Grow Up Szczesny!! Is Koscielny set to be the marquee player to leave this summer?

Morning all…

Why does Szczesny feel the need to open his big fat choppers?

If you look at Chelsea’s fixtures, they have Tottenham and Everton left and they won’t be easy games. And Tottenham do not have enough quality, so there you go…

Talk about set us up for a huge fall. Any true professional would know to keep quiet until the goal has been achieved, not before!

Grow up and shut up!!

Back to our main man in defence.

It happens every summer, well it certainly seems to for us…

When did we last go through a transfer window without worrying about losing one of our better, if no best players?

This time around, the stories in the press suggest that Bayern Munich want our Frenchman and they are preparing to offer £20 million for the player.

On 24 July 2012, Laurent Koscielny signed a new long term contract which is believed to keep him at Arsenal until 2017.

STOP Arsene, STOP Ivan!

Stop selling players who have worked hard, playing well and are becoming a crucial part of our future and any success that may be lurking around the corner.

It’s time to get rid of this ‘Arsenal are a selling club’ label we have stuck to to us……

If Arsene Wenger needs to make the club money each summer, and some believe he has to, then do so by selling off players who have all too often this season, and last, let the manager, club and team-mates down. We have a few…

Thankfully our French defender has made it very clear to all fans that he’s happy and he’s not looking for a move!

“My contract lasts for another four years. I have no wish to be elsewhere,”

I’m sure we all have a list of those we’d like to sign, but equally important, we need to free up space in the squad for them to join. Not only will selling the half-hearters make the club a few million pounds but it will free up a lot of money wasted on paying them each month.

Mannone

Djourou

Squillaci

Denilson

Bendtner

Park

Santos

Arshavin

Chamakh

Gervinho

Fabianski

I’m sure there are more…

Some on that list will be departing for free this summer, but the rest, if sold, could give Arsene Wenger £15-20 million this summer and that’s me being quite conservative. But that amount alone would pay for a top class goal keeper, or a holding/defensive midfielder.

Then think about the wages we will save, that figure would be staggering, it really would.

Let’s not forget the reserves, youth, under 21’s, whatever name they go by these days. They all get paid. Many will never make it with us so keep on letting them go I say. It means more money saved instead of more money wasted.

Not only does Wenger/Gazidis need to sign a minimum of four classy players this season, my own view is that if Arsene plans to stay, he needs help.

He has Bould and Banfield to shore up the defensive side to our play and I doubt many will argue that over the last few weeks, maybe since we lost to the Toots, we are defending better as a team. Good, about time too and whoever/whatever is behind it, long may that remain.

But, as we witnessed early in the season, when we defend as a unit, our attacking play suffers somewhat.

Well, sneak in a man to help you Arsene, get Henry, Bergkamp or any other man you trust and will listen to ….

Get Arsenal ready to challenge for next season with a style of football that will grace 2014…

Not one that lives off the back of 2004……..

That’s it from me…

Have a good day all…

    ‘shore up’not sure up.
Don’t think we should sell Fabianski at all.
Bale said earlier in the season that they were better than us…..one of our players gives them a bit back…….no difference.

  2. rico says:

Spelling police in then, well done….

Two games left, they are in pole position, hardly the time to be mouthing off I’d say…

    Morning all…

  3. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to the Lady of the House and all fellow Gooners in residence.

Lee – I see you want to start your day of with a bang with a forceful pedal interface with Tony Pubis’s anus. If you could arrange that and sell tickets, the club would have enough money to buy a world class striker.

  4. Lee says:

Hahahaha CG, he truly is a horrible man! I think it’s form an orderly queue to kick him in his arse!

  5. Jay says:

When you look at that list of two bob players ,you wonder what Wenger was on when he either bought them or gave them lucrative contracts.Millions of the clubs money going to players that no one would touch with a bargepole. No wonder he has to sell our best players each year ,to subside the wages of the likes of Squillaci, etc

  6. kene says:

Gervinho shouldn’t be in that list. I agree he can be annoying atimes but he is one of the fews guys that can break into the opponent’s box with a slight twist of the body….

  7. Scott from Oz says:

Personally, i would rather players shut up and do their job, and i am one of Szczesnys greatest fans…..just not on twitter 🙂
Fabianski…i do not want him to go…he is good enough.
Koscielny will not go anywhere unless pushed, and if that is the case, i will sack Arsenal and start following bloody netball!!
The guy has become one of our top 2-3 players after showing glimpses of his talent over the last few seasons, and to lose him now would prove beyond any doubt at all that our club is not interested in even attempting to mount any sort of challenge.
Selling another of our best will show we just aren’t trying.

