Have Arsenal Sealed A Deal For Cech? Doubt It!

Reports suggest that Arsenal have done a deal for Petr Cech from the Chavs….

Does anyone think that there is a hope in hell of them selling us a quality keeper like him..? Would Mourinho sanction such a move or have we fallen so far off of being serious contenders that he doesn’t see us as any sort of threat and he’s happy to sell to us now..?

It would indeed be a very fair reflection of how far off the pace we have dropped and how other managers see us as a team and that they prepared to sell us a top player as we’re not a threat to them any more.

He is without doubt a top keeper still and that’s why I just can’t see it happening and throw in the fact the vertically challenged manager of theirs hates Wenger and us, then does the story really have any legs to it?

Now that the international games are over with, we are left facing the wait on players coming back nursing any injuries before we can focus on Saturday’s match. Have some of the performances highlighted how poor our team structure is or has it just shown that players give more for a manager that demands more or plays them a certain way.

There are rumblings that behind the scenes there are discussions on how best the team should be set up and that we should adapt more for the players that we have, but I’m sure only the manager can tell us exactly what’s going on and/or show us with the set up come match day.

We need players played in their right positions and I think we also need to trust a few players on the fringe to come in and do a job, rather than playing far too many out of position just because they are more experienced. They may be more experienced but in their own position, not being asked to do a job that allows them to be exposed.

Lets also hope the players realise they have to work better as a unit, lets hope someone within the team takes responsibility to make sure they stick together as a unit and help out the defence and not just attack willy nilly.

The manager has had plenty time to assess what’s been going wrong the last few weeks, lets hope he has a plan for Saturday and not have the usual predictable set up and game plan with the same players he’s hammered all season long so far…….

    Morning all..

Good read Wath. No way would Jose sell us Cech if he thought we were a challenge to his side. He wouldn’t even loan Ba to us..

Agree re a few fringe players too, especially Campbell…..

  2. Wavy says:

Or, is Cech a spent force, lost his bottle and become a liability? Has the micro twat ‘sold’ us a blooper? Is Cech the fifth columnist in the dressing room, spying for the Chavs, leaving coded messages under stones outside the Ems?
Be certain the dwarf is. Trying to poison us from the inside!

Good mornig all and let’s hope it’s a good one!

  3. Wath says:

Don’t worry Potter you can rest assured that Arsene has got the back room staff plotting how to rectify things and come up with lots of options for him to put into action……………….

    Yeh right……….!

I doubt it, when has AW ever evaluated what has been going on? One would imagine he should have but on the pitch, all evidence leads to the fact that he hasn’t…

But, I hope the players have. The international break may have come at a good time, perhaps they’ll come back with a different mindset.

  5. rico says:

Khedira to Bayern then? I bet he’s had to drop his wage demands…. Maybe a sneaky few million in his pocket as there’s no signing on fee….

  6. AndrewH says:

Spy films? Well if rumour is true, Maureen did hide in a linen basket and get into the chelski dressing room when banned. Which was smarter than AW getting a further ban for being caught on his phone in a similar situation.

  7. Wavy says:

“Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Wenger” a story of simple spying a folk, there’s a really good twist at the end……he rides off into the sunset!
As for baskets, I thought it was a nicer way of calling someone illegitimate!

    Wath, good post mate..

Arsene has had more than a few weeks to assess what’s going wrong, he had years and still hasn’t sussed it, so i would expect more of the same on Saturday..

    Afternoon yawl….

Arsène Wenger has revealed the following team news ahead of Saturday’s game against Manchester United:

    on Giroud and Arteta…

Giroud and Arteta are both available. It’s just a question of how ready they are. But they are available.

    on Giroud…

He is three or four weeks ahead of schedule. Originally we planned to have him back for competition at the beginning of next year. So he’s one month ahead.

on relying on Welbeck while Giroud was out…

Yes, and on Sanchez as well. But we have Giroud back, we have Walcott back. Slowly they will integrate into the team again and give us different options.

    on Koscielny and Debuchy…

Koscielny and Debuchy are doing well, they are out on the field [working] again. We have to see now. Usually field work is three weeks away from full group training. Then there is fitness. It looks straightforward for Debuchy. It’s not inflammation, it’s just repairing surgery. For Koscielny, it depends how well he responds to training. At the moment he looks good.

    on Ozil…

Ozil is doing well but he will not be ready before the start of 2015.

