Another new signing confirmed. £19.1 Million bid made for William Carvalho?

Morning all.

The sports world has gone mad! Well, Wimbledon!

Following the opening day battles on court, both Serena Williams and Liam Broady were given code violations for swearing on court!

The BBC had to apologise for Heather Watson’s ‘colourful language’ – the ‘F’ word!

Australian Nick Kyrgios was heard muttering ‘dirty scum’ during his match and faces slapped wrists or a fine.

Did you know that these naughty tennis players can be fined up to £12.500 for ‘audible obscenities’!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one who really swears a lot but I have my moments, as I’m sure we all do and these tennis players are no exception. Battering them for an odd swear word seems a tad unfair to me, especially when the likes of Rooney, Terry and co can be seen/heard telling a ref to ‘F Off’ after he’s given a decision against them that they don’t like. Do they cop a fine? Of course not so why do tennis players?

Tennis I hear you say questioningly…. Come on, give me a break, how many posts can I write about Petr Cech.

Cool!
Cool!

Anyway, talking about the mad goings on in sport, what about Gervinho! What a twit…

Apparently, he was heading out of Roma for a new footballing challenge with Al-Jazira. However, he made a few ‘obscene’ demands which have seen the deal collapse. A private beach, a helicopter, accommodation for all his family and to top it all off, he wanted tickets to fly back to the Ivory Coast on a regular basis!

What is he smokin’?…..

Anyway, back to Arsenal and there’s a new addition.

No, not another player but a new member on the medical team.

In a statement on their official website, Huddersfield Town have announced that their Head of Medical and first team physio, James Haycock, has left to join Arsenal. This appointment comes in the wake of the departure of Declan Lynch, who left the Gunners to join Bath Rugby club.

Gossip:

Lukas Podolski has confirmed in one newspaper or another that Arsenal are in talks over a deal to sell him to Turkish side Galatasaray.

Eduardo Vargas hits the transfer headlines for us this morning. Funny what a few good goals at the Copa America can do eh and there’s a few reports going around which suggest we have made a £19.1 million offer for William Carvalho. Portugal under 21s were knocked out of  the European Championships last night by Sweden. The game finished 0-0 and went to penalties.

Guess who missed his to ensure his side went out? Yep, Carvalho! I bet he’s not feeling good this morning….

Finally – it’s the Womens World Cup semi-final today, well, early tomorrow morning and England are in in! Holders Japan stand between them and a place in the final against USA…

Go girls, you can do it!!

Have a good Wednesday, it’s going to be hot!

Good round-up rico, that Gervinho story typifies how some footballers have completely lost touch with reality! Wow, its 27.5 degrees indoors, gonna be sticky!

  2. rico says:

    Morning Andrew and all..

    Welcome Marshall…

Windows and doors open here and it’s blooming hot! Lovely though…

  3. rico says:

    Thanks Tai, Andrew..

Ha ha re Cech, I’m now waiting for the second player signed to write about. July 1st so things might start moving more…

  4. Drake says:

The F word is the part of the game in any sport,it the only word you can use when thing are not going your way, and it shows the competive side of yourself.if you are not allowed to express your feelings that will be boring for the game

  5. tsgh says:

Lol Good for Gervinho…; Al-Jazira have money, so all good if they want some flicks and misses.

Not sure why AS Roma will even consider selling him? Arguably their most important offensive player for the last 2 yeas. Destr0 was poor last season and Totti is on his last footballing legs at 40 y.o.; jajic was ok but no overly great…
Maybe Garcia has found a potential injury concern…

    If AS Roma need money, AW should give his old pal Garcia a call and get Pjanic asap… whilst he is at it he can also ask about Naingollan as I am still not convinced about William C.;

No offence to Jm our resident Portugese expert but apart from Deco, Ronaldo, Carvalho and maybe that ex-Chelsea RB from Porto almost all Portugese buys have flopped.

Boa Morten, Postiga come to mind…; with Postiga he was quality until he wore the sperds jersey. lol

    good read btw…

  6. Wavy says:

    Morning all.

