Arsenal to Sign “freebie” midfielder but…………..

Morning All,

Well another quiet day in the world of “Arsenal”.

We have been told that the injuries to Alexis isn’t to serious and although the hamstring injury that Aaron Ramsey picked up was touted at keeping him out for four weeks there are hopes he could be back sooner than that. We shall see, knowing us he’ll be out til April.

We’re linked with Patrick Olsen who has been released by Inter Milan and is a 20 year old Danish midfielder that we have “apparently” been looking at for a while. Well if he is any god why would Inter release him for free, is he another crocked player or does he have a serious attitude problem. I wonder why we have not been linked with Lassana Diarra…? As good as Coq has been for us the last month/six weeks we really are only one injury or suspension away from being lightweight in the central midfield when it comes to ball winners but how long have most of us been saying that. It seems this team is two steps forward one step back, we have a few decent results and then lose to that lot Saturday and then play awful against Leicester and we get told the performance was a hangover from the Sat defeat, well are we still sooooo fragile after loosing one game..? Are we so lacking in belief that a poor result means we then go back into our shell and play poorly…? It highlights for me the fragile mental state of the whole squad and how we lack belief in ourselves. Why do we do the same thing year after year after year…. As has been said for seasons now we are just way to soft and way to nice. Again look how the Chavs surround the ref to moan and complain about every single little decision…! It’s not how football should be played but it’s how others behave and it gets them decisions so think we need to wise up and be a bit more “professional” in how we put pressure on the refs and officials.

We get the wrong end of the stick most of the time so it won’t hurt to start highlighting decisions and putting them under pressure when we are clearly kicked or they fail to see hand balls in penalty areas that are as clear as day….!

I think being more professional on the pitch is something we lack big time, its the need to give away a foul for the team when needed it’s wasting time and being negative BUT when needed…. We are not savvy on the pitch but we used to be so is that the players we have that can’t do it or have they been allowed to neglect that side of the game.

That’s it for today. Have a good one.

Wath winning teams like you say moan at the Ref,
    throughtout the game,
what I call winners never moan after the game,
    its to late,
when was the last time one of our
players ran the length of the pitch to have a go.

  2. Wath says:

Exactly Fred, Look at the times the chavs surrounded the ref last night against Everton, it’s annoying watching and I hate em for it but it works and it’s part and parcel of the game..! They do it so well just like Fergie got his lot doing it…! Kev said it yesterday we just to nice and to soft hence we a soft touch when it really matters..!

The only Danishlayer I recall us being associated with was Eriksson. I think he was approached by Arsenal but knocked the club back saying he wanted one more year at Ajax. Nobody knocks Wenger back! So despite DB10’s recommendation he stayed put and then ended up at spuds wasteland herpes lane!
After Bentner the self proclaimed ‘babe magnet’ I reckon Wenger got all anti danish, and now won’t go near that Baltic brand!?
Inter reject? I doubt it. Sounds like an agent is looking for a payday!

For Scott, Ramsey will not get back to last year’s levels of success until he stops playing with his new toy, in bed and rids himself of his pubescent and rather unsatisfactory efforts at growing a beard. He is Samson in reverse!! And, shall we see him playing again this season? It seems he has a DIABY injury, that is a love of the medical centre and his connection with too much straining, it’s a night time thing!!

    Happy grey morning all.

    Wavy… its the Denilson effect.

Denilson got married at 19 y.o and the rest was history. lol

As Aw says Diaby leads a clean life… 😉

Wath.. nothing on Kevin G’s contract situation at all mate.

    Nice read rico

  5. Wath says:

I’d be looking at Kev G for the summer Ts, good solid player in my mind.

Also agree with using more of what we have in reserve rather than freebies that are relesed by Inter…!

Poldi just loves being clown prince Poldi, shame really cos the bloke has it in him to be a very special player…!

  6. habtu says:

the board and the AW is the most popular of assessing of best player across the world. But not buying where as for the seek of filed purpose of those scouts. Isn’t it.

    Good Afternoon Vodkas and Martinis.

