Fellaini wants Arsenal move. Santi Cazorla is having a laugh……

Morning all,

These posts are getting harder to write each day.

Boy, just how much could we all do with a something ‘real’ to read, I sure could do with something real to write.

All the newspapers make up, re-write, make up again, one story after another, day after day and it’s boring. Jovetic was a certain signing but now he’s off to Juventus it seems. Higuain, well that deal was all but signed just a few days ago after Arsene Wenger supposedly flew out to Paris to speak with the player and his agent, yet he too now seems to be following Jovetic to Juventus. Then there has been the Cesc saga, one minute he looks likely to return to his old club and then Manure seem to be favourites, all in between him staying in Spain of course. But what about his partner and child, they spend so much time in London, Cesc is bound to want to return isn’t he???

Then there is Fellaini. One day we have made an offer which met his get out clause, then we haven’t, today I read that the player wants to join us but Wenger is reluctant to meet the price.

Bored yet?

Yep, so am I, so maybe instead of fans dropping in a writing ‘what a crock of s**t this post is’ as someone did, well tried to the other day, spare a thought those who have write something each day to keep things ticking over during the quiet times. Not just here, but all over the Arsenal blog world.

If you are reading this and that kind of fan is you, then why not write something that you feel is better and send it to me to be posted, or any other site which encourages guest posts.

So, a bit of real news and in a way it’s old news as the official site have already run this article about Santi Cazorla who is loving life at Arsenal:.

The way football is played here is different, it is a bit faster and less tactical.

That is what I really like about England, football is more fun and more attack minded.

Now I’m quite surprised that the Press haven’t picked up that. Or even that buffoon Stewart Robson.

He could turn that into:

‘Carzola confirms Wenger doesn’t use tactics’ – or ‘Wenger tells players to forget defensive duties’ or even, ‘Wenger puts fun over result’…

I’m sure you get my drift…

Anyway, it’s clear our Spaniard is loving life at Arsenal which is great news, next season he should be even better.

Every year I try to improve, that is my goal – to reach new heights and hopefully I will be able to do even better next season.

I want to help the team, to feel good within the team and help the team win trophies. We need to learn from the last 10 games in the league.

Not only do we need for the last ten games, we need to learn from all those before and make sure we don’t repeat the half-hearted, lazy and inept performances we witnessed during many of them….

Another player who has being talking about life as Arsenal is Olivier Giroud:

I also had to adapt to Arsenal. I had to discover my team-mates, understand how they like to play. It was a new type of football where I had to do everything better compared to before. Physically, I was ready but it is a big change compared to France, which is more tactical.

Funny that he mentions tactics too….

Surely they can’t both be wrong, can they?

Have a good day all….

dont you wish for once we would do our business early so we fans can actually enjoy the break! citeh have already signed two players ffs

i just want to chill by the pool and get drinks with little umbrellas in them…
i wonder is there a club troll doing the rounds around arsenal blogs,,

  3. devilgunner says:

I still believe that Torres we can get for 15million. reasonable price, a good player with a point to prove and one who will surely add quality to our side.

Rico is pumping iron for him. Reason enough for him to join AFC.

If i was in Wengers position and had £70 million burning a hole in my pocket i would go all out and buy 3 players Ceasar GK, Luiz DM and lewendowski Goal Machine. these players would all bring more money when sold than what we’ll pay for them. and we’ll challenge for everything.

If you had 70million in your pocket you would shit yourself mate and start scratching your head to see how you could spend it. 😛

  5. Tsusima says:

So far Arsene signed us 2 kids (Sanogo and Crowley), he opened saying we will have 3 significant players this summer. Hope it’s not 2 out of 3 already.

  6. Damilarey says:

Real & true Arsenal transfer news are hard to find these days, even if a rumour is true, No one can take it seriously unless the deal is signed & the player is finally & officially unveiled. We all know that Arsene is too reluctant to sign any player above £15m despite the enough cash available. “LET’S STOP DREAMING ABOUT BIG NAME PLAYERS”

  7. devilgunner says:

ahhhh Bill!!! nice words mate. do you have anything worthwhile to write?

Write you ideas down mate. we all would like to be illuminated by your worthy scribblings.

  8. tsgh says:

    Morning all,

Kill Bill… ha ha ha… anyways

Nice one Rico… and I truly mean that….

Now back to slating AW and IG and anyone else who thinks Gerv is rubbish 😀 😀

  9. malaga gooner says:

not luiz devil,we have not had a proper dm since gilberto.

i think the way we play with our attacking fb’s we need an out an out dm thats going to just sit there.

i quite like mcarthy from wigan,,he just needs tweaking i can see the lad going a long way.

  10. stevepalmer1 says:

Devil if my numbers come up Friday i’ll show you how i can spend and shitmyself at the same time. 🙂

  11. Bradster says:

Yeah I agree, thank you Rico for giving me something sensible to read everyday.

I wonder where Wilshere and Ramsey will fit into the team if we are in for a Fellani, Capoue, wanyama type player or should Arteta be worried of their additions?

I personally don’t see Wilshere as a number 10 or he really needs more training for that position. So box to box is what he’ll be competing for.

  12. malaga gooner says:

gerv is not rubbish he is shite………….

i think he would make more money doing adverts for TEFAL

  13. tsgh says:

SP1 and Dev… I rate Luiz but imho if we are going to buy him purely as a DM then I would suggest using TV and buying Williams…

Doing that we please AW with his obsession with a left footer as a DM… Williams will be happy to deputise and TV can cover at CB if injuries at CB pile up…

Trivial info… do you know AW has not won a trophy without a left footer as a DM in all his years managing?

Morning all ,I just thought you may be interested in something which happened to my son yesterday. He has had a season ticket since the early 80s,and had decided not to renew ,mainly because of financial restraints. He received a telephone call from a woman from Arsenal box office around 6 pm yeserday basically asking him why hadnt renewed his membership .When he explained his position he was offered Finance packages etc, which my son refused because he didnt want to tie himself to more finance deals. To be fair the woman was understanding and helpful and said it is of great concern to the club when fans of long standing fail to renew ,and that he could defer his season ticket for 1 year if he wrote to the club requesting this. My son not wanting to be cynical said that he was impressed by the club new attitude ,but how are the ticket sales going.Er….. a bit slowly was the reply, read into that what you will, but it would be nice if the cynical views were proved wrong.

