Entertaining, yet worrying. Super subs save Arsene..

Morning all.

For the neutral, an entertaining match. For both Leicester and Arsenal fans, a comedy of errors. No doubt like you guys, I don’t care about Leicesters defensive frailties but I’m more than a little concerned about ours. Yes we had our main men missing as often seems to be the case on the opening day of the season but even so, there should have been some discipline and structure on display last night but in all honesty, it was nothing we haven’t seen before. No wonder a portion of Arsenal fans are calling for Wenger to sign a big strong centre back who knows how to organise his fellow defenders.

On last nights showing, Petr Cech needs to buck his ideas up too but once the the likes of Merts, Koscielny and Mustafi return, perhaps he won’t get called into action or left so exposed as often. I still can’t understand how a 5′ 8″ guy was able to beat Xhaka in the air.

Conceding three goals at home against a team which doesn’t include the best attacking unit in the league is a massive concern and if I was Arsene Wenger, I’d make the players watch a rerun of all three over and over again with Steve Bould and Jems Lehman. Oh, and the opportunities the Leicester players had to score more too.

On the bright side, Arsenal scored four which ensured all three points stayed in North London but not always will that be the case.

When Arsene Wenger went for broke, bringing on Ollie and Ramsey for Holding and Elneny it was going to go one of two ways. Either a moment of madness or a stroke of genius. It turned out to be the latter so credit to the Frenchman.

Lacazette made the perfect start with a goal soon after the game kicked off. Unselfishly he set up Welbeck for our second, a goal which will hopefully give him a lot of confidence. Ramsey with our third, Ollie with the winner, both of which have Xhaka to thank for the assist. The Swiss midfielder had been superb in the Charity Shield but last night, for much of the game, he had a night to forget.

Three points, four good goals and a lot of determination to win the game on show. Mental strength and togetherness too.  (I thought you’d like that)

But a lot of what went on in between needs some serious attention. Although that’s nothing new.

Alexis watched on and I’d love to know what was going through his mind. Probably something similar to what was going through many Arsenal fans mind.

Back to the drawing board Arsene and perhaps the transfer window….

Whatever happens it’s 3 points and a better start than we’ve had in recent seasons at home. I can’t believe there hasn’t been more talk about signing a strong defender, but maybe this will give Wenger something to think about… I’d much rather we have a game like that now while we still have the chance to do something about it rather than give a defensive performance like than after the window shuts

    Morning Rico and all

Most interesting part of AW’s interview was that he said that Giroud had decided to stay and on reflection he does offer us something different and the competition with Lacazette though different type of players should be healthy.

Three key players missing in defence but even so we were carved open far too often and when will zonal marking end IMO we sold the wrong keeper.
    .
No Sanchez tonight wasn’t the key.Welbeck despite his well timed goal continues to frustrate.Let’s hope the win restores confidence as the game could have gone either way.Fine margins as per usual.
I still maintain to win titles you need a solid defence and build from there and we haven’t seen that consistently for a long time.It doesn’t matter who is playing and in what formation as I keep saying a good team is built from a good keeper and solid defence that understands each other.

AW doesn’t do defence, that is our achilles heel.

  3. rico says:

Woody. I doubt AW will change his mind after yesterday because of so many defenders being out. That’s what he does imo.

I’ love us to get Virgil (spelling) from Southampton… Chambers looks to be history at Arsenal as unless Wenger didn’t want two youngsters at the back together, him not starting is a mystery..

  4. rico says:

I think so Adam. He won’t get out jumped that’s for sure..

Good idea if Chambers is departing. They could have Gabriel too… 😉

  5. potter says:

There must be a reason that Boothroyd prefers Chambers to Holding , Perhaps he can see something that Wenger cannot , would not surprise me as has already been said defending is not his strong point . As it gets in the way of attacking I am sure they don’t actually practice it much in the 5 a sides they seem to concentrate on…

  6. Alex says:

    Gooood morning Rico

Hope you enjoyed the break as i do.

Le prof at the helm means repeat everything and nothing changes.

My advice is prepare for the worse and not kill yourself .
Defence not addresesd and spanked near 80 mil just on that depart.

Midfield full of one touch mediocres .Very limited technically .None of them is confident to keep the ball on its feet and run/trick opponents.

XAKA enough said.Press him quickly and just kick the ball it does not matter where it land.35 M for this …you having a laugh.Anyone can loose the ball or dispossesed but in his case is just does not have it.

