Campbell sale to secure Carvalho signing? Mertesacker says Arsenal are weird….

Morning all.

Back in 1991 and on this very day, Arsenal received a guard of honour from Man Utd at Highbury having wrapped up the league title. In celebration, the team went onto batter the northerners 3-1.

Thankfully, our game against the Chavs isn’t this weekend as we’d have to do the same for them. Still, can’t think of another club better suited to honour the under tall one and his side than Brendas lot…

All this talk about Arsenal not winning the league title for ten years is odd isn’t it. When did Liverpool, a club steeped in history and labelled the best club in the country, win the league? The neighbours too, when did they really challenge top spot? There are many other clubs too who haven’t achieved what Arsenal have over the years and certainly not since the Premier League formed back in 1992, yet it’s only Arsenal who get highlighted for their ‘failures’…

Of the 47 clubs to have competed Premier League begun, only five have won the title:

Manchester United (13), Chelsea (4), Arsenal (3), Manchester City (2) and Blackburn Rovers (1).

Three of those clubs had money thrown at their managers left right and centre and as Kev mentioned a few weeks ago, none had to cope with funding a move to a new stadium. Arsenal were smart though, the stadium was built prior to FFP being in place and before new sponsorship deals would be completed. Now better financial packages are in place and we are good to go for many years knowing that money problems are a thing of the past.

Long gone are the days when Roman can hand his manager an open cheque each transfer window, the same up at City and with Utd not winning much these days, LvG will probably have to sell before he signs players or yet again pay overinflated prices for a player if they don’t make top four.

Arsenal still have a lot to do before getting Champions League football and 2nd/3rd place with just four games left and just twelve points up for grabs. Get that done, have a good summer in the transfer window and hopefully we’ll silence the ‘ten years’ label, just as we did last season with the ‘haven’t won a trophy for…….’ tag.

Per Mertesacker has been talking about watching on from the back:

We are so unpredictable in what we are doing, even for me at the back sometimes it looks a bit weird!

Sometimes we lose balance but sometimes it is really good so we have to keep going and focus on our game, especially defensively.

I wonder what he means by weird.. He’s right about being unpredictable though, sometimes we look sure to score but don’t and then when an attack seems dead and buried, we do the opposite. Arsene Wenger alluded to exactly that after the Hull City game:

The surprising thing of the night is that we scored the goal that we didn’t necessarily deserve to score and we missed the chances we should have scored.

Now to start firing home the goals we should be scoring because that together with maximum points from three of our remaining fixtures should be enough to get 2nd place.

Gossip:

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo report that Joel Campbell could be on the move to Sporting Lisbon in a deal which would see Arsenal sign defensive midfielder William Carvalho moves to the Emirates.

The Metro report that Arsene Wenger is tracking Lyon forward Nabil Fekir and Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour. Fekir’s father has already stated that his son would be keen on a move to north London if he does leave Lyon and Wenger has been reportedly impressed with Abdennour’s performances this season.

Keep them coming…..

Have a good Wednesday guys…

    Good read Rico..

I still don’t rate Carvalho as an answer to our supposedly CDM issue… at least JM shares a similar view from his ‘vantage point’…

Buy Gonalons’ or even Kramer to plug the hole if Morgan is beyond our ‘reach’ for ny odd reason…

    Morning Wath nd Snap…

Snap- TR07 plays DM for the Czechs sometimes…; he also play DM or part of the double pivot with Le Coq in January before Ozil returned and SC19 as redrawn into the o.6 role

  2. Wath says:

Ts, Carvalho blows hot and cold for me, still learning and the more I see the more I think he is maybe to slow in getting around the pitch to suit the prem lge, Gonalons or Kramer are quicker around the pitch both not vertically challenged and both can play a bit as well. Both would be a step in the right direction in my view and would complement the squad well.

  3. tsgh says:

lol Rico; I rate Coquelin as an upgrade on Flamini and JW as CDM; I just don’t think he has done as well as what most fans claim he has done as he is covered tactically by SC19 and before that TR07.

  4. tsgh says:

Ditto that Wath; Plus it snot my money but I don’t want to give any money to Jorge Mendez as you well know how I dislike him… lol

I will prefer spending the £25m on Ross barkley/McCarthy who I rate too and used to the EPL or even John Stone a proper English prodigy imho…

  5. Wath says:

Barkley has not had a very good season from what I have seen, think he is unsure as to what his position is so he either tried to do to much or doesn’t do enough…. JW I hear you say…. yep for more very similar also a season upset by injuries…! McCarthy is a decent option just think we can get better than him and I like Stone…!

