Since Roman employed Jose to manage the Blues, Arsenal verses Chelsea has in recent years, become a contest epitomising the standard of our squad and our managers’ tactics.
With the success Jose has had against Arsene, multiple Chelsea managers have deployed the same tactics to defeat our seemingly ‘predictable’ manager in recent years.
However, talking to Arsenal fans before the game there was a sense of a new start with this current crop of players we have. Maybe the positive vibes were due to the holiday/festive season we are in.
Bearing in mind both teams were not in their best form leading up to the fixture, last night’s game was again billed as an Arsene v Mourinho contest but with Mike Dean in charge of the game, he was always going to have an influence on proceedings.
Arsene fielded a starting eleven that most fans could not argue about especially as Theo was brought in to provide the width most fans and pundits have been calling far since Theo’s absence. The substitution bench also looked positive compared to times during the earlier parts of the season with Poldolski back fit.
Theo’s noticeable contribution in the first half was a penalty claim rejected by Mike Dean that even Jamie Carragher could not dispute was a penalty.
Another major event in the first half was the horrible tackle on Arteta by Obi Mikel. Arteta in my view was very lucky to escape that tackle without being carried off on a stretcher with a broken leg. All those major events that SHOULD have influenced the game in our favour ,went unpunished by Mike Dean again.
I am not attempting to blame the referee for our poor showing but I also believe it is fair to say that this particular referee has a history with us. A history that indicates we win less than 1 in 17 games with him officiating.
Having said that both teams were very poor in the first 45 minutes and so we ended the first half without a single attempt on goal, Chelsea came close through a Lampard effort.
With the first half ending and several of our major stars failing to show up when needed on the big occasion again we had to ‘up’ our game if we were to win the game in the next forty five minutes..
The second half started with both teams giving the ball away in key areas as both had the proverbial hand brake on.
Up until Giroud’s first chance later on in the game, we had failed to register a shot on goal all evening. It may be argued that Giroud’s first chance would have been buried by a better striker but in my view that is hypothetical. His second chance was one of those that he had buried on several occasions since he joined us and even during his time in Ligue 1 but Cech and his defenders were determined not to concede against us so we needed more than just half chances.
I guess most fans would have gone away after the game thinking a better striker could have buried those two chances Giroud had during the game.
However, if it is considered that Chelsea’s front line or attackers who are made up of seemingly world class big name stars have failed to score away from home all, I think I am not wrong to say that we Arsenal fans are very harsh on Giroud. In my view, it does not take a genius to repeat that Giroud is not world class by most people’s standards. It is very obvious to see, but the issue is that better strikers are hard to find in this current era.
I am not going to bore readers with statistics of strikers conversion rates but if anyone is keen to search the web it can be found that Giroud is not very far off the very best in the business. In my view, it’s not that we don’t have strikers or that Arsene did not buy a striker in the summer but he seems to lack confidence in the strikers he has in his squad and has failed to address it.
During the summer it was well documented that Arsenal and Arsene was after several strikers but whoever we individually blame for not being efficient in our transfer dealings and policies it makes no difference to the fact that the team is where we are.
My biggest fear is that some fans may ‘damage’ the confidence of Giroud thereby damaging our chance of still having a successful season because Giroud is deemed not good enough to wear Arsenal jersey. With football fans bombarded with news of strikers apparently being ready to be sold if a certain fee is met, I can sense a very frustrating few weeks ahead.
In my view, we dropped 2 big points last night but with my pragmatic head on, I have to admit that even as a positive fan who believes we can win the league and has done since the summer, if someone had told me we would be sitting second come Christmas equal on points with the league leaders, I would have taken it in a heartbeat.
If there are any Santa believers out there then let’s hope a striker is on his way to us come the New Year.
I will end the post by saying that, football is still just football. No matter how we feel after a bad performance by a team we all adore and expect better from, we are still very lucky to be alive to see and wish our loved ones and colleagues a happy seasonal greeting.
Stay safe and enjoy your Christmas Eve wherever you are…..
Written by Ginge (Tsgh)
Happy Christmas all……
I just read that we have a 6% win rate with that prick dean in charge! Enough said……
Merry Xmas too to u Ginge. Nice post but we do need a clinical striker or bring back d Walcott Podolski factor
Morning all..
Thanks for the post Ts, I’m really grateful as just after the game, my electric went on/off for the rest of the night and the internet went with it. It’s not happy this morning either!! grr…
Giroud – I rate him highly but he’s not the right man to play as a lone striker imho. His hold up play and hard work can’t be faulted but he needs a top class goal scorer in front of him and not one player in our squad is that man.