  8. Jay says:

Chesa is just trying to wind up Spuds fans, and endear himself to Gooners.Good luck to him if upsets the scum.

  9. rico says:

But unless AW does a u-turn, Fab is free to leave…

Agree re Kos, thankfully he has made it quite clear he is happy, should the club accept a £20 million from BM, then this current major shareholder and manager have reached the lowest of the low!

  10. rico says:

Lewandowski is rumored to be on AW’s shopping list..

Now that would be some sign of intent if we signed him…

  11. Scott from Oz says:

Rico, Kozzer going would be the end of it for me.
I say that because the other guys wanted to go, and made it known.
Selling Kozzer would have no justification at all, except the yank pricks profit.
Wenger, as well, would incur my wrath for not having the balls to say bloody no.
I still say Kozzer will stay.
    I hope i am right.

  12. Canadian Gooner says:

Lee & Rico – How much do you think individual PL fans throughout England, Stoke excepted, would pay for the privelege to kick him in the arse? I’d buy a ticket for that before I’d buy one to watch his knuckle dragging Neanderthals.

  13. Lee says:

Rico, I think you’ll find it’s Swarovski that he’s in for plus Reg Varney will for a deadly partnership up front!

  14. rico says:

That’s my point Scott, we have a large number that could be sold and not missed…

    But easily replaced…

  15. Scott from Oz says:

I really will sack the club, or at least go into hibernation, if Kozzer or Jack are sold, never to return….at least until Wenger and Stan go.

  16. Scott from Oz says:

And those 10-12 will raise more than 20 million, but cost us less in real terms than losing Kozzer.

  17. Canadian Gooner says:

Jay – Good point! Postponing the kick-up will also allow more time to sell tickets.

  18. rico says:

I’m hoping that Stoke are still in need of three points for safety when they face the Totts…

  19. Jay says:

When ever Rumours about the club selling Nasri .Fab,,,RVP etc,Wenger protesed that they were all staying .None were moved on till closing dates on Season tickets renewals ,crafty F……s

  20. Bradster says:

    Hi all,

I don’t see Fabianski wanting to renew his contract. He’ll want to be guaranteed a first team place to stake a claim for Poland.

On talking trash…our team would be champions by 30 points if the results were based on what the players and Wenger say.

Gotta hope Wigan wins tonight, makes our game against them possibly easier.

  21. rico says:

No Jay, he is not 😉

    Hi Bradster,

I don’t see Fab wanting to stay either. Not good for him and Poland… He must see this as being his best chance for his country and will want to know he’s first choice at whatever club he plays for.

    But, guessing as always…

    Ditto re tonight and Wigan..

  22. Jay says:

What happened to that 40,000 waitng list ,a friend of mine was told he would not get a ticket for years on the waiting list. 2 years later the club contacted him to say there were seats available at various prices .

  23. devilgunner says:

Righto. Move your ARSES from the middle. They are occupying the space between my kicking foot and Tony P’s smelly anal hole. Otherwise I will start kicking my way in so that I will be in the front position.

    Good Morning Lady and Gentlemen.

  24. Emmanuel says:

Well done dude though i don’t think fabiaski and gervinho should be on that list. They are our regular substitutes and gervinho can break into d defense though he can be an ass-hole at times. Spurs deserve scezyny’s comment: a payback maybe. Will cease to be a gunner if Arsene Wenger shows Kos the way out!

  25. Canadian Gooner says:

DG – I think everybody on here today, and I’m sure many elsewhere, share your sentiments; but if we all start kicking lumps out of each other that clueless cretin might escape in the ensuing mele. You’ll just have to wait your turn.

  26. Adam says:

Just got an e mail from AFC telling me that the ST demands will be sent out as soon as our final league position is known. Does this mean that, if we don’t make the top 4 they will reduce the prices for next season?

  27. Canadian Gooner says:

Adam – Now whose wearing the rose coloured glasses?

Anyway, I’m of to bed. So, I’ll bid you all a good afternoon or evening. Keep the faith.

  28. allezkev says:

    Lewandowski on Wenger’s list…?!!!

Yeah, of course he fcking is, blah blah blah.

