Morning all,
Kick off with the gossip..
According to the ever unreliable Daily Mail, we are set to test Borussia Dortmund’s resolve by making a bid for their 27 year old Polish right-back, Lukasz Piszczek. By all accounts, he’s pretty good, in fact he’s one of the ‘most impressive right-backs in the Bundesliga and is a mainstay in the Polish national team’, according to the same paper.
In others news, it’s suggested that Wenger is also interested in Wayne Rooney. I won’t even bother with that one. He’d never settled in London, in fact I doubt he’d settle anywhere……
Onto today’s post…
Can we put aside our love and passion for Arsenal for a few moments?
If you could have written a recipe for potential disasters that could befall the Premier League then I doubt you would have come up with Abramovich and Mansour buying Chelsea and Man City and then pumping billions of £’s into those clubs would you?
Yet in artificially stimulating them by paying the most insane and ludicrous sums in both transfer fees and wages, I believe that the knock-on effect has been just that – disastrous. For Arsenal certainly, but for clubs and supporters the length and breadth of the country too, for whom it has meant rising costs, diminishing possibilities and the decline of footballing quality that we see today.
This is perhaps epitomised by this Manchester United team walking away with the title while multi millionaires from rival clubs concentrated on adorning their bodies with tattoos and teasing reluctant follicles into hairstyles that originated among the Huron tribes of the Americas a couple of centuries ago.
If you saw Man City’s sickening capitulation against the Seven Sisters Simians then you might have wondered just what would it take for £1 million-a-month players like YaYa Toure and co to actually put a bit of effort in. Asking too much perhaps? Or the statue-like Mancini, constantly sweeping his floppy fringe out of his eyes, sitting with his blue and white scarf around his neck. Would it have been a £1 million bonus offer from Mansour at half time that would have got him to stand up and actually encourage his players to at least look as if they gave a damn or was he too idly dreaming of how he might look with two huge diamond stud earrings, tattooed genitals and a Mohican?
Even the historically vicious, spiteful and demented Ferguson (now thankfully retired) watched a Man Utd team, reach a level of ordinariness that many of us suspected was well within their grasp, against the manufactured madhouse that is modern Chelsea. This is the team who have had a hundred managers in the past few years since a maniacal egotist, whose return they crave, left them.
They have spent enough money on players to build several hospitals and it seems horribly probable, (barring a last minute move by Man Utd), now that the psycho is on his way back that he will demand the same be spent again. Not to ensure Chelsea’s success, but to underline his own brilliance and to grind other teams into the dust under the weight of his mountainous ego, a beast that must be fed increasingly regularly with either the fawning adulation of a puerile English press or the injection of more and more money from Abramovich’s bottomless pockets to confirm the fact that in England, Jose is loved.
Yet, even after much money has been spent on body adornment and Ferraris, what do we, the paying public, see?
The instantly forgettable memory of the worst football season in recent memory. How many quality games have you seen our own team play recently? Having trouble there? Ok, forget Arsenal, how many great games have you seen in this PL season? In double figures yet? Do not include games that a simpering Jamie Redknapp has said were sensational or Martin Tyler has drooled over. They don’t count. Look at the quality of the two CL semis and despite the fact that the Spanish teams were out scored, out thought and out fought, wasn’t the German football at a completely different level to the absolute negative crap that we see week in, week out at the Emirates and on the TV in this country?
What has gone wrong is perhaps a symptom of too much money coupled with not enough ambition and a complete lack of anything that could be regarded as adventure or footballing evolution. In short, abject negativity.
Not losing has become the new winning.
Even our own manager, who came here originally as a whirlwind of change and footballing power has become stale and rather boring. He sells our best players, buys very average ones and employs the same old formulaic shape and tactics every week. We are as predictable as Harry Redknapp’s weekly washing of hands over any responsibility for anything at all.
If a Southern Counties team came to the Emirates I would imagine that Wenger would still play one up top and refuse to make any substitutions before the 76th minute. It is tedious and boring and yet, because of the crucifying financial dimension that runs like a rod of cold steel through our club, we are forced to look upon it as a product. “It’s Stan’s little sports franchise over in the Ukayeee. He doesn’t go there much and he wants Josh to take over” bleats some appalling American Sports franchiser.
