and that usually leads to a last game where we’re sweating on a result instead of coasting through as a club of our pedigree should be…
    Who do you blame?
    Boro Primorac ?
    Steve Bould ?
    Vic Akers ?
    Lord Harris ?
    The Arsenal Chip Shop?

  21. tsgh says:

3 years ago Arsenal fans wanted AW to be as ‘innovative’ as Brenda Rodgers and M. Laudrupp.

Now its all about Ranieri. Its not like Ranieri is a 38y.o ex-pro who won a title in his first managerial career.

Ranieri has had loads of money available to him in the past. E.g Inter, Monaco, Chelsea, Athletico and in all cases he has be sacked…

Examples include: Ranieri took over a Valencia team who had just won the UEFA league from Rafa and was sacked within a year for his divisiveness.

He took the same traits to Inter, reason cambiaso left whe he heard RAnieri was coming to the foxes…

I admit in some cases he was wrongly sacked as in Monaco and Chelsea but still he was deemed to have failed by his employers…

Like Ranieri conceding the least goals in EPL history but still getting sacked by Roman.

In most cases an employer will sack you if you do not meet what they ask of you…

My point is lets see how he does next season…

🙂 Goonie- you said Klopp will win the UCL and EPL within 2 years if he came to the EPL..;well, he can’t even attract players he has managed in the past… He has his first full season coming up lets see how it goes.

  22. goonster says:

If it had been Ferguson and manure bidding for vardy you think he ll think twice about it? Even the leceister fans ll drive him to the airport. It’s how we have fallen. We have stagnated as a club. Yes wenger still has a pull but it’s on continental players who has no clue how shit he is. 10 years ago vardy would have jumped ship the minute the offer was made to him. Let’s not kid ourselves we re not a big club anymore. Chelsea just smashed us by announcing a new kit contract that dwarfed us considerable. Winning trophies has its own perks. Stop making excuses for wenger all the time. Please.

  23. goonster says:

Adam am not even gonna get into that. Ts and his like are so wenger in that there’s nothing you ll say they ll counter it with stats and excuses. Lol its like they have a hand book or something. Ready made answers everywhere??????

  24. Marshall says:

Wenger having a small budget and repaying for the stadium is a load of ***. BvB, Atleti won their respective leagues with a fraction of the budget compared to their competitors. Ranieri just did it last month.

We can make all the excuses for Wenger’s failures but even himself he doesn’t fancy his numbers from the last decade.

  25. goonster says:

Ts klopp took a shit loserfools team to the final of the Europa league in his first season. Lord God in heaven. Why do you always look for an excuse for wenger’s failings yearly?? When was the last time we played a final?? Two European finals in 20 years ts??? Lord God in heaven. And we wonder why we are stagnated as a club when fans see top 4 as a trophy. Manure don’t have cl footie yet they are attracting world class players. What is your excuse for that ts??

  26. tsgh says:

Agreed Kev re Europe. It comes down to size and quality of squad plus his squad management.

I have always argued AW’s squad from day 1 has never been able to concentrate on 2 competitions.

Even during the invincible era when it could be argued that the players were self-motivated, we struggled in Europe.

Imho- Until he address the squad numbers by having XVIII first team material players augmented by 5 or 6 squad players and another 5 or 6 youngers it will always be the same.

Another point, is Aw does not rotate his squad early enough in the campaign; AW only rotates when injuries crop up.

Between August and November he plays the same XV bar suspension until they fatigue in November/December and then he expects the replacements to just step up…

  27. Adam says:

Stan. I get that. There are some basic disagreements between Arsenal supporters but most of these are historical and rather unimportant in the greater scheme of things. Wenger knows he has to win over a lot of doubters if he is to get the support within the stadiums that he would like. I reckon he also knows he cocked up last season though he is not solely culpable obviously.

  28. Bob John says:

At the risk of upsetting people. Why do some people think we have a right to win the league? We went from 1953 – 1971 without even coming close whilst the likes of Wolves, Burnley. Derby and Forest won it, almost getting relegated in between. Hell , even the Tiny Totts won it! Mancs went 25 years and Scousers currently on a 25 year run. Chavs and City far longer.

  29. tsgh says:

    The same old debate.

Why hate the player; hate the game! as they say.

