Morning all,
I’m not sure if any story about a particular player has ever been the subject of so many Arsenal blogs headline, it’s almost become ridiculous. Some might say boring…..
We have had so so many stories in the press/media about him signing, not signing, his family saying he’s ours, and then yesterday, after he was reported to be jetting into London for talks with Arsenal, he was caught on camera at the airport.
That sent the same reporters into a frenzy as they believed they were first to capture him heading to London.
However, he may have been at an airport, but he wasn’t heading here to the UK, so that poured cold water on their storyline.
Talking of stories, there is one doing the rounds in Spain, well Marca, which says there is more chance of Higuain signing a new deal for Real Madrid than him signing for us. Apparently Carlo Ancelotti is open to keeping the player..
Just don’t know who to believe eh……
So the boys are back in training, well most of them. Cazorla and Monreal have a few more days holiday having been involved with Spain at the Confederations Cup.
The rest are involved in a bit of larking around with small rattan ball used in Takraw and with it some running and weight training…
Yes, can you tell I am really struggling this morning. There really is no news…
So I won’t bother boring you with anything else…
Have a great day all and enjoy the sunshine….
So why write another one then?
Morning all,
Don’t worry Rico I reaaaaaaaalllly enjoyed reading the short piece.
Hi CMsteve… your post please!
Warning: Troll Alert.
chiangmaisteve is back with his vile little posts.
Actually La Marca does not say he’s more likely to stay at Real Madrid. Have you read that? I read different and it seems that he will leave Real for us. Please let me know on what part of La Marca you read that so I can see for myself.
I think Rico was being ironic and making a point about there being so little news.
chaingsteve, so idiots like you can make stupid comments!!
Jeez its a friday… some people got up from the wrong side of their beds 😉
TsGH. Don’t you start on me!! 🙂
Morning Adam, Ts (thanks by he way 😉 )
ArsenalSteve, I have only read an interpretation on another post, I can’t speak Spanish 😉
If you can, and your translation says he is leaving then all the better…
Just wish he deal would hurry up and get done….
For the same reason that you bothered writing a line you idiot. ok CMsteve.
Good Morning Lady, Sir and Gentlemen.
What a boring day it is. yawn.
Morning Rico.
Morning Gooners.
Morning Groaner.
No positive news re: Harry Higuain then?
It’s like a fcuking soap opera…
Anyway, I reckon Arsenal should be in with a chance of winning the FOW this season… 🙂
I see that Lee and Adam have been practising their ‘Urban-esque’.
Wish I could speak another language…
Hi Adam, I was responding to the first poster not you….
Kev. You have already been indoctrinated into the inner circle of The Ark with your consumption of the magic haddock.
I was Adam….
Morning Devil & Ak…
It is so so boring is the world of AFC…. I struggled to translate what hey were both saying Ak 😉
TS. I know. I was having a lark. A twist on your out of bed on the wrong side comment. 🙂
I like Haddock….
Rico. The next time you voyage to London, there will be haddock.
AFC.com confirm the loaning out of Coquelin…
Lot’s going, now we need a few to join….
I know this was yesterday’s news, but Hector Bellerin signing a new long-term contract was a great bit of business.
That kid is gonna be a top top class full-back.
He could even develop into an attacking midfielder a la Bale?
Great to see Dutch back…
Another pearl of wisdom from chainmailsteve….keep up the good work mate! What a tool………..
Morning all, Nice short one Rico,
What’s everybody getting so worked up about, you have all been Arsenal supporters since the year dot, so you all know we do our business late if at all. As for you Steve chain mail you have absolutely no patients at all, Give the girl a break man you know Wenger takes for ever. We read stories we hope are true we read stories that we hope are not. Rule of thumb, when the guy is paraded round the ground in the shirt there’s a good chance he is an Arsenal player until then he is just another of AK’s passengers. When there is nothing to write about you can only be optimistic hopeful or negative, At the moment i am negative as Sanogo doesn’t float my boat, but i am also optimistic as there is usually no smoke without fire and while Arsenal are being tight lipped can only mean a new comer is coming whether he be a free signing or a marquee player is in the hands of the Proff just get it right and get on with it.
Cheers Adam, I feel blessed… 😉
Don’t worry Rico, one more visit to London and we’ll have you talking like a local.
Tbh guys, I think ‘Steve from where ever’, makes his silly comments, as he craves attention…
Best to just ignore him.
Morning all.
Chaingangsteve….mate…..you really are a doofus lol.