Actually it probably is precisely that but, being emotionally-torn Arsenal supporters, we are all living in some halcyon past, dreaming that the good times are just round the corner. “This will be the year that it all changes” I am told. “We have £70 million to spend”. Really? That could buy us, at current market rates, the two strikers we need as badly as the egocentric nut job across town needs telling that he is “special”. The only special thing about him is that the mental health authorities haven’t removed him from polite society to a quiet room somewhere where he can sit talking about himself in front of one hundred dummy microphones to a room of imaginary inebriated hacks, kneeling in prayer before him mouthing “You are so special. We love you, all 5 feet 2 inches of you, but fear we are not worthy to be in your great presence”
So, what is actually going to happen to our sports business?
It is truly a horrible thing to contemplate in any depth because the mind enters a spiral of FFP unreality that leads us past the door of the ashen-faced Arsene Wenger. If we look in we are still not sure about him. He sells the best players in the land to our rivals then announces that he knew it would give them the title and at the same time ensure our continued lack of success, buys Gervinho, Giroud etc.. Mmm, no, not really sure. But we must, as the usual idiots say, be careful what we wish for. We so desperately want to believe but as we see the thousandth square pass, our most dangerous player being substituted, or the refusal to actually shoot from ten yards, should we not wonder what we wish for?
I wish for some success and excitement on the pitch myself. What about you?
Then we pass the door of Ivan Gazidis, a man with a fixed rictus grin who, having opened the pathway to the 4th dimension, now lives in the future where Financial Fair Play has restored the Corinthian spirit to the game and where our fiscal prudence has reaped enormous benefits. Rather like the benefits he reaps every year as his failure is rewarded in the shape of a massive bonus and success is just a distant memory. Then standing at the head of it all is the comedic, moustachioed, almost mythical figure of Stan himself.
What has Kroenke got to do with Arsenal? It is surely a fair question isn’t it? Just what is he doing here? Is he a supporter who loves the way we used to play and wants to bring those days back or perhaps a trusty, principled custodian of the values that Arsenal hold so dear? Or is he just an American businessman who looks upon the club as a profit-making asset and us as a revenue stream of paying customers? Yes, on balance, I think the latter is nearer the mark don’t you?
Is it in his interest to inject a hundred million quid into the club in an effort to make it successful and will he reap higher profits if he does? I imagine that this is broadly the equation in his mind. Or does he sell out to Mr Usmanov, a far more successful businessman than he is and a man who, on the face of it, seems as if he wants the same things we do? Ambition from the top would be nice wouldn’t it?
What happens next – I haven’t a clue. Experience suggests that very little will change but, with only £70 million in the back pocket, cynicism is hard to overcome.
One thing is for sure. It’s going to be a bumpy ride alright and there will certainly be a few casualties along the way.

Morning all,
Another cracker Adam…..
I thought you wanted ‘The Special One’ at Arsenal? 😉
If i didn’t know better i would of thought Adam was being cynical…..!
Oh and morning…!
“Or is he just an American businessman who looks upon the club as a profit-making asset and us as a revenue stream of paying customers?” In a nutshell mate!! Cracking read as per…..
Poor old Jenkinson. Another chump to take his place.
Well put Adam , A fair reprise of the conversations that can be heard in the Holloway /Blackstock road pubs and around the lower tiers of our souless bowl. I dont often read ANR but the comparison between The Arsenal and Stans American franchises speaks volumes.
I decided years ago until it’s on Arsenal .com I don’t believe any thing I read in the papers about any player this helps to keep me sane well mostly.
When put like that adam,
it’s all so clear mate.
Morning Wath, Adam cynical…… Surely…
This cynicism vibe is getting stronger…. 😆
Morning Rico, Adam isn’t at all cynical just a realist…!