One in, more to come? Nice effort!

Swearing at Wimbledon is just not cricket, chaps!!

As for Rooney and others I’d have their tongues surgically removed. that would sort it!

Is Theo the next ‘signing’ or will it be an addition from elsewhere? Who knows? Who can say?

What will happen to all these players who have ‘signed’ foe Barca if they have their transfer embargo extended beyond the New Year? It could happen if UEFA think they are taking the piss! Which they are! Then again there isn’t a ruling body in the world that has that kind of determination to clean up the underhand dealings of the ‘big clubs’ they cheat….let them get on with it! While the rest of the world turns a blind eye!

It’s the heat! It’s the heat., it makes me grumpy!

  7. tsgh says:

    Nigel Pearson sacking is shocking…

There is no loyal in football on either side of the fence; maybe no loyalty left in this world…

  8. enigma106 says:

    @tsgh

That’s the shocking thing mate. Gervinho has been one of Roma’s most influential players since he moved to the club. Now they wanna ship him off to some Emirati club offering big bucks.

Football can be such a cruel sport

  9. kilolo alfred says:

arsenal wenger should sign carvalho if he needs the team to won trophies, he shldnt rely on giroud and theo frm kilolo

  10. tsgh says:

Enigma, maybe Rudi found Gervinho’s real birth certificate. 😀

Drake- the media say W.C will be an upgrade for us so they must be right.. 😉

Admittedly I have only seen W.C a few times but even in the u-21 tournament I think Oliviera, Peirrera and Silva have been the driving force around W.C.

  11. Drake says:

It the 1st of july still no sign of arteta or flamini moving out.well daiby should have retired from football long time ago…arsenal is not where you get your last big cech(lol),there is MLS

  12. tsgh says:

Drake- Arteta will take over Aw’s job one day…
Arteta is not leaving unless he wants to..

Flamini n the other hand is huge liability however with King Abougone we probably need him too..

I was expecting Flamster to move to OM on a free if a deal could be agreed

  13. bondex says:

Morning all, nice post Rico….in times past getting Cech would have ended all dreams of having another player come to us,except the player is free of .If we get William then I think we would be moving closer to challenging for the trophy than we’ve done in the last 7 to 8 years… Gervinho is a comedian.

  14. rico says:

    🙂 Lee..

I too reckon the Pearson sacking is to do with his son, and the man handling of an opponent player last season…

  15. Lee says:

Well I’ve seen the Leicester video which Pearson’s son is fairly instrumental in….. to say the least!

  16. Tai says:

Just started writing about Cech…this is it today on my FB timeline…

Now That Cech Is A Gooner…

Arsene Wenger is one manager fans hate to love and love to hate in equal measure. Even Arsenal fans have created a sharp divide in opinions regarding the French tactician.

But hate him or love him, the sexagenarian remains one of the greatest managers of all time. His problem is coming from another generation … one of the very few living legends who saw tomorrow … one of the few workaholics who live daily to improve humanity … one of the very few species of creation who firmly believe in sowing before you reap.

He undoubtedly loves the game. Such love wouldn’t let him allow a team like Arsenal get into a private hand that could signify the end of an institution. He took the bull by the horns and even caught the goat by the balls – just to build Arsenal a dream stadium that would usher in a new era of an assured dawn. Such rare dedication from one without any percentage shares in the club needed sacrifices – huge sacrifices.

At the risk of not winning trophies, which managers are erroneously measured with, Le Prof went to work. A humane, gentleman of the highest order, the ex-Monaco coach had to sacrifice great players he already molded to rival clubs.

While religiously following his plan, another randy manager called along. Known as Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese opportunist came with exactly opposite of everything Wenger stood for. Loquacious, arrogant, the ex-Porto FC of Portugal coach arrived with a mindset to rule the football world within the shortest possible time.

With an unlimited reservoir of petro dollars, Mourinho was given free license to ‘kill’ and the self-styled ‘special one’ turned his gun barrels at Arsene and Arsenal … capturing Ashley Cole became his first move to announce he was in England to kill Wenger’s philosophy.

