Sherwood & Adebayor give the perfect Arsenal team talk….

Morning all.

It is a fantastic occasion – always was to play in these games. I don’t think there is much blood and thunder these days – I want it to be more of that.

I think that gives us the edge. We are possibly more functional than they are, but if they get into their stride we know they can be very dangerous, so we need to knock them off their stride.

It is my first time as a manager at the Lane to be standing opposite Arsene Wenger and hopefully I will get one over on them.

We’ve got the best game we could have, a north London derby. We won’t need any more motivation for that, will we? I am sure they will be up for it. It is probably the best game we could have.

I always thought it was a good time to be playing Arsenal, but it’s ups and downs. We have to soldier on, you can’t always win games and we know that.

What exactly gives them the edge?

Tottenham more functional than us?

A good time to play Arsenal?

Come on Tim, you know deep down where your heart is and it’s not with the team you manage right now, go on, admit, you were, are and always be a Gooner!!

Just like George Graham was and always will be……

But seriously, Sherwood is right, blood and guts will win this game today together with pride, passion, commitment and the never ending will to win.

The pride of North London is at stake, the bragging rights of winning the biggest derby in the capital of England..

Win today and we will have done the treble over the this season!

Adebayor has waded in to and his comments should spur our boys on:

Arsenal are a good team when they have the ball. When they don’t, they are not that good. When you put them under pressure, they can’t handle it. They don’t have a lot of physical presence. Apart from Flamini, I don’t see anyone who puts themselves into a proper battle.

Rosicky is not that type of player, Cazorla is not the type of player who defends. Arteta is trying to do it, but that’s not his job. They don’t have anybody who can say, ‘If I have to kick, I will kick. If we have to fight, I will put myself at the front of it’. That’s how we have to play. Push them and force them to make errors.

Not one single Arsenal player should need to be reminded about what today is all about but just in case they do then I hope they take on board the comments from a man who once declared his love for us and show him what utter poppycock he speaks .

Lets see that fighting spirit, that desire and passion for the red and white of the club and the never say die belief….

We haven’t won at the dump for a while now, let’s do something about that today Arsene!!

COYRRG’s….

    Morning all.

    Boring Boring Dirty Lucky Chelsea

  3. Scott from Oz says:

It is growing, hey Kev haha

  4. BrainwashedKev says:

    Functional equates to Physical

  5. rico says:

Massive game, three points are needed…

  6. rico says:

Kev, we have a few ‘functional’ players :)

  7. potter says:

Reading between the lines you could argue that their intention today will be to get physical and try to affect our game that way. It would be nice if such comments would influence the officials and to think that they might be looking for such over zealous contact but we all know that Dean of course can’t read. It could of course be a double bluff hoping that our players will be looking over their shoulders and upping their responses and in trying to protect themselves fall foul of the said Mr Dean themselves . Nothing that Spurs would want more than to play a 10 or 9 man Arsenal . Nothing will surprise me this evening, I hope for a win , I always do but I fear a match of controversy to take the spotlight away from Stamford Bridge and to point the advantage up to Merseyside where we all know that media feel it belongs.

Incidentally :-Full name Michael Leslie Dean
    Born 2 June 1968 (age 45)
    Wirral, England
Supports :- Tranmere apparently ( not that far from Liverpool though )

  8. BrainwashedKev says:

Well said Emmanuel Adebayor, Steve Bould should remind our players of those remarks before they run out today.

    Morning All.
Morning Rico, interesting post and more interesting to me, not many empty pre-match comments from the Arsenal camp. Exactly how I like it…
Morning Adam, Lee, Scott, Wath et al….

    COYFRRG

  9. Scott from Oz says:

    Let them talk.
    We will do them over.

  10. rico says:

If it’s them who get physical it will us playing against less men.

We don’t do dirty tactics, well, other than Flamini and he needs to keep his head today…

  11. BrainwashedKev says:

    Scott, yeah it is isn’t it… ;-)

Scott, i’ve asked Rico to pass on my email address to you.
I won’t be able to read emails until the 24th, so i’m not ignoring you Digger.
We can arrange to meet before the City game ok?

