Arsenal in talks with Everton for Lukaku? England muck up their group, sound familiar?

Morning all.

What a load of rubbish England dished up last night. Roy Hodgson made six changes to the side which beat Wales and paid the price. Ok, they are through to the knockout stages of the Euros but now they face a tougher task ahead having only managed to finish second in the group. Wales on the other hand romped past Russia with ease to top the group with Aaron Ramsey getting on the score-sheet. See, you should never underestimate a football team and imo, that’s just what Roy Hodgson did last night and it seriously backfired. If by some miracle England get there and your promo code comes in, France could be their quarter final opposition.

After the match and in bullish fashion, Roy Hodgson claimed that some team will pay for last night’s missed opportunities no doubt meaning England will score more next time around but I reckon the only team which will pay, is England.

Arsenal of all clubs know what it’s like to muck up a group by finishing second only to get knocked out in the next round by a tougher opposition as it’s happened too many times to mention over the years gone by in the Champions League. Perhaps this coming season we’ll do something new and win the group and progress further than we have for a while.

Away from the Euros there’s little Arsenal news. Dennis Bergkamp features on the official website which is no great surprise but it’s hard to believe that 21 years have passed by since the great man signed for Arsenal. He’s definitely one of the best, if not the best player the club has ever signed. Yes there’s been other greats like Pires, Henry, Vieira, Petit, Freddie etc, but none remained as loyal and important to Arsenal as Dennis did. It’s a great shame he decided to move back to Holland with his family because the day he realised he wanted to coach, he’d long gone. Ajax benefited and why not, that is his boyhood club, it’s his home but sure as heck, Arsenal could have done with him and still could now but perhaps that ship has long sailed.

Another potentially good coach we’ve missed out on is Mikel Arteta, as he’s taken up the offer from Man City, well, Pep Guardiola to join his coaching team and who can blame him. Pep or Arsene? It’s a no brainer as the saying goes….

In the transfer gossip, the Daily Star have waited a while but today they suggest we have joined the list of clubs chasing Romelu Lukaku, their source being TuttoMercatoWeb. The Italian outlet go as far to claim that talks have begun between Arsenal and Everton….

Somehow I very much doubt it, not when he’s rumoured to be valued around the £60 million mark.

Have a good Tuesday guys and gals, roll on the Euros Final……

Please stop misleading our supporters, Arsenal is not talking to Everton about Lukaku, that is not correct. Stop spreading false news to our supporters, please.

  2. bradster says:

    Morning all,

Good read Rico. I think Clyne and Dier played well last night.
Vardy showed his poor finishing technique but at least he’s quick and shoots I guess.
Jack needs to learn the Waltz, step one, two, pass and he might have more success and less injuries.
England have too many players coming back from injury or with no form in the team. Tottenham were rubbish to the end of the season so their players are off form, Jack, Sturridge and Henderson barely played this season and clearly rusty.

  3. Marshall says:

Morning all, caught some highlights on Wales games. Boy, wasn’t Ramsey playing well!! am probably his biggest critic here but he showed what a player he is. That leaves me to wonder, is it a morale issue at arsenal? Hope AW have seen what position suits him best. The hole imo suits him perfectly, him and Ozil should rotated there.

Jacko was the usual headless chicken. Pep had quoted 30+m? Sold!

Lukaku, not in our thrifty price range.

  4. bradster says:

at least I can share my pleasant weather on winter Solstice day, outside it’s a gloriously clear blue day with temperatures reaching a maximum of 24 degrees and not a whistle of a breeze.

  5. goonster says:

Rico I told you England is shit???? you won’t listen. Now see where you ve gotten yourselves. I pray you meet the French in the next round. I ll love to see pogba against that rabble you call a team. Morning everyone.

  6. tsgh says:

didn’t lukaku shun us for the chavs 5 seasons back?
Dembele had an excellent season. He could add something to our midfield and cover when Xhaka is converted to our new left footed CB. 😉

  7. goonster says:

Miki isn’t coming rico. Dortmund ll rather lose him for free than let him join hummels and gundogan on the exit list. Plus I heard his agent saying manure is his dream team. Lol funny just a few years back he was fawning all over us. Tsk Tsk players are worse than politicians.

  8. allezkev says:

Until it’s reported as a Done Deal in the Metro, I will not believe it… ?

    Afternoon Rico…
    Afternoon All

  9. goonster says:

Nah AK until bleacher reports prints it. It’s not a done deal yet. Lol how are you slugger?? Having a great summer so far?? It’s so freaking hot down here. Damn.

  10. goonster says:

Ginge he is in swear. A fit diaby ll make him look like Lee catermole. Poor bugger couldn’t stay fit. He ll have been a world beater. Shame.

