Changes tonight? One almost in and one certainly out as the revolving door swings on injuries….

Morning all.

This big news ahead of this game is of course the injury to Bacary Sagna and we’ll miss him. Carl Jenkinson is expected to slot in and hopefully he’ll play a lot better than he did the last time he played. Since then he’s had some playing time with the England under 21’s so fingers crossed he’s a lot sharper. I really like like Jenks and I think he’s going to be a big player for us one day and he seems one of these players who the more he plays, the more assured he looks.

With Sagna suffering a thigh strain, Jenkinson will get a couple of matches under his belt before we head out to Italy. The Napoli fixture is one which could see the return of Lukas Podolski as he returns to ‘normal’ training tomorrow. That’s a huge boost for our attacking force and it could actually mean that Arsene Wenger will think about resting Olivier Giroud.

Everyone else from the weekend is fit and healthy although Wenger has hinted he might rotate players:

I rotate considering the level of fatigue. We have some indications – my eyes, some objective data.

With Everton, Napoli, Manchester City and Chelsea all up next, we may see one or two changes tonight.

Hull have Curtis Davies missing tonight through suspension which is good news for us after his man of the match performance against Liverpool at the weekend, James Chester is expected to play in his place.

On paper this is a fixture we’d be expected to win. Liverpool probably thought the same before they kicked off at the weekend however, we all know what happened there and the Hull City players will be up for claiming the scalp of another top four side. Sorry, I mean, the top side in the Premier League.

But, we also had a cracking 3-0 victory over the weekend at a very difficult ground.

We’ve won the last five league fixtures at The Emirates and if we really want to be crowned Premier League Champions at the end of the season then we need to make our home a fortress…..

COYRRG’s……

  1. Fatgun-Ug says:

Hi Lady, gentlemen and ladies, Am thinking for this game, le prof is going to surprise hull with Gnabry playing upfront. He can score goals at least, is fast, strong, tricky and hungry.
did some one say he was even in the running to make the Wc squad for Germany??
thats how good he can be

  2. Fatgun-Ug says:

i mean give OG12 a break for today, have Serge in the middle and Theo on the wing. their speed will scare the hell out of their full backs and give more space for our midfielders to do what they do best… just my thoughts

  3. rico says:

AW barely plays Gnabry though Fu, surely is any player was to move central in order to rest Giroud it would be Theo?

  4. rico says:

Nice to see AW put the motd ‘pundits’ in their place. So glad it’s Hanson’s last year in the programme…

  5. Lee says:

That jock bell said “you’ll win nothing with kids!” talking about the mancs a several years ago…..what great foresight from a top draw pundit!!!!

  6. BrainwashedKev says:

Not that I’m underestimating Hull or anything, and I’m certain nobody at Arsenal will take lightly a team that humiliated Liverpool 3-1, but this evening represents the best opportunity that Wenger will have all December, to rest Giroud…

  7. emma says:

    Goodday all,
Not sure i concur with u kev that tonight is d only time for us to rest giroud. There is a 9 day period b/w d mancity and chelsea game. This could afford d players a 3/4 days rest before d chavs game which is on a monday as we are not involved in d league cup in midweek

  8. BrainwashedKev says:

Ok Emma, well maybe bring him off after an hour if, hopefully, the points are safe…
But Everton this Sunday, is going to be a very tough game, maybe tougher than facing Liverpool, so we’re gonna need Giroud to be 100% for a battle…

  9. BrainwashedKev says:

And he’s not goons get much of a break between Everton, Napoli and ManCity, bearing in mind the terrible physical toll his position will take on him…
Wenger can rotate almost everyone else, but Giroud needs a rest as well…

  10. emma says:

kev – giroud will be fine. He is as tough as an Oxen 😉 . Hopefully we kill of d time before d 60mins mark and give him a rest.
Hi rico, berbatov is now leading d pack for jan signing 😉

  11. HenryB says:

    Hi Rico

I thing the blogs/media will continue to throw up names of players we might buy until AW denies any interest (like the Pato/Morata stories) or the players club gets stroppy (Mulumbu/West Brom).

The Berbatov rumour is probably the same.

It’s good fun if not taken seriously. 🙂

  12. rico says:

Hi Hb, I love all the links to players, only because most are so far fetched and rubbish… Until afc.com announce a player signing, I try not to get too excited 😉

  13. rico says:

Story about a young lad who has Muscular Dystrophy meeting the England team and in particular Wayne Rooney. Quite moving Hb…

Boo to you agag, would be wonderful but as Wath said earlier, think we have missed the chance for him…

  14. HenryB says:

I have a rule of thumb which always works.