Ah Mendez…. Yes a lovely gent and a footballing agent with dignity and ethics in abundance…. Not…!

Kramer/Gonalons/Schneiderlin or Kongdobia..! Anyone else fit the bill..?

  6. tsgh says:

Grzegorz Krychowiak from Seville.. watch him against fiorentina tomorrow night in the UEFA cup.. top top player; he is like Vidal in terms of fitness and toughness but less stylish…

  7. tsgh says:

You know I rate Geoffrey but I think he will be too much of a competition for king Abou and JW in the box to box role…

I can see him playing next to Sc19 who I think will be the replacement for MA08 in the libero role.

I hear you Rico re. TR07 not playing much this year but he did in the beginning of the year…

  8. Wath says:

Ooooops… I forgot Krychoviak Ts, top player….! Yes I like him, Seen a fair bit of him… Hard as nails and also not vertically challenged either…!

Geoff K I think can be a lot more disciplined and hold the midfield he has the power the tenacity and i think the brain to do so… Depends how AW see’s him..!

  9. tsgh says:

Geoff K has improve immensely playing next to Toulalons at Monaco.. my concern is how players like Ramsey, Kramer, Geoff k have all been used in advanced roles this season when on paper they should be DM…

I guess it comes with top managers attempting to win the ball in opposition half instead of in their half…

  10. Wath says:

Gregorz has been watched previously Ts….! That would not be an off the chart signing he just not a household name… Yet…! He 25 as well, spot on age and experience wise.

  11. Wath says:

Ts, you only have to look at Vidal last night… He was often the most advanced of the midfield players for Juve and hardly played as a DM…! Depends how the manager wants the midfield to close down the opposition. It’s for me the discipline they need to show on the pitch that when one goes the others stay and they don’t all go gung ho as we have done previously..! That’s the calmness Le Coq has given the side, he not really bothered about charging forward..!

  12. tsgh says:

…not saying Ramsay is a true DM but he has very good defensive qualities…

Funny listening to the commentator saying Kroos had not done well for RM as he had only scored 2 goals; goes to show those experts are clueless sometimes… Kroos has been the main CDM for RM all season so he is not expected to score 10+ goals imho…

  13. tsgh says:

Agreed wath…; The move to German helped Le coq tactically… he has alluded to that himself too…; Coquelin needed to change his game and it is commendable that he was able to do that himself to save his career. imo.

    we nearly bought Gregorz before he left Ligue 1 for Spain last summer and then last January… apparently AW was concerned with his discipline and pass accuracy…;

Gregorz struggled initially at Reim but did well at Nantes; he has surprised me at Seville I must admit…

  14. tsgh says:

😀 Rico. Abou Dhabi has the keys to London Colney so he will stay…Micko will be fuming. 🙂
King Abou is the hidden hand controlling AW.

  15. Snaparse says:

Good read Rico fekir is good he is on his way to the top I really like him.. …… Thanks for the info ts I don’t want rosicky to be sold but if we are to bring in another midfielder I can understand him wanting to leave

  16. tsgh says:

Re. Vidal last night it was interesting seeing Marchisio playing defensive next to Pirlo with Vidal assigned role of stopping Kroos.
Who ever gets Vidal next summer will be a lucky team imo…

  17. Snaparse says:

Krychoviak isn’t really good with the ball I like him but gonalos would be my first option then Morgan

  18. Wath says:

Not seen much of Wolfsburg Ts… I have read they are both playing very well….! Then again reading and watching two very different things…!

  19. tsgh says:

Every society needs pensioners Rico… 🙂
    don’t discrimination 😉
On a serious note though; you are right… we can’t afford to keep all the 4 including Flamster…

  20. Snaparse says:

Ts unfortunately I haven’t really watch alot of football this season but I have seen joshua a few times and he has been immense was impressed with him in Europe he was playing as the box to Box

  21. allezkev says:

    That’s 25 years for Liverpool…
    And it’s 54 years for Scummers…

    And the Media say………zilch…

  22. Wath says:

Why would the media mention the swampies…. They ain’t a big club….! The Chavs ain’t a big club never were never will be they just rich…!

As for the Northern media darlings… enough said…!

  23. tsgh says:

Wath- how can you say that? Are you not meant to be keeping tabs on the greatest striker (Bendtner) 🙂

I don’t know what to make of their resurgence..

Is it a mix of both BVB’s below par performance and Wolfsburg squad strength or just their squad…?
De Bruyne has been sensational; Schurlle has done his bit too…; Firmino is proving a player again this season.