Season Tickets up for renewal per chance? 🙁

  29. W.A.T.H says:

Such a moaning old codger your becoming Grandad…. Have you no faith… Of course we are in for Lewandowski… We asked if they’d be prepared to sell him for a fiver…!.

If we don’t make 4th Adam I am told prices will come down as cup vouchers for Europe won’t count as club on about making prices same cost as Capital one games….. Just a rumour.

  30. adam says:

Hi Wath. I assume we are due for a refund on our renewals as we didn’t get the full cup game allowance this season.

  31. W.A.T.H says:

Not sure how they working that Adam but i heard they will structure it differently if we don’t make CL….!

  32. W.A.T.H says:

Seems really daft to me sending out ST renewals when we don’t even know where we finishing…? they they must be in by June 1st… yeh right…! Dream on…!

  33. devilgunner says:

    Ahhhhh!!!!

    at long last.

I have been trying to enter today since 11 o’clock. And WP kept sending me to their homepage.

    It was frustrating.

Lewandowski??? I was banging the drum for him two years ago. When he was not so much known as today. Who do we go for? Ahhhhh yes. Giroud who wants to bugger off to PSG or Bayern. He surely is having some recriminations about choosing us not BM now isnt he?

Sod it son. Just buckle up and start scoring so that you might be better than TH14.

Chezzer is a joke. he should look at himself in the mirror. Pray to God that the chavs win (they can fight for 2nd if Shitty drop points today) and maybe then maybe the spuds will really start to believe that whatever they do they will always finish behind us.

If AW sells Kozzer………..well then he deserves the same treatment that Tony P stands to receive.

  34. devilgunner says:

This is what I said yesterday.

It will leave AW tearing his hair out…………….A lawyer involved in the landmark Bosman ruling 18 years ago lodged a European Commission complaint yesterday against UEFA rules aimed at limiting the spending of top football clubs.
European soccer’s ruling body UEFA will bring in Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations next season to ensure clubs move towards break-even or face exclusion from continental competition.
Jean-Louis Dupont, representing Belgian player agent Daniel Striani, is challenging the break-even rule and believes it restricts competition.
“In effect a club owner is prohibited from overspending even if such overspending aims at growing the club,” Dupont said in a statement.
He added the rule restricts investment, ensures the continued dominance of the leading clubs, reduces transfer activity and is likely to lead to a cut in player wages and the income of agents.
UEFA suspended Turkish team Besiktas from European competition a year ago over unpaid bills and announced in December the same punishment for Spanish side Malaga.
The European Commission confirmed it had received a complaint but declined to comment further. UEFA said the Commission, the European Parliament, clubs and leagues had all supported its FFP initiative and that it was designed to guarantee long-term viability of football.
It said it believed FFP was fully in line with EU law and was confident the Commission would reject the complaint.
Dupont said that even if the ban on overspending was justifiable, it would be illegal because UEFA could achieve its aims with a less restrictive measure.
He added UEFA could instead require that any spending beyond projected income be fully guaranteed for the duration of a season.
Dupont was part of the legal team that secured the Bosman ruling at the European Court of Justice in 1995.
The ruling ended national league limits on foreign European Union footballers and also allowed players to move to other football clubs without a transfer fee at the end of their contracts.

  35. devilgunner says:

and this is what Blufftini bluffed his way with in answer………..

UEFA has defended its financial fair play rules after a claim by one of Europe’s most eminent football lawyers that the governing body would be unlikely to win a legal challenge.
Jean-Louis Dupont, who was part of the legal team that won the landmark Bosman ruling in the 1990s and who led the case that forced FIFA and UEFA to compensate clubs for players on international duty, claims financial fair play (FFP) will breach European competition law.
Dupont admits the European Commission has agreed to FFP but says the European Court of Justice may take a different view.
UEFA insists however that FFP will stimulate competition.
A UEFA spokesman said: “UEFA is aware, that there are large differences between the comparative wealth of different clubs and countries, but financial fair play does not have financial equality as its objective.
“However, more investors should be attracted if club football is more sustainable and those clubs with sustainable and stable business models will be in a position to become more competitive.”
Dupont, writing a column in the Wall Street Journal, said: “Some of Europe’s biggest clubs are, unsurprisingly, the loudest supporters of rules that en-trench their dominance.
“The time is right for a strong reminder from the EU’s anti-trust authorities that football, like any other multibillion-euro industry, must comply with the law.
“As an agreement whereby industry participants jointly decide to limit investments, FFP likely constitutes collusion and hence a violation of EU competition law. FFP may also infringe other EU freedoms such as the free movement of workers and services.
“Even if FFP were sufficiently legitimate and necessary to justify its distortions of EU principles, however, it would still have to clear a final hurdle: proportionality.
“UEFA would need to convince the EU’s judges in Luxembourg that FFP is the least restrictive means of achieving its aims. This seems unlikely.”
Dupont argues that UEFA could improve the financial balance of football by imposing a “luxury tax” on high-spending clubs but believes that would be blocked by the big clubs with the most political clout.