We were very poor last night, however, had the right decisions been made by Dean we would have won. Down to 9, we would have battered Chelsea and even with 11 v 11, one penalty may have made the difference.
Like you, I don’t want to use Dean to mask our poor play but he really did ruin that for us last night.
However, I’d love to know what was going on in AW’s mind at half time because little changed after the break…
Something has to change in relation to our tactics.
Why on earth did he not stick TW through the middle with 20 mins to go and play on his pace. He would have skinned Terry and Cahill every time…
He was doing bugger all out on the right..
Morning all , Happy Christmas.
That’s the niceties out of the way , .Last night I was spitting feathers and this morning as I listen to the radio on my drive to work I hear Ray Wilkins and Alan Brazil praising Dean for the way he handled things. Well they would wouldn’t they , one is Ex Spurs / Man Utd and the other Chelsea / Man Utd.What Wenger needs to do is put all of these biased comments on the dressing room wall and give George graham a ring and ask him how to create a backs to the wall seige mentality. These players have taken us so far but seem to hiccup when they meet the big boys , the league is there for the taking , so no more Mr Nice guy, They have to be wound up and they need to battle for every point they can get. They need the proverbial rocket and they need their manager to be more positive and to adapt the playing style to take advantage of the conditions.
Go get Diego Costa…
Morning all,
Good post, the critics of certain player is probably harsh at times, but we also got to remember they are at work and not doing us any favor. With the salary they earn, incompetence should barely be an option.
I don’t know how anyone can think Dean did well last night, he was just awful and should be sacked!!
I second that Lee, a beast who can score for fun.
Just nipping off to walk the woofa, back shortly…
Get rid of this clueless manager, has he ever heard of the word ‘tactics’? Wenger Out
morning all !
we dropped two points… or we won two points?
Why we not shoot outside the area?
with the pitch in yesterday conditions, is much easier defend then attack in a programatic way. Moreover, played with the ball on the pitch, in a short progression, tic-tac, with unnormal accurrac,y…
how we did want to win? By a penalty? a free-kick?
Morning all,
Thanks for you helping my ‘dribble’ read better as always Rico. I always suspected you and John Cross were former colleagues. 😛 or is it the folks at metro/ or Caught offside?… lol
AW will be doing a great impression of Mr Bean if he just sits on his lil backside without making great attempt to find a striker this January imo.
Even a 36 y.o Natali will give the squad a certain amount of boost that may give us the 4 points somewhere that we may need to win this title…
J.M. I said that last night , the second half we were playing with the wind behind us and driving rain in Cech’s face yet we didn’t try anything from outside the area. We are too obsessed with unneccesary passes in midfield and our build up was too slow.
Potter, how Wilkins has become a ‘consultant’ on morality of football beggars believe… especially with his drink driving antics without showing any remorse…
Alan Brazil is a Scottish sperds lover who can only talk about his love for drink but hey… my dad tells me Alan was a very good striker in his day…
Great post Ginge.
Yes, we need a striker.
Giroud needs help.
In my humble opinion though, 2 up front would be an even more beneficial move than simply buying a one off striker.
Boo!! Good read, Ginge. I am happy I missed the match; it was a snoozefest from all accounts. I am happier that Mourinho is annoyed. From his interviews, he sounds even more petulant than usual. It can only mean he is more than mildly concerned about us.
Oh and of course, Happiest Christmas, everyone. Wherever you are, I hope it’s very merry and warm. 🙂
90 minutes til Xmas day….
In case i get caught up in the festivities tomorrow, i’d like to wish my HH family all the best for Xmas, and may the new year bring us happiness, as well as the odd trophy 🙂
Later guys.
Merry X’mas all.
Too “floating” to continue 😀
Hi Mrs OG12, Scott… howdy? Are you in 25th already?
Indeed Mauren-yo is concerned, the same way AW said in 2004 after we played the then Chelsea team that they would win the league that year…
I know we could and should have won but Mauren-yo is no fool to observe that for once his team could not bully us. Some may say Drogba and Essien were not involved but we can also say we had no TH14 or a 50M striker…
Talking about TH14 no disrespect to the legend but even him and DB10 could not help us to beat Mauren when we had a better team… so even though I concur with the views that we need a better striker than OG12, he is not solely responsible for dropping the points…
Have a good one Scott… where is Oz btw?