Back to Gustavo and Josuha; both are passers so on paper it should not have worked but it worked for a while but then Arnold has come in for Josuha in the last few games.
    —————————————————————————–
Will you take Noidvert back as a CDM?

  24. Wath says:

Nordvert…. A simple No….. I think he has improved for sure and technically sound BUT there are better players out there and those are who we should be looking at.

De Bruyne is a class player…! We both liked Joshua last year and I thought he was worth a punt but again is a proper DM… Not really…!

  25. rico says:

Exactly Kev, so many other clubs think they are big yet what do they win?

But no, nothing heard about any of them…

  26. allezkev says:

Man City have won the league twice in 47 years…

During the same period Arsenal won the League six times, yet it’s us that get constantly dug out…

  27. Canadian Gooner says:

Good Morning to The Lady of the House and all fellow Gooners in residence.

Ginge – “I rate Coquelin as an upgrade on Flamini and JW as CDM; I just don’t think he has done as well as what most fans claim he has done…” For a man that is always quoting stats I’m surprised you are ignoring Le Coq’s. They are excellent. He is young, not the finished article and has much to learn, but has proved himself a fast learner. If we get an experienced CDM to share the load, I’m sure Le Coq will serve Arsenal well for many years.

As for Ramsey, he does have very good defensive qualities, but would be be wasted as CDM. We’d miss his goals. I wonder if he might not be the utility man when we lose the likes of Arteta and Rosicky?

  28. allezkev says:

Rico, Wath and All, not sure that I give any of the current transfer tittle tattle any credit at all.

It has the whiff of agents spin behind it…

It’s the rumours that have gone quiet that interest me as Wenger allows all these no -stories to run whilst they camouflage his real intentions…

  29. rico says:

    Morning Cg.

You know what, I absolutely agree with every part of your comment…. Ramsey is Cdm is a big no no for me, it would be a huge waste and going back to square pegs in round holes…

  30. allezkev says:

I can see only one big £25/£35 million signing in the summer…

Maybe a biggish name from either Real Madrid or Barca

  31. Canadian Gooner says:

Kev – The window doesn’t open for another 7-8 weeks and already we have been linked with dozens of players. I always had a suspicion that someone connected with the club leaks some of theses stories to misdirect other club’s from their true intentions. However, as you say much of it is agents &/or clubs trying to drum up interest in their own players. Most of the rest is just the pure fantasy, lies and rumours heard by lazy journos with few, if any, real inside sources.

  32. tsgh says:

Cg- You have a point re. wasting Ramsey in the DM role…

I am like a politician.. I only use stats when it fits my agenda. 😛

Seriously, I agree Coquelin is doing well; but bear in mind; Sc19 in the last 2 games clocked up more defensively than Le Coq…
Defensively his stats in the last 12 games is not far off Le Coq’s either but the media won’t say that…

  33. Canadian Gooner says:

It will be great if ManUre and the Dippers are fighting to their very last games of the season to get the last spot for the UCL and have to play the early qualifying rounds. It wont do anything good for their transfer plans and both will have to pay over the odds to attract good players.

  34. tsgh says:

Wath- I will take Nordveit on a free from Mong’bach. 😉 but you are right we can do far far better. he is obviously behind Kramer and Xhaka sohe won’t be the type that will get fans raving…

  35. scottfromoz says:

    Morning all.
Ginge, Coquelin has Improved us immensely, and though it may well have been with massive assistance of Tommy and Santi, it’s still he who was the missing link.
Intelligent players will make those a round them better, and though the older guys deserve a lot of credit, I wouldn’t undersell what the kid has brought to the table.

  36. tsgh says:

    Cg- Yanited will spend regardless imo…;
The Bale rumours seem to have legs; plus Pogba/Gundogan possibly…

the dippers business model was obviously built and counting on being in the UCL next season; however, the new TV money gives teams the financial buffer I guess…. they have lost their appeal too…

If Rafa returns I can see him bringing Higuain with him…

  37. Canadian Gooner says:

Ginge – “I am like a politician.. I only use stats when it fits my agenda. “. I’m glad you’re man enough to admit it, but comparing yourself to a politician is a certainly brave &/or rash.

Most of the transfer fees being quoted I can understand, but some of the wage demands are outrageous at best. How many of these 150,000 plus a week players can one team afford? Maybe we’ll see another team bankrupt themselves next season. It seems FFP is finally starting to level the playing field. Except for the likes of Real M. and Farcelona with their individually negotiated TV rights.

