Aubameyang and possibly more says Arsene Wenger. Sanchez/Mkhitaryan finally at their ‘dream clubs!’

Morning all.

So it’s finally over. The Sanchez/Mkhitaryan deal is done, thank goodness for that. This story has has dragged on nearly as long as the Pat Phelan saga in Coronation Street. Not seen it? Well thank your lucky stars!

As expected, all the gushy comments about their respective new clubs has spewed out, so much so it’s embarrassing really. I’d say the comments from Sanchez are worse, from Fergie, to always wanting to play for what is the biggest club in the world and finally, the really odd farewell to Arsenal where right at the end he remembered to thanks the fans for their support. Sanchez didn’t wait too long before slagging off ex players who felt the need to knock him for moving purely for the money.

Mkhitaryan, well suddenly Arsenal are his dream club and he can’t wait to play for Arsene Wenger. Mkhi, don’t fib. We know you are only at Arsenal because you were pushed out. Pushed out so the Sanchez deal could happen but we won’t hold it against you, well, I won’t. All that matters to me personally is he forgets his torrid time in Manchester and gets back to being the player he was at Dortmund. The player who a number of fans here on HH wanted Wenger to sign before Mourinho nabbed him. He’s only just turned 29 years old, he should be at the peak of his game and hopefully, we’ll get to see that, starting tomorrow night at The Emirates against Chelsea unless he’s cup-tied.

We’ve lost a great player is Sanchez, there’s no denying that but until the two players get a few games for their new clubs, the jury is out on which club has the better deal.

“I have no doubt about his attitude, his commitment and desire to do well. It’s my challenge to get him to express his incredible talent.

“I believe we lose a world-class player and gain a world-class player. Mkhitaryan has the qualities to integrate into our game. He has a good team attitude. He’s very versatile. He can play in all kinds of positions.”

A slight dig at Sanchez there from Arsene Wenger?

Now the focus seems to be on getting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over to north London where he can link up with his old mate. Get that done and we’ll look pretty strong in our attacking force. On paper anyway. I bet Mesut Ozil is relishing the opportunity to link up with both players, Lacazette too as in all honesty, he’d been starved of service in the absence of of Ozil. Still, he grabbed one against Palace last weekend so hopefully now he’ll go on a bit of a goal scoring run.

Wenger on Aubameyang:

“You never know how close you are, it is one of the possible movements, but we have other things in mind, we have plenty of opportunities in different positions. So the final decision is not made. Confident or not confident, I don’t know. We are not close to a deal for Aubameyang with Dortmund or anybody else.”

Reports suggest Dortmund want Giroud, either that or an extra 15 million Euros but whether that’s true or not who knows. As for any other players coming in this month, well the Frenchman said this morning:

‘WE ARE BUSY’

“We can buy players, we are busy on all fronts, we are open minded. Every opportunity we have to strength our squad we will take.”

Go and sign a proper defensive midfielder then!!

See you in the comments guys.

  1. Goonster says:

Great post Rico but I really do believe micky wants to play for us all along. He said back in 2008!?? While at shaktar that we are his favorite team. I don’t think we got the best deal but we made the best out of s worse deal. Getting micky or losing Sanchez for free?? I know what deal I ‘ll strike plus selling him last summer won’t help us. Stan and lefraud ‘ll probably pocket the 35 or 40m quid and not reinvest in the team. I believe micky ‘ll come good. He has eastern European grit and flair. A eye for a pass and shoots from distance( Wenger ‘ll probably coach that out of him..cnut). Plus he has a point to prove to all who labelled him a flop. I believe him ozil and jack Wilshire (the triumvirate see what I did there ?) will rip the opposition to bits. Our triangles ‘ll be back again and we ‘ll play some sensational football in a few weeks. Next stop get ozil to commit and sign a proper DM. Good times are ahead Rico. COYGS ?

  2. Lee says:

“I have no doubt about his attitude. He suffered a bit with the competition he had at United.

“That his challenge and my challenge to get that out here.”

Asked where the Armenian fits into his current line-up Wenger said: “It depends on the team’s performance and his performance in training as well.

“I’m confident it will work. He can play in all types of positions and through the middle as well.”

    Wenger.

  3. rico says:

I think so too Goonster. Also, give Wenger the money for Sanchez he’d bank it probably. Saying that, it seems he’s not in the loop with signing players these days…

    Spot on Lee.

