Chamakh off to Spain & Where we are…..

Morning all.

In the absence of any real transfer news, I thought I’d just report a few bits and bobs….

Players In:

Yaya Sonogo – striker.

Yep, that’s it.

Players Out, including loans are:

Andrey Arshavin

Sebastian Squllaci

Johan Djourou

Francis Coquelin

A few younger players have signed new contracts:

Hector Bellerin

Zachari Fagan

Anthony Jeffrey

Zak Ansah

We have also seen a few youngsters go. Sad for them all but I’m sure most, if they have their head screwed on the right way, will go on to have really good careers elsewhere. I personally wish them all the very best…

For me there remains a few question marks hanging over a few players we have left today.

Chamakh – Will any club want him on loan, or to buy? Well reports this morning suggest Levante want him for £1 million. Sell him.

Frimpong – Will a club offer an amount to tempt Arsene into letting him go?

Park – I suspect he’ll be gone one way or another…

Santos – Fingers crossed some club, somewhere will want him.

Nik ‘Worlds best striker’ Bendtner – well he’ll be gone somewhere.

Then there are the fans choice – mixed of course:

Gervinho – A couple of French clubs want to entice him back to France.

Sagna – We all know PSG, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce want him, well, according to the newspapers.

Vermaelen – Once wanted by Barcelona, maybe still be wanted by Barcelona. They usually want one of ours…..

Miyaichi – Is he already too injury prone?

Rosicky – Getting on a bit now but gives the squad experience and he knows that losing an NLD is not acceptable.

Diaby – Has so much potential to be a crucial cog in our midfield wheel but he can’stay injury free. Surely we should cut all ties and let him go…..

So there you have it, if I have missed anyone out, then feel free to chastise me verbally in the comments section….

Have a great day all, I’m out for most of it so catch you later…..

    Morning all…

£1 million for Chamakh, way overpriced 😉

Sell him Arsene, give him away, do whatever it takes to get him off of our payroll

  2. Chikay says:

Bendtner is not quite out of the door yet. As much as we would all want him 2 leave? He’s still currently on our payroll – sad that.

  3. Wavy says:

Why doesn’t the club offer BOGOF to all our unwanteds. so Jamshack could go with the added incentive og getting a choice of any of the left overs free?
Buy one get one free. A lost leader!

    Morning all.

  4. rico says:

I’d like to just see us pay them off and get rid Wavy, surely in most cases it would work out cheaper.

Maybe not Nik and Chamakh who have just one year left and if both loaned, we may not have to pay all their wages.,…

  5. koye says:

cant wait to check the arsenal official site and see that my dreams have come true. bendtner, chamack , santos all sold out.

  6. allezkev says:

    Morning Gooners…

Well done Rico, a great effort on yet another no news day…

Bendtner will probably go out on loan as will Chamakh. Just let them run down their contracts with another club paying their wages…

Diaby has been given a new number, he is now 24…
Change of number, change of luck???

Jenkinson to get the No.2 perhaps?

  7. devilgunner says:

The problem that was not foreseen by the architects of the Emirates Stadium was building a door high and wide enough for Bendy to pass through. Seems as if his head is getting stuck in the arch way. And AW does not want the building to be messed with. 😆

Good Morning Lady, Sir and Gentlemen and Ladies.

Nice summarizing post Rico. But I will chastise you for saying that Chamack is not worth 1 million. For heaven’s sake Lady, dont wash our underwear in public. Tell everyone that he is one of the top strikers. 😉

There are so many players leaving. It means only one thing. AW and IG have to buy. The problem is………WHO they will buy? Top players or cheapo Afro freebies and wannabees?

I am still watching the fiver dangling back and forth. 😉

  8. Ric The Gooner says:

I agree with the sentiment to get all these guys off the wage bill.

