Has Theo let the Cat out of the Bag, or is he getting Itchy Feet? Naughty Nasri….

No doubt you have all read about Naughty Nasri’s  four letter Twitter comment he made last night so I shall not bother repeating it but what he also said during his discussion with others on there is that we should not believe all that is written about him in the press.

We have seen the newspapers report that he won’t sign a new contract yet, that Manchester United are interested in signing him and that Nasri himself has reported to have refused to rule out any move up there.

Nasri wrote on Twitter:

I just want tell you don’t listen (to) the newspaper and the rumours I will let you know if something happen.

So, on one hand he is saying don’t believe all the stories but on the other he says if something does happen he’ll tell. That hardly does much to convince fans he’s eager to sign a new contract, does it?

The other suggestion for him delaying in signing a new contract is that he wants to see who Wenger buys first!

Theo Walcott has been talking about all the speculation surrounding the exit of Nasri and Fabregas and it makes me wonder if he too is already getting itchy feet. He makes it clear he is a striker and wants to play in his right place instead of being stuck on the wing!

Of course I can understand why some of our players might be getting frustrated and thinking about leaving. They want to win things and we haven’t done that for six years.

Even so, he wants them to stay and Wenger to build on what we have rather than lose two of our better players. Walcott even hints that Wenger may have told the squad that he is going to spend, either that or Theo is doing what we all have to do and just listens/reads the gossip. But, Walcott wants his boss to go big!

The manager has said he is going to spend this summer and I’m intrigued to see who we’re going to get.

We’ve got a small squad and it would be nice to see a few additions. I’ve heard rumours of Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and signing a player of that calibre would get the crowd on their feet and help us hold on to our best players.

Of course I can understand why some of our players might be getting frustrated and thinking about leaving. They want to win things and we haven’t done that for six years.

I’m the same. I don’t want to remembered just for being quick. I want to be in the history books for winning things like Giggs and Scholes.

I’m lucky, I’m still only 22 so I’ve still got a lot of time on my side.

But when you’re at a big club like Arsenal and playing great football, you need to be winning things and at the moment the silverware is just not there.

Walcott  knows next season is going to be even harder than the last and to win the Premier League will be very difficult with so many teams around getting stronger.

Now we have Manchester City, Spurs and Liverpool coming into the frame and building on their squads, so it’s not going to be easy next season, Everyone at the club needs a break physically as well as mentally because things are going to change at Arsenal. We all still believe in what we’re doing but we have to start winning trophies.

I want to play up front a bit more. I was signed as a striker and I haven’t forgotten how to play there, with me being quick I can attract opponents and create more space for others.I’m not saying I’m going to win everything for Arsenal playing as a striker but I think I’ve developed and want to play up front.

There you have it Arsene Wenger, he’s a striker, you bought his as a striker, for goodness sake start next season off by playing him there. Doesn’t sound as if he fussed about competition for his place either – after all, he wants you to sign Benzema….

In fact, has Theo just let the cat out of the bag to reassure us fans that we are finally going to get a world-class striker in Karim Benzema??

Nah, don’t be daft, I bet he doesn’t know who we’ll get either….

Finally, the draw for the Champions League takes place in August and we are  in line to face either Udinese, Dynamo Kiev or Rubin Kazan.

I don’t think any of those will be easy…..

Have a good day all….

    Morning Rico,
    Good post, as usual.
Yeah, what’s with all this new stuff, why didn’t they bloody leave well alone?
Nasri & Walcott both talking about new signings. They’ll be coming on here and moaning with the rest of us next…
Why is it everyone can see the problem, except for AW and our useless Board???

  2. rico says:

    Morning kev

I’m glad they are talking too, Wenger needs to start listening though, thats where it goes wrong 😉

  3. arsenal fan says:

    Morning all,
wish we would sign some fast just relax some of us ,more the time it takes more the restless the fans gonna get
abt nasri he doesnt look intrested in signing a new contract i think……

  4. allezkev says:

But that’s the trouble Rico, when you’re a meglomaniac you don’t listen to anyone else.
The only person Arsene listens to is his reflection in his bathroom mirror…

  5. rico says:

    Hi arsenal fan

Wenger will get there, eventually – prob last day of the woindow in search of a bargin…

  6. Lee says:

Morning peeps, more importantly, shakhtar donetsk are prepared to take D in part-exchange plus £4m for willian…anyone know anything about willian?