And like all antagonists in a well-scripted movie, Mourinho and Chelsea had it all their way. Signed all the great players, won all the trophies, made all the noises, taunting Arsene and Arsenal every second of it all.

But Wenger is one tenacious hunting dog. He knew the coming of this name-calling braggart had stretched the finishing line and added more endurance herbs to his daily coffee.

Wenger, as modest as ever, a professional who religiously played to the rule book, sold players to rival clubs – Pat Vieira; Nick Anelka; Ashley Cole; Emma Adebayor, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy; Robin van Persie; Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas, Alex Song, Alex Hleb;– all players he would have held tenaciously to if the stadium debt wasn’t biting deep.

People cursed him repeatedly for enriching his rivals with players and subsequently trophies – Cole at Chelsea, Nasri, Clichy, Kolo Toure at Man City, RVP at United all left Arsenal to trophy successes at rival clubs. But here was a consummate professional, who granted any of his departing players the wish of any preferred destination.

    And Wenger endured!

Presently Wenger signed Mesut Ozil and won his first trophy in nine years. He signed Alexis Sanchez and added two trophies in less than a year.

And he just added Petr Cech!

Like Arsene, I love the beautiful game. I have always admired any good player irrespective of the colours of his jersey. I have admired Cech right from the day he stepped feet in England. I saw Peter Schmichael, I saw David Seaman, I saw Edwin Van der Sar… I’m seeing Joe Hart, Hugo Iloris and so on. My honest submission is that Cech towers above them all. For the past ten years, he’s been my best keeper in EPL.

I watched this keeper save Chelsea points after points that even when Chelsea should fade, Cech kept them competitive. Against all odds, he stood firm against a far superior Barcelona side enroute to the UCL triumph.

And he’s far from being finished. At 33, I’m willing to bet he’d offer five more years at the very top.

When Mourinho forced Cole off the grips of Arsene and Arsenal, the self-centred Portuguese never knew this day would come when a great keeper like Cech would do a reverse. The ex-Madrid couch would have had countless fits and nightmares trying to dissuade Roman Abramovich from this transfer. But the Russian billionaire expressed why he’s made his money – live and let live.

To Mourinho and all Chelsea fans, I’d tell you – whatever goes around comes around. The football world was not created for your cosmic relief.

Speaking, and speaking honestly, the ten-year period that signaled the opposite trajectories of these two great clubs is a wonderful concept for a great movie. In a perfect movie setting Wenger is the ideal protagonist…and dear Arsenal a perfect lesson in diligent planning. Five years from today will most inevitably draw the curtains on the big story.

Simply put, dear Arsenal was passing through a phase. That phase is over. So, let’s compete.

As it goes Lee, I am losing a few pounds (not fiscal) as I gently simmer in my tin box…

    Which is a good thing… 🙂

  18. Marshall says:

Phewx Diaby departure has freed a big space in the mid, flamini next?
lol Arteta replacing AW? i think King (prince now) is being groomed for that. Maybe he be the assistant.

Bout Gervinho, tsk his hair stylist must be giving him such ideas. it’s surreal

  19. allezkev says:

Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium has been confirmed as the venue for the 2017 Champions League final by Uefa.

  20. Hell Raising Devil says:

    Good Afternoon Lovelies and hunkies.

Two great posts today. we are chuffed. And spoilt rotten. One by Rico (well done boss) and the 2nd one presented to us by Tai (well done fellow houser)

but as Rico told you Tai…..that qualifies as a post in itself. so something like that should receive the honours of a post next time mate.

Now we have 3 quality keepers.

Cech should be first choice. And rightly so. then we have Ospina, who did not let us down in the games he played. And Ches, who is a good keeper but mentally not in the right place as a keeper of a great club (but has the tag of a homegrown player).

Without going on the merits of who deserves to be 2nd behind Cech, imo Ospina should be kept and Ches loaned out for a whole season. Yes, Ospina might be 6 ft only however he has natural positioning and reflexes. The way he made that double save against Messi was not a fluke mates. Would Ches have done that?? Its open to debate. but some reflexes are not down to pure luck but skill, which comes after the perfection of technique.

