Did Arsene Fib To Alexis? The Mistakes Have Been Rectified….

Poppies

Morning all.

The RvP story made me smile, poor old chap was lied to by Fergie. Our old captain was enticed away from Arsenal by The Utd manager because he was a winner and the old badger was assured that Fergie would remain at Utd for three years.

One season later, Fergie quit and RvP was left smarting. Especially when he found himself being managed by David Moyes.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t give a hoot but when I read the story but straight away I hoped that Arsene Wenger has done the same with Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck….

The thought of our manager honouring his three year contract is quite worrying for me….

But it doesn’t matter what I or anyone else thinks about our manager, he’s made that quite clear:

These debates that I hear are a joke, a farce. People who have managed altogether zero games, they teach everybody how you should behave. It’s a farce.

If I really cared, do you think I would have survived for 18 years?

Perhaps that’s his problem. If he’d listen and take on board what others say sometimes, we’d not be in the situation we are in now. There are many wise people in the world of football both on and off of the television and a vast percentage are thinking, if not saying the same as Paul Merson. Not many pundits have managed a football team in their life but many have played the game at a very high level. They know the game inside out, not by teaching it but by being taught.

And to be honest, one doesn’t have to be a master tactician of the game to see we have glaring gaps in midfield and defence and as a team we look disorganised and vulnerable every time the opposition head towards our goal.

Regardless of the score you have to play the right way: you have to defend well and attack well. Why should you stop playing one aspect of the game?

No Arsene, not always. Sometimes you have to sit back, defend well and ensure you keep what you have on the board, not go bombing up the pitch in search of more goals only to be hit on the break and hit hard…..

Did he tear into the players on Tuesday night:

I didn’t criticise them, I rectified their mistakes.

It’s not exactly the same. I don’t tell them, ‘You’re absolute idiots’. I ask them ‘What should you have done there?

I wonder who raised their hand first to answer that question! As for rectifying the mistakes, this wasn’t a one off, this kind of shoddy stuff has been played out time and time again so clearly whatever Arsene Wenger is telling them, isn’t sinking in!

Swansea away today, a side who are quite strong at home. In fact only Southampton have won at the Liberty Stadium, a narrow 1-0. They’ll be up for this game that’s for sure and in front of their own fans they’ll want to impress. Last weekend they held a strong Everton side to goalless draw at Goodison which suggests it’ll be a tough afternoon for our striking force.

It could be a tough afternoon for the defence too with Wilfried Bony on a good run of scoring. Four in four matches I read but if we defend well and the midfield stop the supply to him, then he won’t be a problem. Corners and set-pieces, Merts needs to stick to him like glue and not let him get his head onto anything.

Fabianski is in their goal. Wenger should know his weaknesses, the players should do too, exploit them. Test him early and put him under pressure, otherwise he’ll settle and perform well.

Alexis Sanchez is on fire, he can’t stop scoring and hopefully that will continue today. It would be nice if a few others chipped in for a change, Danny Welbeck could do with finding the back of the net that’s for sure.

Arsene Wenger says he will improve our performances, well let’s hope that he and the players step up their game and that improvement starts today because if it doesn’t, we’ll get little or nothing from this match.

COYRRG’s…

That’s it for today, have a good Sunday….

Wenger talks more nonsense than anyone in football, this dig at his critics as being people who have never managed a day in football is pathetic. He never played the game at the highest level himself, along with some other managers, but this doesn’t mean that they can’t coach players who do do. Anyone can see that he neglected to sign another centre back last summer and that his midfield is too weak physically and his tactics are one dimensional. He gets away with these deficiencies, against lower class opponents, but always comes up short against the top sides. This is the reason why he has never won anything in Europe and never will do. You don’t need to be an ex-football manager to be able to work that out.

  2. Danish Gooner says:

OMG what are terrible self important and arrogant Geezer this Wenger have turned out to be,no Wonder we never Progress with that kind of man in the driving seat.

  3. scottfromoz says:

    Morning all.
    Strong win is required today.
As long as we work hard and EVERY player accepts defensive responsibility, we will win.