  15. tsgh says:

Now Mg you were a fan but you have now fallen on the black list I have Scott, Dev and Micko on… 😀

  16. tsgh says:

Nice one Jay…a bloody good decision by your son…

Jay, I didn’t think you were as old as WATH and AK… 😀

  17. Wavy says:

Sadly Bill you did not follow your own dictum!
If you don’t like the content DON’T visit the site!
If you do then contribute something constructive to the debate not more negative contributions, it is pointless!

  18. devilgunner says:

Now why do you keep associating my name with Luiz my friends?? I was only quoting Sir SP for heaven’s sake.

Gervinho is shit you say??? Did you manage to post him as well MG???

  19. tsgh says:

Mg our long standing relationship is truly done… 😀

SYG will not be happy with you saying Eboue and Gerv are useless…

WATH travels all the way from his pub to Türk Telekom Arena to watch Eboue fall over… now that is loyalty…

  20. devilgunner says:

Jay is older than WATH and KEV??? Seriously???

Honourable Presidency of Geriatrics then!!!! 😉 We have a Triumvirate then. Or the Geriatric Trinity. 😆

But a very good decision by your son mate.

  21. malaga gooner says:

BILL,,you remind me of that tank driver in the film KELLY HEROES.

    ALWAYS WITH THOSE NEGATIVE WAVES!

  22. tsgh says:

Jay said he had a son born in the 60s… 😀

WATH has an imaginary son born in the 40’s… he even drinks with him sometimes he says…

  23. malaga gooner says:

TS,,,and i was going to ask you what you were doing friday nite,i suppose your washing your hair.lol

  24. Jay says:

Tsgh Im not really that old mate ,its just seems that way when i think of the ups and downs of being a gooner. i just wondered if anyone else that hasnt renewd has had a similar call from Arsenal

  25. Adam says:

Jay. I am not surprised at this. Being a loyal, but disillusioned customer I renewed our 3 STs but had serious misgivings. In the past I have pointed out that, as the club meander along, scraping by and showing little real ambition, so has their core support eroded. I am talking here about families, many of them historically local to the club, who have stopped going. For sure, their tickets will be taken up but the ST turnover rate will increase. The atmosphere in the stadium will get worse and the identity of Arsenal will dilute. It is happening now, as we speak. Someone within the club has noticed this I imagine.
I know a long, long term supporter from an old Islington family whose support extends back before the 2nd WW. Along with him there were over 20 mates and family that used to sit together. A lot of them would meet before the game and have a drink afterwards. It was all part of their ritual. Their lives actually. From this season, there are 2 left. Their tickets have gone to people who arrive late, leave early and spend most of the game texting.
The battles at Arsenal are for more than trophies.

  26. tsgh says:

Hey watch it Mg… my imaginary ginger hair is a sensitive topic to bring up… especially on the web… you will get Micko out soon…

    This is very sad.

As a club of such history people should be falling over themselves or doing revolts outside of the EMirates not lending their tickets or selling them.

  28. Jay says:

i guess I will have to find a new site now the piss taking has begun by you ageist bloggers.By the way is WATH really older than me ? He must have paid in Groats in the turnsile in his youth

  29. Adam says:

Devil. I agree. One of Wenger, Kroenke and Gazidis’ problems is that they have become symbolic of under-achievement. They are steeped in it and you can see the same old cycle being replayed right now. If you want Fellaini then buy him. Wenger is never shy at asking big money for our players. Buy him or piss off and let someone else have a go. Someone who really wants to have a go. This is why I want a new impetus and owner at the club.

  30. Alex c. says:

I’m tired of arsenal being on d news everyday if they aint doing any transfers. If fellaini is 2 expensive, Wenger luking 4 cheap players he can buy? Y not go to africa and get….. Hold on, i tot wenger said he’d be watching d African nations cup closely. I heard ENYEAMA, d best GK in africa according to his club Lille is vallued @ £1 million. I’m sure Julio cesar(free agent) will cost Arsenal more in terms of weekly wages.

Someone said something yesterday about not using the blog for rumours. Hello, this is a blog.

Rico is in a difficult position because there is nothing tangible for her to write about other than rumours. The media has nothing to write about so they ‘guess’ and create interest through their imagination. This is a mind numbingly boring period. So perhaps we can help Rico and create some alternatives?

How about instead of the rumour mongering and the same old stuff being circulated we discuss something like this:

What would you deem a successful 2013/2014 season?

Only winning one of the big two trophies, PL or CL? Finishing second and reaching semi final of the CL? Winning the FA Cup and finishing third, winning the Carling Cup etc

i suspect we all have different views.

  34. stevepalmer1 says:

Makes me laugh supporters like Bill short for Nickleson no doubt. Tune’s in to read a report but would rather read nothing, Bill your an arsewipe in my book. HH is a blog run by a delusioned Proper supporter all she needs is signs from the club that we are moving forward and that is all we want. 5th richest club in the world and we run our club on secrets. buy the fucking players and get us back in the game an d Bill you could read a blinding post every day. All our guest writers have written blinding posts they are all intelegent Arsenal Fans who only wants to see Arsenal at the top where we believe we should be. I commend you all. Bill Piss off.

  35. SD_UK says:

    Good rant Rico!

Felt the same this morning, opened the papers , it was news I have read somewhere in a blog or a site 3 days ago despite the paper being free but I still felt cheated 🙂

    Who is Bill????

No Torress please – He is done.

Fabregas rumor is rubbish, no contact and no business on that end, he is busy playing 2 friendlies in 1 week and preparing for the confederation cup in 3 days or so then off to holiday.Manure united full of S**t

The players Man Shit bought are not going to improve them (Navas is Reyes in disguise) Plus they need to shift like 15players (the club makes me laugh – Santa Cruz is still in their books)

All Arsenal officials are on holiday especially the medical staff – so forget transfers in the next 2weeks.

By the way Fellaini seems to only play with his chest, Wicked – Expensive but we should buy him (but that will put Wishire on the bench and push Ramsey to the youth team) thank God I am not Wenger.

I think I have a good idea how to spend £70 Mil in case Wenger is having troubles. Call me Wenger!