  10. Wavy says:

Ozil will be like a new signing! He’ll probably line up next to Diaby!
I’m surprised the old wise one hasn’t made a bid for Sturridge! He could keep our two brave boys company in the physio’s secret repair shop!

What does it all mean? Where will it all end?
    When will it all end??
Down, down, deeper and down………that’s it really, isn’t it? We have become status quo! Same old, same old….the three chords have become a bit tired, just like our three tactis, backwards, sideways, any ways but never forwards.
I’m rambling…….its that time of year!

  11. AndrewH says:

Main question I’d like to know is, is Welbeck fit after asking to come off with tight hamstring?
    Funny he didn’t mention it?

  12. George says:

    Hi All

Dreading this Saturday …I think those dingos up north will beat us comfortably and Wenger will be under pressure again.

We already know the team he’ll put out

    chez in goal

chambers at RB Mert and Monreal CB Gibbs LB

    Arteta Ramsay Wilshere Cazorla

    Sanchez Welbeck

And his subs will go like this:

Flamini on for an injured player on the 60th minute

Chamberlain on for a midfielder on a yellow on the 70th minute

Podolski on the 80th minute for Welbeck

and Campbell, Bellerin, Rosicky and Martinez will be wearing Duvets on the bench thinking wtf.

  13. George says:

My heart needs to see us beat them , but i am fearing a limp display where only sanchez turns up and we lose 2-1 despite going 1 up with rooney ad traitor scoring and them missing a boatload of chances as well. Also think the ref won’t help us and they will come to kick lumps out of us .

  14. rico says:

Could be either George, Wenger proving he’s a control freak or Bould simply has had enough of being attached to such dreadful tactics etc…. And of course, not being allowed an input…

  15. Wavy says:

If the Bould rumours are true, who would be his replacement?
I reckon the thin controller would go for an ex player, someone like Charlie George because of his high level of intellect and his problem solving skills. He would get the thumbs up, if he’s got any left! Or, perhaps Gus Caesar for his tactical awareness and sense of positioning. Then again he could go for someone who always ‘talks a good game’ Steve Claridge perhap. He has all the answers he just hasn’t a clue what the question is! Absolutely perfect fits as yes men, because none of them would have the wit to contradict the Duce!

God am I sick of slagging the manager off, but, you see, he f…ing deserves it!

  16. George says:

Wavy , he’s used up all his lives.. He deserves the stick he gets….I would think he’ll go with a French ex player, Grimandi or Garde….Lool Gus Caesar…He was Pony

  17. Wavy says:

He was Pony, the other part of the rhyme is ‘trap’ of course. A skill that poor old Gus never did master! But he did fulfill the ‘crap’ rhyme scheme and meaning!

Wenger will promote Primark because he is a cheap alternative to the ‘real deal’!!

  18. Wavy says:

There’s a Clement, english, who’s coach at Real Madrid, now I wouldn’t object to him, judging from their recent results, I might even throw in their manager as well! They seem to be a good combination, they did well at the Chavs before the microdot returned!

In any event and joking aside, I do think it’s time that the kingmakers took to the streets and arenas, to find us a new main man. Ours, I’m sad to say is in his dotage! He’s beyond the seventh age of man, walking with three legs! He’s reached wheelchair readiness and a flannel to mop up his dribble!!

There, done it again….slagged him off. Second time today!

  19. Wavy says:

Paul Clement, if I remember correctly played for QPR and West Brom, a more than forceful full back. Don’t think he was capped for England but for a time he got rave reviews before someone did his knee, not certain about the last bit, but I think his career end prematurely.
It won’t happen though. Why would that successful management team want to come to Arsenal? An un ambitious Middle of the road kind of club whose only boast is a wonderful stadium! And a few good good players whilst the hum drum ones are vastly over paid!
I think Gus Caesar was a better punt! Our Board would love him because he would be ever so cheap!

  20. Bob John says:

    tsgh
Ah yes, Boro Primorac! The man we an encyclopedic knowledge of every footballer in the world yet still can’t find us any centre-halves or defensive midfielders!!!

  21. potter says:

Hi folks , What is Henry’s contract situation in the states . Should Bouldy go I could see that happening for two reasons . Firstly Henry needs the experience and secondly Wenger will be able to control him .