  4. Danish Gooner says:

“I rectified their mistakes” it must be the worst and most arrogant comment i have ever heard a manager speak. What a twat,he really is starting to rile me every time he speaks.OMG he is so arrogant it has gone to his head,he is worse then Maureen and that takes a lot.

  5. scottfromoz says:

Seriously, WTF is arrogant about that, Danish??
Abuse and criticise all you like, but why make shit up?
He answered a question, and you’ve twisted it to make something out of nothing.

  6. scottfromoz says:

Why is it we spend so much time discussing our manager?
Most are adamant he has total control, and is a control freak, egotistical and, as Danish just suggested, arrogant.
Blogs, forums, facebook pages all whinge about him! yet spend more time discussing him than the entire club.
Let’s ban his name for a week 🙂

  7. sam says:

I’m not saying the team and manager don’t deserve criticism, but our fans help nothing with their constant whinging and negativity. I know we have had a tough time over the last few years, but we have a lot to be proud of in that team. If everyone got together behind them it might give them the extra percent of mentality they clearly require. Stop moaning all the time basically

  8. rico says:

Well he certainly won’t have rectified their mistakes Scott, like I said yesterday, Tuesdays horror show was not the first time we have seen us collapse…

But I certainly hope we see a much more organised performance today…

  9. scottfromoz says:

Rico, I never suggested he’s not arrogant, but that was not an arrogant comment at all.
Chambers with Merts in the middle??

  10. Adam says:

Perhaps you only find out how good a manager is when the going gets tough.
The players must surely shoulder some of the blame but Wenger gets most of the crap. Unfairly sometimes I think.

  11. scottfromoz says:

Adam, no doubt he earns criticism, but gee, people don’t miss him lol.
Still, I concede at 8 million a year, his shoulders should be big enough to cope.

  12. scottfromoz says:

    For sure, Adam.
Some of the more personal insults have been an absolute disgrace, but I reckon he’d hate seeing Arsenal perform so poorly on the pitch, and then there is the media………
He’s copping it on all fronts, and is most definitely struggling for answers, which is a shame.

  13. rico says:

If watching us play so poorly hurts him, why does he allow it to continue?

Why not sign a Cdm back in the summer, why not sign a defender to replace Vermaelen?

Unless someone tells me he wasn’t given money to do so, then surely all that comes flying his way is brought on by himself…

  14. scottfromoz says:

    I’m off guys.
If I CAN catch a decent kip, I’ll be up for the game.
3am Monday morning kick offs absolutely suck!!
    Enjoy the victory, everyone 🙂

  15. goonster says:

Oh Lord God help me. Somebody gag that old french goat. He’s so infuriating it’s beginning to stick in my craw. Scotty oz am sorry man but I have to agree with danish gooner. Wenger is an arrogant coont. God am so angry.

  16. goonster says:

Morning adam he’s got a very thick “whale” skin. Nothing gets through to that gnarled old twat. Listen to him saying if he cares what people think he won’t be here for 18 years. Who talks like that when his team just blew a 3 goal advantage??

  17. goonster says:

He’s so stale he’s stinking up the whole place. I hit the mute button whenever he comes on air. I know what to expect hence don’t bother to listen. I can’t stand him rico. He’s lost all the respect I once had for him. The sooner he fucks off the better. What a fungus infected toe nail. Grrr

  18. goonster says:

I may not have supported arsenal for more than 20 years but I ll bet we ve never seen a mode divisive manager than wenger. Most gooners I come across lately have developed a syndrome I dubbed “arsenal apathy. Most don’t give a fuck any more. Some of them have stopped watching altogether. It’s a shame. He’s ruining our beloved club.

  19. goonster says:

Rico you have no idea….I woke up feeling miserable only for me to come on here and read what le twat said. He just riled me to different level right now. Am so angry.

  20. rico says:

Goonie, the ruin starts before Arsene Wenger, Kroenke and the board have a lot to answer for.

But then we have been there many times…..

    Calm down Stan….

  21. Danish Gooner says:

First Robson, then Merson and Hamann they are slowly starting to realize The Emperor has got no clothes on.

