Morning all,
I hope we can close the gap. Next season we have to improve on this current gap.
You want to be in that situation where you walk on the pitch and the other teams show respect because you are the winners.
Hopefully, along with our young players, we will have the chance to do it.
That’s Mikel Arteta speaking.
Reality is, we have listened/read that kind of comment from one of our players for the last 4/5 seasons.
Nothing changes.
We end up battling it out for a top four finish, when really, we should be doing so so much better.
Prior to Sundays fixture, Graeme Souness said that if we get top four again this season, it will truly be a great achievement as in his view, this current squad is the weakest ever under Wenger.
I’m not sure I agree with that, I’m sure we’ve had worse since the break up of the invincibles.
My own view is that Souness draws that conclusion because we don’t have and ‘world class’ players. Last season we had the Dutchman, before that we had Fabregas and Nasri and so it goes on.
Just how easily he forgets that we have French International Sébastien Squillaci in our current squad is beyond me!
Ramsey is another who has been talking to afc.com.
He reckons we are handling the pressure a we fight for a top four finish. Sorry, but who makes such rubbish up?
Pressure is about winning trophies and titles, not securing a place in the Champions League. Sadly though, it seems just like certain fans, some players have started to believe that it”s ok to talk up a top four finish almost like it’s been an acceptable season.
But no doubt they have picked that up from someone else………
Talking of that group, there is only one place to finish and that is with Alisher Usmanov. during an interview in Moscow, he said:
“The team has no superstars now,” Should the team finish fourth in England’s Premier League this season, Kroenke “would probably be happy.”
He also said that he “will think what to do with Arsenal” by the end of the season. “In our understanding, Kroenke has no plans to sell his stake, but we also won’t sell out, as we are the team’s fans.
I’m sure there are many fans who hope he never succeeds in his quest to own the club we all love.
Not me, I’d welcome him with open arms today…..
Then we’d see ambition, maybe even a couple of superstars too.
The most important part of what Mr Usmanov has said is ‘but we also won’t sell out, as we are the team’s fans’
My biggest fear was that one day he will get fed up with waiting and go to the neighbours.
But he’s a fan, thank goodness for that eh……
That’s it for another day…..
What!! am I the first again ?
You better rite a love letter for your gf.
Seems like it SD…
Morning all….
Lmfao… a very good post as always. Not sure I agree with everything though…
AU being a fan? Didn’t PHW tell us Stan was a fan of the club too? I still hope AU is allowed on the board. But then since he has so much money he could easily donate a £40M cheque or he should agreed to the sponsorship deal when IG allegedly mistakenly wrote to one of his companies.
That way the fans will truly know it is AW and the board who do not want to spend big money to make us successful….
Apologies morning all btw…
Morning Rico. There is something very odd about Graham Souness these days I think. He opens his mouth and effluent spills out. He seems to have undergone a metamorphic reversal of functions. It therefore follows that if that’s what comes out of his mouth, then surely he must also talk out of his arse to complete the reversal.
Ts – that’s all I want to know.
Is it SK that won’t spend? if so, roll on AU
If it’s 100% AW who won’t spend, then roll on a more ambitious manager.
Morning Adam. He always sounds like he’s have a couple of bottles of Cava to me…
Mok, any chance you could explain what on earth you are on about please?
Mok is that a Mensa related post? Thought not…bellend!
At least Usmanov seems to be an Arsenal fan, attending many games this season.Kroenke has supposedly handed control of the club to his son, neither of them even comong to home games .If the russians money can bring us siverware after 8 years of purgatory ,then let him come on board.
Mok. Crack=Bad.
Intelligence=Good.
And he’s knocked a few boxes together Jay so all his family can be together…
I’m just glad he’s sticking around…
AU saying he is a fan is not a bad thing at all… I am just thinking even Vladimir Antonov claimed he was a portsmouth fan 😉 Lerner claimed all his family have always supported AV…
The mauren-ho news is doing my head-in this morning… talkshite are having a special moment….