  4. Lee says:

Wenger was asked about Arsenal being labelled a selling club…

“No, I’m not worried about that,” said Wenger when probed about how the Sanchez departure will effect Arsenal’s status in the game.

“When players get to a certain age and want to go you have to respect that.

“We are a serious football club with responsibilities and we will spend the money that we can afford.”

  5. Lee says:

Wenger is cautious about handling questions over his pursuit of Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Asked whether he was confident of landing the Gabonese striker he replied: “Confident, I don’t know.

“At the moment we are not close to doing any deals with him or anybody else.

“You never know how close you are. At the moment it’s one of the possible movements, the final decision is not made.

“We have other things in mind as well, plenty of opportunities and different positions in mind.”

Would he allow Giroud to go the other way?

“Look, the negotiations are not as far as that.

  6. Lee says:

“I believe we lose a world class player and gain a world class player.

“Overall I think Mkhitaryan has the qualities to integrate into our game. He has a good team attitude as well. I’m confident it will work.

“He can play in all kinds of positions. He is very versatile and it should help us going forward.”

    Wenger.

  7. rico says:

Mikh has more chance of doing well with us than Utd though. Mourinho is a boring defensive coach. Wenger is an attacking… err, well, he likes to attack while neglecting the defending..

  8. Kk says:

    Good post rico. .
Mixture of apathy and excitement feelings at the same time at the moment. .
at least we are not linked with kalou or flaminy again!

I d be happy to drive Giroud all the way to Dortmund. He has been pants all season. .

Mourinho may not win the PL this season but the bastard knows how to win in Europe. .he might go all the way and lift the big one. .it’s depressing just to think about it!

  9. Lee says:

Former England and Newcastle striker Alan Shearer:”I think it is good business for both clubs.

“Arsenal are getting rid of a player who doesn’t want to be there, but they are also getting a player whose face maybe didn’t fit at United, but who is much better than he’s shown at United.”

Ex-Arsenal striker Ian Wright:”The way Sanchez is playing [this season], I can’t see how it is going to hurt Arsenal.”

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke:”Having a player of that quality added to our squad, with the great ability we’ve already got up front, this will be an absolutely fantastic deal for us to get such a quality player.”

Ex-Manchester United and Stoke defender Danny Higginbotham:”He’s that match-winner. I’m not comparing him to Eric Cantona but he’s one of them that can turn possibly a drab 0-0 into a 1-0.”

  10. Lee says:

Chile forward Sanchez, 29, has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal.
    • It’s said to be worth £14m a year after tax.
    • United rumoured to be paying £15m to Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich
    • Sanchez will reportedly earn £350,000 a week at United
    • That salary will rise to £450,000 when his image rights are added in, and £600,000 including bonuses.

    Is he happy though??

  11. Goonster says:

Mhki ‘ll kill it with the ozster. He ‘ll be a man reborn. I actually see us playing 2007/08 football in a couple of weeks. Sanchez was a good player but also a ball hugger. He ‘ll fit in well with rashford. We ‘ll only miss his goals which is mainly against mid table teams. We won’t miss nothing else. He kills our counter attack most of the time. Loses the ball like a billion times a game. So no loss there. If auba can replicate his Dortmund form we ‘re in for a cracker. Fuck Sanchez the future is Uber???? COYGS

  12. Wavy says:

    Morning Rico and all.

Mik in Spandex out. One for the other is not the worst deal in the world, especially if the Armenian becomes the kind of game changer that Alexis could be. I’m sure we’ll miss him but not as much as many would think! Giving the ball to the opposition 33 times in the first half a of a game I don’t think will be replicated by our new super signing! We’ll see, we’ll see!

Auba to Arsenal, I doubt this bit of speculation. Imo Wenger doesn’t want him. He never has but he’s playing the suitor game just in case the guy gets bought without his say so! I super that the procurement of players has been removed from the old wrinkly one’s job spec! Again, imo that would be no bad thing since has been responsible for buying some real dross in the not so distant past!

Anyhow it all be revealed in a week or sos time! Cloudy here but quite bright.