  22. rico says:

But they know what the game is about Adam…

Many of us here think Wenger is getting things wrong and criticise his tactics etc but none of us are giants of football management…

Merson etc just happen to have a voice which gets heard publicly…

  23. tsgh says:

Good afternoon Rico, Scott and fellow HHers…
    Good read Rico…
Now why would Monsieur AW fib to Alexis? 😀 😀 😛

    Oz long time Sir?

  24. Judge me in May says:

    Great post rico,
Exactly what I feel about the state of affairs at arsenal right now..
    It’s all been said already..
Wenger has become so arrogant and deluded it’s tragic..
I don’t like merson but he said it as it is.. Tactically clueless..
We may despite the likes of piers Morgan, Robson or the talkshite ginger bread,  but in reality they all make valid criticism towards Wenger as many bloggers here do as well…
Some may admit all his faults and shortcomings, but still subconsciously worship him like God.. It’s like a cult…
Hope for a good performance and result today

  25. goonster says:

Pretty good my man….Arsene keeps pissing me off. It’s great to hear from you ts. Wondered if you a space alien kidnapped you or something. Lol

  26. Danish Gooner says:

Only been a fan since the Terry Neill days and watched about 2000 Arsenal games but not a single day in football management still i am able to smell a fuck up when it happens.90 minutes he stood on the touchline and did nothing against Anderlecht so how about rectifing mistakes when your team is playing and not when you are answering a question you petulant child ,you are afterall paid 9 mil plus to serve up this rubbish.

  27. BT62 Gooner says:

Rico, Chambers and Merts as our CB’s, Merts to move to left hand side, sends shivers down my spine….

  28. goonster says:

Hahahahahahhaha the toots just can’t buy a win at the shithole. I must say the orcs look a handful. Bojan and moses ll stretch any defense.

  29. goonster says:

Bt when I saw that line up I lost it. Seriously how long ll you London gooners sit idle and do nothing? This man is taking us all for a ride. God am so angry. How does he still have a job?? You London fans irk me. Lord God in heaven. Grrrr

  30. goonster says:

Seriously I ve lost all my verve for arsenal. Wenger has succeeded in killing my arsenal fire. All I feel right now is apathy. Game day?? What game?

  31. tsgh says:

Dev. this team is a joke…
Fingers crossed we score the first goal but the way I see this game. the first goal might win the match…
I do not think I have lost as much interest in football since I ever got into football…

  32. Mr Wath says:

Well how amazing, our esteemed know it all manager says we switched off on Tuesday and were a little tired and fatigued and surprise surprise plays the same fucking team as Tuesday….
No Campbell on the bench yet the French postman is there, farcical…..

  33. goonster says:

Dev you said it….These are full internationals. It’s the limp noodle on the sidelines that’s the main problem.

  34. tsgh says:

Lol Dev… I am slowly but surely beginning to concede you folks were right all along… 😉
I know folks on here like Chambers; I know he is young and all but I must admit after preseason he has had 2 or 3 good games only…

The kid is obviously not a rb but AW will persist whilst Bellerin loses his last bit of self belief left…

  35. goonster says:

What happened to santi?? He looks so poor I wanna cry. I think he needs a break from thr first team to find his form. Tr7 should start till santi regains his form. Can’t believe am looking at the same player.

  36. Judge me in May says:

It’s not chambers fault that he is played every single game right and centre..
for his tender and inexperienced football life, he would struggle, any player would..
he is probably physically and mentally exhausted..
Blame the man who put him and the whole club in this dire situation
    COYRGS

  37. goonster says:

Take chambers off you twit….he’s getting skinned alive. He’s no right back you old french dickhead. God help me.

  38. goonster says:

Rico he’s going to ruin him like he did senderos. He needs to come off. He’s on a yellow card plus monteto is having a field day with him.

  39. goonster says:

Montero had been running this kid raged all night yet the French coont sits on his flat gnarled ads and does nothing. He needs to go. Simple ad that.

  40. scottfromoz says:

At 1-0 we were trying to play out through traffic from the back?
    Why?
There is no reason whatsoever to do so.