If one could come to won and underperform according to my peers and still get pay increments and never get the sack, then it is a matter of personal pride whether I walk; If on the other hand I think I am doing my best and my boss is happy with me then ones conscience can be cleared…

Goonie- you have changed your tune since Sunday.

  30. goonster says:

My tune never changes ts. Am vehemently wenger out. Said it a million times. If he does the right things yes I ll support him but that doesn’t change the fact that we have under achieved under him. I can’t keep yapping and moaning about wenger everyday on here rico ll bin me plus I find it tedious and tiring.

  31. tsgh says:

    Agreed there Bj.

Aw is called loser and all sorts.

I wonder how many of those calling him unambitious are CEO’s in the FTSE 250 companies.

Goonie- I stopped making excuses for Aw 2 Januaries ago…; however, I am not driven by any sense of entitlement or expectation.

MAybe I am a loser like AW. 🙂

  32. goonster says:

Bob John that’s a classic wenger in debate. Lol 1953 to 1977 have nothing to do with what is on grounds now mate. Chelsea didn’t win the league in 50 years yet have won 2 European titles in less than 5 years. What do you have to say about that?? We have the money. We have the stadium. The training facility so what’s our excuse?

  33. Kwem says:

No fan base undermine and ridicule the achievements of their club like Arsenal fans. Arsenal fans have an annoying habit of talking down on the achievements that clubs who spend bigger money would die to lay their hands on. If any fan thinks 2 FA cups and consistent finishes in the top four and making it to the second rounds of UCL are no achievements, just ask around. I badly want Arsenal to win the UCL, the EPL again, etc. But if they can only win the Emirates Cup or Community shield and finish in the top four, its worth celebrating. The best way to motivate the team is to celebrate their “little achievements” and challenge them to go for the bigger and better ones.
Now on Vardy. He’s welcome, but if he feels otherwise, stay in your Leicester. He needs Arsenal more than Arsenal needs him. He may never have a better chance to dorn the shirts of a bigger club than in Arsenal. Leicester’s fairy tales has end.Like Moarinho said of his players, Leicester revert to performing according to their level next season-relegation fight or mid table finish, that is, if the likes Mahrez, Kante and Vardy remain.

  34. Adam says:

Hiya Bob. I think there is a new footballing landscape these days. Leicester broke the mould last season and gave the whole ‘financially dominant’ argument pause for thought.
I guess the new stadium revenue and the arrival of the sugar daddy clubs with their enormous spending power has shifted the whole perspective of the fan. I don’t think we have a right to win but, like many others, I think we could be doing better.
Despite all this, I still renewed mine and my wife’s season tickets again. 🙂
The arguments we see on HH have various merits but, as you know, there is no substitute for experiencing the team live. When you do, it’s not hard to see where our problems are.

  35. goonster says:

And errr Bob John I guess you missed the part when liverpool won 5 trophies in one season under houlier or the champions League under Benitez. Gosh some fans make me want to set myself on fire.

  36. goonster says:

Adam it’s mind boggling how they keep making excuses for this man. Sometimes I think am the one that needs a psychic evaluation. Christ in heaven.

  37. allezkev says:

Ginge, I agree, squad size is a definate issue, but I think that Wengers tactical weaknesses are shown up more ruthlessly in Europe unlike in England where he can get away with it more because tactics are not a strength in the UK…

  38. bradster says:

250 CEO’s…well if their sport is football all 250 want their team they support to win and not be managed as a profit generating machine.
If the aim was to make money then no one would bother watching but rather investing in it. Lose the fans then there goes the profits too

  39. goonster says:

Adam a player like Jamie vardy is holding us to ransome. Jamie fucking vardy and some fans can’t see how low we ve fallen??? Ok quick question Adam when we signed bergy wrighty and platt was arsenal not winning trophies??? Man alive I wish I have the strength to quit football all together. Some people ll make you want to end your life.

  40. Adam says:

Stan. As usual Arsenal have said nothing about the deal so the press and the Internet morons have stepped into the void to spread paranoia.

  41. rico says:

Kwem. I’m not knocking the FA Cup etc but what about having a squad which looks like it could win the league, or play in a way which could?

  42. potter says:

Barca make contact with Arsenal starlet behind Gunners back Live Soccer TV 10:49.