  36. devilgunner says:

    I wonder who will win.

One touch of the judge’s hammer and a scribble with a pen will leave AW and SK with egg on their face and they have to back off from all they have said. All those wasted years.

Off now to pick the little one.

  37. Scott from Oz says:

Surely UEFA can make the rules up for their own competition though, whether they are right or wrong.

  38. Lee says:

Olivier Giroud’s assertion that he has had a better all-round debut season in England than Didier Drogba and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has certainly raised some eyebrows.

“17 goals and 11 assists – that is better than Henry and Drogba in their first seasons,” said Giroud.

The Frenchman, who joined the Gunners last summer from Ligue 1 side Montpellier, has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season, chipping in with 10 assists, but has frequently come in for criticism from fans and pundits alike.

However, his latest comments are going to do little to quell that sentiment, and while his total tally eclipses that of Drogba, who scored 16 times in his first season at Chelsea, it pales in insignificance to Henry who bagged 26 goals and 11 assists en route to becoming Arsenal’s record goal scorer.

While Giroud will point to his overall impact since moving from France little under 12 months ago, it is his league form that has proved the biggest cause for concern, with the striker scoring just 11 goals, which have only come over an eight game spread.

When comparing his first season in the Premier League with that of Henry and Drogba, Giroud’s claims simply don’t appear to add up. While he has enjoyed a particularly fruitful campaign, he has played more minutes than Henry – and markedly more than Drogba – has been involved in less goals, boasts a pretty dismal minutes-per-goal ratio and has the lowest shot conversion rate of the three.

In Giroud’s defence, it must be said that he is playing in a below-par Arsenal side, whereas Thierry Henry’s tally was recorded for an Arsenal side that finished second in the league (albeit a distant second to champions Man United) and reached the final of the UEFA Cup. Didier Drogba, meanwhile, played a pivotal role in a Chelsea side that won the Premier League with a record points total.

Overall, Giroud has not had a particularly bad season, but comparing him with Henry and Drogba, he is simply not in the same class.

Arsenal fans, how do you feel Olivier Giroud has fared in his first season in England? Could the Frenchman become a Gunners legend, or will he quickly fade away like Marouane Chamakh?

  39. allezkev says:

That is an interesting list of players, in the above post…
    Good post btw Rico…

But how much would the club stand to make from that bunch?

Mannone, Fabianski, Squillaci, Chamakh and Arshavin are all on a Bosman this summer.
Yes, we’ll lose their wages, but that’s all…

Park, Santos & Denilson will all go for less, a lot less, than Wenger paid for them…
Again we’ll lose their wages, and that’s assuming that a club will pay a fee for them?!

Djourou, we’ll probably just about cover the cost of developing him and his wages since, maybe?

Bendtner is gonna be a loss maker, big wages to cover for and a big reputation, in his own head, to get rid of…

Gervinho will stay I would imagine…

Wenger will be very lucky to get say, £10m for the 10 to go, that’s if they do…

Ironically, I’d be quite happy to see Fabianski stay…
But on very sensible wages of course…

  40. tsgh says:

    Afternoon all,

What a beautiful but pollen filled day. lol

And Wenger would save us £7 million a year… 😀

You are not volunteering to do the job for free are you? 😀

The question is will you play ‘fat sam style’ direct footballl or Total football. You know me I prefer total football… 😉

  41. tsgh says:

Hi Kev… what happened to the days when AW could sell Pascal Cygan for £2m… bring back those days…

  42. allezkev says:

Yes Ginge, those were the days of Cygan, Stepanovs, Tavralidis, Shabaan, Kaba Diawara, Mendez, Inamoto, Warmuz, Cabriello (spelling) glorious days they were…