  38. Canadian Gooner says:

Rico – Yes, it is in our hands for a change. It’s great not having to sweat and wait for one of our close opponents to step on a banana skin.

  39. scottfromoz says:

Roman was very much behind FFP, and considering Chelski sold last year before they could buy, I’d suggest it really is taking effect.
Let’s face it, even Barca and Real can’t afford every top player they want…though I’m sure they think they can 🙂

  40. Bob John says:

    Hi all
I would love to see Jack alongside Le Coq reviving their old Youth team partnership. Jack really hasn’t had the luxury of a decent DM alongside him and think he would thrive alongside someone who can share the physical load and mean he wouldn’t need to throw himself into challenges.

  41. tsgh says:

    Bj- Coquelin hardly played in a partnership with JW at youth level as Coquelin was behind Frimps, Lansbury and Eastmond;
Contrary to popular believe even JW was not expected to play in the 2nd leg of the FA cup final until JW got injured 15 minutes into the game and so JW was moved from the wings…
Coquelin played mostly as a FB or came in when Frimp or Lansbury were absent…

  42. tsgh says:

Scott- I totally agree we have improved on where we are now as compared to where we were before we were beaten by the spuds…
I am still not sold on the view that this club has improved from last season imho…; bear in mind I also worship at the AW temple on the down low… 🙂

Compare our standing at this time of the year to the last 3 seasons or even last season.

Last season the main low points were the heavy loses to Liverpool, City and Chelsea; but folks forget we also beat a strong Suarez led dippers and then beat Man city too…

We merely finished 7 points behind City last May but we will be finishing at least 11 points behind Chelsea this season unless Chelsea suffer some loses…

At the beginning of this season we again comprehensively beat City in the Community shield…

Folks forget we have always been able to go 13 or so games unbeaten when the odds are stuck against us and when we have no UCL football to play…

2 seasons ago after we beat Fc Muchen we were amongst the top 3 team in the whole of Europe and had the best defensive record in the top 5 leagues…

Last season we led the league longer than any other team in Europe and flopped as we resumed UCL football and Ramsay got injured…

The fact is we are just able to sustain playing 3 competitive games a week over 2 months unlike our title rivals …
I love Aw but until he adds to the squad in key areas we will still fall short imho…

Some will argue that we will finish 3rd but in my view I would rather finish 5 points behind the champions and finish 4th than finish 12 points behind the champions in 2nd place…

  43. tsgh says:

.. in terms of measuring progress. (continuing from above post at 1:07

When Jose’ came into this league and we lost to him, AW said although we finished in 2nd place he thought we had improved because we gained more points than we had gained during the invincible season…

  44. scottfromoz says:

Ginge, I have no doubt we have improved, but obviously we still need to do more…I think we will take another step forward next season.
Will it be enough to win the League?
I can’t answer that but I’m willing to wager we will be right there when the pressure is on.
We have a much more seasoned and professional squad now…..just an extra top class player or two and we are there, IMO.

  45. Canadian Gooner says:

BT – Thank you. That was a very interesting article re the TV rights in Spain. If the proposals are passed into law that will certainly have a large negative effect on RM and Barca. The La Liga may finally be more than a two or three horse race.

  46. tsgh says:

I hope we have Scott…; we know City and Chelsea will strengthen so we will need more than 2 or 3 that AW is talking about unless Shad works his magic…
    Yanited will also improve…

AW and Fergie always use to say a team can only improve for 3 continuous seasons and then will need some pruning…

my worry is that Sc19, OG12, Coq pick themselves weekly and will continue to do that unless big signings are made..

Kosser and AS17 deserve their place; When Ramsey is fit he also picks himself and he is currently the only one in midfield who does what he does…

We need another option to rotate with him plus another CDM plus another striker and another CB imho…

If MA08 or TR07 leaves then SC19’s role becomes even more important as we will have a squad with only 1 no.6 to execute the brand of football AW likes to play…

Hopefully Serge and Ox will have an injury free season so they can help..

  47. Canadian Gooner says:

Ginge – The same old problem remains. Arsenal lack consistency and discipline. Since the Invincibles season they have always had a bad patch, usually around November. If they can play all season like have since the New Year then they could be considered true contenders rather than the proverbial bridesmaids.

Three or four good acquisitions over the summer in key positions could just make that difference. Also, Arsene has altered the tactics from outright cavalier attacking play to a more mixed and pragmatic approach based on the opposition.

Can they do it? Yes! Will they do it? Standby and watch this space and hopefully we will be in a better position come August.

  48. rico says:

Re Jack and Coquelin playing at youth level.