  11. goonster says:

Now that’s a player that makes my heart bleed. Youan was at the cusp of greatness until injury hit. Should never have left Bordeaux. Even while at Milan you could see zizou in him. Still wished we got him instead of Samir double chin nasri.

  12. goonster says:

His dad and wenger were pals too so I still don’t understand why we didn’t get him. So sad. His career is all but over. I remember watching him that season Bordeaux won the ligue un. Him and (don’t laugh) chamakh looked world class. Their combination was something else. They broke the lyon monopoly. Shame he can’t stay fit.

  13. tsgh says:

I never understood Nastry’s signing personally. He made it clear from day one we were just a stepping stone for him…
Do you recall Chamkh in the following season’ UCL? What a player he was… Milan, bib-dippers all wanted him but he opted to stay and walk free to us and then Van Judas came back from injury and the rest was history…

  14. Bob John says:

    Hi all
The way people are going on about all the changes you would think that England had been playing like a hybrid of Brazil 1970/Holland 1974 in the first two games! As far as I could see we played exactly the same last night as the first two games. Our so called first 11 couldn’t beat the worst team in the competition and only scraped a last minute win against Wales due to desperate substitutions! Truth is we overate our players to such an extent that they are always going to fail at the top level. Look at the way the press are fawning over Rooney who is basically jogging around passing square and getting nowhere yet he is being compared to Pirlo. Jack got slaughtered for last night yet Rooney either over hit his passes or ran into opposition players. He was excused because he’s not used to coming on as a sub! What a complete load of testicles! Likewise the great Alli and Kane. Just exactly what have they done so far? Bugger all as far as I can see. We are a team of overhyped, overpaid players who constantly make wrong decisions at the crucial moments. Yes, Clyne looked dangerous going forward but at that one moment when he needed some composure to play a five yard square pass to Vardy two yards out he chose to blast the ball at the keeper. So many players who don’t spot the final ball.
    Rant over!

  15. tsgh says:

Samer can be said of Pjanic who is an Arsenal fan and his dad is also AAW’s friend…
Pjanic should have been signed a few years back…

  16. goonster says:

Pjanic is just an odd one ts. Why leave the eternal city for that pile of shit Turin. Like seriously why didn’t Roma hold onto him. Plus why is no one else looking at him?? That guy is one of the best midfielders on the planet if not the best. We really have been playing with shitty players ginge it’s a miracle we make the top 4 annually. Imagine the players we let join our rivals modric still haunts me. Imagine a team of modric pjanic and maybe cesc and a fit tr7. God in heaven.

  17. goonster says:

I feel bad for chamakh ts. He also took a pay cut just to join us. Plus he wasn’t really playing that bad even when van prick came back. Our best performance against shitty in 10 years was with him leading the line. He got boyata sent off and gave the shitty defense a torrid time. Shame the fans turned on him. Just another player whom we ruined.

  18. allezkev says:

Afternoon Stan, I am good thanks buddy…
London as usual is crammed full of cars, 80% of them being mini-cabs, so the traffic is appalling, especially in the City where all the ‘suits’ luv a mini-cab…

Afternoon Ginge, the England game was so boring, but let’s not forget that only one team tried to play, Slovakia just defended their box for 90+ minutes..,

  19. goonster says:

Hey kev am thinking about driving for uber just to tick you off. I heard you hate those cnuts. Lol maybe I ll even move to London ???

  20. allezkev says:

Stan, if you wanna drive for Uber in the States, be my guest…

But don’t come to London or I’ll send Micko round to sort you out…

  21. allezkev says:

I guess that both Slovakia and Russia approached playing Wales with a more positive view as they thought they could beat Wales, but against England it was everyone behind the ball…

Wales had more space to attack, that’s why they scored more goals.
England lacked composure and quality when in positions to score, but should have still taken 9 points…

Portugal in the next round of games could be interesting as both have struggled to win games that they dominated.
Ronaldo is probably saving all his luck for when he plays England…

  22. allezkev says:

Stan, I’ll pick you up from the airport, Lee and Adam will be with me and we’ll take you to visit Old Hampton St… ?

  23. allezkev says:

The Express quoted the Lukaku fee as being in the region of £31 million…

Sky Sports has reported that Arteta hasn’t agreed to join City and is still considering an offer from Arsenal which is still on the table…

  24. allezkev says:

Real Madrid are reported (from a Juve official) to have activated the buy-back clause for Morata of £23 million…

    Watch this space…

  25. Obi says:

Ts you are so on point with Pogba. Hes is so overrated. He makes the simplest things complicated and doesn’t do anything particularly well. He always had very good players around him to cover up his inadequacies. Chamkah was ruined by AW for one of his favs, then the fans turned on him, just like he is doing to Joel Campbell. Watch, with Jack back see what will happen to Elneny and Coq.