I’m a little miffed that we are dragging our heels with inbound stuff (I know it still early) but I seriously hope we aren’t going to have a Mata, Alonso situation on our hands with Higuain. I will be nightly unimpressed if we miss out on this guy due to our quibbling over a million or two, after all Gazidis bluster a few weeks ago about how rich and powerful we are. Sign him up and start looking at our other targets. COYG

  9. devilgunner says:

    Hiya habib.

    u ok???

I have a feeling it will be CJ with the number 2 and Gibbs will take the number 2 when Bac goes. Mertesacker will go with 4, TommyV with 5 and Kozzer with 6.

  10. allezkev says:

    Morning Coach…

That Fiver is tantalisingly close to my grasping fingers…
    Rico is saving like crazy…

Despite all the rumours, we may well start this season with Santos and Gervinho still part of our squad.

I wonder when the deadline for announcing your 25 player squads are due? Be it the EPL or CL….

  11. allezkev says:

Yeah Coach, I know the numbers don’t really mean anything, but I’m a traditionalist and Diaby with 2 and Sagna with 3 just seemed a bit naff…

Yeah Gibbs with 3 and Jenks with 2 just feels proper…

    I’m good thanks Habib…
Another hot, humid day in London.
How are things in the Med?

  12. devilgunner says:

At the moment we have a summer without the summer if you get the gist. 😉 The temperature is dangling like the fiver, around the 30 degree mark, but with a NW wind blowing force 4 to 5 the heat is acceptable.

But the long summer holidays are nice at the moment.

Incidentally I am watching tennis at the moment. The ball seems to have a fiver attached to it and its going from one side to another. 😉

But I still think that Higuain and Fellaini would be added to the team. I would loathe to loose Aaron as part of the Fellaini deal though.

  13. Scott from Oz says:

Kev, you need to put in some overtime because Ricos fiver is as good as won.
It is as certain as Higuain lining up for us 🙂

  14. devilgunner says:

    Morning Scottie.

Seems as if Aaron is being dangled as a bait for Fellaini. That would be a big mistake.

  15. Scott from Oz says:

    More media drivel mate.
    No way.
Our defence proved itself after Xmas…..why do we need to tinker with it too much?
If Fellaini is good enough, then we should buy him outright.
Ramsey proved himself after Xmas and will continue to improve.
If Wenger sells him, i will be on the first plane over to bitch slap him!

  16. devilgunner says:

    Aye I agree mate.

About being on the first plane to slap AW. Regarding you being rude that’s another story 😉

    How are you mate??

  17. potter says:

Ramsey is one of our better squad players, I would have thought the folly of releasing your better players would have been written large on our negotiating officer’s wall . However if true obviously not.
Why take a step back to take one forward.

  18. Scott from Oz says:

    All is well here Devil.
Sean is keeping us busy with football 4 days a week, and now he is playing Aussie Rules as well!!
School holidays now so we all have a two week break, and it came at the right time.

  19. Scott from Oz says:

    Agreed Potter.
If we were broke and desperate for a Fellaini, then fine, but we are not, and we are not, so there just no point.

  20. devilgunner says:

Why squad player regarding Aaron Potter?

I see him as a starter, even if Fellaini arrives.

And if AW offers Aaron as bait for Felllaini then he is a prized plonker. Why not offer Coquelin and Djourou plus money instead of sending them on loan? I would make more sense. Surely its mentally unstable to keep Coquelin and offload Aaron.

  21. devilgunner says:

tbh…..all that the media writes and says is all drivel to me. I doubt anyone knows what AFC are going to do and who they are after and what they are offering.

Maybe not even AW and IG themselves know what they want!!! 😆

  22. tsgh says:

    Morning all fellow HHers,

So Rico is queuing up somewhere to get Murray’s autograph? 😛

A nice post summarising the squad situation re ‘the players who have not fitted into our culture’ (just trying to be politically correct ) 🙂

Hi Mr Scott, I don’t read your post as I have said before but your news on Aaron was like a liver shot to me… where did you get that tosh from? 😀

Mr Dev, howdy? I am extremely surprise and honoured that you also think so about Ramsey ‘I see him as a starter, even if Fellaini’ arrives.

