Arsenal need to play like Burnley, otherwise it could be an awful night in Munich…

Morning all.

Poor old Hull City, they’ve been charged by the FA after a few of their players were a little too strong with their protests after Kieran Gibbs was booked instead of being sent off at the weekend.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad Clattenburg only reached for his yellow card but had that happened to Alexis as he was through on goal, we’d probably feel aggrieved too but having seen the likes of Terry, Rooney and co protest in the past, you have to feel a bit sorry for them.

But for once, we got the rub of the green, not once, but twice during the game as the first goal went in off Alexis hand. By the letter of the football law the goal was legal but somehow, it’s still not right. Again, had someone scored against us in the same way, we’d all expect the referee to disallow it. Well, I would.

Imagine if something similar were to happen against us tonight in a fixture which on paper, is a huge challenge for our boys.

I fear the worst, I really do as this Arsenal team has been out of sorts for a long time now and heading out to Germany to face a Bayern Munich side under Marco Ancelotti is not the best place to be going. They have a squad full of top players, hard workers, and winners. We have a squad which contains passengers, wimps and a manager who can’t seem to whip them into shape.

But the crazy thing is, we have some great players, we really do but they just aren’t playing as a team. A team which has been well drilled, together as a unit or full of the win at all costs mental attitude. Yet if by chance they find that kind of approach tonight, we could spring a surprise.

There’s there’s much speculation about Mesut Ozil being side-lined but I can’t see it myself, not against Bayern and not in Germany. I’d leave him out though and Iwobi and Walcott as none really get stuck in when the going gets tough. Grafters, that’s what we need tonight, players who will put their body on the line when needed and roll up their sleeves and fight for the cause. Not literally of course..

Our record at this stage of the Champions League doesn’t make good reading, our results against Bayern haven’t been much to shout about either as not once have we beaten them over the two legs in three previous attempts. Yes, we beat them in the Allianz Arena back in 2015 but as said, this team have been at sixes and sevens for a while now so unless Arsene Wenger pulls a rabbit out of his old magic hat, I can’t see tonight being much fun at all.

“Bayern will have a lot of the ball, but we have to play to be efficient defensively and with a desire to hurt them every time we can.” Arsene Wenger

The Frenchman should take a leaf out of Sean Dyche’s book after his Burnley side held Chelsea to a draw at the weekend. Having gone 1-0 down in the first half, his team shut up shop and during the second half of the match, Chelsea weren’t allowed one shot on goal. Sometimes, especially on night’s like tonight, I wish Wenger could set us up to play in such a way.

Bayern aren’t quite the side they were under Pep apparently but they are still winning and that’s the key, winning when playing badly. When Arsenal play badly, well, it all goes horribly wrong.

Lewandowski, Costa, Robben, Alonso are just four who can do any team some serious damage and it’s crucial that none are given time on the ball. Stick to the Polish striker like glue, win the midfield battle and cut out any supply to their attacking players. Stop them creating scoring opportunities and we might just have a chance of grabbing a point at least. An away goal would be useful, two would be special but to do that we must be more clinical than we’ve been of late, especially with Neuer in goal.

Few expect us to come away from Germany with anything tonight but you never know. After all, I suspect nobody thought Barcelona would get battered 4-0 by PSG yesterday…

And finally, a lucky omen as the only previous Champions League encounter between Carlo Ancelotti and Arsene Wenger was back in the 2007/08 season when Arsenal beat AC Milan 2-0 on aggregate.

Enjoy the match guys, let’s hope we see a gutsy and solid performance from the away team and one which reaps reward.

I no longer have confidence and do not make predictions for any game. If the result is good, I’m happy; If it’s bad, I get annoyed but resigned.

  2. rico says:

I do wish the Arsenal players wouldn’t say ‘we can beat Bayern etc etc’ – why not keep quiet and do their talking on the pitch…

  3. DB10 says:

Attitude – get it right and we can win. Perform a-la-Chelsea and I fear the worst. I would play Elneny and Xhaka, Welbz and Ox. They are a cocky bunch, especially Lewandowski, so I’d love to stick it to ’em! I’ll take 0-2 again.

  4. Le Coq Monster says:

    Thanks Rico.