  7. Steve Palmer says:

    Morning Rico, good post,
Theo probably realises there’s more chance of him being centre forward than Benzema coming and i believe that as well, What’s all this new gadgetry Wath was all over the place, i still hadn’t figured out the old way could be a while to sort this one out

  8. rico says:

He so annoys me kev, he changed our club for the better, the fans were happy and we were winning, not evrything but enough to keep us happy, all he has done in the last few years has undone all he made good….

what a pratt he is, and the board are no better, in fact they are worse for sitting on their butts watching it unfold….

  9. rico says:

    Morning Steve and Lee

    re Willan,

I can’t see us needing him, he’s an attacking midfielder but if it meant we saw the back of denilson 😉

  10. ArsenalDK says:

Hello Guys! Slightly off topic, but, I read yesterday, that Barcelona have agreed therms with Alexis Sanchez for a reported fee of around 22 million pounds.

Surely, if that is true, they cannot afford our captain?

  11. rico says:

Surely Wenger will soon give Theo a central role Steve? He can stick Benzema on the wing 😉

  12. allezkev says:

AF, Arsenal need a serious signing, a statement of intent, a signing that tells the fans that the club really is listening to our concerns, and that AFC are once more a big player…
Otherwise we’ll just drift into a state of mediorcrity, where none of the top players consider Arsenal as a serious club anymore, a club that is a contender. As that Ass Evra said, a finishing school…

  13. rico says:

Hi ADK, you can always go off topic here 🙂

I don’t think they would be able to afford him and Sanchez but i don’t think they can afford him in any case as we have struck a £54M price on him (reportedly)

    However, won’t stop Madrid trying

  14. ArsenalDK says:

I’m afraid that Wenger has made a big mistake with project youth. He’s under big pressure to sign world class players. And when has Wenger ever done that i wonder?

I will not get my hopes up.. I just hope that moral in the squad isn’t so bad, that it cannot be repaired..

  15. Irish_Goon says:

The players seem to be forgetting that its THEIR fault that we only won 11 points in the last 12 games of the season.

It does my tits in when they come out and say what they SHOULD be doing as if they didn’t realise that during the season!

Maybe if Nasri had of finished his chances at Bolton we would have won the league, or Bentdner against Barca or if Djourou had of grew a set of balls and challenged at set pieces!

Yet they all come out and say we need to be more clinical or more aggressive. Then these players have the cheek to want to leave the club because we haven’t won anything!

  16. arsenal fan says:

right will, agree completely but dont see it happening a big money signing hasnt happened at arsenal early ,last one was arshavin last day of the jan transfer window…. wish i will be wrong……
    diff topic
anyway liverpool signed henderson for 20 mil plus ngog i think…. that means wilshere is for 40mil….

  17. jollymike says:

It’s nothing new here. I think no-one knows what Wenger is thinking, and the press is just tagging us on the end of different moves so that if we actually get the player they have got it right, and if we don’t they’ll say we were outsmarted or outmuscled buy the other team paying more for the player.

  18. rico says:

No kev, we are not happy 😉

ADK, I don’t think Nasri will go, maybe there is truth in he wants to see who we sign and IF Wenger finally wakes up, both he and Cesc could stay….

Not banking on it mind you 😉

  19. rico says:

    Hi Irish Goon,

I understand exactly what you are saying there, bit more committment and passion wouldn’t have gone a miss – instead of strolling around like a sunday afternoon walk during the latter stage of the season….

  20. potter says:

I still believe the board are the reason for Arsene’s inertia over the last few years They have been merrily lining their pockets in increased share prices whilst starving Wenger of the funds needed. The really poor thing about it is that having now all sold up and pocketing the cash , they have been left in place to do more of the same. Where we are being linked with £20 million players and the standard squeals about the price are being raised others appear to be able to stump up the necessary cash . Remember he wasn’t scared to buy when we were at Highbury when Dein paved the way in the board room but now he seems to be watching over his shoulder before making any move..
I can’t really see any change in the way things have been going and until the present regime goes it will stay the same. I think he is making the best of a bad job but reckon he can only go on for so long doing so. I can only see things getting worse before they get better and whilst I don’t like the way football finances are going if you want to see success then the maxim that if you can’t beat them join them seems to apply here.

