Arsene Wenger Promises Big Changes! You Up For This Arsenal??

Morning all.

Don’t get too excited, Wenger is not promising to spend many millions of pounds in January on a Centre Back, Central Defensive Midfielder or any other players which we so seriously need, he’s just saying that the team today will be very different to the one which lost at home to Southampton in midweek.

No surprise there really and that’s not me knocking the players who did play on Tuesday, especially the young ones as their time will come.

Today is about maturity, experience, passion, belief, work ethic and the will to win. And of course it’s all about beating the team we were born to hate!!

Today is about winning, it’s about beating, no, battering the local rival, the club which likes to think it’s a big one, but in all honesty it’s not!

Tottenham have always been and will always remain a club which sits in darkness! Why? Because over their head is a huge shadow, and that shadow is the Mighty Arsenal!!

And that will never change!
And that will never change!

There might be three points going begging and of course they matter for league challenge, but this isn’t just about points, it’s about about prizes and there doesn’t come a bigger prize than battering the noisy and nasty neighbours!!

One of Wenger's better records...
One of Wenger’s better records…

Right gang, go and batter those boys, the boys who will never become men, not all the time they play for the wrong side of North London!!

Go make sure that they are and always will be forever in our shadow!

They are Tottenham but we are The Arsenal, we are The Arsenal!

Go and do yourselves proud, do the club and it’s history proud, go and do the shirt proud.

And go and do each and every Arsenal fan proud!!

And those at the Emirates, go and do your club proud, get behind the team from start to finish because they need you, just as much as you need them!!

COYRRG’S!!!!

Hope it’s a great day…….

    Morning, rico, All,

Hmmm…Can there be a fiercer war cry?

I’m always very cautious whenever every pundit gives victory to Arsenal before ant match. I hope we live up to such overwhelming expectation today.

My line up? Szczesny, Chambers, Per, Koscielny, Gibss – Arteta, Ramsey, Ozil – Sanchez, Welbeck, Ox.

But I’m almost certain Wenger will start Carzola in place of the Ox. Whoever he fields, just give us three points.

  2. HenryB says:

Now that is a really rousing Post, Rico, and hits the spot. 🙂

I am probably just a big chicken, but my expectations and hopes are always up there for these games, but at the same time fluke results do happen and at the back of my mind there is a sneaky worry.

To hell with it —- come on you Gunners!! 🙂

  3. Luznic says:

BT a strange day to beat the Tiny totts like 6-0, Morning Rico and all…..was that a rallying call for a war?lol………..

  4. Bt62 Gooner says:

    A day for:
    Leaders to step up..
    Heroes to rise
    Legends to be born
    Our Day
    Arsenals Day
    North London Derby Day
The Day to send the scum back to HELLLLL!!!!!

  5. BrainwashedKev says:

Busy today, been listening to Robin T on my iPhone…
Listening to all those bending notes that Adam can’t quite get his fingers around… 😀

  6. BrainwashedKev says:

Tbh BT, he had a tear-up with a couple of Scummers outside The Rocket last season, and I think he’s down there early to see if they want a re-match…

2 to 1 is their usual odds the tossers…

  7. Luznic says:

I know they (the Arsenal players) always listen to your call Rico, NLD is most times a formality, why the spuds still think they are as good as we are still baffles me

  8. scottfromoz says:

    Hi everyone.
I have no idea what time it is there, nor here.
Just arrived home after the US/Hawaii trip, and what a trip.
Two weeks with the in laws, and my wife’s sisters family….what a pain in the arse being dragged around with that mob lol
I knew the pay off for me heading to North London earlier in the year was coming, and wasn’t the penalty harsh!!!
I got to see Pearl Harbour which truly has been a long term dream.
Still, I’m back to harass you all, but first, a few hours sleep before kick off.
By my reckoning, I’ve been up for 18 hours which included an 11 hour flight and two hour drive, son I’m spent.
See you in a few hours.

  9. rico says:

Sorry, just nipped off to make some bread..

Hi Kev, the shed is fine thanks, had one of the guys back today sorting out some of the slabs, he’s got to come back for an hour on Monday/Tuesday. All’s looking tidy thanks.. 🙂

  10. Adam says:

Hi BT. Visited a mate in hospital, got back and having a cuppa before leaving at 4pm. I hope your birthday is going well. 🙂

  11. rico says:

Transfer rumours about us and Chris Smalling are running wild. Is that because he’s injured and AW likes a crock? lol

  12. BrainwashedKev says:

Chris Smalling, now there’s a strange one, has hardly set the world alight at Old Bog, but Arsene is still, it seems, interested…

Not sure that Loonie Van Gaal would allow another English player to leave Old Bog for Arsenal….