DB…………..if we just play Elneny and Xhaka, Welbz and Ox,we will lose heavily !……….we need 7 more players and anyway I think it is against he rules to start with just 4 !………………………………….. 🙂
Am with you, I`d play them 4 !……………………..Ospina is playing , so goalie sorted and Ozil …..if you read Wengers comments, so I`m going for………..

    Ospina
    Bellerin
    Mustafi
    Koz
    Gibbs
    Elneny
    Xhaka
    Ox
    Ozil
    Alexis
    Welbeck

3-1 with Alexis and Welbs sharing the goals…………..one and a half goals each !

  5. DB10 says:

Le Coq – surely 4 will be enough! 😉
Agree with your team. I think speed will be crucial tonight – including defending as Costa always seems to have a party when we play them! That’s why Welbz is so important to the team. Plus, we will be starting with a passenger!!

  6. Alex says:

    Good morning Rico

I am like you on this one.But it is a futile expectation as Wenger will never think about it.He still believes the squad is full of technical players and does not give a thought about the physical side and rough one,Is just not him…all this years he don`t see it and to think tonight will change is just not going to happen

My wish is to come at least to a 2 – 1 loss as there is no chance this team can win.No way.
Against Hull one scrappy goal and a peno does not lift me one bit.
Lets not forget the last time i remember this team has played the level they should against the championship side on the FA thing.

So i am in whatever mode …..

  7. Le Coq Monster says:

Although I want my predicted team to play I reckon only 6 from it will be definate……………Ospina, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koz, Ozil, Alexis !………………….although I dont know how he could not include The Ox on current form, but Arsene Knows Best !.

  8. Le Coq Monster says:

Dont think he will ever drop Ozil ( or Alexis), Rico !…………that would surely start his departure !……..Ozil I`m talkng about not Wenger ! 🙂

  9. Obi says:

BM has not been that impressive all season, I like to think we are better than Rostov. Bayern have struggled against teams that go at them with speed. I think if we go defensive we will lose. We have more speed than they do, so go at them, and force them to defend, they are not good defensively. Watch how they struggled with Freiburg and Damst, until they decided to go defensive, Schalke, and Koln. We can’t defend for 95 minutes especially if we are playing Theo and Iwobi. Sit the passenger. Start Bellerin on the left wing with Gabriel behind him and Welbeck on the right with Gibbs behind him.

  10. allezkev says:

Sorry to rain on everyone’s parade, but I think we’re gonna lose tonight and we won’t score either…

The fact that it’s looking as if Wenger is going to stay for another 2 years only adds to the gloom.

  11. Wavy says:

We usually do quite well in München, don’t we? It’s our home form against this lot that is a bit dodgy, isn’t it? Or am I confusing the Arsenal with another unsuccessful European team?

A draw would be good, encouraging even, then we can lose at home on goals that count twice away from home! So Bayern will go through, as usual!

Afternoon all. A bit gloomy here and I think it’s going to rain. Unlike Arsenal who are never going to reign!! At least not under the rule of the Wenger. ?

  12. Obi says:

The problems is that people are not really evaluating Bayern rather, they are evaluating Arsenal. I will argue that Bayern has been more disappointing than Arsenal. I have watched them many times….. Fox sports think Bayern is the only club in the Bundesliga… Given the players we have any manager with tactical acumen, Alegri, Emery, Lucescu, Simeone get positive results tonight. Alaba and Costa constantly put the defender on an Island….Hummelstown is fast or quick, Rafihna is suspect….. we have more than a chance

  13. Kel says:

    Good post
Tbh I’m not really concered about tonights game lol I think I’ve just excepted we’re never gonna win this competition anyhow so it’s all rather pointless.

I do hope we win or at least avoid another demolition job, but I suspect Robben and Costa will have a field day this evening….

  14. frednerk says:

    Sorry to disagree.

But I can never see us losing before a game
    no matter who we play.
    We are The Arsenal.

Never will happen under Arsene I know.

    Kosser Mustifa Handsome
    Hannibal Gibbo

    The Cock OX Granite

    Danny,Sanchz
This would be my team for this game Away

  15. rico says:

Obi, we have the players to win this game, but do we have a manager capable of changing his style of football in order to beat Bayern?