Lacazette and Sead …wait till he will ruin them.

I am optimistic we are gojng to win the league the season because :

Manure they will revolt on Moaner

    ManCity to many new players

Chelsea after winning last season would not be hungry.

Liverpool and Spuds will have exodous syndrome.

Yeah ….wenger is capable of winning after all.

  7. rico says:

They certainly didn’t look like they practice defending yesterday Potter. And it’s not like Wenger hasn’t knows his options for a while now. Apart from Merts injury last weekend the rest were always going to be missing.

Adam, half the squad I’d say.. 😉

  8. allezkev says:

Vardy was outstanding against us again, I know that he’s not everyones cup of tea but to me he has something of the Ian Wrights about him, late developer, doesn’t give a fcuk and a finisher.

Monreal is superb, as a sweeper alongside a tall man in a three, he’s perfect for that but he isn’t a centre-half, Holding and Bellerin will have better nights. Holding will be top quality and a stalwart of our defence for years to come but he’s still young and needs patience. He’ll learn from yesterday’s game and he won’t face Vardy every week thankfully, but I hope he plays at Stoke because we’ll need his physicality up there in that shit-hole.

I like Chambers but it seems that Wenger has made up his mind about him, so would Wenger pay a club record fee for Virgil?
I’m not sure that he would pay that amount and anyway would Southampton offer us £20m for Chambers in a part-ex..?

It great to see disruption at Liverpool.
    Long may it continue.

  9. rico says:

I don’t blame the players Kev, it’s the lack of organisation which is clearly going on on the training pitch. It has to be because no matter who Wenger signs, the same mistakes get made.

Ditt re Liverpool, and Chelsea to an extent.

  10. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    Rico,

Sounds about right!how the game panned out, but the way I see it you don’t expect to hit the ground running @ full rat power in week1. Yet The Arse got every point on offer, have no attacking deficiencies & defenders to come back into the starting line up. That’s just how I see it of course, & I am happy with it!

Now I know there will be some who will say on that performance The Arse will be whipped by better opposition, but that is just a matter of opinion because this season the main opposition will be concentrating on CL.

Is everyone up yet for the footie. It looked like/sounded like it after the 80 minute mark anyway?

  11. Alex says:

Did i hear Yaya Sanogo has left the club ?

    Wrong ….wrong …wrong

    Is fully incorporated

    In

    Daniel Nii Tackie Mensah Welbeck

  12. allezkev says:

And Tottenham Rico, their salary cap seems to be blowing up…
Happy days with Wembley to come as well…

  13. allezkev says:

Gnarly the funny thing is, in the last 3 meaning full games against elite opposition, FACSF, FACF, CS, Arsenal have won all three, now you can say that we was lucky or whatever, but we won.

Stoke (a) is gonna be a fcukfest as per usual, so let’s see where we are after that one, it’s still early days and everyone is settling down into their rhythm…

Rico, it is what it is, we aren’t a defensive team, never have been under Wenger and never will be.

That’s why he’s never succeeded in european competitions.

I can’t see us signing Virgil, not with BFG, Koscielny, Gabriel, Monreal, Holding, Mustafi, Kolasanac (?) and Maitland-Niles (for Adam ?) who can play in the back three.
I like him and wouldn’t mind him at Arsenal, but it’s Lemar or nothing I reckon, no surprises this window.

  14. frednerk says:

    Afternoon Rico and All
Why are a lot surprised with our defensive display.
Arsenes been doing this for years, going back to
the Kanu days when he used come on for the 4 up tops
    custers last stand heroics.

Basically its kids football for men.

Preparation on dead balls means nothing,
    if you haven’t a leader to tell/order,
defending won’t come easy to an attack minder player,
most are trying to get away from opposing players,
    not chasing after them.

It was a great fight back..But
Here we go.. Here we go..Here we go

  15. rico says:

Gg, surely you’d expect the team to be able to defend though?

Ah yes, I forgot the tiny Totts are having a few problems, bigger the better eh Kev.. 😉

    Afternoon Fred and all..

  16. ScottfromOz says:

So lately, we lose the first game of the season.
This time, we won from behind.
We had our best two CB’s out, (as well as Alexis)yet Arsenal fans blame our defence for the the result-which was a win, mind you:
Our best start to the season in years.
    Missing our best 2 CB’s:
Can anyone explain this apparent failure, because common sense suggests we did ok.