They call us their finishing school.

  43. goonster says:

I don’t even care anymore. We re the arsenal ffs. 25 years ago we had more league titles than manure. It was loserfools then us. In came wenger and won 3 in 7 seasons then bam we stagnated and people come out with all kinds of excuses about us not having the right to win the league annually. I mean what the fuck??? Manure evolved under ferguscnut while we stagnated under wenger. Imagine a different coach we ll be boasting 18 to 20 titles now not measly 13. Three titles in 20 years and fans are licking his bum. No European title to show for in 20 years not even a league cup.. we fucking lost to Birmingham in the league cup final. Birminfuckingham!!! A relegated team. That’s it i give up. Am done. Later guys I need me a drink. Peace.

  44. bradster says:

I was thinking, if Wenger is still in his job because he’s fullfilling his boss’s requirements then by the same reasoning Bould must be fullfilling Wenger’s.

  45. Lee says:

Arsenal should give Steptoe an ultimatum, the longer this drags on the more and more we look stupid we look!

  46. rico says:

Moussa Sissoko says he wants to leave Newcastle and is desperate to join “the beautiful Arsenal.”

The France midfielder, part of the Newcastle squad relegated from the Premier League last season, has already told Rafa Benitez he does not want to play in the Championship.

And the dream scenario is to follow in the footsteps of his French idols at Arsenal – “the club of my heart”.

Speaking to Foot Mercato from France’s training base ahead of Euro 2016, Sissoko said: “It is flattering that a coach like [Benitez], a great coach, wants to keep me. But I think that he is aware.

“I have reached a level where playing in the Championship would be difficult for me. I need to continue to evolve. I aspire to play for the greatest European clubs and to continue with the French national team.

“There will be discussions. I hope that they go in the right direction. I want to leave. I would like to continue my career in England, in a club that plays Champions League football.

Asked about reports he has been watched by Arsenal he said: “It is very flattering. Arsenal is one of the best European teams. To be watched by that sort of club, that proves that you are a quality player.

“Everyone knows, I often said it when I was young, Arsenal is the club of my heart, because there were quite a few French players there like Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord, Patrick Vieira who was my idol…

“The beautiful Arsenal. We will see. I cannot tell you if I am going to go to Arsenal. For the moment, I am focused on the French national team and the Euros.”

  47. Bob John says:

Goonster if you have actually read any of my previous posts you would know I am not a Wenger apologist despite the fact that he is our most successful manager. I can’t actually work out your logic though. If you would be happy with what Houllier did at Liverpool then I can’t really see your point. And if supporters like me who have had season ticket for over 30 years and have travelled the world supporting the team make you want to torch yourself then I”m told Paraffin burns quite well!

  48. tsgh says:

Brad- I get what you are saying but if its all about just the winners then football clubs should be disbanded and another formed after every May.
its more than that imo, that is why fans of teams who have no chance of ever winning anything still travel the length and breadth of their respective countries to enjoy the experience…

Personally, I am not sure Leicester has changed the footballing landscape. Unless they can repeat their form and finish in the top four then it is an occurrence befitting of a small club who deserve a bit of reward for sticking with their club and getting lucky.

All throughout Europe, smaller teams have managed to win the odd championship cup… Montpellier, Napoli with Maradona, Deportivo de La Coruna all disappeared after their wins…
Wolfsburg did it in the Bundesliga too…

And those who say Klopp won the Bundesliga under Klopp with no money. With all due respect BVB has always been a big club and they have won the UCL too recently (25 years ago. 🙂 )

When Deportivo won La Liga pundits wondered how the galaticco’s c

Javier Irureta was tipped to go to places but where is he? Who honestly knows him.? he retired into seclusion…

  49. obi says:

Wow…smh Bob @ 12:16 so the criteria is to pick the lowest points in time and evaluate against that. Money or no money, better motivated players, tactics and lack of favoritism wins champions. AW has failed on all fronts. At some points it looks like the man is not even trying.