  16. Le Coq Monster says:

Talking of tactic`s…………………………..Merson said that Harry Redknapp is a better tactician than Wenger !…………………………could be right, but I reckon Wenger is a better financial adviser than Redknapp !…………..dont think he would have told Harry to put his money in a Monaco bank under his dog Rosie`s name !.

  17. Lee says:

Merson is a chav cnut, I lost all respect for him years ago and him Redknapp are peas from the same pod!
A brace of wastes of internal organs!!! Oxygen thieving bottom feeders!

Arsenal to win tonight against all odds and Arsenal to sign his 2 year deal…… deep joy!

  18. rico says:

And there was me liking the comment Lee, until the last sentence… two more years and I’ll be done, but I’ll be back when he buggers off…

  19. Le Coq Monster says:

Agree Lee about Merse and Redknap ……………………….also agree Rico, not only is Rosie a better tactician, but has millions in a Monaco bark account………that`s a lot of Bonio`s !.

  20. ScottfromOz says:

Rico, I feel every bit as comfortable with ospina starting as I would Cech, to be honest.
    Morning all.
The line up gives us a chance……if the 11 show up.

  21. Le Coq Monster says:

I was only 2 out with my line up !………………they say a Banana shares 50% DNA with a human……..I got 9/11`s of the team right, so I must share 9/11`s DNA with Wenger !………..I just lack mental Strength and Spirit otherwise I could be a clone ! 🙂

  22. Le Coq Monster says:

Yes GG………..now is the time…..to hide behind the Sofa…..well, in a few min`s to be exact………..told you I l lacked mental strngth !. hahaha

  23. Le Coq Monster says:

Must be breakfast time down under !…………..what a start to your day !…………full aussie breakfast and still have a boner from skippy`s amorous advances whilst watching the mighty arse` !. hahaha

  24. Kel says:

Xhaka and ozil both very good chances to score we really need to take those chances fs….

Bayern will come out all guns blazing here in the 2nd half.. let’s hope we don’t get caught cold fs..

  25. potter says:

Ozil just stood and watched Robben cut in. IF he aint going to defend leave him on the half way line. Just tell him to stay onside.

  26. ScottfromOz says:

    LC,
Bloody work is in the way of me watching.
It’s either 2am games, meaning no sleep, or 6.30am and working.
You’d think they’d check with me before scheduling games lol
    Rico, how’s Ospina going?
I hope he’s instilling some confidence in you 🙂
If he was 3 inches taller, he’d be even bette though, and your discrimination against vertically challenged players is legendary hahaha.
Come on lads, get a result.
We must be in the tie heading black to the Emirates-that’s priority no. 1.

  27. micko says:

Fcuk me, did I just see Arsene get outta the dug out for our substitution ! He’s earning his money tonite lol.

    Oh bollox !!!

  28. Lewis says:

    Agreed on coq kel.

Ox was great in the centre the last few games so Wenger sticks him out on the wing. Awesome.

  29. Lee says:

Embarrassing stuff yet again from Arsenal….I mean who would of called this result???
Not like it’s panned out like this before is it??

Let’s hope this forces Wenger to finally leave his European exploits have been appalling!!!

    5-1 FUCKING USELESS CNUTS!!!

  30. Kel says:

We’re europa league level tbh… you can’t hide from the reality that this team and this manager isn’t good enough..

There will be no top. 4 this season I guarantee it..

As a supposedly big club we’re an embarrassment.

    Tough times ahead guys…

  31. Obi says:

I give up. I was in a meeting since 2 pm, I sneaked a peak of the lineup…
WOW, even a school boy in the 7th grade would put up a better line-up.

I am convince that AW doesn’t buy players because he doesn’t know how to use them.
Iwobi and Ozil and Coq have no business playing today.

Do this managers watch other games of their opponents?

Ox back on the wing?????? Crazy.

  32. micko says:

5-1, proof if you ever needed it that Arsene never learns from his mistakes, still at least we have home advantage for the 2nd leg !

Potter, isn’t that 7 seasons on the trot now we’re gonna go out at this stage.