Seeing is believing that’s for sure so when and if we go and buy quality players it will be a huge shock, relief and surprise to see us buy what we need. Until it happens it’s all wishful thinking and gossip so we’ll wait and see.
‘Surely not’ – I meant 😉
You know me Wath, don’t believe a word that comes out from the club and until things change, I expect them to stay the same…
I thought Dein, syrup hunted him, brought him in, the board’s intention was solely to milk him dry! Hence the,”we don’t want his sort here,” comment. Then the big fat uzbec turned up and , they really didn’t want HIS sort here at all! So Stan and his syrup got the gig. The board meanwhile creamed the profits. The fact that they were totally emasculated, including Lady Nina, mattered not a jot to them. And now we find ourselves in the mess old supermarket stan has put us in.
We are what we are, a cash cow for the American rancher and the butt of many joke about the 4th place trophy hunters. Where will it all end?
Good article. Provocative
Morning all.
I think it was Dein Wavy…
Morning all,
A well written cynical and provocative post.
I can’t disagree with anything you have written Wavy… I think people either choose to forget or are biased!
I prefer to look at thing logical…. so that suggestion that stan is only in for money and that AU wants what fans want is laughable to say the least…
My point is that if AU is a true fan and he has the money to spend… why is he not making Stan an offer he can’t refuse? I was told continually done the River that that every man has a price… 😉
…. so if he went to Stan and said to him ‘I want to give you £1Bn for your share in the club’… based on the view that Stan is only in for the money… won’t he sell up?
—————————————————————-
I always ask myself if AW was English or British for that matter would he receive the same bull dung he receives from certain fans and the media daily?
Moyes is considered an astute football manager because it is purported that he had less to spent but the same folks slate Aw for spending roughly 3 times less than what Moyes, whilst Aston villa and o’neil spent nearly 9 times what Aw spent…
What other manager has been able to successfully manage resources post a stadium move in recent times? And please don’t mention FC Munchen…
Those who choose to blame Aw for our allegedly demise… well I have never heard any logical or reasonable suggestion from them going forward than for Aw to spend what they think he has in a bank at his disposal…
….some even suggest Aw never sells when purchases are failures but forget selling deadwood requires 3 parties as a matter of fact…. and who wants to leave London as AA23 and his wife have recently proven!
Maybe because I am not a 5th or 10th generation Arsenal supporter I do not understand the traditionist ‘pain’ and so I am grateful for the fact that our club is not in a situation similar to Inter or Rangers at the moment… but is coasting ready to be propelled forward…
Every fun disagreeing with AW claim to be the best business man or football manager and do not understand why AW can be so unambitious… but in actual fact, if we compare the prize money won by United and commercial revenue gained by winning the league this season; would United have gained or lost…?
thing logical- things logically… even 😉
Players and their agents will always use rumours of possible moves to increase interest. Thus clubs wanting to buy a player might be prepared to offer more if they think a big club is after him.
When they do sign the players will usually say “It’s always been my dream to play for ….”*. In reality they will go where the money is.
*Copyright of Robbie Kean
So if it was about spending money by club owners and no input from a manager then the likes of Denis O’Brien (celtic),The Liebherr Family(saints) and joe lewis (scums) will be bigger than us…
Or if AU was to take over will he not be playing 2nd best to Monsour and their fortune?
Then again the likes of Francois Henri Pinault (Stade Rennes) who is worth $12bn put jack all into his club…
Ortega of Deportivo is worth 2 times what AU is worth but does he spend the money in spain?
What happened to malaga and the Qatari shieks?
My point is where does this crazy monoploy FIfa 2013 stop… is it not ironical that the ‘working class’ sport has been really corrupted whilst the game (rugby)enjoyed by the alleged ‘educated’ have reasonable and practical control over their game.
i love football, so i would love the game to be played in the next 30 to 40 years and not turned into a game similar to a night out in Las Vegas…
Lakshmi Mittal of QPR is reported to be worth $21bn by forbes… so why is tony Fernandez taking out a loan for £17M to finance a stadium move..?
I still say Jose for Yanited and Aaron to bag a hat trick!
