Well it didn’t take long did it, three games into the Premier League, one for France and Abou Diaby is injured and will miss tonights World Cup qualifier for his country.
Didier Deschamps has revealed a muscular problem is then reason our midfield man will miss the fixture against Belarus.
Diaby took a bad shot and he has muscular discomfort. He is not free in his movements.
However, I doubt very much this is something to be overly concerned about. Diaby has been out for a long while and maybe two games in five days is asking a bit too much too soon, and maybe Arsene Wenger has something to do with this decision.
I’m sure he’ll be strutting his stuff on Saturday when Southampton come to town.
Another concern is Theo Walcott, he missed training with England yesterday through illness and has subsequently been ruled out for tonight against Ukraine.
Theo has picked up some sort of virus, he was quite violently ill last night..
Surely the thought of signing a new Arsenal contract isn’t so bad is it?
We Arsenal fans have had to endure our seemingly annual flogging from the Gutter Press this summer, the Red Tops & co revelled in our discomfort as the Robin van Persie saga rumbled on for weeks and Alex Song’s departure only added to their glee.
As we prepared for the start of the season and then edged our way towards the end of August and what a relief it was, seeing the summer transfer window close.
None of us expected or predicted the bombshell dropped by Bacary Sagna!
Sagna has, during his time at Arsenal, been a solid, loyal, disciplined and reliable part of Arsene Wenger’s senior group of players. Never one for courting controversy or causing the club any embarrassment. He quietly and efficiently got on with job and became arguably the best right-back in the EPL.
Then his interview to a French publication and the facade was blown away!
So what has fuelled sudden unsettled stance???
Is it really the departures this Summer of Robin Van Persie and Alex Song?
Could it be that simple???
Could it possibly be Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri whispering in his ear?
Or could it maybe have anything to do with his 2nd broken leg, has that misfortune made him feel insecure and concerned about his long-term future?
Could it be that all his old familiar team mates have moved on and feels that he has been left behind?
Could it be a desire to win trophies before he gets too old?
Maybe it’s a combination of some, or all of the above?
Could it be his Agent, in other words, money???
Or, is it the sudden emergence and improvement in Carl Jenkinson and the stark realisation that he might struggle a bit, and not walk straight back into the team?
Written by Allezkev
no, you idiot. he was asked a question, and he said it surprised him that AFC sold its two most productive players last year; and that it also surprised him when the same club did the same thing the year before. end of. papers made it seem like he’s unsettled and you’re lapping it up.
Could it be that not everything in the papers is true?!
Morning all…
phil, the only idiot is you it seems, it’s a sensible question being asked, in fact many questions in the post, so which one are you actually answering?
I have to agree with Phil. Maybe like the media, a lot of us are trying to make more out of this than there really is. Sagna was asked a leading question and just answered it the best he thought at the time. Maybe with hindsight he might have chosen his wording a bit more carefully. However it’s not the first time or the last that the media will blow up a story about Arsenal just to sell papers or fill air time. It’s just a bit sad sOme Arsenal fans take it as read that a player might consider leaving just because of what’s said or written by the Arsenal hating media. Dont forget he’s nearly 30 now with 2 years left on his contract so let’s just wait and see what Sagna want to do before jumpIng to any sort of conclusions.
Hi Shevo, thankfully, unlike phil, you don’t feel the need to insult the author.
They maybe nothing to Sagna’s comments as you rightly say but the one thing that did surprise me is how highly he thought of Song and shocked he was that the club sold him.
Maybe if the club had replaced Song, Sagna wouldn’t have made his comments…
Shame the press didn’t ask him what he thought of our three new arrivals, or maybe they did, just forgot to print something positive…
Morning Rico, they probably did ask him about our three new players but omitted his response as it would of been positive!
I’d actually prefer it if one of jenkinson or yennaris can cement their position in the starting 11. Both are gooners, and that makes a world of difference.
We seem to have accumulated too many mercenaries over the 2000’s. Petit, Hleb, Flamini, Nasri, Adebayor, Pursey, Cole, Song
It means that you are not surprised Arsenal always sells its best players. this is not the path you nomally take when playing to win trophies.
