Arsene Wants German Keeper, He Also Believes We Should Have Won….

Morning all.

Just a week ago we worked hard to get all three points against a poor Qpr side – a game we were strolling through until Olivier Giroud got sent off…

Then just a day or two later, we went to West Ham, defended really well and came home with three points. Three points which perhaps many Gooners thought we wouldn’t get but we did and as much as at times in the first half West Ham were all over us, in the second half we should have battered them.

Szczesny was being praised by some, Koscielny by most and my word, weren’t we all glad that Debuchy was back from injury.. 2015 was on it’s way and things were only going to get better…

Yet all three played like they were new to the game yesterday, but still, Arsene Wenger takes the blame. I’m not trying to suggest Arsene Wenger has suddenly become the manager he was but at some stage, players need to take responsibility for a bad result and yesterday was one of those days. And in my opinion, that wasn’t the first time this season!

The best thing the manager can do IF he’s staying put for another couple of years is to realise that those he has faith in, don’t deserve it. Szczesny especially. He talks the talk, but his performances aren’t consistent in fact when was the last time he won a game for us single handedly like other keepers do? I don’t know but I do know he costs us games and yesterday was one of those days. Mertesacker the same, how can a player drop in form so quickly as he has this season. My opinion is because he was never ‘that’ great in the first place. Why he wasn’t back on the line when Szczesny went walk about I don’t know.

Calum Chambers in midfield backfired, he had a torrid day against his old club and fans weren’t too kind to him either. But how many of us thought with the squad we have, trying Chambers in midfield might be a good idea… I know I did.

Arsene battered the defence during his post match interview:

That made the difference today. At our level, in our final third we didn’t defend well. We were quite in control of the game and we gave it away, it’s as simple as that.

It’s disappointing because the team gave a lot, but you cannot afford these kind of mistakes at our level.

It’s a shame because we were not under pressure, we were under control, but we go home with no points. Southampton defended well, the keeper defended well, but we can only look at our defensive performance. We had the chances, we couldn’t take them.

We could have won this game today, and that makes it even worse for us.

Yes Arsene, we could have won this game but we didn’t and that’s because the same thing happens each season. We have an unbalanced squad, a gaping hole in midfield and at the back we are all too often all over the place. He could go a long way to sorting it out this month because I think only signing new players will solve issues on the pitch. That and a bit of attention to detail on the training ground.

There was a big decision to be made in the second half when Gardos fouled Alexis Sanchez just outside the box. He was the last defender, Alexis was through on goal and it was just him against Forster for a goal… Referee Craig Pawson only showed a yellow when a red card seemed the right decision.

Arsene didn’t like that decision and I doubt many Arsenal fans did either….

We must give credit to their keeper today, and as well to the referee that he didn’t give them a red card when Sanchez was clean through,

That’s beyond my understanding because I couldn’t see for what reason he didn’t do it.

If one against one with the goalkeeper isn’t a goalscoring opportunity I don’t know when it would be one.

Whether or not a sending off for Southampton would have made a difference, I doubt it and to be honest, thinking it would would be clutching at straws and ignoring how badly we played. But regardless, Gardos should have been off.

Arsene Wenger – well he’ll be lambasted today and perhaps justifiably so for many reasons, but for yesterday, I blame Szczesny and one or two of his defensive team-mates…

Hull up next in the FA Cup, thank goodness David Ospina will be in goal and if he plays well, I hope he stays there!

Transfer gossip:

Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski is expected to complete a move to Inter Milan by the weekend. Inter are believed to have offered a loan deal with a view to a permanent £5 million switch. (Mirror)

Arsenal are eyeing up emerging German keeper Loris Karius of Mainz, who at just 21 is already regarded as Germany’s best player at the position after Ballon d’Or finalist Manuel Neuer. (Mirror)

If Arsene wants a keeper, it’s Petr Cech for me….