People forget Rednose regained the title from Mauren-ho by merely buying Carrick. He is not as special as the media will like people to believe. My bad 18 trophies and counting…
Mourinho joined Chelsea after they had finished second in the league and reached the CL semi’s under Ranieri. Inter had won three Scudetto’s prior to his arrival there and at Real his requirement is to beat Barcelona (at all costs). Three fully loaded Presidents (Abramovich/ Moratti/ Perez) all demanding instant success. Only at Inter has he left of his own accord, knowing full well in advance the desperate struggle they’re undertaking to cut the wage bill for FFP, which alone was higher than their turnover two years ago.
THe spent over €430.5 Million spent on RM squad since 2009–10, for 2 trophies including Copa del Rey trophy by the special one.
3 years at Inter, the team won several titles but found themselves with a cumulative loss of €509 million in just three years – over half a billion!
He spent £225.76m at Chelsea in just 3 years or so…
He has spent more money on players since he started his managerial career just over 10 years ago than what AW and Moyes have spent in their combined 40 year careers…
Bin Laden was a Gooner as was Vladimir The Impaler.
Morning all.
Rico, leave Aaron alone.
They tried to get a quote from Theo, but he was busy in front of he mirror 🙂
Ts – I think JM is on a begging mission to Roman. Wait and see if he gets there….
Jose he is totally over rated, but by none more than himself lol
Takes all sorts Adam 😉
Ha ha Scott, you need to catch up though, Walcott is not my favourite any more. Not that he ever was 😉
Bin Laden owned shares in Lockheed Martin… 😀
TS. I have told you many times about listening to that radio station. I am beginning to detect a masochistic side to your nature. 🙂
Morning all,
Rich people stay rich by investing not giving their money away. So Usmanov donating money with no return or guarantee it’ll be invested in players is never gonna happen.
I still feel the board told Kroenke give us the total control of finances and we’ll guarantee a small constant return with zero investment.
someone said another reason Roman fell out with mauren-ho was to do with his or his families political views…
He certainly wouldn’t have fancied Mourinho’s wife.
Morning all,
Surprise, surprise, fag end of the season and the club is trying to whip us up into a frenzy over finishing top 4 again, saves them having to talk about any title ambitions I guess.
Adam, Highbury / Emirates was probably the safest seat in the house when Bin Laden was in town.
Bit of a looker is Jose’s wife….got a face for radio!
You got me down to the tee, Adam…
You haven;t got my lillywhite file open in front of you have you… 😀
I like over-weight German grannies in fishnets and pointed heels standing on my nether regionss… 😉 I am still seeking therapy… 😛
Bradster. There’s rich and there’s rich. Lee is very rich as is Kev but neither are quite in Jabba’s league. I imagine that he wants a bit of fun in his life. He is a big sports fan who fenced for his country and must be intensely competitive too. He seems to have invested emotionally in Arsenal. And, looking at him, there is always arterial sclerosis to consider.
Bradster, that my be the way Kroenke operates
Not all rich folk are tight 😉
Boring isn’t it Micko….
TS. I knew you had something in common with Rooney. 🙂
Lee. A blinding Richard. 🙂
Adam, Lee you two are so kind … 😮
Its about marrying up in society, not the way she looks but how happy she makes you when you bring in millions a year… :d
hi Brad, Scott
I noticed you left yourself off of that list of rich Londoners Adam…
Brad… from your logic which I agree with btw… then Roman will not be investing into chelsea and Stan is correct not to invested. My reason is that philantropist in football like BB’s walker and Wolves Molineux never saw a penny back 😉
so what causes Roman to spend….
Come on guys, whip yourselves into a frenzy and our players will not need to 🙂
philanthropist… even
As a child her mother had to tie a pork chop around her neck to get the family dog to play with her…
Ginge, he doesn’t spend, he lends he club the cash.
Every cent is owed back at some stage.
He’s uber rich is our Adam….