  26. tsgh says:

Kev you should ask Goonie if he is coming to London as a Dutch citizen or a Yank? He should hurry up then ‘cos brexit will ensure he is sent packing.. 🙂

  27. tsgh says:

Agreed re. Slovakia. Odd how they managed to beat Germany with a more positive approach a month or so back but reverted to the Pulis approach against us…

Saying that Roy over egged it a bit with his post match analysis imo…

  28. tsgh says:

Goonie- I think Pjanic is a superb replacement for the legend that is Pirlo. Assuming Allegri will play him deeper instead of the number 10 role…
I would have liked him at Arsenal but hey… same as Rakitic.
Talking about Rakitic anyone heard from Agag recently?

  29. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good Afternoon Lovelies and Hunkies

Nothing on the transfer vine. yawwwwwnnnnnn

Many people are bigging Vardy up……but I would like to ask the question…..what will he do when teams park the bus???? He will not have counter attack areas to run in.

I am still sceptic about him

  30. Lee says:

“what will he do when teams park the bus???? He will not have counter attack areas to run in.”

I agree 100% with this statement Devil

  31. rico says:

I doubt we’ll see any action in the transfer window until the Euros finish. Other than players who aren’t involved, like the Dutch…. 😛

  32. goonster says:

Ts I miss agag. Someone please email her. I just hope she’s alright. It’s unlike her to be off HH this long.

  33. Joaquim Moreira says:

Two years ago, I’ve posted Dier was a interesting player for Arsenal.
We need , in my opinion, a central forward diferent from Giroud. With other qualities. Morata, Benzema, Higuain, Joaquim Moreira in is old times, etc.
Not a player with same characteritcs

  34. goonster says:

Lol Lee ????what are you on about??? I love that hot tamale like she was my own woman. Take that back brudder.

  35. goonster says:

Thanks rico she needs to know we care and miss her. Poor baby. I want to cuddle her so bad?????

  36. goonster says:

Howdy BT where have you been you sly old fox??? What’s your excuse for not blogging for like forever??? I need to smash that grin off your mug lol you old coot.

  37. goonster says:

Thank you rico. It’s so unlike her to not come on here and tell kev and Adam how much shoes she’s bought.lol. I really do miss her. Just hope all is well with her.

  38. tsgh says:

Goonie- watching Kroos caress the ball makes me cream… 😉

what a player. NI doing very well so far…

Are contractors permitted to use client network to stream football? 😛

  39. goonster says:

Don’t start ts. You ll make me cry. Kroos in an arsenal shirt has been my lifetime dream. I ll give anything to see that bugger in red and white. He’s a complete footballer. Lothar matthias??? Yes please. He’s Lothar’s incarnate.

  40. goonster says:

Lol contractors can do anything ts. We own this motherf**ker like my next door neighbor ll say. If we don’t work the company goes down ??

  41. tsgh says:

    🙂 Goonie.

Odd how an axis of Modric 5’8 amd Kroos 5’11 can win the UCL… goes to show ‘ball sense’ is important as Bobj alluded to earlier.

  42. goonster says:

Lol don’t say that out loud ts rico Adam and Lee ll eat you up. They love our midfielders tall as prices. Karl Henry comes to mind. Lol

  43. goonster says:

Wow Poland ll be a handful this tournament rico. They looked formidable against Germany. I hope England get them next ??

  44. goonster says:

I ll love to see the loon on vardy’s face when kante and mahrez leaves and he’s all alone at leceister. Chat shit get banged. Lol

  45. goonster says:

Well kinda Adam we are a bit “backwards” like my friends ll say but I sure won’t call us conservative Adam. I ll say old fashioned. Lol

  46. goonster says:

Gee Adam what kinda question is that?? It’s 2016 mate. They are coffee shops in the serengetti.lol sometimes Adam I don’t get you. ??

  47. goonster says:

Oh my rico I was just pulling your pigtails maam. You take me too serious. Lol am sorry maam. I didn’t mean it the way you took it. My apologies. Forgive me rico.

  48. goonster says:

I would love to meet every last one of them adam? can you make that happen? I ll give anything to meet all 5. Lol

  49. Adam says:

Stan. Let’s not get carried away. There have only been 4. I can’t actually envisage them all being in the same room at the same time. 🙂

  50. allezkev says:

Peresic, he’s a really good player and tough as well as technical…

I like the Croatians, I like their attitude, they’re not scared of anyone.
They back their skill, work rate and tactical acumen against any team.

