Arsene Feels Sorry For Fans! Players Or Manager To Blame?

Morning all.

How did we lose that game?

Arsene Wenger after the defeat:

There was lots of energy. We produced a game of quality and energy and in the end we didn’t get the reward. Manchester United had two shots on target and we lost the game – that’s what it was.

All the rest was one of the most one-way traffic games I’ve seen against United. I feel so sorry for our fans and the energy level the players put in not to get a win today because it’s so disappointing.

We have to look at ourselves as well because we made a big mistake for the first goal and we were too impatient after when we were 1-0 down just because we wanted to come back quickly.

We’re not efficient in the zone where the games are won offensively and defensively. Unfortunately their goalkeeper had a great game as well.

During the first half we had plenty of chances, so many we could, maybe even should have been 3-0 up and probably game over by half-time.

The good fortune offered to United by the officials for their first goal was nothing more than we have come to expect from Dean and his assistants – Fellani was clearly offside and the goal should never have stood. Regardless, we should have put the game to bed by the time that goal arrived.

Our own players were guilty of missing superb opportunities, Jack Wilshere being the worst. Just how did he miss from so close?

He wasn’t alone though as shots were fired in straight at De Gea, just a few inches either side and we’d have something, albeit small, to smile about. Meanwhile, one of the best, if not the best finisher was sat on the bench, no doubt desperate to get on the pitch and show the others just how lethal his left foot is but we didn’t get to see that.

At 1-0 down, it was inevitable that everyone was going to bomb forward in search of an equaliser, that’s what Arsene Wenger allows but as we have seen time and time again, we get caught and and we did. Rooney made it 2-0 with ease. What happened to being patient Arsene?

Oliver Giroud did get on and scored a wonderful goal but that was all too little too late….

I know that had our chances been taken and we’d won the game, the result would have meant little other than three points as the problems on the pitch run so deep but sometimes though, the players need to take the blame. Yesterday was one of those days for me….

They could have and darn well should have won that game, regardless of what else is going on.

However, I strongly suspect the ‘what else’ is at the root of what we are watching each match and until there’s a change of direction form above, little, if anything will change….

That’s it for today….

I wrote and posted what follows earlier, and I would add I’m as angry now as was when I wrote it! Nice one Rico, at no point are any of your remarks wrong! Someone, somewhere should be reading HH just to take a straw poll measure of just how the most reasonable supporters feel about the present situation

I don’t think the players are substandard, I think we have a very good squad, mostly! There are of course the missing links, CB and DM, and the old skinflint refused, absolutely refused to find suitable players to fill the gaps, last summer. Criminal! But the real fault lies in his inability to coach the players properly, should I say defensively. It seems Bouldy’s influence is totally disregarded and he has been marginalised. The players are as good as their sum of parts, that is ‘a team’ this team is just a group of individuals who seem to be playing like a crowd of kids chasing a ball around in the playground. It’s pathetic!
The time has come for a new broom, a new broom with a bit of nouse. Wenger’s ideas and methods are sadly past their sell by date. If a team as poor as manure, and they were shocking in the first half, cannot be at least 3-0 down before the half time break, but then wins the game, something is seriously wrong, seriously wrong! Then the old sod appears post match and says he doesn’t know how we lost! The reason is simple, we conceded 2 really sloppy goals and couldn’t score enough up the other end! Therefore we lost!
I could go on and on, but I think I’ll save a bit for later………I’ll go and have a cold shower and see if that makes me a little less angry!
Time for a change. Leyton Orient look like a viable alternative and they need a bit of help. Maybe I’ll throw my lot in with them? At least you know what you are going to get down Brisbane Road, not a lot! Bbutthese things are relative!

    Oh, morning all!!

    Morning all.
Never saw the game am probably better off for it.
    Still, I’ve seen it.
I’ve seen it nearly every week this season.