  13. Joaquim Moreira says:

The full team is as follows: Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Wilshere, Arteta, Ramsey, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck.

Substitutes: Ospina, Coquelin, Flamini, Rosicky, Podolski, Cazorla, Alexis
    hummmm!!!!…

  14. scottfromoz says:

    And awake again 🙂
Rico, I could easily have stayed for longer in London.
I couldn’t wait to get home from the US.
    Come on Arsenal.

  15. Joaquim Moreira says:

    2 dropped subs…
I think AW must review his training methods.
Every year we have so many muscle injuries.
    3 weeks for Ramsey
    2-3 weeks for Arteta.
    Time for Diaby!
    Where is Campbell?
Our midfield is lack but now we must playing with this team until the 75th.-80th minutes…

  16. Lewis says:

    Or flamini.

Losing to this lot would be one of our worst results in recent years. They are fucking garbage. What does that say about us tho.

  17. scottfromoz says:

Rico, five minutes before the goal I posted elsewhere how well he was playing.
    He’s been absolutely sensational.

  18. Lewis says:

Safe to say we will win fuck all this season.

Safe to say Tottenham will not be in the champions league next season.

  19. ozgunner says:

very disappointing result again – and looking at that bench how lucky was Wenger those injuries were not to defenders – he really has made a complete mess of things. Loss to Chelsea (almost a given) and another ‘we ready to win it” statement from Wenger and his players will lie in tatters.

  20. Lee says:

If we couldn’t roll that pile of shit over at home how we going to win anything?
Flamini and Arteta need upgrading ASAP!

  21. kel says:

Well at least we didn’t get beat, but in all honesty that was a bad result, the back line need rested again in mid wk imo… fuck the champions league, it really is gonna take some divine intervention against Chelsea next wk I just hope it ain’t 5/6 etc

    Fight for 4th… As usual.

  22. AndrewH13 says:

I really thought this was the year we were going to recruit in the summer, so we could compete in four competitions. What a joke.

  23. AndrewH13 says:

One more booking and Chambers out. That will coincide with a defensive injury and we will be down to two. More and more worrying, and the stupid thing is, its still September.

  24. AndrewH13 says:

Sulky, it feels like it, and when you complain, I have stupid friends and colleagues who all tell me I should be so grateful to still have AW!

  25. potter says:

Not defending Flamini here it’s not his fault that he isn’t good enough but really inside the ground we all know that Mert should have put his foot through it and not play to Flamini’s feet in the centre of the pitch 35 yards out when he would have to turn. It was poor pass selection coupled with rank terrible control.

  26. BrainwashedKev says:

Saw Chelsea on MotD, and whilst they retain that Boring Boring Chelsea, Mourinho style, they are also ruthless and relentless and I fear that Arsrnal could get torn apart 5-0 at the Bridge…

    Sleep Well.

    Night All

  27. Wavy says:

Andrew you are soooooo wrong! We have DIABY!

Post MoD just seen the table, yep, we’re still fourth………judge me in May!

    Ho hum.

  28. scottfromoz says:

Dibu to start next week because we have nothing to lose.
Chelski beat Villa 3-0…….what did we beat them by last week again?
    Same score.
They ain’t that great but then again, we ain’t that good.

  29. Lee says:

Scott the chavs are a lot better than us.
I’ve found a manager more deluded than stubborn bollocks…. Pochettino thought that last night’s game should of been a draw!! What game was he watching???

  30. ozgunner says:

A lot of it is attitude Lee – as a club we accept second best so easily and it reflects big time on overall results, until that changes and we’re not a serious threat for any of the major trophies. We do it as supporters as well, he’ll come good, next season we’ll be better, it wasn’t that bad, it wasn’t our fault and so on. Facts are Wenger has done nothing but tread water for many years and he’s still doing it.

  31. rico says:

Well I’m not going to throw him a life jacket Oz….

Can’t see anything but two defeats in our next two matches…

Morning to you, Lee and all…

  32. Lee says:

I dislike Maureenhoe but he addressed his squad’s weaknesses unlike wenger who repeatedly fucks up, making do and gambling on perma-crocks to come good! It’s so boring season after season….but people will say he’s bought Sanchez and Ozil but where’s the DM and CB? He’s just not ruthless enough as a manager, constantly playing his favourites.
I’m sure I read that our salary bill is more than chelsea…….

  33. rico says:

    I read that too Lee..

