A bit of fun, in case you missed it……

Morning all.

Not everyone is a fan of Twitter and not everyone has an account, so in case you missed Arsene Wenger’s Q&A on there yesterday, here it is:

Q – 17 years ago, did you choose Arsenal because your name is Arsene?

A –  Ha ha! Certainly not! Arsenal chose me and that was a huge honour – it’s a long love story because it’s 17 years.

Q – Ronaldo or Messi?

A – It’s difficult, Messi was on top until now but in the last year maybe Ronaldo is in front, he is very athletic.

Q – When you’ll get a top top quality coat?

A – Ha ha!

Q – Is there a Wenger version of the “hairdryer” treatment?

A – It can only be an exceptional behaviour and every manager uses it.

Q – What is your favourite hobby?

A – It is to read or watch political debates, or to walk or be outside in the nature.

Q – We have seen @JackWilshere play at many positions in the starting 11, but where’s his best position according to you?

A – Arsene says: ‘His best position is as a deep-lying midfielder, where he can be a distributor. He has a good burst and vision.

Q – Who’s the funniest player in your squad?

A – That’s difficult, I would say Wojciech – he likes a joke. Bendtner as well.

Q – If you could change one decision you made in your managerial career, what would it be?

A – Every season you make wrong decisions. You have to go with your gut feeling sometimes, but you learn and analyse.

Q – Chips?

A – Yes I like chips! But I try not to abuse it because I have a diet – I have to prepare like a player.

Here are a few questions our manager wasn’t so keen to answer:

These are some of the questions Wenger didn’t answer….

Have you ever considered a velcro fastening as an viable alternative for your inability to ‘do up’ your coat/sleeping-bag?

What’s the point in signing all these (accompanying pictures of Fellaini, Villa and Suarez) and never playing them ?

Can you please, please, please get rid of Bendtner?

Is your best piece of business A) signing Fàbregas, B) signing Henry for £11m it C) convincing Conte to take Bendtner?

Wouldn’t it have been better to have a smaller stadium that fans could fill and a trophy or two?

You have to chuckle at some of the questions and I’m not surprised he didn’t answer the ones highlighted, why should he?

Saying that, I’d love to have heard him answer one by saying, ‘January, I promise’!

Talking of Bendtner, the coach of Denmark, Morten Olson has urged him to leave us in January:

Bendtner scored two great goals for us in the game against Italy, but there were also things he lacked in the match and this only comes through playing games,”It is for this reason that he should find something new this winter, and so, we know that well.

I think he will make the recommendation to himself and that is the main thing. Footballers want to play football. He has maybe 10 years left to go; he must use them well.

Amen to that!

As for Arsene’s coat,  who gives a toot about that eh ?

That’s it for another day, only another ten days until we are back playing again……

    Morning all..

    That made me chuckle… superb indeed;

Brad, Wellington is on loan again in Spain; he qualifies for EU passport next year so we should see more of him I guess.

Re the u-21 match it is interesting that Ryo did not feature oddly enough… Bellerin was missing… but Yennaris played RB. Aprt from his height he is a far better player than CJ25 me think too…

What happened to the great talent Wellington Silva? Rated better than Neymar at U/17 level, guess we chose the wrong Brazilian.
Brad :- that’s a habit we seem to get from South America, it could be argued that we got the wrong Mexican in Vela / Chicharito or maybe he just got handled wrongly.

    Morning Rico.

Thanks for the twitter transcript. It shows that Arsene needs to have a sense of humour in his job.

I like to think that if I interviewed anyone that I would give some thought to what questions I would ask before hand.

  4. HenryB says:

The circumstances surrounding Vela are rather odd.

He has played really well in Spain and has always had a knack of scoring spectacular goals. It seems to me he would have complimented Ollie very well indeed.

We sometimes say that ‘X’ did not get a proper chance at Arsenal, but in Vela’s case that seems to be true.

  5. tsgh says:

Silva I think has got his mojo back; I guess him seeing Countinho and Neymar who were not as good as he was then excel has given him the kick he needs.

He has played over 10 games for Real Murcia in the 2nd division who are sitting 5 or 6th in the league behind the likes of Deportivo etc..

  6. tsgh says:

Judas has pulled out from the Dutch friendlies… he never thought about pulling out of any international when he was with us…

TV is reported to have pulled out of training earlier today… typical!

Have to say, that Adam looked absolutely majestic in his McAdam tartan kilt yesterday evening, as he tucked into his grilled haggis…

The size of his sporran made my eyes water…

Later on he gave a virtuoso performance on his Les Paul bagpipes…

A memorable time had by all.., 😀

    I’m here too – just!

Two laptops in the house, one has a virus and the other, windows has crashed and I’m in the mire 🙁

Strongly suspect mine has a virus too – could mean HH shuts for a few days 🙁

  9. rico says:

I’m off now, tomorrows post will, or should I say, hope will go up around 9.30…

Will have to drop my laptop and the menders so won’t be back until tomorrow evening if it’s fixed…

    Night all….

  10. BrainwashedKev says:

It was good to see Afobe back playing for the U21’s…
Injuries have almost destroyed that kids career.
But maybe he still had a chance to resurrect it, if he can remain fit and go out on loan in January?

  11. BrainwashedKev says:

A successful loan could see him back in the frame as a striking option for the club.
Having Afobe, Akpom, Sanogo, Campbell and maybe Wellington available next summer, could be a very pleasant problem for Wenger to have…

It certainly it’s a problem for Chelsea to have Lukaku out on loan in the EPL…
So why should it be a problem for Arsenal?

  12. BrainwashedKev says:

Apparently Diaby is almost ready to start running/training again…
It was thought that he was very close to retiring during this last injury marathon.
And with his Arsenal contract close to expiring, anymore problems and it’s quite possible that he still will retire…

  13. BrainwashedKev says:

I suppose as soon as he is fit, that the French National team will call him up and finally fcuk his career, once and for all, in some pointless ‘Friendly’…

  14. rico says:

    Morning all…

Hoorah, I have the internet, still no ‘windows’ though.

Don’t know whether to take the laptop to the local computer place, or call ‘Everest’… 😉

  15. rico says:

Kev, if he’s any sense, he’ll quit international football for the time being and concentrate on his club football…

  16. rico says:

I’m off to fitness, drop my laptop off on the way and hopefully catch up later this afternoon…

Have a good day all, don’t miss me too much.. 😉

New post hopefully will be up at 9.30….