That’s it for another day…..

i still think you could give Arsene the finest 11 in the world and he’d win nothing – he’d begin by changing everyone’s position for a start 🙂

  2. Adam says:

Wenger bought the players, assessed the squad depth and deemed it ok. He sent the players out yesterday and picked the team. He set out the tactics and presumably motivated the players as to how they should approach the game. He earns nearly £9 million a year. Ultimately what is happening on the field at Arsenal is his responsibility. If the players don’t do what they should then whose fault is that?

  3. rico says:

Surely being sports professionals they should know what their job is… I doubt Jose has to tell Terry and Cahill how to defend, or their keeper not to go walk about…

    Morning All…

    Morning Rico, good post…

I wouldn’t get too fussed about Ospina starting in the FACup, Fabianski did likewise last season.

But an impressive performance from him, might just motivate Szczesny to up his game.

Can Szczesny ever be a top goalkeeper is up for debate.
Personally he has far too many mistakes in his locker…
Koscielny has a few as well.
Maybe Wenger should be looking for two new centre-backs???

  5. Adam says:

Oz. The club and the fans and supporters need to move on, but the change in attitude required to make that jump will prove a step too far for Kroenke at this moment I think. The whole thing will have to played out to the bitter end whether that is successful or not.
The points column tells its own story.

  6. allezkev says:

    Morning Adam/Oz…

Arsenals best two teams of the Wenger era had Seaman and Lehmann in goal.
Experienced, International goalkeepers, from top footballing nations…

Wenger’s record on goalkeepers, frankly, is pretty shabby.
Almunia, Warmuz, Shabaan, to name a few.

  7. ozgunner says:

hey kev, yes it is shabby and he worked so hard to convince us they were all future world beaters didn’t he? Wonder if he ever feels a bit silly over many of these player predictions he made.

  8. ozgunner says:

I remember well those that argued once he had money we would see the real Wenger – over 70m is it in 12 months now? Where are we again? Adam is right, this tide went out a long time ago

  9. Hannington K says:

Wenger should just call it a day and leave before things become worse! He has lost his touch as a manager & should just help us, be professional & leave.

  10. Jimd says:

We need to buy players in this window. We all know the positions they need to fill. The problem is, even if this manager actually buys well, and that is a big “if”, nothing will really change. This manager is totally out of his depth at the top table of European and Premier League football. If tomorrow the Real Madrid team was transported to the red and white of Arsenal, the team would be fighting for 4th place and the manager would be praising himself for the stunning consistency over the past 17 years. Depressing, depressing.

  11. allezkev says:

Oz, I doubt very much, that Wenger cares to remember most of the daft things he says…

But then Mourinho is also a Specialist in Talking Bollocks, as are most managers…

It’s all a game that they play with the Media.

We shouldn’t even bother reading their shit, the pre-match Pressers are an exercise in verbal dihorrea…
The club might as well just put out a Press Release on injuries and the team…

Every time I hear Wengers voice it feels like he is taking the piss. So I really don’t listen anymore…

  12. allezkev says:

It’s not so surprising, to see that Arsenal have conceded more EPL goals than Chelsea, ManC, ManU and Soton…

But to see that West Ham, Swansea, Stoke and Aston Villa (ffs) have better records, is truely depressing…

I actually think that our defenders, as a whole, are not bad players, just poorly coached, poorly organised and poorly prepared…

So are new signings really going to solve that problem?

  13. ozgunner says:

i think the penny has well and truly dropped Rico all round the WWW and beyond – this was never going to end any other way – we’ve been playing on the Wenger ego swings for years, treading water and nothing more, the facts don’t lie and the excuses (god… the mountain of excuses) are all worn out – We want a change and want someone totally in control, to sack themselves from their 8m a year job. Tough ask. – he loves the limelight but time is running out as the tide grows ever stronger

  14. Wavy says:

So do I Kev. The team as players go are good enough, technically they are infinitely better than Adams, Keown et al, but their movement, covering, tackling etc etc is far inferior. The second line of the defence, DM’s is non existent so they defend as a four not as six or even more, it’s pathetic coaching! It’s no good Wenger stating publicly that the fault on Saturday rested on the shoulders of the defence or even the goalkeeper, it was the whole team’s fault largely because they had not been ‘set up’ properly. Only two people to blame there, Wenger and Bould, well Wenger really, he takes no notice of any body else’s opinion or judgement (see Keown’s rear ark the other day!)
No not the players more the coach. Has Wenger had his day? Sadly yes, like every dog, he just needs someone to whisper in his ear that he needs to be replaced by a newer version with 20:20 vision and not with his eyesight which must, by now be -10!
End of this season cannot come too soon. This torment has to stop its driving us all to distraction!