Before I go , glad Real Madrid are interested in Cavanni because I dont want the Chavs to buy him, I fancy Chelsea finishing 6th next season 😀

  36. Jay says:

Adam 10.11 There are 2 guys that sit in front of me at theEmirates that turn up late for every game ,piss off at half time ,come back ten minutes into the second half and go home early regardless of the score .I am really happy when late goals are scored ,sad I know, but feel this will stop these morons leaving the ground long before the end. They also spend the game talking about anything other the game ,which is distracting to say the least.Good fans are losing their seats while these bandwagon merchants are snapping up tickets

Jay… I know you give as much as you take… 🙂

  39. Adam says:

TS. I think it was Iain Duncan Smith, who is unfortunately an MP local to me.
Jay, they are everywhere. We have a pair just in front of us too. Sometimes they fall asleep as they are so drunk and the bloke two rows behind me talks non-stop through the game, relaying Twitter messages to anyone who cares to pay him any attention.
The only thing those around me agree on is that the club is going backwards

  40. bob john says:

I have had the same call from Arsenal asking me why I haven’t renewed. Haven’ t called them back yet but my comment will include reference to making Jogger Walcott our best paid player. noticeable how the big signing romours have dried up since renew date bas passed!

  41. tsgh says:

Blame Jean-Marc Bosman for this predicament…

They say the bigest lie told by the devil is to say he does not exist…

The biggest lie the AFC board have told the masses is that AW dictates how much we should pay for a player…

I can not imagine Dick Law calling AW to say I spoke to Chairman A but he wants £20M instead of £15M for player X, and AW saying I know we can afford to pay even £22M but lets not bother with the said player…

  42. rico says:

Bill, maybe you should practice what you preach

Dylan – in case you missed it, that’s been done time and time again on here – but feel free to email me your views, I am sure they would make a fantastic read…

    Morning all….

  43. darren says:

Well, i can see your looking to the positives, but how ever i beg to differ. I think Arsene is undoubtably a good manager and very few could replace him, but i do feel as though he is lacking nerve! I definitely agree that Fellaini is exactly what we need as our first line of defence. But why are we supposedly still penny pinching!! i’m sick of this [it sounds just about right to be honest!!] This team always has a goal in them. The problem is that we need to stop the leaks too. Fellaini is the KEY i believe. the problem is: does he have the nerve to buy big, as managers are judged upon their signings. Not to mention the level of expectancy will go up ten fold. regards Mr A

  44. malaga gooner says:

    ts,i was serious about GG.

the only thing he guilty of is getting caught.

they were all at it and he was made the example.

then it stopped or did it

  45. Adam says:

Hi Rico. I bet you are surprised that the club, or is it Wenger, is reluctant to meet Fellaini’s price.

  46. tsgh says:

😀 maybe Adam… but then if people are not keen on renewing STs as you and Jay and Bob are saying above… and IG is aware of this…. why are they not doing something about it?

Is AW so powerful or dictatorial to his employers? Or has he seen Stan or most of the board members doing something he can blackmail them with if he is reprimanded or sacked?

I am probably missing something simple here… I am open to be educated of course…

  47. Jay says:

Mg So it was Ok for G.G to defaud the club in your opinion ,no wonder fans are pissed off with some peoples attitude.

  48. aj says:

Stewart Robson is an Arsenal Leg-end – according to a number of media outlets.

    More like Bell-end!

He was a crap player who didn’t achieve anything with Arsenal, as I recall, and then took a step down to play at West Ham.

I can’t understand why our overseas players think that we are not tactical in England? We have that tactical genius Stewart Pearce educating the English youngsters!! LOL!

  49. tsgh says:

I work on the principle of the devil you know….

And action speaks louder than words…. so I would rather believe AW than IG as hithe latters job as a CEO with an MBA (who has probably got tonnes of Carnegie seminars under his belt) is to drum up income for the club whatever way it is possible…

As a chartered engineer I meet and work with tie wearing Project and Programme directors who say one thing to clients or customers and tell engineers and technicians to bend over backwards to ensure the books look good so they can be rewarded.

Such individuals do not care how the job is done or how people risk their lives testing and trialling equipment (sometimes classified) so far as the deadline or milestone is met!

  50. aj says:

Interesting comment today from Ron Noades regarding Zaha. He said that he had contacted David Dein to try to persuade Arsenal to take him but Arsenal weren’t interested. The comment about contacting David Dein was interesting, however.

  51. Jay says:

A I said TSGH,the person that called my son did say that the club were concerned at long standing members not taking up tickets this year. Perhaps the penny has dropped ,we live in hope

  52. rico says:

Aj, you are not alone with your thoughts on Robson 😉

Ts, I trust none of them, certainly not AW who each transfer window tells us he is going to sign a player or two but so often doesn’t…

  53. Adam says:

TS. Anything I might add would be speculation. It might be informed, but it would be guesswork. As far as I can see, nobody here is in the know, even if some people get a little twinge in their underpants by pretending they are. As I said yesterday, I do understand the psychological mechanisms involved with that part of the blog world.
All I could offer would be an educated guess as to what is going on but it would be no more credible than anybody else’s.

  54. rico says:

One that is hanging off his head Lee..

Adam, surely you believe all that is written on the rumour site don’t you? I do.

  55. tsgh says:

His idea of a big player is a 23 y.o who has potential and is french or 27 y.o no one above us wants because the said player dails on the big stage. Fans want the hottest commodity but AW either due to lack of bottle or financial constraints does buy the obvious…

So when IG says the board has never denied AW funds… I interpret that to mean AW knows what he has and does thebest with it without making noise about it. Maybe if he was like Harry Houdini, Laudrup or O’Neil and washed his dirty laundry in public we may know more…

  56. bob john says:

Hi Adam. Have has a ST since they introduced standing STs in about 1980. Has been building up for a few years now but myself and brother have decided not to renew. Interesting point about the option to take a gap year though.

  63. Bradster says:

It’s sad that wenger regrets not signing so many players and most of them we had the opportunity to sign but dallied on it.

Wonder if Wenger will raid the cash strapped Spanish teams again this season. The Isco rumours went quiet, is that a good sign or has Malaga’s ower changed his heart?