  41. Judge me in May says:

    Same shit..
After we scored a brilliant goal… Ramsey gave the ball away and the counter attack was on.. Gibbs commit a foul and they scored from the free kick..
After We shit in our pants and from the first cross yes you guessed it chambers got skinned again, their sub scores…
Can scezney make any decent save!? Sometimes I wonder

  42. goonster says:

How long London gooners….how long. Am looking at you adam lee ak micko rocky ts….Am looking at you guys. How long?

  43. goonster says:

Andreh h I saw that statistics and I flinched. We not succeeded in beating a top half team this season. We haven’t. It’s outrageous.

  44. Joaquim Moreira says:

I must repeat the same words again….
    Why chambers play at RB?
Why we have at the bench, repeeating players with equal characterits ?
Why AW didn’t organize the team after the 0-1?
Why he diidn’t see our midfield his broken?
Why we made the subs always too late and when we are in defeat?
Fixture conclusion: a) Chelsea will be the league champion (I say: in December, probably have more then 10 points then the others)
    b) we must fight for the 4th place…

  45. Vonnie says:

Hello Rico and everyone in the House today. I switched that off when the equaliser went in, because their winner was coming and Wenger was watching it all unravel without doing a thing, as usual. I wanted him gone three years ago and nothing has changed, he’s totally useless. Which brings me to Steve Bould, can anyone tell me what he actually does except collect his fat paycheck and say yes to Arsene Wenger?
I’m really starting to wish I never fell in love with Arsenal.

  46. dublingunner says:

evening, I can,t even post these days, because i truly don,t have anything good to say about Arsenal football club, The frustrating thing is, this defeat means absolutely nothing to Wenger and the board. He ,ll be allowed to continue on and spout more bullshit, That i don,t listen to anymore, Above all when will the AKB supporters, ever wake the fuck up. and stop dfending this man.

  47. Lee says:

The bloke is so out of his depth it’s embarrassing, just watching him sitting there doing fuck all! Why not rectify Chambers getting his are handed to him? There are so many questions BUT we’ll just get the standard wenger responses! Your time is up please just fuck off you arrogant man.
Watching arsenal is bad for your health……

  48. kel says:

Disgusted at that result, chambers getting skinned the warning signs where there… Bring bellerin on tell him to double up on the right side… tactics you old fool…

But sure he’s managed 2000 games and knows Everything, sitting there rocking back n forth fuckin daydreaming.

2000 game’s and still defensively weak tells me you’re a clueless idiot.

  49. Micko says:

Dublin, get to the back of the queue.

rico, I have to keep entering my details each time I post, you need to sort your act out as well lol.

  50. goonster says:

Hahahahahahahahahahahahah I just Listened to his interview. What a dope. He needs to visit a psychiatrist. He’s so out of touch with reality.

  51. Lee says:

Apparently it was something to do with the wrong type of rain…..that’s the reason why we were totally shit today!
They’ll be some social media posting from some of our over paid average footballers saying that we’ve learnt from our mistakes! Wasn’t this supposed to be an easy run of matches? 4 points from 9 Chelsea must be shitting themselves!!!
    Wenger out!

  52. tsgh says:

Craig Bellamy makes a lot of sense for an on the field ‘thug’.
This team has regressed… even with the addition of Alexis..
typical 1 step forard 2 steps back illusion…

I feel sorry for my old friend Monsieur Wenger…

  53. Lee says:

Scott, no Campbell near the squad, no Podolski brought on! No i’ll tell you what i’ll bring on a bloke that could trap a bag of sand and has the touch of a rapist! It’s fucking criminal what he is being allowed to get away with…..and nothing will be done!! I’m really over it……

  54. scottfromoz says:

NG, that’s where is start as well.
    Lee, I have no explaination.
I can’t even dream up a reason Sanogo would come on.

  55. rico says:

    I don’t Ts, he’s brought it all on himself…

Like everyone else has said, watching Chambers time and time again get beaten down the right, he did nothing… And totally agree, why the heck was Campbell not on the bench and when we need a goal, the guy who hasn’t scored one PL goal gets the nod over a German international.

    Ridiculous…

  56. Wavy says:

    Wenger’s excuse:

“Football is down to performances. People can say what they want. We are here to produce performances, and didn’t do that right until the end of the game.”

    What a drama queen!
But what the fuck does it mean?