Best team in the competition for me, considering their resources…

  51. allezkev says:

Srna, Pjaca, I like both of them as well….

Great result for Croatia, and without Modric and Manduzic…

    N.Ireland into next round… ?

  52. obi says:

Messi just scored on a sick free kick against the US….a thing of beauty. I have an idea AW should buy him.

  53. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good Morning Lovelies and Hunkies.

Here the weather is beautiful….not too hot today, sun playing hide and seek or peek a boo while the breeze caresses every smiley face.

Seems we are mentioned for another Brazilian left back……Santos of Mineiro. No not the fat lasagna boy we had.

I hope this Santos is not dodgy as the first one.

Why not go for Hector of Cologne??? I rate the guy highly. And he is a footballer as well not just a good player.

  54. rico says:

    Morning Devil and all.

Can’t believe the prices clubs put on their players…

Aren’t we supposed to be getting the Swiss left back?

  55. Hell Raising Devil says:

supposed is the right word boss.

the swiss left back is good. I have liked what I saw when the swiss played. However I still feel that Jonas is the player we should target. FC Koln have two players I would love to see at AFC. Hector and Horn (GK….only 22 yrs). Tell you what……I would sell Ospina. Keep Ches but buy Horn and loan him back to FC Koln. That way he will get to play with them all the time…..but we would have got a good keeper on our hands. Better than Ches and Ospina. Watch him in 3-4 years time…..he would rival Neuer. I am certain.

Hector is solid and dependable. Another Monreal type left back. Not fussy, not suspect but he does a job. Ginge can testify to this.

And yes I would love AW to go and get a German CB…..few of them aresuspect and dodgy.

Draxler???? Over TW any day and any time.

  56. Hell Raising Devil says:

I would not go after Nolito and Vardy imo. I mean at 29 years old and play in a forward position is risky money. Especially as Nolito has never played in the EPL. How would he fancy playing Stoke away on a frozen pitch in February??? He would go into hiding before the whistle goes.

As for Vardy……like I said yesterday….how will he operate when teams park the bus???

  57. rico says:

Wenger would have to change the way the team play but considering he hasn’t for many seasons now, I doubt he will…

  58. Hell Raising Devil says:

Yes Rico. AW needs to change our playing style now. We are always at our best defending and attacking teams on the break.

However, our lack of goals should not be laid squarely on Ollie’s shoulders. I still say that the root of the problem was the lack of goals from Theo, Ozil, Aaron, OX, etc. The other positions which should have contributed more with the goals. I still feel that we should not put our eggs in one basket, that is the CF or getting a proven scorer (although that helps), but that goals should be distributed around. I would rather have three players scoring between 15 to 17 each than one main scorer who gets around 25 EPL goals.

Against my argument was the fact that we were the team which had most shots on goal…..on target…..the team with the most chances created. So the lack of someone who puts them in is there for all to see. However, in that case we need to change the whole forward line.

  59. rico says:

I get that Devil, many of us have said the same about lack of goals from other players but surely a lot of that is down to them playing an extra pass in and around the box because that seems to be the way AW likes it.

If we are to play a defensive style and hit sides on the break, where does that leave Ollie? His game certainly wouldn’t suit that style of play..

  60. Hell Raising Devil says:

its obvious that we will not play a defensive style and hit sides on the break. And its not AW’s fault or lack of tactics in that matter.

Whatever players we put on the pitch other teams will always defend ad park the bus against us. Even when we got to passing the ball between our defenders and the DM in our half, other teams rarely attacked us preferring to set up their defences

  61. rico says:

But isn’t it about time AW learned a way to beat the parked bus?

I always find the excuse of a defensive side parking the bus rather odd really because what else is an opposition side meant to do, open up and get battered?

How much better would we have been in certain games over the years if we had parked the bus to get a result instead of allowing teams to beat us…

  62. Hell Raising Devil says:

Brexit and its effects on football.

    http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/eu-referendum-how-will-premier-league-clubs-be-affected-by-brexit-vote-1566819

    Good read.

If Britain opts out it could be back to having teams full of English, Irish, Welsh, Scottish and just 3 foreigners.

Maybe that is why we are not buying any players yet. AW wants to see the outcome of the vote.

Maybe that is why Xhaka, as Switzerland is outside of the EU and Xhaka could qualify as one of the followers. MAybe that is why AW is also after Rodriguez since he is Swiss. MAybe that is why no English player has left yet.

All ifs and buts and maybe.