Blue sky thinking needed. We have a blue sky here today! Lovely! Morning all.

    SPOT ON

    Good Afternoon Princesses and Princes.

Going through the blogosphere this morning made me laugh. Blaming this, blaming that. Blah Blah Blah.

Even AW blamed the defence. LOLLLLLLLLLLLL

Only one paragraph made sense to me…….the one Adam wrote.

I can assure you my dears…………..with the same team even I will have had different results. yes with the same team as yesterdays.

  16. Hell Raising Devil says:

Wavy 11.58 has made a good point.

Add to it the point I made yesterday……if you do those tactics in a ‘C’ Uefa course you will get a fail on the spot. Not an ‘A’ Uefa mind you. But a basic C.

Yesterday and against Stoke the defence was pathetic. Movement, speed of thought, tactical nous. everything was laughable really.

Even if AW had Neuer, Boateng, Hummels, Alves and Marcelo at the back with LAhm in front of them the team would have produced a shambolic display yesterday. Simply because the coaching is wrong.

What did Keown say the other day???? Yes I know what he said, but it throws a lot of light. For all himself being a pain in the ass SAF used to LISTEN. YES…..a fekking listen to others.

  17. Danish Gooner says:

Wenger need to buy big and strong players and get rid of some of the midgets. You cant play like Barca in the Pl, you need physique.

  18. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Hi Rico. Good day

I notice as well that players like Poldi do not play. Nor players like TR07. Only when its backs to the wall. Why???

Imo AW does not like players who have an opinion. Or players who shout at each other on the pitch. He likes quiet players who go about their business and know what to do.

So he does not play them.

He knows one thing……a player never hits the ground running from game one after a time on the sidelines. So he is safe in the knowledge that that player will not play above 75% of his ability. This gives him a reason to drop him again for his favourites.

Even if Ospina plays a blinder…….and MArtinez commands the area better than anyone….rest assured that against Stoke it will be Ches who plays.

  19. potter says:

The worm has finally turned apart from in a few Untold places. The club is stale , the board have no input , the owner is detached , the manager can no longer do it , the players are confused and any of them with ambition leave the wallowing ship. Now the supporters are turning in their droves , soon the only ones left will be the 5 billion( slight exaggeration ) twitter followers that the club is so proud of. So many season ticket holders are now talking seriously about jacking it in , only a new figurehead with a new direction will make them change their minds. It’s a shame that the people that wanted him gone some time ago are proven right. Those that wanted to give him a last chance to change with the money injection are left with egg on their faces.

  20. rico says:

Devil, I don’t understand why players like Rosicky, Podolski, Campbell to name just three don’t get a game either – but going by your theory, how does Flamini play each week when he’s the biggest arm waver and shouter there is, albeit he’s very average…

I have a feeling Szczesny is set for a spell on the bench….

  21. potter says:

Szczesny will be for the cup as the reserve keeper always plays in that competitions. What happens after that who knows. I don’t think that Ospina was on the bench yesterday , so is he injured again ? Flamini plays because Arteta , Wilshere and Ramsey are all injured and Diaby is a cardboard cutout on the physio’s door and there is no-one else. That of course is what you get for not doing due dilligence prior to the season and realising that you have no specialst midfielder to do a job in front of the defence. How about Kroenke buying Gerrard for the Rapids and loaning him back to us ? after all it seems to have worked as Man City’s get out of FFP free card this time round.