Gotta give Giroud a second season, at least.
Likewise Podolski, but Gervinho is living on borrowed time.
One more year for the Gerv I reckon…

  43. allezkev says:

Then again, Gervinho could the Thursday night Star…
The man to set the Europa Cup alight…
    I can hardly wait… 😀

  44. tsgh says:

Lee- I like OG12 as one of an option of 4 ‘proper’ strikers at the club…

Like Drogba and TW14.. he is the a big game player his goals in the Champions League and the fact that he is the only French international to score against a current European champion says it all…

At monpellier when they needed him to score or perform in the last 2 games to clinch Ligue 1 be more than delivered… something our Monsieur Thiery could never do. even in the MLS he flaffed his lines when his team faced D.Beckhams team… 😉

  45. allezkev says:

    Gnabry on the left wing…

    Gervinho on the right wing…

    Remy thru the middle…

    Mouthwatering…..

Yeah, I’m really up for those ‘special’ Thursday nights…

I’ll be there, at The Grove, rocking along with a crowd of say, 35/40,000…

Kroenke will be suicidal, hopefully… 😉

  46. Lee says:

Is this bollocks? 500,000 Germans applied for Dortmund’s 24,000 tickes for the CLF….. wow!

  47. rico says:

Thanks Kev, I was counting on Gervinho to get us £7 million 😉

Ts – Total Football – I do hope you are not suggesting that is what we play these days 😉

  48. W.A.T.H says:

Lee has been on the pints of the black stuff again….. I take it Gerv is a cnut Lee…? 😉

  49. tsgh says:

    : ) Ak,

A keeper who breaks his legs in training like Rami Shaban did on christmas Eve well deserves a flogging… he was not too bad in the 2 champions league matches he played in but his Abu Dhabi DNA was legendary…

Stepanovs was not too bad… he was just like a deer caught in the head lights on the big stage… he went on to become the most capped Latvian player of all time,. I know it is just Latvia ranking 37 in UEFA at least he is not from Samn Morino… 😀

What happened to the days when the likes of Danilevicius and Boa Morte were discarded like old WAGs after 2 matches…

  50. Lee says:

No alcohol for me today….I had a windswept visit to M&S Marble Arch to get a dinner suit. Sweating like a dinner lady on an extremely hot tube!!

  51. Micko says:

So if Wigan win tonight Newcastle drop into the bottom 3, kinda makes our last two games even hairier.

  52. Lee says:

ESP, in his first year his stats are better 17 goals 10 assists…shows us that stats can be misleading!

  53. Adam says:

Hi Rico. I just bought a box of Alphonso Mangoes. Just about the best I have ever tried.
Don’t tell me that Sgt Major “Clogger” Moyes is Old Toilet bound. Surely not. The next thing will be that Glue Boots Giroud has a better quiff than Davor Sukor and has had a better first season then TH.
    You couldn’t make it up.

  54. eastsidepaul says:

OG does a job alright, but he is no Henry, never will be! Stats are something that people use to justify failure.

  55. Micko says:

Lee, I’d love it if we sent the Geordies down, best fans in the world blah, blah, blah, all crying their eyes out boo hoo hoo.

  56. Lee says:

Yeah Micko, I’ve a special hatred of the Garibaldi’s and that waste of internal organs Pardew!!

  57. eastsidepaul says:

    Ha, you’re right there Lee!

My personal favourite is “judge me in May” Its great because its never suggested which May! Could be May 2 years from now to celebrate to decade of failure!

  58. rico says:

That had to be a nasty journey Lee..

Oh, and yes I would, I can always change the u and n for an **

    😆

  59. rico says:

Ts – just please dont mention total football and Arsenal in the same sentence, they are like chalk is to cheese these days..

Hi Micko, caught between the devil and the deep blue stuff, and Pardew reckons Ben Arfa will be on fire in seven days… Oh joy!

  60. rico says:

Hi Adam, I haven’t forgiven you for not bringing the last box to ‘that lunch’

    😉

  61. eastsidepaul says:

I remember Henry scoring the odd big goal… Didn’t he bang one in against Real Madrid in the Camps League? Thats a big game right? Or the goals he scored against United when we were actually challenging them.. thats a biggie too I think..?

  62. Micko says:

Paul, don’t worry, got a feeling we won’t be seeing a statue of Giroud outside the Emirates any time soon.