  13. Goonster says:

Kk mourinho won’t win in Europe for a long time mate. He didn’t with the best Chelsea team in a 100 years. He didn’t with ronaldo ozil higuain et al at Madrid. He’s a busted flush just like Wenger. There are 20 to e0 managers out there that ‘ll wipe the floor with him. Am not worried about mourinho but manure they are building a world class team for the next manager. Maureen ‘ll be gone in 18 months. Mark my word.

  14. rico says:

Thanks Kk, I’ll pay your petrol money for the drive with Ollie…

Champions League is different to the Europa though. Who have Utd got in the next round?

  15. potter says:

Wenger looked nervous when being quizzed on transfers but relaxed when the subject changed to football . He will talk about football all day it’s where he is comfortable, I just wish the reporters would ask the right questions.
Now that Sanchez has gone , perhaps we should reach out to Scott again . I miss his Australian interventions , It gave me things to read whilst the insomnia was kicking in.

  16. Goonster says:

Exactly Rico the CL is the biggest trophy in club footie. There are more than a handful of managers that ll make Maureen their bitch. My fear is manure getting allegri sarri or maybe Diego Simone. Maureen is done as a world class manager.

  17. Goonster says:

He is lee. He ‘ll win the odd fa cup Europa league etc but CL pl won’t be a walk in the park for him like it was in the past.

  18. Kk says:

Yes goonster, but he won 2 champions leagues with shitty squads and shitter tactics ?..

With the squad he has and his gritty tactics I think it’s quite possible to be honest. .

anywho we have the carabao and uefo cups to look forward to..lol

  19. Goonster says:

Kk shitty squads?? Deco derlei maniche et al shitty squads?? Plus both times he won the CL the big teams were in transition. Plus that’s almost 7 to 8 years ago. Football has moved on since then. He got lucky in 2004 Chelsea stopped us and lost to a lowly Monaco in the final.

  20. Goonster says:

If the invincibles had beaten the chavs may be just maybe we ‘ll be European champions by now. There’s no way in hell that Porto team would have beaten us in the final. Not with veira Gilberto Henry bergkamp pires…no way kk. He got lucky both times. The second time with inter pep and Barcelona underestimated him and lost both legs 3.1. In the final he met a disjointed Bayern team. Maureen won’t replicate that any time soon. He’s dead. Done.

  21. potter says:

Certain managers have a limited shelf life . ( don’t we know it ) Maureen’s time is coming up his tactics will get overtaken soon . There will always be new thinking and the old guys get left behind. Very few manage to reinvent themselves. The only old timer that I would trust to steady our boat is Ancellotti until we identify the next generation.

  22. Alex says:

Good afternoon and thank you for nice reading.

Sanchez …good luck on your new adventure and i believe he gave us good 3 years. But not all was well.

Le Prof can brag as much as he want fact is
Sanchez was a good footballers among speed merchant that they dont bring anything into the game.

He just left for the same reason of others before him.

Big respect for Guardiola .He made clear to Sanchez that he only need him for footballing reason and fir what is worth of.

  23. Alex says:

    Next to get rid off….is….Ramsey.
Throughout his stay has one seaon on which he score some goals and he got away easily.

I realy like the new regime …..signing Auba surely signals Ramsey days are over.
    Luv it.

  24. Alex says:

    Rico
Laca Aub Mik combination plus Ozil am Matiland

Ramsey and Simply on the bench

The new regime seems they have a good look at the dross accumulated and look like they dont have simpathy to his pets.

Wally and Coq riddance is enough signal for me.

  25. potter says:

There are 62,291 shares in Arsenal. Kroenke has just bought 22 for £616,000 this means each share is now worth £ 28,000 making the club worth more than my calculator wants to do. Apparently there is a short scale billion and a long scale one .

    Help.

  26. allezkev says:

According to German newspaper Bild, Arsenal have initially bid €50m for Aubameyang.

Yesterday Gazides and Co raised that bid to €55million so say Bild – I have no idea how they know, but there ya go…

Today Bild are reporting that Arsenal have gone in with a 3rd bid of €58m…

Dortmund are thought to want €70m so we should just about get him next Monday or Tuesday!!!

  27. Rick says:

    Evening Rico and the House,
The U23.s are playing Bayen Munich in the International Cuup
A great goal by Dragomir and a 2nd by Jeff has made it 2-0.
No Eddy or Reiss they are in the squad for tomorrow.
More Later in the International Cup

  28. Le Coq Monster says:

Evening all and thank you Rico.