  64. tsgh says:

    Hi Bradster… with J Navas going to $hitty I think we have a chance…

Pelligrini said that one of his players at Malaga had tentatively agreed to join AFC last year like Nacho did… it just depends on if we can match Mauren, RM or Peps bids for him…

With Gotze moving to FC Munchen and Neymar going to Barca… that leaves only PSG, RM,Monaco, Man U and us who could potentially accord him in this economy. Just my view.

My test at the moment when discussing players is will Old Rednose be interested? If not then that player is not a big stage player…

We have a decent squad what we need is 3 or 4 players in addition to the likes of Kosser, MA08, OG12 and Ramsey… yes Ramsey who perform on the big stage….

The likes of Milner, Theo and Vpursey will win you a trophy whilst the likes of Nastry and Navas will win you matches… imho

  68. Henny says:

Hi All, I have been coming on here for a year and a half reading the blog without leaving a comment. I like the articles posted on here it is thought provoking and it gets me into some serious duscussion mostly with myself. That being said I have been hearing everyone craving Fellaini, I do think he is a very good player, but since he gets used further up the pitch wouldn’t he want continue that instead of playing as a DM?

  69. tsgh says:

I know a manure fan who has decided to not renew either… things are had and footballer lovers do not think clubs and footballers including those who win yearly show no appreciation to hard-up fans.

even my next door neighbour a chav has said he is only renewing one of his 3 STs….

clubs have to realise this… but as Adam rightly implied earlier how would these public school, silver spoon executives know…. when the rich are getting richer/wealthier?

  70. Wavy says:

Playing devil’s advocate for a moment……….what if Wenger thinks he has nearly enough players already? Our defence post spuds result was very good, hardly conceded a goal good displays all round, his ‘tactical planning’ seemed exemplary, good individual performances, mostly all round. Why, in his own mind would he want to spend shed loads of money on new players when he has the core in house already. He knows he needs greater depth so he may well consider dipping into the ‘pond’ to buy some good supporting players forthe good of the squad. BUT marquee players, ie over priced prima donnas are not the way forward…for him! No he’ll make do with what he has got, promote a few of the junior players, Gnarbry, Eisfield etc and then he will “have enough”.
We can all dream of Lewendowski, Fellaini et al but I just can’t see it happening. He’s too mean and too afraid of failure. In many ways he is unable to deal with egos bigger than his own, so he chooses to dodge the bullet and not buy big, he will only buy humble and grateful! Look at Sylvestre or Sqillacci etc

In any event I’m not holding my breath for anything extraordinary happening this summer, just the same old……!

  71. devilgunner says:

Seems as if the hidey hole of a Highbury houser has been discovered…………

……………A LONG-LOST medieval dungeon has been discovered beneath a busy Faversham street.

Tim Allen, of Kent Archaeological Projects, thinks the site it is one of the first of its type to be found in a town centre.
The dungeon, on the former site of the town’s first Guildhall, has been identified as a round “oubliette” dungeon meaning “forgotten”.

  74. Kosta says:

Look the board need to realize if we aren’t going to purchase a few top top players we simply won’t win the league, fa cup or carling cup let alone the champions league. It’s just disappointing to witness this club going in a downward spiral. If we are to break our current trend we must purchase at least one marquee signing this summer. What the board needs is to realize is kroenke is leading us nowhere and kick him out. Then we are to place usmanov in charge and maybe just maybe we will finally see a trophy in our emirates trophy cabinet.

  75. malaga gooner says:

kosta you cant just kick stan out,he has to want to sell his shares.

its not as if he lives in england, hes not getting abuse sitting on trigger in the colarado country side

  76. Wavy says:

I thought Buffon was a heavily back combed hairstyle! Eg The late great Amy Winehouse and or Dusty Springfield in her early days had big hair……like Fellaini!!

Not Robson then cos he is a no hair slap head! As well as being a buffoon!

  77. rico says:

Neither am I holding my breath wavy, but there should be a few gaps to fill in the squad…

Thanks Ren, you are being polite about Robson 😉

  78. devilgunner says:

Kev we have another geriatric here with us. He is the President of Geriatrics.

    u ok habib?

  79. agirlagunner says:

Boo!! Have we bought anyone yet??

rico, one post down, a zillion more to go in this trf window. 😛 Howdy?

    Hello, all!! 🙂 🙂

  80. Kevin KJ says:

    Afternoon all,

Kosta and the others on the same path:
Look the sooner we get some facts and stop accepting rumour and speculation as truth, the faster we can all move on.

The fact is, there is no news. people are on holiday, managers are yet to get their feet under desks or be officially appointed and the press are having to be creative

This wild speculation about impeding doom and Wenger not meeting the transfer fees being asked is just being invented. You do not know this.Where are the sources please?

The same with the Higuain is going to Juventus claims. Perez has said that nothing will happen until the RM manager is in place, so nobody knows, it is just a guess.

Also, how do we know Arsenal are refusing to meet the price of Fellaini – source please and can it be trusted. And does every Arsenal fan want Fellaini?

I am sure I speak for most on here when I say that I can’t wait for this horrible pre-season to be finished. Then we will have facts to base opinions on and debate sensibly. Until then, it is impossible to say who is signing and what we will be spending.

  81. allezkev says:

Hello Coach, I am good thanks….

Age, is all a state of mind amigo…

Jay, it was him wasn’t it? Sounds young at heart to me.

Wath really isn’t that old ya know, he is quite lively for his age, he’s just a bit grumpy… 😉

But we can all get a bit grumpy.

    I mean, look at Bill?!
An hour in his company would have you slitting your wrist…

  82. devilgunner says:

    Hiya Agag. All is well.

Kev……….is WATH grumpy??? But isnt that a sign of dementia and old age?

Or is he one of the dwarves of LOTR and THE HOBBIT???

  83. devilgunner says:

    Habib is AllezKev MG

    Coach is me.

    Grumpy ……….seems to be WATH.

Mud Hut Fisher is Scott from Oz.

    Fellow Conspirator is Tsgh (Ginge)

    Literary Consultant ….. Adam

    Shoe expert is Agag.

  84. devilgunner says:

We are the Knights of the Highbury House Round Table MG

We are still waiting for for the Heir to the Siege Perilous….the greatest Knight of all HH.

  85. Jay says:

You Are only as old as the woman you feel lads ,ageism is not acceptable on this site ,Rico told me only Spurs fans are spammed.

  86. devilgunner says:

That is the spirit JAy. You are old as you feel.

