Emirates Visit Could Secure First Signing… Big Day For Alexis….

Morning all.

Birthday Boy....
Birthday Boy….

Only one place to start and that’s with Alexis Sanchez. He’s 26 years old today so a big Happy Birthday to him and on this day back in 1970, Arsenal beat Man U 3-1 at Old Trafford with goals from McLintock, Graham & Kennedy.. Happy Days and a great double winning season…

Well it seems like a deal for the highly-rated Polish youngster, Krystian Bielik is very close to being concluded. Hey, even Wikipedia have him down as being an Arsenal player… Yes I know, that site is easy to edit and change things..

Apparently, the player has already been shown around the facilities at London Colney and as long as his parents are happy, a deal will be done. Both he and his folks are reportedly to be in London over Christmas and will be at The Emirates on Boxing Day when we take on Qpr…

The disappointing part of all this is he’s only 16 years old, 17 next month, but the positive side is he’s a young Defensive Midfielder, who has by many been compared to Patrick Vieira, and it could be a sign that Arsene Wenger hasn’t lost his touch when it comes to scouting/signing young players who may just turn out to be mustard. If all of this turns out to be true, in a couple of years we could reap the rewards from this signing and at least he’s 6′ 2″! We need a bit of height in our midfield don’t we?

It’s all well and good looking to the future and I’m not knocking any signings for the Academy but I do hope that as much commitment is being given to the first team this January. We need a couple of defensive signings, ones who will make a difference to the here and now, players who will walk straight into the first team and make us stronger. If that dumps other players on the bench, then so be it, tough!

Talking of defensive players who are tall and err, strong, still no sign of Abou Diaby returning – such a shame….

However, Theo Walcott could be back for Saturday which is very welcome new, if he’s passed fit I doubt he’ll start but a nice little cameo at the end of the game with a goal would do us all the world of good. It’s also expected that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will pass a late fitness test tomorrow. Good, he’s been better of late, much better. Calum Chambers returns  after serving his one match suspension and Nacho Monreal could join him.

As always with us though, we have injuries, key injuries! Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta all remain on the list of players who miss out.

That’s it from me, six more sleeps….

Have a good Friday and if it’s your office party tonight, behave…. 🙂

I gave it a bit of a nudge last night…..finished at a Chinese dentist this morning! Mouth like one of Ghandi’s sandals……. actually more like the bottom of a parrot’s cage! Feel shite……

Interesting to hear Wenger reminiscing about last seasons calamitous visit to Anfield and death of any lingering hopes we held, for a sustained title challenge…

I wonder if our players have the ‘fcuk you’ mentality that’ll make them wanna go out and get the required pay-back?

Or whether they’ll succumb like a bunch of pussies as soon as Liverpool put us under any pressure…

BFG owes us a massive game at that shithole…

As does the rest of those who blew out last season at the ‘Home of Scouse Bullshit’…

Bbc web site poll has us winning, 77% to beat dippy shites and 23% think that they will repeat last year’s narrow victory!

    Sarasota = as roast!
Now that might be a solution!

See Sir no goals is up for loan in January…. Only because the club can’t find someone to pay good money for him! I mean why would they?
If I were Arsenal I’d give him away as an unwanted Christmas present!
Sorry not very charitable of me……..there’s a new year resolution in there somewhere, I think?

Back to the post for a moment.
Diaby, I reckon he will make one appearance this year…………the final game of the season, assuming there’s nothing riding on it, he will be a very late substitute, last five minutes, heavy tackle, keel over, stretchered off, arm in the air waving to all his fan! Sadly never to be seen again. But he will get a standing ovation from the crowd whist on their feet shouting ‘that’s the way to do it’, standing that is!!

Ho, ho, ho, Santa Claus is coming to town!

I was chatting to a French football agent, a couple of evenings ago…

He was on his way to a ‘meeting’ at Stamford Bridge…

He reckons that Sanogo is a great player… 😐

He then said that he thinks that Wenger will do some business this January…

Of course, he could have been a purveyor of merde de bull….

    Evening Rico and the house.
    Where have everyone been today.
I see Niles has been left out of the youth team in the cup game against Reading. Means he is with the squad against the Pool.

Christmas shopping I suppose , Rick . My 20 minute regular journey through Norwich today took 1 1/4 hours. Volume of traffic . Still I wonder how many people will finish tonight and be off till new year.

FullTime 1-0. Reading miss penalty with the last kick of the match.
This is the first win since Sepy 27th (8games) for the U18.
Next round home to Royston in Jan.
    Night H/H

This is grand daughter’s first real christmas being 18 months and my wife has been waiting a long time for this. I don’t remember seeing so many parcels , still loads of boxes for her to play with on boxing day . I have had to take the rear seats out of the Ford galaxy this morning so that we can get them and mother in laws mobility scooter in . I should have rented a removal van.