Morning Lee – I suspect you are right there…
Morning Rico and all. Nice post Kev. There’s always one isn’t there? What sort of person starts a post with “no, you idiot.” (sic) ? What sensible point can possibly be made after that? Who wants to read beyond that uncapitalised opening?
As far as Sagna goes, well we have learnt, probably better than any other supporters, not to be surprised at much these days haven’t we? We all want him to stay. Jenkinson has promise but Sagna has pedigree.
Morning all. I stated weeks ago that the nil transparency that Arsenal has a club give the press doesn’t help, therefore they try to make NEWS out of things that aren’t really NEWS.
All you get from the club – Arsenal.com is that Podolski likes the style of Santi’s play or that Jenkinson feels like one of the boys … It’s hardly NEWS-worthy stuff so the press plagiarise bits and pieces and re-jig it to suit.
What may be a good idea from the club is to organise fortnightly sessions with the mainstream bloggers such as LeGrove, Arseblog, YoungGuns etc and have a productive Q & A session and keep out the press.
.. As for Diaby … I did say he’d be out of action post-Liverpool game.. I was 8 days out.
adi, but Cole was a Gooner
Morning AKB’s, Gooners, Doomers and Idiots 😀
Stupor Phil really is an angry young man?
Morning Rico. Thanks for the sub.
Morning Adam, there is always one….
devil talked about Sagna the other day, taking his age and injury into consideration, he believes he could be the next one sold…
I really hope that is not the case….
They are young men who are multi millionaires and have people like Darren Dein whispering telephone numbers in their ears. It’s a sign of the times I am afraid and until we can compete better financially it will continue.
Morning Syg,
But what can afc.com write about when there really is no news?
I understand why you suggest a get together with mainstream websites but we’d still only get opinions rather than facts. And as we all know, opinions vary greatly among fans…
Morning Ak, I don’t think you are an idiot, it’s a really good post asking a few sensible questions….
I laughed at an article in The Guardian this morning about how Fergie is going to get Cesc on loan in January and re-sign Ronaldo….
Very little of what players have to say could be considered interesting. For the most part they have nothing to say except perhaps a discussion on the latest Ferrari or who has the best Mohican hair cut. The idea of Arsenal, as a club, speaking directly to Le Grove is bewildering. Where genuine news is concerned I imagine they have been bitten so often that they play their cards close to their chest. And who can blame them?
But this time of year Adam, other than injury/team updates, what news is there?
I’d like to see a Stan Kroenke column on the site, maybe he could give an interview each month, keep us up to date with his vision for the club…
Outside of the transfer window and during an international break there is no news…
There are thousands of interesting questions you could put to the club during a Q & A session, that can only be answered with a fact or a lie..
To Wenger..
Did we actually make an enquiry to sign Yohann Cabaye from Newcastle or was it just the press making it up?
You can only answer a yes or no
If you wanted an opinion you could ask could a player like Jesus Navas fit into our 4-2-3-1 system and how do you rate him?
If Fabregas wanted to leave Barcelona, would you have him back?
The questions are limitless, and there is no ulterior motive as we all want the same end product.
The majority of the press do not.
Morning Adam, hope you are well.
Notice that sheriff Wath rode into town last night.
Late, as usual….
Looking forward to the game Lee…
You wasn’t around to chew the fat with AK 😉
Morning All…!
The authors of LeGrove, Adam are pretty clued up re: football.
They are passionate, that’s all.
Fair point, just can’t see it ever happening, do any other club managers do a Q&A session with fans?
Morning Wath…
No idea, Rico. Arsenal generally set the bar when it comes to most things in football. It would be nice to see the press scrapping from bits from the blogs rather than the other way around.
Morning Groovers
Allez -Good post
Diaby is just a precautionary measure. He should be Ok. I read yesterday dont know where but Sagna said what was written was overblown by the media. It wasn’t a fair reflection of what he said.