I only pull your legs on age. Same as I do to my old Pa and Ma. And both are over 70 😉

  87. Jay says:

No Dg I said I am as old the woman I feel ,the problem at my age is feeling is about the limit I can manage

  88. Jay says:

Its easy Potter ,Stick a bundle of 50£ notes Exposed in your top pocket,if you dont get mugged you may get a 20yr old.

  89. devilgunner says:

Confusticate and bebother the language. I did not understand it Jay. Now I do as you have been more lucid.

  90. Wavy says:

Potter could you remember what to do with one, assuming a girly girl rocked up?
I often think that about Wenger, cos he too is rather long in the tooth. Defo past his sex by date!!
We may have a few players who could do with some chemical exciter, especially early in the season when they seem to require a great deal of hand cranking!

  91. Jay says:

Sorry Dg if my wording wasnt quite right ,I have had problems since the days when I was rolling around in Tottenham High Road with Spuds fans in the 70s.I think a flying Dr martins found its target.

  92. Jay says:

Wavy wasnt Wenger having an illicit affair with some Frech bint a couple of years ago? he cant be that much passed it

  93. allezkev says:

There’s been some interesting comments on here today, re; Season Tickets…

I have also given up my Season Ticket this season…

My plan is to go to away games where the atmosphere is more like football used to be…

Home games are still a possibility, as I have a couple of friends who have still kept their tickets, but I kinda of resent giving the club anymore of my money, as all they seem to do is leave it in the bank.

Tbh, if it’s gonna be in anyone’s bank, i’d rathet my money was in my account rathet than Kroenke’s..

  94. devilgunner says:

This is what the doctor will order for some of our players and manager…………..

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2340151/Man-sues-doctor-surgery-leaves-month-erection.html

A truck driver is suing a doctor after he was left with an erection that lasted for eight months and a scrotum the size of a volleyball following penile implant surgery.

Daniel Metzgar, 44, had the surgical procedure in 2009. This week, a medical malpractice lawsuit a heard claims that the surgery had been botched.

The Newark truck driver’s attorney, Michael C. Heyden, told a court that everyday tasks – such as riding in his motorbike or collecting his newspaper – became a problem for Mr Metzgar as he was ‘stuck in this position’.

  95. Wavy says:

    Mg, spot on! Re Wenger.
And the team; they have not had any balls since Viagra 04 left for Italy. And, I don’t thinkWenger wanted ‘his sort at or around the club’ thereafter. Hence PV 04 did not return at the end of his playing days, as he still had ‘the balls’! Imo.

  96. malaga gooner says:

kev it is not kroenkes money,,he cant just empty the bank account and buy another ranch.

    its the clubs money

  97. Jay says:

Problem is Allezkev, you need plenty of credits to get tickets for away games,I used to go to most away games and racked the credits up ,but when you stop for a time the credits drop and there is always a big demand for even the lower rated games

  98. allezkev says:

I have actually met quite a few fans among the away contingent, who refuse to go to home games because of the policies of the club…

They are still dyed in the wool Gooners, but they hate the way that our club has become a franchise and the way that the management have put profitability above and beyond everything.

    With trophies just an afterthought….

I think that I am slowly being drawn away from the frustration and apathy of The Grove, and towards the fun and enjoyment of going up to the homes of those Northern monkeys and fecking up their weekends… 😛

  99. devilgunner says:

ole Twitchy has finally said something worth reading……….

Pearce’s side crashed out of the European Under-21 Championship after losing all three of their group games against Italy, Norway and the host nation.
Redknapp, who had been widely tipped to be named England manager before Roy Hodgson was awarded the job, thinks English football needs to change and there should be an overhaul in tactics.
“We do not know how to play football,” the Queens Park Rangers manager said. “It [change] has to come from the very top of the game. That means manager Roy Hodgson getting involved with coaches at every level working in the same direction.
“In international football you cannot just hit and hope as you give the ball away. It’s about possession, retaining the ball, controlling the game. We need coaches who believe in that ideal.
“The last time we had an England team which looked to be heading in the right direction was under Glenn Hoddle.

“That’s why I think he would be a great choice to become the new Under-21 manager or to get involved in coaching of kids.”
Pearce’s contract expires at the end of the month and it is expected it will not be renewed following his side’s dismal performances in Israel.
The former England defender was appointed Under-21 coach in February 2007 and he led them to the European Under-21 Championship final four years ago, where they eventually lost 4-0 to Germany.
Along with Hoddle, Redknapp also tipped former England manager Steve McClaren to make his return to the national side.
He said: “Steve McClaren would be a good choice. Since working at FC Twente in Holland I bet he was learned a lot about how to play football the right way.
“There’s a footballer inside every player desperate to get out – if only we’d let him.”

  100. malaga gooner says:

i went to dortmund away and it was 1 of the best experiences i have ever had at an away game..

everything from the beer tents and the bus’s taking supporters back to the car parks was just done the way a club should treat there fans..no fee for the bus.

the beer was not slop and it was not expensive.

    very impressed

    it opened my eyes

  101. allezkev says:

Jay, I am lucky, as I have a very good friend who can get tickets to most away domestic games.
About 10 a season, would do me mate, mostly the Midlands and Southern games….
I could have gone to Newcastle, but it’s a marathon going up there, and I went to a good friends house and watched the game in comfort (and trepidation) whilst his fearsome wife kept the tea flowing…
She is fine, but powerful woman, but I knew that a bunch of flowers would guarentee me tea and biscuits all afternoon…
    And so it proved…. 😉

  102. Jay says:

Dg I read that article this morning he also gave credit to Arsenal s style of play, that was a shock, after his attitude to Wenger

  103. allezkev says:

No Jay, but I was in tne ‘Singing Section’ that is, the cheap seats….

Singing Section, now how condescending is that?!!!

What a bunch of knobheads our club management have become.

All, or most, of their ‘good ideas’ come via Red Action or some other fans group.
The people inside the club are fecking useless…

  104. Jay says:

Allezkev,I needed something stronger than tea to get me through that one, After 8 cans of Stella I thought we had won the C.L

  105. malaga gooner says:

    hey jey,,
i could be wrong, but is there not some 1 in europe that is going to try through the european parliament to see if its possible.

did the “great” black scarf lads bring this up as an issue.