  22. snaparse says:

Rico how flamini got a contract with arsenal I will never understand…….like you I don’t rate some of our players we have too many players without football brain IMO Wenger has much to answer for this season but I have been really disappointed with per IMO he has been the biggest culprit in our defense and Gibbs too really needs to learn positional decipline i can go on but I just really want to say majority of our players lack basic tactical awareness and the need a coach to drill it into them I hope Wenger is the man but it has been obvious for long I don’t know if he even knows it

  23. snaparse says:

Controversial I know but we are not really going to improve as a team until we get arteta fit or a really go replacement in January

  24. AndrewH says:

A good point was made by a caller to Colleymore yesterday. With majority of our practice in training being tippy tappy one-touch football, how does that help the defence in games, like away to Stoke?

  25. rico says:

    Flamini injured yesterday apparently..

Why not play Rosicky deeper or even Hayden?

Why throw Chambers in against his old side, in a new position, and when the manager has made very public that the boy needs a rest?

It’s not like Flamini is much good when he does play….

  26. rico says:

Thanks Oz, must just be me then…

Snap, I’ve no idea either re Flamini, other than he was free. And like you, I don’t understand how international players can be so average with their decision making – both Mert and Kos were static for their first goal after Ches went walkabout, why not drop back and protect the goal, or at least one of them do so…

No wonder AW says they need to start talking….

  27. Joaquim Moreira says:

i’m not agree with the post and with Aw.
the yellow card is correct. Anyway, he must be sent off because he must had a yellow card on the first half in a fault against Alexis. The first “big” fault, maybe arround the 15th minutes. One yellow card+one yellow card=one red car. However, Arsenal never explore this: first, he was under eye of the refere;second, after the yellow card, Arsenal forgot him but Southampton coach quickly replaced him. another AW mistake
Kos in the first goal was awful. Szesc did what we must do. On the second goal, what were the defenders waiting for? Szes can’t keep the ball, so in front off so many hesiatations and before any Southampton player touch the ball, his done what those who had the responsability did’nt done.
How many crucial saves Szesc did yesterday? Mostly of them defenders and midfield mistakes…
I think the problem is not in the GK. A few weeks ago, we hadn’t enought defenders. yesterday, we hadn’t midfields players. yesterday, in the pitch we hadn’t forwards. However, we had 3 forwards on the bench . Coquelin was on loan and had played twice (at least), Everybody claims we has enougth defenders specially in the center, except AW. Bellerin (not in the squad in the beggining of the season) was played 3 times; Podolsky, after two seasons with us, was played, maybe, 30 minutes during all the season.
But nobody, talks about the injuries. Every year is the some. In a normal week, we have 6-7 players out. Sometimes, more then 10. This is happen every year. Look at last season. We have more 9 points in this moment and we were at the top of the League. If we look at the table in last seasons, was similar until the sum of injuries drop us for the title. Have you heard any explanation for this? What is the main reason for a player who didn’t play be injury between games? For instance, what’s happen to Podlsky? He is injury in a trainning? how? With so many games, a gap of two/three days, without competiton, he is injury ? And Diaby? Did you heard about him from AW? But he still with us. Campbell? and so on…
So, the reality is this: for AW we have only 15/16 players and not a deep squad. He hasn’t confident in the others ones. Probably this can cause problems in the squad. In the fans, illusions.
In the management of games, the difficulty of the required rotation.

  28. Adam says:

Every team and every venture has its setbacks. No shame in that, if you learn from it, but the old adage of building from the back has always struck a chord with me. Graham’s mantra was that, if you don’t concede then you won’t lose too many. It’s one that Mourinho, despite yesterday’s result, usually sticks with. But, what other conclusion can be drawn from Wenger’s attitude to defending other than that he doesn’t really take much notice? A new and serious manager, like Ancelotti, would sort our defence out straight away. He would add power and pace and Merts would be gone I would think. He would insist that our full backs learn to defend and that their starting positions from every play would be more conservative than Wenger’s ideas which have full backs playing as wingers. He would add at least one top defensive minded midfielder and a couple of very creative players who would also put a shift in for the team. The team would be tight. It’s lovely to see players like Alexis steaming forward in an effort to score but not if you are leaving the back door open every time you venture forward. There is surely a balance to be struck and Arsene hasn’t found that balance after years and years of making the same mistakes. I doubt he believes in tight defences at all actually. If he did, then why are we still losing to teams like Southampton?