  12. rico says:

I hope Dean sways towards the other side in Liverpool, they still have a chance for top four..

Morning Kev, agree, nice to see our lot are keeping quiet…

  13. rico says:

Which email address though Kev, you have hundreds ;)

  14. Pryce says:

MORNING all,let win this and start looking up again.COME ON YOU GUNNERS

  15. BrainwashedKev says:

I thought that I heard on the radio this morning that Flamini is injured…. :-(

    Hope i’m mistaken.

  16. rico says:

    Spot on Pryce..

I haven’t hear that Kev, maybe AW is keeping him away as he knows he’ll be up for this… ;)

  17. BrainwashedKev says:

    Rico, you ol’ tinker,

  18. Scott from Oz says:

    Cheers, Kev.

  20. rico says:

    Mail sent to Scott Kev…

  21. rico says:

    :) Scott, all sorted then….

  22. rico says:

One of my own comments went into spam, tsk tsk wordpress….

  23. Scott from Oz says:

It leaves me with a bit of spare time, which is great, Rico.
At the same time, there is plenty of Arsenal things for me to do.
    Perfect balance, i say.

  24. rico says:

Sure does Scott, and plenty of beer times no doubt….

  25. Scott from Oz says:

Time for a few, no doubt :)

  26. rico says:

You’ll never want an Aussie beer again ;)

  27. Micko says:

You won’t have a problem getting served in the 12 Pins Scott, the bar staff are the quickest out there.

Been a while since we’ve had a 5-4 at the Lane, nine different scorer’s that day, a treble would be very nice indeed rico.

  28. rico says:

It sure would Micko, that’s big bragging rights….

  29. ozgunner says:

will be tuned in via the truck again tonight – big night thankfully we haven’t been giving much lip on this one as that tack hasn’t been working well for us. Should do them over without to much damage given their form and injuries – 3-0 would be nice. Come on UTD… now there’s a first :-)

  30. Micko says:

Henry, Pires, Vieira, Ljungberg, Lauren, no weak links there.

  31. ozgunner says:

sounds like they will be well up for it but… their players also declared a changed mentality against Benfica and we all saw how well that went :-)

  32. rico says:

Said the same about Utd earlier Oz, really want them to win and shake over the dippers…

Stop it Micko, saddens me reading that… ;)

  33. potter says:

Have a good trip Scott. Living 120miles from London I cant just jump in the car for a quick pint but usually stop for a drink at the block 10 bar after matches to watch the highlights and let the crowd go. If you are near there come up. The accent should give you away.

  34. rico says:

I’m off for a while as have a few things to do before ko….

    Enjoy the sunshine…

  35. ozgunner says:

me too – shower, shave and work

  36. tsgh says:

Hiya and afternoon Rico and all…

Nice Scott, will try to make the u-21 game at the Lane when you are here…

No time like now as the saying goes… the last we beat the sperds in their own back yard, Silva and Toure were the CD pairing…

Cesc and Abou Diabolic were the midfield 2 and Hleb was making noise about leaving us… we even had Alumnia in goal…

Making my way to the lane… God help me as I will be in the away section… ;)

  37. tsgh says:

Unfortunately we only have Per available out of the last 5 scorers (Mertesacker, Ramsey, Van Persie, Nasri & Walcott….) at the lane…

Ox, OG12 and Poldi need to step up today…

  38. tsgh says:

AW on the drought-“I believe that when one day I look back, certainly I will be very proud of what I have done,” Wenger said. “It was a trophyless period but certainly a much more difficult and sensitive period, and we needed much more commitment and strength than in the first part of my stay here. I went for a challenge that I knew would be difficult because we had to fight with clubs who lose £150m per year when we had to make £30m per year.”

  39. potter says:

Ah the anomolies of football. Last week Arteta has to retake a penalty because of encroachment. This week Liverpool have 3 or 4 in the box but thats alright.