  17. Bob John says:

    Hi all
Firstly Leicester reminded me of the old Wimbledon with their kick and rush and fifty yard throw ins! That’s what you get when an old school ‘football man’ like Craig Shakespeare gets given a manager’s position
Secondly, I felt Bellerin and Holding were left exposed. Ozil was nominally on the right but kept losing the ball and not covering the space in front of Hector.
    Thirdly. Sky were gutted!!!!!

  18. goonster says:

So Scott we should all get drunk and have an orgy all because we beat leceister? Are you kidding me scott?? Dude we conceded 3 goals at home ffs. Yes our best CBs were out but whose fucking fault was it?? Scott sometimes you baffle me. Lord God in heaven. Do you just do this to troll us all or what?

  19. goonster says:

He had all summer what did he do about the lack of cover?? We all knew that kozzer ll be out. Mustafi came back with an injury from the confeds cup. Yet we should should all celebrate cause ee bested leciester???

  20. Joaquim Moreira says:

Mustafi was back later. So, Chambers is a mystery. Wasn’t he fit ? Why we wasn’t in the bench yesterday instead of Mustafi?
Another central back? Do we need another central/full back? if we not sell anyone I think not. Moreover, one can be loaned. (with or no the condition to return on January).
Midifield – Xaxa-Elheny – they not extend the game
    Best option – Xaxa-Ramsey
Without Cazorla. when one of them can’t play (or both) who can do this role?
Elhemy (Xaxa) maybe; Coquelin (Xaxa) maybe….but the differences are higher. and, who can replace Ramsey? Ox???? How many games can Ramsey play fit ina season?

In my opinion, it’s this the Arsenal problem core.

  21. rico says:

No Adam, just back from Con Feds Cup and hasn’t trained much…

Scott, read the comments again, I don’t think people are blaming the defence, just the way the team defend as a unit which is down to the dreadful way they are coached…

  22. rico says:

    Isn’t it always Adam…?

I bet Wenger wishes he known our season begun yesterday instead of having it sprung on him at the minute…

The day Southampton accused Liverpool of tapping up Virgil, we should have been in there. That was possibly the moment Saints would have sold to us… Especially if we chucked a couple of players their way, including Ox if he really is desperate to leave..

  23. Kk says:

    Afternoon..

Karma is a bitch. .Cahil got what he deserved for elbowing BFG..

I don’t think there is anyone who is not happy (relieved ) with the result yesterday. However, it would be really stupid not to see the bigger picture and be concerned. .
To pretend everything is rosey and say we will come good is just having a blind faith in wenger,
You only have to look at how things turned out to be in the previous seasons.

  24. frednerk says:

    Amazing when chairman makes decisions.

The gangster went over the midgets head and
    sold us Cech….Toys out.
The gangster went over another midgets head
    and sold Matic…Toys out.

Think the checkbook coming this week.

  25. AndrewH says:

Just think, if game had ended 10 minutes earlier yesterday, we couldn’t be enjoying Chelsea’s result nearly as much. Thank you Ramsey and Giroud.

  26. Bondex says:

All concerns as per our defence have been well documented. We need an upgrade in the defence, someone in the mould of Vincent Kompany would greatly improve our team. It’s a pity AW doesn’t see it in that light…

  27. allezkev says:

Rejection can be a hard thing Rico… ?
I remember being rejected by the school choir… ?

It took me years to recover…

  28. allezkev says:

I only got over Rico when Adam insisted that I sang along to his rendition of a Jimi Hendrix classic.

    It was cathartic ?

  29. Le Coq Monster says:

    Evening all and thank`s Rico.

Only seen highlights as the whole game is not yet on Arsenal Player ???

As long as we win I dont care how rubbish the defending is/was as we are obviously not at full strength in nthat department and with no Alexis either as wins a win and I`m sure Bindippers and Chavs would swap results………………..weird to see from highlights that Bellerin and Ox swapped sides, but I like it as it confuses and unsettles defenders of other teams, same as when wingers do it, so why not WB`s !

Now the bad news and Wenger really needs to win all the games before the TW ends as that is the only way it may take minds off our futile transfer dealings !…………………………….this from Ornstein and it will take a mega deal to get Lemar !…………………………….

BBC Sports journalist David Ornstein believes that Arsenal are unlikely to pursue the services of Monaco winger Thomas Lemar unless they make a substantial offer this summer.