Ok, i am none for one, and have stuff all chance of improving, so no more predictions from me til the next one, and that is a promise.
Great post Adam…Stan is misunderstood i reckon.
Well, he must have been when we invitied him into the club, because surely nobody attatched to Arsenal would want him involved if they understood his intentions!!
Morning all.
What is happening with Roman Abramovich the man who started the new surge of chucking money away. Is he being left behind by the new billionaires, or becoming smarter and realising that football philanthropy is akin to climbing out of a bottomless pit .
You are on a roll Ginge 🙂
Aaron bagged a quad-trick in training… 🙂
Hi scott
Ginge, Roman is behind FFP….
Gotta call my bookie then lol
Ironical isn’t it Scott?…
Wavy. Perhaps they don’t want Usmanov here as he would end the status quo for them.
TS. Logic is just a word and it has become devalued as a substitute for opinion. What you offer is an opinion, different to mine admittedly, but still an option. Not logic. Speculation can be confused with logic too. We see this and that happening with our eyes and we speculate as to why. Facts are not logic, nor are they speculation but, until we can get some agreement upon those facts, they must be viewed with suspicion as such and are best filed under the heading of opinion.
What happens at other clubs and with other billionaires or managers, is precisely that. It has no bearing on what has, is or will happen at ours. My article was a bit of fun overburdened with opinion. Much of it was tongue in cheek. I hate to see our club struggling along as it has done and think we need change. What that should or could be is only my opinion. You suggest that my opinion is “laughable” and I tend to agree. To the truly cynical, other people’s opinions generally are.
I know a man who never paid child support and his 2 grown kids do not even speak to him but guess what… he has a wife half his age and he holds 3 season tickets at the Bridge… stupid i would say…
Grown folks acting like 3 years old’s in a playground asking their parents why they can’t have a new expensive toy when their friend…
I worship no football player… in fact i wish they would cut my sky subscription and show other programs that build the soul and not corrupt 12 y.o girls…
my post was not in response to your article at all Adam. infact I really enjoyed the ‘special one’ bit. i was just adding to Wavy’s view point.
TS. No problemo mate.
”What happens at other clubs and with other billionaires or managers, is precisely that. It has no bearing on what has, is or will happen at ours.” I would disagree with that… society as a whole is inter-woven… In football we do not have to look far enough to see that the likes of Roman and Monsour have affect us and every other club in Europe…
If every club had a billionaire will it not be the same as every club being managed through their own resources? would all billionaires have to be worth the same net value to make it a level playing field?
Then again as you said it is just my opinion. 😉 But if every man or country on the planet have the same GDP as Norway or every man was a millionaire, we may not have BNP because no immigrate will be in the developed world and we would have billionaires and blue bloods cleaning our streets… 😉 just a thought.
how can a human being doing a hobby be paid £1m a month?
It certainly gave me a chuckle Adam!!
Stan, Stan, Stan.
Fukkkovski please Stan….
Hello again all, sorry, my doorbell rang..
Rico, i need my Welsh mate to get me out of a hole 🙂
Adam, you are right to tryand differentiate between fact and opinion. The problem really revolves around one single fact…….the club offers us, the fans, no facts at all and that is the reason why this blog, like all the rest devoted to arsenal football club are full of opinionated contributors.
As somone said earlier, when an event is posted on the official website then it becomes a ‘fact’ and not before, all the rest is speculation and or opinion. E.g. What is said in the Board Room and what is subsequently published on the website probably have no reflection as to what really occured! That place, BR, is as secret as to its goings on as a19th century meeting of a tong in Hong Kong, or the Masons in the 70’s.
How we all wish for transparency and openness, but if we got it, what would we do? we would spend all day, every day interpreting what we know for a fact and giving it our ‘spin’. Otherwise known as our opinion! And so it would go on and on and on ad infinitum!
Fun though isn’t it?
Excellent post, Adam.
