English freebie on his way in? Arsenal on the up & Bellerin/Walcott Challenge….

Morning all.

British sprinter Richard Kilty says he is willing to bet £30,000 that he can outpace Arsenal speedsters Hector Bellerin and Theo Walcott over any distance they fancy.

This comes about after recent media reports stating that full-back Bellerin has overtaken England winger Walcott as the fastest man at Arsenal over 40 metres.

All sounds like fun doesn’t it but if such a challenge is to take place, wait until the season is over. Oh, and make sure the money goes to charity….

Talking of Theo Walcott, according to reports he will finally open contract talks in a couple of weeks time. My own belief is that if nothing gets resolved prior to transfer window opening, his career with Arsenal will be over as I cannot imagine the hierarchy at the club allowing him to leave next summer for nothing, not when they could get £20 million (give or take a few million) for him this summer.

Apparently it’s not about the money as the media like to make out, it’s about playing time. He wants to play. I think he will on Saturday and if he does, he’s got to start working hard for the team. Others do, he has too.

Jack Wilshere is another player who will be desperate to play at Wembley on Saturday. For a good chunk of the season he’s had to watch from the stands having suffered injury but he’s enjoyed watching and believes the team have improved:

Not just over the last season, I think it’s over the last few years [that we have made progress]. We lost a lot of players from when I started in the first team, a lot of people said Arsenal would never come back but we didn’t listen to them.

We kept going, added real quality, world-class players to the squad and the main thing here is the team ethic.

You can see that we have a great atmosphere around, everyone wants to work for one another and we go into every game knowing we can create chances if we stay strong defensively.

I remember when I got my first injury and it was the year when Cesc [Fabregas] left. We struggled that year at the start and it was tough to watch.

It has been totally different this year – they have been playing great football and it has been a joy to watch.

Arsenal haven’t always been a joy to watch, especially during the first half of the season but latterly, some of our football has been tip top. Watching players like Bellerin, Monreal, Coquelin, Sanchez, Cazorla, Ozil go about their game has been exciting – Ollie’s goals have been a joy and the recent form of Ramsey is most welcome. To be honest, most of the players have been working their socks off for the team, even Merts has tried sprinting……

Seriously, if Theo Walcott wants playing time, whilst watching from the sidelines he needs to see exactly what those players have been doing for each other and follow suit, otherwise, there will be no room for him in this Arsenal squad.

Jack Wilshere has seen it, Theo Walcott needs to…..

Gossip – The Sun report that Arsene Wenger wants to up his English quota in the squad and will snap up James Milner for free in the summer..

Would you be pleased if he did?

That’s it for today, it’s going to be a hot one so get the BBQ out and start cooking….

    Player Stats..What is missing.

    Leadership…….Where are the stats?
    Team play……..Where are the stats?
    Passion…………Where are the stats?
    and most of all,
    Talking…………No Stats for these very
    basic team needs.
We all follow the ball during a game,
we read the papers…..watch match of the day
    look at the stats,
we then have an opinion..Don’t we.
We have seen the experts relate to the
    odd bit of passion..
Well the reason we have looked a better
balanced team since the new year,
    is because of one player.
    The Coq
He has shown all the above,
but all we read about are the stats.
I know on here he has got the support,
    Breaking up play and all.

The thing I like is his Chat.

Couldn’t agree more re Coq fred.

Just been listening to Brian McDermott who is on Sky Sports. He can’t speak highly enough of Coquelin and he says the other players all have huge respect for him for what he has done, where he’s been and what he’s doing for Arsenal right now….

  3. rico says:

We won’t have to wait too long to find out Scott…

Thanks Wavy – when we signed the puddy cat, we have no money, now things are very different so fingers crossed…

  4. rico says:

Klopp to leave at the end of the season. I reckon City have tapped him up, or Arsenal have but I’d be surprised if it’s us….

  5. rico says:

    Hi Stan..

Afternoon Andrew – your scenario makes more sense, but would cheesed off it was Milner instead of someone like Morgan…

  6. allezkev says:

    Afternoon All…

    Afternoon Rico…
    Another simply wonderful post M’Lady…

    Milner for Flamini…
I can see the sense in that…

  7. goonster says:

Lol rico I ll take Milner in a second. He’s a battler. Been there done that. Plus he shows up in big games. But like you said I would rather Morgan then Milner. Morning HH

  8. allezkev says:

Signing Milner shouldn’t be an obstacle to signing Schneiderlin Stan….