I spent all my money on Prosecco Rico, but it didn’t do me any good. I learnt a very important lesson though. I just can’t remember what it was. 🙂
Do you think when Aw said every man thinks he has a beautiful wife at home was a dig at Mauren-ho? 😀
Morning all, Nice one Rico, You keep banging that same old Usmanov Drum, Brings a smile to my face every time. Usmanov has got Billions, if he wanted control of The Arsenal all he need do is put in an offer that even Kroenke couldn’t turn down. Money talks in business circles and everything has its price you just have to offer enough. Usmanov has his fingers in many pie’s he strikes me that he wants to be involved as he tries to buy shares when they come up for grabs but he isn’t pushing the boat out with his offers, not somebody who looks to me to be trying that hard for control. This current major shareholder is doing a very good job when you think about it, he controls the club where it makes profit he has in all honesty helped to make Arsenal stand tall with all its competetors. Granted he hasn’t spent much of his own money on players and he doesn’t worry about filling our Empty Emirates trophy cabinet but he is making sure that our head stays above water. Asene Wenger Kroenke’s Director of all things football has been wise in his spending he has managed to keep us in the top flight for all these years, in actual fact the man is a genius, Frustrating as fcuk but still a genius. Arsenal football club works like a profesional football club should, it only spends within what it takes in. This is balanced out by good people upstairs, our profits are shared out to help pay off our creditors and also everybodies wages, Kroenke probably takes his bit out as well, and why shouldn’t he. Arsenal football club has to be said is a very succesful club, maybe not trophy wise but finanancialy they are up there with the best. We are steeped in tradition and we try to d,o things the right way ( the guard of honor) for United the other day, went against the grain with a lot of supporters but tradition means a lot to Arsenal and some day we will have our Guard of honor. Many fans would love Arsenal to go out and buy 3 or 4 £30 mill players, wouldnt we all, but spending money like that is financial suicide, Look at the likes of Chelsea and City they will be entering the market again this coming summer they will spend millions and may just get a couple of points better than us, they may pick up the odd trophy but they won’t take them all. Usmanov is an unknown where he’s money has come from who knows, but in my view Kroenke has been in charge long enough for me to see he only wants the Arsenal to carry on as its always done, yes he is not a big spender he also keeps his mouth shut and keeps out of sight, he has the right people in charge in my opinion and he lets it tick over smoothly. I feel that money will start to be spent but not as we would like to see, Wenger will carry on next year as he has previous years i expect to see a few more strange faces come in but i dont expect to see household names. If Wenger achieves CL and the £30 million that comes with it we may not have to sell too many. But expect to see new faces. But keep banging that old drum.
Lee 🙂
Face like a smacked arse?
http://www.buzzfeed.com/lukelewis/things-posh-people-like
Scott I assume you mean Roman…
a nice get out of jail card that investment is…
Abromavich knows where his money is going and dictates who to buy.
Morning Steve. It all begins with success on the field. Attendances, sponsorship, TV money, quality of players and the ability to keep them and attract new ones, goodwill of fans. If Arsenal want to carry on as they are they will slip backwards. I think that ST sales will start to be a problem soon. Who is going to pay to watch a club in decline and after Wenger, that could become a club in limbo? Other clubs won’t be standing still. For me Kroenke may be a new breed of owner in that he is detached and unwilling to invest. This may work with Wenger scraping into the CL, but afterwards? His problem is that he is competing against clubs who don’t run as a business and thus, in a financially-driven environment, will find himself increasingly at a disadvantage.
I want Usmanov in because he has virtually limitless funds and wants to put Arsenal back at the top. He must be a very smart man to have got to where he has. Can he really be worse than Kroenke? We don’t know about Usmanov really, but we do know what Kroenke is all about. If Wenger could get a chance with big money at his disposal, then who knows?
Very well put Sir SP1…
The AU is a fan statement always makes me laugh… it carries a hint of the whiff that similar statements made by dictators across the globe carry… they all come in as the leader of the poor people… and turn out to be even worse…
As you have rightly stated SP1, if AU was a fan as much as he says he is; with all the money he has… I am sure even Stan can not reject a 1 billion pound offer for his shares… unless of course Stan is a fan and wants to be on the board as a majority share owner 😉
I think so too Lee..
Now now Adam 😉
nice post Lee re 10:44 ‘outing’ Adam… 😀
Yes Ginge.