The Principality outfit have clearly indicated that the 21-year-old will remain at Stade Louis II with the club reluctant to lose any players following the exits of Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Speaking on Radio Five Live h/t The Star, Ornstein admits that the deal is literally off with the French champions maintaining their stance of not selling the winger. He added that the Gunners may have to make an incredible offer – predictably breaking their transfer record in order to secure the signature of the highly-rated Frenchman.

“It’s very unlikely Arsenal will sign him now,” he said. “There is interest there but Monaco have made their stance pretty clear that he’s not for sale and it would take an incredible amount of money for Arsenal to prise him away.”

Arsenal have made two promising signings in the form of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette this summer, and Ornstein believes that there could be another arrival prior to the deadline, although the emphasis is on offloading their fringe players.

He concluded: “There may be one that Arsenal are possibly looking to bring in. I don’t think there is a specific name, but there is perhaps scope to bring in one more player. They may look to bring a player in before the deadline but the priority is to shift a player out.

So dont get your hopes up !………………….Orny has spoken !

  30. allezkev says:

If Alexis had left Cocker, then I think that Arsenal may have pushed the boat out for Lemar, but if Kroenke is to allow Alexis, Ozil and AOC to stay and probably have a Bosman next year then he wasn’t going to sanction another club record deal for Lemar…

Rico, maybe the progress shown by Nelson has caused Wenger to hesitate over spending lots more on new signings and instead is going with Project Youth again?

I’ll guess we’ll know for sure if it’s the right decision if some of the youngsters push on in the UEFA Cup this season?

  31. ScottfromOz says:

    Stan,
Heaven forbid you actually ever write something in support of the club.
The funny things is, people have labelled me rude, crass and terse-they’ve obviously never read your posts lol
Rico, I very rarely see a mention of Bould, who is our defensive coach, when it comes to people criticising our defence.
Why does he escape criticism from everyone?

  32. goonster says:

Scott am just stating the obvious my man. We as a fanbase celebrate mediocrity. We just shipped 3 goals at home yet you managed to put a positive spin on that. Dude this is not a one off occurrence. Its a yearly dose of abject and mindboggling performances. Its an annual thing scott. Yes we won but would we if we had been playing the mancs chavs scousers or totnum(spits). Enough of this blind leading the blind bullshit. We are fucked until this scrawny pimp faced twat leaves our club. P.S i have never been rude to anyone on HH and i ve been here longer than most!

  33. ScottfromOz says:

    Never been rude?
    Ok then.
Not once have I said we’ve got a squad capable of challenging, this season.
Nor have I defended Wenger and his transfer dealings.
We’d have lost that game last year or the year before, imo.
That’s some sort of improvement, at least.
No, I didn’t say it’s enough to suddenly give us confidence for the season ahead.
Don’t call me a troll-that’s bullshit and you know it.

  34. Obi says:

Once again I must ask, do Arsenal fans really watch the game? I have watched the game 4x, I really can’t phantom why people are killing Holding. He made 3 major mistakes 2 which he recovered and one that didn’t lead to a score which should have. The problem was Cech, 2 of the goal was clearly Cech’s fault.

I must say, I have watched Lacazzet for a long time, and his defensive work yestetday was an eye opener. Never had I seen him like that. Now I know why AW is insisting that Sanchez is not for sale….. gosh salivating thinking about he and Lacazzet together, they will rip apart defenses with their movement and football IQ.

  35. goonster says:

Scott we would have lost that game last season so shipping 3 goals at home is an improvement huh? Lord God in heaven! So according to your logic we need to score 400 goals concede 300 to win the league??? Alright scott. Am a believer. Long live arsene wenger!

  36. goonster says:

Obi these are same people castigating xhaka for being slow. Like he could suddenly sprint like usain bolt!! The manager saw how ge struggled when pressed last season yet didnt do anything to shore up the midfield. Xhaka needs a feisty hard tackling relentless son of a bitch next to him and you ll see xabi Alonso reborn!

  37. Le Coq Monster says:

    That`s blasphemy, Rico !……….hahaha

I think we should save the venom `till we actually lose a game !…………………………….although I`m with Scott !…………….lets abuse Steve Bould………not for his defensive coaching, but because he wears white ankle socks and black eye liner ! hahaha

  38. frednerk says:

Not sure if Steve Bould bought any of these players scott.
But I know who did…I think
Why you deflect everything from Arsene buffles me
you say you never watched the game yet comment
    on the defending.
We are different in that my passion for The Arsenal
runs a lot deeper than yours.
Because no matter where I am in the world.
I never miss the live game and never will.