You know dementia is a terrible, terrible affliction but I think our favourite Frenchman has got a dose of it! Will medicinal potion help, sadly not!
Every dog has its day and we, the caring humans take the afflicted pet to the vet to have them peacefully and painlessly put down. Whatt should happen to our petit ami?
I’ll leave you to decide, but my mind is made up!

Shameful…….again! How many more pathetic performances and disappointments are we going to have to suffer before the penny drops?

  57. scottfromoz says:

    NG, he doesn’t care.
Profits are his only care, and if that is the attitude with the big man, it’s impossible to change that culture down the line.

  58. Nashua Gunner says:

Sorry but I know of you must have seen this…

Terry Venables column: Arsenal need a complete change of mentality – it’s the only solution

It was another demoralising night for Arsenal on Tuesday and they have a big game at Swansea City today. I must say that I cannot see any chance of success for Arsenal until they have a complete change of mentality at the club.

    LIVE: SWANSEA VS ARSENAL LATEST

This isn’t about quality – Arsenal have enough of that – it is about leadership and winning, it is about the serious grown-up side of the game. And Arsenal just cannot do it. They exude that bad vibe.

Teams at the very top level, where Arsenal aspire to be, they can score goals and they can play good football. But they can also keep the ball, finish the game off and not let their opponents back in. If you know what you’re doing, it should be game over. On Tuesday Arsenal were 3-0 up and yet they could not kill off the game. And they paid the price.

This is a long way from the old Arsenal era. Players like David Seaman, Tony Adams, Steve Bould and Nigel Winterburn, they knew how to kill off games. It didn’t have to be 2-0 or 3-0, because they could win the game at 1-0. That is the art. Like anything, you have got to get into good habits. Those Arsenal teams had a good habit of winning football matches. This one does not.

    Arsenal’s injury list

I know what Seaman and Adams were like, their high standards and their absolute commitment to defending and winning. I remember being in England dressing-rooms, 90 minutes after the game had finished, when the other lads had changed and gone, and Adams and Seaman would still be there arguing about the details of a goal they had conceded.

The whole thing is about team ethic. You have to be prepared to run all day and all night. I am not interested in beautiful cameos. I am not interested in stars – they only come out at night. Football at the top level is a real, grown-up business. Good individuals have to be team players. If you just want to play football for fun, go and play it in the park.

Being tough doesn’t mean fouling. It means leading. Everyone knows that Arsenal have the quality. But those players have to lead from the front, stand up and be counted. They have to impose themselves on the start of games, show that they mean business in the first 20 minutes. If you have someone under the cosh you do not let them out of it. And then once ahead you see the game out from that.

    Andrew,
I just asked a guy on FB why he’d feel sorry for a man earning 100k a week.
    Sounds strange to me.

  60. rico says:

    AW:

“We were not in too much trouble, we had the best chances, it is a place that is always tight and it was a very tactical game.”

    Tactics???

  61. Nashua Gunner says:

    How are things T?

AW job is secured. When we start telling SK that 4th is not good enough for Arsenal, maybe, he might call AW aside and start serious talks with him.

This was not what those shareholders who sold their shares to SK had in mind.

  62. Nashua Gunner says:

Hi Rico. I can’t agreed with you more. If we lived by example, all we’ve to do is look at his other franchises. When was the last time any of them won anything?

Come May we’ll fight for 4th and all will be forgiven.

  63. AndrewH says:

Scott, you can see that for Sanchez, winning is on his mind, he cares, money is secondary. Reports say he loves training, does not want recovery days, loves the game. Shame that can’t be said for some others. You don’t say that anyone rich doesn’t deserve happiness when they give their all. How many give 100% every game in our team?

  64. Wavy says:

Rico, he did I lifted the quote directly from the BBC web site.

His summary of the games, the players and the conditions are seriously bizarre lately. His behaviour in the dugout is inert, and his contribution to the “team” effort is nill. £8m a year? Not only is it obscene it is also tantamount to fraud, theft and deception!

Another wretched week until more of the same in two weeks! Blimey, I can’t wait!