Like the FFP has come into force. UEFA is withholding some clubs price money
https://twitter.com/FutbolFan5/status/245453753573068800
Passion has different ways of showing itself. If what I read is passion then I will need a re-think as to the definition of the word. Passion without an agenda is rare.
Morning Wath.
Howdy Wath, how’s your six-shooter? 🙂
I did have a peep last night, but everyone had already rode off into the sunset.
Funny how upset some people get when you just pose a simple question for discussion.
Something to start off a bit of chat.
I get called names by people who really should have a look at themselves…
Actually it’s quite worrying… 😉
I see where you are coming from Syg, I really do but the club seems to be so cloak and dagger these days, we have a majority shareholder who has really told us very little about his long-term plans for our club.
But don’t we the fans deserve to know, maybe then, some of us would understand more and wouldn’t be hoping for R&W to take over.
In ‘that letter’ they said more about their plans than SK has ever done, ok we don’t know if they were being honest but they could have been…. ..
The six shooter is fine AK, Not sure about Stan though as he was off hunting apparently 😉
Morning Adam, how’s you SYG…? All good fella..? AK people come on make a shit comment and vanish, they fail to grasp the post is about generating a debate and to garnish thoughts not to pop on and slag off the writer !!
Yes AK…
Thanks Emma, is it still sackcloth and ashes up your Manor?
Brendan seems to have gone all ‘low profile’…
Didn’t see any Arsenal lads in the U21’s…
Can’t say I rated Stuart Pearce’s idea of a football team.
Did he not learn anything from Brian Clough?
Hi emma – which clubs, you any idea?
We had one in the Irish u21’s Ak, scored a pretty tasty goal apparently 🙂
How the fuck do you break your waist….more to the point!
The UEFA Club Financial Control Body’s (CFCB) investigatory chamber, chaired by former Belgian Prime Minister Jean-Luc Dehaene, has today announced that 23 clubs involved in 2012/13 UEFA club competitions have seen the payment of their prize money temporarily withheld pending further investigation.
As part of the first measure of the financial fair play requirements included in the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations 2012, the clubs participating in 2012/13 UEFA club competitions had to provide information regarding the status of any overdue payables as at 30 June 2012. Following its last meeting in August 2012, the CFCB investigatory chamber has identified that important overdue payables towards other clubs, and/or towards employees or social/tax authorities existed in 23 cases.
These cases involve the following 23 clubs:
FK Borac Banja Luka (BIH)
FK Sarajevo (BIH)
FK Željezničar (BIH)
PFC CSKA Sofia (BUL)
HNK Hajduk Split (CRO)
NK Osijek (CRO)
Club Atlético de Madrid (ESP)
Málaga CF (ESP)
Maccabi Netanya FC (ISR)
FK Shkendija 79 (MKD)
Floriana FC (MLT)
FK Budućnost Podgorica (MNE)
FK Rudar Pjevlja (MNE)
Ruch Chorzów (POL)
Sporting Clube de Portugal (POR)
FC Dinamo Bucureşti (ROU)
FC Rapid Bucureşti (ROU)
FC Vaslui (ROU)
FC Rubin Kazan (RUS)
FK Partizan (SRB)
FK Vojvodina (SRB)
Eskişehirspor (TUR)
Fenerbahçe SK (TUR)
Consequently, the CFCB investigatory chamber will continue their investigations and request these clubs to provide an updated situation as of 30 September 2012 with regards to overdue payables towards other clubs, employees and social/tax authorities.
This conservatory measure will remain into force until all identified balances have been settled in full or until a final decision by the CFCB adjudicatory chamber is taken.
Le Grove are fucking cretins SYG….excuse the language, but they are scum of the lowest order.
Why would anyone at the club give those arseholes the time of day when all they do is insult the place?
Sorry SYG,but on that mob,you couldn’t be more wrong.
The club never peaks transfer targets,so i doubt they’d answer questions at a Q & A,but i agree it would be a positive step…depending on who asked the questions 🙂
Morning all.
Diaby “not free in his movements” Walcott too free in his motions! 🙂
Anyone got a link to Conor Henderson’s 35m wonder goal from last night???