  33. Lee says:

Stan didn’t assemble this over paid bunch of cnuts, Le Loser did he has to go! Fucking woeful manager, let’s not blame Stan for Wenger being a washed up has been……

    Good riddance!

  34. Kel says:

And yet some people think wenger is the best we can get…hahaha

Seriously Arsene and Arsenal…hit a fucking redner what an embarrassing performance what a pathetic excuse of a so called big club…

  35. gnarleygeorge9 says:

    Lee

Stan allows Wenger to be Wenger, he is to blame IMO. Roman would not put up with this continued shite!

  36. gnarleygeorge9 says:

Anyway, b4 I go out & abuse someone 🙂 there is a silver lining to all this, he hasn’t signed a 2 year extension, yet 🙁

  37. Wavy says:

Think I saw Stan in the crowd. He was cheering on the team in red as he thought they were hos Arsenal!!

Oh well, we can concentrate on giving Sutton a game. Have to say after what I’ve just watched they have to have an excellent chance of winning, especially on their grass less pitch!

That would leave us to concentrate on not slipping lower than seventh in the League!

That’s all the positives I can come up with!

  38. Lee says:

Roman funds the chavs, we are self sustaining….Wenger is in charge of all footballing matters and he’s fucking useless at it! I blame Stan for affording Wenger all his power BUT. where’s Wenger’s pride?

The transfer kitty, the annual salary bill…. Wenger should be doing loads better!

Stan isn’t going anywhere, Wenger has to go give a dynamic manager a go!

  39. frednerk says:

Would anybody really want The Syrup involved in
    The Arsenal Football Team.
Arsene has just said ….”we just collapsed”
I think he looked surprised….He Looks Old.

  40. frednerk says:

Keown has tried to put a brave face on
bit like us lot watching the yids laughing
    they bollox off
    Rio talking the truth.

  41. Lee says:

We collapse annually why should Wenger be surprised?? It’s his fucking team that he assembled that collapse!

Perennial bottlers, look in the mirror Arsene there lies the problem!

  42. Le Coq Monster says:

I didn`t see that coming !……………..sorry !……that`s the 9/11`s of Wenger DNA in me !
A Sutton and Bindipper loss and Arsene will be gone !…………………………it needs to get worse before it gets better !…………………can a new manaager do a “Conte” ?…………………..the chavs were worse last season than we are this season and only really bought Kante who turns out to be the missing link for the new manager !……………………………..Rico was right !…………………….Redknapp`s dog is more tactically astute than Wenger !…………………………if we cant find a top manager to takle over then a trip to Battersea is a must !. hahaha

  43. Le Coq Monster says:

I still cant believe how our better than Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Freddie ( sorry, couldn`t spell Ljungberg) Wrighty forwards couldn`t take an aging BM to the cleaners ?…………………….oops !…..my Arsene DNA speaking again ! 🙁

  44. Wavy says:

A 4-0 home win in a couple of weeks could turn our season round and then the old wrinkly will feel encouraged to sign a new 2 year contract!

You heard it here on HH first!

  45. Le Coq Monster says:

Cant help it peoples, but I find it all comical !………………..I have zero feeling for the CL !……………………………….couldn`t give a toss whether we never qualify again !……………………………………cant wait for Monday and a proper competition !

  46. Le Coq Monster says:

    I`d like to display a banner at The Ems !…………………………………….”Fcuk 4th !…….How about a proper trophy !”……………………………………or………………………………………” Rico`s Pooch In…..Arsene Out !”

  47. micko says:

Le Coq, we might have to sabotage Sutton’s pitch to even things up this weekend, put a few divots into it under the cover of darkness and hope the blame gets pinned on their poor ole goat lol.

Just seen Arsene’s press conference, all 3 minutes of it, asked why we looked so jaded for our biggest game of the season and he pretty much blamed it on Kozzer going off injured and our mental something or other….zzzzzzzzzzzz.

  48. Wath says:

What’s needed is old skool Arsenal to grow some bollox and actually sort this shit out…..! I know and have many many friends who want to go to the ground and create enough of a stink tat the directors know where the blame lies… the problem lies in fucking off the moo moos….