  63. rico says:

I know but why not in certain games, especially away from home against sides who so often beat us… I don’t mean every week of course…

  64. Hell Raising Devil says:

I agree with you Rico. And it frustrates me as well knowing full well that we could have replicated the invincibles season at least one or two times more. However it is not in AW’s style…not even in one game.

  65. Hell Raising Devil says:

tbh….I do not see Britain voting to go out of the EU.

if it does……the EPL will suffer a big blow to luring top EU etc players. All would want to leave and those who want to come in will find it very difficult.

  66. Wavy says:

Devil, that’s because he is a ‘coach’. Boom boom!

In my opinion, Brexit wrecks it! EPL will be a dead duck. Still if that’s what the majority want….so be it!
Act in haste and repent at leisure. We’ll see what the world and Europe is like on Friday morning.

Morning all. Warm and cloudy here.

  67. Hell Raising Devil says:

In the CL its different Rico. Basically AW knows that in the EPL no team can outpass us. But in the CL there are many teams who can do that. So he played that way in Europe but in England he does not.

  68. rico says:

    Hi Wavy.

Devil, I’d say they are a few PL teams who could out pass Arsenal these days…

Catch up later guys, things to do today..

  69. tsgh says:

    Morning Rico, Dev and all…

I agree with Rico, we have not been the most passing team or had the most accurate pass rate for a long time..

Re. chances created we were the 4th highest in the league; although Ozil created the most if one believes in that type of stats which btw I think is bollocks…

The issue with us is that we go through Ozil too much especially without SC19 and MA08 in the line-up…

  70. tsgh says:

A question away from football… for those who can remember
As tomorrow approaches and I am still undecided my question is did we have more democracy and more rule by the people before the EU existed?

  71. goonster says:

Morning guys please vote to stay in the EU. I don’t want to have to go an apply for a British Visa to come visit Adam. It doesn’t make no sense. We the Dutch people have been allies with the British people for like forever. So please ts Adam Lee kev WATH rico Potter LC(is micko allowed to vote too) please vote wisely. Thank you the blonde adonis ?

  72. tsgh says:

Adam. I was reading up on the Common Agricultural Policy post 2013 and noting how much some of the ‘elite’ land owners have made from the EU policy makes me wonder how muted/ad populum we are about what democracy is

  73. Wavy says:

In the days when the Hill woods of this world employed the old school tie and the Athanaeum to promote their avaricious ways, I don’t think the notion of ‘democracy’ raised its head very often. Benign Toryism was never a bad thing but it died with Thatcher! I don’t think Blair was much better, to be fair, but we did have an efficient education and health service. Some things we definitely do not have presently. We live doctrinaire politics not democracy! One of the things Europe does offer oi a check and balance to how we go about dealing with ourselves and our allies, in the main. Lose that and we lose the little control over the so called democracy that we live our respective lives by.

  74. Hell Raising Devil says:

The AFC line up in a few years’ time if GB opts out of the EU…..

    …….Chokeson

    Manager……McZipper

  75. Adam says:

I would like to have seen a less hysterical campaign really but, with so little in the way of firm facts in the arena, I imagine that most will make their decision on emotional grounds.

  76. potter says:

Never had a problem visiting Europe before we got roped in .Won’t have should we leave. In my opinion a Brexits vote will just strengthen our bargaining position to reduce our membership fee.I doubt that we will leave completely but Europe will have to slow down it’s headlong chase to federation. Most people I have met want to retain their individualality and they want to go back to what it set out as.:- A trading agreement.

  77. tsgh says:

🙂 Dev… but David ‘calamity’ James said he believes leaving the EU would be good for football in this country. “If we leave, there’ll be more English managers and more of a chance for English players. 🙂

If Croatia can produce a team out of a population of only over 4m then I wonder why we can’t do the same in this country?

Wavy- Very interesting and insightful comment;I guess the crux of the matter is whether one believes brexit will make the Goldman Sachs, Soros and co of this world to begin to respect the regular 3 bedroom semi owning vw driving citizen of the western world…

  78. Hell Raising Devil says:

At the end of the day it will simply mean that GB will have to renegotiate the package. If England leave it should have a strong hand…..but the EU will have a strong hand as well.

there will be many issues which will have to be ironed out…..especially the grey areas.

However, work places like football will suffer the consequences.

It remains to be seen whether England will be accepting any immigrants after they opt out. Or if their influx increases.