Good post Wath. But honestly…..can you imagine AW telling the players to behave in such a way??? imo he is the one who stops them doing so. I can imagine Mourinho telling his players to surround the ref. But AW will tell them to leave the ref alone.

So its not the players fault imo.

There…..I have bashed AW on the head again.

But I still would like him to win the CL or the EPL.

I can Just see it Arsenal players surrounding the ref lots of yellow cards handed out straight away or a lovely red card. 😛

  9. Wath says:

Joe, There is no need to be rude or touch the ref at all so the yellow card isn’t an issue… you all stand there hands behind your back like naughty little schoolboys and then cry and moan about a decision… you rant and rave but you don’t swear you don’t touch the ref…. Nothing he can do about that at all…!

Not sure it is AW Dev, it has to be in the players make up to chirp the ref and keep digging him out about decisions… We just lack that mentality as if we accept everything…!

  10. tsgh says:

Bale vs Theo… Hindsight is a wonderful thing I guess…

Folks- lay off Theo… he read in the sun that we are about to offer him a new contract… 😉 Lets enjoy his 2 minutes of wonder whilst we are in talks with him…
History shows us that when he renews his contract he goes toothles in front of goal and then he gets injured for another year…
By that time he would be approaching 30 years old whilst we still talk about his potential… 🙂

  11. rico says:

    Afternoon all…

Thanks for the post Wath, don’t want another 5′ 10 midfielder do we? Even if he is free.. As you say though, there must be something wrong for Milan to ditch him…

Podolski’s big move didn’t do him much good…..

  12. Joe says:

Wath ask Giroud what he did wrong on Tuesday night to get a yellow card.
What you are saying is not wrong but refs and the media will go ape sh*t on our arses no matter how we do it.

  13. frednerk says:

    Ref’s
Can anyone tell if they know 3 goodun’s,
alright 2 goodun’s…….well alright then one goodun then.

  14. rico says:

Clattenburg seems the best of a bad bunch Fred, but like Kev said, he doesn’t seem to appointed for our games this season.

    Can’t think why…..

  15. allezkev says:

Rico, you make a good point re: Lassana Diarra…

    Would ok for 4 months…

Not sure how if would fit with the 25 man squad, foreign players and all?

  16. Wavy says:

Thought Diarra was a good player, never really understood why he didn’t play more often. Pissed off with not playing he levered himself out of the Arsenal, in bad odour after only about 4 months! Bit of bad blood I suspect between him and AW, so I can’t see him returning. But as you say, short term he could usefully, fill a hole!

  17. Micko says:

Didn’t we flog a very promising 19 year old Olsson of our own earlier this season !

Might have been mentioned already but did anyone see Brooklyn Beckham playing for our under 16 youth this week, maybe Arsene is pinning all his hopes on him.

  18. Bob John says:

Diarra was too full of himself which is why we sold him but he has my total admiration for standing up to Moronho at Madrid and refusing to become one of his gang of chosen ones!

  19. eduardo says:

big sam says West ham not allowed by FIFA to sign Diarra, there is some issue that mean he is not free to sign for anyone

the olsen lad is said to be training with Chelsea, I expect if he signs for them those of you whinging about AFC being linked with him will have a whinge about missing out on him.

  20. eduardo says:

well fat sam said this week they can not sign him, that he is not free to move. Maybe there is some dispute between him and his former club

  21. rico says:

    From Wikki

Things turned sour for Diarra at Lokomotiv in the summer of 2014 when he fell out with coach Leonid Kuchuk. Matters came to a head when he refused to turn up for training, and he was eventually sacked by the club in August 2014.[38] This in turn began several months of speculation linking Diarra with a transfer to several British football clubs, notably Queens Park Rangers, Celtic and Newcastle United.[39]

  22. potter says:

In 2014 he played for both Anzhi and Locomotiv , Perhaps the Russian season dates being different to ours might mean that as we are in season 2014 / 5 he would be playing for 3 clubs if he joined w.Ham which you are not allowed to do . Or then maybe not.