  63. tsgh says:

NO… when did I suggest that. All I am saying is that TH14 played in several finals and never scored whilst Drogba played in similar finals but scored 7 goals… you can think what you want but facts are facts and this is not a diss at all to TH14…!

I am just saying that for both France and Barca he was almost always omitted from Finals. In france Trezeguet was preferred to him in crucial matches…. 😉 of course apart from Euro 2006 when Zidane got sent off for the head-butt.. even then he was subbed by Wiltord.

The same way lots of Dutch football fans prefer Huntelaar to Vpursey even though one is a far better footballer!

In 1998.. henry was not used by Jacquet in the finals even though he played partly in the semi’s..

Those suggesting I am mad and ignorant should ask Aime Jacquet… at least he won the world cup and he is not an ‘ignorant’ blogger…

rico… I was just joking you realise that?

In euro 2000 when the whole world expected TH14 to become the top goalscorer he managed only 3 goals… with Milosevic of Yugoslavia winning the golden boot with Kluivert…

  64. Lee says:

Rico, after saying he was going to bring some….hence the name toad! Harsh but fair imho…
ESP, he did ok in the second leg in the San Siro 5-1 mauling I seem to remember…. 😉

  65. Adam says:

Milosevic was not only a goalscorer but also a dab hand at ethnic cleansing wasn’t he?

  66. rico says:

Adam. I always notice a man with a big mango….

I think toad is quite reserved Lee, I think we all felt let down that day 😉

    Still, the chutney was mango….

  67. Adam says:

Lee, I have done. I even offered to drive a box of Alphonsos to the country while they are in season, with the new Bond movie on Blu Ray but it fell on deaf ears.

  68. tsgh says:

Arsene wenger on T. Henry…. ”I thought his performance and goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League had finally killed off that rumour, but surely the goal that knocked Brazil out of the World Cup will nail that coffin shut.” …source Marca.

  69. rico says:

And that’s another thing, Skyfall was meant to be in the same box as the mango’s….. 🙄

  70. Adam says:

Ok Rico. Two things. The offer remains open !! and how do you get an Avatar or is it a Gravatar? 🙂

  71. rico says:

Ah, not that part of the country…..

Mind you, that would be rather nice to see how the rich live 😉

  72. W.A.T.H says:

I hear you need a security clearance just to enter the walls of the up market estates there Rico….

  73. stevepalmer1 says:

    Evening all, Nice one Rico.
If theres any truth in Bayern and Kosi which i doubt £20 mill for Kosi and only £20 million for selling off our deadwood. Think about all that negotiating Gazedes and Wenger would have to do selling off all our crap, and lets face it who wants them, not even us and we buy any cheap crap. I rate Kosi but not so long ago fans were saying he and Vermin should be off loaded, strange how minds change when a figure of £20 million comes up. At the end of the day we may as well sell him as were never going to buy a 20 mill player and knowing a team has bid that much would have Koshelney believing he’s worth that much, then ask for a rise. As for that prat Czezesney, one save and he’s Arsenals mouthpeice, i have never taken to him right from the start and when supporters said that he is only young and he will get better only for Fabianski to take over at No 1 and its only through injury that Czez is back. In my eyes if we wrapped all 3 goalkeepers together we would only end up with a championship goalkeeper. Sell them all and buy 2 decent ones and rotate them..

  74. rico says:

Hi Sp. Kos has always been decent hasn’t he? He’s had ups and downs but for me, TV is the weak one, and then Merts. Seems that most like the BFG.. I though think he’s too slow….

  75. rico says:

Leadership qualities maybe Sp, I’d love a faster, younger version… 😉

But, he’s another who was awful a few months ago and has got better. Neither Kos or Merts seem to be able to play alongside TV do they?

  76. stevepalmer1 says:

Yep, Our 3 center backs will work their problems out, TV is not a captain he needs that noose taken off then he’s form will return BFG could lead the team he has a calming effect and i think the players would respond to him. Wouldn’t mind seeing Tv move up a bit i think he may suprise quite a few.

  77. rico says:

Maybe Sp, I’m not sure. In fact I think he’s still sulking over the sale of the badger. Maybe he wants out…

  78. Joaquim Moreira says:

wigan wins 1-0…. terrible. Our two last matches will be crucial for us, wigan and Newcastle.
Totts and chelsea are in a more confortable position.

  79. Gonerjoe says:

If Wigan win that brings Stoke in to the relegation dog fight and spurs are away to Stoke the weekend. Where’s we have Wigan on Tuesday after 90-120m playing on the Wembley pitch. I am hoping for a Wigan win tonight.