  3. allezkev says:

I didn’t bother watching MotD last night.
As Scott said, I’ve already seen it.
Been watching the same shambles now for about 7 years, since we lost Vieira and Henry…

  4. P says:

Wenger needs to buy the dominating big, strong central midfielder.
We also need a new keeper as our current first choice should be second choice. Yesterday their keeper saved them time and time again. The first thing ours had to do he bodged, foul or not, he should’ve got a clean punch on that ball, but was scared of getting clattered.
A big, strong, fast, experienced center back is also required and a clinical striker would complete the side.
Wenger also needs to punish players who make the same mistakes over and over again. How many times will we leave the back door open to be exploited? If the players are too stupid, selfish or indisciplined to heed instructions they should be benched or sold, not played in the next game. That’s why these things keep happening, they have no fear of the manager. That would’ve never happened under Ferguson or happen under Mourinho. Pellegrini is suffering from the same thing at the moment but he is showing signs of getting on top of it. You have to otherwise the players take the piss.
With the invincibles Wenger had leaders within his squad who would do the dirty work for him, people like Adams, Keown, Henry, Viera, Lauren, etc would not shy away from telling other players what they thought both on and off the pitch. They were die hard winners. This current lot are too busy being nice to each other and taking selfies, whilst the manager is making them a nice cup of cocoa and filling their panda shaped hot water bottles.

  5. escapecontrol says:

I mostly feel sorry for Oxlade-Chamberlain! There player gave his heart for that match! He was my man of the match. And yet it’s that rubbish Spanish goalkeeper?! Pathetic!

  6. Tim Jones says:

Awful tactics lost us the game.. once again!
There is no balance in the team and still no proper defensive midfielder. So blatantly obvious and frustrating…… a tight 4-5-1 and we would have won yesterday.
    Bellerin Mert Chambers. Gibbs
    Flamini (do other signing)
    Ox Wilshere. Carzorla. Podolski
    Sanchez

  7. scottfromoz says:

Rico, not sure I want to put myself through it!!!
Funny thing is, my local A League side is a replica of Arsenal.
Playing some decent football, dominating possession, can’t score but then Concede a soft one.
    Im copping it everywhere.

  8. Micko says:

    Morning all,
Wasn’t there some smart arse on here yesterday saying we’ll be 8th today, it’s the new 4th, all so predictable.

  9. scottfromoz says:

Tim, I admit to not seeing the game, but if we dominated possession and had a heap of decent chances, how can it be the tactics cost us, especially as, and I am open to being corrected, Yanited hardly had many decent chances?

  10. rico says:

    Welcome Tim and P…

I too had hoped to see Chambers alongside Merts and Bellerin at right back….

    🙂 Scott, it’s a hard life… lol

Hi Micko, there was, should have left him in moderation… lol

  11. Pony Eye says:

Nearly a great team, no mistake about that! But only nearly because we have on the field 10 players that are essentially attacking midfielders including our striker Welbeck, our flying full backs, even Mert who at the first excuse abandoned post for familiar territory. The lone exception is Zesny right at the other extreme, lacking any FOOTballing savy. Fantastic middle, weak extremes. The strength of a chain is the strength of the weakest link.

  12. potter says:

It’s in the psyche Scott , we made chances but we don’t have that will to score goals that say Ian Wright had. Gary Neville hinted at it last midweek , he said JW needs to stop playing 5 a side football . So do our strikers and midfield. We got through one on one with De Gea yesterday but the shots were stroked at him and usually straight at him. He made about 6 or 7 seven saves but was never actually extended to make them they were all too easy. Until we find a player that just wants to burst the net, all of our possession will count for nothing , as was proved when Giroud put his foot through it.

  13. Nickie says:

4 out of 6 points from our last 2 games would have been “good”. A club like Arsenal should be hitting 6 out of 6 from our last 2 games. Unfortunately, we’re left with 0 out of 6 and our worst start ever. I’ve never known such mediocrity from an Arsenal side. I guess i’ve been fortunate but once you’ve had a taste of the good stuff it’s difficult to settle for the crap stuff

  14. Nickie says:

Also, didn’t Wenger say something about not having a clue why we were so gung ho (or something along those lines)…What is he paid £8,000,000 pa for ?