Hope you don’t take me for geezer thats gangs up
on a easy target..But you could be talking about me with your
    comments,lately.

  39. ScottfromOz says:

Stan, at 3-2 down with then to go, yes, I believe we’d have lost.
Is that an improvement of sorts-I believe so.
Again, I clearly stated it’s not enough to win the League and yet again, you go off half cocked without reading what i wrote.

  40. goonster says:

Scott am amaze how everyone cops the blame but wenger to you!!! Its really unbelievable. Year after year. Player after player, same outcome yet you still find a way to exonerate him. Men with men like you i ll build an empire.

  41. ScottfromOz says:

Some of you blame Wenger for everything and that’s ureasonable.
I asked why the defence is being blamed on Wenger-like everything is-yet rarely does Bould get a mention.
Fred, not that I give a shit about your insults or opinions, but for the record, I am currently Working 7 days a week, yet I miss the odd 3am game and suddenly I lack passion?
What a good man you really are hahahahaha

  42. goonster says:

Fred don’t know if you remember a time our defense got sorted. We started conceding lwzs goals and i think went on a run towards the end of the season without conceding a goal. Bouldy got plaudits from every ramification. Everyone was singing his praise even the pundits on t.v. we both know what happened next.

  43. ScottfromOz says:

Stan, it’s really impossible to discuss anything with you as you just read every 3rd or 4th word, I’m sure.
I blame Wenger, just not for every single thing that goes wrong.
We are different because you refuse to acknowledge anything good he does, where I am happy to criticise him.
Then, as Fred says, it’s because I lack passion.

  44. goonster says:

Scott cause he’s the fucking manager! Jesus Christ scott. He’s been paid 10 million a year! He runs everything within the club. Even the length of the grass and how much water we sprinkle on it. Come on Scott.

  45. goonster says:

No one doubts your credibility as a gooner scott. You re a gooner through and through but more of an arsene wenger fan. Am sorry to say that but its true scotty oz.

  46. ScottfromOz says:

    Stan,
If you’re prepared to criticise, it’s only decent to also applaud and give credit but so many aren’t capable.
Don’t dare say I don’t criticise him as that is wrong.
You can keep throwing Wenger at me but he’s the manager, and will have my full support, as will his replacement.
Tell me what complaining every day gets you, other than a headache and high blood pressure?
    I can’t change our manager.
    None of us can.

  47. Obi says:

Goonster @ 11:23, exactly….. it’s not that we haven’t realized where the deficiencies are. That’s what kills me when people talk about the players. For an example Ozil on every team he’s been on has been protected defensively. But all of the sudden AW thinks he’s Gilberto. The constant failure to understand personnel is flabbergasting.

  48. goonster says:

Scott i ll applaud wenger when he finally fucks off from my club. He deserves nothing but constant berating from the fans. He is a fucking lunatic. A tyrant and most of all he’s unfit to manage a world class team like the arsenal. 20 something years in one club is enough for anyone except that egotistical son of a whore. In 20 years he’s only delivered 3 premier league titles and 6 fa cups. No title in Europe the only time he made it to the final of the now defunct uefa cup he lost to gala!!! Galafuckingstaray scott! The only time a Turkish club won a major trophy in Europe was against us. Dont you feel a bit embarrassed Scott??? We went from a team that was hard to break down to a bunch of wimps lead by a limp prick!!! You can go ahead and applaud him all you want scott i won’t. If he had any decency as a human being he would have left last season after all the uproar yet the old fool signed a new deal. You all talk about how classy he is i beg to differ. He has none. God i hate that thin faced bastard.

  49. ScottfromOz says:

Stan, I can’t see why that post would be deleted.
I don’t have a drama with it as it’s your opinion.
We see things differently but we both want the same thing, at the end of the day.
    Later, mate.

  50. Le Coq Monster says:

    Morning all.

The banter between Scott and Goonster was almost as entertaining as the Chav/Burnley match on MOTD !…………..hahaha

Sad day that Galafcukingtasaray loss, but I go back to when Cardiff beat us in the FA Cup final…the only time the FA Cup has left England !!!…….and it was Carfcukingdiff !!!…………..although I cant blame Wenger for that one !………………..no !..it was that son of a whore Chapman`s fault for making our goalie where a new shiny shirt !………………………..
    ::lol:

Like the new lay out, Rico…..Nice !
    🙂

  51. potter says:

Wow ! What a session I missed last night , damn this need to sleep.