If a player like Mulumbu (recently) or Matuidi (in seasons past) say they want to play for Arsenal (or their agents claim to have been in touch with ‘Mr Wenger’ then there is no way it is true,

Arsenal never go into negotiations by the back door.

But you are right = when AFC announce it or the player is shown with Arsene and wearing an Arsenal shirt that is the only time we can be sure it is true.

I would not mind a CF signing as back up for Ollie though. 😉

  15. Rick. says:

Evening to the house. If you go to Football Live Stream then to page 2 of Wiziwig they say they are showing tonights game. They state cover starts 1hour before kick0ff. Im hoping it is correct and we see another good win.

  16. rico says:

I think most tend to use that theory Hb. Agent spin is nearly as bad as the made up stories by the journos..

CF for me too, a clinical striker…

  17. agirlagunner says:

rico, that was only because we hadn’t signed Ozil yet; now that we have, Suarez would be much more likely to believe that we mean business. 🙂 I bet you, WATH would be the first to break out a GG bottle if we were to sign him. Possibly the only time he’d be willing to share. 😀

Hello, HB! I’m reminded of the protracted “done deal” of Higuain. 😀 I’d really rather wait for the dotcom announcement myself. 🙂

  18. rico says:

Depends on where the dippers are in the league maybe agag, if they are well out of CL places, anything could happen but my own thought is Madrid will come in for him and Benzema could go to the dippers..

  19. HenryB says:

    Hello, agirlagunner,

As I am sure you and Rico would confirm, men can be notoriously stubborn, and I think that as Kroenke and John Henry are acquaintances and rivals in the US, the latter would rather cut off his man parts rather than lose face by selling Suarez to Arsenal, after last summer’s debacle.

If Suarez leaves ‘Pool it is more likely he will go to Madrid, which would leave Benzema whistling down the wind. 🙂

  20. rico says:

The two met apparently Hb and that’s why we ended our interest according to SK…

Nice idea agag, I have a sneaky feeling about Draxler 😉

  21. BrainwashedKev says:

Emma, re: Giroud, you are probably right, he is a big strong lad…
I just worry that he is gonna run outta puff without a rest…

  22. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning all.
Right, off to work for an hour before back home for the game, then back to work.
    Love it.

  23. agirlagunner says:

rico, that is niiice. 🙂 I’m glad we are being linked to great players now; not too long ago we were linked only to second-rte ones. 😛

Kev, have you bought Mrs Kev something nice? 🙂

  24. rico says:

    Five changes….

Team in full: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Rosicky, Cazorla, Ozil, Bendtner

Subs: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Walcott, Giroud

  25. BrainwashedKev says:

No Walcott, that suprise’s me even more tbh Rico…

Maybe AW feels that Hull will defend deep?

Theo to come on later when Hull are hopefully chasing the game…

  26. rico says:

Me too Kev, really surprised. Just hope this plan works, it could bite AW on the backside….

    No Gnabry either…

  27. AndrewH says:

This really really must be last chance saloon for Big Nik. Never again if he doesn’t perform tonight. Please get some good crosses in to his nut and see if he can deliver.

  28. rico says:

Just hope NB is looking for a big deal somewhere and he’s going to put in the kind of performance which would get some daft club to bite…

  29. tsgh says:

    Evening lovely people,

    Late arriving; interesting post Rico…

    5 changes tonight… SP1 won’t be pleased. 😛

    Get in there gooners…

NB to break his duck tonight…

  30. agirlagunner says:

    ginge, you called it right!!!!

rico, I think in his head, he is playing for Denmark. He sure scores for them!!

    AW will be well pleased!!!

  31. Scott from Oz says:

I mossed 4 minutes and see Bendtner starting…wtf?
    Who scored?
    Kidding.
    We look hot today.
First appt. cancelled so i can sit back and watch the entire game.

  32. tsgh says:

    That was a pen… ref

Tr07, Ozil and Ramsey are like working bees.

NB missing a chance from 2 yards… poacher insticts to be there though…

  33. Scott from Oz says:

    Haha Ginge,
I though he trod on Ramsey boot, but i reckon it was accidental.
Still, a penalty, but harsh 🙂

  34. Scott from Oz says:

We need Adam to fire up the crowd and get a Bendtner chant going…make him feel wanted.
    Ya never know?