There is method in his madness!!
Morning Sp, I will 😉
Yes, I like red trousers and my name is Adam Peregrine Eglantine Adamant. But I am not posh. 🙂 I am a cockney geezer.
Morning Adam And Ginge me old mate, When i looked at that game against United i realised that the team that Wenger has assembled was not as bad as i was begining to believe. We actually played the Champions off the park. Yes i understand that were lacking in certain places but the effort they put in made me realise that Wenger has seen in these players something i hadn’t. This stunned me if i tell the truth i was beginning to think that we were miles from where i thought we should have been but in reality were not that bad at all. We do have a fairly young team and where we have brought some Donkeys along the way we have also included quite a few diamonds as well. I feel that should we change owners and money becomes a throwaway comodity we may miss out on seeing this team Gel together. I feel we only need a few tweeks and i don’t believe we are that far off.
Sp, but that is what we have been saying for a long time. We are always 4 players away from winning a trophy, but we do nothing about it..
If nothing changes this summer, it will be same old same old next season. Whilst other clubs are overtaking us..
Everton
Liverpool
Tottenham
West Brom
And one or two other are on their way up, we’ll be passing them on the way down unless we sign at least those four. And not cheap hopefuls either
I like red trousers. M&S have some in now, new for their summer range. I may have to invest…..
SP1, apart from what Jose did at Chelsea or what Munchini did at $hitty last year I think all successful clubs have had a core that has played together for 2 or 3 years.
Even at Chelsea, Ranieri’s core of Lampard, Cech, Terry had been there before Jose with the addition of makelele; and with Jose’s effect they became successful.
The reason why Swansea are coc champions! Some fans do not appreciate the importance of having a stable team over a long period or even over 2 years. We have not had that since 2006 and that is why we are where we are.
However, as Adam rightly said and twisted by me ,the board can not expect miracles every summer from AW without financial backing…
Also, when Rosicky plays, we play better.
How old is he now. He won’t play many games next season either….
Adam are you going to Wigan match?
Shame the two men can’t work together Ts. Then we’d have the best of both worlds..
But that’s men for you 😉
Rosicky was the heartbeat of the team on Sunday…
We need a younger, injury free version…
I am Lee. I think Kev is coming with us. You going?
Rico. I buy my red trousers from Aldi.
Yes your right we do need improvement, Arteta and Rosiski are at the handshake time they will have to be offloaded, that in my opinion is where we need to strengthen. Our forward line has not realy done the business for us but they are quite new, i would like to see a change there. I have said for quite some time that keeper wise i was not happy, i would like to see change there, but if the rest of them can muster the same effort as they did the weekend were not that far away.
Yes I think I will…mangal first???
Steve. Far be it from me to defend Man Utd, but, after winning the PL, they were way, way below par mate. They made us look far better than we actually are in my opinion. Great teams don’t lose the games we have this season.
I shall hook up with Kev and bring Mrs Adam. Should be fine.
We shall speak.
I’ve just ordered pie and mash for lunch today
(Kelly’s Bethenal Green Rd)….living the dream!
Sounds like a date….
Food of the Gods Lee. Liquor?
Nasser Al-Khelaifi is confident AW will join them next summer…
PHW is adamant AW will stay…
Rico… men work together very well… to mess up the planet 😀
I’ve spoken to Mangal and told them about Mrs A’s imopending visit…they will be laying on extra Efes and Billcart Salmon!!!
Liquor, chilli vinegar and white pepper….I also specify burnt pies, propper high life stuff!
She just told me that if you get out of order she’s going to knock you out Lee. 🙂
Adam, I understand what your saying and agree, but we were quicker in the tackle and had more intent, as you have rightly said we have not performed well in other matches, but i have not seen the same commitment either from the players. Gelling takes time, it doesn’t help when we have the injuries that we have specially from certain positions, get those positions filled with players that play regulary and we have a winning squad. This season i had wrote our chances off fairly early, i never thought we had covered our arses well enough and was proved right. But we now have players leaving and i feel Wenger will be hard and offload a few who have been stawlorts. Personally i don’t realy care about CL i want the Premier but it all helps along the way, and i want us to finish strong.