  50. tsgh says:

Chill out Goonie Cream A-lot its only football. ;)It is always baffling when fans say its not about what others do but what we do.. and then they complain AW has not bought an outfield player whilst other teams have strengthened or has only bought 2 players whilst others have bought 4 and spent £50m whilst we have spent £25m…

  51. rico says:

Perhaps as Bob suggests, people should read all his comments and then they’d know where his views sit. I think he makes a great point about why do we think it’s a right for Arsenal to win the league…

The reality is, we don’t but as said earlier, having a manager who knows how to approach football in the 21st century would be a good start. As Adam said early this season, if we don’t win the league because we are beaten to it then fair enough, but this last season, Arsenal lost it and it was all of their own doing imo.

Well, AW’s imo…. Just a striker signing last summer may very have made the difference…

  52. rico says:

I think it’s not about what a club spends, but who they spend it on. If AW spent £50m on 4 players and they all turn out to be great, who cares what they cost really….

  53. obi says:

20 years, at his advanced age, his inability to recognize the changing landscape of the game and given his recent record… how does anyone reasonably argue against change?

  54. Adam says:

Brudder. The Bentley has become rather ostentatious these days so I bought a cab like Kev’s. Now I can perform the most audacious high speed U-turns across oncoming traffic with my tiny turning circle and pull out in front of drivers with impunity. I can drive along with my light on and when hailed I slow down and say “Sorry mate, I’m just on my way home”. I haven’t done the knowledge of course but that puts me on a par with Uber drivers. But I know the way to all the usual spots, including every branch of Dishoom and there’s always the SatNav.

  55. allezkev says:

Yeah Brudder Lee, I think my hi-speed U-turn on the M4 sold the advantages of a London taxi to Adam…

The way Mr Adam and Mrs Adam screamed with delight told me how impressed they were with my couldn’t-give-a-shit driving…

  56. goonster says:

Obi don’t even bother let it go. He’s 66 right? Won’t be here forever. Am just taking it one day at a time. All I know is a different coach ll have won the league cl world club cup Europa league league cup and fa in 20 years imagine the players that has passed through arsenal in the last 10 years. Fabregas tr7 hleb flamini(2008) van persie adethewhore Samir nasri arteta sagna ashavin Eduardo gallas vermaline then add ozil Sanchez santi rambo (2013) Wilshire(2010) cech kozzer mertesacker yet we can sustain a league title challenge or even go pass the second round and someone somewhere ll still blame the players, kroenke, lack of funds and injuries. It’s mind boggling.

  57. goonster says:

I remember a certain Martin o Neil playing managing a team to the Uefa cup final and was so close to wining it and do you remember who his opponent was??? That’s right maureen!!! It’s funny a man that has been a manager for 30 plus years can’t win a competitive game against maureen yet Martin o Neil has a better head to head record against maureen. Even Alan fucking Pardew has a better head to head record against maureen. No one is crying for the league every season just show some fucking effort. Let’s be fighting for it till mid April and advance to the semi finals of the champions League for crying out loud. 3 league titles in 20 years is an eyesore!!!!

  58. tsgh says:

Obi- no one on here is arguing against change; at least I can speak for myself…

If Scott was here he will acknowledge us discussing AW leaving after his first FA cup win…

Also IG’s recent comments that Rico posted last Friday hinted the club are aware and worried about how deep or long the transition will be after AW goes.

Some may argue, if the club ensured the right change or decision is made then the transition should be seamless… but history tells us that every club has had difficult change.

This brings me to the whole Klopp is great debate…After Ottmar Hitzfeld left even FC Hollywood struggled and went through a few managers including Jonker, LVG, and Heynckes first time round until Heynckes returned the second time round.

FC Hollywood had the same amount of money but they still struggled for awhile…

  59. goonster says:

Is anyone surprised that the same players we call shit and lack winning mentality always go somewhere else and win things!!! Chezzer a few weeks ago said he has learned more in a year at Roma than all his years at arsenal combined. Isn’t that am indictment on wenger??? That prick faced bastard lineker dubbed us an “also-ran ” club. Imagine???? The arsenal an “also-ran “club. Would he have said that in the late 80s early 90s??? We are the laughing stock of the premier league. Everyone and anyone can set up and thwart us. Shame.

  60. goonster says:

Ts you always go back to klopp and I don’t understand why. Jurgen won us back to back titles and played in the cl finals what have your beloved wenger done in 12 years??? Back to back ts. Wenger haven’t successfully defended a title. Yet you always seem to throw a jab towards klopp.