  15. 4th Place Cowboy says:

Manager to blame. Yesterday’s result was consistent with big game results for the last six years.

The team lacks emotional fortitude and tactical discipline. Those qualities are instilled by the manager and his ability to impose his character on the team. Wenger has failed in this regard and he is failing this club.

With every match he manages on at Arsenal he damages his great legacy further and further.

    Thank you Wenger! Wenger Out!

  16. Adam says:

Jack Wilshere laying on the grass with his hand raised to signal a serious injury has become rather emblematic of this, the dying embers of Wenger’s reign.
What we are seeing at the ground is a rather pained acceptance of where we are. I believe this is all because we are hurting so badly and it’s only natural to want to shut it out, with a hint of pragmatism thrown in and allied to the knowledge that Wenger will not change or simply can’t change and there isn’t a thing we can do about it.
    The club needs change.

  17. agirlagunner says:

Power went out, sorry. 🙂 But I read the comments on shoe purchases,Adam and Kev, and I just might do that. Nothing like buying stuff you have absolutely no need for– shoes with feathers or rhinestones or studs. That will do me. Nothing like stilettos to imagine kicking the arses of our arsey players. 😀

Hello, wavy, potter, Micko and Nickie. Long time. 😉 I won’t ask how you guys are– the air will turn blue, I imagine. 😛

  18. Nickie says:

Hi Agag, hope you’re well 🙂

Quick question Rico, do you choose our avatar pictures? lol not one of them look happy, the ones that do look like they’ve turned to drink/drugs haha.

  19. agirlagunner says:

rico, how you can write with equanimity, is a mystery. 🙂 🙂 If it were, me, it would be all cuss words. Lat night, I was so angry my vocabulary was nothing short of… Le Grove-ish. 😛

  20. dublingunner says:

Shambolic defending again, We,re just incompetent of learning from our mistakes. A back 3 of McNair, Smalling and Blackett and we still couldn,t beat this team, almost laughable, We are that predictable, It took Van Gaal 45 minutes to figure us out, 45 mins, they came out the second half and knew what they had to do, Piers Morgan said it right 2 weeks ago, “Wenger should be fired for his shocking mis-management of our defence alone. But who will have the guts to do it? “.

  21. Ben says:

Has anyone seen the Jack Wilshere contract renewal story in the Mirror? What has he honestly done in the past two seasons( I know he’s been injured but still..) to deserve 150,000 a week, same as Alexis and Ozil earn?

  22. agirlagunner says:

Be, rico brought that Wilshere contract extension in the previous post. It’s not as if the Mirror is some bastion of truth but if it were even remotely true… then there is something seriously wrong with our contracts people. 150K, no way. I’m happy to flog him if there are any takers, tbh.

  23. agirlagunner says:

    ** Ben, I meant. 🙂

Adam, the last time I was in NYC, I was seriously annoyed by all the hipster posturing in Brooklyn. Crazy beards!! They of the craft beers, artisanal pickles, fair-trade chocolate, shade-grown tomatoes, organic farro blah de blah. 😛 😛 Seriously? Just give me a slice of pizza, thanks.

  24. Joaquim Moreira says:

    morning all!
Look at the table, we are 7 points down the third (M.City) and 7 points above Burnley (first team in relegation zone) . For be the 4th, we must work very harder…
Is ask myself the some question: against that poor M.U right back and (left back too) without a clinic forward in the pitch, why not Pods in after the 60th minutes?

  25. goonster says:

Am not even angry or sad. It’s comical these days. I just laugh cause it’s fucking hilarious. Hahahahahahah morning HH.

  26. goonster says:

Give jack a new contract heck sign arsene to 18 more years. Increase the season tickets. Let’s all go crazy. Make sanogo vice captain. Sell sanchez ozil and Aoc to burnley for a combined fee of 18 million pounds. Buy krankie a new ranch and shoot merson piers Morgan and any would be whinners. We are arsene fc for fucks sake 😀

  27. Adam says:

Agag. At my age I look like an inbred mountain man from the Ozarks with my beard. And this despite my red trousers and feathered boots too. 🙂

  28. rico says:

Jm, I didn’t understand why Podolski didn’t get on either but with only one sub option left, AW went for Ollie and to be fair, he got a goal.