Nice Adam…
I should have mentioned that Ak 😉
I be that’s what you say about me when i am not around Kev 🙂
Ha ha Ak….
Morning all on another non news day .Cant wait for the Ashes to begin ,at least we can have some banter with our colonial friends that post here.
10.03 Lee 😉
Thanks Sp..
Now you are talking Jay, i’ll be tuned in that’s for sure…
What is a Doofus Scott ? is it some kind of illegal cigarette ?
Jay, another trophiless season for you poms to whinge about 🙂
Jay, see Chaingangsteve for the description.
Wait and see Scott things are looking up here ,we have even got some of the old bright orb in the sky to bring some cheer. My grandson thought it was a F…..g U.F.O
No chance Scott 😉
Hahahaha Jay…that IS a classic.
Love it.
U people should apreciate when someone took his time to write an article, since u cant write dnt insult
Lee – when is the documentary on Channel 4 about John Terrys Mum??
😀 Blame the hayfever and the striped red pants…
Hi Ak, I did not see Serge amongst the pre-season training photos yesterday… do you know if he was involved in any u-19 internationals or was injured?
What about the under 2o’s WC for Serge?
Short posts are good. I like them, they don’t do my head in as I can keep the jist of the blog in my head! And it lets us all read betweeen the lines of which:
Two more Wenger boys head for Germany! Rather lost count of how many have gone on loan or just gone? What I am struggling to understand though is this; the loanees have mostly signed away for the whole season, why? Why haven’t the club sold them? Why is the club hanging on to the likes of Djurou, Bentner etc etc. is it because they simply can’t sell them, so they have them till their contract runs out or are they part of Wenger’s happy band of no hopers but he just can’t bring himself to sell them? Or what? Or are they out because they need regular football so they can rejoin their team mates as better players with greater experience etc. mostly these are rhetorical questions but I don’t get the reluctance to pay off the vast number of no hopers. The club would save themselves a shed load of discontent and even more cash!
Wages Wavy, they won’t meet their current salary. Well that’s my guess…
Rico, he captained u-18’s in June so I am not sure there…
Morning Again Goonerworshippers,
Hiya Habib and Devil.
Found some interesting paper. Lots of dense and tense print. A essay from JP Sartre about Transatlantic Egos.
He slices and dices fellow philosopher Husserl.
Husserl gave his reply: “After having determined that the ‘ME’ is a synthetic and transcendental production of consciousness, he reverted to the classic position of a transcendental ‘I’. This ‘I’ would be, so to speak, behind each consciousness.”
Seems to me this Hussla fella spent less on words and more on the thinking part. Basically the opposite coin side of our Board Room Culture.
Their talk is cheap, their thinking even cheaper. True nature of Aristo-Cats.
BTW WATH someone tipped me on oak cast rum called Centario. You should check it out. Tears run thick on your glass. 😛
Good Morning to the Lady of the House and all fellow Gooners in residence.
Rico – When there is no news to write about a short and to the point article is preferrable to recycling the same rumours, rumours of rumours, wild speculation and outright lies like so many of the other sites. Best to be honest rather than pretend to be in-the-know.
In the meantime when and if I make it to London I’d like some haddock too please.
* Sorry auto-correction typo it should read ‘Transcendental Egos not Transatlantic’
He is goin to arsenal for sure.
Cutting his holidays short, Real Madrid he wants to leave an made this clear
Stupid post looking to be different than the rest an doing
A good job of talking bullshite,
Think we all need a nice rest after this transfer saga head off
To some island for a week with no Internet
Ts, oops, silly me 😉
Hi Dg – did you get my mails?..
Hi Cg, there is always someone who will criticise Cg, water off a ducks backs to me 😉
D
Wavy – I think Arsene would love to be permenently rid of the likes of Djourou and especially Bendtner. Unfortunately most clubs don’t have much if any money to buy players unless they sell first. Other than the high profile trades of the bigger clubs, many of the the transfers have been loan deals (some with options to buy) or released players (Bosmans with no fees). The club seems to be trying to get all the deadwood sold or at least out on loan to release their wages and places in the squad for new signings.
As for the rest like Coquelin, they are either being loaned out to get more regular gametime and experience to see if they will be ready to step-up to the first team or to put them in the shop window. This is the case with most of the young pros who aren’t ready for the first team, but are too old for the Academy and U21 teams.
Apparently Bendtner’s wage demands, he doesn’t want to take a wage cut, is what is torpedoeing any of his transfer prospects.