  21. allezkev says:

Hey Mick, do you ever get the Irish Independent ‘newspaper’…

They’ve just broken the Jackson Martinez to Athletico Madrid story.

    That’s quite a stunner eh?

Only two weeks after everyone else.

You gotta admire their ability to dig up these revelationary exclusives…

  22. rico says:

    Thanks Devil..

Many rumours suggest Ospina is on his way so we’ll be left with one top keeper and two who can learn from the big guy…. and hopefully his coach if he follows him…

  23. rogerbij says:

Swearing in sport is often directed as abuse towards a referee. It really doesnt have to be like that, and personally I hate abuse of referees. That would never fly in cricket for example. But thats a softy sport some might say. What about a ‘hard’ sport?

Rugby. Refs are mic’ed and you would never hear more polite enquiries of referee decisions in most countries. Captains may enquire but there is none of this ‘F-you, BullSh*te’ stuff. Rugby has stamped it out. League too. And too be honest there is no reason why referees should suffer abuse in any game that they are neutrally reffing. It just makes things worse, and the intimidation can lead to more bad decisions that could go either way when they get rattled.

Yes, refs will always make mistakes, but that should be dealt with off the pitch after the game with a performance review by their associations and with PL officials. Its not for players to get in referees faces during a game, and frankly its a bad example that gets followed down the lower leagues.

Stamp it out with yellow cards.

    Happy sunny days to all!

  24. goonster says:

Diaby is gone huh??? Sad day for football. He ll be missed. What a player. He must have a thing for villa always having a stormer against them. Scored on many occasions against them. I ll miss him. Good luck abou. Stay fit and rip the ligue un a new one. Morning HH what’s new??

  25. rogerbij says:

Indeed great double post today! Rico AND Tai.
I love the Wenger sentiments in there. We are on the up, and le prof is driving us where I think we should go. 2 More top players this window and we are going to scare the hell out of Chelsea and City, while the others already fear us.

  26. Hell Raising Devil says:

Yeah Goonie. First in the nappy stakes.

I just wish Ospina stays. its a pity rumours state he is going. but then that is life. Ches will leave in two years time anyway. If not earlier. next summer maybe. he will not want to hang around sitting on the bench unless AW gives him game time.

Cech can give us 6 years if he takes care of himself.

with regards Vargas do not take heed of the Vargas at QPR. he was just getting game time and was not motivated. Make no mistake…Vargas is a big game player. he turns it on in the big games. I have been following Vargas for the last 4 years and believe me he is very skillful. plus he is close to Sanchez as a friend. And if you want proof just take a look at his national team stats….1 goal in every two games. 45 caps….22 goals.

He can play on both wings plus centrally.

I feel he will make it at AFC if he comes.

however, we have Alexis, Danny, Theo, OX already for the wings. If Vargas comes then either one of Theo or Danny plays as a CF, or else the OX drops down to midfield.

  27. frednerk says:

Not to sure if that Carvalho playing in an under age tornament
is what we need for the premier league…
To me he looks a cart-horse?……… on the small screen…That is.

Not sure if Henry’s goal against the spuds at Highbury
    was mentioned the other day..
When he run the length of the pitch..Still sticks in my mind.

  28. potter says:

Nigel Pearson had to go for the Thailand owners to save face. Every body in side and out of Thailand knows of their red light reputation but they tend not to mention it in public. As the manager he has been held responsible for the teams conduct and his son has compounded it. The board in England has been embarrassed by him and the owners in their country hold him responsible. There was only ever going to be one outcome.

  29. rico says:

Goonie, the medics will miss him… 😉

    Thanks Roger..

Ts, thank goodness you are only joking, I’d get you sectioned if you were saying that was true… 😉

  30. rico says:

That one sticks in my mind too Fred, and his one against the dippers in the 03/04 season…

His winning header against Utd was voted the best header on the official site…

  31. goonster says:

Oh please the best header goal to me was big sol’s against barca. That went in like a bullet 😀 Howdy rico.