It’s 4.5 hours away from here, Scott. Merry Christmas to you, Mrs Scott and Sean the next big Arsenal Star. 😛
“Floating”, Merlin? 😉
Ginge, not to worry, Giroud will be firing again soon. 😉 I’ll have a word with him, and by that I do not mean un billet doux. 😀
I personally think AW should also get another player who can play DM/RB/CB who is good on the ball and is athletic or even try TV there for some games.
Morning Rico.
Tsgh,
Writing a post match report must be very difficult after a disappointing game that promised so much more, but you have nailed it and your report is pretty much how I saw it too.
I did not think it was a good performance by our lads, even allowing for the dreadful conditions.
But it takes two to tango and the Maureen tactics were very much of the park the bus and counter attack variety.
In addition the Chavs were very physical and I am sorry to say that our small midfield are very easily knocked out of their stride.
I just wish Wenger would set aside a little bit of the technical aspect and buy an aggressive, large, no nonsense clogger of our own,
The game was poor and neither side came out of it with much credit. All the other contenders must have been laughing their socks off.
Morning all,
Blinding post Sir Ginge, couldn’t have put it better myself in fact no where near. 🙂
My estimation of being the 4th best team in the premier still stands losing against Utd and City and Chelsea in the Capital One and struggling with a draw with them at home only confirms that we just cant get a decision against any of them. The Aston Villa result was a freak in my eyes but if they beat us again on the return i would say we look a top 5 team. Last nights performance at home was poor, many supporters would be happy with a draw but i expected a win, but deep down i probably felt that we wouldn’t turn up and that was how it turned out. Many supportrers seem to still think Walcott is a player that will change games, that may well be the case but not against the top teams, i see him as a passenger. Theo is not alone though, many players find it hard against the top teams that is why every time one of this type of game comes up our team is lack lustre. Not a shot at home all game bar a toe poke by a slow Giroud and thats at home is disgraceful, but most supporters would probably be happy as long as we didn’t lose thats a copp out for me. Playing the same players all game with no subs tells me that Wenger had no tactics only that to hang on by the skin of our teeth. Personally i thought we were piss poor, and i am ready for many to tell me i am rubbishing the team, but one effort, if you can call it that, is that a team who went out to win. Chelsea have problems any fool can see that but we send out scared boys while good players sit in the wings, how long will these players that we never see hang about while we send out players who cant even pass let alone win.l
Hello again…
I agree with the shooting, said the same on here last night..
Incredible we didn’t even try..
I don’t know how bad the conditions looked on TV but they were certainly a big factor last night.
I asked a few weeks ago whether we could win the big games and I see now that, at the moment, we can’t. I am heartily sick of the Giroud debate myself. Arsene has got lucky that we made it through to the transfer window with him intact as our striker and now he has to use the opportunities afforded to him by the window and the money available to move the team up a level or two. Mmmm…
The pitch at the Ems and the drainage is top class, because I watch the game in HD and I could hardly tell the conditions was bad, but from what I heard it was awful.
They looked pretty bad Adam, just like everywhere in the country..
I hope he signs at least a striker next month. He has little choice imho
Rico. I would like to believe you are right. Personally and based on previous experiences, I have my doubts.
Conditions was bad last night very bad but while our players were trying to keep their hair dry, many were fighting floods and trying to keep their homes dry, I would say that the attending supporters had it harder finding their way home as at least they put themselves out, The length of a football field is not very long for a proffesional footballer if he is trying, no shots on goal and more back passes than forward only tells me that our defence did ok, but it should be evident to everybody that we need a drastic change to our attacking play. We take forever to get forward and most of the time we end up passing back to our keeper. I would say that things have turned round, when once we had a good attacking team only to have major problems at the back, we now have a reasonable defence with a piss poor attack. Giroud has worked hard this season but he usually works alone his flicks go straight to the defenders, and when either Gibbs Or Sagna do go forward and cross we are lucky to have one player in the box . We need attacking players with idea’s we need tallented players dribblers players that actually want to go forward, I watched our so called attackers last night and the first thing they do is look backwards to pass, thats why we dont shoot they are all looking the other way. the only player who kicks forward is Czezesney.
The conditions looked awful Adam , but that’s when you have to use them to your advantage. We played against the elements in the first half and proceeded to continue playing as if it was a pre season pitch throughout the second instead of peppering Cech from all angles we just kept passing slowly in midfield.