  40. Adam says:

Potter. Surely that little dickhead Raphael should have gone?
Point taken about the penalty though. You can feel the desperation in the Man U team.

  41. Adam says:

    More Botox needed for Moyes.
    And a cab?

  42. potter says:

guess what 2nd pen and Clattenburg. lets them go again. by the rukes yes ge should.

  43. Lee says:

It amazes me how we couldn’t beat this shower of shite!!

  44. Lee says:

Fuck me there’s some lookers in that scouse team!! Wouldn’t fancy bumping into Skrtel or Flannagan on a dark night….scare the living day lights out of you!!!!

  45. Adam says:

    Lee. Me too.
    But then again……

  46. Lee says:

Rooney with his new thatch is sight for sore eyes!

  47. Adam says:

Lee. It must make him irresistible to all those Grannies though. :)

  48. tsgh says:

The ‘Levy Out’ placards are out in north London…

  49. Adam says:

TS. That constitutes cruelty to rodents. :)

  50. Lee says:

Levy the shrew faced fucktard, now there’s a really horrible member of the human race!

  51. Joaquim Moreira says:

    MU hadn’t any ideas!
    3 penalties… wrong!

  52. tsgh says:

    :D afternoon gents

The sperds I have seen around have similar coal miners faces that has ‘why do I support this excuse of a team’ plastered all over it……

Nice day in North London albeit…

  53. Joaquim Moreira says:

The teams are in for today’s Premier League clash against Tottenham.

ARSENAL: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Arteta, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Podolski, Cazorla, Giroud

Subs: Fabianski, Monreal, Vermaelen, Jenkinson, Flamini, Gnabry Sanogo

  54. Adam says:

    Fergie’s expression is excellent.

  55. rico says:

What a shower of s….. the Mancs are now…

    Afternoon all..

  56. rico says:

Not surprised Flamini is on the bench Jm…

  57. Lee says:

And we still couldn’t beat them….

  58. Lee says:

    We going to win today?

  59. Adam says:

    Should be 5-0.
I am glad we never signed Mario Fellatio.

  60. Adam says:

    Oops. Sorry. Spellcheck.

  61. rico says:

So where is this Kallstom guy??

  62. rico says:

So am I Adam, I guess he looked good in a shite Moyes team at Everton…

  63. rico says:

I’d like to think we will Lee but…..

  64. Adam says:

Liverpool have been good today and MU have been shite. Just like Costa.

  65. Micko says:

    On his back rico.

You be careful out there tsgh, hostile territory.

    Scousers up to 2nd.

  66. rico says:

I still think Liverpool will win the PL and we’ll be fighting for 4th…

  67. rico says:

    ‘Planking’ with Diaby maybe Micko….

  68. Micko says:

I knew someone on here would know the technical term it !

  69. tsgh says:

Thanks Micko… midfield crucial… against Sandro and Bentaleb…

  70. Lee says:

He is a plank but one that’s on £60k pw for doing fuck all…

  71. rico says:

:) Lee, no arguing with that….

  72. BrainwashedKev says:

    COYFRRG

  73. BrainwashedKev says:

Got a feeling that Oxlade-Chamberlain and Podolski could be pivitol today.

  74. stevepalmer1 says:

    Nice one Rico,
Liverpool with 3 dodgy penalties and a Suarez offside goal, divers all over the field and a ref from the Wirral. United claimed for plenty and all they got was a dodgy decision and a player sent off. Souness can bleet as much as he likes about outplaying United and how Liverpool can start believing they can win the title as i’m sure he knows as well as me that if they had that ref for the rest of their games i would believe it as well. All we have to do is play one game at a time concentrate and keep the mistakes to a minimum and we can throw a spanner in the works COYRRG’s

  75. Joaquim Moreira says:

    i’m in the way out…
Catch you all at the half time

  76. rico says:

COYRRG’s. Early goal and batter them!!