  61. tsgh says:

Goonie- When asked after Chelsea lost to Pulis (crytal Palace) a week after they beat us 2 seasons ago… Maureeen-ho said if he had to was offered 3 points between the 2 games he would choose to lose against Crystal Palace…

  62. goonster says:

And we both know why klopp left dortmund. He lost Lewa goezte in 2 years consecutively. How do you expect him to cope when all his best players want to play for bayern.

  63. goonster says:

Unai emery has won the Europa league 3 years in a row ts. 3 fucking years. Wenger played one time in the Uefa cup and lost to gala. The only European title gala has was against us. Who wants to be the club that gala won their first title against??? Who else but arsenal.

  64. goonster says:

I ve heard you blame the board kroenke the players lack of funds injuries but never wenger. You always make excuse for him. Are you telling me that the liverpool team that almost won the league a few seasons back was better than what we have now bar Suarez and Sturbridge. What about the leceister squad. Drinkwater vs ozil. Mahrez vs Sanchez kozzer vs morgan heck cech vs sheichel(spelling).

  65. tsgh says:

Goonie- Lol… Has Arsenal won a back to back title in its history?

I am not slating Klopp but as someone who has supported BVB for a long time before Klopp along I take offence to pundits and new ‘Dortmonders’ making BVB out to be like a small team. BVB also gave us Effenburg, Riedle, Moller, Zorc, Kohler and most recently TR07

You and I know the Bundesliga has always been dominated by 2 teams.

My beef with Klopp is that he chose to make BVB lose £40m they could have gotten for Lew so that he can strong his ego…

When AW did the right thing with RVP he was slated for lacking ambition…

  66. goonster says:

Dude I just gave you a reason why klopp is a better manager than your dear leader yet you re throwing arsenal into the mix again. Lol ts ts ts?????I wouldn’t want to be an opposing lawyer in the court of law with you. I ll shoot myself. Lol

  67. goonster says:

Plus klopp won the league with Lucas barios shinji kagawa nuri sahin etc. Back to back ts. Lol we ve had fabregas van persie et al yet can’t even sustain a title challenge.

  68. tsgh says:

🙂 Goonie- you either failing to remember the number of times I have criticized Aw for our failings or you are joking… Even at 12:09pm today my post said it was Aw’s fault we haven’t been able to compete…

Even when we signed Gabriel I criticized Aw for going for the cheaper option instead of Ruiz who was far better as a CB.
Did I not criticize Aw for allowing Sagna to leave and wasting money on Debuchy.. who if I recall was slated on here for saying he was shite at defending and only good at attacking…

Re, Dortmond we won the title back to back 2 times before Klopp 55/56 56/57 , 94/95 95/96. Tuchel will win us one too. 😉

  69. tsgh says:

Goonie- I must admit I love debating with you… you never take it personal.

Buy if you canlet me know why Leicester won 17 penalties and we won only 2 last season and only 4 on average since 2006 then we can say AW is rubbish like you are debating…

Leicester scored 16 of their 68 goals last season from the penalty spot…

Penalties gifted them 14 points… None of our penalties made any difference as we were winning 1 goal already…

Can you honestly tell me LCFC are more attacking than us? Since Bobby and TH14’s Portsmouth penalty we as a club has struggled to win penalties.

The last player to win us loads of penalties was RVP…

  70. tsgh says:

🙂 Goonie- I can do this debating all day with proper arguments not baseless ones.

How can you say we have a better squad when apart from Ramsey who you slate daily was the highest scoring midfielder unless you consider Ozil a midfielder.

We have some very good individuals but as a team most of them peak at the same time..

Even our better players such as AS17 does not score goals between January and March but

Leicester city had more players scoring at least 3 goals last season than us..

Until we as fans start demanding that the other players score goals instead of saying OG12 is shite we will never win jack all when our strikers go out of form…

You might have missed my stat from yesterday re. Vardy

On paper all our midfielders should score at least 8 goals a season but unless we are bullying AV 4-0 no one lese scores…

Why is it that Theo scores only 5 goals whilst a year ago fans were slating AW for not hurrying up to sign Theo when we know Theo only performs when he needs a new contract?

How many goals did your favourite Ox score? Ox is nothing but a squad player at best but loads of Arsenal fans rate him.. He epitomises what is wrong with Arsenal..