This is from Jack a little while ago:

“I’ve played with Francis in midfield since I was 15,” Wilshere told the official matchday programme.

“I used to wind him up by saying, ‘Listen, you do all the dirty work and the tackling and then let me have the ball!’ But the thing is, he loves that side of it. He’s really good at it, he’s tenacious, the way he always goes after the ball. Not everyone has that ability to win the ball back and to be aggressive’.

  49. tsgh says:

    Lol Rico.. back to Lg?

I am always positive… I believe the best time to look at oneself progressively is when moral is high.. poorly quoting Ellen Kullman here btw…

  50. Canadian Gooner says:

Ginge – I agree with your 1:25 pm.

With that I`m off. Have a great day everyone and I`ll catch you all another day.

    Keep The Faith!

  51. rico says:

Think I’m just glad AW is the manager and not you Ts, and I haven’t thought that about AW for a while, so thanks… lol

Finish 5th instead of 2nd? Why on earth would any Arsenal fan want that?

  52. tsgh says:

lol Rico you have brought this up numerous times whenever I have said JW did not play through the middle at youth all the time…

I never said Coquelin never played with JW; but Coq was only a CDM when others like Frimpong or Eastmond were not available..
JW and Frimp were best friends because even JW said Frimpong won the ball and play the ball to him at both club and country…

If you know anyone who truly saw the ’09 team on more than 1 occasion like myself they will say the same; Reason JW played on the wings at Bolton on loan…

I am certain Rick will vouch that..

JW only moved centrally in Fa cup final when Frimpong got injured and Sanchez Watt came on…
The game was started with Frimpong and Eastmond in the middle…; after the injury Eastmond and Coquelin changed position…

    http://www.arsenal.com/match/report/0809/post/reserves/youth-cup-final-1st-leg-arsenal-4-1-l-pool

  53. tsgh says:

Rico- please re read1:07; where did I say ”… I will prefer us to finish 5th”.. I said 5 points behind the eventual champions…

  54. rico says:

    Ts –

‘Bj- Coquelin hardly played in a partnership with JW at youth level as Coquelin was behind Frimps, Lansbury and Eastmond’

As for 5th place, my error, but i’d still rather finish 2nd/3rd than 4th and the manager clearly would as he’s said so just recently…

  55. tsgh says:

Not surprised you disagree Rico… 😉

Of course I would like to finish 2nd or 3rd but if finishing 2nd and 14 points behind champions translates to progress to you fair play…

In my view, finishing closer in points to the champions is a better measure than finishing 2nd and double digits or so points behind…

2007 to 2008 season is a typical example..

re Coquelin partnership ..splitting hair here… my understanding of BobJ’s comment of ‘ I would love to see Jack alongside Le Coq reviving their old Youth team partnership’ was both playing in CM together like Le coq and SC19 are doing now…

If me saying they hardly played in a partnership together is so inappropriate then it is what it is…

As an example I wouldn’t consider, Monreal and Per as a defensive partnership even though they both play in defence b…

Yes…JW and Coquelin played in midfield sometimes but they rarely played as a partnership…

  56. rico says:

No Ts, that’s not how I look at progress at all. But I doubt just 4/5 points off the eventual winner of the league would see us or any side 4th, the league is seldom that close…

Anyway, I’d rather we just won the league, that would make things more simple….

  57. rico says:

I merely posted Jacks words as it was relevant and factual from the horses mouth..

    I’m very calm thanks Goonster… 😉

  58. goonster says:

Nabil fekir reeks of samir nashit. We re just a stepping stone to those fuckers. Good player dont get me wrong but I ll rather stick with the OX. What’s with arsenal fans always wanting every other teams’ player but ours. If jack wilshere lecoq OG et al was playing for another team we ll be tearing our hairs out calling arsene a cnut for not buying them. I say screw nabil pig fucker and the other defender I ll keep oxchambo and Gabriel than you. Morning HH 😀

  59. rico says:

🙂 goonster. But we have to add 2/3 players from somewhere….

On that note, time for a walk in the rain so catch up later….

  60. goonster says:

Rico if I didnt know any better I ll say you and ts are a couple. My God sparks fly when you two go at it. Ginge my man could you make the first mover please. You guys ll make a hot couple 😀

  61. goonster says:

We don’t need 2 or 3 players rico. We made the best signing this past window. Shad Forsythe. Let him work his magic. If we can keep 95 per cent of our first 11 fit for the duration of the season then we ll win it. let’s see the chavs play without hazard matic and Terry for a long period of time and let’s see where they ll finish. Keep our players fit and watch us rip it. Am a huge fan of the OX and u think he’s just a free injury season away to super stardom. That kid is something else. If he were in chelshit or shitty we ll casting envious glances towards his direction. Fuck nabil fuckers I ll stick with the OX. He’s one of our plus he’s english and know the league.