ENJOY GOONER FAMILIA. LONDON IS RED AND WHITE!!!!!!!!

  81. Lewis says:

    Good day all.

    Great start.

    HAVE TO WIN!!

  82. Woody says:

This is almost as nerve wracking as the city v Wigan game!

  83. Scott from Oz says:

    What a start!
    Cracking shot.
    Let’s go on with it.
    Morning guys.

  84. Lee says:

He has to put that away!

  85. rico says:

    Ox – the simple pass…..

  86. Lewis says:

    What a twat

  87. rico says:

Flat ball to Pod should have been played then we’d be 2-0 up…

  88. rico says:

    COYRRG’s…

  89. Lewis says:

This lot are shit, we must beat them.

  90. Scott from Oz says:

    Ginge, great article as well….thanks.

  91. rico says:

We seriously lack a midfield enforcer…

  92. rico says:

Sagna needs to be careful, Dean will send him off if he gets half a chance…

  93. Lewis says:

Lads need to up it a little!

  94. rico says:

    Feck, that was too close…

  95. Lewis says:

Ox needs do a bit of of finishing practice!

  96. Woody says:

We desperately need to get hold of the ball

  97. AndrewH says:

    Keep the ball will you!

  98. Lewis says:

Yep, our midfield are being overrun. Bunch of tiddlers.

  99. rico says:

    Worrying….

  100. rico says:

Has Giroud kicked the ball yet??

  101. Lee says:

‘Ere Sid just took a blinding free kick!

  102. rico says:

    :) Lee..

  103. rico says:

    Get onside Giroud!!

  104. Woody says:

Why is giroud offside every single time?

  105. Lewis says:

Does Giroud understand the offside rule?

  106. Lewis says:

We look dangerous but can’t finish!

  107. Woody says:

We really could and should have scored 1 or 2 more goals with these good breaks we’ve had

  108. Lewis says:

Don’t think Sagna wants to be on that pitch much longer?!

  109. Woody says:

I think the early goal made us sit back and protect too much.

We need to get players forward to support giroud

  110. tsgh says:

    I couldn’t even celebrate the goal… ;)
The away fans Bale song is too hard not to sing along too but dont fancy getting lynched this afternoon…
AW needs to move Ox to rhs and put TR07 next to Arteta…

  111. Joaquim Moreira says:

    Gibb is very weak today
Giroud is always off-side! He must know the rule..
    Sagna must be carefully
The ball must be more in Cazorla feet

  112. Scott from Oz says:

Great start, but yes, we should be two up, at least.
I just asked elsewhere, will I be honoured next week for my first game, or will Wenger’s 1000th game in charge make it all
    about him :)

  113. rico says:

Agree Woody, second half we need to do a bit more attacking…

  114. rico says:

Scott, you do realise that you have to write a post each day that you are here to share your experience of Arsenal?

  115. rico says:

    COYRRG’s…..

  116. Woody says:

    dear oh dear

  117. rico says:

Bloomin heck, how did they not score…

  118. rico says:

Get Monreal on to play ahead of Gibbs..

  119. Woody says:

    KEEP HOLD OF THE BALL!

  120. Scott from Oz says:

Rico, that could be dangerous haha

  121. rico says:

    Bloody sloppy!!

  122. Lee says:

We need to wake the fuck up!!!!

  123. rico says:

I know Scott but we need to win!

  124. rico says:

    Or get TV on?

  125. Woody says:

This is where we are not quite there mentally compared to other top teams. We don’t have any composure

  126. rico says:

    Get a feckin grip Arsenal…

  127. Scott from Oz says:

Rico, I meant me writing the posts lol

  128. rico says:

Giroud has been poor so far, very poor…

  129. rico says:

:) Scott, but you’d be doing Wath a favour as I’m on holiday…. lol

  130. Lewis says:

Seriously need some different striking options.

  131. Woody says:

No other real option tho eh Rico

  132. Scott from Oz says:

Giroud hasn’t done enough to rate him as poor :)

  133. Scott from Oz says:

I will help out, for sure, Rico.