  35. tsgh says:

Can’t stand teams like Norwich who play like their lives depend on it when they are facing us but roll up and get their tummies tickled when facing Liverpool and Chavs

  36. Scott from Oz says:

Shit a brick, i could bang 4 in when Norwich “play” like that.
    They are disgrace at times.
Have a bloody go at least.

  37. Scott from Oz says:

How many games are on atm?
I agree Ginge….keep the defence tight and let them blow themselves out…grab one or two late.
    Sounds a little familiar.

  38. joaquim Moreira says:

    just 1.0…
    Why we not shot?
It’s a dangerous score. We could be more confortable in the game now. We could be 2 or 3-0 and finger crosses for the 2nd half

  39. Scott from Oz says:

Kev, he is very solid and put the cross over for Bendtners goal.
When Jenks plays no frills footy, he is good enough.

  40. Scott from Oz says:

We have had quite a few chances, and been a little unlucky.
Keep this up and we will score more.
It is a common thing for us to score early, keep things tight and grab another one or two late.

  41. tsgh says:

Kev- CJ25 had an assist.. but the hull TIGERs are exploiting the gap between Per and Cj25 as both are pushing too high but Flamini is only covering the LB when he goes forward…

JM- 12 attempts, 5 on target what do you want? lol

  42. tsgh says:

Not being negative but how many time does Sc19 have to go miles over the cross bar from 8 yards?

It happens almost every game now… against BIG opposition that could be the difference… still he is getting into those positions so only a matter of time i guess…

Suarez has scored more goals than sperds…

  43. Scott from Oz says:

The commentators i am watching agreed it was never out….funny, isn’t it.
Ginge, lucky we have 5-6 other guys scoring for fun 🙂
Please nobody try to tell me ever again Jenks is not good enough, because that is just wrong.

  44. tsgh says:

Scott- taking nothing away from Cj25 because you know i like him but this is a good game for him to boost his confidence… hull have not offered much going forward but when they have they have troubled us…

    Hazard 3-2; c’mon Don Vito… 🙁

  45. Scott from Oz says:

I know Ginge, but still, he has kept his position defensively, and looked great going forward.
When he keeps it simple, he is good.

  46. Scott from Oz says:

    Never close Ginge 🙂
Old saying…and it applies to our lads.
The harder they work, they luckier they get.
We are on top for a reason, and it has little to do with luck, i reckon.

  47. tsgh says:

    ha ha Scott..

I think Flamini needs a bit of help in midfield… he is giving the ball away a bit… Ozil or Ramsey can come off now…

  48. agirlagunner says:

Kev beat you to it, rico. 🙂 🙂

The thing about Chelsea, even when they’re winning, they look… ordinary. Or maybe, I just hate them. 😀

  49. BrainwashedKev says:

Not sure, but we was linked to him a couple of years ago…

Think he is, or was, on Brighton’s books Ginge…

Not sure we need him tbh…
We are well stocked with midfielders.. 🙂

  50. MO11 says:

December starts with a comfortable win and clean sheet. Well played never really under threat other than when we played ourselves into trouble.

The only concern is that our full backs didn’t look great defensively today which is a worry looking at whats round the corner. The plus side though we were comfortable winners after making five changes which is a big plus, and Bentdner didn’t fail to remind us that he might score within two minutes but still can miss a sitter and has the first touch of a rapist.

  51. tsgh says:

    Good win..

Now Sir SP1’s comments please. lol

You know I am just teasing SP1… it feels good being a gooner.

I wish I was a betting man.. I should have placed a 10er with the bookies this summer…

I honestly believed with us keeping our best players we will be in the mix…

Ozil and Ramsey again tonight… followed by Kosser and Monreal…

  52. rico says:

I was concerned with so many changes, but well played Arsene….

Maybe I just forgot that now when we rotate, we see no ‘average’ – barring NB of course but he scored….

  53. Scott from Oz says:

Mo11, very harsh on Bendtner….that ball was at his feet before he could have a chance to react.
    He did well.
If…big if….he gets regular playing time, surely that touch would improve, either way.
    IF 🙂

  54. tsgh says:

we need to rotate otherwise we won’t win jack all again imho…

All winning teams rotate… even BVB and Blackburn rotated too..

we just need to back the team…

6 straight wins at home… the first time in 4 yearswe have done that before December

  55. rico says:

I’m off guys and gals, got to be up early to watch the match so I can write about it … 😉

    Night all….