Maybe when Jack went off he could have changed it around on the pitch and made room for Podolski instead of Santi – Arteta and Ramsey could have coped in the middle with ease if they were disciplined enough…

  29. Hell Raising Devil says:

It is all so predictable that I am bored to death.

its like watching the Eurovision……you know the rest of the song when you hear the first 10 seconds.

    yesterday was no different.

By the way….relax guys and dolls. We are twice the team we were last season. And I have proof……last year we finished 4th. Now we are 8th. And since 8 is twice 4 then that makes us twice the team we were.

And you should be proud you bunch of moaners. 😉

  30. agirlagunner says:

Boo, goonie!! No need to dislcaim your anger. It is plain for eveyone to see. 😛

Adam, make sure you use those lumberjack shirts and drink only hand-harvested, sustainable coffee yadda yadda. 😀 Sometimes, Americans mystify me with all this save the planet stuff. 😉

  31. bradster says:

    Hi all,

So neither Wenger nor Arteta instructed gun ho tactics after conceding. That’s worrying, neither corrected the players either or did the players ignore the instructions from them.

  32. agirlagunner says:

Dev!!! Can’t argue with your logic. 😛 How are you?? I wish I was “bored” of it all though. Instead, I just get angrier and angrier match by match. It’s unusual for me. 😕

rico, my alien gravatar was green and wore lipstick. 😀

Stan, how’s the baby bee?? Hope she’s doing well. 🙂

  33. goonster says:

Agag she’s fabulous. PresPresently sleeping. Threw a fuss all night. The little rascal wanted a piggy back ride at 2 in the morning! What am I a mule? ?

  34. Hell Raising Devil says:

I cannot say I am unhappy or happy about the situation Agag. Why??? because I have numbed myself to it all so that I can feel no emotion. Its an old trick which I have learned throughout my coaching career. you learn to numb yourself.

And by golly………..it does come in handy.

  35. rico says:

Hi Brad, sure is worrying that no-one on the pitch takes control. And despite getting out of his seat for once, neither did the manager….

  36. Hell Raising Devil says:

ahhh yes Goonie….you are a beast of burden and that must mean you are a mule. And yes you should have given her a piggy ride…….even at 2.00am. one day you will be taking her out to her boyfriend………at 2.00am in the morning. 😛

    joking my friend.

  37. AndrewH says:

Afternoon house. Trying to cheer myself up by looking for some positives. Giroud will have his confidence approaching Bendners after making scoring look easy after the pathetic shots all game. Chambers I thought was very bright especially first 30 minutes, some great link ups with Chamberlain. Chamberlain was skilful throughout turning and running, getting balls over.

    But the reality.

It took an accumulation of the worst luck in the world for that first goal.
Felaini got away with grabbing shirts and having two hands round our players at every corner. When he turned his back on a shot he just missed getting a reflection. Gibbs faces it and slices it in. No justice.

The second goal was so obvious, the attack before I was shouting at defenders to get back. They didn’t realise there would be 8 minutes injury time and in fact 14minutes left. AW should have been flapping his coat like a penguin telling them instead of being the dope he is sitting back grumpy.

  38. agirlagunner says:

Goonie, you will have your hands full with your little one, I can tell. 😀

Dev, I should learn to master that skill. 🙁 Instead, I’m the sort of person who watches our crappy performance for a second time. And gets angrier because of it. Grrrr.

Ozil, the last I read, will be back in January, brad. :0 Theo should be getting a full match soon. We do need him. Our players look so jaded.

  39. goonster says:

Nah rico…I ve always have this avatar. Matter of fact that’s how I look now. Like a festering blob. I love it.