  29. bradster says:

    Hi all,

Coq should’ve played in Flamini’s place. He would’ve done more than what Flamini does.
Sadly i must agree that Sanchez cannot lead a line and we really missed Giroud or Welbeck and resulted in no outlet.
perhaps Campbell needs to play up front in their absence as Walcott was his usual invisable self.

  30. bradster says:

It is down to the manager. I saw last week where Hazzard lost the ball and busted a gut to get back and tackle. I seriously doubt Wenger would be able to get that commitment out of a player with an attitude like Hazzard has

  31. rico says:

I can cope with losing Adam, and certainly to this Southampton side. What I struggle to cope with is the fashion in which we lose matches – most are more suited to the comedy of errors than a PL football match….

  32. ozgunner says:

It’s true to say Adam a very large percentage of the greats shared the common philosophy, don’t concede can’t loose. Wenger believes and so does his team their way is best, christ he doesn’t even check opposition teams tactics and options and we wonder why we are caught short every time and it is every time. Look at his record against the big sides, its terrible, legend my ass.

  33. rico says:

Going on from your comment Adam, that’s kind of my point. We have a squad which on paper is big but many of the players aren’t good enough to play in the position they are expected to.

Just swapping Coquelin and Flamini for two proper central midfielders would be a start.

Having Monreal and then Debuchy as back up CH’s is a joke – bring in one, probably two really good CH’s and suddenly we are much more balanced..

That I blame AW for, but I still don’t blame him for school boy individual errors…

  34. Adam says:

Wenger has a certain stature within the game which gives Arsenal some weight and presence on the World footballing stage. He is, according to those I know who have met him, a very nice man too. He is (generally) quite dignified and is not a scumbag like so many others. I can only think that it are these qualities that have kept him in the job for so long. If he was a revolting and odious creature like Mourinho then I think he would have been gone years ago. If he is going to stay and see out his contract, something that I am not convinced about, then if he just bough a few proper defenders and a power DM it wouldn’t be enough unless he let them get on with their jobs and encouraged proper defending. Otherwise, what is the point?

  35. bradster says:

I wonder if we shouldn’t take a punt n Chamber-kos in the middle. Can’t be worse than what we put out now. Give Kos responsiblilty of been the commander at the back and guiding chambers. Therefore not time for him to screw things up

  36. snaparse says:

Adam you make a valid point..,…IMO defending is something the whole team does look at Madrid they don’t have a big piwerful player as a dm but the way ancelotti sets up everybody does their defensive duties now I’m not saying a big powerful DM won’t help but just that until the team starts playing for each other just one body won’t make a difference imo

  37. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Now……
I know you are going to laugh at me,
I know you might call me mad.
I know you will scratch your heads…….

    ……but…..

…imagine we have the luck of the draw and during the CL games lady luck farts us all the way to winning Big Ears itself…….

what will we do with our comments about AW and the team???

I know its a big ask and a big if and nigh on impossible……but stranger things have happened.

  38. allezkev says:

The first goal we conceded, was imo, down completely to Szczesny. If you charge out of your goal like a lunatic, you really have to clear the ball…

Despite criticism of BFG and Koz, you have to credit the Southampton player for a great finish…

As for the 2nd goal, our defending, it was like watching Fred Karnos Army…

Both came from our left flank again…

  39. Wavy says:

Devil, you are playing Fantasy Manager Football Impossibilty game.!
A big if? A big improbability! It just ain’t goin’ to happen!

However, given our improbability drive is functioning at 100% and we win old jug ears, then perhaps the pensionable one will realise that it is good to quit whilst you are ahead and leave majestically with the tin lid replica in his hands. And good luck to him! And if he loses he will go anyway, the failure once again ringing in his ears!

  40. Joaquim Moreira says:

AW must be more concern in the game and give cheers to the players and not spend so many time in talks and protest with the 4th referee.
    this is the beginnig!

  41. allezkev says:

Wenger doesn’t have the balls to bomb out the players who continually let him down…

Look at how long it took him to get shot of Denilson (don’t hear about him anymore) and that other idiot Bendtner!