  56. tsgh says:

I know I have fallen out with a few on here in the past by saying that 6 years ago NB was considered the new Laudrup…and ML10 is one of the greatest no.10’s ever in football so NB must have been decent… its just his dad and his ego that derailed his potential…

NB brought up Birmingham almost by himself when he was 18 y.o

  57. tsgh says:

    night Rico…

MO11, our fb’s weren’t too bad… I just think we got carried away in the first half at times looking for the 2nd goal causing CJ25 in particular to caught out of position sometimes…

CJ25 was far better than Micah Richards last weekend imho… albeit against different opposition.

  58. agirlagunner says:

Scott, haha. On current form, Cesc will be called on only to afford Rambo, Jack, and Ozil some rest. Barcelona are a club in decline. I’ve been saying that since the start of the year.

  59. MO11 says:

That was a joke about NB guys, but no less than he deserves. Yeah he did score a goal but lets not forget who has been paying his wages for the last god knows how many seasons (i dont want to check it, because it will depress me) agag I know Jenks and Nacho are rusty due to shortage of game time, but we don’t really have time for them to pick it up considering whats coming they will need to improve defensively if we are to push on this month, they both played well going forwards, but you have to look at the opposition in front of you as well. Hull didn’t really try to attack, but when you think of Navas/Hazard/Mata etc its a different ball game and they will need to improve, but thats for another day right now i’m happy we won, got no injuries, and kept another clean sheet.

  60. MO11 says:

Agag you do love Barca lol, I was watching Revisit this morning and they were saying exactly what you are saying, so you might be on to something. Without Messi they look very ordinary and la liga is a bore, I mean they raved about Bales hat trick, he was unchallenged for all his goals no one picked him up at all. Barca if they were in the EPL or a more physical would be showed up and it will interesting to see how they do in the CL this season. I for one wouldn’t mind playing them on this current form they play the exact type of game we could exploit, and they crap themselves from Walcott.

  61. agirlagunner says:

Mo, the beauty of our squad now is that we can “rotate”. 😛 Haha, I never thought I would be able to say that. We can only beat the team in front of us, and today it was Hull. Not too long ago, we capitulated against the likes of Hull, Stoke, etc. Now, we win against them. And win convincingly. We do need to step up our game v. Citeh, but we have been pretty even with them in our last four or so matches. I know that they have been scoring for fun, but we aren’t doing so poorly ourselves. 😉

I take heart from the professionalism of that performance. I thought Kozzer was great except for that one donut moment.

  62. AndrewH says:

agag, we just need to have a better goals v chances ratio. If we had got Suerez it would have been game over 😉

  63. agirlagunner says:

Mo, I think Barca can get away without playing Messi sometimes, but not all the time. Maybe he is off those rumored PEDs now; and is beginning to feel normal wear and tear.

  64. agirlagunner says:

Andrew, I know. Santi hasn’t quite hit his stride yet; but I’m hopeful he soon will. I’m excited to see Podolski back though. He looks like hw’s been working hard to regain fitness.

Suarez will win us the CL. 🙂 Sign him up, Arsene.

  65. MO11 says:

Agag well said and couldnt agree more, on saurez i dont why people keep saying if we got him because we never were going to get him

  66. MO11 says:

Liverpool would never sell to us unless we bidded stupid money and once that 40M and £1 bid went in it was game over. On messi you prob right if they dont be careful with him his career will be over because he keeps getting same injury

  67. BrainwashedKev says:

Just watched the Southern Oilers on MotD.
Blimey what a shambles if a defence.
A championship defence, huh, in their dreams.

Shearer had a ‘hard on’ as it was Sunderland getting beat and he hates Arsenal…
    Ugly Geordie cnut!

  68. Wavy says:

Is Suarez the new Bale? Why, oh why didn’t we bid 40m and£2.00? Said it before though, I don’t like him, and I don’t think we want his sort around the Ems!
    Good footballer though.

  69. BrainwashedKev says:

My blood pressure is fine young lady… 😉

Lukaku looks a beast, he is gonna give us some serious problems this Sunday.
Everton look a really powerful team, well organised and strong in defence…
Martinez has had quite a lot of success against Arsenal in the past, it could be a nervy afternoon?!!!

  70. Scott from Oz says:

Kev, Everton always give Yanited problems….hopefully, they left it all on the pitch and have little left for us.

  71. Scott from Oz says:

Kev, i am yet to see any striker gives us problems over 90 minutes so far this season.
Kozzer with speed and Merts with brains will own the kid.
Suarez, Sturridge, Lukaku….name any striker scoring plenty of goals this season, and then check how they go against good sides….none of them are producing against well organised defences.
He is bloody good, but if our guys keep concentration, he will be quiet.