Listen to talkSPORT………read blogs…………..speak to people and everyone is of the same opinion……………we need a quality DM and CD……………….we must all be wrong !.

What a bummer !…………………..Kroenke increasing his share intake, that`s worse than Alexis going to a Kroenke hater like me !…………………………………club worth over 1.742B and he still has invested £0 in the team and club !……………………………..we got Aubangayangadingdong yet ?…………………..still haggling over pounds ?……………………….do we know of any multi-billionaires who own our club who could just invest some loose change ?

See Manshafter have made over £500M !

  29. Le Coq Monster says:

Manshafter`s net debt of £260M could be repaid twice over, but they run a sound self-sustaining model like us, but spend much more, wish we could buy a player like Alexis !………………………………..and keep him ! hahaha

  30. Le Coq Monster says:

And the other side of Manchester is playing a weakened team against Bristol City, just like we did against Forest in the FA Cup !…………………………love sarcasm, lowest form of wit, bollox it is ! hahaha

  31. Rick says:

    F/T 5-2 Smith Rowe
Scored 3 goals in 6 mins.
Smith Rowe Dragomir Jeff and Mavropanis very good
Top of group and in Q/F

  32. gnarleygeorge9 says:

How are the under 13’s going?

With the latest transfers, will Arsene turn the Club’s fortunes around?

Arsene needs to ride off into the managerial sunset, & let us all (tourist & local fans together) move on from his dictatorship. The Club’s fortunes have stagnated. The Caribu or Moose Cup whatever it is these days is chicken feed for fans who were promised the world once the stadium was paid off.

Just go Arsene!!! It’s not Arsene Knows, it’s more Arsene is on the Nose. Arsene must either be thick skinned or is too scared to face his next challenge, retirement. Get out Arsene, & give a younger bloke a go.

  33. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    Ode to Arsene

    “So what you gonna do?
I wish you would come and tell me.
    So what you gonna do?
You’re the problem, now you solve it”

  34. rico says:

Sorry to have missed you Rick, thanks for your updates on our Academy, it’s the best way for us to stay informed. Kev is right, as are you, we have some great younger players coming through, players who in time might bring The Arsenal back into Arsenal. To beat Dortmund, even at a younger level is always a positive thing for the club.

Ignore the ‘under 13’ swipe, some fans might not be interested in our youth players but the majority, certainly on here are. After all, they are our future…

    Morning all.

  35. Lee says:

Hopefully Wenger will be gone when this crop of players come through, so he can’t ruin them!

Cheers for the updates Rick, shame the senior side couldn’t replicate the U23’s form….

  36. Adam says:

Morning Rico, Brudder, Rick and all.
Rick. It certainly seems as if we have a talented bunch of players coming through. After you mentioned it, I watched the U 23’s game against Man Utd a week or so ago online. They were impressive and I thought Mavropanos, in particular, looked very promising.

  37. rico says:

    Morning Adam.

Our new Greek defender looks solid doesn’t he. Strong for a younger guy, certainly appears stronger than Chambers and Holding. More assured on the ball too.

  38. Goonster says:

Just heard we ‘re talking to west brom for Evans. That’s interesting. If we get Evans mhki and auba that’s a good window. We might eventually make top 4 and win the Europa or EFL cup.

  39. gnarleygeorge9 says:

You have been reduced to following the Undies rico. That’s Wenger fault, & the other 3 arseholes in his 3 ringed circus. It’s got nothing to do with me. I’m just telling it how it is, & it looks kind of sad really that all of a sudden the Under 23’s are the gr8 hope, like 50/50 cricket is for england ?

  40. potter says:

Ouch , miaoww scratchy scratchy scratchy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    .
I started at Arsenal seeing the football combination team and like most kids followed the South east counties results when I could get them.
Nothing wrong with keeping an eye out for their scores and how players are developing. We all know that out of the 20 or so kids playing only 1 or if your lucky 2 will make it to the top but it’s fun watching their progress. Now in my 70’s if I lived nearer I would go to watch them , their football is often more entertaining than the first teams anyway.

  41. rico says:

Actually Gg, that’s poppycock. I’ve always maintained an interest in the Academy players and was thrilled when Setanta Sports used to show all their matches live. I don’t need Wenger or anyone else to push me anywhere, certainly not when it comes to our club. I watch the women’s matches when I can too, is that Wenger’s fault??