  106. tsgh says:

HI Agag… have you bought all the shoes in SAKS yet? lol

Hi Mr Ak, someone on here said you were around during the great war… hope you are well? 🙂

Dev, Ole Twitchy strider makes a good point… its a shame he had to read your comments a week ago before and made it his… 😉 What do you think about the last England no.10 taking over the u-21 role…

Glenda’s suits and hairstyle is loving very 1980 on TV… he even has the shoulder pad to match… 😛

  107. devilgunner says:

The word “Possession” was the one I used most these last 22 years. I was always hankering on with the word. All the exercises I devised were always with two goals in mind….possession and finishing. 4v4, 5v5, 4 v6, 5v7, 4v4v4 it was always a case of keeping possession.

Do the English players come up with possession and penetration?? Now that’s a larf.

  108. Wavy says:

Dg, 2.44 re lorry driver’s accident, from Newark.

The clue is in the hometown, we all know what the anagram foe NEWARK is don’t we?

His injuries were clearly self inflicted!

  109. allezkev says:

Ha ha ha Jay…. Now that’s me at the away games…
We have have a few beers and stand for the entire game…

Best away games last season, for me, were Liverpool, West Ham and West Brom…

I enjoyed Stoke as well, mainly for the abuse we gave Tony Pulis…

Malaga, if there is money in standing, then those money-grabbing arse-holes will bring it back….

Bringing back standing will improve the atmosphere 200% @ The Grove imho…

  110. tsgh says:

So MG says he is Spartacus and Mr Goonie is Cupid or should I say Blonde Adonis…

Dev, I take offence to being called a conspiracy theorist… I don’t pay extra to seat on the front roll at wembley to see David Icke the god of E.T and Lizardry… 🙂 I just watch from afar… lol

  111. tsgh says:

Be careful discussing possession on here.. Adam and Rico may have a fit… you have no idea what I go through with Scott on match days reading Rico’s comments when MA08 passes the ball back in the name of ball possession 😉 😀

  112. tsgh says:

Dont people stand at the Erms anyways… at least where I normally stand 5 or so matches each season…

  113. allezkev says:

Ginge, if you want to know something about 1914-19 you ask away, it’s a subject, I am quite keen on….

My Dad had an Uncle killed at Loos, another was buried alive in a trench and had nightmares for the rest of his life.

My Grandad was in the RAF in 1918, after it became a seperate service from the Army.
My other Grandad was stationed in India, thankfully…

  114. potter says:

Gazidis said that they were satisfied with the stadium as it is but would look at Safe standing if the government allowed it.So Iwould not wait on it happening.

Regarding possesion , I think the back pass rule needs looking at . 90% of hoofs upfield give away the ball, defenders should be discouraged from passing back and learn how to play out from the back. Having said that it means that midfielders and full backs need to make themselves available to take the ball.

  115. tsgh says:

The Laotian Civil War was bloody… I do not know much about the Laos war… a secret war….

At RMAS you are programmed to learn about these wars in the most one sided fairytale war…

Knowing what I know now… war and tribalism should not be condoned at all especially for money and oil…

  116. Jay says:

Potter dont Scare me ,the thought of the B.F.G,trying to play out from the back puts the fear of Christ up me

  117. tsgh says:

Ak, I bet your uncles and dad were not given anything for all the post war trauma…. that has shaped the generations following our great grandparents involvement in the war…

My grand dad fought in Burma as part of the common wealth forces… He was in the Ghana Regiment or Gold Coast Constabulary and got shipped to Burma as part of the 2nd (West Africa) Infantry Brigade..

  118. tsgh says:

    Royal Military Academy…

    Don’t worry I am a lover now… I do no wars… either street fighting or regimental 😉

  119. tsgh says:

Have you done the battle field tour Ak… across france, Belgium and Holland. If you haven’t please do its an eye opener… when my boy is old enough… he is going on it just to see and experience the life we are privileged to have.

Its funny how the so called enemies use to take breaks in between fighting… play football and then kill themselves a day later… whilst these suits enjoy!

  120. Kevin KJ says:

    Potter

Maybe but its the time wasting problem.

I wish they would sort out offside for once and for all. If you are nearer to the goal line than a defender you are off, simple. This non-active and active malarky is a nightmare.

  121. allezkev says:

Ginge, Loos was in 1915, it was a precursor to the other major battles the BEF fought later in the war…

The British Army suffered serious casualties. Some of the heaviest in Military history up to that point…

If my memory serves me correctly, one of our regiments attacked the German trenches kicking a football between them. In an effort I daresay, to lessen the fear those poor lads were suffering…

Was you Grandad at Imphal and Kohima???

  122. Kevin KJ says:

Turning 50 I went to the doctors for a prostrate examination. The doctor felt my testicles and warned me that there was a high risk of an erection and that I was not to worry. I told him I apologise if that happens but he said it wasn’t me he was talking about.

  123. malaga gooner says:

hey lads would not mind bringing my metal detector to a couple of those places you have mentioned to do with the war

  124. tsgh says:

Kj, potter I wish they would get rid of pundits bar one or 2 … the likes of Paul Merson make my English and grammar sound like Adams… lol

  125. malaga gooner says:

there is only 1 pundit i have respect for and thats good old charlie boy,,never slags is of in a bad way,,top man and a gentleman

  126. allezkev says:

Ginge, I am pretty sure that the Indian Army in the Second World War, won more VC’s than an other arm of the British and Commonwealth armed forces…

They played a major role in defeating the Japanese…

  127. Micko says:

Fighting for peace is like fcuking for virginity.

tsgh, I love gingers, it’s Lee who reckons they should be shot at birth !
Jay 9.59, really….someone with a heart at Arsenal.

  128. frednerk says:

A 93 year old man’s sat on the curb crying
Passerby asks “whats up?” The old man moans “I’m 93,married to a 21 year old swedish underwear model who wants sex twice before breakfast and lunch, once before tea and su-k me off twice again at night!” Passerby says “whats the problem?”
The old man replies “I can’t fu-king remember where I live!