  32. Dublingunner says:

Afternoon, great read, Rico and Tai. have to say im in the keep Ospina camp, Szczesny has had his chance imo,and has not developed as wenger would of liked, and has been stirring up a bit of trouble lately, reports this morning suggest Wenger misled szczesny over the Cech deal, and other reports saying Szczesny has been told it would be a waste of time him staying at Arsenal, i dont know if these reports mean anything but anyone who saw Ospina,s performances in the copa america would only have to be impressed by him. I think he should be given the chance to become Cechs no 2. seemly it,s polish legend tomaszewski, who is saying Wenger lied to szczesny about the Cech deal.

  33. potter says:

Well Tai a post such as yours deserves the odd comment.Firstly Danny Fisz man was the driving force for the new stadium no doubt Wenger was consulted along with the other board members of which he is not one. However this drive to name the stadium after him is just a tad sycophantic. As for Petr Cech I am pleased to see him join but I will reserve judgment as to his ability in comparison to Seaman when he has played a season for us.Hopefully his switch will be as good as the one when Jennings came from the seven sisters.

  34. allezkev says:

Hmm, sitting in a traffic jam close to Kings X
It must be about 100’F in this tin box.

Wish you was here Lee… 😉

  35. Hell Raising Devil says:

Ahhh so you are in a toaster Kev.

Or are you in an ultraviolet bed, mate???

    Maybe a moving sauna???

whatever it is you will soon get roasted. so make sure all windows are open. you need fresh air.

we are used to that here in the middle of the Med. for at least 6 months a year. the worst being mid July to mid September.

    how are you mate??

  36. Hell Raising Devil says:

Breaking news. Arsenal sign free international midfielder who was left in the international wilderness.

AW was beaming from ear to ear, and grinning like a Cheshire cat, when he announced that Arsenal have signed an international DM on a Bosman. AW confirmed that although the midfielder was on just recovering from a long term injury, the AFC manager said that with the miracle hands of Shad Forsyth there was no doubt that he would recover.

“We are confident that Vassiriki will soon recover and he is exactly a new signing for us.”

When he was pressed by the journous that Vassiriki had just been released by the club, AW said that Vassiriki was just released by the spuddies and infact he produced a photo of the days that Abou was seen wearing a Tottenham shirt.

  37. rico says:

Scott – do you get the humidity in Oz?

Just asking as one of the Aussie tennis players was wilting in the heat today… 😉

Thanks Dublin.. Just read that stuff about Ches from the other Polish guy, he’s clearly irked…

  38. scottfromoz says:

    Rico,
The last summer, we had by far the worst humidity in memory.
Remember, these Tennis players would be lucky to spend 2 months a year here.
    They’re soft 🙂 🙂

  39. Potter says:

Different countries different heat. England is a naturally wet country which is why most periods of heat over 25 degrees after week generally end with a thunder storm. On the Med it is hotter but drier and not so oppressive. I can’t say about Australia as I haven’t been but I wonder if the heat in Melbourne is the same as say Sydney or Cairns.

    SCOTT? ???

  40. scottfromoz says:

    Melbourne has a dry heat.
    Cairns is always humid.
Sydney varies between the two, but as we’ve had so much rain the last 12 months, it’s been the most humid period I can remember.
Of course, true humidity is Thailand in April…..I sweat plenty standing over putts and it wasn’t the pressure lol

  41. allezkev says:

Coach it’s 93’F on the streets and about 103 in my portable mangal…

    But I’m good mate…
How’s things in your neck of the Med?

  42. Wavy says:

Would that be the Mangals of Neighbours fame or was it Home and Away. They’re all the same to me! It is a hot one! Greenhouse is hotter than sauna! Even the tomatoes are complaining.

  43. Micko says:

Funnily enough rico, Judy Murray has the same effect on me everytime I see her ugly mug on the box ! Can’t help but throw a wobbly.