    Please don’t make assumptions…

  42. rico says:

Potter, have to say that if I lived nearer, I too would go and watch the Academy sides, and the women.

We have some quality players at under 23 level and I really hope more than the odd one or two make it, although Gg is proof that many fans don’t have the time or patience with youth. Me, well I think there’s nothing better than seeing a proper Arsenal boy work his way into the first team.

  43. potter says:

I try to go if our youth are playing Norwich at Carrow Road but if they play at their training ground there is no public access which is disapponting although I think it’s the same at London Colney.

  44. gnarleygeorge9 says:

I am not having a go @ anyone for following The Arsenal 2’s or 3’s or U/23’s. My point is that Wenger has reduced the supporter base to dining out on crumbs or so it would appear.

You need to piss him off out of it, because all other clubs are taking the piss @ Arsenal fans expense. And it won’t/it can’t get better until he goes. Wenger has lied again, he sold another player to manure. That is treason in anyone’s language. I will never trust the fella ever again. Self centred old phuck that he has proven to be.

And I know you agree with me re Wenger rico, it’s just this Arsenal fan is tired of mincing his words with some old bloke from a by gone era who holds the fan base to ransom.

  45. Le Coq Monster says:

No brainer to me, if I was close to the youth matches I`d go every game, no stress !……………..plus if I`m correct some of the games at Boreham to death`s ground were free entry !………….plus it would have nice comfy seats, bloody uncormfortable watching the local youngsters from behind a bush !…………………..:

    😆

  46. rico says:

You’re right re Colney Potter which is a shame. No idea why the gates are closed though. Can’t be safety reasons surely..

Gg, you have your view, but don’t take cheap swipes at Rick, Kev, or others who like updates on the youth. It’s really unnecessary. As you know only too well, most here believe Wenger’s time is up but it makes no difference how we express that on here as it’ll make very little difference.

And no, the club/Wenger have not reduced me to feeding off the crumbs as I doubt the other guys on here have been either. We just support the total club, not just the first team.

    As I said, don’t make assumptions….

  47. Adam says:

As far as selling Alexis to Man U is concerned. For whatever reason, Sanchez didn’t want to stay and was going to walk away at the end of the season. I can understand why the club thought it was wise to get rid of him now and at least have something to show for it rather than wait and get zilch. It may well be thought to be Wenger’s fault that he didn’t think his winning ambitions would be fulfilled at Arsenal but, faced with the same scenario, I think the club probably took the right course of action. Whether it works out in the long run we will wait and see.

  48. potter says:

As was proven yesterday as Stan tightened his grip on the club , not much is going to change in policy. So we might as well get used to it.
GG our biggest problem is that as much as we protest about the Frenchman , he has selective hearing and only hears what he wants. We know that he sideswiped Gazidis at the last occasion that Stanley popped his head over the parapet by meeting him privately and signing on before the meeting. I now believe that this is not his last contract and that he will stay in one form or another in the board room whatever until he dies I can’t say that I am wishing that on him but while the ship is sailing it’s cargo of ever increasing value to the KSE pot , he aint leaving. He has no intention of going it’s his life. He is now acting in his own self interest rather than the clubs. kind of selfish if you ask me.

  49. potter says:

Alexis seems to be getting caught up in wars of words. Today we have Thierry Henry denying a statement from him saying that Henry told him to leave Arsenal . I can’t imagine that being the case , I can see him upset by some other comments but even if it was said in private , he should have the nouse to keep it that way.

  50. allezkev says:

GG, I don’t agree that the League Cup is chicken feed, Mourinho never took it lightly and winning it usually led to more trophies for him in any given season, winning trophies is a great habit to have.
Pep Guardiola has certainly taken it seriously and make no mistake, if we get to Wembley Pep will play a full strength team and try to give us a good hiding.

  51. rico says:

Alexis just trying to justify his decision perhaps Potter.

Agree Kev, that was a strong City side out last night and they still conceded twice..

  52. frednerk says:

    Afternoon Rico and All
Love the idea that Sanchez is getting
every penny he can out of the greedy
    yankee brothers….
Just imagine the look on the faces of
    The Manc squad,when the little
Chillie Pepper opens his wage packet
every week, and half -a-mill falls out.
    Happy Days Josaaa.