  72. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all.
When i saw how many changes we made last night, i expected the worse i must admit, Multiple changes has been our downfall in the past and when i saw Bendtners name i almost choked, Having said that when the game started we looked quite good, our passing was quick and the one touch style that we have been working on was precise and flowing well. Our continual backpassing that has got on my nerves was more direct we looked like we wanted to go forward without the urgency ,Bendtner as you know is not first on my list but i have to say he worked hard last night and he was mobile i hate to say it but he kept his end up. Both our goals i felt were oppotunist goals, Bendtners header came from a good spell of teamwork Ozils nicely placed pass down to jenks who had a very good game last night and culminated in a near perfect pass where Bendtner finished off with a fine header. If i had any criticision it would be that although we had most of the possession we dont seem to have the amount of goals that our dominance deserves. Ozils goal also i felt was oppotunist but just being in the right place at the right time shows that if you have the skill you can take the chances when they come. Arsenal last night were never under threat the teamwork and slick passes was a thing of beauty but i felt that as we approached their penalty aera we seem to mess around a little to much for my liking. Our dominance should produced more goals although the team is nicely compact the killer instinced seemed lacking. Ozil has had some stick from me of late but i have to hold my hands up and congratulate his last couple of performances he has been the king pin for me and like many of you have said, shown his worth. Nick Bendtner on last nights form will probably stop us from buying this winter i believe that is a mistake as i want him gone but he played well last night scored a fine header and almost got others he will be here to the end and with that performance will take the pressure off..

  73. Scott from Oz says:

    Hi guys.
Steve, Bendtner will go i reckon, unless Wenger is convinced the guy has a future at the club, and that must be doubtful.
    I agree…he was bloody good.
He worked hard, and the headed goal was a bullet.
Ozil and Ramsey combined sensationally for that goal.
Hull hardly ventured or opened the game up which made it a little harder to break them down…..that will not be a problem v some of the better sides.
It was another top performance, and we are rolling along beautifully.

  74. tsgh says:

Wenger confirmed Walcott was sick earlier in week, hence why he didn’t start…

Some news to scare the fans: Wenger on Bendtner’s future: “That depends on his commitment & his fitness”

  75. tsgh says:

‘Ever-loan’ look very good with their 4 loanees in the squad…

Gerard Deulofeu – one of my summer tips for young player of the season is looking good I hope Monsieur Sagna is back to keep him quiet…

  76. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning Scott, Agree’d.
I watched the United Everton game last night,. United are under pressure, Rooney is a lunatic he doesn’t like losing and it shows Evra and Vidic are dirty Bastards but they have the fight right to the end I despise them but have to admire their fighting spirit. Everton was good for the win and United seem in free fall The referee looked like he wasn’t offered a brown envolope so the decisions looked good finished my night off just right.

  77. Scott from Oz says:

Yanited are in trouble…..there is nothing fresh there to see any spark coming.
I am tipping Everton will be flat for us…they’d have been incredibly pumped for that game.

  78. tsgh says:

Scott- its the Fellaini effect… lol

Another one AW got right too… Fellaini is overrated… and its good AW looked at the stats to stay clear imo…

  79. rico says:

Morning Scott, Ts, Sp and all….

Fellaini is at the wrong club with a manager who hasn’t got a clue where to play him imho….

  80. tsgh says:

Morning Rico… have you finished watching the game?

🙂 Probably wrong club but Moyes bought MF from Standard Liège and brought him Everton for a club record fee so I believe he knows him best…

Not sure what position he is best at but he has always been decent as a 2nd striker but Cygan level poor at DM imho… MOTD made him look good… 😛

There was no way AW was going to play MF as a 2nd striker as a long ball outlet; as a DM he covers an average of 7.43 km a game which is like NB after a night out so that is not good enough… 😀

  81. tsgh says:

SP1, re AA23 I totally agree; that is why I always say with most players it depends on why they are in the game primarily…..

AA23 was in for the money and his move to UK was enough to secure his future in my view…

  82. rico says:

Highlights for me Ts, haven’t got time to watch the whole match until later so a very brief report today…

  83. stevepalmer1 says:

While the train rolls along and we take one station at a time we have the chance to reach our destination on time. Sometimes you have to take a siding and wait for another train to come through, but the Manchester express has engine trouble and the driver is all steamed up. Chelsea and City trains have been late at the stations but are trying as hard as they can to catch the flying Gunner, Man i got my fingers crossed.