As for Gervinho, we all know he’s big headed but asking for a beach, I’d be curious to know the the circumference of his testicles, who does he think he is…..Nicklas Bendtner.

Kev, 2 weeks is quite impressive, we like to be sure to be sure before breaking any exclusives !

And just for the record it’s pishing with rain here !

  44. allezkev says:

    Wavy, it’s a Turkish barbecue mate…

    Lee and Adam luv ’em…

Lee always gets very vocal when he’s visiting a mangal…

  45. Hell Raising Devil says:

Do you have summer up there Kev? Or is it something resembling summer? 😉

The days here are terrible but evenings and night life is tops.

  46. Joe says:

I see we have been snubbed again this this time it’s Tom Cleverley these snubs are starting to hurt.

  47. Joe says:

How about this for a stat I read on bleacher report today with the sacking of Nigel Pearson Wenger has managed more football games in England than the rest of the current managers combined.
Now with all stats this could been changed if it included the poison dwarfs first spell in charge.

  48. allezkev says:

Coach, according to all the blurb on the radio, today has been the hottest July day on record…

    Frankly I miss the rain… 😉

    Mick has all the luck…

  49. allezkev says:

What does anything really mean Rico?

    Why are we here?

What is the meaning of life?

    Is there a God?

    Will Wenger sign a def/mid?

    Will Wath stop moaning?

Can Adam actually move off of his settee?

    It’s all too much…

  50. Joe says:

It probably means more for the rest of the current PL teams than than it means for Arsenal and in today’s culture the need for instant success if there’s a problem blame the manager.
It also shows that Arsenal football club knew that they had a very good manager and the where reasons for him not winning a thropy in 9 years even if some fans didn’t.
Imagine there were Arsenal fans who wanted the club to sack Arsene Wenger 🙂

  51. tsgh says:

Micko there was me thinking you were on your private island near Cape Verde. 😉

Pobga heading to Shitty…; Barca not happy

  52. allezkev says:

Adam, I am glad to hear that Mrs Adam is still enjoying her grub…

She has to keep up her intake of carbs for her daily weight training sessions…

    She’s a powerful woman..,

  53. rico says:

I think many manager sackings are ridiculous, I really do but then I don’t know the whole story behind the sacking….

But I do think that had AW been at one of the other top clubs and under a different owner, he’d have been sacked but my own vies is that he achieved all that has been asked of him during the move and beyond…..

Now he needs a big transfer window and a winning season Imo…

  54. Joe says:

Micko does live on a private island he has a problem with about 4m squatters that won’t move out and the court costs to move us on would break him. 🙂

  55. allezkev says:

Yes Rico, I’m afraid that the sun had made me feel a bit do lally… 😉

Adam, you should email Rocky… 🙂

  56. Joe says:

Rico if Wenger had been at another big club he wouldn’t have had money issues with a new stadium and if that club had been Manu no ref issues. 🙂
Also for what ever the issues he may not have wanted to stay at another club as long as he has at Arsenal who knows.
But at least the club knew the problems moving to a new stadium would cause or maybe they were willing willing to settle for 4th.

  57. Joe says:

Rico your a hard task master you want another winning season 😉
I was wondering if I offered you 3rd FA cup in a row something that has was only done twice in the 19th century when it was easier to achieve or a 14th PL title what would you take.
Then again we could win the double. 🙂

  58. Hell Raising Devil says:

I will take both Joe. I would love us to get the 13th off our back while tbh I would like us to win the FAcup not only for the 3rd time but I would really love to win it 5 seasons in a row. I know it might be impossible, or that i am asking a bit too far but I feel it can be done.

  59. rico says:

Not at all Joe, I just think that with the money we have, we should be signing the tight players to give us a chance of the PL.

Then it’s down to AW to execute the right tactics each game to ensure we do…

PL for me, but a double would be icing on the cake….

  60. Joe says:

Rico no I don’t sorry if I confused you but he has spent money and is buying world class signings and is winning trophies again.