  65. potter says:

The shareholders that sold us down the river didn’t care one jot . They got their cash from their inheritances and kept their places in the boardroom. Arsenal were just a bonus in their later life . Danny Fiszman sold and wanted Kroenke purely to keep Dein out of the club and did us a great disservice persuading Bracewell Smith to back him rather than go down the Usmanov route something she now regrets. I have no time for any of them. This club needs a new broom from top to bottom . It’s run like an Eton old boys club with a Baron Pierre de Coubertin, attitude .
Strangely after today’s match my son said there’s nothing new to say , we have said it all before. We walked home , not even visibly upset.

  66. ljb says:

That 5th gen will be banned for daring to speak out .I was banned yonks ago so I used my other halves e mail and IP,but that Atwood would me up SO much by saying all those who want Wenger out are unemployed that I called him a despicable snob and blew it again .There’s a guy on there ,jon from wellington and I’m positive he is taking the piss and they haven’t cottoned on,tee hee.

  67. Wath says:

I think for what Wenger has done he deserves the respect of not being insulted or called nasty names BUT the time has now come that he must show us the respect that we deserve and he must get the fuck out of our club……!

The same fans spouting who is there to replace him are as scared of change as he is past it…. Is Wenger the future….? the answer is categorically NO……………. Anyone that answers yes is a certified fruit loop…!

There are many managers I think would organise the same players we have into a better unit. We lack balance leadership and fight yes we have many quality players so the leadership from the manager and staff is succinctly missing…!

time for change and it needs to happen soon…. Mass disorder is needed….! The fans need to get off their arses and do something it’s as simple as that.

  68. scottfromoz says:

Andrew, I don’t remember saying he doesn’t deserve happiness, did I?
Not too many feel sorry for Wenger and often spout off using his salary as a reason to show no sympathy, so of it’s good for one………
100k a week for playing or managing a game?
Sorry if I seem hard in my lack of sympathy when they lose a game.
There are others earning a hell of a lot less that put in as well.
I don’t buy this idea that Sanchez is the only one having a crack.
Others do, they’re just not as good or in some cases, not good enough.
Sanchez is brilliant and a gem for us, but he is paying paid bloody well for what he does, so let’s not lose sight of that.

  69. Wath says:

U want a tutti fruity Micko…. ya loop fruit 😉

Bt, along those lines mate yep….! Bad press makes people in high places cringe…!

  70. Lee says:

Still we’ve signed Brooklyn Beckham that should really help us out! The club is a fucking joke managed by a clueless clown!

  71. Lee says:

Back of one of the tabloids wenger has told Mourinho that the title is his….like we were ever going to win it with Clouseau at the helm! Please just do one!

  72. Lee says:

The sad thing is I don’t even get any enjoyment watching this bunch of losers managed by one of the most annoying managers on the planet. I’m losing all respect I had for the bloke, he seems hell bent on tarnishing his early years! Still reeling at the fact he’s been paid £70m since we last won the PL…………. and if he lasts his contract (God forbid) it’ll be close to £100m!!!
    Morning Rico,brudders and all.

  73. rico says:

Me neither Lee, I’ve got to the point where I don’t even expect us to win.

Going forward we have a lot of really good players and at times that was clear to see but we still aren’t clinical in front of goal.

And as for the defending set-up, including the midfield players in that, we really are Sunday league..

Arsene has to do the right thing and soon, we cannot carry on like this….

  74. scottfromoz says:

    What a horrid day.
Up at 3 for kick off, and worked all day, so I’m running in two cylinders at present.
Of all the issues, all the criticism people have for the man and the strange things he’s done, I’d love to ask Arsene one question……why Sanogo????
I’ve stewed on it all day and there is not a single reason that is for the benefit of the team to use him Instead of Podolski.
Im still amazed at that call.

  75. Wath says:

How dare you ask me Scott, have you ever managed a game in your life… who are you to ask me such a question… I have managed 2000 games don’t you know and if I pick Sanogo it is not up to you to ask me why… Now go away watch the tv and support my team and never question me again….!

    Think that resolves that question…..

  76. scottfromoz says:

    Sorry for asking, Wath 🙂
Honestly, that single act did more to harm my opinion of him than any other 100 he’s made.
    It was simply unforgivable.