She was a big girl Lee!!
allez – not at the moment :). I share your sentiment on Stuart Pearce.
That’s a lot of clubs emma, most I have never heard of 😉
Morning Scott, it’s not the authors, its some of the comments that I am bemused by…
Lee, I think i saw one on NN
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1329554-the-only-goal-you-need-to-see-this-week-arsenals-conor-hendersons-35m-thumper?
Adam’s favourite site 🙂
Rico,they’re all the same.
Anyway guys, dont stress on Diaby…..he copped a knock, not a strain so thats great news.
That wasn’t a bad strike emma….
Scott – I think it’s AW which is stopping Diaby rather than injury…
Thanks Emma.
I have mentioned, facts, figures and opinions.
You get a better feel from them if you talk to people within a club.
In the summer of 1983 I was on night shift at Askern Colliery – a 19 year old working the 200kW engine that pulled face supports into a 200m-long by 1m-high face using a series of steel wire ropes and pulleys. The guy that was on-site making sure that the ropes and pulleys didn’t get snags or broken was a 50 year old “rope-man”.
All week I was in this man’s company. Being isolated in a series of tunnels that you could only crawl through, you have to indulge in conversation, be it through a Tannoy or in person. This 50-year old man owned a newsagents in Bentley, which is about a mile outside of Doncaster’s town centre. This 50-year old man was Alan Finney.
Most bloggers out there wouldn’t who Alan Finney is. They might have heard of Tom Finney, but Alan Finney – I very much doubt it.
Alan Finney was an out and out winger for Sheffield Wednesday in the fifties and early sixties. My dad was an ardent ‘Wednesday fan and to learn I was working with him was unbelievable. It is sort of like my son working with George Armstrong.
Alan Finney hit an ‘equalising’ goal in the 1960 FA Cup Semi Final with a minute or so to go. It was ruled out and Blackburn went on to get beaten in the final 3-0 by Wolves.
“I still don’t know why that goal was ruled out,” he said.
This man had hundreds of stories and hundreds of answers to hundreds of questions. Players and former players can do that. You learn things from them.
Alan Finney’s career with Wednesday came to an end after over 450 appearances. He got crocked by a young forward called Andy Lochead, and he said how the club at the time treated him. He had the chance of signing with both West Brom and Cardiff but the club held him back. Back then it paid a player to move about as the wages were nothing like they are now. The club only got shut after his injury, and he staggered to a few games with Doncaster Rovers before the end of his career.
“I used to go and see the club play, but I never ever asked for any hand-outs,” he said. “You used to see the old pro’s queuing up for complimentary tickets – it was sad, and I said to myself that it was something that I’d never do – saying that, the only guy there on the board now that I know is Eric England”
He explained that he travelled all over the world with the club, and he’d scored goals against the likes of Spartak Moscow and played against Athletico Bilbao.
Like George Armstrong, Alan Finney was never capped as a full international, but he wasn’t afraid of giving you an “opinion”.
“Ray Wilson was a great full back – very fast…..” he said. “George Cohen? I loved playing against him – I could never understand how he got picked for England.”
Alan Finney was there re: the betting scandal in 1962 when David Layne, Tony Kay and Peter Swan got banned.
“I turned up at the club and the papers were there,” he said. “Personally I never thought there was anything untoward.”
As a fan you can learn things from players and former players. A Q&A would be a fantastic idea and it could be productive.
😆 JW
Morning Rico
Lots of differing opinions on here about how we address rogue press reports when it comes to our club and players. My view based on recent events is to take everything with a pinch of salt until either the club or players makes an official statement about any changes good or bad which may affect the future success of our beloved club. This constant speculation good or bad about our club can be quite frustrating so I for one just let it go over my head now.
Role on Saturday so we can get down the Emirates and cheer the boys on; Sagna and all.
rico – that was a great goal. But can he do it again? 😉
Shevo – tbh, I think most believe very little that is written in the press, we all know what they think of the club by now but we have to write about something. What better than to knock those who knock us… 😉
Totally agree, roll on Saturday and us giving the pundits something really good to talk about…
Wenger does seem to hold Henderson in high regard.