  79. tsgh says:

Potter- my only worry for the future is whether the transfer of money/or should I say real wealth from the poor to the rich will cease with Britain out of the EU…

As a 2nd generation immigrant I was able to escape what some of the younger folks I went to school with in Shoreditch claim is density with a bit of luck and hardwork; one or 2 I still keep in touch with claim their current situation will be different without the opening of the borders by Blair; forgetting that without the Maastricht Rebels of labour and the libs it would be far worse…

My worry is whether kids of my child’s age with the same work ethics albeit with a bit more home comforts have the same opportunities ahead of them or whether the elites would have us in concentration camps by then…

  80. potter says:

The issue of immigrants is very murky water .It’s not so much about how many come but what they bring with them. We have always had immigrants Jewish tailors market trading West Indian bus drivers,Irish navvies, Asian entrepreneurs etc.All of whom had skills we needed they earned money and paid tax. We now need NHS workers not car washers earning or declaring just enough to pay nothing and claim Working tax credits which is what some seem to be doing and claiming whatever else they can get.

  81. Hell Raising Devil says:

Don’t worry Ginge. Norway and Switzerland are out of the EU. imo those three could form a sort of Union between them with a new package.

If this materialises expect another country to opt out of the EU and follow suit.

  82. obi says:

Whether a country or an organization when there are restrictions, segregation, limitation, and exclusivity it suffers. As advanced as Britain is in term of integration, even be it in the colonial days – unlike the other colonialist countries, the free exchange of ideas, labor and commerce has been an integral part of the “British Empire”. It’s rather sad that a few misguided individuals do not see it. You don’t gain democracy or freedom by being an isolationist. Imagine the effect on Britain if the EU countries had that same policy towards them. Humanly those of us who are fortunate have an obligation/ responsibility to make things better.

  83. tsgh says:

Obi- Ever had a great season at Seville; can’t believe he was allowed to move as a free agent without any interest from AW at least…I believe he has an EU passport as well..

  84. obi says:

Ts really, I didn’t know he has an EU passport. I was surprised too considering AW likes freebies. Good replacement for MA or TR.

  85. potter says:

Problem being Obi is that free has two meanings. Free movement of ideals is one but to Britain, Germany, Italy and France it comes with a cost which billions of Euros away from being free.

  86. tsgh says:

I might be wrong re. passport but with him being Argentine and having played in Spain since he left Boca; one will think he qualified for citizenship if he wanted.

  87. potter says:

Furthermore taking your last point into consideration. Do you think that the way the E.U.lends money to countries like Greece and Spain that they can ‘t repay and the Austerity that follows brings those countries up a level or do you see that the way our infrastructure is collapsing brings us down.
Makes us more level I suppose.

  88. Hell Raising Devil says:

The money that GB pours in the EU atm will remain with GB eventually if they opt out. However, the long term ramifications might be difficult for GB. For example, will the British currency plummet against the EU?? Will European countries bordering England be on vigil with regards immigrants??? And if immigrants still come to GB where will GB repatriate them???

  89. tsgh says:

Potter- with my conspiracy hat one… I strongly believe the bail-out has much less to do with ‘bailing’ out countries with bigger than average public sectors like Greece ; but more to do with transferring national assets to a few corporations and their owners.

Reading Kissinger, brezinski books tells me the same formula was applied to post colonial Africa, then Argentina then Japan, then South Korea, Taiwan and then most recently China and Brazil…

As Obama hinted there is no difference between communism and capitalism…

  90. obi says:

Ok Ts…Potter I understand that clearly, free is never free bcus someone is paying. But imagine the alternatives if these countries are allowed to disintegrate, the rich countries will be paying without any saying but in EU at least you have a saying and influence. In essence they want more control but are willing to risk losing complete control. Ideas like Bretix just increase illegal activities.

  91. tsgh says:

I think Kissinger or one of the bildergers who on paper is meant to be pro west said that Northern European citizens have benefited from the infrastructures paid for by the proceeds of colonialism and have enjoyed the highest standard of living since man was put on this planet; the globalist believe it is time to level the playing field…

    One paper it sounds good but on the contrary all they have done is transferred public assets to private companies owned by the 13 families and 13 corporations;

  92. obi says:

Potter opt in or out, the average Brit will not notice any change in their pockets. The transfer of assets to other countries, as Ts and Devil point out, will still remain as there must be a distinction between the different types of moneys . All those loans are complete shell game.

  93. tsgh says:

The biggest con perpetrated to those old enough during the height of the cold war was the believe that national budgets were the same as household budgets and capitalism was different to communism… but in Adam Smith’s foundational “Wealth of Nations,” Quill notes, “ he stated that capitalism was going to make the lives of a good majority of the population miserable, and that there will be a need for government intervention in society and the economy to offset the worse effects…

His sayings were implemented in 2008 across 99% ; those same 5% benefitting the most from the bail outs blackmailed our politicians to implement austerity which we have swallowed because we still on a whole believe household finances is applicable to national fiscal management…

We continue to vote for MPS who come from the so called metropolitan professions i.e politicians, lawyers, ex-bankers. amongst whom 23% of all our MPS went to the 2 universities…

It was once said this brexit is just a diversion for the coming financial collapse…. maybe a rest is due.