Debuchy to PSG, not sure about that one tbh…
I think that Jenkinson is gonna leave, unfortunately.
Maybe a swap deal with PSG, using Debuchy to get Rabiot perhaps?

  9. rico says:

That’s just what I think too Stan. I guess he’d add to the English quota too and if this story is true, AW could be thinking about that daft rule Dyke hopes to bring in…

  10. goonster says:

Nah kev not rabiot anyone but rabiot. I ll take verratti though 😀 plus 20 million for debuchy

  11. rico says:

Another thing to consider perhaps is this Klopp stuff. If he is going to City, Milner might just want to stay..

    So many ifs and buts…

  12. goonster says:

Dyche is a dick rico….that quota system won’t help the English game. It ll hinder it. Mark my words

  13. tsgh says:

    Rumours are that the BVB board and Watzke have accepted a bid for Hummels… in preparation for missing out on Euroopean cash;
    Gundogan is going too so…
Klopps’ days were numbered though… the atmosphere has been poor for the last 2 season’s with sections of fans wanting him out…

I think Kloop will go to Madrid and Carlito will join $hitty…

  14. goonster says:

I hope so rico….reading all fired up. Waiting for an upset. Lol let’s smash those coonts. We ve never lost to then ever have we??

  15. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good Afternoon Lovelies and hunkies.

I like Milner Rico. He would replace Flamini and give us experience. Plus he is English.

It would be a pity if Jenks were to leave. Whatever he does I wish him well. He is an honest bloke and that is a rarity in many players.

  16. tsgh says:

Rico must be away with Fido…
I am surprise wiki hasn’t alerted rico to the fact that Marco V. is a short ass… 🙂

Yeah Verrati is the nuts… he can play DM too. 🙂

  17. goonster says:

Ts I ll play verratti in goal just to have him in the first 11. That’s how much I love that bugger 😀

  18. rico says:

A small nuts though Lee.. 😉

Devil – I think some would love us to get Milner, others not so much so – we’ll see…

Would love to see Jenks stay too….

  19. goonster says:

Yeah but we had to rico he wasn’t developing like we hoped he would plus amongst all the players we let go none hurts more than nico yenarris. I love that kid. He’s a gooner through and through. So sad.

  20. goonster says:

He’s still with us? Are you serious? ? Oh happy day. There’s hope then. Thank you jesus. I love that kid.

  21. Hell Raising Devil says:

its always sad when a Gunner does not make it Goonie. but only 11 play on the pitch and only a further 14 players can be utilised. But at least you know that the education they received at AFC will stand them a good stead in their future.

Almunia was not a Gunner through and through, he was not produced by AFC, yet he never spoke a bad word about AFC. and he always felt grateful for the chance he got. that is what makes him a gentleman.

LAds like yennaris will always hold the club high in their esteem. Cesc on the other hand……..

  22. goonster says:

Buy cesc never said anything bad about the club or fans either dev. He’s been a good ambassador for us. We signed sanchez but he did all the ground work. I hold no grudge.

  23. goonster says:

Rico I was gonna say the same thing. Lol bellerin on loan joe?? Hahahahahah that’s rich. While we are at that can we send coquelin too 😀

  24. tsgh says:

Good article. reason I always use to ask if any of us would put everything into the club if they were owners.
    It’s a bottomless pit.AW has been our saviour.imo

  25. goonster says:

I see us winning the league next season and progressing to the last 4 in the cl. You heard it here first.

  26. goonster says:

Ts lol don’t let lee see that last statement. Wenger has been great but a savior? ? Come on man. Lol. Am not an arsene wenger out brigade type person but I believe he let us down in some ways. We could have done better if he listened and addressed our concerns but he didn’t.

  27. goonster says:

The one that springs to mind is the shwarzer debacle. Fulham wanted 4 mill we need a keeper yet arsene dilly dallied till we lost out. He was only going to pay 2 mill. I still scratch my head whenever I remember that. I just don’t get it.