About time blog power got sorted became one and we sort this fucking shit out… this is OUR club…. take control and sort this shit out…! fucking pathetic owner board and manager…! all go do one

  49. Wath says:

micko, at 1-1 where was the game management to keep the game close…. fucking pathetic, Koz goes off we fall apart… a team full of pussies as said weeks ago…. run by a manager who is a pussy and held accountable by an owner who is a pussy… awful state of affairs…. the fans have it in then the turn the tide… do they have the balls

  50. Wath says:

We did it in 86…. when does the apathy and the nonchalant attitude turn to… fuck this lets do something because if the fans dont then the club gonna drift along like this for years

  51. ScottfromOz says:

Well, thank fukk I missed that debacle.
Honestly, I believe the very best thing that could possibly happen right now is Arsene going but missing top 4, winning the FA cup so he goes out on a high of sorts, but the new guy can have a season without CL to worry about.
Stan can drop off the face of the planet and that would be the icing on the cake.
Oh, and I don’t give a shut that people don’t blame players for their own lack of motivation, and the new manager needs to piss some of our alleged big guns off.
No second chance as they’ve already had that.
Even the worst 11 we could field handed the word tactics does not permit players giving up, imo, so fukk them and their massive salaries off.
Rather see some good, local kids given a go!!!

  52. micko says:

Wath, it’s a double edged sword, Scott brought it up the other nite, why doesn’t Arsene just come out and let us know if he’s going at the end of the season, can you imagine if he did, he’d get no or even less respect from the dressing room, we’d fall right off the fcuking pools coupon lol…..no offence Fred.

  53. Wath says:

Micko dbl edged sword or not fuck the lot of them…. about time we stood up for what’s ours…..

Fuck the owner the manager and the players….. they aint worth a toss the fanc make this club and about time they realised that. tonight was the icing on the cake we were fuckin pathetic… in the game at half time and then what….? does te manager actually say anything and lead from the dressing room…. am actually beyond caring I care about my fucking club and i am frothing….

About time season ticket holders made a stance and stopped the moaning as well… put up or shut up… are they really so apathetic to the shit thats going on…?

as I say fuck off the mongs and the moo moo’s… take back our club make it known how the general Arsenal fan feels, the time is now

  54. Wath says:

Micko, this isn’t just about Arsene…. this is about stopping our club going to the fucking toilet if it’s not to late already……

  55. Wath says:

Wenger blames the result on the ref and Kocielny’s injury… are you for fucking real….? did you actually watch the game…? are you really that delusional and stupid…? Sorry but you need to wake the fuck up Wenger as we were taken to the cleaners…. they took the piss and we had no answer..! amazingly just like last year…. did you learn anything………….. seems not…..!

  56. Kel says:

Wath… I couldn’t agree more m8… we can sit and moan all we want… but the fans need to stand up to kronke and wenger… and imo the blogs could have a huge say in it….

  57. Meerkat says:

Well, it sort of was expected, though I held a deep belief that we might actually come good for this one.
Ozil being back in the fatherland, I thought he may, just may, grow some.
If there is ever living proof of a player, playing to get away, then he must be it.
I guess we have to face the fact that we are an average team. Not the worst, certainly not the best, just average.
The debacle of the close season signings, and lack of in January has come home to roost. Even worse was seeing Julian Drexler playing well, we should have signed him a year or more ago.

Sadly, Arsene looks a beaten man now. His little dancing queens, can’t even dance any longer. No moaning about tippy tappy football these days. If only!

How does a top pro footballer like Kos, not get warmed up enough not to stretch and pull a muscle?
Who was capable of being the leader on the pitch, and shaking them all up?

It’s over I believe. Arsene will leave at the end of the season. I’m so sad it had to end this way, but heyho, £8.5 million a year has to have been a sweetener.

The King is dead, long live um, who?

  58. Wavy says:

Sadly Wath you are quite right but as this Arsenal has totally detached it self from its loyal and even vociferous fans, the owners could give a f**k about what we think. The franchise will keep on ,mliking the ‘visitors’, why should they care? The turnstiles will keep on turning, the money will keep on rolling along and Wenger will keep on managing!
If things don’t change they stay as they are!
And the majority shareholder is far too bust combing his syrup to take much notice what a few dodgy old fans have to say. Get rid of Kronke, not a cats hope in hell.