  53. frednerk says:

Disagree Rico good deal for the club,
Shity offered 60million for him,any other
business the manager would be banged up.
Making the best from a complete cock-up,
has some how got us all thinking he has
    half a brain.
No way was Sanchez ever risking a broken leg.

  54. allezkev says:

As far as the Youth and Stiffs are concerned GG it makes no difference to me how well the 1st team is doing as it’s a totally different part of the club, like Potter I started in the early 60’s by being taken to see the Football Combination by my Dad and have always retained a keen interest in the Arsenal academy, regardless of what the senior team is doing.

Plenty of Arsenal fans have absolutely no interest in our youth and focus totally on the 1st team, that’s fine it doesn’t bother me in the slightest, my interest is my interest, if others aren’t interested then good for them and good for you.

Btw I’ve not been following the 50 over games although when I last looked England were 3-0 up, which I guess is good as far as the World Cup is concerned.

  55. allezkev says:

Yep, City are a great side to watch Rico, but it’s gonna be tough tonight, I expect to see it go to extra time, hopefully Moses will get himself sent off again, it always helps.

  56. rico says:

Afternoon Fred, I did say ‘under the circumstances.’ 🙂

£60m in the summer would have been a far better deal but then who would Wenger have signed?

    Kev, I reckon we’ll go out sadly…

  57. rico says:

Karl Robinson has lauded the pace in his Charlton Athletic side – and admits loan signing Stephy Mavididi is too good for League One.

The Arsenal striker started the campaign on loan at Preston North End but struggled for game time before he came back for a second spell with the Addicks.

“He is above League One standard but was not given the opportunity,” said Charlton boss Robinson. “Yet again young players get pushed to one side.

“In all my years of doing this, I’ve never seen what I’ve got in this team. I’ll honestly say that the pace, power and acceleration is unreal. When was the last time you saw a team with this much pace?”

  58. Le Coq Monster says:

Aparrantly there was a UEFA Nations Cup draw today !……………………….I really dont give a shit !………………………I honestly would rather watch Arsenal youth teams.

Unlike Kev and Potter, I was thrust straight into the watching of Arsenal`s first in 1965 and then took an interest in the reserves afterwards………..hard core is what I am……… straight in with a rattle, rosette and peanuts …… hahaha

  59. rico says:

What is that all about Lc? I was watching Ss’s and still don’t understand – as if we need more international fixtures eh..

  60. Le Coq Monster says:

No idea Rico, Potter is probably right, but at the end of the day I`m not a bit interested !………………….used to be and loved Arsenal players playing for England, then they started getting injured to the detriment of the more important AFC !
Feel like there is a hollow feeling in my life when ever meaningless internationals are played and we haven`t a game for two weeks !……….hate it !.

  61. Kk says:

    Have we signed Auba yet?
He might still do a Vardy on us..
    Fingers and everything crossed!

Morata absent! Not sure if that’s good or bad!

If we can keep Hazard and Alonso quite we have a chance.
    Over to you Hector. .

  62. frednerk says:

Lets hope the new mick o shay is not
    a rick o shay..guy’s.

Rico..The club/Arsene should be hung out to dry
    over Sanchez.
All them years of selling our best player’s and
being told we had to pay for the ground,
    somehow seems to be forgotten.
Rico I know where your coming from.

  63. rico says:

Jack didn’t miss an opportunity to send out a message, ‘we won the last game, won tonight, we’re in a good place.’

    Let’s hope so eh…

  64. Wavy says:

Thank goodness we had Rick o’shay on our side to score our goals!
Still they all count, if you don’t take the shot you won’t score the goal!
Great result and we played well enough tonight, well enough to suggest we may finish 5th in the league. After all 5th is the new fourth, because we don’t need the CL money any more. We are the 5th richest club in the world! Why would we want to win silver, it needs polishing after all.
I’ll go to Wembley, if someone pays my expenses!

GG this is for you and if you are reading it I think you should go walkabout you are not going to like it.