  21. rico says:

    Hi potter,

they have to take most of the blame, they should have been making sure wenger sorted the side out over the last few seasons but they’d rather sit on their butts and count their pennies…

I still don’t think they have made as much money available as we have seen reported over the years, they are past it….

  22. jollymike says:

    @rico

I think he is looking and taking the ops that other teams don’t take. Wenger won’t buy a big name with a big prizetag. He will buy cheap, maybe a known player, but cheap.

He is thinking of South America so that he get’s a better prize. There is no-one in the PL with a huge prizetag coming in. Maybe a cheap out of contract or relegated player?

Everyone is thinking we need to sort out Nasri and Fab. Only way to do it is to buy big names.

  23. goonerstan says:

please potter…..that french twat was sold adebawhore and toure….what the hell did he use the funds for….u guess is as good as mine…

  24. potter says:

Missing my point Stan, the funds were used to strengthen the share price by bringing the debt down. Not by Wenger but by the board. I don’t think he is blameless but I reckon when he eventually does go , his memoirs and the details surrounding this period will be very interesting.

  25. goonerstan says:

Yeah but the team needs strengthening first….can shares play football…..that’s the fundamental problem with arsenal since the move to ashburton groove….we have moved from a fan first club to a board first….bloody hell

  26. W.A.T.H says:

He’s certainly arrived in a blaze or glory eh…………….. NOT…!

How to win friends and influence people when you take over as majority shareholder…!

  27. rico says:

Hi JM, its a long wait too i fear….

That Ashley Young news infuriates, he should be ours if we showed any balls in the market

  28. Lee says:

WATH, you think we’re all jumping the gun? And there will be the necessary ins & outs or same old same old??

  29. rico says:

That Willian is in the last year of his contract, he may not be that expensive…

Maybe Dudu will have a word 😉

  30. rico says:

Absolutely Lee, that would be worth a deal in itself 😉

Would be funny too as Denilson ‘recommended’ him earlier in the season, maybe back then something was on the cards…..

  31. rico says:

    Because he is English, he’s a winger, he’s a gooner, and, he’s ‘expensive’ in a Wenger world…

Dreadful, he’s just what we need….

  32. W.A.T.H says:

I’m saying nuffin yet Lee………….. Sep 1st I’ll let you know what I thought and if I was right or wrong and will gladly admit if I was wrong or not.

Wenger tows the party line Rico and gets paid handsomely for it……….!

  33. rico says:

Liam Brady predicts busy summer for Wenger

Liam Brady predicts Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will do “a lot of business” this summer, and believes Samir Nasri will stay at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners saw another season which promised so much fail to deliver as their quest for honours quickly fell apart following defeat in the Carling Cup final to Birmingham.

While Wenger has indicated he will bring in some experienced talent to help his youngsters get over the line in 2012, as yet there have been no transfer dealings despite the likes of Liverpool wasting no time in already agreeing to spend £20million on England Under-21 international Jordan Henderson.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Lille’s Ivorian forward Gervinho, as well as Bolton defender Gary Cahill and promising young Blackburn defender Phil Jones.

Brady, head of youth development at Arsenal, maintains the north London club will soon complete on their transfer targets.

“There will be a lot of business done this year and I think we will be spending a bit more money than we have done in past seasons. I think Arsenal will spend this year,” Brady told talkSPORT.

However, the former Republic of Ireland midfielder maintained signing talent is never easy, given the competitive market.

“Where are the players to go around everybody? It is not only the clubs in England, but also all the big European clubs are in the transfer market,” he said.

Midfielder Nasri last night urged Gunners fans to ignore reports he could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium.

The France international has yet to agree a new deal and is said to be a target for both Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Brady, though, is confident the 23-year-old will soon commit his long-term future to the Gunners.

“We all rate Nasri,” Brady said.

“I believe they had extensive contractual talks but not reached a conclusion, but sometimes it takes time.

“I am optimistic he will be playing with Arsenal next year.”

  34. jollymike says:

I think that’s good news. Right back is a weak spot in our team. Have we got anyone after Sagna and Eboue in that position? If Eboue goes we probably need one more signing in that area.

  35. goonerstan says:

And this morning the benzema news resurfaces….how true and feasible is this story…just don’t see it happening though.

  36. potter says:

The the Benzema rumour has just come back on the back of Walcott’s comments . Shouldn’t think there is anything in it.

