Barcelona sniffing around, should Arsenal listen to their offer?

Morning all.

This season has flown by yet again. It seems like only yesterday when Man City rolled up at The Emirates to kick start our new beginning under Unai Emery. Here we now are, about to play our final home fixture of this campaign. Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck, Nacho Monreal, Carl Jenkinson, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Petr Cech all depart this summer unless any are offered a contract extension, meaning this is probably their last appearance in front of the home fans yet the odd thing is, none of them are likely to feature in anything other than the post match lap of appreciation. The women’s squad together with the under 18’s will be there too, both with something big to celebrate. Both are League Champions, a great achievement. I wonder how many of the under 18’s will enjoy a glass or two of the fizzy stuff….

All those departing I wish well for wherever their career takes them. For Cech, a long and happy retirement I hope.

I’ll leave with a few goals to watch from our newly crowned player of the season. A player Barcelona are apparently interested in signing.

Would you take a big money offer from the Catalan club if it came in?

I hope he gets a few more tomorrow, Aubameyang too. Enough to win the latter the golden boot.

Have a great Saturday guys.

Terrible officiating on show again. Toots should be down to nine and Bournemouth should have had a penalty…

Afternoon Rico and all. Spurs should be down to 8 now and they should have conceded at least one penalty. Forth was on for about a minute and commits a horrendous foul for which he is correctly sent off. Pochettino protesting vehemently. Pathetic.

  3. Cicero says:

Referee Pawson had a dreadful first half, but made amends with two dismissals, of Spuds, in the second. Great tactics by Bournemouth, hold off from scoring until stoppage time, no time for a Spuddy comeback. 😉

    Afternoon Rico and the house.

Its the 4th of May the day when great things always happen.
If you look back in time we have won leagues and cups on that day.
Today is another one we will remember for a long time, the spuds
have finally got what they have deserved for a long time.

Another reason I can celebrate its my birthday.

The protected teams are always the same. With the introduction of VAR, it will still be worse. I was seeing that the Totts did not lose with two players. sent off They could and should have more sent off.. In addition to an unmarked penalty. They are many errors, for a “exempt” referree.

Rico the u 18’s have one more game to play.
Derby u18’s have won the northern league and we will
be playing them in the National Final.
The date and venue should be announced in the next few days.
The winners of this game play in the Champions League U19 youth league next year.

    Afternoon Rick, happy birthday.

Oops re the under 18’s, oh well, they’ll still be there tomorrow, just no fizzy stuff… 😂

  8. rico says:

Agree Jm, VAR would have seen the down to eight and the penalty would probably have been given with Dier sent off.

I’m not fussed now they’ve lost though. They’ll be tired and have two players missing next weekend.

If we win can our last two, I reckon we’ll get top four along with Chelsea with the Toots missing out. Ok, I’m being optimistic but wouldn’t that be great…

    Afternoon all and thanks Rico.

Will them last 3 league games with no points come back to haunt us ?……………………if only we could have got half them 9 points……………4.5 ! hahaha

My minds more on the Spuds Ajax game, only if Ajax win or draw will I start celebrating !

As a Star Wars and apprentice Jedi Knight may I say Happy Bithday Rick and May the 4th be with you !

Great incentive to win that U18 Final against Derby then if it gets the boys into the CL U19`s League.

Did I say that I was shopping in Sports Direct the other day and walked past the Spuds shirts and sneakily spat on them ?……………………Class is what I am ! hahaha………………..it`s in the DNA, I just cant help myself !

Rico, that kid in goal was impressive, for sure.
Very comfortable and composed for such a young age.