God, i’m ranking at the London Eye and there’s some dopey Jock somewhere, playing bagpipes. What a racket…
Why doesn’t he piss off back up North… 🙁
i av always rated henderson
Probably just a fluke emma 😉
You got me worried there for a minute Ak, ranking at the London Eye, you’ll get nicked 😳
Syg, afc.com have a fans forum, every monday night isn’t it??
Rico 😉
rico – thanks for reminding me on the fans forums. I will have to listen to yesterdays forum. The link to afc.com site is here http://feeds.arsenal.com/arsenalfansforum
Does Lofty still host it emma….
Back very shortly…
rico – yes same old watt 😉
Nice one mate
Great story that SYG.
Henderson, Frimpong, Aneke, Afobe, Yennaris, Miquel, Coquelin, how on earth does Wenger keep them ALL content?
No wonder he had to let Bartley and Lansbury go, these lads really need some 1st team experience.
SYG, I recall, some 15 years ago, ranking at London City Airport and chatting to another cabbie for about 2 hours.
His name was Dennis Clapton, the brother of the late Danny Clapton.
He had some intetesting stories to tell, which sadly I cannotPp recall now, but I agree with much of what you say.
I have a question of which you guys would probably have a better answer to than me.
Is the reason Wenger is so tight lipped towards the medi the reason they hate him and the club,or does he remain coy BECAUSE the media give us so much crap.
Chicken or the egg guys??
SYG. I love reading your ‘history lessons’.
Conor Henderson is in his final year of his contract, I wonder what will happen to him next year. He has pure class and that reminds me of Edu, but unfortunately, he has lost 2-3 years of his development due to injuries.
I think it’s a bit of both Scott, over the years he has become the reason that the standard of England team is poor, too many internationals, fielding a non total English team, not winning a trophy for seven years, letting the club become a selling club, ‘ didn’t see it’ jokes etc etc….
If you were him, would you talk much to the media?
He plays games with them and can hardly blame him but the only problem is, it’s us that listens and read his comments too…..
And we should matter more…
Imagine if AW did a Fergie/Droopy face and fucked the media off….there’d be an uproar!
TSGH – maybe those injuries are the reason the club are yet to offer him a new contract.
Think AW rates him highly…
Just imagine Lee, sometimes I wish he would, be worth the £90K fine if it meant he didn’t have to talk to the idiots….
Got to pop off again, have a good afternoon…
Allezkev..
1.Sagna…well ive said it all along players know far more about the direction of Our club than us….and our best players seems to want out..
Jenkinson..oh my..the lad has improved but he is nothing like Sagna..
2. Diaby..what a suprise eh ?
3. Theo well i dont worry to much..He is just one of those who have seen the light and wants out anyway…
its quite easy really look at how the Americans run their clubs..salary caps..businesslike..winning not as important as making the good old cash…and remember we’re NOT a football club anyomore..we’re just another big American company…living the American dream,,,
its simple..just accept that Our Beloved Arsenal is gone and all that is left is money and a shell…a money milking machine..
We cant compete anymore..Hilly Woody is right !
Hiya Kev / TSGH
Danny Clapton eh, kev? It would be great to speak with some of the old players ….
Another story from Alan Finney.
In those days matches were played both Christmas Day and Boxing Day (if neither days were on a Sunday that is) and against the same teams.
Sheff Wed had just got a 1-1 draw at Highbury on Boxing Day 1960 (we’d gotten a 1-1 draw up at Hillsborough) .. ‘Wednedsay had two coaches coming back up the A1 –
One of the coaches crashed near Huntingdon and a Scottish U23 player for Wednesday, Dougie McMillan had to have a leg amputated.. and on the scene and by the clubs doctor …
Tomstoned. I think you should tell the people that actually pay for their season tickets and give a lot of their time and hard earned cash to supporting Arsenal that we are not a football club anymore, but just another big American company living the American dream. I reckon that would go down really well.