  37. rico says:

I think it’s good to hear someone like Brady say Wengers going to finally spend some money, at least he is on the inside of the club and he’s not really any reason to lie…..

  38. rico says:

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that promising defender Carl Jenkinson, 19, has arrived from League One side Charlton Athletic. His signing was confirmed as young Gunners Benik Afobe, Chuks Aneke and Oguzhan Ozyakup also pledged their futures to the Club.

Good news, now Eboue can join QPR 😉

    Laters all

  39. rico says:

potter, just been reading that too, not good but at least he’ll rest well now over the summer….

  40. W.A.T.H says:

Brady only says we may spend more than the last few yrs……… that clears that up then, means we’ll spend a tenner instead of a fiver…!

  41. W.A.T.H says:

Jenkinson comes from an Arsenal supporting family…….. Maybe another one who will show some passion for the shirt then… lets hope so….! that’ll make about 6 then…!

  42. allezkev says:

    Gibbo injured again!
How lucky can one lad be?
Jenkinson in, Eboue out, and a profit. That’ll do nicely.
    Sept 1st….The suspense………….

  43. W.A.T.H says:

    AK your such a pessamist..!

    I’ll get me coat………………………………………………………………..

  44. allezkev says:

    Sagittarius, Lee…..
Jones having a medical at OT…….
That means Samba to stay at Blackburn….
    Pessamist, me!!!

  45. allezkev says:

    Where’s Rico?
Fido must be taking her all the way to Oxford……
Good news on the 3 Kids signing new contracts. All we need is Henri to follow suit.

  46. allezkev says:

Lee, we got Jenkinson…… cheer up mate….
Offski for a spell, see ya later i hope Lee

  47. rinseout says:

The thing about Theo saying that is, it’s similar to when Xavi et al mouth off about Cesc.
We don’t like it and we shouldn’t be doing it. Theo’s a bit naive though so no blame, but someone needs to have a word, e.g. John Cross when he’s in there doing the media training. Nasri must’ve missed that session 😉

  48. arsenal fan says:

    sry to be rude
BUT WHAT THE F**** ARE WE DOING
This was the season where we had to start of strongly in the window and we sign jenkinson for 2 MILLION no offense on that why dont we raise some money and get some player with pl experience and quality
here are manu they are the champions they sign players just days into the market and we who need good players are waiting for bargains wheres the intent….what abt the fans….the future….

  49. Steve Palmer says:

    Afternoon all,
Wenger is a bit of a sly old dog, the impression i get is if he is going to be doing business in this window he would already have arranged it and has gone to South America to let the mad rush die down a bit. He will not go crazy but we will have signings , he may have been told by his scouts about prospects out there and would want to speak to their families face to face, so if anybody comes back i predict very young. i expect to be surprised with a big name when he returns but only one he will stick with his youngsters without doubt, he may change a few but thats his long term plan and he wont change.

  50. rico says:

If thay have Will, i’ll be very surprised, hope you are right though….

Maybe that is why Cahill has gone anywhere yet 😉

  51. allezkev says:

According to CAFC Youth, Jenkinson is right-footed, can play centre-back, left-back & midfield, but is seen primarily as a right-back.
    Adios Eboue…

  52. agirlagunner says:

What is this high-tech looking comment box all about, rico? Haha.

As for Nasri, let him play hard to get. He’ll sign eventually. Or not. 🙁

  53. rico says:

Hi agag, the new techy stuff is annoying.. 😉

I think Nasri will sign, especially after he sees all Wengers signings 😉

    Steve, re Cahill??

  54. rico says:

kev, if we get Cahill, i’d be over the moon – if we get this Ricky Gervais guy i’ll be ok with it and if we then get Samba and the Willian aswell, all will not be quite so bad….

Then, on the final day, nab Benzema from Madrid for a cut down price, like the yids did to get VdV….

    🙂

  55. allezkev says:

    Rico, that sounds just dandy.
Don’t think Blackburn would sell both Jones & Samba though…

  56. Will says:

I have just never seem Wenger so vocal about transfers so I have a feeling we will be seeing him smiling in a photo with a couple of big name players ala Sol.

  57. rico says:

Make it a winner Steve 😉

Good point kev, Johnson from Brum then, him and Cahill would be equally as good 🙂

  58. agirlagunner says:

I stared at it for a good few moments, rico… all those log-in boxes are scary. Hah.