How many cup finals are we going to reach this week
    1 down 2 to go.
On sat our U18’s are playing Norwich in the semi final of the U18 premier league cup.
At the same time our u16’s are playing Everton in the semi final of the U16 league cup.
And I will be posting up dates on both Games (if i can)

  66. Kk says:

We were always going to win that..
    2 Lucky goals, willian hamstrung..
and Hazard tripped over himself. .lol..

we played with comittment and discipline in the 2nd half, so well deserved victory at the end. .
Man c will be a different animal though.

rico flapiowbi needs to practise his shooting more. .he hit the ball like …..you know. .little boy ..lol

  67. Kk says:

Yes he did a lot better today that’s for sure..but he is still long way to deserve a regular spot imo..however, he is arsene kid and we gonna see him play regularly for the foreseeable future. .
I hope he doesn’t turn out to be another sanogo though!

    Rick

Are you picking in me, ‘assuming’ I was having a go at you. You have taken my comments out of context. So let me put you straight on this mon ami!

You & your fellow long time Arsenal supporters would not know what it is to be down as a club, no idea. But I have been down, my Club here was down for 37 years, winning nothing, zero, zilch apart form a reserves premiership in 1997 & an under 19’s premiership in 1989. Oh, yes, I know what its like, but you don’t know, none of you do as to what its like to be the brunt of all opo supporters jokes, for near on 40 years, that’s of Biblical proportions that is. And in that time all I had were the undies, 2nds to follow. I even got a kick out of wining the mini league played by infant kids @ half time of the seniors games. Everyone knew it was a cop out talking about the ‘stiff’s’ as you call it or the Scooby Doos (the 2’s) as we call it, etc. But u all wouldn’t know coz half a season in relegation in the early to mid 70’s isn’t being down is it.

The point I was making, with the lingering of Wenger, was that there seems to be a more concerted interest in the U/23’s, etc which is a natural thing for some when their club appears to be creeping down the table. But whats the point, Wengerism doesn’t produce super stars, so why get all worked up about the kids coming thru while arsene lingers on.

So, pick on some one else, coz I’ll walk off into the sunset, easy, & wow we get great sunsets here 🙂

BOOOOOM Xhaka Lhaka Lhaka!!! My man Granit scored the winner so I have no qualms about the win. It must be a hollow victory for some on here, due to Granit being “shit” apparently, which seems to have been the chorus ever since he arrived. Its a bit like the build up to last years F A Cup which I was the ONLY one on here who predicted The Arse would win. I said last season the Suga Xhaka should be captain, amongst all the constant ridicule he has come under from Arsenal supporters who jump off a player as quick as the English dumps on its allies.

My better judgement tells me that its time this tourist moved on, otherwise he might become the replacement for Scotty2Hotty as the token ‘tourist’ that gets picked on for speaking his mind.

P.S Arsene Wenger is positioning himself for another contract extension, it sticks out like Kim Kardashians arse. So “don’t make assumptions…” rico that he will be gone by May 🙂

  70. rico says:

GG ‘token tourist’ my backside. Things were fine until you commented on the ‘under 13’s’ but fine, if you want to disappear into your glorious sunset, then fine, enjoy it.

Comments like ‘My man Granit scored the winner so I have no qualms about the win. Anyway, I would say it’s been a pleasure, however…

I expect AA has been missing you anyway…..

    Morning all.

  71. Lee says:

I agree Kel but I’d like Ozil to stay especially if he can replicate last night’s performance! Threading balls through for PEA….mouth watering prospect imho!

  72. Kel says:

unfortunately lee I think we all suspect that yet again another great player might leave the club… I just hope he doesn’t sign for utd.. ffs

if mahrez did arrive at least someone at the club has decided to be proactive for once in trying to get ahead in terms of replacements, why wait until summer when you can do it now.

we migh as well use the rest of this season to bed these possible new players in with the hope of hitting the ground running next season..

  73. Kel says:

Wouldn’t it be typical Arsenal to buy Lacazette and Aubameyang and then let the king of assists walk out the door for free..lol..

we also need to get jack signed up (what’s holding it up?) and imo give him the captain’s armband.. he’s the natural choice.

  74. Adam says:

Morning Rico and all. Shocking start last night but, slowly, the cogs began to turn and we deserved the win I thought. Hazard really is a ghastly little man, but then I knew that anyway. 🙂
    What’s all this Mahrez stuff?

  75. rico says:

    Morning Adam.

I reckon Ozil is staying now that Alexis is gone. My thought is the club was only prepared to give one player a big pay rise.. ?

    New post up now…