Adam
and by that your saying ?…or implying that ? not going to go into an arguement about how much money i have spent or are spending…you may be surprised..
im always telling it like i see it,if you dont approve or just dont agree thats fine…
being honest is far more important than not having an opinion mate..some of my best friends are Gooners who travels quite a distance every week to watch The Arsenal…and does this week in and week out…
SYG, that’s a sad story mate.
My Dad used to say, that after Munich 1958, that whenever Arsenal travelled abroad by air, that they split the party, playing staff/officials, and took two flights.
Not sure how long this practice was followed tbh.
I am saying, not implying, that we are none of those things. You are a doomer and I am not. End of.
Tom, there is no doubt, that the culture of English football has changed, just as it always has done.
There are many aspects of the way the club is run, that I abhore. But I shall not allow those things to spoil my enjoyment.
Bring me Sunshine, in your smile,
Bring me Laughter, all the while,
In this world where we live, there should be more happiness,
So much joy you can give, to each brand new bright tomorrow,
Make me happy, through the years,
Never bring me, any tears,
Let your arms be as warm as the sun from up above,
Bring me fun, bring me sunshine, bring me love.
Bring me Sunshine, in your eyes,
Bring me rainbows, from the skies,
Life’s too short to be spent having anything but fun,
We can be so content, if we gather little sunbeams,
Be light-hearted, all day long,
Keep me singing, happy songs,
Let your arms be as warm as the sun from up above,
Bring me fun, bring me sunshine, bring me love.
Lee. 🙂
What result are you tipping for Saturday, Kev, Adam etc…?
Arsenal 3 Southampton 2
1-0 SYG.
Morecambe & Wise, Lee. Christmas has never been the same ….
2-0 Giroud off the mark!
Are you going Lee?
You going AK?
I’ll take a 1-0, Personally I think we are due to give someone a hiding. 5-0…. possibly 5-1 or 5-2 if we start show boating at the back
I deliberately didn’t ask you Adam as I knew you’d be there cheering on the boys with Mrs A. 😉
Yes, I’m going.
Tom, I personally think that Wenger has assembled a very competitive squad.
I also feel that we were close to making 2 or 3 more signing during the Window.
But the transfer market is not an easy place from which to get value for money. And Arsenal don’t waste money.
I, as you know, am very positive about our prospects this season.
Nobody is gonna change my mind there.
So chill out. Have a Carlsberg. And enjoy the ride.
They won’t park the bus, they’ll have a go and that’ll be their un-doing!
I am always there Lee with Mrs A at my side. She is very quiet but just occassionally shakes her tiny fist and whispers toward the ref,”You bastard”. everyone cracks up.
First Class from Doncaster into Kings X – East Stand. Can’t wait.
I too think Giroud will get off the mark
See you in the East Stand SYG.
no probs Adam..but being realistic is far from being a doomer…and hey im not forcing you to agree..i respect your views..
agreed Allezkev…and maybe im stuck in the good old days..who knows..
we’ll rip Southampton to pieces…4-1 and Lee agree Giroud off the mark…two goals?
SYG, I think I mentioned this before but the pub we drink in used to get a coach full of Gooners from Leeds!!
I’ll look for the lady shaking her fist and mildly berating the ref, Adam.
It will be an open game.
I remember you saying Lee …
…When I was a lad Lee there used to be a coach of Arsenal supporters from Harrogate…
You can’t miss her SYG. 🙂
Luckily it’s “Ok to disagree” here… 😆
SYG, do you get to many games?
Bless her.
Thanks mate. That is very nice of you and much appreciated.
Not as many as I should Lee.
When the Yorkshire clubs were in the Premier League I went to quite a few.
Leeds away was always brilliant … well not always … I suffered the indignity of a 0-3 the same season we dumped them out of the FA Cup 3-2.
I’m doing Chelsea the week after so touch wood – I’ll see about twenty
Blogging inbetween jobs, is a pain.
But unavoidable.
Lee, 3.30, quality mate.
Looking forward to Thursday… 😉
Lee, I will be there Saturday.