And before you say it is because AW messes up players ability, why is it that top teams buy from us and then the said player goes missing when they leave us…e.g Song, RvP, Hleb, Cesc, Petite, Overmars to name a few

AW has assembled players who are not performing when needed. Its up to the board to bring him to task or he should move players on…

  71. tsgh says:

In the end I guess its all about the money.

Eva Carneiro has agreed a confidential deal to drop her court case against Jose the winner. 😉

  72. Joe says:

Well respected manager world wide two trophies in the last 3 seasons finished 4,3,2 in the last 3 seasons.
The reason many of our players have come to Arsenal by their own volition is our
manager best club stadium in the pl and world class training facilities.
Or is it been stated the fa cup is not good enough IMO Arsenal have one of the best managers in the world.
Why do I give so much store to the building of the stadium I’ll tell you why because it means I can go to a games 5-6 times a season.
I suppose if you don’t go to the stadium it won’t mean that much as the belief that we shouldn’t have built it and spent the money on the squad.

  73. Joe says:

Just came across this post with some stats of what happens to top 4 clubs when they change managers.
Now I know it’s on untold which some people think it’s where fans go to enter hell ?but I hope poeple read it.
Sorry Rico for posting someone else blog.

    http://untold-arsenal.com/archives/53388
So what I think it suggests is be careful what you wish for.

  74. Malaga gooner says:

    Afternoon Rico and the house

Ginge why do you keep on supporting winger.?

We will start to get more penalties if we change are style of play

  75. goonster says:

Lol ts Rambo I slate because I know he can get better but the question is will he?? That’s a resounding no. Not with wenger in charge. Did you see how shit he was for Wales? A different manager would have told him to cut out those silly back heels and misplaced passes. A better manager and maybe just maybe we ll have our own “frank lampard “??? afternoon good people.

  76. allezkev says:

Ginge, I’m surprised that you, of all people, has forgotten that Arsenal won the Title in 1932/33, 1933/34, 1934/35…

  77. goonster says:

Ts remember Lucas barios??? Where is he now?? See how klopp used a shit striker to win the league back to back and your dear leader couldn’t with adethewhore van persie Eduardo and giroud who are twice the player barios is. Lol ts stop bringing klopp into the equation. He had achieved what wenger couldn’t and that’s wining a title back to back and smashing maureen 4.0 in a cl game ??????

  78. allezkev says:

Arsenal also won the Title in 1930/31 and 1937/38, that’s 5 Titles in 7 seasons…

Arsenal haven’t come close to that kind of domination since…

  79. goonster says:

Hey AK I didn’t even know we won the league 3 years in a row in the 30s. Thanks for the info mate. You learn something new every day.

  80. goonster says:

We also done the double twice and won the league at shite Hart lane. Man we really do know how to rile those cnuts up???? it’s been a while we smashed them though. The last was the 5.2 back to back humiliation.

  81. Micko says:

rico, you have form an orderly que to get on here today lol.

Kev, the 1930’s is pre Arsene, tsgh is like a sitting duck.

  82. goonster says:

Hey micko how come you always show up when I leave? I miss you slugger. How have you been??? And the family?

  83. Adam says:

Stan. Until you have stood, crushed between the residents of Islington, as the team and manager parade the PL cup on the balcony of the town hall, you haven’t lived. 🙂
    You’d love it.

  84. goonster says:

Will definitely be in London the next time we win the pl. I ll come looking for you Adam. You owe me a drink and some frolicking at old Hampton street ?????

  85. goonster says:

Lol Rico don’t be so sure. I might come to reading too. Expect a knock on your door soon. ?

  86. goonster says:

Lmao rico are you serious??? Hahahahahahah I come all the way from America and you re just gonna blow me off like that. Now I heard everything ?????????

  87. goonster says:

Meaning you don’t live in reading then rico??? Hmmmm doesn’t matter. I’ll still find you. I can track anything if I put my mind to it.

  88. goonster says:

Rico what do you mean poor kev. He ll be hosting a blonde adonis how many people can say that??? He ll have the time of his life. I promise that ??????