Hi Cg and Dg10…
Rico, I was surprised he was not called into the u-20 squad… lack of playing time I guess. He turns 18 on the 14th so he needs to step up
I think he needs a loan Ts, can’t see him getting much playing time with us this coming season.
Capital One Cup at best, but he needs to be playing, same as Eisfeld…
I think Serge will get chances this time round….. he was injured 2 times last season (ankle)…
As you once said maybe its the diet. with him being half Ivorian and all… 😉
Eisfield can do a decent job through the middle for us as CAM…. I feel sorry for him. All the guys he was better than at 15 y.o have all overtaken him…
Sorry to offend the writer and some of the folks with my first comment ….living in Chiang Mai – That’s in Thailand in case you wondered – (as opposed to Chiang, Chain Gang etc) I get in early while most are asleep and wished my short and terse sounding comment, motivated by impatience for news on Higuain’s impending signing, was hidden in the middle of the comment section instead of being the first one read.
A check of the Marca site confirms they have pulled the original story regarding Real receiving no written offers, and replaced it with a “Higuain to Arsenal for 27M Euros” one. Don’t you love how these things can turn around. Who knows, perhaps someone at RM checked the fax machine.
It is interesting the way these things play out these days. Internet and social media mean we get pretty immediate access to information both right and wrong. I keep telling myself to take a breath and look again in 30 mins – everything might have changed by then!
Who knows by the end of the second week of the transfer window Arsenal could have snapped up a world class striker, a midfielder and a keeper – wouldn’t be surprised.
He’s still so young though Ts, will also depend on who AW brings in..
What are you trying to suggest about the Ivorians 😉
Changmasteve. If you had to write most days maybe you would think a little more before leaving such comments…
Paulinho has said he is leaving one great club to join another great club…..
I thought he was going to Tottenham?? 😉
He’s having a medical today….
😀 Rico
Its the same as Lloris’s wifey tweeting her joy last summer that her husband was joining his mate Sagna in North London… 😛
Steve, you have done it a few times.
You do not have to agree with the post or even others comments, but at least respect them.
Keep posting……you might even agree with some of us sometimes……not me though, nobody ever does 🙂
Morning All,
Signs are Luis Suarez will replace Higuain at Real Madrid?
Looking good for us rumour wise, the quality of player we need to challenge looks good, fingers crossed.
Also
the pot of money seems to be growing,(keep wenger happy)
players(dead wood) sold, loaned, transfered and contracts up.
Totally agree Scott no-one ever agrees with you ,……………..ever wondered why ?
I have been waiting for him long time
and every morning when I wake up I check did he singed us ?
but now the big problem I have is, they said he will sing 3 years deal, so we are gaining 23 million and he will sing 3 years only is that good ?
and after two years it can couse as a problem like what nasri or rvp did to as
so we love you higuain but you have to sing at least 5 years
if you don’t want plz don’t our time
Ginge – Good Morning.
Scott – You’re exagerating a bit mate, some of us do agree with you occassionally, just not about all those hoped for Rambo hat-tricks.
Potter, everyone else is entitled to be wrong 🙂
CG, that is the one thing i will be right on and you smash me with it lol
good morning all!
so, the usual at Emirates
It’s summer time!
You are being kind Cg…
Scott is only entertained for diversity 😛
I skip his posts daily… 😮
Ginge, diversity is one way of saying it.
A touch of intelligence is another 🙂
M Arsenal, i do hope that in between his world tour, Higuain has time to bang some goals in 🙂
Ha ha Ts.
Scott, I always agree with you, well except………
fred – Daily Telegraph reckon it’s done 🙂 I thought it was Suarez and Higuain coming to us??
Rico, there has to be the odd occasion where you disagree, else people will talk!!
Saurez to UnReal sounds more likely than him coming to Arsenal.
Fortunately, some of these stories are just rumours or simply lies. I’d hate to see Shrek (Vain Wooney) and Hannibal the Cannibal (Saurez) at Arsenal. Who’s next, Ryan Shawcross as our new CB?
I still think Arsene will pull a rabbit or two out of his top hat after he signs the spinal players we really need. Although as Kev mentioned yesterday the surprises may not be until near the close of the window as some of the teams in Italy or more likely Spain start to panic.
CG, apparently a bookmaking company in Spain was after some cheap PR, so announced they’d closed the book on Suarez to Arsenal.
Scott – If, as and when Rambo scores his hattrick; you will of course be entitled to play cock-on-dung-hill and crow about your sage prognostications. I shall have to prostrate myself before you and declare myself unworthy.