SYG, if we get an early goal, I think we could get 3 or 4, but on the back of International week, hmm, 2-0.
Podolski & Giroud.
Afternoon all,
Diaby will have been reaching for that sticky curled up tube of Deep Heat in the bathroom cabinet this morning me thinks.
Tomstoned, get yourself over for a game, it’s not half as bad as you make out, good chance you’ll surprise yourself and have a great day out, you know it makes sense.
I will most probably, be in the Bank of Friendship, Blackstock Road, with my eldest boy, so if you fancy a pint with the Reverend, I shall happily ‘get them in’…
Er, up to a point……. 😀
Just in case Wath and 10 of his mates show up….
Evening guys and gals…
Sorry to be gone so long, I have been in shock since finding out I need new spectacles, well, more like the price of them….
Bloomin heck, has Eric and Ernie been on here singing today 🙂
I’m going for a high scoring result on Saturday and of course a home victory. Giroud to get off the mark with more than one and Cazorla to boss the game….
They can score though, so if we keep a clean sheet it will be another big test passed imho….
I believe if Arsenal don’t concede, then it’s our best start for some 80 odd years, as far as clean sheets are concerned.
Ak, they have a guy up front, is it Lambert? He’s pretty good and likes a shot from distance…
But, he hasn’t come up against the new organised defence of the Arsenal yet 😉
Evening Rico and Kev.
Evening Adam…
Looking forward to England playing tonight ??
😉
Seems that quite a few from HH are going on Saturday, nice…
England vs Ukraine = Yawn…..
Evening Adam/Rico.
Yawn indeed Ak….
Ak, you guys all meeting up before the game??
As I said earlier Rico, if we score early, then it could get messy for Southampton.
Not worried about our defence.
Wonder if SirChez will be back in goal and will Kozzer be in the starting XI..?
Personally I would keep with the same back-four.
Goalkeeper could be tricky.
Mannone doesn’t deserve to be dropped, but Wenger has be ruthless before with his goalkeepers.
Ask Alex Manninger..!
No Rico. I won’t be watching this evening. I have been sitting quietly in the darkening twilight, listening to some music and it has left me feeling very pensive and a little sad. I find music at this time of the evening to be very powerful where my mood is concerned.
It’s a tough one at the back Ak, i wouldn’t change a winning side to be honest, not unless injury dictates. I guess tonight’s fixtures will also have an impact if we get any injuries.
TV is a worry, just hope him training in bandages isn’t what it looks….
You been listening to Slipknot again Adam… 😉
Kev. Who is/are Slipknot?
Adam, they’re a Heavy Metal band… 😀
Not heard any of their stuff either, but it’s a name that stuck in my head.
I think they are quite popular among Metal fans….
I’m a Slayer man myself Kev. 🙂
I ocassionally listen to Heavy Metal.
Usually as I seriously consider chasing and mowing down the odd abusive, suicidal, cycling moron.
I can understand that Adam, John Miles says it all for me….
I think that Rico listens to Def Leppard.
Ak, Def who 😉
No chance….
van pursering has a thigh injury. Replaced in the 2nd half
All quiet here so I’m offski….
Have a good night all…
‘Til tomorrow all…
Night Night
Shame they didn’t keep him on emma, could have got worse 😉
Gone now …..
rico – i wish they had. That would have being 3 months on the treatment table. Nighty night
AOC just been taken off.
Tatical substitution. So he’ll be ok for Saturday.
Everyone gone??
I reckon the Saints gonna get smashed on saturday…!
AK, a few of my mates drink in the BOF…. at leat 15 of them..If i turn up with the other lot that will mean there are about 40 of us… thanx for the offer of a beer, I’ll tell the chaps they will be chuffed..!
Former idol injured. Thigh strain = 1 week or 3 months, who can say? Generally when injured on international duty Robin van Persie misses at least 20 league games, or at least he did for us. £24m – you get what you pay for!!!
Wath, i’ll be in the Woodbine on Saturday… 😉
Morning all….Arsenal enquire about Didier Drogba!!!
Morning Lee and all…
Loving that rumour 🙂