  89. Micko says:

Stan, rumour has it rico has one of those signs outside her house “Sod the dog, beware of the Arsenal supporter”

Make it to Ireland and I’ll treat ya to a 7 course meal, 6 pints of Guinness and a packet of crisps.

  90. goonster says:

Oh God now you re gonna make it so hard for me to say no micko. Gee why do you have to mention 7 course meal. Lol

  91. Adam says:

Stan. Micko’s offer is too good to resist. It’s beautiful where he lives and the hospitality of the Irish is legendary.

  92. goonster says:

Adam stop. Sheesh. I know all about the Irish. I so wanna nail an Irish bird. Man this is going to cost me a fortune but I think it’s a trip worth taking.

  93. goonster says:

Rico all I know is if I find adam kev Lee micko and ts I ll definitely find u. Muahahahahahah*evil laugh???????

  94. goonster says:

Adam I can ?am Dutch remember plus my maternal part of the family is Bavarian and you know how much those cnuts drink. Lol

  95. goonster says:

WATH could lol but I was just messing with you Adam 6 pints is pushing it. Don’t think I could. Hmmmm that’s a challenge though. Hey micko you re on ?

  96. goonster says:

Lol yeah right rico we re not taking about fruit juices here maam. 6 pints is a lot maam. Why don’t you just stick to Apple and lemon juices????

  97. goonster says:

Lol micko is a hoot…”sod the dog beware the arsenal supporter” hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha??????????oh my goodness. You guys ll be the death of me.

  98. goonster says:

Lol here we go again ts. Don’t folks from the midlands support arsenal??? Or Madrid based people Barcelona?? You just love to tease me don’t ya ginge. Lol

  99. goonster says:

Yes you are.lol your love for wenger has clouded your judgment. I wish we had klopp at arsenal. It breaks my heart to see him at scouse land. Still don’t know why zorg let him go. Shame really.

  100. goonster says:

Get off my case ts. Plus it’s my maternal side of the family. Don’t even know half of them.

  101. allezkev says:

According to Arseblog, the problem with the Vardy deal is that Leicester have offered him a 4 year deal and Arsenal’s offer is less, probably a 3 year deal…

Also Vardy’s agent is the people who represent Walcott. So it ain’t gonna be simple…

I still think Vardy will sign for us…

  102. Joaquim Moreira says:

    Between Morata and Vardy, I prefer Moratta but he probably goes to Chelsea;
Between Slimani and Vardy I prefer Slimany, but he probably goes to Leicester
Between Higuain and Vardy, I prefer Higuain, but Liverpool his interesting in him.
The question it’s the adaptation of english football
Vardy is “real”; the others is shot in dark

  103. Micko says:

Your Jamie Vardy and The Arse come calling……..life’s too short, you either live the dream or spend the rest of your life having regrets !

Plan B, Mario Gomez, ex Bavarian, top scorer for Besiktas this season and title winner, will probably win another winners medal with Germany this summer, do love a double bluff and shuffle, Jamie get your skates on mate lol.

  104. Micko says:

Jm, wasn’t Higuain 3rd in the top scoring charts in Europe this season, over to you tsgh lol !

    Nite Gooners.

  105. Le Coq Monster says:

Morning all from the Cornwall Caribbean ! 😀

So Dortmund said earlier in the week that PEA is going no where !………..as the Transvestite looking Spud Jessie J sang………” It`s all about the money money ”
We like to think of ourselves as…The Arsenal, but we`re becoming…..Just the Arsenal !
However a very realistic blogger who I trust has told me and it`s not quite Ornsteinesque……….that his friends son is on the Arsenal negotiating team and he was at Dortmund 2 weeks ago !. He said it`s a fact but whether something comes of it is another matter and no mention of which player it was.
    Meanwhile……………….

  106. Le Coq Monster says:

I reckon the negotiating team must be as frustrated as us Rico !…………..”Hold on a sec` !….let me just phone Mr Wenger !”

Wish we had Mansour City`s negotiating team !……….” How much for De Bruyne ?…..£45M ?………..we give you £55M !”
How much Sterling ?……£40M……we give you £50M !
Aubamayang how much ?…..fuck it !…..we give you 3X more than Arsenal pay !”

  107. tsgh says:

An enquiry has been made about a player with Toulouse …; I believe it is Yedder of ligue Un striker/attacker. He is a good age for a striker…