  62. goonster says:

God in heaven brianna could you please stop tugging at my phone. You re making daddy sound like a coont. Sheesh.

  63. goonster says:

God no ts sheesh not at all. I just want our plyers to given more preferential treatment. bellems lecoq should be a classic example of what our players can achieve if given the opportunity. who would have thought bellerin ll pocket hazard for the whole 90 mins and held his own against jesus navas? Ts we need to encourage our own players. I hate it when those scums at shite fart lame chants “he’s one ours” it irks me. Plus 2 of my favorite players of all times are from the north African coast. Zizou and sabri lamouchi. Come on ts am not racist 😀

  64. Hell Raising Devil says:

Good Afternoon Beautiful Lovelies and Hunkies

I hope your evening will be as beautiful as you lot are

Good post Rico. But why not give them two or three players for Carvalho?? Podolski, Campbell and Sanogo would do. I doubt that they would fetch more than 20 mill between them.

Goonie you can never have enough players. you always need more and new ones to gee up those who have been here long.

But I am with you mate with regards to Fekir and Abdennour. Like you I would steer clear from them since I feel they have nasri’s looks.

  65. tsgh says:

lol Goonie… Theo is Rico’s type as we all know. 😉

As Tupac said the …… the berry the sweeter the juice… ;0

  66. tsgh says:

Goonie- I wrote a post talking up Hector 2 summers ago before the far east tour…

I got slaughtered for implying he was better than CJ25 then…

Goonie- Never say the r— word ;was just teasing you mate.

I scrap that, discriminating against Yao Gervinho is unpardonable… lol

    Hey Dev…

  67. Hell Raising Devil says:

aye Ginge. he is top class. but I have that sort of feeling about him, like i had when Anelka broke through. whatever he was doing could not motivate me. i felt a sort of unattached to him. I was sort of unemotional. and usually I am always right about my gut feeling on players.

  68. Hell Raising Devil says:

and bdw Ginge….this morning you asked me about the weather…….I will tell you that today its already gone up to 35 degrees. Imagine summer (horrors). its unbearable to go out between 11.00am and 16.00 hrs. too hot

  69. goonster says:

Dev he’s top class but Gabriel is a beas plus Hayden and chambers are not bad either.

  70. Hell Raising Devil says:

the only thing hot weather is good for is that you can hang clothes to dry on the washing line and after 30 mins you can pick them up.

and for ladies showing much more than usual. 😉

    hiya Goonie.

  71. goonster says:

Lol dev you should be retiring and leave the ladies to the young prince you old goat 😀

  72. tsgh says:

    you are cruel Dev.. 🙂
We have rain and elections news to contend with here… 😉

I agree re. Fekir; his fathers’ comment really troubled me big time…

    😀 Goonie… very shystie… 😉

  73. goonster says:

Exactly ts he sees us as a stepping stone to the barcas and Madrids and that’s what I dint want anymore. The mighty arsenal is nobody’s bitch. Let him join the sperms down the lane. they are a small team and a selling club. We re not anymore.

  74. Hell Raising Devil says:

you are never old enough Goonie. A man will always remain a man. Ask George Clooney…and he is a lot more older than me.

and there are enough ladies in the fish tank for the young prince as well. 😉

but on the whole……I SIMPLY HATE SUMMER!!!!!!

    nuff said

  75. goonster says:

Heheheheh I love summers dev. That’s when the hot Spanish mamacitas come out and play. you need to see them. Man alive they look scruptious 😀

  76. Hell Raising Devil says:

you said WHAT Goonie????? by any chance where you looking into the mirror and described yourself. Blonde adonis my ass. more like an old fart.

hi Drake. please be kind to Goonie. he lives in a parallel universe where he thinks he is the sun to all spanish planets.

lol Ginge. we turn the site into a harem??? now that is one I like.

  77. Potter says:

Hi. All. Zsa Zsa Gabor said that the trouble with men was that they go bald and get a paunch and get old but their eyes stay 16.

  78. goonster says:

Dev you know I am 😀 ask adam he ll tell u. They dont call me a blond adonis for nothing. I ve got skills my man mad skills.