  80. rico says:

I’m done folks, I was up at ‘Lee o’clock’ this morning thanks to Fido and the sun.In fact I have been for the last few days…

    Night all, stay safe….

    Enjoy your mango’s Adam 😉

  81. rico says:

Gjoe, that’s what I hope for too. Pulis with his fired up lot to batter Bale 😉

    Gone now…

  82. allezkev says:

Hmm, gotta say that Adam certainly has impressive Mango’s. Some would say eye-watering…

  83. allezkev says:

I’ve been lucky enough to accompany Adam to a couple of matches this season.
And there are gasps of admiration, from those sitting around us, when Adam gets his Mango’s out…

  84. Micko says:

Don’t tell me they’re bigger than your plums kev.

Looks like Wigan are doomed, lead twice but went down in the end.

  85. Gonerjoe says:

Getting over excited with all the deals and tv monies we will have around 100 million a year with no extra costs for new players and wages.

  86. Wavy says:

Nike tainted by Tiger Woods sexual exploits his reputation and theirs tainted irrevocably. Better off with the Germans!

Old rednose to quit? A major announcement before the kick off against Swansea on Sunday.

I just knew this season would end in tears for manure. Please let me and the press be right! I’m sick of the man and his overlong tenure.

  87. vida says:

Like any potential arsenal deals. I would wait till it’s official confirmed. Remember the Adidas deal last year

  88. allezkev says:

The Puma deal (if true?) is certainly a promising sign…
    Nobody saw that one coming…
Once the contract is signed and Puma are locked in, then there really is no excuse for penny-pinching this summer.

  89. stevepalmer1 says:

Morning all, New kit sponsors worth £30 mill a year, handy, probably because we cannot guarantee Champions league any more. Don’t expect big signings as we will continue to watch the pennies, £20 million signings at Arsenal uncharted waters ha ha.

  90. stevepalmer1 says:

Good time for Usmanov to throw in a bid, He would look like Arsenals saviour.and may even make a few bob.

  91. rico says:

    Cheeky Sp 😉

Bloomin chickens get me up in the morning and this morning, they were as noisy as cockerels. That will have upset the neighbours…

  92. tsgh says:

So the sports kit maker who sponsor the likes of Eto, Henry,Marco Reus and Gerv are showing how clueless they are by giving us a sponsorship deal of nearly £177M…. Maybe the likes OG12 who is not Arsenal quality is a factor…

I thought they only sponsored African and Sth American teams. 😉

Could the doomers also explain how a team that is going backwards and nose-diving like a kamikaze in a Mitsubishi Ki-15 aircraft get given approximately £300M within a year?

    Btw good morning….

  93. W.A.T.H says:

The funny thing about huge sponsorship’s Ts is actually going out and spending the bloody money…! Now to see if that actually happens otherwise it’s just yet more money in the bank.

  94. W.A.T.H says:

    Yes official Rico he’s gone…..!

Now do all their dodgy decisions go with him is the question..?

  95. rico says:

He wants to go to Germany, Bayern I think I read…

But I’d love him at Arsenal too….

  96. W.A.T.H says:

Having him there in the background Rico i think is a bad move… the new manager will have his shadow in the background… surely not a good idea..?. Fuck em… Now lets hope the wheels all fall off..!

  97. Adam says:

The idea of Rooney learning German is only slightly less amusing than him learning English.

  98. Lee says:

I think the statue of Fergie outside old toilet needs altering…..his hooter needs painting red!

  99. stevepalmer1 says:

Rednose still there to write the Referee’s cheques, wouldn’t surprise me if Maureen is installed.

  100. W.A.T.H says:

Do they want Moyes or has he retired early to make sure they get Jose and stop him going to the Chavs…?

  101. Lee says:

Really looking forward to the media blowing smoke up the drunken jock’s arse for the next few weekzzzz!

  102. W.A.T.H says:

    Am with you Lee……………. Boringgggggggggggggggggg
If i send him a few bottles of GG maybe he will be so pissed he’ll miss the last couple of games..!

  103. rico says:

Moyes I think – Manure like stability, they want a guy who will be ready to stay for a few years if all goes well…

  104. stevepalmer1 says:

Fergies having hip replacements, take note Wath, carrying all that booze fcuks up the joints. 🙂