It’s not just about the dwarf though is it? Behind him is a very ambitious owner, whereas who have we got? Some Yank who doesn’t give a toss…

  34. ozgunner says:

morning Rico – can’t see me throwing him the jacket either can you? 🙂 Don’t imagine our salary would be near level mate surely? (Lee)

  35. Adam says:

Morning Rico, Brudder, Oz and all. A really odd game and generally a dull atmosphere. There was no drive and after Arteta went, no shape or desire to move the ball forward. Another peculiarly ineffective game from Jack too. Ozil was good and they couldn’t handle Ox at all so, after the goal nobody gave him the ball. Smart? Why bring Sanchez on and play him very wide left leaving Welbeck alone in the box most of the time? Mmmm. As for Danny? He has a long way to go before I am convinced. He does some decent stuff but goes missing for long periods. There is something flaky about this team alright. Really, we should have beaten a poor Spurs team by 3 goals yesterday. And to think that we never took Cesc back or made a move for Costa. Oh I forgot. We already have too many players.

  36. rico says:

    Morning Adam.

We do have many many players, unfortunately too many of them shouldn’t be on the books, they should have been long gone and properly replaced, and added to..

  37. Adam says:

Agreed Rico. Going to watch Arsenal these days is uncertain and not particularly enjoyable. This was the whole vibe among the customers on the way in, at half time and certainly on the way out. The team is unbalanced and full of individuals with no real plan. I don’t think Wenger is really comfortable in letting players like Ozil and Sanchez express themselves and we play with the handbrake on. It is frustrating for me. All Spurs did was boot the ball forward in hope and then occasionally press. Every fan there just knew we would gift them a goal and I even thought at one point that the only way we were going to win was if they scored first. Frankly, it just isn’t working at the moment. It seems as if we are a club that has been in transition for about 8 years. Change is desperately needed but unlikely to arrive.

  38. Adam says:

Lots and lots of bad trouble around the ground before and after the game. Worst I have seen for years and years. Horrible stuff really. Pathetic.

  39. rico says:

Adam, I can only imagine what it was like suffering that yesterday.

For a manger who spouts the line ‘The best way to defend is by attacking’, what kind of team selection was that….

Totts were there for battering and he should have seen that from the off, or perhaps before had he watched a few of their matches…

  40. Lewis says:

Boring boring Arsenal. That is the worst Spuds team in years, they were there to smashed and as usual we come up short. Everyone new we’d gift them a goal. Ozil on the left wing again, after his performance last week you’d think the penny would have dropped but no our inept manager kept plugging away with the same shit ‘tactics’. Never been so despondent about arsenal and I’m not alone, that is really sad.

We will get absolutely battered next week.

    Wenger Out.

  41. Bt62 Gooner says:

Morning all, what the f**k….One dimensional, predictable, stale shit, brought to you by a one dimensional, predictable, stale manager….

  42. Adam says:

Morning Lewis. No, it was Arsenal v Spuds. Not nice when your wife is totally freaked by all these bull-necked, shaven headed, tattooed Spurs Neanderthals running up to us and threatening violence. Pretty unpleasant actually.
I do wonder if Wenger ever discusses the opposition and how we might exploit their weaknesses. In fact I don’t because by all accounts he doesn’t.
The general chat was “why are we paying out all this money for Wenger to put out these strange teams with such glaring problems?” As you may imagine, the language was a little more colourful than that but, as far as I can see, there is very little support for him in the ground anymore. Just an air of quiet resignation really. After all, we have the happy clappers ready to tell us how great he is and we will miss him when he is gone and that we should be careful what we wish for. The same old lame silliness.
Rico. Surely he will do the full 3 years. Who is going to sack him?

  43. Bt62 Gooner says:

Rico, he was past it years ago, we’re stagnating in a cesspool of shit, Chelski will finish us off next week…..wait for “The Accident”….

  44. Adam says:

We were screaming out for Cesc yesterday. A player who looks to put the opposition in trouble with his passing and not just another sideways crab. Screaming out. What an appalling error of judgement.

  45. Adam says:

Rico. Unless the fans begin to take action en-masse then nothing will happen. As I hear him now moaning about injuries and saying how thin we are because of them, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. It’s as if it has all come as an enormous surprise to him ffs.
    Morning BT.

  46. ozgunner says:

that’s the thing that worries me the most Adam. It’s like he’s spent so long telling everyone he knows whats he’s doing, the results don’t seem to matter any more

  47. ozgunner says:

Bt62 – I make a real effort to avoid his pressers now, for one so intelligent he really does come up with some crackers