Maybe supporting Arsenal and AW’s tactics were not as bad after all… 😛

  94. Joaquim Moreira says:

    Afternoon all!
Have we buy a new central forward?
Brexit… Arsenal must wait for the results because. I think, we can’t play with so many foreign in the team in the league.(Arsenal and the others).
A European citizen has the same rights that a local citizen and that concept is expanded to all the memberships countries.
I “vote” for Britain staying. In others:
    a) The place of the United Kingdom is in Europe. A UK in Europe makes Europe stronger.
    b) Leaving, what’s mean in the future? Out, no longer returns. In a divided society 50%, is a laugh advance to the dark
    c) Aren’t you UK? What that means? Did you prefer to be rather a set of kingdoms or spoken with one strong voice?

    Arsenal forever!

  95. rico says:

    Afternoon all.

So there’s a chance voting out could keep Stan away from English soil??

That’s made up my mind for me, Brexit it is… 😉 😉

  96. Malaga gooner says:

    Hi Rico
    Really optimistic about tonight’s game
I think we will do it
    Mickos hiding, he a jinx

  97. allezkev says:

Just seen a van driving down Victoria St with Vera Lynn playing over the loudspeaker and Leave posters all over it…

I could have sworn that Lee was driving it…

  98. goonster says:

Rico you 4.53 is so you. Lol but guess what though I think you re in for a rude awakening. The British people ll vote to stay in the EU and I ll be here goading you all day. Hehehehehe afternoon everybody.

  99. goonster says:

The Portuguese/Hungary game is the most entertaining of the tournament so far. Am enjoying it. Great for the neutral but it must be killing JM lol.

  100. goonster says:

Renato sanches is going to be some player. Still pissed benfica let him leave. With gaitan also on his way out. They ll be considerably weakened. I hate Porto but it seems they ll dominate the superliga for the foreseeable future with benfica being torn apart.

  101. goonster says:

Wow Switzerland vs Poland ll be a cracker. I see you guys got Iceland. Lucky bastards but hey you ll be going home in the next round. Hopefully you ll pull Croatia. Lol

  102. goonster says:

Oh my Italy vs spain….I ll not miss that game. That ll be a conte masterclass. I love the azzuris. Hope they go through. Can’t stand those cnutish spaniards.

  103. goonster says:

If I were the Icelandic manager I ll park the bus and hope you knock you mugs off via penalties. We all know how the English crumble when it comes to penalty shoot outs. Your history of bottling the penalty kicks is legendary. Italian 90 euro 98 hahahahahahah. I can’t wait.

  104. goonster says:

Am hoping the azzuris win the euro championship. They looked the best side so far. Plus am a big conte fan shame he’s with the chavs now.

  105. goonster says:

Lol even the Irish fans sang the Italian national anthem. Viva la Italia. Gosh I love the azzuris. Come on.

  106. Le Coq Monster says:

    Evening all .

I reckon this Euro`s is going all Leicester !…………….could be another unfancied winner !

So weve got The White Walkers !…….. strange how we fcuk up in the group and end up with what should be the easiest game ! 😉 ……………it`s all about getting to the next round and England did that and we have as good a chance as anyone, it`s like FA Cup stuff from now on in, no home and away or away goal crap, proper knock out footie !.

I dont know about you lot, but when I`m about whether on deliveries or not, if I see a fellow Gooner wearing the colours ( and believe me, I see more people in Arsenal shirts than any other team down here in Cornwall, maybe it`s just that Gooners like to wear a fantastic iconic shirt to show off whereas tossers like the Spuds have a shit plain white T-Shirt ! ) then I make a beeline for them and interrogate them until they call for help ! hahaha

Funny enough, I was once in Iceland and see a fellow Gooner and started giving him the full onslaught !………..after ten mins he said sorry but he had to go as he heard over the PA system that his mum was having a heart attack !…………….I said, “come on there`s no need to make excuses to try and get away from me, we are Gooners lets chat a bit longer !”……………he said…..” seriously, I need to go, she could be dead !”……………….Obviously my fellow Gooner was bored and making up any excuse so I had no choice but to push him in an upright freezer and carry on talking about Arsenal !……………..he then started to write on the condensation misting of the glass door, but I had no idea what language he was writing in, I think he was an Icelandic Gooner, gasping for air and shivering he wrote ………….. ! ECILOP EHT LLAC ENOEMOS EM PLEH ESAELP………………..at this point my wife shouted to me to hurry up as she was going to the check out til !…..I said goodbye to the Icelandic Gooner and said hope to meet him again !……………..not to upset the wife I scarpered down the aisle side stepped some paramedics and got to the til in time to get my card swiped for extra points !……………I love being a Gooner and meeting other Gooners !.