You’ll be waiting a long time Scott 😉
I know Rico, i know 🙂
Still,i’d be waiting longer if i tipped Theo to make a tackle 🙂
TS. Yes, society is interwoven but because some Shiekh or other has run out of money or Abramovich isn’t prepared to continually blind-finance Chelsea that does not mean that Usmanov won’t be a better owner than Kroenke.
We all want to make sense of what is happening at Arsenal. I see a club that has had no success for years now (a fact?) and a manager who has failed to address continuing shortcomings and has become stale (an opinion?). You are, of course, free to see things quite differently.
Thank you Scott and Martin.
Bacary to land a cross.
Diaby to complete a game.
Arsene to make a first half substitution.
Merts to perform a quick turn 🙂
Arteta to have a hair out of place.
Any more?? 🙂
Webb to give us a penalty?
Stewart Robson to give us the time of day.
Bloody hell! This fact and or opinion thing looks like we are trying to do a GCSE English paper, question 2!
But is hell bloody, is it a fact or an opinion? Or worse, is it a belief? Where do we go from here? Is the world round? Is Scott really standing on his head whilst we are standing on our feet?
Who knows the TRUTH?
Oi Oi Scott, he did a few weeks ago, the booking scarred him for life 😉
Wavy, the only FACT said today is Aaron WILL get a hat trick 🙂
12.32 Scott – no chance, that idea went when we saw Santos remain on the pitch at Old Trafford…
Aaaagggghhhh, so even that happens more than Theo making a tackle then 🙂 🙂 🙂
Rico, he only stayed on cause he was doing business lol
Ramsey has more chance of learning one than scoring one 😉
I am liking this.
It is funny how Chelsea are asking for Jose Morinho to come back, they have forgotten that one of the reasons he was sacked was the fact that he plays so negatively that it made Chelsea unpopular.
Trust me, the only thing that Abramovic wants (aside the champions league cup) is to have a team that is loved and attractive like Real Madrid and Arsenal 🙂
Rumour has it that he wanted to buy Arsenal first , what would have happened? Probably sacked Wenger the second season.
He’d have sacked Wenger second round 🙂
With the old badger 😉
Haha!!
We’d be on Paul Ince by now. He would have replaced Tony Adams ! Who would have been the 10th manager since the sacking of Wenger
Thank the lord Abramovtch’s helicopter passed via Watford and not Islington.
And many others since SD…
Roman would have his people speaking to my people by now 🙂
Lewandowski joining Bayern…..
We better get the Reg Varney deal sorted asap! 😉
Paul Ince would be good Wavy 😉
Incey Wincey spider…
One less to worry about then Lee…
Remy next… 😉
Bayern in CL final winning loads domestically and yet they still strengthen their squad! That’s called AMBITION!
Adam would be the one to turn the tap on and wash him away….
Oh for us to show such ambition…..
Off out with Fido, back in a bit…
2-3 good signings with none of our better players sold will be a step in the right direction.
Scott. I will raise you to 3-4 proper players. 🙂
Adam, you are either being greedy or dreaming, or both 🙂
I think we need 4 top players to get back on track…..
Imagine our starting line up of this season including the bastard that went to UTD though?
We bought very, very well, but the cost outweighed the benefits, or at least balanced them up.
A few top quality guys to atrengthen our squad, and we look good.
Once again, Who we sell is probably more important then who we buy.
Gervinho gotta go…
Scott. I am a dreamer. I admit it. 🙂
But then so is Lee. Kev is a realist and Rocky is a pragmatist.
😀 Scott standing upside down watching Aarons swim wear calendar…. timeless.
AW thinking long ball is the way forward… mastercard
I feel abused….
and hurt too…
Now I know how a ginger step-child feels…
5 signings if we add an ambitious manager to the list…
IG is reported to be holding talks with Virgin Space Boss Sir Richard Charles Branson to organise the first ever pre-season match on Mars. The sticking point is NASA think the atmosphere will only support football matches but not soccer matches…
And they say the Emirates has no atmosphere…
The maurenho effect…
Lee. Counselling is at hand, never fear.
Can I book an appointment? Tuesday 14th May anything available?
Rooney might leave Manure Utd.
This shows he was never a fan of Manure.