  129. tsgh says:

“I can’t fu-king remember where I live! is what Micko says after being on the dark smooth source… 😛

  130. tsgh says:

The Burma Campaign in the South-East Asian Theatre of World War II was fought primarily between British Commonwealth, Chinese and United States forces against the forces of the Empire of Japan, Thailand, and the Indian National Army. British Commonwealth land forces were drawn primarily from British India. The Burmese Independence Army was trained by the Japanese and spearheaded the initial attacks against the British forces.

    according to wiki…

  131. tsgh says:

I like Kevin Keegan too… he is unbiased as a pundit… considering he is a 2 times Europe best player winner he is more humble than the grade E former players who slate us daily to earn a wage….

  132. frednerk says:

Rumours, even unfounded ones, can have an impact on listed companies’ share prices. Social media can also work for and against companies, with rumours often spreading quickly on sites such as Twitter, fans’ relatively recent obsession with transfer rumours, and the power of agents will have long-term impacts on the stability of clubs finances.

    Carryon old bean..

  133. Micko says:

Think George might be in the know, he knows an agent or two, we need to put the squeeze on him.
tsgh, if it wasn’t for auto pilot I’d be living out of a ditch.
Who set kev off on the war anyway.

  134. rico says:

Welcome Henny, sorry for the delay in letting you out of moderation… Hope you are reading and come back..

    Evening all….

  135. Jay says:

Micko 4 .48 it Wouldnt be down to to the fact that so many fans have not taken up their S.Ts this year Would it ? There I go being an old cynic again

  136. rico says:

Chavs are off the mark in the transfer window then….. That’s them, Liverpool, Aston Villa and City all up and running…..

  137. rico says:

Arsene Wenger is trying to do a deal for France Under-21 midfielder Gilbert Imbula.

Arsenal manager Wenger has been monitoring the Guingamp midfielder for months and Imbula is also keen on a move to the Premier League.

The 20-year-old has also been watched by Chelsea and Lyon, with Guingamp likely to want around £8million to part with him this summer.

Imbula was born in Belgium to Congolese parents but moved to France at a young age and has a French passport.

He is a powerful defensive midfielder – a position the Gunners want to strengthen – and helped Guingamp gain promotion to the French first division last season.

Wenger has money available to spend on big-name ‘finished articles’ this summer but is also keen to boost the squad with good young prospects.

Arsenal have also been tracking Freiburg’s Germany U21 international Matthias Ginter, but face competition from Borussia Dortmund for the versatile 19-year-old defender or midfielder.

  138. Jay says:

Where is Wenger by the way? has he gone into hiding with Gazidis until all the top boys have been sold ,and then bring in a 15 year old african with great potential, another one for the future .

  139. Kevin KJ says:

    Ts

    How did you guess……:)

Pundits are idiots. Merse is a Chelsea fan who stood on their terraces and Stewart Robson is a raving mad Hammers fans. Yet they are made out to represent impartial Arsenal views.

  140. rico says:

He’s on holiday isn’t he Jay, probably on a yacht somewhere with with David Dein…

Hopefully discussing what life at Arsenal will be like under Alisher Usmanov.

  141. Adam says:

Yes, bring on Usmanov and carry out Kroenke with his huge profit. As long as Josh Kroenke never gets a foot in the door.

  142. Adam says:

Say it isn’t so Rico. His Dad is bad enough but with Josh Entitlement Kroenke having a say in Arsenal. Everything that bloke has ever touched has ended up in failure and discontent.
    So what’s new?

  143. rico says:

He’ll need a hard hat, he’ll get more eggs thrown at him than Simon Cowell!

    I’d make a trip to join in….

  144. Adam says:

We must remember the self-sustaining model though. No good aiming for the stars if you can’t afford it is there?

  145. rico says:

But Ivan said we can afford Rooney…

I know a few people who have that word in their dictionary Adam…. When it comes to the way Kroenke operates, I know why….

  146. Adam says:

What Ivan says is very, very seldom what Wenger does. Experience has taught us this. With each step that our rivals take to improve their teams so our impotency will shine the brighter. Sometimes you really have to show your power and intent. Get it together Arsenal ffs.

  147. devilgunner says:

you may be right Rico. But Adam and Ear uttered in the same post remind me of Squilli all the time.

But Adam may be right…………we never got to see the best of him.

  148. devilgunner says:

    Another youngster………………

Arsenal have completed the signing of Swedish striker Jamaal Raage from IF Brommapojkarna, according to the player’s agency.

Raage, who turned 16 in January and has scored two goals in four appearances for the Sweden U17 side, was one of several players who trialled with the club midway through last season and, after making a strong initial impression, was invited back to London Colney for further assessment.

He has now secured his move to North London and will form part of the club’s scholarship intake for the forthcoming campaign, acting as a direct replacement for Jordan Brown, whose move to West Ham United was officially confirmed today.

Raage is already familiar to many of Arsenal’s youngsters following his trial and is close friends with his compatriot Kristoffer Olsson, who made the move from Sweden to England two years ago and is now one of the club’s key players at U21 level.

Raage is Arsenal’s second signing at youth level following the high-profile acquisition of Dan Crowley from Aston Villa earlier this month, and is likely to be joined at the club next season by Barcelona defender Julio Pleguezuelo Selva, who is close to finalising his move.

With Chuba Akpom already firmly installed as part of the U21 set-up, Raage will provide competition for Austin Lipman in the U18s next season, whilst schoolboy strikers Kaylen Hinds, Olufela Olomola and Stephy Mavididi may also receive run-outs on occasion.

  149. rico says:

I think we did see the best of him – he and Djourou played well together, in fact I don’t we lost a match when they played at the back together….

  150. rico says:

Wow, great news that Devil, we’ll win the PL 😉 😉

I am all for us signing one or two younger ones if they look the real deal, but only IF we sign a few ‘proper’ players too… We’ll see eh….

  151. devilgunner says:

I would go for 11 top top players with another 6 very good players. The rest I would fill with common players who would do a job and youngsters who would be ready to make the step up.

Imagine Wilshere and Aaron surrounded by the likes of Petit, Vieira, Parlour, Pires, Edu, Gilberto.

  152. rico says:

I’d have to agree with that kind of player ratio Devil….

The younger ones need class to learn from, otherwise it’s average competing with average – a lose lose situation….

  153. rico says:

No Lee, suggestion is that a deal has been done with the Chavs….

Unless you really do mean Reg 😉

  154. devilgunner says:

Breaking news mates (and serious this one)…………it involves a journo who has been censored for two years (cannot write articles) for feeding wrong info to the public. While this is not a sports related info it is a landmark in our courts. At least now journos know that they cannot just spout a story and get away with it.