Oh and, we’re not getting VDW at RB, then, rico. 🙁

    Hello, Steve and AK.

  59. rico says:

Will, but be honest, he has done this before, he said in Jan he would get a CH, he didn’t…

He is know to tell porkies and I won’t believe in him until deals are done…..

agag, i thought i had done something wrong until WATH said about his looking the same last night, HH i am on about 😉 We’ll get used to it I guess grrrr

As for VdW, i don’t think so either, not now we have Jenkinson…

Now for a proper LB 😉

  60. allezkev says:

You like it Rico, took me ages to work it out… My brain hurts lol.
Will, what a great mental picture…. I do hope you’re right.
Dann is a scouser fan, so they reckon he’ll go there.
That leaves Johnson & Cahill, and only Man City to worry about Rico.
Hi Agag, how’s things on your side of the globe?

  61. allezkev says:

Rico, maybe Wenger will come back from Sth America with a left-back…
Or, AW sees Botelho as an option?

  62. agirlagunner says:

Spiffy new look, AK. 🙂 I’ve never been able to figure that one out. Must be, I didn’t really try.

WordPress must be on the GG, rico. 🙂

How come we’ve not gotten any of the Dutch? I like them. 😀

Our first choice LB is fantastic. (gulps) I said that with a straight face, by the way. 😉

  63. rico says:

It’s good kev, why did it take ages, it’s three buttons to press isn’t it – you men 😉 😉

Citeh have too many defenders already and Cahill will know he’d face a battle where as with us, i think he’d be first choice with TV. 🙂

  64. rico says:

We have the best one though agag, he’s got more muscles than the others 😉

Nah, Gibbs is injured again agag, he cannot be relied on, we need to get another in… I take it you meant Gibbs 😉

  65. allezkev says:

Agag, agree about Dutch players, they settle into England so well, like a beer & a laugh. A perfect fit to me.

  66. allezkev says:

    Rico, haha, i guess i’m just helpless…….lol
The only thing that worries me about Cittee, is the possibility that they may sell Jerome Boeteng, that would free up a place in their 25.

  67. agirlagunner says:

It rained all day, AK… I don’t like it one bit. 🙁 The Dutch are perfectly fit did you say? I agree. 😀

I see, you’ve been checking out RvP’s thighs, again, rico. But believe me, VDW has lots of them, too.

    Hahaha on Gibbs.

  68. rico says:

But who would want him kev? And wouldn’t they need a like for like replacement, he’s a LB isn’t he?? Maybe they’d like Clichy 😉

  69. allezkev says:

.Rico, i thought he played centre-back in the Bundeliga [Hamburg i think?].
Could be wrong, but wasn’t AW looking at him, as a C/H..?
Agag, it’s nice and sunny down my way. It’s not monsoon for you yet is it?

  70. rico says:

I checked kev, he can play anywhere accross the back, but, interesting news is that Bayern Munich are confident of buying him this summer..

Bugger, you could be right, they will go for Cahill…..

  71. allezkev says:

Rico, that is a distinct possibility, what with them now being in the Champs Lge.
    Johnson it is then!

  72. rico says:

I have emailed KT, but no reply to date – i have a post of his in the bank, in fact i have a few in the bank… 🙂 🙂

I’m hanging on for Cahill kev 😉

  73. allezkev says:

    You and me both eh?
Wonder if Arsene will come back from Sth America with Alvarez? [or is he back already?]

  74. agirlagunner says:

Guilty as charged. I’m probably the only one here who likes Clichy, AK. Yes, unfortunately, the monsoonal rains are upon us. 🙁

KT must be on hols. 🙂 Trying to recover from our emotional wringer of a season, rico.

The Mancs have lost no time snapping up players. AW, where are our big signings??? 🙂

  75. allezkev says:

Apparantly Sunderland are signing John O’shea, Wes Brown and Darren Gibson. Now that’s what you call smart management. Buy a young quality player and finance it by selling your dross.
    Are you watching Arsene…?

  76. rico says:

I think we will sign Alvarez, that all came out a bit to confident for it not to be true…

We all love Clichy agag, it’s just he’s gone backwards… 🙁

Come on, we signed three players already – 2 with there own diaper pack…. 😉

  77. allezkev says:

    Is that Willian any good?
Tim Vickery a Sth American-based British journo, reckons Willian would be a good replacement for Nasri..!
Mr Vickery happens to ba a Spurs fan, hmmmm!