  84. Adam says:

    Morning Rico and all.
It was cold at the game last night and Hull were very poor. We were ok which is our way against these sort of teams. I am sure we will step it up for Everton though.
I believe we may have a problem developing at RB sometime in the not too distant future.

  85. Scott from Oz says:

Is it possible Fergie brought Moyes in to make himself look better?
He is a supposedly intelligent guy…he must have had a clue the guy would fail, because not many around the work are surprised Yanited are struggling.
    Could he be so vain?

  86. tsgh says:

CJ25 was good last night Adam, but I think Sagna needs to sat on as a back up striker at least after next season…

It will cost more to get Rangel or even prise Uchida away from SC04; we know NUFC will not sell Debauchy to us and he is not much younger than Sagna.

Fergie is an old fox Scott…

  87. emma says:

    Morning all,
Rico forgot to turn on the comments in the new post. ;(

I put my hands up and say bendtner was bloody good last night. Never in doubt he has that quality but his attitude stings. He looks fit, quick and his passes were crisps. I was impressed with Jenks performance as well. All in all it was another all round performance by the boys. We could have had 7/8 goals on another night and just like steve bruce said his team could have being embarrassed. I guess the little boy inside vangreedy is feeling dizzy this morning. He is having his usual 3months layoff, mo-yes says he doesn’t know when he will be fit to play.

  88. tsgh says:

    Hiya Emma….

”He is having his usual 3months layoff” lol. very true… still section of fans believe footballers like him do not fake injuries.

  89. emma says:

tsgh – I think he is faking it. He already complained about moyes playing method. Probably the little boy is not in a better frame of mind playing for Moyes 😉

  90. BrainwashedKev says:

If he is prepared to keep on putting in that kind of effort, maybe it’s worth keeping him until the end of the season, where he can leave on a Bosman…

  91. Wavy says:

    No comment , then!
Morning all, good win, no alarms, we are top of the shop, again, going into the weekend.
Only sour note, Bentner! He was less than enthusiastic when celebrating his goal, I thought I will be mighty surprised if he is still with us after January. If he is, it will be because nobody else wants him! Well, no surprise there then?
As for Barca and Ramsey, no surprise there either, we are a selling club after all! I think Ramsey was one of the players Cesc didn’t want to pass to, so any signature there may be greeted with some pessimism by the former captain of ours, who seems to be playing for a fading team. A bit like manure, then! Was that piece of ‘news’ in the daily fail?

  92. Lee says:

Arsenal supporters were heart broken when last year Robin van Persie announced that he will not renew his contract. However, to worsen their pain, he joined Manchester United.

The Dutch international published a long statement on his website claiming how he disagrees with the way Arsenal are planning to move forward and their ambitions.

“I personally have had a great season but my goal has been to win trophies with the team and to bring the club back to its glory days.

“Out of my huge respect for Mr. Wenger, the players and the fans I don’t want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward.”

Now seeing his side 12 points behind the former team must be a comforting sight for the ex Arsenal captain right. Surely, it will be for the gunner supporters.

He stated that no matter what, he will always love Arsenal and the fans but his actions after the latest goal against gunners tell another story.

Reaching the twilight years of his career, Robin van Persie needs to play at the top level but now United lie 9th in the table with low ambitions of somehow reaching top 4 and an average manager.

So is Van Persie releasing a statement against Man United like he did when he was at Arsenal?

He really should because if he treated gunners like that after 8 long years of support then with United it has been just one year. Plus it was all about ambitions for him right, then he must question Manchester United’s ambitions.

Come on RvP, show your true-self.

Morning Lee, I can see your point about RVP, but not so long ago didn’t we all question where AW and the Arsenal were going. 8 years at a club and not having won anything as your approaching you retirement seems a bit of a waste if when you go out with nothing to show for it’ Whether Captains sit in meetings or not i don’t know but if you are ambitious and want to win things, in all honesty Arsenal never seemed like a club that were going to. Having seen our best player Cesc Fabregas leave with probably the same thoughts as his own, must have opened VP’s eyes. A 42 million signing stunned me like many other supporters i’m sure, that has lifted players and supporters as well If Arsenal had relayed that kind of imformation i am sure VP would have stayed, But i think it was down more to contracts that trophies a one year deal for a 30 goal a season striker is not very tempting I am Arsenal through and through but i surely would have wanted longer than a year contract.