  79. goonster says:

Hey potter who’s zsa zsa what?? Lmao is that even a name? I ll wager you just made that up right now. Lol

  80. Hell Raising Devil says:

holy cow…..you do not know who Zsa Zsa Gabor is??? oh Lord…Goonie. where do yo live?? in fartland???

Potter…..I do not have a paunch mate. But yes my BLUE eyes have stayed at 19 (not 16). And I shave my hair so that I look like Bruce Willis.

and what is wrong with admiring ladies??? a dog may be a man’s best friend but ladies are the sunshine of the universe.

  81. goonster says:

Hahahahaha you look more like Mr potato head in toy story….you Bruce Willis? ?? Naaaaaah. Lol

  82. Potter says:

I still have my hair and teeth and a paunch but that’s going as soon as I get mobile again. My eyes like what I see as long as there are no mirrors around.

  83. goonster says:

Potter that’s the spirit….am proud of you mate and I wish you speedy recovery. I ll say a prayer for you.

  84. tsgh says:

Nothing wrong with a pauch.. ask Jack Nicholson and Usmanov for that matter… 🙂
Just make sure your money is ‘long’…

  85. goonster says:

Ts you know your geography. Dev is just jealous he’s not blonde or an adonis like yours truly 😀

  86. goonster says:

Hey agag where have you been? You got rico worried. Are you ok? Nice to hear from you again. How’s manilla?

  87. goonster says:

Hahahaha dev Latin people don’t have blue eyes. Have you been smoking WATH ‘s weed??? 😀

  88. agirlagunner says:

    Hello, hello.

How’s everyone?? Goonie, just been busy with work. How’s Baby Bee? Hey, Ginge. How are you?

Dev, with the heat index (humidity blah blah) our temps here soar up to 42. Yuuuuuckkkk.

Great discussions today!! God, I am so out of touch with football other than Arsenal. Don’t even know half the players you guys mentioned. 😕

  89. goonster says:

And dev I ve never said I was a gentleman ….read my lips BLONDE ADONIS 😀 that’s what I is 😀

  90. goonster says:

Nah little mama lee don’t sell weed. Wath does. He’s the the chief weed seller in Peckham. Ask micko he ll tell ya.

  91. tsgh says:

    sad news…
I am not too bad Agag… good to see you back on here…

Are you gonna watch you boys Barca tonight? ;0

  92. Lee says:

I hope Wenger adds another two Sanchez-esque quality players…. the impact on the team has been immense since he joined!!! Plus a couple of players with potential….

  93. agirlagunner says:

ricooooo, I’ve missed you and our home. My new works leaves so little time for anything else. 😕 I wonder what I got into this time. Loool.

Ginge, of course!! I watch Barca, so that I find more reasons to hate them. 😀 😀

  94. goonster says:

Rico don’t you just love those chavs 😀 they re the highest of the scums. If there was a scum o meter I ll bet they ll be at the top.

  95. rico says:

Still raining Devil, but sunshine in between…. lol

Jeez, leave you boys alone for a few hours and you go ferrel… lol

  96. rico says:

We’ve all missed you too Agag, it’s kind of hard being the only girl on here these days. Even Emma has deserted us…

Lee, did you get in via NN?

  97. agirlagunner says:

rico, its an odious team run by an odious oligarch coached by the Especially Odious One; it follows it’s fans are hateful. Are we even surprised?

  98. Hell Raising Devil says:

just read those tweets. What can I say??? I am literally open mouthed. cannot believe that such morons exist. is it possible that someone can be insensitive as much as those tweets???

aye Rico. ladies are the blessings of the universe. they make the merry world go round.

  99. goonster says:

Wavy the one and only:D lee frequents there. As a matter of fact he has his Name on every door. That lee he’s a stud I tell ya.

  100. rico says:

How spooky, just turned on the TV and an advert for a garden product came on. The music in the background was Hot Chocolate singing ‘you sexy thing’…….

  101. Joaquim Moreira says:

yes, “o Jogo” wrote that report. “O jogo” isn’t “Metro” or another newspaper. It’s a very credible one. Campbell to sporting is perfect for them because Nani (M. United it’s on loan there) and can return to England (or not).
    Griezmann (A Madrid) Chelsea?
Arsenal it’s in the media becauseAliko Deuyté wants to be the next Arsenal owner….

  102. goonster says:

Rico you have way too much time on your hands 😀 let me take some off ya. How about a cruise to the Caribbeans we might actually run into gunnerDNA 😀 I miss him. bless his heart. So what do you say maam??

  103. goonster says:

Hey who’s this Africa’s richest man that wants to buy arsenal? ? How true is that? ? Is he as rich as the Russian fucker at chelshit??