  134. rico says:

Sanogo Woody, throw him on and use his pace….

    Spurs wouldn’t have a clue…

  135. rico says:

    Thanks Scott…

  136. Lewis says:

Defence have been good. Forwards, not so much:

  137. rico says:

    Wake up Arsenal ffs!!

  138. Woody says:

Can’t cope with much more of this…

  139. Lee says:

We need to get a grip ffs!

  140. Woody says:

We’re playing like we’ve only got 8 players

  141. rico says:

What is all this hoofing about, get the ball on the ground and bloody pass it…

  142. Lee says:

We ‘re struggling to string passes together!

  143. rico says:

    I’d get Giroud off…

  144. rico says:

    Totally outplayed…

  145. Lee says:

Keep giving the ball away! I can’t take much more of this!!!

  146. Woody says:

    Blatant pen

  147. rico says:

That’s a feckin penalty Dean you knob!!

  148. Lewis says:

    Very poor other than defence.

  149. Lee says:

    Now that’s a penalty!

  150. Lewis says:

    Shud be a pen

  151. Scott from Oz says:

    Penalty and 2nd yellow.

  152. Lewis says:

Sometimes Giroud doesn’t look like he’s ever played football before.

  153. Woody says:

Passing has been very poor today

  154. rico says:

Everything has been very poor today apart from one wonder strike….

  155. Woody says:

I’d have to disagree there because we’ve defended very well.

Apart from adebayors weak effort a few mins ago I can’t remember scez making a save

  156. Lewis says:

We’ve been lucky spurs are awful.

  157. Lee says:

    FOYS!!!!

  158. Lee says:

Ha ha love seeing those spud wankers all upset!!

  159. Woody says:

    Come on!

    3 games 3 clean sheets…

  160. rico says:

Feckin heck, how exactly did we win that??
    :) :)

  161. Lewis says:

    Merts and Kos, immense.

  162. Scott from Oz says:

    Bloody beauty!!!!!

  163. Adam says:

Thank the defence for that one.
    Bye bye Giroud….

  164. rico says:

Well played the Arsenal defence, stunning!!

  165. rico says:

Giroud was shocking Adam, absolutely shocking. I think he has other things on his mind and right now I understand why Sanogo played at the Ems against BM…

  166. Scott from Oz says:

Tommy just stuffed his shirt down the shirt of a young guy in a wheelchair….pure class!

  167. Woody says:

We played with fear going forward but outstanding at the back.

More of the same defending next week, but let’s hope we can offer a bit more going forward

  168. rico says:

    Agree Scott…

  169. Scott from Oz says:

Giroud is gone already, I reckon.

  170. bob john says:

Only half the team seemed to realise it was a derby!

  171. Adam says:

That’s what happens when you put your old chap before your team Rico.

  172. DutchGooner10 says:

Sorry peeps been from the Gooner wire tap for a week.

    Where’s Giroud going??

  173. rico says:

I know Adam…. That has to be his worst performance in an Arsenal shirt…

  174. rico says:

Dg, no idea but he’s been caught talking to some ‘super agent….

  175. Adam says:

Dutch. Somewhere a long way away I hope.

  176. Scott from Oz says:

He just did not put In A shift today.
Usually, we can hang our hat on the effort he puts in tracking back etc etc
    But not today.

  177. DutchGooner10 says:

    Tnx Adam/Rico

Indeed F*CK OFF traitor/backstabber. The liberty some individuals take is astounding.

  178. Joaquim Moreira says:

Where was Podolski in the 2nd half?
Giroud was away of the game
we were poor on the 2nd half but we were strong in defence.
Let’s start thinking in the next game!

  179. Adam says:

Dutch. Not traitor but rather he can’t keep his fly buttoned.

  180. rico says:

Dg, I think he’s just been silly.

    But he was awful today…

  181. Adam says:

If you want to hear some serious bollox listen to Merson and Souness on Sky.