  78. rico says:

    😆 kev….

I have heard he’d be a bloody good signing for us, he’s doing well in a tough russian league…

  79. agirlagunner says:

AFC shall now be changing its rep from a feeder club to a feeding bottle club. Lol. Pampers FC, it is. 🙂

Good night, you two! Try not to worry about our non-signings.

  80. rico says:

kev, google Gervinho and look at the wikki return, not the actual page but the google results….

  81. rico says:

Nah kev, the google return says he currently plays for Arsenal 😉

Just off for dinner, back in 20 mins 😉

  82. Lee says:

AK & Rico, I was looking at pictures of gervinho and he’s not got a forehead, it’s more six-head!! 🙂 but if he can score who gives a monkeys?

  83. rico says:

Kt has been in touch, he is bogged down in exam papers but will be back soon – he say’s hello and best wishes to everyone …..

  84. JonJon says:

    utd have got jones..
good..that gives us more chance of keeping nasri and signing young and cahill…

they need a keeper next and maybe thats all fergie gets this window..

if they outspend us this window i will be very confused seeing as though they are 700mil in debt..
the key players in the window are now starting to make their move, theres no point sitting about and waiting like we usually do just go get the players..

  85. allezkev says:

Does anyone on here think that UEFA’s new financial regulation’s are really going to make any difference???
    Window dressing methinks…

  86. allezkev says:

That’s a great feeling to have Will. Share it around…
Rico, i just don’t believe that UEFA have the balls to face up to the big, overspending clubs.
What if they all threaten to breakaway again, as they did prior to the Champions Lge???
Wenger’s living in a fantasy world if he thinks UEFA will do him & Arsenal a favour. You either swim {spend}, or you sink { Decline}…

  87. JonJon says:

    hi guys.
im hoping we are in the news soon for all the right reasons..
we need some quality signings to help recover from last season..
those wounds wont heal with a shit summer..

  88. Lee says:

It’s a roller coaster ride…..feel positive, feel negative, feel positive!! Am feeling positive at the moment though……I think Cahill is done!

  89. rico says:

Thats exactly my view too kev, what will they actually do to any side that overspends??

Imagine the chavs, or either mancs being docked points… nah, i don’t think so either….

  90. rico says:

Guys, Pat has done what you asked, he has written a post which will go up in the next day or so – you little tinkers keep sending me posts and i cannot keep up 😉 😉

I’m not complaining though – but if i miss one, just give me a nudge 😉 😉

  91. allezkev says:

This is an anlyse from a F.C. Porto supporter. Porto has also a very good Academy. The names maybe sayng noting for you but I think it is an interesting analyse and explain the way how Porto think:
How could it be FC Porto started the deployment of next season in great tranquility. Even the statements something out of season, after winning the 4th title at the time, Fernando, shook the heart of the group and spread to other players. More, nor could it be otherwise. I do not believe there is any player who does not feel a tremendous pride that made the time at Porto and who wants to lightly abandon this group.
Still, I believe that in the case of Fernando, probably more fragile psychological point of view, allowed himself to deceive the pages of newspapers and that of today, do not think he missed a good opportunity to have stayed silent.
Comments aside, Fernando is a great player, there are not many like him and as such, does not appear if a top club and a lot of money does not make sense to leave. Will play the Champions and also no doubt that its value is consistent with the termination clause, will surely be undone if you make another level this season. Clubs like Lyon, Roma, Juventus, Malaga, there are clubs for Fernando.
FC Porto has given a clear signal that the herd is to maintain. Helton, Rolando, Guarin, Hulk and Ruben Micael already renewed, Otamendi is to buy the remaining 50%, perhaps renew Belluschi, Fernando might follow suit, plus a portion was purchased by James and lack even the renovation of Falcon. Hard core is guaranteed and we should stress the postures of Hulk and Hawk, two of the biggest stars of this group, who with his speeches have shown a great respect for all they have achieved in this group.
That is to say … Villas Boas asked and Pinto da Costa is meeting.
Though the season has been a success there is some small imbalances at the squad and especially at the level of training that should be taken into account. With regard to the current squad, FC Porto players need to inject the training squad. He finished the season with seven Portuguese players, too few to several players who have high level of training.
In the defensive sector think there is a surplus of quality at the right hand is not quite normal rotation among almost game by game and Fucile Sapunaru. With Sereno appear as an alternative, I think there is room here for someone to go out and gamble on a young center, André Pinto?
For the midfield, the gap is clear in the area of Fernando. Souza did not match, was more even in the position ahead of Fernando, where clearly the quality exists in large amounts, at the risk of demotivation one of these great players, Guarin, Ruben Micael and Belluschi. Do not forget that FC Porto have players like Andre Castro, Sergio Oliveira think that training take place in this squad.
In the attack, and by all indications, with the permanence of the Hulk, Falcon, Varela and James and the hiring was announced in Iturbe and Djalma, there is not much more space than to a player area. Even though they speak many foreign names, FC Porto has a player in Orlando area, top, which can clearly provide a different option for the industry forward.
Keep the best lead and not sign new players probably will not come a significant cash inflow, however, FC Porto continues to rely on many players under contract with the club should have an immediate solution. Talk of Miguel Lopez, Tomas Costa, Prediger, for example. But even within the current squad, there may be players, although they are excellent choices, they may go out to play more regularly and thus the FC Porto fit a large sum: Beto, Pawel Kieszek, Cristian Rodriguez, Walter Souza, Addy, or Sapunaru Belluschi same.
In training we must be more discerning and drastically reduce the number of players on loan. There is great quality, but the possibility of selling and guaranteeing a percentage of sales is always a safe business. Among them, and without much chance of being part of the next squad are: Bura, Rabiola, Rui Pedro, Ukra, Ricardo Dias, Chula Jorge, Pedro Moreira, Abdoulaye Ba, Yero, Ivo Pinto Soares, Renato, etc …
Keep Yes, players like Sergio Oliveira, Josue, Diego Viana, Atsu, Eduardo Silva and Hugo Sousa, young people need to play at the highest level and preferably in a team that give you a place in the starting lineup.
Beyond Iturbe and Djalma, FC Porto has already ensured the young Kelvin curiously three players who play in attack and in the wings, which suggests that some players currently in training loan scheme can be assigned definitely. If not, will not have made sense to hire these players and thus fatten the future of the wings with Porto.
Possible new entries are clearly dependent on any departures of players, however, because the analysis of breeding and training, it makes sense to hire a FC Porto goalkeeper, may be even Bracali as the third goalkeeper and bet- networks a young man who begins to cement a place in goal (Hugo Ventura) and a young man who bet in the short term can take the place of Fernando. That player could well be Ignjovski Aleksandar , a young Serb who played on loan at TSV Munich and that despite the low height, the level of Moutinho, Andrew Castro, is a true warrior to defend and with more capacity for creativity than Fernando.
And speaking of great talents, knowing that Joao Moutinho and Guarin another year at this level and Champions will be difficult to hold them, the successor, though he could come later, could be another Colombian, Edwin Cardona is currently at the Toulon Tournament with James and divide the place of top scorer in the selection. It’s a phenomenal young man, who followed since 2009, creative medium, high scores many goals, the multifaceted attack with great maturity and playing ball.
Also important to reduce the number of players in the squad. Who has so much quality in training does not make sense to have a squad of 26, 25 or even 24 players. The competition will be higher, lower costs and focus on training a reality. Players who will remain as juniors for this upcoming season, such as Paulo Jorge, Tiago Ferreira, Toze, Mikel and even Lupeta may arise in one or another call during the season.
But the important fact is being done. Keep up this working group. It was thus in 2003 and with the successes the following year.
It’s vacation time but it is crucial that the mistakes do not happen last year that was going to stage with players whose head was in other countries and make signings that took weeks and weeks to take effect. The foray into the market must be surgical and made up to departure stage in early July 2011, as well as just the fact that many players do not go on stage and participate in the first official games of the season, the reason America’s Cup and the World U-20.
And now only needs 23 days to return to work

Young Guns report that we had a bid for Phil Jones accepted…….

He obviously wanted to win things…….

Actually, it seems he just wanted to stay up norfffff

  94. allezkev says:

OK, Jones is a Northern lad, so you can understand i suppose why he wanted to stay up in Lancashire.

Smalling was living in Kent. Smalling was an Arsenal fan. Yet he chose ManUre.

Winning nothing for 6 years has eroded Wenger’s reputation, in particular, to talented British players.

Even the top French players aren’t interested anymore…