  104. Micko says:

    Afternoon all,
rico 4.59, plenty of drama queens !

tsgh, how did you rate Bale last nite, touched the ball an amazing 18 times all nite, slated by the supporters and now Roy Keane throwing in a few truth bombs, dunno what’s more scary.

Stan, more like Chief Weed !

  105. Adam says:

ThoseTwitter trolls are some of the sickest, most repulsive things on this earth. What a classless, moronic and disgusting club that is. Yet all we read is how wonderful Mourinho is how brilliant Chelsea are. Gary Neville’s fawning over that man and that club changed my opinion of him forever. As a player Neville was a dirty, snide git and now he is in the pay of Sky he has reverted to type. He must be so pissed off that TH is earning much more than him that he can’t wait to stick the boot into Arsenal whenever he can. I actually much prefer Carragher these days. He has thought about his shortcomings as a pundit and really improved I think. Neville? Yuk.

  106. agirlagunner says:

Ginge, yes, re: Pique. 😀 I love Shakira though.

I will get back to footballing ways, rico. 🙂 And hang out here more than I do at online shops, I promise, haha.

  107. goonster says:

what’s up big guy? Are you ok? You don’t sound like your normal self. A little bit subdued. What happened?

  108. Adam says:

Who Goonster? Me? I am quite well really. Just bought a new guitar so quite up really. But I make an exception for all things Chelsea and now Neville.

  109. Lee says:

As my son’s rugby coach so eloquently put it “Terry is a good footballer but a cnut of a human being and he’s at home at that despicable football club!”

  110. rico says:

    Cheeky Micko…. Lol

Adam, I knew you’d be impressed, not! You know what, I wouldn’t p** on Mourinho or theirs fans if they were on fire…..

  111. goonster says:

Hahahahahahahaha that’s hard core rico….omg that’s the best punch line I ve heard all year. take a bow maam. You are a hoot. Hahahahahahahaha

  112. Hell Raising Devil says:

Forbes’ top 10 most valuable teams of 2015:

    1) Real Madrid 3.26billion (£2.13billion)

    2) Barcelona 3.16billion (£2.07billion)

    3) Manchester United 3.10billion (£2.03billion)

    4) Bayern Munich 2.35billion (£1.54billion)

    5) Manchester City 1.38billion (£905million)

    6) Chelsea 1.37billion (£898million)

    7) Arsenal 1.31billion (£859million)

    8) Liverpool 982million (£644million)

    9) Juventus 837million (£549million)

    10) AC Milan 775million (£508million)

  113. goonster says:

Lol dev you mean the scummers are not in the top 10?? You ll think with all their fanfare of being the best club in North london that they ll ne number 3 at least. For shame 😀

  114. Hell Raising Devil says:

yes Rico I agree……..we got more class……..but we have a lot of way to go before we can challenge Real, Barca and Bayern. look at the income they make.

Goonie……the frozen sperms are in 17th place I think.

  115. tsgh says:

Micko, Bale’s rights has been read to him.I read he is buying a property in Cheshire…

  116. Lee says:

Adam is indeed a true romantic…..a lover not a fighter however, Mrs A with her lightening hand speed is in fact the polar opposite! Extremely powerful for someone so slight!

  117. Lee says:

I read that too about Bale, in fact the length of stout rope with a used tyre attached to one end is being installed as we chat….

  118. Lee says:

When she lifted Kev’s cab up whilst he changed a wheel because he’d lost his jack, I knew she was strong!!

  119. Micko says:

Cheshire you say tsgh, that’ll be his last rites then !

No words for Lionel tonite, un-real, didn’t Arsene once say Walcott was better then Messi……….ahem, no-one’s perfect.

2nd place in the league this season will pretty much guarantee us Pot 1 in the CL again next season, Barca must be bricking themselves.

  120. potter says:

Messi is a genius , Neymar’s close control is not to bad either, against the two Suarez looks positively pedestrian.

  121. Micko says:

Two goals and an assist, the 3rd was a killer……..Monaco-esque.

    Gute Nacht Bayern, Nite Gooners.

  122. potter says:

A cursory look at the figures suggest that the complete pot for tv rites is about 650 million euro . Real and Barca take 188 million each and the rest is shared between the other 18 teams.

  123. allezkev says:

Mrs A is indeed a woman of immense strength, but she makes a fabulous cuppa.

    Adam, enjoy your picking buddy…

    Night All…

  124. Adam says:

Rico. I got caught in Kent yesterday in what can only be described as a maelstrom on a motorway so the sun and calm is welcome.