  40. bradster says:

You’re right Agag, any other manager would’ve had Sanchez on the bench knowing the amount he has played and travelled. He’ll play him 90 mins against Dortmund too

  41. rico says:

Andrew, really pleased for Ollie, I can see him starting against Dortmund. I’d rest Alexis and Welbeck for that that game and bring in Campbell.

Spot on re Fellaini, he’s a nasty player isn’t he. Shame he’s so tall, Jack might have actually been able to nut him… 😉

  42. goonster says:

Dev you read my mind like a book….hey agag am single now with a baby. Come on am the perfect man for ya. Plus I dnot live in new York. Lol

  43. agirlagunner says:

rico, mine was pear shaped. 🙂 But green and with lipstick, too. 🙂 Haha. Yay to the return of the aliens. 🙂

Nickie, there’s no help for you. You’re heart shaped but blue. 😆

  44. Joaquim Moreira says:

rico, my idea was that: Pod for Wilshere and not almost the some idea. Gibbs was the left winger and could play at his right position

  45. escapecontrol says:

Someone commented that we don’t have anyone that wants the net to bulge? Who the hell is Poldi? Remember this guy? I’m still lost for words!

  46. agirlagunner says:

Dev, I’m allergic to marriage. 😀 goonie, I’d have Brianna in a heartbeat, you not so much. 😀 😀

Podolski must be as angry as the rest of us. To be fair to him, he scores important goals; last night when nothing was going right, AW should have taken his chance with hi, Cazorla is another one who annoys the heck out of me these days. Try harder, FFS.

  47. goonster says:

Seriously those guys at untold must either be on the Sauce 24/7 or arsene himself writes the blog. God in heaven. You guys have to read the comments over there.

  48. potter says:

Goonie , when the crap hits the fan you just have to look forward. My Grandaughter is 15 months and has has a projectile vomiting bug for a week , the doctors are just saying give her water but she wants the comfort her mum can give her and then she is sick again. We have said be cruel to be kind but then we are not there at three in the morning having run out of bedclothes and night attire. Quack says it’s catching so looks like we might be next , so if you don’t hear from me for a bit , you know that the keyboard has just got too sticky.

  49. goonster says:

But the depressing thing is we should be ripping the league. We have an outstanding squad of players. Plus we didn’t lose any one of note. Unlike in previous seasons when we lost players like rvp nasri and fabregas. We kept all our star players and added 3 incredible talents in sanchez debauchy and chambers. It’s so easy to fix yet so hard. It’s really depressing.

  50. allezkev says:

    That’s interesting Coach re: numbing….

A good friend of mine uses vape to numb himself..,

    He swears by it…

And swears and swears and swears…. 😉

    As do I….,, 😀

  51. goonster says:

I watched chelsea try out a new style of set play corner kicks that is. They went low and almost scored from it on 3 occasions. We on the other hand just lobs the ball in without any plan or strategy hoping for a miracle . The annoying part is per is always gonna flick it on. Every dead zombie know he will so why not try something new. Gosh am so angry.

  52. goonster says:

Rico trust me in the right hands the squad will, with the exception of arteta and flamster. We have a cracking team. Just a little tweak and we are there. Ozil rambo and Wilshire are not Sunday league players. Sanchez aoc theo are no mugs either. A fit kozzer is one of the best cbs on the planet. Gibbo when not injured is the shit and from what I ve seen of debauchy he’s a upgrade on sagna. So there you have it. Just add a decent cb and a demon in the mid fielf and we are sorted. Seriously we ve seen these guys playbfor thier respective countries. They are not mugs as wenger ll make us believe. He is the mug.

  53. goonster says:

The hate monreal gets is really absurd. He’s not a center back. Plus I saw this guy for malaga before arsene ruined him. Only alba was ahead of him in the whole of the Spanish league. They were not called the stoke city of the la Liga for nothing. It’s like anything wenger touches dies lately.

  54. Micko says:

Stan, well said, not just a mug but an empty one as well !!!

Not blowing my own trumpet here but going on this season I’d say I’d be better option than Ozil not only on the ball but off the ball as well, something ain’t right.

