What an idiot Bendtner is and how he’s still on Arsenal’s books, I’ll never know.
Most sensible people, regardless of how much alcohol they have drunk, will usually spend the last pound in their pocket to get a taxi home. Yet over rated, over ego’d and arrogant twit Nicklas Bendtner obviously earns so much money he doesn’t know what to do with it does he.
If he did, he too would have hired that taxi to take him home, but instead, he chose to drive himself, on the wrong side of the road and all whilst having well over the legal limit of alcohol in his body!
Unsurprisingly, Juventus want to send him packing and should they succeed, I guess he’ll be heading back to Arsenal. Not that he is eligible to play. I don’t know why we don’t just tear up his contract and kick him out.
Denmark have already banned him from playing for his country for six months!
Something which has taken longer than six months is our decline.
This is from an article in The Independent:
The great eras in football tend not to fall to pieces overnight or end in one great Hollywood finale, instead they disintegrate over months and years until one day no-one can quite recall what it was like when they so impregnable and so certain.
Arsenal will still be in fifth place in the Premier League come tomorrow, only five points off the Champions League places but, as so often is the case these days, they find themselves diminished.
We have disintegrated over the years and what is most concerning is that no-one at the club appears to have seen it happening. Or if they did, they didn’t care enough to try and do something to stop it getting so bad.
Why are those on the board, still on the board? Apart from an odd speech here and there from PHW, what exactly do any of them do, as I sure as heck don’t know.
Why hasn’t Stan ‘I’m here for life’ not bought in his own staff by now, people he trusts and can rely on to do what would be right in order to protect his huge investment?
Wouldn’t you, especially when you are sat a million miles away in a different country?
My own view is that he doesn’t really care what we do on the pitch, just off it and how much money he can make rather than spend, and what Liam Brady has had to say kind of supports that:
I hope that Arsene is given the resources to spend and have a go at putting us back where we were eight years ago.
I think he should be given that chance and, from where I am in the club, I don’t think there’s any pressure on him – I think the board are 100 per cent behind him.
The majority of the fans are behind him, the staff are behind him and I think the board are behind him. So we wait to see what the future brings.
Now that we are in a very strong financial position, I hope the financial fair play thing kicks in. There are a lot of people saying it will never happen. So I think Platini and UEFA are under the spotlight to see what they can do.
If that kicks in and you’re only allowed to spend what you make it’ll put us in an even stronger position.
Missing out on Champions League football will mean missing out on a large amount of money, fans not renewing their season tickets etc, there goes a bit more and let’s not forget how much the club make on a match day from the food/drink stalls.
That will all add up and we won’t be making as much money as we are used too.
Arsene Wenger doesn’t get given much now, it could be less the way things are going!
Finally, there are more stories going around about how Steve Bould has been stopped from doing the defensive training regime he started back in the summer. You know the training, the kind of stuff that saw us have one of the meanest defence earlier this season.
Suggestion is Wenger didn’t like the praise and attention his understudy was getting.
If that is true, then sorry, it’s time for him to be employed by someone else.
Wenger insists he loves the club, behaving like that would suggest he cares no more than Stan, after all, if Stan cared, he’d have known and would have done something about it wouldn’t he!
That’s it for another day….