Aldi don’t sell clothes Adam… 😉
I just don’t want to get on the end of one of her right handers…especially after the boat show fiasco!! 😆
Indeed Ts…
What time do I need to be there by on Saturday Lee/Adam 🙂
The Harlow branch does Rico…
It’s Tuesday 14th and you are more than welcome…
Overall I agree with a lot of that Steve, but Wenger has left us woefully short this season and not for the first time. How a club like Arsenal can go into a PL season with the paucity of striking options that we have is beyond careless. It is criminal negligence.
Lee. She cracked up after that one 🙂
You are always more than welcome Rico.
I see we have a new potential investor from the east. Mustafa Jodrell is a multi billionaire too apparently.
Well I never knew that Lee. I might have to take a trip ….
I don’t eat Mangal food though 😉
Sp, I don’t care about CL football either, we have little chance to win it, especially the way the referees deal with our matches…
Rico. The smell of grilled Halloumi hangs heavily in the air at Mangal.
I cannot disagree there mate, but we had to let the new guys have a go. It seems easy to say but we were held to ransom by Walcott so we know that Wenger had to give him some time. Giroud Hasn’t hit the ground running Poldi the same Theo has been given chances but we know he is not the one, and the Gerve what can we say about him, not a lot.
Your right there Rico 🙂
Off out for a bit ,catch you later.
Steve. Top teams have top strikers and I can’t see that we have one. If we did then we very well might have beaten Man Utd. I reckon, without too much detailed thought here, that an Aguero would have got us another 7-10 points this year and possibly a cup final.
Ah, is that from the Jodrell Bank dynasty?
You tease Adam…
Agree re Rosicky Lee. does make you wonder how much better we may have been this season with him playing 30+ games…
Same could be said about Diaby too….
Why our daft manager relied on them both I don’t know….
It’s a forlorn hope Rico. I have no illusions any more. 🙂
Yes Lee. That very clan. The Jodrellians.
Ken Barlow, aka William Roache has been arrested for rape of a child. Historical offence….
Nor do I Adam….
Rico. 🙁
Of course AU will be like a dictator but the difference will be that we will love him because he could have tried to buy shares from other clubs but he seems obsessed with Arsenal like most of us fans.
So I say, let him dictate, which means he wouldn’t need the board anymore (what is their use, they don’t own shares anymore)
He will employ new executives , David Dein will definitely be the Vice Chairman again and will be running the club but most importantly, Wenger will be given a blank cheque .
It is like Mercedes buying Brawn (F1) they didn’t just buy the F1 team they actually bought the engineering genius of Brawn and his team.
Therefore AU will not just be buying Arsenal FC he will also be acquiring the genius of Arsene Wenger running the club without any financial constraints created by incompetent CEOs and non executive Directors.
Manure Utd has a separate sponsorship deal for their training kit that is in Millions of pounds.Tell me what are they doing in Emirates that seems to amaze them , Arsenal is in the richest commercial City in Europe , we should be making twice the money Man Utd is making outside trophy related earnings (because we haven’t won any in 8 years 🙁 )
so what causes Roman to spend ;_ He invests in the S.W.6 branch of the Sunlight financial laundry I reckon.
So Steve we need a midfielder or two , a keeper and a forward . Does that mean a whole new spine or just players with a backbone.
Adam, I am actually feeling quite optimistic about the club today 🙂
SD – I think the only think he would dictate to Wenger is spending and on serious players….
The rest would be quite easy I would imagine 😉
I’d say both Potter. A new spine and those players need a backbone…
That’s because the Sun is out Rico. 🙂
I am too though. I am even wearing my red trousers and walking in a slightly camp fashion.
I can see you now Adam 😉
Maybe it’s the sun, or maybe it’s because FFP is coming in and we are going to sign quality players in the summer 🙂
Yes Rico. Dear Uncle Ivan said last year, the year before that and even the year before the one before that, we would be major beneficiaries of FFP and this surely means that great players will be arriving this year. Guys like Bert Schneiderlin, Wilfred Weinman and Lance Lowton.