  55. Micko says:

I heard that as well rico, it was a wenger out sign on an A4 sheet on paper and the steward took it off the poor geezer lol ! The power has gone to their heads.

  56. rico says:

Goonster, I agree that, have been saying it for ages, haven’t we all? Yes we’d be better than we are, much better but we won’t rip the league until the balance of the squad is right…

  57. rico says:

Micko, no doubt they have been ordered to keep an eye out for such things which in itself tells us that the club know there is great unrest..

Shame the board and owner don’t do something about it rather than than just burying their head in the sand…..

  58. goonster says:

I ll sooner smash the steward to thr ground than have my wenger out posterling taken from me. Seriously micko what Lilly livered fans do we have in London. God give me strength. If arenal is not worth going to jail for then trust me it’s not worth supporting. End of.

  59. goonster says:

You guys need to get off your fat behinds and do something about this. We are too passive and pacifist. Goh what I ll give to lead a few thousands of Milwal like fans to the emirates. I ll tear the whole place up. Don’t mind serving time for it too. Wenger out. It’s time for revolution.

  60. Micko says:

I think he was an easy target rico, the stadium was pretty much empty after United got their second, everyone had had enough by that stage.

  61. goonster says:

A few more? ?? More like a few thousands. He ll be dismissed as a loner. We need the whole place to chant wenger out songs. Or wait and petter the bus with missiles after the game. That ll surely get thier attention.

  62. George says:

We have to put up with it till end of the season…the boss has surely run out of lives…

We will lose a few more games and a few players in January .

In January when we sign no one and Poldi and Campbell leave, there will be uproar I think Stan will cash in to usmanov and Dein will be back. Wenger will get a job upstairs out of respect but not I. Charge of footballing matters. I don’t think bound will last till end of the season either.

Sorry if I sound a bit negative.

I’d take a few 0-0’s right now to stem the sinking ship

  63. goonster says:

George I want that french tool no where close to my beloved arsenal. He ll only continue from where he stopped and make the new managers life unbearable. He needs to walk. End of. He ll get a statue no doubt.

  64. Joaquim Moreira says:

    Hamilton won! 🙂
rico, I do not know if I can convey the idea in English: Given that defense of MU (especially the sides) and the goalkeeper, it was necessary that a player with the “nose” of goal and the power of the kick, put in order the GK. Arsenal was over the game; MU limited to defend; insist on more of it, was an idea, but I think more pressure up front, with another type of player who is not afraid to shoot, unlike almost all the others, who do not take the shot and tendentiously avoid the responsibility, would have been the best idea.
Maybe we not win, but I’m pretty sure we would be with 3 points.
As AW does not come out, it took a new coach for a month, to put the other players play and strengthen team spirit, the defensive cohesion and the belief of the whole team.

  65. George says:

Rumour has it Stan Klopp head wish list with Usmanov

A lot of players will get canned if he replaces the old tool

I see a major clear out

  66. goonster says:

George I ll gladly drive the french coont over the channel to calais. The Players are not half as bad. They are just disinterested. Looking at santi and his body language I ll say he’s lost all respect and faith in wenger. Bring in a new manager and see the old santi spring back to life. You ll be shocked how good we are.

  67. potter says:

It l;ooks like that’s what it would take. We have good players led by a donkey . We need a captain , a leader of men , someone that will not accept defeat. He doesn’t have to be Roy of The Rovers , as the best player technically on the field , just the guy that organises where the manager clearly cannot.

  68. George says:

We are not bad, but you are right about the players losing faith in the manager. Who wants to see sanitizer start a game? Why is Montreal at centre half? Ramsey and Camorra look so out of sorts. podolski, Campbell and Rosicoy must thinking wtf…and our goalie situation?

Maybe we miss Pat rice more than expected.

Like Wavy mentions earlier…at least you know what your getting at Layton orient …

  69. goonster says:

Spot on potter just like back in 97 after then we didn’t lose a game till we won the league buy the buck stops with the wimp in charge. I doubt if h ever let that happen again
What a loser. He’s so full of himself. I hate that guy.
    .