  28. goonster says:

Ts the board have sold our best players to the rival 3 years running. What ll you do in his shoes?? Stick around? ? Come on man. I never said arsene didn’t do great am just saying a savior he’s not.

  29. goonster says:

I wish he could hang around till arsene’s contract runs out. Then him and reus unveiled the same day. Oh boy what a day that ll be.

  30. goonster says:

It could actually happen. He could take a 2 year sabbatical only to return when wenger retires. Oh happy day 😀

  31. Joe says:

If we send Jenks out on lone again he will leave the club the only way to hang on to both is to rotate the loans of Hector and Jenks till Debuchy leaves in a couple of years.

  32. rico says:

    🙂 Andrew – I get that as I’m pretty much the same….

I love animals more than most humans…. A statement which can be taken two ways…..

But what I really mean is I love animals more than humans….

  33. goonster says:

Gee rico you love animals more than lost people well who doesnt? I love eating them more then I love eating people 😀

  34. andrewh1313 says:

Well last night I hated Keane again! We are looking through old VHS/DVDR videos, wondering whether to transfer to digital files and keep, or just throw away. Anyway I had 15 minutes of Man Utd v Arsenal highlights and you wouldn’t believe the challenges going in. I lived through the game all again, that lovely Mr Keane, Nistelrooy and Scoles vs our Viera, Pires and Keown! I expected it to be the Viera sending off game but it wasn’t. Giggs went past Seaman and with an open goal hammered it over the bar, hilarious. Then Edu and Wiltord scored and we knocked them out the FA Cup ……sounds familiar. Looked it up on net and it was 2003, apparently we rested Bergkamp and Henry and played Jeffers!!!!!

  35. rico says:

🙂 Andrew, I did say after he quit the game…

He was a nasty, horrid player. A real git! They all were under Fergie when it came to playing us after Wenger arrived and we started beating them. The only way they could get back was to kick Reyes, bribe the ref and cheat……

And boy did I love the rvn penalty miss, what followed was great…. 😉

  36. goonster says:

Lol rico the best part of that fame wad seeing Lauren grab that coont face Phil Neville by the throat. I still have that picture. I smile everytime I see it. Priceless arsenal memorabilia

  37. rico says:

And Keown for me Stan. In fact the entire togetherness was awesome. We need that back and I think we are getting there….

  38. goonster says:

Yes maam we re almost there lecoq and wilshere has it. Need someone else to step up to the plate. Ozil ramsey theo mert kozzer are all too soft. Gabriel looks like a beast though can’t wait till he starts speaking English. God in heaven the arsenal are back.

  39. goonster says:

We need a big bone crushing bastard in the middle of the park. Someone to scare the opposition shitless.

  40. goonster says:

Hahahahah Andrew thanks for the tip I just saw that on YouTube giggs missed with only the goal to beat arsenal scored via a free kick deflected by a scummer can’t remember who then wiltord scored the winner. What a game. If I could remember vidvly it was after this game ferguscoont kicked a boot into Beckham’s face. Hahahahahahah I love it I love it I love it.

  41. goonster says:

Ditto rico when he gets a grasp of the English language trust me there ll be hell to pay. Can’t wait.

  42. Micko says:

And if you can’t be good be careful !

rico, I have no doubt you’ll come back as a reincarnated rotti !

No coincidence there’s so many animal lovers and smiley spastic’s on here !!!

As for Almunia he had my heart in my mouth more times than I care to remember lol.

  43. Micko says:

tsgh, if your looking for Cabaye tonite there were some very strange noises coming from Xavi’s back pocket earlier lol.

  44. goonster says:

Lol micko you numnuts. Smiley spastics Hahahahahaha Gambon is a first class tosser. Bless his heart. 😀

  45. Micko says:

Stan, I’ve got an early start in the morning, catch you tomorrow, take care on the road matey ! Up the Gooners.

  46. Joe says:

Morning everyone, nice day here sun shining brightly what idiot decided to play Arsenals FA cup match at the same time as Chelsea V Manu.

  47. tsgh says:

    Good morning Lovely people…

Micko, indeed, Cabaye struggled last night… he looked very rusty.
Goes to show how important Thiago Silva is ; Luiz is just a huge liability..

Oh but Rakitic is a poor football specimen; I know he looks like a stalker but…