  23. Scott from Oz says:

Agreed Devil….Wengers right hand does not know what his left hand is doing.
    G’day Ginge.
    Ramsey should be captain 🙂

  24. devilgunner says:

Aaron is too clean to be captain mate. He does not have that ruthless streak in him. Look at Arteta. He has that holier than thou look but knows when to drive his foot in and stand his ground.

In my life there were only two AFC captains worthy of the title. TA, PV and one who should have been an AFC player….Keane.

  25. tsgh says:

Even the made up rumours are running out! Malaga gooner has goone missing from the rumour site… 🙂

  26. potter says:

No slight intended, it’s just that it is now a squad game and I see them all as integral parts of it.

  27. potter says:

I would have to include McLintock in my list Devil , but then I probably have more miles on the clock.

  28. devilgunner says:

good on you Potter then. He is the nearest we can get to Flamini, but hopefully he is more genuine and honest and not a money grabber.

Regarding McLintock my old Pa remembers him clearly and says the same as you. I was still a baby in his days at AFC. So I cannot have any memories of him.

  29. devilgunner says:

Ahhh Ginge. it is obvious why Malaga Gooner has left. He has managed to make so much up that he found it difficult to believe in his drivel and ended up having a personality disorder with him forgetting who he was and what was he supposed to believe.

  30. potter says:

I see Sanogo has picked up an injury in France’s competition in Turkey. Originally thought to be a broken rib now appears to be heavy bruising.

  31. devilgunner says:

    Hmmmmmm. a striker?

I think that can have some legs. But only in a 4-4-2 system and only against the lower teams or when the match is already a safe 2-0 game or you are chasing a result.

  32. devilgunner says:

    Ehhhhhh????? CB???

    you on the vino mate?

or had a touch of sun through the mud hut roof hole???

I think you are pulling your wee willy winky fortune a bit too far!!!! 😉

  33. DutchGooner10 says:

    Afternoon Fellow Gooners,

Tanx for the summary Rico. Just by leaving out the dross and unsubstantiated rumours you spell volumes my dear.

Don’t know if anyone already mentioned this but take a look at the link below. Syrup practically reigns supreme in the world of sports. Ad to this info the fact Silent Stan legally is top-heir to the Walmart treasure and you’re in the loop what the man is all about.

Why he holds us (and rest of his sports portfolio) for ransom you ask? Because its crowded at the bottom. Our salary caps are just there to float his cream. As I said before my alliance is with the loyal Season Ticket Holders and those who no longer cough up his sauce.

Puck off Syrup. By the looks of it you got the fangs of a serpent equal to the size on a walrus.

  34. devilgunner says:

Obviously you are thinking of Bendtner then Dan, if you want us to think bigger enough.

    Denilson????

Ahhhhh. Off to drink some vino then. Hope the wine has not been made of sour grapes.

    yeuuuughhhhhhh

  35. devilgunner says:

I am off now my friends.

Time to enjoy myself. Got the village feast to look forward to.

    cu lata.

Oooppppppppssssssssss. Hi DG. Hope you are fine.

    cu all

  36. DutchGooner10 says:

SUCK YOUR OWN LOLLIPOP SYRUP. WE KNOW YOU BEEN READING OUR BLOG. DON’T SH*T IN OUR HOUSE CAUSE WE’VE RUN OUT OF PAPER.

  37. agirlagunner says:

Boo! Well-done, rico. Something on a nothing day. I don’t even you. 😛

Scott, King Kong Bundy and Andre the Giant. 😆

    Hello, dev. Hiya Dutch. 🙂

  38. DutchGooner10 says:

    CU SCOTT / DEVIL

Marvelous idea coach. I’m gonna hook me a bottle from Captain Peacock’s stock. Hope you’re all being served today. 😉

  39. DutchGooner10 says:

    Hiya Butterfly,

Caught me just as I’m about to sign out. Phone is in the red zone and I need some battery life for a call.