  70. goonster says:

Hahahahah exactly george and we are the mighty arsenal for crying out loud. Before Ferguson came we had the second largest trophy haul after liverpoop. Some dumb ads fans act like assend brought all the silvaware with him. News flash he’s been here for almost 20 years yet haven’t won more than 9 trophies. Why wasnt graham afforded this kind of luxury? ?

  71. goonster says:

Man this kid ll be 5he the death of me. She keeps grabbing the phone. Go to sleep brianna. Daddy wants to blog. Lord have mercy

  72. rico says:

Goonster, that result has made me smile enormously but still greatly peed off with what is going on at our club….

    Jm, I think I understand totally.. 😉

  73. goonster says:

I feel you rico….only one solution wenger out and syrup sells to Jabba. That’s the only way out of this funk right now.

  74. allezkev says:

Good old Liverpool, you can always rely on them to cheer us up…

    Scummers losing at Hull…

    How’s it going Stan?

  75. goonster says:

I heard 20 million pounds ll be made available for him to spend in january. Who the heck is 20 million going to buy? We need a beastly dm and a center back yet have 20 million to spend. God help us.

  76. goonster says:

I really hope too rico but only a violent uprising ll make the yank leave. He’s here for the long haul. I dont think he ll leave any time soon.

  77. rico says:

Every man has his price Goonie, if Usmanov is serious about wanting to be the major shareholder, he’s only got to offer the right price for Kroenke’s shares, or just 22%+ of them…

  78. escapecontrol says:

Rico, Poldi is a world cup winner and sadly he gets this kind of respect. Oh and another thing…i know Giroud scored but he just came back from injury and he plays? There just has to be something up at AFC. I would love to know what! As I’m sure ask these gooners here would to.

  79. goonster says:

Well I don’t see him parting with that huge some of money and trust me krankie is gonna milk him for every last dime he has. Not gonna happen maam. I just don’t see it. Not as long as we are still a good business venture for him and his family. Face it rico we are his cash cow!

  80. BT62 Gooner says:

Rico, he count all he likes, as Goonie said he there for the long haul, it’s easy money…

    Evening all…….

  81. allezkev says:

    Working Stan…

    Busy in London today.

    Just picked from Dean St,
    just off Old Compton Street…
    Finished up at Lambeth Walk…

Been raining all day, but it’s just stopped…
What’s it like over your way?
Been reading about some serious snow fall Stateside…

  82. allezkev says:

Why Wenger doesn’t give Campbell a run, is simply mystifying?
He’s got something different in him, but LeGenius picks the same old faces…

  83. allezkev says:

    Not sure that I can see a win among Arsenals next five fixtures;

    Dortmund (h)
    W B A (a)
    Soton (h)
    Stoke (a)
    Gala (a)……

Pick the bones out of that lot…

  84. allezkev says:

    Yeah BT, I know…

Same with Podolski & Rosicky, but I bet he can’t wait to get that cart horse Sanogo back into the frame….

  85. rico says:

    I don’t get that at all Kev…

Joel Campbell is such a grafter too, he wouldn’t have left Chambers exposed against Swansea…. And he knows how to score against Utd… Poor lad,I feel for him…

  86. potter says:

Now seen it , there was a little leg tangle and Vertonghen grabbed his leg whilst he was on the floor. Ramirez kicked out and the Belgian hit the floor like a sack of spuds and the lino having missed the first bit got him sent off.

  87. goonster says:

Wtf non alcoholic champagne in Abu Dhabi grand prix? What are they smoking over there? Who drinks that swirl?

  88. frednerk says:

1-0 down we have 1 at the back against two,
what is wenger/coaching staff looking at,……………….it beggers belief
How can they just sit there and watch that.
Its now a slow death for us lot.
The syrup needs to get on an boeing and move the old boy,
upstairs or down the stairs, before the civil war begins,
    within the emirates.