Oh, I can’t be bothered! It’s bed time.
    Night all.

  59. potter says:

Well that’s this years embarrassment over .

At half time my son and I discussed whether this team would have beaten the Copenhagen one. We concluded that having received a lifeline to get back to 1 all .Graham would have instilled an order to keep it tight for the first 20 minutes of the second half and sort things out from there. Sadly within 10 minutes our bunch of no hopers proved that they are not up to even the basics of defending and any hope of turning things round went up in a puff of smoke. I for one will not make the 250 mile trip for the second leg and I hope many more won’t either. We may have already paid for our tickets but they won’t be used. I want to see a swathe of empty seats , it’s the only thing that might get through to the powers that change is not just needed but is essential.

To be fair I am not sure that embarrassed covers it.

  60. gnarleygeorge9 says:

On this warm & sunny day (no its not 70 degrees Celsius) I have had a chance to digest this mornings performance & watch the reaction on AFTV.

The next time I watch The Arsenal play, I’ll be @ The Emirates. And for the sake of The Club going forward, I hope Arsene Wenger has gone.

That’s it for me this season, my other footy season is just round the corner so I will now prepare for that. 37 years of shit I’ve had to endure from my other Club. But what can i do, I love them.

  61. Herb's Army says:

Hi everyone on what is a very sobering, chastening night for The Arsenal.
    Well the current version anyway.
Shame on Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith for selling her late husband’s shares to Kroenke, and shame on Wenger for being such a complicit parasite for continually fleecing the club’s loyal supporters under false pretences.
Why are a club of Arsenal’s global standing enslaved by a failed megalomaniac who refuses to delegate and share his unparalleled power, and whose personal vanity is more important than any ambition the club or its fan-base has.
Wenger has ‘earned’ well in excess of £100 million from Arsenal and continues to bleed the club with his ridiculously flawed philosophy.
Every one of our so-called ‘title’ rivals love Wenger, they’re praying Wenger stays for years to come. Chelsea fans sing it every time we play at the Bridge.
Arsenal under Wenger have become a laughing stock, no longer feared, welcomed as weak, easy prey, a dream tie for guaranteed qualification to the CL QF’s.
From the hierarchy down to the playing staff, Arsenal are mediocre, good enough to maintain their current level because of their huge financial resources. If the poison is allowed to fester for too long, Arsenal and those resources could plummet in the blink of an eye.
Arsenal have a huge identity crisis that urgently needs addressing, and if the wrong choices are made, Arsenal will be finished as an elite football club.

  62. ScottfromOz says:

    A parasite, Herb?
    Complicit, yes, but a parasite?
Sorry, but that’s a terrible thing to say and as for him being unwilling to share the power, well, Stan could force that, couldn’t he???
    Of course he could.
    Morning all.

  63. rico says:

Morning Adam, Herb, Scott and all.

Have to agree Herb with all you have written. Wenger is the problem here and now, he’s got no bleedin idea how to set a side up to defend. And if he thinks it’s the players who are to blame, they why play them, why keep them?

He is the one dividing this team imo, with his constant selection of his favourites, his stubbornness to stick with the way he likes to play rather than who we play and the sooner he’s gone the better. Yes Stan is a wet lettuce for allowing him to stay but honest and decent people know when to quit what they are doing, because they can see that it’s they who are failing, not those around him.

  64. potter says:

Stan could but won’t , it takes a big man to walk away when the time comes , lets hope he is big enough to do it.

  65. rico says:

Arsene Wenger is to blame for the way some of us feel about him. Had he left long ago, I’d have respect for him but he, not alone I know, but is the divide at the club imo..

  66. Adam says:

The time to walk away has surely come and gone many times though and that is the reason why there is so much bitterness among the fans. Even after spending all that money and utilising the club’s resources he cannot come up with a team to compete with Bayern Munich or any number of smaller clubs.
    Massive rebuild ahead.

  67. Adam says:

Rico. I really can’t see any viable alternative for him. Look at him! He is shot to pieces, as are his team.
If he is so deluded that he really can’t see that, then the club are in even bigger trouble.