Cg, if it ever happens, i will die of an excitement induced stroke lol
Scott – That is the only sensible thing I’ve heard about the Saurez to Arsenal story.
🙂 Scott, good point and I’d hate for that to happen….. Street cred and all that thing….
Cg, whoever has been putting money on Suarez to join us, must know something, or think they do 😉
Out of the two, I hope it’s Rooney, but I’d not be upset if it was Suarez…
Rico, the bets were two or three only, and for a few hundred pounds.
Thanks for your comment gooneryank, but you won’t be stirring the pot on here…. Keep your wise suggestions for your own site….
Afternoon all
Yep another slow news day. I see QPR wanna sell Remy for 6.8m on release clause. Not a bad price for him.
Scott – That would be an unfortunate situation. I’m sure you would at least postpone your demise until you could rub the nose of one or more of us Doubtful Thomas’s noses in it. Also, who would we pick on in your absence? Kev might decide to switch to the other ‘colonial’ – me.
Hi Bradster, I wondered when he’d go up for sale.
Anyone know if his court case has been dealt with yet?
Read Paulinho was having a medical at the scums training shed. He will surely fail, they won’t be able to detect or even find a brain!
No sane and sentient being could possibly call Totteringsham a great team, must have loads of marbles missing.
CG, ok, i promise i will survive just for you…and Potter 🙂
Scott – Thank You! That is very considerate of you.
Haha.
Can’t have these poms picking on we colonists…we must stick together!!
Wavy, re: Loanees, I did read that Hamburg have agreed to pay Arsenal £850,000 for the season long loan of Djourou…
Not sure if all our loanees earn the club a fee?
But if we can save their wages for a season, then that’s no bad thing…
Speaking of Kev…….is he stuck in traffic with Higuain in the back seat??
Rico, I wouldn’t dare to of sent that to you…………. 😉
So the youngsters start friendlies on the 12th against Sutton United and the seniors on the 14th in Indonesia.
I wonder which players are going to Indonesia.
No Digger, I am having a cuppa next to Wandsworth Bridge.
And you are correct with your earlier assertion, I do actually ignore you as well, most of the time… 😛
And that bloody Mountie as well.., 😉
I see Nicolas Anelka has signed with West Brom. It is shame he suufered from a severe cranial-rectal interface and had to leave the Arsenal. He could have been a truly great player for us.
Ginge, I got my info from Jeorge Bird…
Not seen the pics myself…
Would make sense to take Gnabry on the Far East Tour as he could be a surprise package this coming season…
12 months on from his debut at Carrow Road, we should see a big improvement both in his physicality and his mental approach to senior games…,
Ak, and don’t they have to buy JD too if he plays more than so many games?
Why not Lee? 😉
Very very funny…….
Brother Kev – Mountie? Feisty as usual I see.
A bit rude………
Ah Canuck, how are things on the Frontier? 😀
Scott will be going Walkabout soon, in the Bush, to avoid another Ashes hammering…
Good on yer Cobber… 😆
Kev, i always take my beatings in style.
I have had 8 years practice 🙂
Not sure Rico, I think the £850,000 is deferred until they complete a permanent deal, otherwise they probably have to settle up next summer?
I suspect there might be more chance of Rooney joining us than Higuain.
Unless Wenger adds 20k mor to his asking 130k and he will still be cheaper than Rooney.
Plus if Wenger wants to sign Higuain, he needs to sell London with the package, London will be better for his wife to start with and he is guaranteed to play 70% high octane matches week in week out.
But Wenger should avoid mentioning that there is no break during Christmas period for footballers.
They like their holidays in Spain, they get 2weeks off during christmas.
Loanees. Those that are really deadwood are the bodies we should be rid of, not just their wages for a season. Like bad pennies they keep bouncing back!
Kev – I am and well and good. Yourself?
Mountie, now frontier – I think you may have watched to many westerns in your youth.
Rico – A number of the articles I’ve read mention the option to buy at the end of the season regarding Djourou’s loan deal. However, none have given any specifics of the conditions that trigger the purchase. The most likely source of information on that is if a Hamburg official has been quoted in the German press.
Very very rude Lee, but having watched the first programme, it was funny 😉
I’m not sure either Ak, all I know is he’s gone 😉
Wavy, but as emma said yesterday, 2/3 are in their last year with us so this time next season, they’ll be long gone….