The defence and nobody blaming Bould , well he is a sounding board just as Keown was before him . On both occasions the back four started operating like a solid unit however Wenger has stated frequently that the final decisions are his and his alone. Therefor he cops the blame . Q.E.D.

  52. ScottfromOz says:

Potter, that’s fair enough but I’m amazed Bould sits back and accepts it, especially as he’d know a hell of a lot more absolutely It defending then Wenger ever would lol
Still, a nice salary seems to keep plenty ty at the club quiet and content.
It’s a shame, and again we go back to how and why one man wields so much power.
Can you see him still around in 3, 4, 5 years or even more?
I really am surprised he saw out the last revolt against him.
He’s definitely made of stern stuff.
LC, Stan and I go at it but it always ends well 🙂

  53. rico says:

    Morning all.

    A feisty evening I see… Glad I slept through it…

I do think passion for any club runs deeper within a person born and bred local to a club than those of us who ‘choose’ to support a club. Doesn’t mean to say we aren’t passionate fans though, just in a different way.

I too can’t blame Bould for our shoddy defending because my own opinion is that Wenger controls everything as far as the football goes and as many have suggested, defending just isn’t in his DNA.

Perhaps like Gazidis, Bould is playing the waiting game. Although I’d be seriously frustrated if I was Bouldy.. speak out though and there’s little doubt he’d be a gonner…

  54. ScottfromOz says:

Rico, an 8 year old Gooner would be more passionate than a lifelong supporter born overseas, simply because the kid was born in the area?
    Not sure I agree.
Everyone chooses a club to support, as there are plenty of families around North London where some support other clubs who shall remain unnamed 🙂

  55. rico says:

None of us on here are an 8 year old supporter Scott.

None of us on here have chosen to support a club other than Arsenal either..

  56. Le Coq Monster says:

Next game up The Orcs !…….win that 5-0 and the defence plays bad and it could all go nuclear !
    😆

    Looks very classy Rico……………………….very Berkshiresque ! 🙂

  57. ScottfromOz says:

Rico, never sure If it’s just me, or something else has happened, but suddenly, the site is operating much quicker.
    Looks good, as well!!

  58. allezkev says:

    Morning All

Thoroughly enjoyed watching MotD, seeing Chelsea, Liverpool etc defend like pub teams.
Man City looked like a slick well-oiled machine, but let’s see how they go when somebody actually puts pressure on their defence?

I’m really looking forward to seeing Lacazette, Ozil and Alexis link up, some body is going to take one hell of a beating if they all click.

  59. rico says:

I don’t see why you asked the question in the first place then Scott..

🙂 Lc, honestly, I’ve no idea how it happened, must have been a wordpress update.

  60. ScottfromOz says:

    Hiya Kev,
Citeh will be a tough unit to crack this season, no question, but it’s a loooong season.
I hope they finish runners up 🙂

  61. allezkev says:

Morning Scott, I think that ManUre are going to be boringly relentless and the team to beat.

Rico, give that man a pat on the back, a great job… ?

  62. goonster says:

Morning good people sorry about last night rico. Just letting off steam. Hey yo scott i love you man? no hard feelings brother. Me and you go back like spaghetti and meatballs. Lol.

Unfortunately it seems as though Lemar isn’t going to happen. Perhaps if we had steamed in earlier? Sanchez is in Paris, Ozil fancies Barcelona and we want Ascensio. Still not a proper defender in sight though.

  64. ScottfromOz says:

I thought (dreamed) Arsene would get to work on transfers once back from this part of the world.
    Meatballs, Stan?
    Damn 🙂

  65. potter says:

Ozil to Barca and Sanchez to PSG , it all unravels and Wenger goes to the end of season boot sale to see what’s about. We’ve been here before, just as well we haven’t sold anyone apart from the next best keeper in Europe or else we would really be up shit creek.

  66. Adam says:

Potter. Like you I struggle to see the logic or wisdom of the Chesney sale. Why not just extend his loan period so the next manager can make the decision. Specially as Cech is now looking very shaky. I would have thought that Ches might have grown up during his time abroad. A ‘keeper of his potential would be around £30 million I would have thought.
Such is the wisdom of Arsene.

  67. goonster says:

Ozil to barca ll never happen. Its all paper talk. Besides i ll br over the moon if it happens. Don’t get me wrong I love the ozster but the English game dont suit him. Flog him says i if only the money ll be invested back into the team. But i think its too late now in the window. Not gonna happen. Sanchez yes ozster nah.