Hi Potter. Yes, there were many over-hit passes that got caught on the wind and made players look careless. I could sense the desire in the team to do well and really can’t criticise the players though I see that others are having their usual pops. Chelsea came to kill the game and aided by the referee, succeeded. Cech was time wasting from the first 20 minutes. But there is something not right with our team at the moment. Whether it is confidence, tactics or whatever, I am not sure. But I do know that the decisions against us are so out of proportion lately that they are costing us dear. Perhaps the fix really is in. It is just about the only explanation that explains what I am seeing.
Just nice to read a well written, balanced article without all the partisan mud slinging. I think the draw was probably better for us than for you guys but then again, getting anything out of these top of the table clashes is a bonus, home or away. For what its worth, I think you’ve got a fantastic manager in Wenger and this season is I think when we will start to see his philosophy begin to reap its rewards. The stability at Arsenal is something we over in west london can only dream about – hopefully lessons have been learned and Abramovitch has finally realised that it takes time to build. Great article, have a happy Christmas and good luck for the rest of the season, except when you’re playing us, obviously 🙂 stef
Adam, my thought is the fans are on the edge again and I’m sure IG/SK are fully aware of that.
He can’t afford not to sign a striker…
Adam you know we have been up there to long, we are now talking run in time and you know as well as me what teams will start climbing, For Arsenal to keep their position will take hard work we have to play a sight better than we have of late to overcome the bad decisions from officials. We know the league is fixed you don’t need to be an expert to realise that but we have to score goals to outway the wrong decisions and untill we do that its top 4 or 5
Not so sure Rico. The fans in the stadium are certainly still behind the team but Wenger really needs to go into the market heavy to balance the Summer’s debacle. If he doesn’t, he risks losing some support and we will be back where we started, or rather, where we were at the end of last season.
As for the shocking decisions? It is proving a huge problem.
You have to conclude that after the totally non discussed refereeing fiasco at the Etihad the appointment of Dean to do last nights game was not a coincidence. It is quite disillusioning and even more frustrating that instead of discussing the merits of the decisions , the media is happily commenting on Mourinho’s pronouncement that we are a bunch of cry babies.
In my opinion it is possibly a good thing that we are not at the very top. As we are near though it puts pressure on IG and AW to do the right thing inJanuary to show ambition and possibly it will reduce the media pressure on us whilst they wait for us to falter. However the way the fixtures are panning out the teams around us have to drop points and should we do better in our next few matches we might find ourselves top again. However I believe we will drop points ourselves but not enough to drop out of the 4 th place trophy positions.
Boo!
We have so quickly reverted to “type” (tippy tappy football, lack of guile in midfield, toothlessness in front of goal), it is quite alarming.
And the refs do NOTHING for us. But that is nothing new.
We look to be in need of a shiny new player again. I honestly think we have a chance at trophies this season, and simply cannot wait until summer.
Potter. I agree that the Mourinho sycophancy from the press is sickening. As I said yesterday it is always all about him. Watching him slaughtering our players as cry-babies and lauding Lampard as some sort of God of manliness just now I swear I saw his arm moving under the desk fiddling with himself. As a smug, egotistical, psycho- Onanist he has no equals. I think Wenger has decided not to rise to his tedious mind games. Rightly so.
Afternoon To Rico and all the H/H posters .
Ginge the end of your post really rings my bell.
2013 has been my Annus Horribilis and I will be over the moon to see the back of it. I honestly believe that 2014 is going to be good year for all gooners and we are in for some very good results.
Adam I think your 1244 is spot on but what cocerns me we have noway of proving it.
I would like to thank the House for the support you have recently shown me , you will never know how much it means to me.
I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a great 2014
Adam. I guess what I mean is, if he doesn’t do something in Jan, the fans who are currently behind him may change their mind..
Blowing a chance like we have right now would be foolish.
Afternoon Rick. Merry Christmas to you too and I hope 2014 is a happy and healthy one for you and your family…
Rick. Thank you and the same to you and yours. I hope the new year brings health and happiness for all on HH.
Rico. I am solidly with you on that. :). As usual.
Agag-I had to google to remind myself what ‘un billet doux’ was? 🙂
Hiya Rick, indeed 2013 has been one of those years that I am pleased to have made it through…
I have had my share of downs both with work and my personal life but I am grateful to my creator that I am strong enough to persevere.
Still life goes on, and as I have mentioned before we have a bunch of habitual bottlers and so our only hope of silver wear is the league imo…
Hi HB,Sp1…
silver ware even*
Good Afternoon Rico and All
T’s. A job well done.