I am ok Canuck, just getting over a nasty virus that knocked me sideways…
Ah, a good old John Ford Western…,
Yes CG, I can visualise you riding off into the Canadienne sunset, 10 gallon hat, Colt 45’s and your Cellphone… 😆
That’s what I read too Dg, but no amount of games specified…
Kev – Cellphone? What sort of cowboy, lumberjack or Mountie would be toting a cellphone? I’m a bit of a Luddite and have never owned a cellphone. I lost my umbillical cord many, many moons ago – I don’t need or want another.
Afternoon All,
Soooooooooooooooooooooo has he signed…?
Yes Wath, he has signed…..
Who by the way?? 😉
Rico, I’m off to break out my flag to wave them off next July! Don’t want to miss the farewell event!
WATH, I presume you mean Sanogo or Bellerin, yes they have. Let’s hope they are worthy successors to Pat Rice and John Radford!
Ha ha Wavy, or just want to make sure they have actually gone….
Thanx Wavy I knew someone would of signed by now..! Come on Rico get with it…………..
So what if Hig fails his medical with us? That will be a shame…
Even though his record post his back injury has been very impressive compared to what we currently have… he has not been able to be a starter since then for RM…
Its the sunshine Wath…
Ts, ha is so negative … 😉
Brad, re kids going to the Far East, it will be the same lot from last summer plus Bellerin. Sanogo will stay and work on hisfitness with CG and Monreal… me think
Till tomorrow fellow Gooners. Keep the Faith.
I know Rico…. you and Adam are too positive today so I had to take your place 😛
Its so lovely in central London today… Dg will love it here 😉
Night Cg…
Still hearing/reading that Galindo and Wellington have Spanish passports and that Campbell has a work permit….
I did see Galindo play for an Arsenal XI at Stevenage 2 summers ago, so I guess all three could potentially be. Involved in pre-season.
Just read that chamakh is getting 93k a week…is that real?
I thought Galindo moving back to Bolivia was a prequel to a permanent move?
Sorry, the phone rang….
Ts – but I have been positive ever since IG told us this is going to be a good transfer window…. 🙂
It was you hoo…..
😀 I know know you looooove the smooth talkers.
I now …. even
Apparently Ginge, Galindo has parted company with his agent, but he’s still on Arsenal’s books…
A decision on our three Latin American youngsters hasn’t been made yet.
Wellington is in training whilst the other two return for training anytime soon..
That’s glue isn’t it Lee?? 😉
Seriously Ts, I believed every word he said and this will be a good summer of transfers, just not as early as I’d hoped… But then it’s only day 5.. 😉
Where’s that layabout Rocky?
Probably slumped over his desk snooring…,
Lazy sod…. 😀
Kevin. I am slumped too. 🙂
Me too 🙂
And Djokovic grunts more than the ladies 😉
Adam/Rico 😆 😆 😆
Boo!! What are all you guys slumping for? 😛
Hope, you’re feeling better, Kev. 😉
rico, I can’t stand Djokovic. 😕
Boo agag, I want Del Potro to win too 😛
Nadal went too early, so I haven’t really watched. 😛 Fingers crossed. Maybe your Murray would win. Haha.
Still no transfers completed, I see. 🙁
Me better Agag?
A couple of Peroni’s this evening and i’ll be fine buddy. 😉
Just a “couple”, Kev? I don’t believe it. Surely you can do better than that. 😛
What a game of tennis that was…. Really feel for Del Potro….
I hope he wins agag, I don’t like the man that is Murray, but as an athlete, I think he is top class….
I had two Peroni’s yesterday Ak, Nom Nom…..
Bit like Suarez and Rooney really 😉
Like Suarez and Rooney, Murray loses his head far too easily. 😛
🙂 but he often wins…
Off to light the bbq now, back in a bit….
Anyone else here about David Moye’s starter pack this week, all the Hubba Bubba, Wrigley’s and Juicy Fruit one man can take, a new wrist watch running 7 minutes slow and a mobile phone with direct dial to Howard Webb, I’m with tsgh, it’s a fix.
Where’s rico, must be ‘Murray time’
Catching a plane to Blighty shortly, factor 30 packed, catch you all next week, hopefully sign that dirty Argie this weekend, laters Gooners.
Dutch, good to see ya back matey.
Cheeky Micko, but yes, I am watching 😉
Safe journey, it’s hot hot hot here ….
Agag, more than two is the plan….. 😀
Rico, you take care with them there Peroni’s…
You could develop a taste for them… 😉
Ok, there’s a beer with my name on it…
Lata Gooners
Ak, I already have 😉
Have a fab evening….
I’m heading off too…
Out all day tomorrow, so catch up sometime tomorrow evening..
Night all, stay safe….
New post up …