I can’t see him staying without Fergie.
David Moyes is not gonna last, with Fergie upstairs dictating terms and players like RIO already refferring to him as that guy.
Manure Utd went for a yes guy, because Fergie will still be managing the team without going to the training ground.
From angry of Islington…
But that’s not my point today. My point is this: What has Alisher Usmanov promised to spend? And actually the answer is, as far as I can make out, bugger all. I wouldn’t necessarily believe him anyway, but the fact is he talks a lot without making concrete promises. I posed this question on Twitter the other day and was sent a link to his open letter from last year as ‘evidence’ of his promises.
The closest thing to a promise of spending in the whole letter is this:
“So what is Red & White’s vision for the club? It is simple. A debt free club with a big enough war chest to buy top talent players who can hit the ground running and who can complement the club’s long tradition of developing young players and homegrown talent.”
… Well what a coincidence! This is exactly my vision too. In the words of Keggy Keegle, I would love it – love it! But I’m not promising to pay for it, and if you read it carefully neither is Mr Usmanov. It’s just his vision. That’s all it is.
Pure class… well written!
Afternoon all…
I’d say 4 top players as it stands but if we sell Tv, Sagna and Gervinho, then they have to be replaced in addition to that 4 imho….
SD… do you recall that Moyes and wooney fell out over his autobiography? There is no way Wooney would stay… individual egos proving to be bigger than a 100 y.o club… 😉
Rico… but Gerv, Sagna and Tv are useless and liabilities;they do not need replacing? 😉
Isn’t there a slight contradiction in that piece?
AU does suggest from his statement that he will sign top players who will hit the ground running…
Make a change than just having players who… hit the ground when tackled 😉
That’s the exact reason they need replacing Ts…
Your 3.18 Ts, you confuse me, I thought you wanted Wenger to stay, clearly now you don’t…
Normally people don’t replace useless stuff unless it was useful and passed it use… anyway, I guess i am phishing folks off for not toeing the line. 😉
Another like-minded person making a similar comment on a different blog.
Ziontrain on May 10, 2013 at 3:40 pm said:
If Usmanov was willing to spend at all costs on Arsenal, he would have simply made Kroenke an offer in excess of the high range value of the club. Which Kroenke would accept – as he is in this to make money and everyone knows that.
The lack of any such takeover bid from Usmanov, who could easily do this by going over the 30% threshold, or simply making Kroenke an offer…..underlines that Usmanov too is in it for the money. He is not willing to to own the club at an ego (aka zero profit) price. Ergo – he isn’t doing this for his ego!!!
Its not like Usmanov can’t afford to make a 1 Billion plus offer for the club. He is on all the wealth lists.
So don’t waste our time with this nonsense. Usmanov is CLEARLY in it for the money. Purely. All his moves have been classic textbook moves from the takeover vulture manual: backdoor purchases, avoiding triggering threshold bids, underhanded crap like literally buying off the press with free travel, destabilization campaigns, sock puppet internet rumours created by a paid PR firm and engineering phantom instability like fake “consortiums” that are “about to make a bid soon” etc.
Usmanov does everything and anything except actually making a full bid. Why? Because Usmanov doesn’t want to make a bid for Arsenal. He doesn’t want to own it – he just wants to induce a THIRD PARTY to come along with a big bid and in the process cash HIM out at a fat profit.
And the reason he wants a board seat is to have an inside view of strategy and numbers so that he can go off and engineer that sale. Its NOT so he can put in a 100 million transfer fund and appoint Thierry Henry as manager or whatever – that’s just nonsense that he insinuates to get the knuckle dragging element of in the Arsenal support on his side.
People have to be freaking blind to not see this entire strategy – its so bleeding obvious if you have even two brain cells available to connect.
Lee. The answer lies in the flame pit.
I think I too need therapy now…..