And reports that he’s considering giving Diaby another contract just add to the Circus that we have become…

  42. Hell Raising Devil says:

Wavy…..you are right and its nigh on IMPOSSIBLE

But I asked a question ………. what are we going to do with our comments regarding the players and tactics……and it was not answered.

  43. Bt62 Gooner says:

Kev, BFG put the ball in the net, agree with you on Shezzer but for BFG to stand like a statue watching it unfold, is schoolboy stuff…..

  44. allezkev says:

I thought that the Southampton player just bent it around everyone and into the net BT…?

The 2nd goal was rank bad defending I agree

  45. Hell Raising Devil says:

You were right KEv. Mane just bent it in the net. Its not only Kanu vs Chelsea who could bend it in from that angle. The goal was a superb goal…..only for us to blame Ches.

The real culprit was Kos who stopped and forced Ches to come out and then go back.

    JM saw this as well.

yet instead of blaming Kos and applauding Mane for a wonderful goal many choose to blame the wrong person.

  46. Joaquim Moreira says:

    Hell.:
who played football and was defense (as I was …) knows that one of the main tasks is to always be between the opponent and the game. another, among many, is to prevent the forward facing play the game. Forcing the player to play back, requires that you have to play back and give time to defend himself. Leave it alone, is to do everything: progress, shoot, make a deadly pass.
Szesc, did, in my opinion, he should have done: prevent rematasse so earned the position and “force him” to go to the line. There, or prevented played (and can make penalty) or the defense was carrying out I should have done, which was to cover and prevent the advanced “thought”.

  47. rico says:

Why would a keeper want to go and make the challenge though when he has two defenders nearby?

And if he did, why didn’t one of the defenders get back on the goal line?

I blame Ches for the rush of blood in the first place………

  48. Adam says:

Dev. Obviously all of our comments are made in response to what we see. It isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that we win the CL just as it is possible that we could win the PL and the FA Cup. Our comments are reactive so, if we win the treble, I for one will be quite surprised. But, it could happen, you are right. It doesn’t make what we discuss any more or less relevant though. Of course, our poor form could just be a ruse by Wenger to lull the other clubs into taking their eye off the ball.

  49. Bt62 Gooner says:

Kev and Dev you maybe right about the 1st goal, watched on a stream, but still not convinced BFG didn’t get a touch in a vain attempt at clearing the ball. May have to drink the next time i watch Arsenal…..lol

  50. Joaquim Moreira says:

no rico, the two defenses were already out of play.
Szesc did what he had to do: prevent the striker shot, take it to a low-angle position and put it in a deficit position for the game: back and without the ball dominated. The next mission was the defense, as he should regain the position between the posts.

  51. Joe says:

The two goals we conceded yesterday are down to the players who made the mistakes one many consider one of the best CB’s in the PL.
The goalkeeper who had the most clean sheets in the PL last season but let’s all blame the manager because he expected the players to perform to there abilities.

  52. Wavy says:

As Adam has already said, we are reactive, it’s Wenger who should be proactive! Our comments regarding performances or tactics etc etc will never alter, their tone may differ it will all depend on performances and to a certain extent who is in charge, Wenger or his successor. We will fill the blogasphere with all our feelings positive or negative!
I’m quite looking forward to winning the Champs League final now! You’ve stirred my sense that the impossible can indeed be possible!

  53. Judge me in May says:

Jo we were 2/0 down and Wenger brought in a player who hasn’t played all season and a kid who has never featured in the first team..
That tells me that he either has given up on the game with almost half hour to go or he doesn’t know what he is doing and threw them two players in desperation..
Imo scezney was at fault for both goals, if he didn’t panic the defenders wouldn’t have got confused..

  54. Hell Raising Devil says:

Judge we can go on for eternity who was at fault for the first goal. but who came first…..the hen or the egg???

its just a matter of opinion. Me and JM think its Kos.

    Others think its Ches.

    It goes round mate.

  55. Joe says:

Who was left to bring on due to injuries and suspensions still not sure if Poldi was injured our playing up so he could get he’s move to inter.
Giroud’s so called head but looks even worse with welbeck’s injury.