I’m a bit offended with with your comment. 🙂
” I think I am not wrong to say that we Arsenal fans are very harsh on Giroud. In my view, it does not take a genius to repeat that Giroud is not world class by most people’s standards.”
We all love OG12 and we want him to do better. Whenever he gets the job done we sing his praise. But so many chances go begging even with a poorer sides that he could have put in the back of the net. Yes, he’s improved in holding the ball and wait for reenforcement or cause a whistle in our favor, but the other ingredients in a striker are missing, imo.
If we want to be honest with our selves, how many times when we’re in need of goals, do we have full confidence that OG12 will fine the back of the net before the final whistle?
How many times when RVP was with us and we’re in need of goal(s) you have a doubt that he will score?
The confidence was until the final whistle.
The confidence was there until the final whistle.
Wellington Silva is just about to get his EU passport according to sky..
He could be that bit of magic we need to unlock defences with his Hleb/Neymaar like close control… the down side is he is shorter than I am. 😛
I am surprised how Ozil is morphing into our midfielder by wanting the ball deep in our half instead of what he used to do i.e provide penetration and punch… maybe I am being harsh. 😉
Hello, rico! Howdy? Busy with the last of your Christmas preps? Roasting chickens, maybe? 😛
Hiya, Adam. What are you having for Christmas dinner?
Ginge, “silver wear”? You trying to rival Adams red trousers?
Hi Agag. I was thinking Balut and French fries! 🙂
Hi, Nash, easy on Giroud. 😉
Afternoon Ng, good comment on Giroud…
Hello agag, I’m good thanks, you? My chickens will be quite safe thank you 😉 Just one more visit to friends in a short while and then that’s it…
Goodness me Ts, after how long??
Wonder if AW will keep him at the club or send him off on loan again like he did Campbell…
Sanogo was worth his money wasn’t he…. 😉
Haha, Adam. But it’s Christmas, something a little more special is required. Might I suggest uok (beetle larvae) or deep fried kamaru (mole crickets) or raw tamilok (woodworms)? 😀
Sorry for the delay Stef.
AW should know that buying cheap too often has cost us. I hope the club goes for another top, top quality purchase, otherwise, we’d be hovering around third or fourth place for the nth time in x years.
rico, those get-togethers do get exhausting don’t they? I’ve been on a few… Traffic here around the holidays is beyond dreadful.
Rick, keep healthy! 🙂
stef, have you seen yourself in a red shirt? Looks good on most people, especially with an Arsenal crest. 😀 😀 Try one on for size.
I just love the way TV5 played yesterday. Less mistakes and speeding forward to open up Chelsea M-field. Throughout the game, not once, did I see J. Terry or Cahill step out of their comfort zone. We allowed O. Mikel too much time on the ball in their half to pick out his passes. And if that was MA08 on OM he could have got at lease a yellow card.
😀 Ng… no pun was intended there at all buddy.
With OG12, we know what we get. When we bought OG12, I mentioned on here that he was a striker who will score 3 or 4 goals on the trot but will go 6 or 7 games without scoring and it seems he has not changed or improved on that trend yet.
Unfortunately he misses chances maybe more than most top strikers but I believe he offers to the team more than what say Aguero may offer to $hitty because AW has a squad of too many passengers…
For instance, most fans love SC19 but will Mauren-yo ever play or buy such a player?
At the moment Costa is on everyone’s lips but I remember when the dippers placed a bid not a lot of people we should be looking at him as most thought a player who had been on loan with Rayo Vallecano and 3 other clubs since 2008 was not good enough compared to Hig or Suarez who the media were linking us to.
He also had a far worse disciplinary record than Suarez at that time…
My point is Diego Costa’s current record a flash in the pan? Moreover, Ath Madrid say they have transitioned from the phase where they sold a star every single season…
Ozil is playing a lot deeper and that’s because our midfield is very static and he only has Giroud in front to aim at. We seem to have drifted into the keep it tight and don’t lose possesion mode which basically means we all drop back and play the easy ball. As no one is running off him he can’t go forward enough , he must be missing Ronaldo.
🙂 Rico, its just been 3 years but it feels like for ever to all of us.
His peers Neymar and Coutinho are just blossoming so he still has a chance at his age seeing as he was better than they both…
You have a valid point Potter…
Is the Bould influence getting too much?
Adam’s buddy Graham Hunter has told Sky Sports that Arsenal have been scouting Atletico pair Koke and Diego Costa.