😆 Adam. That’s exactly why I have good vibes about the approaching transfer window.
Certain fans have suggested we are to keep the faith and believe in FFP. I cannot wait to watch it all unfold over the next few months…
On that note, I am off out into the glorious sunshine with the woofa….
Catch up in a while….
howdy folks whats new?
Goonster
Where’s Mok…?
Hi Kev. He’s donated his brain to medical science. 🙂
Calm down Stan
Don’t diss the Mok, Adam…
He is a being of infinate wisdom…
I am in awe…
Well actually i’m parked by the A4..
Anyway Adam, how are you buddy?
What a beautiful day.
One to Terminal 3 and all is well in the world. 😉
BooWhere is everyone?? 🙂 🙂 Good write, rico. Souness always sounds drunk. I hate how most commentators are just so down on Arsenal. But then again, they have their agenda.
Red trousers, Adam? 😆 That is camp. 😛
London Calling…
Lata
Goonie!! How are you? I hope Mrs. G is getting better and that you have been on your best behavior. AK, I bought what is only my third pair of shoes for the year. Well done, me. 😉
Not bad Kev. Lee wants us all to dine in Mangal before the Wigan debacle. We are ok. What about yourself? No mixed Mezes for you though.
Hi Agag. Kev will tell you that I am extremely camp. 🙂
Haha, Adam. Do you match your red trousers with some wild animal print? 😉
Afternoon all…..
Sorry to have missed you Ak..
How’s tricks Goonie and agag??
Hey Agag. Good going buddy. 😛
Now go and get matching handbags. 😉
Sod the expense. 😛
Gone now
Boo, rico. 🙂 How are you? That was a loooong walk. 😛
AK, I am working on it. I need a sedate looking bag. 😛
I’m good thanks, are you?
Was a lovely walk, through the woods and all the bluebells are coming out… 🙂
Summer is on it’s way….
I’m good but busy. Eurgh. That’s, nice. Finally, your winter seems to have been unending. 😛 It’s so hot and humid here though. My electricity bills are through the roof. 😕
I like Ramsey’s latest interview. Love how he actually says he’s been played out of position. Please take note, AW!!
It’s been winter here since 2011 agag 😉
How many have been played out of position – so many careers may have been so different if only they’d played in a position more natural to their game.
Nikki B is one who springs to mind, I know the man was a big head, but had he been played central from the off, we may never have needed to waste £10 million on Giroud….
Hahaha, rico. I findd the cold depressing, to be honest. It is such a chore putting on a zillion layers of clothing. 😀
But when Jack really returns, I reckon Ramsey will be put on the left again. It would be a shame, he is finding consistent form where he is now.
Shame about Bendy, I agree. Although he didn’t help himself with supremely arrogant claims about being the best, etc. etc. and the lack of goals to back all that up. Giroud will come good, I think. He always tries, at least. Although of course, he also always misses. 😉
Good evening Lady and Gentlemen.
Nice article Rico.
But although I agree that Usmanov should be given a place in the board I still do not want him to buy the club outright. I hate SK for that dont worry. I just feel it is not right that one person owns the club. I would prefer it if no one had more than 49% of the shares…….like the German model. In that scenario it would be 3 persons who own the club with each one of them being on the board.
MOK is a belend rico like adam ll say the likes of him should just be boiled into gum.hahahahhahahah adam i told that joke at home and cassie laughed so hard she farted! afternoon good people.
As do I agag, not good for the bones 🙁
I’m not sure re Ramsey, surely AW can see he is playing better when played central.
But I’m still not by him, some of his passing against the Mancs was dire..
Evening devil, thanks..
I understand your concern, but unless they are prepared to work together, then out of the two, I prefer AU.
I was talking to a friend last week who reminded me of what happened to the Kroenke cowboys after SK’s son took over and everything went downhill..
‘You have been spoilt’ he told the fans….
I don’t want to hear that same twit telling us Arsenal fans that…..
Goonster. I am pleased she found it amusing.