The paper and editor have also been penalised.

  155. devilgunner says:

I hope it is followed in England one day. Our judiciary system is the same as yours. (crap that means) So hopefully it kicks in bit by bit.

  156. malaga gooner says:

where will that leave commercial blogging.

how can they determine a private twitter from work twitter.
john cross could say on a private twitter account that he thinks x will happen.is that him being commercial?

    am i making any sense??

  157. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning all.
    Question on our youth sides/players.
Do we give them toooo long to prove themselves?
I know there can be late bloomers, but surely any kid worthy of a long term career at Arsenal will have proven himself and broken in to first team football by 19 or so.
    Yes or no??

  158. allezkev says:

It seems that Chelsea are showing an interest in Higuain…

    That’s him gone then!

Next could be Fellaini to the Bridge whilst Wenger tries to barter and save a few hundred quid…

    Mata Mk II…

And don’t make me laugh about Torres.
Abramovitch won’t allow him to join another EPL club.
And Mourinho wouldn’t give Wenger the time of day let alone one of his players….
    Joke rumour….

Mourinho must think it’s so so funny. While Wenger fanny’s about, the Septic One just brushes Arsenal aside and signs who he wants while Wenger is left to search out bargains in the French Ligue 2…

At least Gervinho is looking set to be sold to Marseilles.
And a good morning to you Lee….

  159. Adam says:

I did catch a glimpse Lee. I took it as a sign that Wenger was going to make some decent signings. But then I realised that was asking too much. We have to let Chelsea and the others move first.

  160. rico says:

Good morning Lee and Adam, I do hope this Gervinho story has some truth to it…

    No yellow thingy here 🙁

  161. rico says:

    Another kid signed then.

Maybe it would be an idea for Wenger to tell the scouts that their job is to watch first team players…..

    We might sign somebody then!

  162. devilgunner says:

Diaby will be like a new signing in this window, then he will be like a new signing in January and then he will sign a new contract again in June/July with January 2015 again being another new signing.

Good morning Lady and brudder Gentlemen.

And next year, summer 2015 AW himself will be like a new signing as well!!!!!

    Wonder where he’ll play!!!!!! 😕

  164. devilgunner says:

Its better if you pin your hopes on a couple of Pastizzi Adam. Each carries around 500calories. So a couple of them will set you up for half a day.

    FFP is a dodgy business

  165. Adam says:

Though I very much appreciate the effort that went into that I must admit that I do detect a cynical slant.
It is quite fantastic though. 🙂

  166. devilgunner says:

We have to wait and see Lady. At least the summer so far (after the end of season) has not been so boring. Even if we were promised heaven on earth and we know that they were just that……..promises.

  167. devilgunner says:

    The music I liked.

But on a serious note I cannot criticise Squilli. Even though he is the object of fun sometimes.

I can only criticise who bought him and play him.

But not Squilli or Almunia or Chamack for that matter. I can only criticise the person who bought them, played them and then let the public humiliate them.

  168. Adam says:

Why are we are dawdling about in this (and every other) transfer window. The feelings of déjà vu are overwhelming. Why did Gazidis come out with that claptrap last week?
    Actions speak louder than words.

  169. devilgunner says:

Bendtner and Denilson yes. I do criticise…..due to their own ego and slating AFC even though they were still contracted to the club.

  170. devilgunner says:

you are right Adam. It is a horrible feeling and its sinking in again. I thought it was to be different but I am becoming a bit sceptic. Yes, I can still hope but hope is like peeeee. Keep putting it off and eventually a pipe will burst.

  171. rico says:

But are they promises Devil – or just lies…..?

‘I can only criticise the person who bought them, played them and then let the public humiliate them’.

    Spot on….

  172. Adam says:

In my rather basic and naive mind I cannot envisage Usmanov letting our competitors have their own way quite so dramatically in the transfer window. But, I am probably wrong as I will no doubt be told when the happy clappers arrive.

  173. Adam says:

If Wenger signs a new massively lucrative contract and doesn’t up his game considerably, this will be a watershed season for him, the club and tens of thousands of fans.

  174. devilgunner says:

Lee I do not think its the tyre kicking which is deafening. Actually we are trying to catch the soap bubbles IG is showering us with and when each one bursts its the almighty plop that we are hearing.

  175. Adam says:

It is Gazidis who has ramped up the expectation, not the fans. We are expected to pay up. Nobody at the club makes a judgement as to whether we think the ludicrous ST prices are value for money.
Surely, if Fellaini was £15 million when Everton signed him, he must be worth £20 + million now. After all, he has been a success hasn’t he?

  176. Lee says:

    Come on down Happy Clappers…hahaha!
Arsene it’s not your money, give your list of targets to someone that won’t piss about and fuck off on holiday….just a thought! £1m or £2m who really gives a fuck, just sign what’s needed!!

  177. Bradster says:

    Morning all,

I was wondering how many and how much we spend on scouts?
Surely if they’re watching the top talent it’s a waste as we can’t afford to buy them.
If they’re watching the popular youngsters, we lose out to richer or more successful teams.
So I guess we only need half the scouts to watch the junior leagues, the could come good has beens and the African Frenchies.

  178. allezkev says:

    Morning Gooners.
Morning Rico, Coach, Adam and Lee again…
    The gangs all here…

July 1st, that’s when contracts expire, that’s when we’ll know for sure I suppose.
That’s when we’ll know if Wenger and Gazides have played us for mugs again…

  179. rico says:

Morning Bradster, the amount of younger players we sign, I think they attend far too many club creche’s 😉

  180. rico says:

Morning Ak, it’s frustrating but we have to wait until then like you say….

    Won’t be long and I’m on £2.07 now 🙂

  181. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all,
We have to wait for the window to open before we criticise, Yes i know whats happened in the past, and the signs are that it will go the same way. We are always hopeful when we look doomed at the end of a season but our hopes have been realised over and over again. See the window out and keep your hopes as i believe we will buy, maybe not top names as we know them but still good enough to win us things.

  182. allezkev says:

If I was an Arsenal scout, I would feel like my life is a waste of time.
Imagine scouting these players, and knowing that they are just what we need.
Then the frustration of watching competitors hoovering up the same players while your bosses faff about trying to save 5p….