Like in politics across the globe when another party is in opposition What AU is doing is sit in opposition and opportunistically picked holes in what Kroenke has done. I am not defending Stan… btw
When the people have gripes about the current incumbent it’s always tempting to look to the nearest alternative, the one that panders to their dream and says everything they want to hear. And it’s easy to play the populist tune, tell people what they want to hear. It’s the sort of approach that the gullible fall for during times of unhappiness. If Kroenke/Arsenal were doing well then it’s unlikely that anyone would be looking for an alternative. If the Weimar Republic were doing well then it’s unlikely that anyone would have looked for the Nazis. All i’d say is be careful what you wish for.
Just my view and it is never intended to offend anyone??
Who exactly are ‘the people’ Ts??
33 years ago today around about this time a 2nd division team beat the Fa cup holders 1-0 at Wembley… Shocking.that 2nd division team was WHU and the cup holders were Arsenal made up of all British players without a frenchman setting us up for a big fall.there was no Gerv in sight…;-)
No answer then Ts…?
Afternoon Gooners.
Afternoon Rico…
Well done Adam, I was sitting in my cab almost cheering as I devoured you breathtakingly excellent post…
The NUJ must be truely proud mio amigo.
As far as i’m concerned, I cannot remember entering this period of the season and being feeling any less interested in what that bunch of mediocrity in Arsenal shirts are going to ‘achive’ over the next 13 months, than I presently do.
Indifference my friend…..
Afternoon Ak, how you doing?…
Rico, in about an hours time, I shall be sinking a few Peroni’s… 😉
So yeah, i’m good… 😀
See ya lata boss… 😛
Have 2 or 3 for me Ak 😆
The thing is we want to be in with a chance of beating the top teams.
We want to be feared week in week out.
The new stadium settling period is over, arsenal fans have had enough, everyone in the world knows we need a strong running defensive midfielder.
Stubboness is a weakness.
Wenger has now failed with his Barce-lite experiment,
he now tells us what we already know,
the germans have got it right,
but he has signed german players either to young or to old,
the players he should be signing age wise should be 24-27 range and current internationals, hungry players.
We done amazing well the last 10 games or so and papered the cracks.
Wenger said the other day how exciting the run in is for him.
Well it’s not for our fans who have to shell out hard earned.
I think the arsenal are in for shock renewall time.
you could be right there Fred.
Well said fred….
Well done Adam. The way you manipulate the English language is music to my mind and Ambrosia to my soul.
I read it around 4 times already……….. What? no mention of Remy?
Good evening Lady and Gentlemen.
I had a rather hard day today.
I did not have time to come on HH.
Have we signed the LOIC yet Adam?
Hi devil
Just popping off to eat, back in 20
Everything tsgh says Is right and everything everyone else says is wrong. But that’s just my opinion LOL.
Evening all. Fcuk me Adam what did you swallow a book last night. Good effort though, I take it you have sent for your season ticket. 🙂
All we can really say about Arsenal is they are very consistent another season with Fcuk all, but we may make the £30 million league. Looks like it could be another successful season.
Devil Careful. 🙂
Steve I have insisted that I pay extra money for next season’s ticket
Actually I swallowed a Chaffinch last night after it attacked me in the garden though a book would have been easier to digest.
Good effort mate, Them Finches do make some noise, Finch pie sounds quite nice.Get fed up with chicken. 🙂
Steve. 🙂
It’s such a pity that big stan won’t sell up.nice post adam.great and realistic evaluation of the precarious situation arsenal f.c is in.
You are not having my chickens Sp 😉
Each to their own bennybigboy…
With what ingredients do you make your chicken pies Sir SP?? 😉
I am off now my friends. A long hard day and I am in need of all the beauty sleep I can get.
I hope you sleep for hours and hours devil, nighty to you 🙂
I’m off too guys…
Night all, stay safe….
Morning all.
“Apparently”, we have reached an agreement with Higuain already.
Ho hum…..
Devil, i reckon, and i am taking a punt, that he starts off with chicken 🙂 🙂 🙂
His internal organs are ground down to be used for crust.
Well, once Rico hears about her chook going missing, she will certainly be after Steve lol.
Morning all..
Off out for the day – new post will be up around 9.30…
All are safe and sound Scott 😉
Have a good day all….