  89. Steve. says:

I HAVE READ ALL THE COMMENTS OF THE ARSENAL SUPPORTERS,AND I’M JUST AS PISSED OFF AS YOU, SO LETS GET OUR ACT TOGETHER. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
ABOUT A FOOTBALL CLUB IS IT’S SUPPOTERS,WITHOUT THEM THEY HAVEN’T GOT A CLUB,THE ANSWER IS, ” STAY AWAY FROM ALL THE HOME MATCHES,HIT EM; WHERE IT
    HURTS MOST” WENGER OUT.

  90. frednerk says:

We played alright, its the basics every time rico,

A guy phoned up talksport crying about the treatment he got
from some wenger lovers around him,
he was chanting wenger out or something like that.
It will kick off I think,if we do not improve.

  91. scottfromoz says:

Rico, there’s still be 20-30% happy to see Wenger stay, but absolutely none wanting Stan.
That’s my thoughts, from what I see and read.

  92. frednerk says:

I don’t know one person in the support wenger camp.
606 to-nite with wrighty was nearly all gooners,
who have now had enough of wenger.
My opinion is the wenger support are made up of fans,
that have an unhappy marriage, but are scared of divorce.

  93. allezkev says:

Fred, you might have a point there mate.

    Afraid of change perhaps?

Fred, what did you make of the Mirror piece on the Academy?

  94. rico says:

EC – you’d think an ex German international player with so many caps under his belt would know not to do that….

Fred – neither do I but reading around the blogs, there are still many AW fans….

  95. rico says:

That’s the LvG influence isn’t it Kev? I wonder what AW thinks of Jonker’s plans….

And has he gone behind his back to make the changes I wonder….

  96. allezkev says:

I asked Jeorge Bird about his views on any changes in the Academy and Scouting.

He didn’t comment on the Scouting.

But he did mention that there had been changes in training, with more emphasis on closing down and pressing…

  97. allezkev says:

Not sure if Jonkers has gone behind Wenger’s back Rico?

He did mention a few weeks ago that everyone seemed afraid to make a decision without first getting the ok from Wenger…

I guess that Jonkers is his own man and had the authority to run the Academy as he sees fit.
He probably told Wenger what he was gonna do and that was that…

    Like it or lump it…

  98. allezkev says:

Rico left a link on the piece on here earlier Fred…

There might be a grain of truth in it, rolled up in a shed load of hysteria, as is the way of the Press….

  99. rico says:

He did Kev but then he added ‘or perhaps not’ or something similar..I guess by the time the younger players make it through to the first team (if they are good enough) Arsene Wenger will be long gone..

Guess he can’t change the under 21’s as they are too close to making the step up if needed…

  100. Lee says:

As we lined up in the tunnel vs manure on Sat night the height difference between the two teams was massively noticeable. The whole balance in this current team is so wrong, only if stubborn bollocks could see it?!?!

  101. Lee says:

from another site…. ” just watch for the signs that will appear between now and the end of the season. Cannot see him going upstairs either. The man is not incompetent, stupid or senile, he is burnt out, he needs a break from the game. He has been under serious pressure and upheaval for all these years, and sadly, he is not the type to accept help. He has had off the field issues to deal with as well like most people. If anyone is to blame, think it is the last board for heaping responsibility on him and at the same time getting rid of the one person he could lean on for support. Think at least Ivan tried to encourage him to delegate, and offered support, but he is not the sort to take it lightly, with increasingly bad consequences. Three more years in this job with his refusal to accept support could lead to a medical issue for an otherwise healthy man.”

  102. George says:

He should take a break..i know he’s on 8m a year. Let Bould take the team for 1 game 100 %. I bet team selection and performance is totally different

  103. Lee says:

Rico, he sure did, I had to scrape the car at 5.00am….. then got fukked up by a freight train breaking down in front of my train, 45 min journey took 2.5 hours!!!! Not a happy bunny today!

  104. scottfromoz says:

And I’ve said all along those above Wenger are ultimately to be held accountable for heaving all responsibility onto one man.

  105. Lee says:

Moaning… I haven’t fucking started yet! I’ve let some prick from British Telecom (not you Bt) have both barrels and I’m not finished! 😉