  68. ScottfromOz says:

So why doesn’t Stan sack him, and why don’t people hold the Yank responsible?!!
Arsene is at fault for the lack of performance from those below him-fair enough.
Arsene is at fault for the lack of performance of those above him.
    Did I miss anyone lol
We all know the man should be gone.
It seems there is one person who still believes Arsene should stay, and extends his contract.

  69. Lee says:

    Stan should sack Wenger.

Let’s not hide Wenger’s appalling European record or his pathetic management behind Stan.

The tyrant Stan let’s Wenger have a massive salary budget and funds available but Wenger keeps on fucking it up……

“Mentally jaded!” Oh do just fuck off with your pathetic spiel.

  70. ScottfromOz says:

What will people at the club do when Arsene leaves?
How many will have to actually stay doing their jobs?
Oh, there will be a fallout lol

  71. rico says:

If I was one of that Arsenal squad and heard Wenger spout such things like ‘mentally jaded’ I’d be livid as the only one mentally jaded at the club is the old has been who sits next to Steve Bould.

  72. ScottfromOz says:

    I agree Lee.
It would’ve been great to see Stan ripping into him, just as we all ask Arsene to do to players 🙂 🙂
How the fukk can a club of this size run with an owner who just doesn’t care?
Are there other clubs in the League where owners are non existent?

  73. ScottfromOz says:

Is it true the only player who went and applauded the away fans was Ox?
If so, then fukk the rest of them.
Except Alexis, of course, as his passion and will to win got the better of him 🙂 🙂 🙂

    Morning all.

And he was the only one who went to the fans at the end.

Wenger will go end of season of that I have no doubts, but what I worry about is ………..are their any people at the club who know what has to be done in replacing Wenger ?……………….not many people who know anything football wise up in the boardroom and even less on a ranch in America !

Who`s the worst ?………………………..Wenger will go and we will possibly hound out others who replace him but the bigger evil is here to stay !

  75. ScottfromOz says:

LC, you know I find that so bloody obvious, and I’m honestly amazed others don’t but we all have opinions.
Thanks for clearing that up on Ox.
And people say he’s more interested in social media lol
That pisses me off more than the result.

  76. rico says:

Most of this Arsenal lot spend a lot of time on Social Media, it’s life these days and I doubt if anyone would care if Arsenal were performing on the pitch..

    New post up now.

    Morning LC.

  77. George says:

Morning all, cant beleive i stayed up till early hours in Dubai to see that shit. Ospina and Sanchez the only half decent performers.

As for Wenger, I am totally bewildered by his choice of team and tactics.

If a player is not performing, bench him for one that is, and if a player performs well(Ox) in a certain role, leave him there.

We should unconvincingly get past Sutton, and fall next hurdle in the FA cup. As for the league, we may muster by fluke a top four finish , largely due to the players he played vs Southampton 2nd string.

The coach has to go , end of season, as does Coquelin, Monreal, Ramsey, Iwobi,Gabriel, Merts, Ozil, Walcott, Debuchy, Postman and bring back Pack of cigarettes Jack and Toral.

  78. Le Coq Monster says:

It`s very simple to me Scott……………….Kroenke is Lucifer….he takes the main blame and if he had any footballing knowledge he would have sacked Wenger ages ago, but I`m afraid Wenger get`s him his CL every year and the club is self sufficientcy at it`s best.
A man who has admitted he doesn`t care about winning trophies !…………..what does that say to any prospective manager ?……………….we are both on the same hymn sheet as far as Kroenke is concerned !…………..I want Wenger gone, but I literally hate Kroenke !
We could have numerous amounts of managers over the rest of time and none guarenteed to win anything and blame them each time, but the one constant will be the one who we should really blame……Kroenke !…………….everyone probably rightly so say`s he`s going no where………………….so please fcuking die……….asphyxiation by his syrup would be a fitting end !

  79. potter says:

Scott the only way to remove the leech from the boardroom is to raise enough cash to make it worth his while. No fan or group of fans has enough and with the state of things who would gamble on it . The club is valued by Forbes in excess of $ 2.billion U.S and he has 67% of that , even Usmanov will think twice before sinking that plus in .
Stan we are stuck with , any change will have to be on the pitch and in the dressing room where Wenger appears to have finally lost his players.