  77. Wath says:

He’ll probably tell you to stick to Aussie rules as well Scott…..!
The postman ain’t scored a competitive goal for Arsenal yet Poldi is left on the bench Campbell don’t even make the bench and he brings that lamp post on to save the game….!

    Says it all.

You looking at me Lee…………….. Leave it…!

  78. scottfromoz says:

    Sanogo has ability.
He’s nowhere near good enough for us, but MIGHT be someday.
    Podolski is proven.
Yes I’m saying it again but I’m also shaking my head again.

  79. Lee says:

Untold is fucking comedy gold……you’ve got to have a read! They must have a serious stash of Walter White’s gear…………….

  80. frednerk says:

    Morning All,
What a S.A.D. sight for sore eyes poor old wengers looks, everyone in the world can see whats wrong.
We seem to be at the point where the football has become second to how much more bull-sh#t,
we can take from a man who has now lost even the most loyal of his fans.

  81. Wath says:

Seems there are still quite a few walking round with paper bags over their heads Fred and supporting him no matter what…! Makes you actually wonder if they support Arsenal Football Club or just Wenger…?

  82. rico says:

Just been having a read Bt, I see Dowd is at fault for not sending off Williams… 😉

Wonder if they saw Chambers shove early on…. lol

  83. BT62 Gooner says:

Rico, the last one i read, “my support of Arsenal and faith in Arsene Wenger will never be shaken.” says it all…..

  84. Lee says:

Thanks Walter. Your perspective helps. No use crying over spilt milk. This game is gone. The next game is just around the corner, and more of the guys will return from injury. We will hit our rhythm soon and go on a run. Today we lost and it’s so predictable that some will pick up their favourite line, ‘Wenger out’. But I find that so boring. Wenger messed up in his tactics and substitutions. So what? He’s not perfect, but then , who is? Look what’s happening to Man U. We are still a team in the process and we are not doing too badly. We’ll bounce back. I know will.

  85. Lee says:

MY LAST ONE ………..”I am not advocating we sack Wenger and I still say he is the best manager in the league but to start a season with that defence was criminal.”

  86. frednerk says:

Wengers now thinks nobody can catch the chavs..
has he given up………………….will he now commit suicide.
    …………………………….Only Joking.

  87. potter says:

I have tried to post there 3 times since the Swansea match finished , I have not been rude to anyone , I have not sworn , all i have done is ask pertinent questions about the tactics employed and asked certain other posters to enlarge on their defence of their man and invited a debate. However none of them have been posted , so I assume that I am now on their blacklist. It’s a shame because some of their stuff on the PGMOL and UEFA and FIFA make for interesting reading. However what ever you do don’t touch Wenger or they just turn their backs and ignore you.

  88. rico says:

    10.09 Lee.

Why do fans look to other clubs failures in attempt to justify our own? I have never understood that.

We are a huge cash rich club, a club with great history and reputation. We do things the right way and we have suffered through the financial limitations during our stadium move. We get all of that…

But this was or summer, a summer when we have millions in the bank, the summer where we could sign the right players to make us look prepared and ready to challenge, certainly domestically.

Stuff every other club and what they are doing wrong, what about what Arsenal and Arsene Wenger has done wrong.

Small squad, weak squad, under tall squad and one which has far too many average players in it, players who AW clearly doesn’t trust. Otherwise he’d rotate more.

Then on the pitch it’s truly gone belly up and we look like a Sunday league side…

Who cares about Big Sam, Pardew, LvG etc etc, what about Arsenal, what about Arsene Wenger!!

  89. scottfromoz says:

Potter, Le Grove blocked me for abuse yet all I did was defend Wenger, copped more names than I know existed, but I was gone.
    My point?
Well, Untold are certainly no more guilty, yet plenty here are happy to quote those pieces of shit at LG.

  90. scottfromoz says:

Rico, plenty use the likes of Citeh and Chelski as examples when criticising Arsenal so again, it goes both ways.

  91. rico says:

Potter, never mind, just know you are wanted here… 😉

Scott, in relation to what re City/Chavs?

New post is up now, so i’m off over there….