    Everything ok I hope?

  40. tsgh says:

Hi Dg… long time. Hope you are well?

I just realised players like BFG, MA08 will be entering the last 24 months of their contracts… should we be renegotiating from now or what?

  41. Joaquim Moreira says:

    Afternoon all!
    Very hot here !
so, no new signs for Asia Tour 2013…. not a very consistent idea, I think

  42. bob john says:

Everything. And I mean everything is speculation. There are no reputable sources about any of these rumours. Even Higuainz. Its all bollox. very frustrating I know but what can wd do. My season ticket is on hold for a year.

  43. Paddywhack says:

When we signed Chamakh was he not on fire. Then what happened? AW brought back the traitor from injury, put Cham on the bench and then into the reserves and the rest is history. Badly managed. Also, didn’t Manuel save us against Barca, badly managed. The Management haven’t got a clue.

  44. tsgh says:

Listening to the spuddies on talkshite creaming themselves of paulinho is laughable…Brazilian Frank lampard they say..

  45. allezkev says:

    Dutch 1.38……

    Hey chillax mate…

Where did all that anger come from amigo???

Whatever happened to our cool crazy Dutchman…?! 🙂

Dutch, you need Peroni. It never fails… 😉

  46. allezkev says:

Yeah Rico, Sonogo is doing really well.

    But Sonoko has me stumped..
    Like a ‘Baggy Green’… 😛

  47. allezkev says:

Arsenal’s first senior pre-season friendly is only 7 days away.
So we should hear Arsene Wenger name the Touring party over the next 3 or 4 days?!

Therefore if Chuks Aneke or Nico Yennaris or Thomas Eisfeld are not in the squad, I guess we can deduce from that, that their futures as Arsenal players look slim?!

Miquel looks certain to tour (or he should be) as we will have only one left-back in the party plus our usual 3 centre-backs…
Gnabry should also go as he is the rising star among those youngsters working for an opportunity…

  48. useroz says:

Wenger and IG (and possibly the board)are up to their old tricks. They allegedly started talk on Wenger’s new contract. FFS, excuse my FRENCH.

Without completing our clearance sale, and signing up 3 genuinely WC players. FRankly with Fellaini available @ a price we’d afford, why we even mention Capoue (@ 8, 9m)? We must not settle for 2nd/3rd best and not another FRENCH…god forbids!

Don’t pay dross and average players the sort of money no other clubs pay and we’d be towards achieving financial prudence 101; not the false economy Wenger and IG spill out. And don’t say we had to raise the wages to fend off other clubs from punching our youngsters like Ox, gibbs, jenk, ramsey…who wanted them?? They linked to barca?? Totally unnecessary and self inflicting. If Ox is on 25K pw I think it’s fair; not the reported 50K. Ridiculous. Not dissimilar is Wilshere…what has he achieved?? Yes, some hype well what else? He took around 10 shots (NOT goals)the entire seasons. Jesus!

I can sense another disappointing transfer window GIVEN the clubs’s alleged available resources eg what IG said publicly TWICE before/after season end.

Hope I am wrong about IG and Wenger.

  49. Lee says:

Useroz, that’s exactly why lots of clubs are interested in our deadwood, until it gets to the nitty gritty of their wages! Surely Arsenal must of learnt by their mistakes?
Higuain, Rooney,Fellaini and Cesar….job done! Maybe Micah Richards if Sagna goes as he can play CB too…..
With that lot on board we’d scare the shit out of teams and the silverware would start to come!
I’m off for a run before its too hot, COYGS! & FOYS!

  50. rico says:

    Morning all

Back in for Capoue eh, not sure that’s such a bad thing, most who have watched him believe him to be a beast…

Lee – If hose 4 are done, my fiver is well and truly safe 😉

useroz – I actually don’t believe they are spinning us a yarn, not his time…

    Night Ak 😉