  107. Malaga gooner says:

Goonie I can’t believe your not supporting Ireland

You’ve gone down in my estimations

  108. obi says:

Goonster @6:48 Renato Sanchez is a better Ox/ Barkley/ Wilshire combined with high football IQ and an end product, and to be so young ..if he was British he will be 50m easily. I have seen him carved defenses like a hot knife through butter.

  109. goonster says:

Lol come on MG ?I love the azzuris. Alright tell you what I ll support Ireland for today but that’s it. Happy now?

  110. goonster says:

Obi I still believe the problem with oxcham is coaching. That kid has it all. Power pace tricks and a powerful shot on him. Seriously if he had a coach that plays to his strengths he ll be a beast. Why else would maureen want him? If he wasn’t English he ll be in the Carrasco embolo range right now. Poor bugger.

  111. Le Coq Monster says:

Personally, If England are out, I then support the country with the fittest looking women !…………………………so that leaves the home nations and Ireland out !………no offense, but I prefer a smouldering looking Italian woman drinking a glass of wine than an Irish woman drinking from a can of Guinness whilst polishing her knuckledusters ! 😆

  112. rico says:

I think you will be after your last comment LC, those poor Irish ladies…. 😉

I couldn’t support a foreign country over one of our own, well, apart from Wales and Scotland…

    🙂

  113. goonster says:

Rico we both know you re not a “continental ” so am not surprised. You have never supported the oranje. Even when I begged you refused. Lol

  114. Le Coq Monster says:

Thanks Goonie……………………you may be a blonde Adonis, but I`ll have to politely refuse as I`m a married man !………………plus you now have a national team playing TotalShitBall so the drugs and porn are not enough to sway me ! 😆 😆 😆

  115. goonster says:

Damn LC you cut me deep right now. Total shitball he says. Wow that ll definitely leave a mark. Lol

  116. Le Coq Monster says:

It hurts me too Goonie as my best mate is Dutch and I hate to see him cry ! 😀

I dont know what you HHers take on Piers Morgan is ?……………but I worked out probably the best anagram ever of his name !…………..his full name ( from wikipedia) is………… Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan …………………….also known as……………….Huge Fat Penis Sperm Organ.
I dont mind him, but thats his anagarm and it`s a belter ! hahaha

  117. goonster says:

That’s why you guys are going home in the next round. Iceland ll pull the shock of the century. England 0 Iceland 3????

  118. Le Coq Monster says:

Got to go Goonie !………the wife is reaching for the brasso !……….that`s a subtle hint that if I dont come sit and watch some TV, she`ll polish the knuckledusters ! 😆

    Night !.

  119. obi says:

LC@8:38, am here Lmao. On that note am out. Good stuff, only on HH. What a blog: football, politics, alcohol and women …with decency, full day.

  120. goonster says:

Obi why else do you think am always here. 5 years and counting.its a great blog. Am glad you stuck around.???

  121. Hell Raising Devil says:

According to that article…..whichever way the people of GB vote you will all be screwed up. At the end of the day politicians are there only for their own gains. not to serve you but to fill their pockets and have power which only the select few can have.

  122. Adam says:

Some of the lightning was intense Rico. Seemed like it was just outside the window. The street was like fast-running river. Extraordinary.

  123. rico says:

We had similar here a few nights ago Adam, incredible storm and fast flowing rivers. I thought about trading my car in for a dinghy… 😉

  124. Adam says:

Back home again as the London Underground is completely screwed.
Rico. No, it was to be Salisbury but I can’t get to Waterloo so I have had to cancel. Total mess up on the Tube.

  125. Lee says:

Brudder Kev has manufactured an ark so as not to lose any work today……….

My journey this morning started by aquaplaning on a country road at 5.15am (fucking scary) Kicked off my train at Shenfield, catch a slow train to Ilford, no buses laid on so got a cab to Gants Hill and caught the central line to Liverpool street……….the whole journey took 2.5 hours!!!!

Planes, trains and automobiles in the pissing fucking rain!

  126. Wavy says:

Perhaps they’ll cancel the Brexit vote due to inclement weather, if the result goes the ‘wrong’way!
No rain here, not due till 7.00 pm seemingly.

    Morning all.