Over the years my virtual pot for glue making has grown so large as more and more candidates for “boiling down” have popped up, I do believe that quite a profitable business selling bottled glue is possible. After all a picture of Adrian Durham on the bottle and the knowledge that he been rendered down into a sticky, adhesive substance could prove quite an attractive purchase. I have bottle designs for him, Mike Riley, Fergie, Souness, Tony Cascarino, Evra, Chris Waddle, Martin Atkinson, Tony Gale, another one for Evra, Pulis, Shawcross, Alex McLeish and did I mention Evra? – and any number of others too.
hahahahahhahahah dont start now adam…my ribs ache.
Mangal’s Adam, count me in mate…
Just text me the time we have to rendezvous, and I shall meet you next to the roasting pit… 😀
Rico, you keep avoiding me… 😆
you missed out shrek….hahahahahaha he needs to be boiled into shoe polish.
I think that Mok wear’s Jimmy Choo shoes.
Or is it Choo Choo?
Stan, it’s good to have you back.
Things have been far too sensible on here during your absence.
hey AK….how’s tricks? i missed ya old timer. how’s the mrs?
I thought it was you Kev 😉
heeeeeeey is that an indictment? are you saying am bring “senseless” back to HH?
Rico….. 😛
How’s MrsG Stan?
No Stan, you bring laughter …
Micko missed ya as well…
awwwwwwww micko missed lil ol me? mrs G is good kev. she is faring better. thanks for your prayers guys. i appreciate.
Goonie!! We have missed your hyperly hyper comments. 😀 Good to hear about Cassie.
rico, you’re a hard one to please. 😛
Kev, busy day today?
hiya AGAG, i missed y’all too. life just isnt the same without HH. how are you though? still shopping i see.
I am well. Busy. I haven’t really been shopping. Been months since i bought anything. have been saving up. 😉
saving up???? now i ve heard everything! AGAG saving up??? its the sign of the apocalypse i tells ya.
I am agag 😉
You not talking to me goonie 😉
I am trying. 😛
I am off now!! Nighty night, rico. Good night, all!
crikey but i did mama bear…didnt you see my comment on MOK? good night AGAG…
Nighty Night agag – sleep well….
Pulling your doo dah goonie…
HH really is a unique blog isn’t it?
whats new rico? are we really close to signing anyone?
now am hearing of a certain KONDOGBA? who is he rico?
I take that as a huge compliment Adam. Thank you.
It sure has attracted and retained a great bunch of Gooners
goonster – I don’t think so. But I know no more than any other fan…. Annoyingly 😉
he sounds like a mean bastard besides i like the way his names ends with “GBA” like a certain ivorian bastard that gave me nightmares. sign him up arsene.
II can’t find anything for ‘Kondogba’..
Popping off to eat. Back shortly
well a friend told me we are into a certain kondogba….
alright maam……got to go grab a few burgers too.
Evening…. again 😉
Hi rico, see Song still hasn’t sorted his barnet out, stroll in the park for Bayern so far.
Careful you don’t turn into a burger stan, they’re not 1 of your 5 a day you know, I have missed his daily insults kev.
All quiet here so I’m off for the night..
Enjoy the footie guys and gals…
Night all….
Hi Micko, just caught you 😉
I hope Bayern batter them, Song and his barnet and all…..
Gone now….
Nite rico.
Night Micko….
Bayern taking the piss big time….!
Steady on wath, barca only need 8 to knick it !
Nice to see Song having such a pony game strolling about in his defensive duties… Where have we seen that before lol
Thanx for the 15 mil……….. 😀
Was Cesc grizzling at the end there the big girls blouse… what a wanker… He didn’t cry when he set up their first goal at the Nou Camp the other year did he….!
Record aggregate semi final defeat in the history of the champions league, Cesc, Song, put that in your cake and bake it !!!
How are the mighty Baraca fallen!
7-0 aggregate defeat for the UEFA bum boys. What a hoot…
Didn’t see the game, but it seems that Alex Song put in one of his regulation performances.
£15million!!!
Good money for old rubbish.
Wonder if we could flog Barcalona a couple more of our ‘superstars’…? They really are stupid enough.