  61. rico says:

Joe, I’m not knocking him now, but in the past… Lol

The summer we bought Ozil, why on earth didn’t he sign a DM?

  62. Joe says:

Wow Celtic are playing in the CL tonight and are winning 1-0 CL and it’s the first of July.

  63. rico says:

Stubborn Imo Joe, he thought who we had could do the job but until Coquelin returned, we’ve not had a player to fit that role….

Still, let’s hope he gets one during this transfer window….

  64. Joe says:

But at least the was DM in and around the club we just didn’t now it Wenger must have felt like I do when when I find tools in the shed I had forgotten I owed. 😉

  65. Micko says:

tsgh, Cape Verde, isn’t that where Steve Rowley spends all his time ?

Hottest day in London since records began, 37 degrees at Heathrow.

  66. Wavy says:

Time moves on apace in the World of Arsenal. We, mere mortals tend to be reactionary especially if we think we see a problem that we believe needs addressing, urgently! We, well a lot of us, a very lot of us thought that Arsene had lost the plot, no new DM! No idea how to defend, little idea of how to beat ‘minnows’ etc etc we were tearing off strip after strip off him, actually for years. The general discomfort continued until the team, I believe, told him how they wanted to play, plus, fortuitously the recall and introduction of a little Coq! Since that point the rebirth seems to be nearly complete. A couple more WC players and we are made, good to go
, St Arsene has regained his magic. His mojo is back! But where the f*** it went for so many years only he can tell us. Roll on the ‘autobiography’.
The next couple of months will be very interesting as we meddle in the dark arts off transfers and who we get or maybe who we don’t get!

  67. Joe says:

Rico who brought Coq to the club accident or not he was an Arsenal player accident is unfair on the manager.

  68. tsgh says:

    😀 Joe.

    night Rico

You are right Dev. A £100m bid was apparently placed this afternoon by city but Paul wants Barca even though Juve are keen to listen to Shitty

    Evening All…

Just got back from a very busy day.

    Thanks @all re my post.

I still can’t believe Mourinho and all Chelsea players/fans would ever let Cech sign for us. It’s not just about how good Cech is, it’s all about taking from Chelsea what they never wished to let go. Times change!

Erdinger is a very tasty beer, but they bloody run out in Belair House, so I had to have Amstel…. 🙁

  71. Potter says:

If you equate Coquelin with pregnancy . If Wenger is the father it was a nice surprise but never planned.

  72. Wavy says:

Thing is, Wenger was expecting a girl and he got a ……..Coq. Ok I’ll get me coat!

Speaking of which, I shall be watching the Ingerlandish girls. Go get ’em, nip in the bud……sorry not very PCI. But it amused me in a kind of Dave Whelan kind of way! No offence meant.
    Where’s that coat?

  73. Wavy says:

Ho hum, Ingerlandish have been undone!

Too many ex Arsenal players and not enough current ones. Sack the manager…he’s Welsh…says it all! ( sorry another in pc remark ) don’t take it too seriously!

  74. Lee says:

    Wenger lucked it with Coquelin…
“His winning header against Utd was voted the best header on the official site…” was it his only one?

    Good Morning Lovelies and Hunkies.

I was impressed by the England Ladies. Simply bad luck and a bad decision went against them……

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzqy_viVJss

The first penalty ……..the foul occured outside the box. Just the player falling in the box does not mean its a penalty.

Bassett was very unlucky as the chances are that even if she repeats that 1 million times the shot will go elsewhere other than over the line.

  76. Hell Raising Devil says:

Its cruel to go out in such a way.

Unlike the Englishmen who usually are overrated and overhyped bunch of narcissistic monkeys, the ladies gave a good account of themselves.

Its refreshing to see a team working hard for each other and feeling for each other. The were in the semifinal on merit and did not deserve to go out. Unfortunately someone has to loose.

Former Russia captain Andrei Arshavin may quit playing football after his contract with champions Zenit St Petersburg expired on Tuesday.

  78. Hell Raising Devil` says:

    we will soon fry.

Arshavin. Is he still playing??? tbh ….. has he ever played properly??