  56. Joe says:

I think it was Kos’s fault all he had to do was clear the ball as Gary the shy pundit keeps saying never let the ball bounce.

  57. Joe says:

Rico as you pointed out yesterday the spurs fans seem to know how to support their team. I wonder will Chelsea fans spend the next year complaining about their manager because their team conceded 5 goals against spurs.

  58. Judge me in May says:

Devil I agree it’s all opinions..
Jo so he did so in desperation you think..
He didn’t rotate the squad and didn’t introduce them young or recovering players when he had chances in less intense games… Instead he played same players and ran them to ground.. vicious circle..
    Campbell was available though..

  60. Joe says:

He played the players we had fit or not suspended as for Akpom he is well thought of in the club and the are number HH who have pushing for him to start a head on Sanogo

  61. Wavy says:

My last one seems to ace been delayed by nearly an hour! Thought it may have ended up in moderation!

For Potter, piglets only drop little poos whilst pigs are larger, smellier and far heavier! You know when you have been shat upon from a great height, it’s similar to losing every other Saturday! Only without the excuses!

  62. Joe says:

Rico it’s been doing it to me since the change of format I get invalid security token and it doesn’t post my comment.

  63. Lee says:

9 wins in 20 is shit….dress it up how you like but that’s garbage!
I support Arsenal FC but there’s a finite line with Arsene FC in some people’s eyes….still pass the red hat and the vape!!!! 😆

  64. Lee says:

Shit to be honest BT, two kids and a wife with the lurgy been running about like Sanchez past few days! And then served that shit up yesterday…. Still we’ve got a lovely money making stadium!

  65. Bt62 Gooner says:

I’m good mate, thinking of taking up vaping, instead of firing up sparklers, thanks for asking.

Sorry to hear about the wife and kids, hope things return to normal soon for you all..
The Mrs, gave up smoking for NY…..AAAAAH!!!!
Had the driest festive period in years….lol

As for Arsenal, different year same shit….

  66. Micko says:

rico, we’d all understand if you wanted an early nite, no need to make up all these cock and bull stories !!!

  67. Lee says:

    Vaping seems the way forward!
Like you I had a quiet one more of a Lee Nightingale for the past few days….

  68. Bt62 Gooner says:

    That’s how I saw it mate…

BT, no one can possibly watch the current Arsenal team without having a drink or 5… 😉

Look at Mick, he used to be teetotal…

  70. potter says:

Podolski a loan to get him off the wage bill .Campbell will be one step closer to the bench and frees up some cash for a signing. That is the unemotional logic. However I am gutted.

  71. potter says:

I couldn’t find it either but that’s why I asked , I thought that maybe TS might be able to shed some light on it.

  72. Wavy says:

A ‘Stavanger’ day……..you can imagine it, can’t you? Overcast, grey, cold and drizzly! Completely depressing.
    Morning all!

Poldi gone! Another player Wenger wrecked! The best finisher at the club and he sells or loans him, rather than giving him game time. What have we lacked during Giroud’s first and second confinements? A goal scorer! So what does the old frail one do? He ignores a German WC winner in favour of a raw and rather useless french freebie, during our time of need!
Why? I have one suggestion. Podolski has a somewhat unpredictable personality, like he always seems to happy and he’s a bit of a prankster. He is for Wenger too much to handle, he lacks seriousness and needs to be taught a lesson or two. So he doesn’t play him, that’ll settle his hash! When they have a ‘confrontation’ on the training field it is the last straw as Wenger thinks Poldi is taking the piss and he is ‘unsettling’the squad, most of whom wouldn’t say boo to a goose! Solution get rid of ‘zees bad apfel’! So he goes!
I take Potter’s assessment of the financial ramifications and I’m sure he is right too, at this time, but what a waste of a very good forward, lazy but a very good striker.
Will he give Akpom a run out, nah, he’s not good enough, either! We’ll see tomorrow as we are a bit short up front!
Hull to win? If they do another nail will be firmly nailed into Wenger’s coffin! Thereafter it will only be a matter of time…………!