Bendtner or Denilson perhaps?
Morning all…
Still laughing at that result – poor old Arsenal rejects 🙂
Good Morning Lady and Gentlemen.
As Adam rightly said……How are the mighty Baraca fallen!
And as Kev pointed out…….Good money for old rubbish. Wonder if we could flog Barcalona a couple more of our ‘superstars’…?
I saw the game yesterday. Cesc was given a 4 by calciomercato and 3.5 by Corriere (both Italian) and tbh if I had to hand out the ratings I would not have given him more than 3. He was so invisible. Then again he is not a forward so at least that is on his side.
Song?? I would have given him yes a couple of yanks in his bum. Where did we see that before you asked Kev? We had a whole indigestion of it. It was good to see him in someone else’s shirt giving that kind of shit performance which used to make us nauseatic. And getting 16million for it. lol. Shades of Ade and above 20 million.
Morning Rico, our first signing!!
Arsenal has agreed a new three-year partnership with Nairobi-headquartered Imperial Bank in a move that further expands the club’s national-based sponsorship portfolio.
The agreement represents the first major international financial agreement of its kind for the English Premier League club and will see Imperial Bank issue co-branded debit cards throughout Kenya and Uganda. The deal will enable Arsenal to build on its strong support in Africa, with the cards set to offer a range of club-related benefits and incentives to Imperial Bank customers and Arsenal fans throughout the two countries – including official club merchandise and match tickets.
In addition, the partnership will also enable Arsenal to get closer to its fans on the continent through its Arsenal Soccer Schools programme, which will see coaches visit Kenya and Uganda to run coaching clinics on behalf of Imperial Bank. The new agreement comes after Arsenal last month sealed a partnership with Indonesian mobile phone operator Telkomsel in a move that allowed the firm to become the official mobile network of the club in the country. Vinai Venkatesham, head of global partnerships at Arsenal, said of the new partnership: “Imperial Bank is a well-known and trusted institution that puts its customers, communities and social responsibility at the heart of everything it does. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Imperial Bank.”
Abdulmalek Janmohamed, Imperial Bank managing director, added: “Imperial Bank and Arsenal share common values when it comes to integrity, financial sustainability and independence. We are also known for having the community at the heart of our business. This partnership will see the bank reach out to new market segments while at the same time supporting our commitment to creating meaningful customer experiences.”
Good to see AFC doing deals which bring in money.
Better still to see it spent on new players.
Until we do so………..I will hold my breath.
Good morning Lee.
Morning Devil & Lee…
So the club are busy behind the scenes. Hope it’s not taking priority over player deals!!
I am off for the day today. Heading to find the sea and sand 🙂
Catch up later…
tbh…….out of Valdez, Song, Villa, Cesc and maybe Sanchez I would only take Valdez and Cesc for next season. But if we were to get a powerhouse CDM that would leave only two positions for Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, Cesc, and maybe TR07.
Morning Rico, Lee, Devil and all.
Only a couple of years ago I was longing to see the mighty Catalans reduced to this. For a long time they and Real Madrid were the by-products of a fixed system that ensured their monetary superiority in the face of all fairness and common sense. They were the cause of the craziness that consumed the fixed and rigged Spanish league and led to much bad feeling. Now, like the bloated man who eats all the cakes but spares the crumbs for those he considers beneath him, they have become the symptoms of the rot that is seeping through Spanish football. Long, long may it last.
The myth of “The Special One” went up the chimney this week But we can now see And smell the putrid stench of hypocrisy that engulfs Barcelona and their disgusting sense of entitlement. I, for one, applaud both very loudly.
Mr Lee. Dis is gud time news for di wenger man.
Rico. Don’t forget your bucket and spade. 🙂
however…….I still prefer Julio Cesar over Valdez.
Devil,he’ll be cheaper too….
* They say football is a game of two halves. Not for me it isn’t. I regularly down eight or nine pints whilst watching a live game on Sky TV in my local.
F**k Barca.
F**kk Real.
Jose…well, he isn’t worth a F**k 🙂
Morning all.
