Double Injury Boost. Henry Quits But Will He Head Home?

Morning all.

Mathieu Debuchy is back and ready to return to training.

Speaking to L’Equipe, he said:

I think I’ll resume group training next week. I’ve been sidelined for ten weeks, but it should go pretty fast from now on. The goal is to be fit for the end of the year with a view to playing on Boxing Day, or even a little before.

What a huge boost to the team his return will be. Perhaps Arsene Wenger will give Merts or Chambers a day off then….

Another boost is the news that Morgan Schneiderlin will miss tomorrows match. Southampton were a different side against Man City once he had to go off but I hope it’s not a long term injury for him though as he needs to be back to face Chelsea at the end of this month and help his side knock the dwarf off his perch! And of course help us in the process as we don’t want that West London side going the entire season unbeaten do we! Losing such an influential player could a huge disadvantage for Southampton and when such a key figure is missing, that loss can have a knock-on effect on the other players. Let’s hope so anyway.

We used to struggle a bit whenever Thierry Henry was injured, I know I hated it when he was out injured, especially during his latter years when there was little behind him in the squad.

His playing days seem to be finally over now after his grand announcement yesterday:

I am taking this opportunity to announce that unfortunately Saturday was my last game for the New York Red Bulls.

The decision has always been that I would leave after the duration of my contract and although that was never going to change, I didn’t want it to distract from the progress of the team.

You guys have really meant a lot to me and thank you for all your wonderful support.

I will now take the next few weeks to reflect and decide on the next chapter of my career. Thank you all

How lucky were we to have had him at the club for so many years eh? 228 goals in eight seasons, what a stunning player he was…..

There’s been a lot of speculation over where Henry’s future will be with a return to Arsenal topping the lot and after announcing his retirement and changing his Facebook photo image to a picture of The Emirates Stadium including his statue, that speculation has upped a gear….

Will Thierry come home?

I sure hope so because you never know, Arsene Wenger might just listen to him…….

Have a good Tuesday all….

“He is an Arsenal man. The best moment certainly of his life and of his career has been experienced here,” Wenger said at a press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Barclays Premier League encounter against Southampton on Wednesday.

“Certainly one day he will come back here. In what role I don’t know, that is what he has to think about: what direction he wants to give to his next life.”

I see that Hill-Wood has has a say regarding the banner at West Brom…

Yes Peter Hill-Wood, the man that hired Bruce Rioch instead of Arsene Wenger, who David Dein was pushing for…
And now tries to claim that ‘he’ hired Wenger…

And that same Peter Hill-Wood who was disparaging about Stan Kroenke…
And then sold his arse to the same ‘sort’…

An Eton educated hypocrite of the highest order and most certainly not decent at all…

Or, as they say down Liverpool Road, an effin old tosser…

I see Lee more in the mould of Finney on the wing, whilst Adam would be the perfect Charles Charlie Charles as he is so decent… 😀

Don’t know why but I said this before when you changed the site layout it changed my name to Joe so I left it.

Broken record time Wenger says the reason for Monreal’s injury on Saturday was from a bad kick another impact injury not given as a free kick.

  12. allezkev says:

So, Wenger thinks that he can win the EPL before his current contract expires in 2017.

Well yes, I suppose he can, if he spends about £150million and changes his Coaching staff and let’s them do the bloody coaching, prioritising defensive organisation…

    Otherwise, dream on Arsene….

  13. Lee says:

    Morning brudder and all…
Win the PL? What the fuck has he been smoking? Wenger’s a busted flush….we need to be able to beat the chavs, citeh, manure etc before that happens and his track record against them so far is disgraceful! Those fucking referees have got a lot to answer for!!!

  14. rico says:

Morning Adam, Lee, Kev and all…

I could have sworn Monreal pulled up after trying some fancy flick and bumping into the player…