  182. DutchGooner10 says:

    Adam

Last time I checked we pay footballers not playboys.

  183. rico says:

I have been Adam, I thought they spoke a lot of sense. ;)

  184. Adam says:

Dutch. Whatever he has or has not been doing, it ain’t helped his football, that’s for sure. He needs to move on and so do we.

  185. Adam says:

It’s good I know you are joking Rico. :)

  186. Scott from Oz says:

Dutch, his wife has told him she’s stick with him as long he moves back to France.

  187. stevepalmer1 says:

Well 3 points and lets face it that is all we wanted, as far as bragging rights i wouldnt say i could brag much after that. Our defence stayed strong but no thanks to our midfield who are very lightweight. The Qx’s efforts were pathetic but still a lot better than Giroud. Respect goes out to Sagna again booked early but still kept his composure we have to keep him.

  188. rico says:

:) Adam. You know me too well…

  189. DutchGooner10 says:

    Adam

I did catch his tweeted reproach.

So, it’s hard to ignore his ‘hanky panky spanky’ in relation to his latest omissions or performances.

    Indeed, for sure.

  190. rico says:

Off to slave over the oven…

  191. Gonerjoe says:

For the rest of the season I will have a heart doctor with me every time I watch Arsenal play for the rest of the season.

  192. Adam says:

Rico. And the other way round for sure. :)

  193. rico says:

The ‘double jamie’ on Sky Sports is sickly…..

  194. Lee says:

Who is Gir-rude? That Scouse pillock’s accent! Actually his pronounciation is pretty apt….

  195. Adam says:

It’s a case of the unpalatable and the incomprehensible.

  196. ozgunner says:

uumm don’t think I will bother with the replay reading the forum. The stats didn’t look good for us either against a poor side. Bet wenger is cursing those lost windows now given lover boys head trips – least we are secure in fourth again bar a catastrophe :-)

  197. rico says:

    Gi-rude was awful!!

  198. AndrewH says:

It wasn’t so long ago, we were attacking superbly but had to score loads because of our defence. What’s happened?

  199. Adam says:

I’m off for the evening. Night Rico and all.

  200. rico says:

    The defence has improved enormously…

    Did we miss Ozil??

    I’d say so…..

  201. rico says:

Night Adam, I won’t be far behind you….

  202. AndrewH says:

ts, just read that Guardian article.

“He failed crucially to sign a striker for this season, a deficiency likely to cost him another title”

So, so true. That and Walcott and Ramsey’s injuries.

  203. AndrewH says:

Ozil wouldn’t have stopped them steamrolling past us for most of the game though. Maybe Wilshere and Ramsey might have helped? But Arteta, Alex, then Flamini, we just didn’t stop them in midfield. Three very important points however. Gives a bit of breathing space before the Semi which I see as our most important game now.

  204. rico says:

But when we attacked we had nothing……. Not one player could get the ball and hold on..

  205. AndrewH says:

They were in our faces straight away, always pressing, I guess they tired in the end and that is what saw us through. Risky with 6 defenders on, but nice when it works. Agree needed Ozil with an out ball, but only work if Walcott running onside to collect.

  206. rico says:

But with Tomas and Ox, we had pace which would have complimented Ozil..

Anyway, he didn’t play so I guess I am just clutching at straws…

  207. rico says:

The reality is, we have done the treble over the most disliked and for that alone, I’m happy :P

  208. rico says:

Time for me to say night night to all…

Great result, and lets just be grateful that our defence was on form….

    Night all…

  209. AndrewH says:

Night rico, having a problem deciding if I dislike Spuds more than ManU. Or Chelsea with Moureen or City. Really not sure :-)

Only softened towards ManU because they look hopeless, think they still take the award. Although supporting them today is awkward.

  210. Micko says:

We beat the scum at the shit-hole, that’s all that matters today, normal service resumed, they can crawl back under their rocks for another season.
Oh when the spurs go marching down,
Oh when the spurs go marching down,
I wanna be in that number, oh when the spurs go marching down.