I guess he was short of money for xmas presents so he had to ‘whore’ himself for a fee…
Agag- ‘Ginge, “silver wear”? I prefer Jamaican style string vest pants. 😀
It’s a lot quieter here now agag, but yes, all the visiting does me in 😉
Mike Dean against Arsenal
https://twitter.com/Aaronsenal/status/415416226509492224/photo/1
Back in an hour, before if I get my way 😉
Swansea confirm Michu is out until February. The club have won just 7 of 28 league games since winning the League Cup.
2nd season syndrome for Laudrup.
lata Rico
You ought to get your way, then rico. 🙂 Haha.
Now, that is scary, ginge. 😯
Wenger on Mike Dean: “We are used to it. It’s that simple.”
Agag. Woodworms? Delicious. And so good with Christmas Turkey too. 🙂
TS. Graham Hunter? I love the way he crams his 48 inch waist into those 38 in blue jeans.
Graham Hunter……surname only needs changing a little bit!!
Lee. One could say a man separated from reality by one letter. Rather like our friend Jason.
😀 😀
Merry chirstmas and happy new year to everyone on highbury house. Also peace on earth I will make exceptions to mr mike dean the the ref who acts like a cheat when reffing Arsenal games and other refs of his like.
Just a point in the last two games the refs in both games did not send a player who should have been and not give Arsenal stone wall penalties. Refs are costing us a lot points and I am starting feel there is more to this than meets the eye.
Afternoon all…
🙂 Gjoe – Merry Christmas to you too..
In fact Merry Christmas to all, although it’s not officially Christmas yet 😉
Very good post Ginge, can’t have been easy!
Merry Xmas to everyone, Andrew
Excellent point by fan… time for fans to push on the team.
Hiya Rico and Gj
Hi Ts…
I truly hope 2014 see’s Chelsea go on an awful run and Jose gets the sack, some of his comments are out of the gutter!
Gosh Rico, you are posh!
High tea in the afternoon! Most Colonial!
Happy Christmas to everyone and a merry, prosperous and successful New Year to all the readers and contributors.
Highbury House an essential read everyday.
Thanks Rico for holding it all together day after day. What would we do without you? Doesn’t bare thinking about.
* bear?
Always have a cuppa around 3pm Wavy 🙂
Thank you, but you’d survive I’m sure…. lol
Just watching PL100 club – Thierry Henry…
Breaks my heart to see where we are now up front….
Who is the referee for West Ham game?
Not sure JM. Can’t be anyone as bad as Dean though that’s for sure….
Just checked, it’s Phil Dowd 😮
funny man… Balague: “Arsenal will try to buy Diego Costa in January. But there is absolutely no chance…no chance whatsoever”
Not what I’d call him Ts…
clueless maybe…?
I would hope that we are not trying to tie up deals , they should be sorted with only the dots and crosses to be done and the signature of course.
You are too polite 😉
As would I Potter, it’s not like the club didn’t know the transfer window is soon to open…
Nipping off to eat…
Just observed how Graham Hunter is bursting out of his cardigan…
He thinks he is cool wearing his driving shoes without socks on tv.lol
I think I worked out where Mg gets his transfer rumours from ,Balague: “There is no release clause in Suarez’s contract. Real Madrid will try to negotiate with Liverpool in the summer.
😛 😛
All part of the premier league circus , and you can’t have a circus without clowns.
🙂 potter, Hunter and that other Spanish know it all are certainly two…
Evening Rico and anyone else around.
Evening Adam..
Ah, you are there. 🙂
I’m never far away Adam 😉
I find that a comforting thought Rico. 🙂
🙂 Adam…
What are you up to this fine evening?
Nothing, I am happy to say. Just going to watch a movie with a glass of claret. What about you?
Pretty similar, just having a glass of red and turned on midsummer nights murder… Hence I am still on here 😉
Not sure the glass of red was such a good idea though, I’ll be asleep soon 😉
Well, I really dropped in to wish you and anyone else still here a very happy Christmas, especially you Rico.
Thank you Adam, and I wish you and Mrs Adam a very Merry Christmas too…
Enjoy your evening….
I’m heading off for the day now, just a few hours until Santa comes a calling so I need to put the fire out and clean the chimney…
Night all…
There will be a post as usual in the morning, no day off for me 😉
Thanks for your Christmas wishes let’s hope Santa brings us some none bent refs for the rest of the season.
New post up…
