Hi guys.
Just thought I’d refresh the site with a bit of transfer gossip.
Danilo, no, not that one, the young Brazilian who plays for Palmeiras. The very same player who Arsenal allegedly made an offer for last summer but were turned down. According to Goal.com that is. Two other clubs are interested, Atletico Madrid and AS Monaco and according to the same outlet, one of the three clubs has already submitted an offer this month.
Just supposing it’s Arsenal who have made the bid for Danilo, if any of the three clubs have of course, and that offer is accepted, would his arrival spell the end of Sambi Lokonga, or with both in the squad, the future is sorted as far as the midfield goes?
The Mirror report that Unai Emery wants Mo Elneny to join him at Aston Villa. A good move for him if it means playing regular football but not for Arsenal unless someone else is coming in to replace him. Back to Danilo then…
The Mikhailo Mudryk rumours are still out there although I must say, it’s become boring now. If Arsenal really want him and he only wants to join Arsenal then it’s up to Shakhtar Donetsk to be sensible I think, otherwise they’ll end up with a player whose mind could be elsewhere. If Chelsea plan to blow us aside with a massive offer for the player, he can always say no and if he does, Shakhtar will get exactly what they deserve.
Joao Felix continues to be linked with Arsenal too. The Mirror however, suggest Man Utd have had an offer for the player turned down with Atletico holding out for a loan fee of £9.5m and an obligation to buy for £70.5m. I think Atletico are having a laugh.
There’s a whole lot of other stuff on NN but I’m skipping that…
A fair summation of the situation throw in Declan Rice and you have a picture building . It seems that players like what they see and their clubs just want to extract the maximum that they can .
unfortunately it means that the quick deals we wanted are unlikely to take place and will be dragged out until the end of the month and means that we will not get stronger until Spurs and united have gone . If at all.
Ah yes Potter, I forgot about Declan Rice. Can’t see him moving this month though, not with West Ham in dire straits right now.
After what Arteta said, I thought our business would be done by now. Arsenal must have known transfer fees other clubs might expect long before 1st Jan.
Arsenal must or Arsenal should.
Both but definitely should..
What a great F A Cup draw, Chelsea or City away. City two nil up after 35 mins.
Getting the business done early was just wishful thinking (make that 3 – 0) selling clubs are in no rush as the longer the negotiations go on the higher the price goes. A bit naive on Arteta’s part to believe otherwise.
Looks like it’s us or Oxford re City then…
I think he was just telling the board to get on with things whilst letting the fans know what he hopes for.
If Mudryk is watching the same match as I am, he will be very reluctant to join Chelsea. They look disjointed, sluggish and clueless. They are fielding some youngsters but they don’t seem to be putting any real effort in.
Commentators are airing all the excuses they can think of to excuse the poor showing by Potter’s side. Under the Abramovic regime he would have been sacked by now.
If we are letting Elneny go, I sincerely hope that we sign a like for like replacement before he goes.
I still think Potter was bonkers to take the job. Ageing squad, big egos, and from the outside it seems like the squad is built by anyone other than the manager. He won’t be afforded the time Arteta was although that’s probably what he needs.
Stevenage have beaten Villa. 😂
Aubameyang not in the squad today.
No surprise. What were they thinking signing him.
From Twitter:
BREAKING: Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk have agreed that Mykhailo Mudryk was born on 5 January 2001.
Woke me up , Can I go back to sleep now ?
New post up now