Ooh to, ooh to be, ooh to be a Gooner !!!

  211. BrainwashedKev says:

Oh dear, Mick has been on the potchem again…

  212. BrainwashedKev says:

Being serious, that’s three clean sheets and three successive wins over the Press/Media’s little London favourites…
Those Press wankers will be depressed…

  213. Micko says:

Kev, give me a break, it’s St. Paddy’s weekend, we’ll pick through the bones tomorrow if you like.

    Nite matey.

  214. Scott from Oz says:

    It is an away win.
    An NLD win.
The rest just does not seem to matter :)

  215. Lee says:

Monkey boy last player to score in a NLD for them!!

  216. Scott from Oz says:

Last goal they celebrated a goal against us was the non Newcastle goal last season hahaha

  217. Scott from Oz says:

    Last “time”…..

  218. Adam says:

    Morning Rico, Scott and Lee.
We beat Everton 4-1 at home last week then got a draw away against a team many consider to be the very best and then we beat Spurs away at their place. Spurs lose to Chelsea away 4-0, lose at home to Benfica 3-1 then get beaten at home by their local rivals in that same week. Then that prize plonker Tim ‘Grey Man’ Sherwood says we are just papering over the cracks.
Mind you, we were shit. :)

  219. Lee says:

I hope that prick agent Sherwood stays there for ever!!

  220. Adam says:

Morning Brudder. Me too, only this time round they haven’t got any big players to sell. That £110 million is probably worth about 30 by now.
Levy too. I hope he stays. That mob need a rodent at the helm.

  221. Lee says:

    Brudder….
He was looking particularly rodent-esque when the camera panned to him yesterday!

  222. Adam says:

Funniest non-Spurs image of the weekend has to be Ferguson’s face in the crowd at Old Toilet. Priceless. He could come back you know.

  223. Adam says:

Lee. He was. Particularly the way he was holding that peanut between his little paws and nibbling on it with his two little front teeth. :)
He’s probably onto Lewis in the Bahamas as we speak.
” Oh Mr Lewis, you remember that £110 million you said I could spend last Summer. Well, I’ve pissed it all up the wall. Could I have some more please?”

  224. Lee says:

I think they should stick with Agent Baby’s Bum Moyes!!! Talk about out of his depth, it’s hilarious! Shame we couldn’t get more than a point off them this season!

  225. Lee says:

Happy birthday Lee Dixon and Pat Rice!

  226. Scott from Oz says:

    Morning guys.
    Adam….30 million?
    You are too kind!
How does that strike rank among NLD winning goals?
It is almost a slap in the face though…..look what happens when we pull the trigger!!!!!

  227. Scott from Oz says:

    Two legends…..happy birthday!!

  228. potter says:

.look what happens when we pull the trigger!!!!!

We don’t shoot enough , goal difference could be our downfall. The lack of goals may come back to haunt us.

  229. stevepalmer1 says:

    Morning all,
Not a great game i must admit but 3 points and were still in the premier race. Many will be upset that many Arsenal players look to be coming to the end of their Arsenal career’s but really we should wait till that happens to start worrying about it. At this stage of the season we should only worry about the next game everything else will come out in the wash. I believe we earned our 3 pts yesterday our defence were tireless in their pursuit to keep a clean sheet our back 4 really did work hard. After Rosiskis wonder goal we closed up shop and although we did venture forwards, that peetered out by half time. Maybe not the shift i would have liked up front but in a roundabout way all helped out to man the pumps. I feel that some of our players have other things on their minds other than football, and Wenger and Arsenal need to put some players minds at rest, after all our next game needs clear focussed minds or we will be punnished. Injuries are getting serious many having treatment and not many for the Manager to pick from. When looking at the Arsenal squad when all fit i could see them win things but as the injuries build up our chances begin to wobble, It’s wobble time now and the injured will have to start trying harder to make the grade otherwise our chance will slip away. Arsene Wenger has not brought players we all thought he should but even so we still have enough to win something. Jack Aaron Diaby Theo Kalstrom and those i’ve missed have to step up and lighten the load, do it soon or say goodnight for another season.

  230. Scott from Oz says:

Steve, lock in the FA Cup.
The league will be very tough, though.

  231. potter says:

You might see two of those Steve but don’t hang your hat on it.

  232. stevepalmer1 says:

Morning Fellers, 2 better than nothing Potter, Scott, anything will do me mate.

  233. Scott from Oz says:

Steve, I know I am always positive, and always saying I am confident, but is not always the case.
On the cup, I could not be more confident, and defending like we did v Spuds is why.
We are a different side…..a hardened, resilient side.

  234. stevepalmer1 says:

Got to say that in previous seasons i have had a good idea of how things would work out but this season, with clubs with new managers and some big spending i really dont know what to expect from the Arsenal. One day they turn up and turn on the style, another they just dont. I wait and wonder what kind of team we really have. Fabianski for me has done nothing wrongin his last games, but talk of him leaving elevates Shzezesney who always worries me. I’m sure i am not alone but we really have to pick players on form and worry about who leaves and who don’t when the time comes. Giroud looked a shadow of what he has been but i feel he has a lot on his mind. Sanogo is not really ready but i feel his mind must be more settled, of course we should have brought a striker but Wenger wasn’t to know Girouds Predicament prior. He knows now so a striker should be his priority.

  235. Scott from Oz says:

Yes, Steve, I truly think Giroud will leave, so we have no option but to buy.

  236. stevepalmer1 says:

Scott your comments remind me of Wenger always positive but you can sense that not all is right.

  237. Scott from Oz says:

    On Giroud?
Mate, he was not there yesterday.
I can not blame him for feeling the pressure, but he did bring it on himself.
On the club…I will forever stay positive.
Sometimes, I am very worried about games, though I never would say so :)
FA Cup….I reckon it is ours.

  238. stevepalmer1 says:

I would like to agree with you Scotty but we know whats happened in the past, and if i speak the truth i just dont know who’s going to show up on the day.

  239. Scott from Oz says:

    Time will tell, for sure.

  240. stevepalmer1 says:

I often wonder what the Manager says in his pre match talk as i am certain that has an impression on the players. In all honesty i cannot see him shout and holler. I can see him using the calm voice and using his psyci to get his point accross where i believe players respond to a warrior approach a few fcuks and blows used to work me up and i’m sure many in the fireing line respond better to a few home truths.

  241. Scott from Oz says:

Once a manager has been there long enough, the guys would know he is putting it on if he suddenly ranted though.
A cup final…..if a man can not lift for that, then he is simply not a professional.

  242. BrainwashedKev says:

Mick, if you can’t enjoy a NLD win at the Cesspit, on St Pat’s Day, then when can you enjoy it?

‘Give it’ to all those plastic Mancs in your local…

  243. rico says:

    Morning all..

    New post up now…

  244. stevepalmer1 says:

You and me are just working class type of guys, now i don’t know much about you but i do know your passionate, All i know of our players is from a young age they have had the comfort of good wages and a comfortable lifestyle and that breeds in them security many take years for the passion to build up and a cup final is much the same as any other game. Seeing how our team has performed for a few years does not fill me with that much hope as not many of our players have been with us that long to know what 9 years means to the supporter. They see it as a job and they know their money will be paid into their accounts at the end of the month whatever happens. Working class people that work hard for their money have a different mindset, many feel that they may never have another chance and give it their all. A NLD you cannot get better than that to spur you on, but yesterday showed that meant very little to the players. Tottenham had something to prove, many criticised by their manager who is under enourmous pressure and he would have drummed into them the importance of this match, yes they lost narrowly but they went home and i believe it would have meant something to them, We celebrated in front of our fans but for a few who really tried they would have gone home and had a nice comfortabe evening. Just my view
